Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's twenty five degrees in Jacksonville, seven in Bolton, five
in kill Kenny. And if you're wondering at our solo
listener in Romania, is cold there?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
It's cold there, mate, It's zero degrees. This is teal talk.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
I'm Jay Lawrence, no relation, He's Key Ramsa And and this
is the official Jacksonville Jaguars Podcast for the UK and Ireland,
presented by Gallagher, Jaggs Win JAG's win jaq win.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
What those two words together feel strange, doesn't.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
It, Jake is It is a beautiful, beautiful sentence, isn't it.
I'm not gonna lie to your key. It wasn't the
most glamorous of games in the world. Was it a
ten to six victory? But it's still a victory.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Did the Titans play well? No? Ore the Titans a
good team?
Speaker 4 (00:51):
No?
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Do I care?
Speaker 2 (00:52):
No?
Speaker 1 (00:53):
All right, we could talk about that in a second,
but it is a big teal talk today.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
We do need to mention it.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
It's been a difficult seas, but there's been a shining
light somebody that we have spoken about essentially every single week.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Haven't we key to the point where I'm thinking, are we?
Speaker 1 (01:07):
Are we a little bit of a broken record, but
there's a reason why we're mentioning him and he is
on the podcast today. Brian Brian Thomas Junior joins us
on this episode, very very exciting, one of key only
eight players in the NFL with eight hundred plus yards
and six plus touchdowns having a fantastic season.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
The other ones.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
If you're wondering the likes of Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase,
Terry McLaurin, Drake London, Amon Rah, Saint Brown, these are
you know, these are big players. What a list to
be on exactly what a rookie season and he's on
Seal Talk. The highlight of his season is today UK
Jack's fan Sarah as well as asking us the big question,
(01:52):
very relevant big question this week, I think key as well.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Let's talk about that win.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
We'll just do it really quick, clicheall we because you
know it's already been a few days. We've already been
basking in the glory of that ten six victory against
the Tennessee Titans. A win is a win, and do
you know what it's getting towards the end of the season.
We know the Jaguars and they're not going to get
into the postseason, but you've just got to enjoy it.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Two things.
Speaker 5 (02:14):
Any win is fantastic, but specifically a division rival in
the Titans is even better. I don't care about ten
six at all. I care about beating that team, and
I care about this team feeling good and at the
end of the game the reaction on the sidelines from
those players. Doug Peterson, head coach, in his press are
(02:36):
at the end cracking a joke.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
I haven't seen that for Yeah, what's that?
Speaker 3 (02:40):
A season and a half?
Speaker 5 (02:41):
Absolutely fantastic to see, man Like, Yeah, everyone lit up
and it's beautiful.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Love it.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
There's a couple of weird things actually as well that
have happened this season in a way because obviously it's
not been the best season in the world, but there
are a couple records that could be due to get
broken over the next couple weeks. Got to mention Josh
Haines Allen three and a half acts away from the
Jaguars all time record. And also we've got Brian Thomas Jr.
And our mate Brian who's going to be on very shortly.
(03:08):
We will speak about this, but he's not far from
a record of his own. A rookie receiving record, So
weird how it's all panned out in a way.
Speaker 5 (03:15):
Yeah, it's been a really interesting season because there has
been a lot to celebrate, maybe more individual solo achievements
rather than team achievements. And there's been a lot of
down us about the team's performance. But actually a lot
of the players have performed well on a personal level,
(03:36):
don't you think.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Yeah, we don't need to get into it. I feel
like we've done this so many times. You look at
it on paper, blah blah blah blah blah, should be better,
blah blah blah blah blah.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
You know what I mean. I feel like end of podcasts.
End of podcasts.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
I mean that is essentially That's essentially all it is
this podcast. Isn't it really me and you? Blah blah blah.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Let's bask it to it. Let's enjoy it.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
But let's not forget this isn't the end of the season,
and there's going to be another game this weekend against
the New York Jets. Of course we'll get to that
later on in this podcast, but let's get straight to it.
He's been texting us all day saying, can't wait, it's
a highlight of my season. Let's hear the one and
only Brian Thomas Jr. Okay, can I welcome to till Talk.
