Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's nineteen degrees in Jacksonville, ten in Plymouth, seven in Sunderland.
Did you know it's a forty four percent chance for
white Christmas in Aberdeen? This is Seal Talk, the official Jacksonville,
Jaguars UK and Ireland podcast, presented by Gallagher.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
I'm Jay Lawrence, no relation, He's.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Kiram Souillo and we are joined in this episode by
Reese Parkinson, hosts of Jaguars UK Weekly on Sky Sports.
A bit of a different podcasts actually, this time around
Festive edition as we talk all things jagsmus and hand
out our end of yew awards, and Eric Armstead walk
a little and Brian Thomas Jr. All tell us about
the best Christmases. Welcome to Reee.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Merry Christmas, Oh dude, thank you for having me very
excited for this.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
First before we get all Christmas e, we've got to
talk about the game of the weekend.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Do we against the Las Vegas Raiders?
Speaker 1 (00:52):
We do, even if it's just for like a short
period of time nineteen fourteen Reece. We just seem to
talk about one person in particular on this podcast, Calton correct.
I do feel like we're getting getting to be a
little bit of a broken record about Brian Thomas Jr.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
But it is for good reason, though, isn't it really.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Give that man the Rookie of the year calling it? Look,
Jayen Daniels is probably favorite. Also you got Brock Bowers
as well.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
For the Raiders. Of course for the Raiders.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
But I think when you look at, you know, our
record this year and Brian Thomas Junior putting up those numbers,
I think it does make it it more needs to
be taken into consideration. Jayan Daniels on fire at the
start of the season, then kind of called off then
against the Eagles, kind of on that. Now he's got
that like playoff feeling in him, it feels like. But
(01:45):
to go over a thousand on a team like Ols
this year, I think that's a real achievement. The you know,
I remember in the preseason when we was out there, like,
you know, this year been a lot more into you know,
who we can potentially draft. But last year I would
just kind of did that thing where you just look
on the highlights and I was like YouTube highlights, who
(02:06):
is this Branton And I was like, dude can play,
But to like instantly do that, he.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Just put that into context. Just put out into context.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Whis the only rookies to finish top ten in yards
and touchdowns. This is a ridiculous set of names. Randy Masks,
Adele Beckham Junior, Michael Thomas, Jamar Chase and now Brian
Thomas Junior.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
That's a good company, isn't it.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
It's not surprising though, Like when you've read that out,
it's not like I'm like wow, it's more like, yeah,
that makes sense.
Speaker 5 (02:39):
Here's another point, Brees for a lot of it is
done it without his QB one. Yeah, which is another
factor to say.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
Say about how good Mac is. It's one way he
gets a lot of heat. I mean, to be fair,
I yeah, it's maybe that's a whole other conversation.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah. And you know, no one's disguising the fact that
Mac Jones hasn't lit it up over the last few
games when he's caught back one. But but his relationship
with Brian Thoma Junior. We spoke about it last week
and it hasn't been bad. And ye know there has
been moments and he has been throwing a nice deep
ball for Brian Thomas Jr. It's another one score loss.
(03:20):
We'll move on in a second. But that's nine now. Yeah,
it's a lot of one score losses, and it could
be different if you manage to get a few of
those victories. But at the end of the day, there's
no point dwelling on it, especially at this point in
the season.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
Yeah, And to be honest, I think you can it put.
I mean, I know, like you know, I remember when
we've spoken to jp On on the Jagos k we've
spoken to him before, and he always kind of like
tells me off a little bit for getting too excited
about you know, next year already when this one isn't finished.
But say we win three more of those one score games, Like,
(03:55):
are we in a better position for next year? Well,
we're sitting here, like I'd be real, like I it
is what it is, and like I think we got
a very good chance for next year to build something special.
And if it's a fact of what if, Okay, maybe
if I phrase it, if you was to offer me
(04:15):
three more wins this year, would I would I take
them to not even go into the playoffs?
Speaker 1 (04:20):
And like a lot of fans are going to be
having conflicting emotions towards that.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Yeah, but I think, like, like Okay, so you got
three more wins those one score games we kick a
field goal and win, or get turnover and score, like okay, cool.
Like I think you've got to think longer term, you know,
like we are building something here. As much as this
season like has sucked, I think we can all acknowledge that,
(04:44):
like I do think I keep saying this, we have
an opportunity to really turn things around next year. Travor's back.
