Speaker 1 (00:00):
Obviously.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
I know you guys will be interested in DeMarcus, So
talking with him, I think he does understand the severity
of this and how lucky we were that nobody was injured.
I do believe that he's remorseful. We are going to
let the legal process take place. The league has a
process as well. He won't be suspended as it relates
to this week. There'll be some things that we deal
with internally. I'll keep that in house with him. But

(00:24):
I did appreciate his ability to acknowledge it to the
team while also not minimizing or undermining the severity of
what could have been. And I do trust that he's
going to learn from it, and I think it'll be
a good learning opportunity for our whole football team.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
And that's how we'll move forward. So he will, he will.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
And you have you heard anything from movie.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
About what they usually they go through, you know, just
their process and waiting until his court date for anything official,
and so that usually takes some time. But they're aware
of it and we'll kind of let them take their course.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
He did, Yeah, a meeting setting, he did.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
Yes, you said you had a good heart.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Expand on that, Yeah, I think you know, I think
you know when you're around certain people and you just trust,
you know, just based on your gut instinct, you know.
I think it was a bad decision he made. I
don't think that makes him a bad person.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
And I do.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Believe this is something that with the words that he said,
our guys will learn from it and hopefully nobody's ever
going to repeat something like this and let it be
a learning opportunity and a fortunate outcome. And the fact
that nobody was injured. I mean, you look at some
situations and circumstances that can occur, and I don't believe
there was malicious intentions, you know, but God forbid if

(01:39):
if something would happen to him or somebody else, you know,
that's what we're grateful for. And I think I just,
you know, I trust my in my heart that that
I believe him, and and I know that he's remorseful
and regretful, and I think forgiveness is a real thing.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Like that.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
Yeah, I mean, I know you can, you're going to
talk to a little bit, he's a human and everything else,
But is your initial actually ever like what the heck?

Speaker 2 (02:05):
I mean, I think you want to ask questions to
try to understand, you know, and and you know, I'll
tell you guys what I told him. You know, there's
too many avenues for rides or ubers or whatever it is,
and we got to be smarter than that. And and
I do trust that there was a genuine and a
sincere regret remorse, and I think he'll apply the learning

(02:25):
lessons moving forward. No, No, you know, he was he
was out, and you know that was kind of how
do you.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Get back to football?

Speaker 1 (02:37):
You Bopton said, you're not gonna let a team be
to support yeah, or this week?

Speaker 4 (02:41):
What goes into that?

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Well, I think, you know, I think the biggest thing
is is addressing the things that need to be addressed
and how it applies for us being able to move forward.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
It's all about teaching.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
It's all about creating the you know, the understanding and
the honest perspective of how we move forward.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
And what's in front of us. You know, all we
can do is the next right thing.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
I think there was a lot of good learning opportunities
as what this season has really been full of. We've
got a lot of guys that are experiencing things for
the first time, and you know, I I have seen
the resolve of this group show itself. Now we've got
to do it, and we are looking for more consistency obviously,
But all we can do is have a good practice
today and focus on you know, one day at a time.

(03:29):
You know, there's some similarities, but I think you know,
when you look at it schematically, and some of which
has been you know, I mean clearly, you know they've
they've done a good job. I think the record's misleading.
You know, they've done a good job greg winning the
last two games. They're coming off their by you know,
there's still some foundational things. But you know, defensively, Joe
Woods has done a nice job. And then Kubiak, you know,
based on just losing some of those receivers, he has

(03:49):
done a really good job of being able to utilize
a variety of different personnels and and you still see
the same influence that coach Rizzy has on the teams.
So but I do know this, I've seen, especially in
the last wach a really good football team. They've beaten
an Atlanta team that's leading their division. And you look
at the way that the Browns played last Thursday against
one of the better teams in this league and and

(04:10):
they did an excellent job being.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Able to take care of them as well.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
How much.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
I think he's a really good player.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
You know, he's got a bunch of experience, Maria can
activate all parts of the field.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
I think he's sneaky mobile.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
If you allow him to be able to extend plays,
and if he gets hot, you're in You're in deep trouble.
And so a lot of respect for his body of work,
his resume over time, and you know, we got to
be ready.