(04:17):
Rookie wide receiver sensation for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Brian Thomas Junior.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Brian, thanks so much for joining us today. How you doing?
Speaker 4 (04:24):
I'm pretty good.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
How are you good?
Speaker 1 (04:26):
I mean, look, we're getting towards the tail end of
the season, aren't we. Now your rookie season, your debut
season in the NFL. If you had to describe it
to me, how would you describe it?
Speaker 4 (04:35):
Long?
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Long college season would have ended by now?
Speaker 6 (04:40):
Right? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Not if you're good to be fair.
Speaker 7 (04:44):
If you're good, well, just with like everything OTAs and
all that, all the build up just has been a
long year.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
But I mean the season has been going great. Well
we haven't.
Speaker 7 (04:53):
We haven't had no season that we wanted, but just
being able to get out there and be playing with
the guy just great for me. I mean it's been
it's been going good though, Just been standing state, focused
to put my best foot for each and every day.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
I mean, you must have been like sort of dreaming
of this season for you know, your whole life. I
suppose you know, can you remember like that first game
that you stepped out onto an NFL field for the Jaguars,
How are you feeling like ahead of that with their nerves,
excitement both?
Speaker 7 (05:21):
It was actually the preseason game for me, I was
I was a little bit nervous, but just once I
got out there, I was able to get up with
the nerves and just go out there and play.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
And be me and be and you. Has been pretty
decent this year. I mean, let's be fair, we're all
friends here. It's been pretty good so far. You're so
close to that Jaggs rookie you know, receiving record that's
you know, yards and receptions. Is this something that you
even had had an eye on before this season? Is
this a surprise that you even close to it right now?
Speaker 7 (05:49):
This is not Actually I didn't even know what it
was coming into the season, But as I've gotten closer
to I became more aware of what it is and
just trying to accomplish that.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
That's I really want to do.
Speaker 5 (06:01):
On Sunday, So you added eighty plus yards to your
season total on Sunday, But in the first half you
hardly You had a couple of targets. I think, dude,
how do you stay focused and ready for the second
half that you had, which was superb when you've had
a tricky first half like that?
Speaker 3 (06:20):
How do you stay focused.
Speaker 7 (06:21):
Keep faith God, and keep faith in your team that
is gonna come, that is gonna pop. I mean, we
had got some looks that we weren't expecting. Really some
of the players. Towards the end of the game, we
got the looks that we wanted. We were able to
I was able to get open or make a play.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Have you had any any like text from mates or
anything saying, like, you know, offensive rookie of the year,
you should be the offensive rookie of the year?
Speaker 7 (06:43):
Nah?
Speaker 4 (06:44):
Not really. I mean you see it on the internet
or whatever, but nah, not really.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
Do you like listen to that at all. You're just
trying to, you know, push it aside now.
Speaker 7 (06:52):
I really just try to push it to the side
right now and just try to finish out, finish out
the season, and stay focused on the task here.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Well, we spoke about college second go, but I want
to speak about l SU for a second right because
for LSU over the last few years, I mean, there's
a reason why, you know, some people call it you know,
wide receiver, you do you know what I mean? It's
been absolutely like, you know, we just need to look
at Justin Jefferson, you know, Jamar Chase, even Thelak neighbors
of course that you'll know well, you know, for you
coming into the NFL, were you, you know, reaching out
(07:21):
to all of these players that went to LSU the
worst successful?
Speaker 2 (07:25):
Was there a lot of pressure on you because of that?
Speaker 4 (07:27):
I haven't reached out to any I haven't. I didn't
reach out to any of them.
Speaker 7 (07:31):
I didn't feel like there was any pressures coming into
the league. I just felt like I just got to
go up and goad in the league and do what
I know I can do, do what I do best,
and just let everything work out on his own. And
that was that was my mentality, and just going out
there working hard and being the best that I can be.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Nice.
Speaker 5 (07:46):
And in terms of coming over to the UK, when
you get drafted by the Jaguars, is there part of
you that's thinking, oh, no, I get to go and
play in London? Does that enter your your your realm
of thinking at all?
Speaker 7 (08:00):
It did because someone someone mentioned it to me that
we would be playing in London. It was great for
me because I never had been out the country and
just going to London it was it was a great
trip for me.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Talk to us about some of your best bets from
the trip.