Our team isn't a bad team, individual players aren't bad.
It's just a lot going on around it. But you
know what it could be. Put that out there. I
would rather have what we are now than to have
won some of those games which could be meaningless next
(05:07):
next year.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
There's been mistakes as well. I mean mistakes has been
like a massive throughout this whole season. A couple that
happened in the last game Key, a couple of turnovers,
brentain Strange turnovers towards the end of the first half,
Tank Bigsby as well with a turnover. Just I don't
even think we need to real talk about that, to
be honest, actually, like we just know that these things
(05:28):
have happened and they have been happening.
Speaker 5 (05:31):
It's one of those things that we've said before, isn't it.
In order to win, they need to stop losing to themselves.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Yea, the young guys have been playing well, let's just
finish on this.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
How nice positivity, the likes of Mason Smith playing the
best game of the year.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
You gotta look at the positives. We've spoken about some positives.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
I think, you know, the rookie class on the whole,
there has been some players that you know are going to.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Be good for the next few years.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
So let's try and look on the positive, the positive
as we've been trying to do over the last few weeks,
as the entire season, I suppose, key.
Speaker 5 (06:04):
Yeah, dude, regardless of a tough season, there are positives
to be taken. And the biggest positive I think is
that the future of this franchise, based on a lot
of first and second year players, can look pretty bright.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Agreed, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
I did it Actually is a great way of looking
at it, though. It is it's like, take one for
the team this year and build towards the future. I
completely agree. Well, like it's not it's not that bad,
Like it's it's yeah, it's been a bad season, but
it's actually not that bad, you know, for.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Every optimist here Reef Parkinson, everybody, let's talk Christmas now,
do you know what with some of the team, let's
do it involved in a moment, walk a little Eric Halmstead,
but first man in the hour, Brian Thomas Junior. Can
you tell us about your the best Christmas present you've
ever received?
Speaker 6 (06:58):
For me, it had to be a PlayStation. I got
the PlayStation. I got PlayStation two, I got Places four,
PlayStation five. But for me, I would say the PlayStation
five was my best Christmas President.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
It was your game of choice.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
Yeah, are your favorite?
Speaker 2 (07:17):
What was Zone?
Speaker 7 (07:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (07:20):
War Zone or just regular call of Duty? Are any good?
Speaker 7 (07:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (07:23):
I'm pretty good? You would say that.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Yeah, yeah, you would say your best Christmas memory.
Speaker 6 (07:28):
Christmas is being able to be around my family and friends.
I would say my best Christmas memory was probably getting
my cousin a President, him just going crazy about it,
which was actually another PlayStation that he wanted. He would
have been on it for a while, so just being
able to get that for him and he's seeing him
go crazy, it was probably the best memory of that.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
That's so nice.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Yeah, yeah, So first of all, Walker, we just like
to know what has been your favorite ever Christmas present?
Speaker 9 (07:59):
Favorite ever Christmas present? I would say the most memorable one,
which actually is kind of the uh, the opposite of
what your question is. Was when I was a little kid,
I had just started to read. I don't really like
reading it all, but I just started and my mom
gave me a bookmark for Christmas, and I started bowling, cryings.
Speaker 8 (08:17):
I thought it was the.
Speaker 7 (08:18):
Worst gift ever.
Speaker 9 (08:20):
And so we still talking about to this day about
how awful I stand by how awful that present was.
And she always talked about how she thought it was
nice and how it's just like a gesture towards me
starting to read. And I was like, who wants a
bookmark for Christmas? So that is probably the most memorable one,
I would say, you know.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
What, my next question was going to be, what's your
favorite Christmas memory?
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Is?
Speaker 6 (08:43):
That?
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Is that? It is?
Speaker 3 (08:44):
That?
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Is that?
Speaker 9 (08:45):
That's not for one of them? I would say, obviously
there's others. In terms of just growing up, we h
one thing we always did with my parents would kind
of make like this trail mixed type stuff that.
Speaker 7 (08:54):
They put glitter in. They call it.
Speaker 9 (08:56):
We called it like reindeer food, and we'd go out
to the front lawn and go sprinkle it all through
the lawn. And we always as kids, and I had
an older brothers five years older mood up. It always
ended up like at first being real fun and light
harder than getting real competitive towards the end, who was
going to sprinkle more of it around? And people are
stealing each other. So I feel like I ended up
in tears a few times doing that as well. But
(09:18):
it's fun and that's a great memory.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
I think it's funny how we've asked you two you know,
nice Christmas memories, both of which end with you balling
your eyes out.