Speaker 6 (04:34):
To roll job.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
John Cardi said, you guys kind of made a good
conversation about going through his first time, he's.

Speaker 7 (04:43):
His multiple cases in his career of what was a
new US year and going on on your perspective and
kind of what you.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
View of his site.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yeah, you know, I would say, you know, keep that
between us, but it's it's more about, you know, just
continuing to get to know these guys, understand, you know,
really try to instill belief with an authenticity, understand that like, hey,
let's let's apply learning lessons to all these things.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
That was kind of the nature of it.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Jordan, Do you have the confidence in that operation of
before you can still deploy the game plan?

Speaker 6 (05:14):
That you want.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
I do, Yes, Tasey Hill kind of gives the lead factory.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
From over the years.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
It's just that I mean the X factor, I mean
the versatility.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I mean, I can remember when we were in Green
Bay when I first got here and he's playing quarterback
and you know he can legitimately throw the football, but
I mean you see the competitive toughness where I mean
he can run after the catch, he can be a
lead blocker. They do a great job of utilizing his
versatile skill set that truly makes him an X factor.
And he obviously had a tremendous impact on their most

(05:46):
recent game. And he's been one of those guys that
if he gets into a rhythm and a groove, he
can be a real nightmare to defend. And they obviously have,
you know, some other really great players, and Kamara is
as good as it gets and as versatile as it gets.
So those two players are excellent, and Taysom is coming
off a really impressive performance. I think press talk last

(06:07):
week did the players talked about how.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
Just against the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Allowing to give him to the second level.

Speaker 5 (06:16):
Yea's dangerous with Tamara and Hill is for you guys
facing similar Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
I mean those guys are dangerous. They're big players waiting
to happen some of the things that occurred the other day,
you know. I mean you talk about the importance of
being able to play team defense and not allowing a
guy that's as explosive as Saquon to be able to
get to the second and third levels of the defense
unabated where he can make you miss, and then he's
got the ability to outrun those angles. Both those guys
are capable of that. Obviously, Saquon is a really special player.

(06:45):
The second one, we didn't follow a polar back, and
you know, we were in a really heavy defensive, you know,
run defense with not a lot of layers in terms
of you know, just layers and levels of the defense,
and so once he got through that second level, he
was gone. But you know, those are certainly things that
they hurt, but it's about being able to correct it
and move forward. And like I said, I've seen that

(07:06):
on display, and you'd prefer us not to have to
necessarily show that quite as consistently as we have, and
we're still hunting up consistency.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
But I do appreciate the way these guys.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Come to work and we're going to give everything that
we got and keep swinging.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
And I love the result of this group.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
We have a players grow conversy.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
You have of all, oh yeah, you know, you certainly
have those conversations and you understand, you know, it's about
being able to correct, you know, negative experiences without teaching.
I think it's where you lose morale, and so it's
really important to be able to have teaching. Let's apply it.
Kyrin is so conscientious and in a lot of instances
he is such a great competitor, and that's one of
his best traits that you're saying, okay, when you were

(07:46):
doing this, let's understand what a great job these defenses
do at attacking the football. Where are we leaving ourselves
susceptible and what can we do to try to be
able to give ourselves the best chance to get as
many yards as possible while also not you know, potentially
giving the football up. So I trust him being able
to move forward. He's always been a guy that's been
mentally tough. He's been able to respond and and I