Speaker 7 (08:14):
Just going out shopping, being around a bunch of teammates,
we were able to bond a lot more. I would
say that was that was really the biggest part, just
bonding with teammates, being able to be around them and
getting close with them.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
And what did you think of Wembley?
Speaker 4 (08:25):
It was nice. I liked it. It was super nice.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Yeah, It's always an amazing thing for the Jaguars to
come to London, you know, every single year have that
that Wembley game as well. Did you have any thoughts
about like what the crowd would be like, were you
like impressed, were you surprised? Nah?
Speaker 4 (08:42):
I was so it was it was a very pack crowd.
Speaker 7 (08:44):
And the thing that kind of stood out to me
was like some things that like you get hype out
in the US, like big catches and stuff sometimes, so
like over there it was like kicks field goals and
stuff that.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
We love kicking, man, we love it.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
That was like the biggest different from me.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
I mean, you know, Cam little was a rock star
out here. That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
What were you shopping for?
Speaker 5 (09:11):
Because we met in the summer and I complimented you on.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Your jewelry game. Were you out shopping for jewelry while
you were in London?
Speaker 7 (09:18):
No, I actually didn't get any jury. I just got
some clothes and like little stuff like that. I didn't
get injury when I was out there.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Donald Savage said to me that his jewelry game was
better than yours.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
I don't know. I don't know about that one.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Okay, upgrade we're getting towards obviously the end of the
season right now. You know, once on your mind when
it comes to being on the field, no chance that
Jacks get to the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
You know, what's your name?
Speaker 7 (09:43):
Just going out there with my best foot forward and
just finishing out to season strong, being the best version
of myself that I can be, trying to help my
team finish with a couple more dogs.
Speaker 4 (09:54):
That's my focus for the rest of the season.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
And that rookie title, that rookie receiving record surely man. Yeah, Brian,
thank you so much for joining till Talk today.
Speaker 4 (10:04):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
He's already blown on my phone He's already texted me
saying that was a highlight of his of his season.
He's a nice man and do you know what's really
good about that? As well as you And I'm not
going to say this to him because I want to
try and see him cool, but you are talking to
somebody who is likely going to be one of the
faces of the Jacksonville Jaguars for years years to come.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
You know.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
I think that the only reason that he is not
getting spoken about, maybe as one of the top top
wide receivers is just purely maybe because of the season
that the Jacks have had, you know, so far. But
he will be spoken about as one of the best
wide receivers in the NFL for for years, so you know.
And to think this was his highlight that lovely.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
How lovely of him to say that.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
He definitely it reminds me of Jamar Chase at the
Bengals and that ascendancy Jamar Chase has had. It's a
it's a similar it's a similar.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Tra yeah, exactly.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
Yeah, dude.
Speaker 5 (11:06):
I was so impressed with myself for not because I'm
so in love with Brian. I was so impressed with
myself for not being.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Like Hi, Brian.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Oh Man.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Yeah, but as I say, that's the thing is that
you know you're speaking just to to probably the most
successful Jacksonville Jaguar this year.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
So yeah, good guy, good guy.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
Really good.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
You know this is what the second time you met
him as well, because you said you met him earlier
on in the preseason, didn't you.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
Yeah, we did.
Speaker 5 (11:37):
We met him during training camp and had a lovely
chat with him then. And do you know what, it's
been so nice having had that chat with him in
the summer to see him do well this season because
we all had a feeling, like watching him at training camp,
we all had a feeling.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
We spoke about it, we spoke about really.
Speaker 5 (11:53):
Early and often we spoke about it, and to see
it come into fruition has been absolutely fantastic, man, really pleasing.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Absolutely Now. Earlier on the season, do you remember we
actually gave away as signed Jaguar's rookie poster. Do you
remember this?
Speaker 3 (12:12):
I do remember it very well. Yes.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
So just to like, you know, pull back the curtain
a little bit. Just had a message from Sarah from
the Jaguars. He said, I think I've got another one.
In fact, those you didn't say that.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
It's not what she said.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
What did she say? She said, I've got a crumpled one.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
She said, I've got a crumpled one.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
I've got a couple of one. It's in my car.