Speaker 7 (09:27):
Yeah. I was a sensitive kid for.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
Sure, and now all of your family are expecting bookmarks
for Christmas.
Speaker 7 (09:35):
Exactly and that's what we'll get for sure.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
Right.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Welcome, Thank you so much, man, appreciate you joining too.
Talk Yeah, thank you all Christmas memories? Eric, Can you
tell me your bit your favorite Christmas memory?
Speaker 10 (09:49):
My favorite Christmas memory now that how they have kids,
where I would say is being a father on Christmas
has been amazing. But back to my childhood, man, I
just remember, you know, being Christmas was always like super
family oriented and just being around my all, my family
(10:10):
and my extended family. We would have like our Christmas
in the morning with my family and then we would
all go to my grandma's house in the afternoon. We
would eat, play video games, go outside, play basketball, play
a little bit of football every now and then. And
then my granddad was a big bowler, so like we
would always in the night going to I guess for
(10:32):
some reason bowling alleys are over and.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
On Christmas, no idea that was the case.
Speaker 8 (10:37):
Yeah, we go bowling as well too, so it was
a lot of fun.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
I mean, that is the first time I've ever heard
of anyone bowling on Christmas Day. I feel like that
should be like an Armsted tradition.
Speaker 8 (10:49):
Yeah, it was a lot of fun. At like the
end of the day we would go to the bowling alley.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Nice. Eric, thank you so much for joining till talk today.
I have a good Christmas.
Speaker 8 (10:57):
Thank you, appreciate your merry Christmas.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Brian Thomas Junior walk a little Eric Armstead as well.
Who goes bowling every Christmas? Would you go bowling Christmas Day?
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Is I don't understand people that leave their home on
Christmas Day I've never understood that would you walk over
a walk No?
Speaker 4 (11:14):
No, that comes down sounds fun.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Or sounds of my childhood though, and that again is
a completely different conversation.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Do you know what I just I just like to
imagine that, like, you know, different family members have invited
you around for Christmas and you're like, I'm so sorry.
I can't actually leave the house on Christmas. My Christmas
Day tradition is I don't go outside the front door.
Speaker 5 (11:36):
Do you know what if Eric Armstead asked me to
go bowling with him, I'm not saying no, he's a
big guy.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
I bet it be good though, to be fair, bet
I bet you'd be good, especially if he's been playing
for his childhood for Christmas Day. You know what, let's
have a nice Christmas conversation about Jacksonville Jaguars.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Let's try and answer as many of these questions.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
As we can, some of which we've actually learned over
the last few weeks as well. So what we're going
to do is we're going to start with it could
be any of the ones who have just mentioned as well,
which Jaguar can go into the festive period full of
Christmas cheer. The jag with the most to celebrate.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
Let's go away with.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
Oh that's easy. Am I a cop out for saying BTJ?
Be real with me?
Speaker 2 (12:21):
It's it's correct.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
Yeah, yeah, so I can. I can. It's yeah cool.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
I should have gone first.
Speaker 5 (12:31):
Yeah, we should have also checked with each other. What
are our answers going to? I need to think on
the spot now.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
Cab little for you now, Brian Tomas Jr. I think
you go into Christmas you're gutted with the record, but
at the same time you've done it. You've done a brilliant,
brilliant job that I think you're loved in Jacksonville already.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
Yeah, it's true.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Actually, I mean we spoke about this before, didn't how
he is now along with Trevor Lawrence going to be
and I suppose Josh Haines Allen as well.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
The the face.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
You feel it, you'll you'll feel like those three, those
three faces that you go you drive, that's got to
be a good feeling you drive around the stadium. Next
year is going to be his face on there. Like
you know, everyone when we go in the summer and
we do those interviews last year, you know, it's a
lot of Trevor it's a lot of Josh Han's Allen,
It's a lot of e TM. You get the same
(13:24):
players coming Tank would be mentioned, but you know next
summer it's going to be everyone's gonna say bet Joey
like pretty much everyone you know, maybe even more than Trevor.