(08:07):
think that's going to be reflected moving forward.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
Yeah, less.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
Talking about from an offensive perspective, I think there was times,
you know, I mean you look at it early on
Adam and even in some instances in.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
The New England game.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
You know, when you're really rolling offensively, you're not seeing
many third downs, you know, and you know that you've
had a good game offensively when you look up at
the stat sheet and you see about eight attempts on
third downs. What you can't do is be inefficient or
go backwards on either first or second down via penalty
or a negative yardage, because now it's really challenging, especially
when you go against an opponent like that and really

(08:49):
most of the teams that you're playing against, and so
that is important, and percentage wise, the lower the third
down window, the higher the percentage should be.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
That's obviously, as.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
You guys have asked, you know, been a a point
that you know, we've got to continue to improve upon.
But I do think there were some drives where it
was reflective of you know, we really didn't even have
to get into third downs, and then the ones that
we did, clearly we weren't good enough. The only silver
you know, the silver lining, if you will, is there
were some good conversions on fourth down. You know, you
get a third and three throw a flat route and

(09:18):
you know you're kind of in a four down territory
and so you're still extending the drive, which is ultimately
the goal at hand. But that has been an area
that is not nearly good enough. Our guys know that,
we know that, and we're working our tails off to
try to be able to get that better.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
Just doing everything we can.

Speaker 8 (09:33):
Obviously, it's you know, at a point in the season
where every game matters an extreme, you know, it's it's
extremely important. So just doing everything we possibly can as
a group, you know, to try to make sure that
we come out with the results that we want.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
On Sundays, Marcus addressed the team. They what was the
message of what if anything?

Speaker 8 (09:52):
He was a quarterback and say to him, I mean,
I'll kind of keep what he said kind of, you
know in house. Obviously, I thought what Sean said yesterday
it was great. You know, just let this be a
lesson to all of us. You know that we're lucky
that with the result that came of it, to be
honest with you, that nobody was heard or injured. I
know that d Rob's a great person. I love being
around him. Love as a teammate. You know those things

(10:13):
aren't things that he wants to do or be a
part of. So I know he'll learn from it. We all,
we all will. As far as me being a quarterback,
I'm just trying to support him, help him out any
way I can.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
Well, what are the guys just just said.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
That's not like he just twice?

Speaker 7 (10:28):
What did that mean specifically this?

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Yeah, just uh, you know, make sure you turn the page.

Speaker 8 (10:33):
Obviously, there's things that we want to correct from the
game and find ways to be better moving forward.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
But make sure that we come out with great energy.

Speaker 8 (10:39):
Today starts today, you know, go out there, have a
good practice. There's gonna be things we want to clean
up from practice. Make sure we do that and move
on day to day with the right attitude and the
right uh in the right spirit.

Speaker 7 (10:50):
Love the road games.

Speaker 5 (10:52):
Sort of running to.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Tyler and be running around excited, trying to fire everybody
up and then have to just seems like and wanting
to get back out for so long.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Happened back in christ this week?

Speaker 3 (11:05):
What you're increasing level?

Speaker 5 (11:06):
What's he been playing from the field.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Yeah, I mean I'm just happy for him.

Speaker 8 (11:11):
I mean, it's such a difficult thing to go through, injury,
especially a long term one like that. So I'm you know,
so happy for him, proud of him. I've you know,
in and out of this room, out of the training room,
walking around. You just see the work that he's put
in to to get to where he is now, to
be able to come back out there and do what
he loves. Uh, just happy for him. He's obviously a
big time player for a team, not only in what

(11:31):
he does on the field, but just the spirit that
he brings in the way he plays the game. So
you know, just just happy that he's out to be
a you know, able to be a back out there
on the grass with us. Is is a big lift.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Oh, he's very question project.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
Yeah, he loves the game. You know, he loves the game.

Speaker 8 (11:48):
He loves being a part of a a group of team.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
He's one of those guys that, uh, he love having
in the locker room.