Speaker 5 (12:36):
The reason it's crumpled is because Will Levis was wearing
it under his jersey when Josh Allen hit him at
the weekend.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Absolutely absolutely not because you had it in your your
suitcase on the way back from Jacksonville in the summer.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
But the good news is we do have one.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
It is crumpled, which means it's it's got more personality, exactly,
it's got more personality. So that includes the likes of
Brian Thomas Jr. Another another key ramson In favorite, Cam
Little Is on their side, Jordan Jefferson, Mason Smith, Jarry
and Jones, who's been a highlight thing of the past
few games especially.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Yeah, it's been, it's been. It's been decent. You know,
a lot of Jags starters and future stars there. And
we've got to give it away. But we've got to
give it away because I'd feel guilty if we just had.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
We're doing that, Joe.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
I think that if you would like this crumpled signed
Jacksonville Jaguars poster if you like. If you want to
win it, get over to the Jaguars UK and Ireland
YouTube channel, click subscribe and comment on this video.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
What are they going to comment?
Speaker 5 (13:44):
Well, last time we gave one away, I came up
with an amazing phrase which was put me in the
frame right, which makes total sense, and everyone got it
and understood why I any explanation whatsoever. So I'm going
to suggest that this time, instead of put me in
the frame, it keep me in the frame.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Keep me in the frame.
Speaker 5 (14:03):
Okay, So he doesn't need explaining.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Let's move So.
Speaker 1 (14:08):

or I tell you what you can do as well.

there or leave a comment and say keep me in
the frame, and you could win the crumpled and lots
of personality. Oh, I just feel like, do you know
what I We'll see it afterwards and it looks great,
looks great.
Speaker 5 (14:31):
Lumbo's mackin Tom gives it character all.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Right, Let's move on to Duval Dispatches shall we Key, Oh,
I just remember what this is. I just remembered this
is this is pun time. What a what a punny
time we're going to have?
Speaker 2 (14:47):
All right?
Speaker 4 (14:47):
Then?
Speaker 2 (14:48):
I feel like we need some Christmas music.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Okay, it's Duval Dispatches with me slay Lawrence.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
And him Ramsaw run, Rudolph run?
Speaker 3 (15:03):

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Do you know what? Producers Simon has written a joke
for us as well. Who go? I purposely not read
this before.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
By the way, Key, how did Jaguars eat their Christmas dinner?
Speaker 3 (15:35):
I don't know. How do Jaguars eat their Christmas dinner.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
With their center pause?
Speaker 6 (15:41):
What?
Speaker 4 (15:45):
Really? Really?
Speaker 2 (15:46):
I might stop the recording right.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
Away to himself be.
Speaker 2 (15:54):

legit and the way we're selling them is not.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
What are we doing?
Speaker 2 (16:59):
We need to do about We need to do a
bit of job. Do that right now, Do it right now.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
That's my that's my that's how good a job I'm
doing it. If you're watching this on YouTube, you can
see me pointing right down the camera. Okay, let's move
on swiftly, and surely you are listening to the podcast
right now. You either listen to it or you're watching
it on YouTube. But we also have a show, don't
we on sky Sports NFL. Reese Parkinson's the host. What's
(17:25):
going on this time around?
Speaker 3 (17:27):
Do you know what?
Speaker 5 (17:28):
This week's is really nice? But victory show is fantastic,
only third one we've done this season, so it felt
really good making it. This week highlight for me is
Reese sitting down with Tyson Campbell and Tyson Campbell we've
had him on the podcast. Absolutely lovely man, lovely energy,
(17:49):
so chill. It's really interesting, so I really enjoy that
segment and then all the usual stuff recent JP breaking
down the highlights of the game, and then Tony previewing
the Jets game. After that good show this week where
and when sky Sports at NFL Wednesday night nine pm.
(18:11):
Repeats throughout the week on sky Sports NFL, and then
all of the stuff will be on the Jaguars UK
YouTube channel as per usual.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
You know, we should have spoken to Brian Thomas Junior
a little bit about the Pro Bowl. Actually, I feel
like he's one of one jag that I think that
people will be voting for, you know, a lot of
Jaguars fans, I think it would be the go Do
you think it'd be the go to person that people
would be voting for?