Speaker 8 (11:54):
So uh, you know, he's around as much as he
possibly can be when he's not in there working out
or doing things for you know, his health, trying to
get back to you know, one hundred percent. So you know,
he's been a pro the entire time, which is not
surprising when you know him, but it is a great
you know example for guys that are younger or whatever
that that are going through things like that that uh,

(12:14):
you know, if you want to be like somebody through
that process, he'd be the one.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
You know what it's like to.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
The tough start.

Speaker 8 (12:21):
Yeah, I mean I think sometimes you can feel isolated.
You know, you spend so much time in there trying
to find a way to get yourself back out there
that maybe you're not in as many meetings, you're not
out on the field with the guys. There's a certain
feeling you get just being out there practicing or being
in the huddle or being part of it. So I
know that that's a feeling that's tough sometimes. But uh,
he's he's always around and doing the best he can

(12:42):
to be a part of it. Now he's you know,
back out of doing what he loves, which is great.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Played a super but that hurt wasn't I guess it
wasn't a great experience.

Speaker 6 (12:52):
What were your memories of that game?

Speaker 4 (12:54):
And does it.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
Seem like a long time don't know?

Speaker 4 (12:57):
Or yeah, it does.

Speaker 8 (12:59):
It does seem like a while I go, you know,
kind of a back and forth or had some had
a big play to to, had a couple other decent
ones get two minute Drift I remember correctly didn't play
much in the second half, but uh no, yeah, I've
I've played there quite a few times when first Start
ever was there, So played there quite a few times.
A really tough place to play, always is, and in
a great atmosphere.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
Thanksgiving you miss playing.

Speaker 8 (13:23):
Game, I do. I loved it. I loved it. I
loved knowing into the you know, going into the season
that we were going to have that game. You knew it.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
It was gonna be the early window.

Speaker 8 (13:32):
You know, it was gonna be a tough turnaround physically
and mentally to get there and be ready to go
for a twelve o'clock kick on a you know, on
a Thursday. But you had a long weekend after Thanksgiving.
You could really enjoy it if you had family in town.
I was at home, you know, eating dinner with them,
with kind of a normal Thanksgiving after the game was.

Speaker 4 (13:50):
Over, be able to have normal Thanksgiving.

Speaker 8 (13:54):
Here, not so much got to practice the next day
in a game that weekend.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
You know, it's not uh not all it used to be.
That's okay.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
When you were starting, as was John Madden Steel that.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
Uh yeah, I think he was still calling game. That'd
be a good check. Yeah, I think he was. Yeah,
I was.

Speaker 9 (14:13):
Just do you remember having meeting with them at all?

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Oh you're talking about on Thursday stuff? Yeah no, I mean.

Speaker 8 (14:20):
Callaby, You're putting me on the spot. I'd have to
think way back. But uh not, not any of that
that stick out, to be honest with you, you dun.

Speaker 4 (14:29):
Yeah, Uh, I have not. I have not had the
tur Duncan.

Speaker 8 (14:33):
But I grew up watching you know, Cowboys football and
Thanksgiving because I was a Cowboys fan being from Dallas,
so I heard quite a bit about.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
The Turr Duncan over the years.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Your personal.

Speaker 8 (14:43):
Aggressive, physical at all levels, you know, big front physical,
like to rush the passer long guys obviously you know
fifty six and twenty been doing it for a while.
Fifty six for a long time. Davis has been a
really good player for a long time. Uh, you know
in the second level. And then they've got some veterans

(15:03):
with them, mix a good young guys in the back
end as well, so talented defense. Uh, you know, physical upfront,
in your face, ready to go. So we got to
be ready to.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Go on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
What we bring into the offense.

Speaker 4 (15:16):
Obviously experience.

Speaker 8 (15:17):
You know, he's he's played in big time games in
tough environments against good players. Obviously a talented football player,
has been a really you know, good player since I've
been here in a staple, you know, really long before that.
So if he is able to get back out there,
he'd be happy to have him, you know, not only
with how he blocks and how he plays, but just
the leadership and experience he brings to the huddle as well.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
What goes into I guess I should say making sure
you don't have every compet of.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
A right game.

Speaker 5 (15:45):
Yeah, and you just look at it play by play
and correct which you can correct some of the stuff.
Some of it, you know, as coaches, we want to
see scheme wise, what we can do to put our
guys in the best position. And then some of it's
just players doing their job, you know, within the scheme
of the defense. And you know, the nice thing is
is whether it's whether it's scheme or the call or
just guys doing their job, all the stuff is correctable,
and you know, you just look to get better moving forward. Chris,

(16:07):
you were saying that last week it looks to the
outside that could be dangerous. Feel abouts the same thing
this week with Kamara. Yeah, absolutely, you know, go from
you know, a right back to another great back that's
been doing it a long time. Obviously, they'll you know,
they'll utilize him in a lot of different ways in
the past game in the screen game running the ball,
so you know, different way, how they design it, how

(16:28):
they get to him, you know, different style of the
line play. But but definitely the same threat as soon
as he breaks through the line and he's got space.
He's one of the scariest guys in the NFL, just
like we saw last week.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
You're a skilled guys throughout the Obviously they got to
be aware of whether they want to.

Speaker 5 (16:42):
Help them all the time, just fighting what makes tastes
them in terms of maybe you see, he's your indicator
of healthy wif should be used to them.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (16:51):
I mean, I don't know of anybody else in the
league that lines up as as multiple spots as he does.
Where he lines up.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
At you know, full back, tailback, where they can handle
the ball.

Speaker 5 (17:00):
You can line up at you know, true in line
tight end, you can line up an afoot ball tight end,
or you line up a receiver obviously quarterbacks, So yeah,
he is. You obviously got to know when he's on
the field, and you gotta account for him everywhere he is.
And it's been a great challenge. It feels like, you know,
I remember playing against him in the NFC title. It's
been forever now he's been doing it and they've.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
Been utilizing him.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
So he's done an excellent job. You know, I know
he had a great game two weeks ago, and you know,
we know they're going to look to feature him again.

Speaker 6 (17:25):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
As a position coach, part of an organization, if you
have a tough game, you can get a plush.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
It on as has Ay coordinat or have gone through that.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
Particular game on Sunday.

Speaker 5 (17:39):
Are you able to get.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
That out of your mind?

Speaker 5 (17:43):
It's it's definitely tough, you know, but it's part of
being in professional football, and you know at some point,
you know, you got to move on. And I think
you know, I we talked. You know when you address
the defense too, you know you you I call it,
just stick your face in the fan and get corrected
when needs to get corrected, be accountable for what you
need to do, and let's move on and whatever we
can do to uh go play well in defense this

(18:04):
week and go and get a tough road win. That's
what we got to do. But uh, you know, you
got to move on and do your routine. Just because
you know, we obviously had an unfortunate night and didn't
play to our capabilities and didn't play well at all.
You know, that doesn't mean you have to change every
single thing. You gotta correct what you need to correct.
You know, we've had there are snaps in the game
where we played good defense, and there's obviously games and

(18:25):
snaps in the past where we played the defense. We
know what it looks like. Now we just got to
do it consistently. It's a big person for the game.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
It's not a different thing where you heard up on himself.
So that account of.

Speaker 5 (18:36):
Yeah, definitely. You know he's always accountable and you know
he wants he wants to help the defense and works
so hard to uh to make plays for the defense,
and you know it's always just a young player, you know,
educating him on when those ops are to make plays
and how he does influence and impact the game even
though some at some times it may not be on
the stat sheet and things like that. So you know,
He's always going to be accountable. He always wants what's

(18:58):
best for the team. And now he's you know, keep
keep working with them, doing it within the scheming, the
structure of the defense just stops and tilt just about times.
That's games.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
There's something.