Speaker 5 (18:32):
I reckon, so so I reckon Top three would be
Brian Thomas Junior, Trayvon Walker, and Cam Little this season
probably would be getting the most votes.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
What do you think?
Speaker 2 (18:44):
No, I completely agree.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
I think that's probably That's a good shout to be
honest with you, And if you would like to vote
for any of those players or a different player, it's
up to you. Votings live on Jaguars dot com for
the Pro Bowl. Vote for your favorite Jag that's at
Jaguars dot com.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Okay, time for the big question.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Let's welcome Jags fan Sarah Night. Sarah, what is your
big question?
Speaker 6 (19:12):
Okay, with Christmas fast approaching, I want to know if
you could pick any Jags player to come along to
your Christmas dinner or your Christmas party? Who are you
pecking and why are you pecking them?
Speaker 2 (19:24):
Okay, good question and honestly one that I'd never thought
about before. I'm going, Hey, you gotta go first. Okay.
Speaker 5 (19:31):
I think my mom would get on really well with
Donelle Savage, So I.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
Think did the jewelry because of the jewelry.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
It's because of the jewelry.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
She is a big, big Diamonte fan. So I think
that do you know what, Donal Savage is actually a
really cool guy. So Donald Savage will be up there,
Brian Thomas Jr.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
Would be up there. Trayvon Walker I.
Speaker 5 (19:55):
Would love to have because I could just listen to
him all day. Josh heinz Allen think would be great,
or that you're.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
Taking every single player. This is what you're doing, every
off the roster.
Speaker 5 (20:07):
This podcast is going to be very long today. Cut
to me just going at most of them. Please, Sarah, Thank.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
You, Sarah. Who would you beg Well?
Speaker 6 (20:15):
I mean I would picture Von Walker also because I'd
love to listen to him. Just speak to me and
read me a story, can literally read the phone book
wherever he wants to do.
Speaker 5 (20:23):
I'm saying up for.
Speaker 6 (20:24):
But also when he was on the pod and he
was talking about chicken wings, what why do we not
have chicken wings at Christmas dinner? I know we're back
on pigs and blankets, but like let's bring them into
it too, Like I can get on board with us.
Speaker 5 (20:37):
So chicken wings, that's a really good, big question. Why
do we not have chicken wings at Christmas dinner?
Speaker 4 (20:44):
Why not?
Speaker 1 (20:45):
I've got two answers, and I just remembered one. One
answer actually is very relevant to what you were saying,
because we had Anton Harrison on the other week, didn't we,
And he was talking about how he was making mac
and cheese for Thanksgiving because his mum doesn't make a
very good one, on which I mean, we learned a
lot of this podcast. And first of all, if we
(21:06):
have it. First of all, if I invite him out
for Christmas dinner, sounds like you do a good one
because he can do it, and then I don't need
to worry. If I was for a Christmas party, I
would invite Josh.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
Heines ammon. And this is the reason why he's a
massive man.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
And I think that a lot of people would, especially
if they didn't know who he was. They'd be like, Jay,
you're inn at best average size human. How did you
make friends with this absolute mammoth of a humid being?
How did you two become friends? I just think of
that be a yeah, And I wouldn't tell them the truth.
I wouldn't tell them the truth. I'd make up something
(21:41):
cool because he is a big man. I've just realized
about myself. I'm very impressed with.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
The size of people. I suppose. Why am I going
I don't understand where I'm going with this because somebody
interrupt me.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
Jay please stop?
Speaker 2 (21:55):
Yeah, okay, you carry on, Sarah.
Speaker 5 (21:59):
Travor Walker, I think is a fantastic answer. Here's a
question for you, right because as soon as you say
Trayvon Walker, I think he's one of the best performing
players from this.
Speaker 3 (22:09):
Season so far.
Speaker 5 (22:10):
Who else would you put in that list of people
that you think this season I've had absolute blinders.
Speaker 6 (22:16):
I think Brian Thomas Sheener is right up there. I
think he Yeah. I just think it's such a standout
performance and everyone's sort of like, oh my goodness. And
I mean I will say Trevor as well, because I
don't I think he had he was performing so so well,
and it's just so incredible and lucky that the cards
have fallen how they've fallen. I think Josh Hann's Allen's
(22:39):
also had incredible I'm lictually just reading listing our people again.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
I think it's my Christmas body.