Speaker 5 (19:21):
I definitely agree with everything you're saying, and some of
that situational football, you know, some of that, especially the
other night, they were in you know, third downs a
decent amount of time and and it was a third
and favorable So there's a little bit of obviously, you
you don't want to be in that third and four
to five range. You know, the odds are obviously a
little more, uh tilted a little more against you in
those instances. But you do need to find a way

(19:43):
to get stops in those. I don't think we got
any in the in those when you got him into
those instances, and then yeah, finding a way to get stops,
finding a way to play, you know, get them off track,
get him into you know, second and longs where you
get those third lungs and you can earn the right
to rush a passer. You know, there's been games we've
done a decent job at that and uh, you know,
last our Sunday night, you know, was where they were

(20:06):
kind of on schedule and it just felt like they
were playing the game on their terms for the most part.

Speaker 9 (20:11):
Yeah, it's it's kind of the word consistency right now.

Speaker 6 (20:13):
I mean there's times where it's just it feels like
we go right down the field and put it in,
and there's other times where it just feels a little
bit harder than it should. So I think that's the
biggest key right now. I mean, it's third and third
and long for anybody's not easy. It's just been especially
hard for us as as a late and really this
whole year. But even the third manageables haven't been to
the clip that we're accustomed to, you know.

Speaker 9 (20:34):
So we got to get that fixed. We got to
get it fixed fast.

Speaker 5 (20:36):
You guys got off to it looked like a pretty
fast start.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Ball was movement that a funnel?

Speaker 6 (20:42):
Yep?

Speaker 4 (20:43):
Have you do you addressed that.

Speaker 6 (20:46):
Anything with Kyron other than you know, yeah, listen, Kyraen knows,
you know, and and we know as an offense we
talk about, you know, the ball every single Thursday. Nick
Keeley does an incredible job with it. He's conscious of it,
he knows we keep coaching and uh, he's made of
the right stuff.

Speaker 9 (21:05):
We'll help him, but he'll get it fixed.

Speaker 6 (21:06):
Anythink assistant, you've seen her his bubbles playing or any there.
There's always a story behind a fumble, you know, and
sometimes you give credit to to a defensive guy. But
if you can find one little slither that you can
coach out of these guys where there's any bit of air,
you know in the security's just not what it should be,
you do you coach it up? Because again, the ball's
is important, is anything except for points? Right, So you

(21:29):
know we know that, uh Kyron knows that. All our
guys know that, and the the balls.

Speaker 9 (21:33):
At a premium. We gotta do a better job of it.

Speaker 7 (21:35):
Like it's too hard question, you know, like a you know,
adual perspective when you're out here for people field or
like intrigue and can be okaybe a a mom of period
or a lot more live situation. What is it like
for you to through pre stap pressure recuation you with
that you and then watch it or and and hear
him really when you're on the field out here, h

(21:56):
hear him go through that and and sort of.

Speaker 6 (21:58):
Orchy street that Yeah, I mean a lot of times,
you know, it's kind of behind closed doors when we're
doing that. Him and Rag spend you know, time in
between series. I'm kind of all over the place talking
to whoever I got to talk to. But usually that
happens behind closed doors, and then for us, we just
get to watch it in you know, in real real time,
whether it be practice for the game. And he's pretty
specially when it comes all that prestap stuff. Again, He's

(22:20):
done it for a long time. He takes a lot
of pride in the pre snap operation in terms of
just handling us, handling our protections, you know, getting his
coverage reads and stuff like that.

Speaker 9 (22:29):
So it's pretty special to watch him.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Second part of my questions, you're up in the group
and you're having on top too, and you see that
he's you've seen something and adjusted and you see that
he's about to be right. I guess what is that
reaction for you or what does that feeling for you?

Speaker 9 (22:47):
Yeah, it's awesome. I mean, I'm again, I'm in the
bird's eye.

Speaker 6 (22:49):
I get to all twenty two, so I get to
tell him, I get I saw it before him, you know,
but no, no kidding, I did you know, I'm way
up there, and half of that's probably a lie, you know,
because he does he sees it so fast. So you know,
again it's just you don't take for granted. Uh, every
minute that you get with a guy like Matthew Stafford,
you know, and I hope he wants to go until
the wheels totally fall off, because it's.

Speaker 9 (23:10):
Not even close yet.

Speaker 6 (23:11):
You know, he's got so much good football uh in
front of him if if that's what he wants to do,
so uh, just a pleasure working with him every day.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
That you learned the moose from what about that guy?

Speaker 3 (23:20):
It's just so high up on the change.

Speaker 6 (23:24):
Yeah, Uh, what you learn is that not every quarterback
is gonna be cut like that. I mean sometimes it's
one of those things of you know, you're you're you're
spoiled with with all the knowledge that he has and
and how simple he's able to make it.

Speaker 9 (23:36):
You know, it might not be simple.

Speaker 6 (23:37):
On Wednesday when he first gets in, he's you know,
sitting there talking to the sky trying to memorize the
plan in in in the calls because he wants to
be so fluid on a.

Speaker 9 (23:45):
Wednesday, let alone a Sunday.

Speaker 6 (23:47):
Uh, but uh, you know, it's just that it's uh,
it's just neat to watch you.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Works with Jamie sign Riste the carol that he really
didn't come a lot of experiences about the quarterback.

Speaker 5 (24:00):
You take advantage of the reps.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
So he's getting your purpose and starting.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
Thing that stands out how he's made is better.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Yeah, he's a pro.

Speaker 6 (24:07):
I mean he's Uh. Obviously, I've had a pretty long
history with Jimmy. I have a ton of respect for
Jimmy as a person and as a player, even more
so now since he's been in this role. He's attacked
this role just like a starter. But he's also been
awesome for Matthew, you know, as a supporter, because that's
a big time role as a backup quarterback, being there
for your guy. And he's as big of a Matthew

(24:29):
Stafford fan as anyone else. So, uh, it's it's been good.
He's he's grown. I think he's really enjoyed the experience. Obviously,
he's a competitor. He wants to play. Uh, that's what
you want from your backup quarterbacks or your third quarterback.
And then at the same time he's able to give
that defense a really good look because that's starter quality,
uh that these guys have to go up against Wednesday

(24:49):
through Friday.

Speaker 9 (24:50):
So he's working.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
Love Jimmy, he's just someone the prose be mad.

Speaker 6 (24:54):
Yeah, I mean he's he's a talent as a thrower
as I mean, you know, as there is out there,
and it's always been that way.

Speaker 9 (25:01):
The ball just comes out the way you want it
to come out.

Speaker 6 (25:03):
It's it's pretty fun watching those guys in routes on
air because you just don't get that everywhere else.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
And the film what jumps out all these States teams.

Speaker 6 (25:12):
Yeah, well they're they're playing at a really high clip
these last few weeks. I've always had a lot of respect.
I get it it you know, didn't work out for
one reason or another in terms of Dennis, but again
I have a ton of respect for him as a
coach and a player. Joe has gone in there and
put his own little spin on it. Within the foundation,
these guys are playing hard. They're playing hard for riz
and you know they're not out of it, and you're

(25:33):
not out of it in this league until it's just
all said and done, and they're not out of it
at all.

Speaker 9 (25:38):
They're playing that way. It's gonna be a great test
for us when we get to that place. It's always
a hard place to play.

Speaker 6 (25:45):
Hipy back to practice energy just it puts a smile
on your face. He's one of those guys that he's
There's a lot of guys like it, but especially him
in terms of why you like the coach and why
you love coming to work. To help guys like him
or him open you and you know, enjoy your day
a little bit better and understanding that you know what
we do.

Speaker 9 (26:04):
Is pretty dang lucky.

Speaker 6 (26:07):
So he just brings He just has such a great
vibe and energy about him that he'd fun for him.
But man, does he make everyone else a better player too,
just with his presence.