Speaker 6 (22:45):
Yeah, you're Christmas Like, we're ready to go, like Santa.
That would just make that happen, please, And I think
Tank Vix's also had a great season again obviously been
in and out as well with kind of injuries and such.
But yeah, I actually I think we've been playing better
than what what this like this the scoreboard says.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
I completely agree.
Speaker 5 (23:07):
What would your hope be then for the rest of
the games for this season? Playoffs out of the question,
So what what would you hope as a fan we
can achieve this season?
Speaker 4 (23:16):
Now?
Speaker 6 (23:16):
I guess just to continue to kind of to prove
that we are we are better than what our record
is showing for us. I just want everyone to sort
of remain healthy, because that's how then you go winto
off season and that's how you go into training camp.
Is just continuing to be the level they are at
and just could have not made not make any kind
of silly decisions, I guess for the sake of of
(23:39):
a when if it's not necessary very much.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Just to go back to my answers earlier, please, my
answer would be Trevor Lawrence because I could just say,
as my cousin people would be like, finally, finally, finally,
you guys Careen.
Speaker 6 (24:01):
Also, I would have Trevor, but only saw that he
could evade as extended family. Yes, because yeah, I did.
I follow his way from Instagram. Oh really, yes, I'd
be like, yep, come over, just just come hang out.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
Yeah, I mean I mentioned this, just mentioned this isn't
a couple weeks ago, okay that you know. I was
listening to to to Tony Boselli Unhappy Hour and he
was saying, how you know, players don't really think of
it as going into the off season, or he doesn't,
and you know from his experience anyway, going into the
off season, but you get those couple of wins at
the end of the season, so it sort of you know,
(24:38):
hurks you up almost and keeps thee the optimism through
the off season because there's such a personnel change a
lot of the time in the NFL, it doesn't quite
work that way. We had this chat in WEIKI, and
it might not work that way for players, but I
definitely believe it works that way for fans.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Do you agree, Sarah?
Speaker 6 (24:56):
Yeah, I think so. I think it's more that's more
of a fan culture and the wanting for that kind
of momentum to keep on going and to see the
kind of output get continued to make.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
A difference for you.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Do you think going into this offseason, you know, you know,
one win under the belt. Let's say Jags went out
just you know, putting it out there, would that make
a difference for you as a fan going into next season.
Speaker 4 (25:19):
I don't really think so.
Speaker 6 (25:21):
I think I I think I'm just quite I'm maybe
a bit more of a realist a realist. So I
guess for me, it's just more that I just want
them to carry on what they've done and if it
means it's a when if it's a win, then great,
and if it's a loss, it's a loss, rather than
bawling out for no game.
Speaker 5 (25:39):
I guess at the end of the game on Sunday,
I thought I'm the opposite of you, Sarah. I thought
the Jags could still make the Super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
Fair Okay, I'm really sorry to break the no. Don't
do it, Jay, Sarah, thank you so much for joining
us until talk. Look, you know we said, we we
mentioned and the you know, the fact that there are
obviously games upcoming. You can't get away from it. You
need to give us a prediction. What do you think
(26:10):
the score is going to be in the next game? Jacksonville,
Jagar was New York Jets.
Speaker 6 (26:16):
Oh, I think all maybe I'm trying to colle I
think it'll be like I've might think it maybe fourteen ten.
To be honest, I don't think it'll be a big
scoring sure, sure, I am just called the subject. Yes
(26:37):
fourteen ten to the Jags winning. Yeah, I think it. Well,
don't think it will be the most exciting games. It's
not going to be some of the games that were
this weekend.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
Let's just see, you.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
Know, Jacks aside, Tennessee Titans last game, New York Jets,
this the next game. You're not playing the most exciting
teams in the world, I suppose. So I think that's
fair to say, thank you so much.
Speaker 6 (26:58):
There.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
I'm sure to you soon.
Speaker 4 (27:01):
Perfect.
Speaker 6 (27:01):
Yeah, can't wait. Thanks for having me back on all right.
Speaker 2 (27:05):
Cheers to Sarah for that.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
By the way, if you would like to be featured
as our fan of the week, get in touch via
the media dropdown on Jaguars dot co dot uk and
we will add you to the list. Sarah Kee predicted
fourteen ten. Did you say yes to maybe?
Speaker 2 (27:24):
Sure? Why not? So let's go into our predictions. Let's
talk a bit about the game.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Actually, we'll do that first, we'll talk a bit about
the next the next game, which is going to be
against the New York Jets as well, which is, let's
be honest, it's another struggling team, a team that over
the past couple off seasons have maybe had more hype
than any team over the last hour of many years.
Also at three and ten, they also have a lot
(27:53):
of talent on both sides of the ball. They also
have not been able to bring it together. I think
the only difference is that the Jets probably saw themselves
as you know, Aaron Rodgers is here, we need to
win now because he's, you know, only going to be
here for a certain amount of time. Great weapons on offense,
you know in theory, you know, great defense, but it
(28:15):
hasn't worked necessarily throughout this this this this this whole season.
I'm not sure the injury status of Source Gardener. He
was e didn't played the last game. Neither did Britet
Hall as well. You know, what's the what's the situation
for you? Do you think in this game? What's what
do you think that the Jags need to look at
in order to get the victory.
Speaker 5 (28:37):
I think the Jags need to one of the biggest
things for me this past Sunday against the Titans was
the post game reactions to it all. Biggest thing for
me going into this Sunday against the Jets is maintaining
that energy talent the Jaguars can beat the Jets. It's
(29:02):
a similar story with the Jets. Right as you've been
saying they would have been expecting to have a better season,
It's a similar story to what's happening with the Jags.
If the Jags, I think, can maintain that confidence, maintain
that energy from last week against the Titans going into
this matchup, I think the Jags have it.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
Dude.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
I think what's really difficult about this matchup actually more
more so than the Titans, I think that this is
a team again. I feel like, you know, every NFL
commentator over the past how many weeks has been saying
this about the New York Jets, though, is that you
just feel like the Jets could just go off on you,
but it just equally they might just lay an absolute egg.
(29:42):
And that happened yearly. They nearly beat the Dolphins nearly
in that last game. But the Jets did what with
what people have been, you know, so used to doing Hey.
Speaker 5 (29:50):
Credit to the Dolphins man coming back in that game.
But yeah, here's here's the thing, Jay, like, if yes,
the Jets could absolutely go off. And what was I
saying last week about the pass rush and about the
run defense and who stepped up this week against the Titans.
It was those defense events. I am absolutely convinced that
(30:13):
all of those players are listening to this podcast and
hearing what we're saying and react to it. Because they
stepped up in a big way against the Titans. Let's
see if they can do it again on Sunday.
Speaker 4 (30:23):
I hope.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
Well, last week you said Mac Jones, don't throw any interceptions,
just don't do it. Just don't do it, mate, And
he threw a couple. Do you have any I mean
the victory, it was a victory. Nonetheless, do you have
any advice for Mac Jones this week?
Speaker 5 (30:34):
I'm gonna repeat what I've said he Mac Mac Mac Mate.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
Don't throw any interceptions.
Speaker 6 (30:41):
Mate.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Yeah, I still think this will be a tough game.
I do wonder, Actually, this is this goes back to
maybe what you're saying.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
I do wonder.
Speaker 1 (30:48):
It's two teams that don't have anything to play for.
In regards to you, know, the super Bowl, you know,
or the playoffs. It's it's really a matter of well,
who's gonna who's going to show up when in theory,
in theory, it doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
Does that make sense?
Speaker 5 (31:09):
Yeah, I mean I can't speak. I'm not a player,
never have been a player, ever will be a player.
But Tony Tony Biselli always says, from the player's point
of view, yes, the super Bowl isn't a playoffs are
not available, et cetera, et cetera, But there is still
so much to play for because it's about their legacy,
what they're putting down on tape. It's again it's it's
(31:31):
too dangerous not to give it one hundred percent, but
it's what do you want to be remembered for? And
another thing, JP always says, they're not going to stop playing.
Speaker 3 (31:41):
They're not going to.
Speaker 5 (31:44):
Number one, of course, because they don't want to get
replaced by a number one draft pick.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
A stupid thing anyway, really, But speaking of tanking, good
to see Tank on the on the score sheet.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
Well a segue, that's one of my best.
Speaker 5 (32:02):
That is exceptional work. You should be in broadcast.
Speaker 2 (32:07):
Tank.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Let's get Travis, Let's get let's get Tank. Going, let's
get the wrong game properly going. We know that those
two are good players. Let's see it on paper, Let's
see it against the Jets run defense.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
We want to see it. We want to see a
Jags win. We want to see your prediction.
Speaker 5 (32:21):
Key mac Jones connecting with Brian Thomas Junior in that
second half, I thought, fantastic. There's obviously something there, so
let's have more of that as well. As for my prediction,
I feel I feel super confident. I think the Jets
are really struggling, and I think the Jags could be
in an ascendency right now.
Speaker 3 (32:41):
I'm going to go twenty one ten Jags.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
Twenty one ten Jags. So we've got twenty one ten
we've got, and I'm going.
Speaker 5 (32:50):
To go all touchdowns. Three touchdowns for the Jags, two
on the ground, one in the air.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
There you go, one of them going to head it
in one freaking I think we're going to go a.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
Triple a triple ten pointer for the Jets here, because
I think that that's a good number at the moment.
I believe, and I'm going to do that thing that
you do on what's that game? Did I mention it
last week? Yeah, well, I what's a price is right,
That's what it is? What a reference? I love nineteen
ninety nine. I'm going to say, so we've had a
(33:24):
fourteen ten, twenty one ten?
Speaker 3 (33:26):
Yeah, yeah, m.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
M okay, hmm oh edge, missy mate, I'm going to
say this is I'm going to go with fourteen thirteen victory.
Oh yeah, the Jets. No, the Jags. I meant the Jags.
Why did I say they both begin with Jay? I
genuinely meant the Jags. Idian I just went with the
(33:55):
first team I thought of Initially they began with a Jay.
We're not editing this out. I want the people to
know jankuers win fourteen thirteen. I like it the standing
so far. By the way, our key is on three, guest,
are you the fan is on five? I'm on six,
And remember it was decided that whoever wins gets to
(34:18):
take something from the loser's you know, man cave. I'll
be honest, I wish I had a man cave, but
you know, essentially a man cave. You know, so key,
I'm sure I don't have it with me. Actually, at
the moment has his eye on my Jag shield. I'm
sure maybe you even want my two lane jersey. You're
not bothered about my two lane jersey.
Speaker 5 (34:38):
Not bothered about your two lane jersey. I'm also not
bothered about your jag shield. I just don't want to
give my stuff away.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
Well, I had my eye on your Trevor for green
or actually I think you've got Can I see it?
Speaker 2 (34:49):
If you're watching on YouTube? Can we see your background
right now?
Speaker 1 (34:51):
Yeah, you can see on So if you're not watching
on YouTube, you can watch it and you can see
that you've got a couple of pillows, I think in
the background, jagged pillows.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
You've got a.
Speaker 5 (35:00):
I've got a trip bespoke artwork Trevor Lawrence artwork which
makes it look like is out of Miami Vice.
Speaker 3 (35:08):
Yeah, it's incredible.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
Yeah, and then you have another one behind you as well.
Speaker 5 (35:11):
I've got and so on this side here that's a
triptick of it's three So it's three framed with Trevor Lawrence,
Tony Biselli and Josh Eines Allen all in action. And
then yeah, on this one also bespoke is Trevor Lawrence
with Stadium of the future.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
There we go, and I've got my eye on that one.
That one looks pretty good to me.
Speaker 1 (35:37):
You realized that what you just did there was I
essentially said, sell me, sell me the stuff right into it,
tell me your favorite, Tell me which one that you'd
missed the most. Anyway, I feel confident going into the
next few weeks that I'm going to get my hands
on one of those.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
Keith. Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
Thanks mate, I'll see you next week talking about Jacks Win.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
Yes, confidence all right.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
Tilt Talk, in partnership with Gallagher, has been a shooting
Shark production for Jacksonville, Jaguars UK and Ireland.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Go subscribe on YouTube. Go subscribe where you get your podcasts.
We'll see you next week.