Really like, I feel like when you have like a
wide receiver that's hot, it's like a Justin Jefferson sort
of thing, like it easily becomes face.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
But these expectations weren't actually massive you doing him before
this season because people.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Knew much about it and it was like lsu like
he was he wasn't a number one exactly?
Speaker 2 (13:51):
What about you Ku?
Speaker 4 (13:53):
I mean restroked about it, But it is actually going to.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
Be I can't just pick it because you really like him?
Speaker 4 (14:00):
Why not I do like him?
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Why is it Cam Little?
Speaker 4 (14:04):
It's a big, big dude.
Speaker 5 (14:05):
If you look at what he's achieved this season, equaling
the franchise record with a fifty nine yarder he's hit,
He's only missed two, He's hit the majority of his
field goals.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Is that is that something that like as a field
goal kicker?
Speaker 7 (14:21):
Though?
Speaker 3 (14:22):
Are you like, what do we judge on excellence in.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
Consistency, like are you missed too?
Speaker 3 (14:28):
But still like is that to say, like, I'll go
and I actually do agree with you in some part,
but just if I'm playing a bit advocate here, if
you're looking for excellence to be like I've crushed this year,
surely whilst he's eating whatever Americans have for Christmas dinner,
well turkey, I'm assuming I'm thinkingna something more exciting for dessert,
(14:49):
but surely he's thinking, yeah, he's finally going done so
well Cam, He's like, but those two like one may
be a bit different, only because his field goal kicker.
I feel like you have to judge what.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
It was interesting you actually say that it's interesting.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
You say that though, rece because earlier on this season
I was having a conversation with a different NFL kicker
and I asked him, what is what is like the
standard your standard in practice? And he was like, it's
ninety percent. Like if you go underneath ninety percent, you're
not happy.
Speaker 8 (15:19):
Do we know what he today?
Speaker 3 (15:20):
How many has he taken?
Speaker 5 (15:22):
I know that he's missed. I'm pretty sure he's only
missed too. What that percentage is I don't know. I
think it's like eighteen out of twenty, or that's what
it was the week before the Raiders game. But anyway,
so it's probably going to be roughly about ninety percent.
But to answer your question, rees, if he's sitting there
eating turkey on Christmas dinner, what is he thinking. He's
probably thinking this is a little bit dry.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Absolutely, Turkey's so dry.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
Turkey's too dry. Don't be eating that anymore. Let's all
move on.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
And then you look at provisions and no one wants
to say it out loud, yeah, because the person's cooked it,
but you're all looking at each other and you're like,
dry turkey.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
Turkey has no place on the dinner table. Secondly, you
are absolutely right that he will be thinking about those
two missed field goals. And if you remember when we
were when coach Farwell came over in the summer, he
said it's one of the things that he loves about
Cam the most is that if he's in practice and
he misses one, it's that one that he's thinking about.
(16:17):
He's not thinking about anything else. He's thinking about the
one that he missed.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
I'm going to go with even though the fact that
he actually hobbled off with a bit of an ankle
injury in the last game. And then we just heard
from actually Walk a Little as well, signing that big
contract over the last few weeks. But the sound of
things didn't have actually it hasn't had that much time
to properly celebrate it either. So I imagine that this Christmas,
well he can go out a little bit, you know
what I mean, sign a big contract, nice way to celebrate.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
Sounds like he's got to enjoys Christmas, you know as well.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
So Rachel, let's go with Walk a Little. You are
the Secret Center and the Jaguars locker room. What presents
are you buying for members of your team? And what
would you write in the card? Ki ram Surah.
Speaker 4 (16:57):
That's so great, that's a lovely question.
Speaker 5 (17:00):
I am going to buy or do you know what
I'm going to change that. I Am going to make
a cornish pasty for Ross Matis and I'm going to
write in the card because I know I know that
you love these Ross. I know there's no there's no guessing.
He wasn't he wasn't being like him. No, dude, he
(17:24):
loves a cornish PASTI.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
So you are going to be giving him a cornish
past it.
Speaker 5 (17:28):
I'm going to make and present him with a homemade,
fresh cornish pasty.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
I was going to say, you need to make sure
you get this.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
There's there's nothing worse than a cornish pasty that has
been shipped over from the from London to Jacksonville.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
I will pay my own airfare.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
Do you know what that would be a strange secret
center present. I'm not going to lie and secret center
for for you? Is Kei ram Saron all the way
from the UK through a back Cuma Jay with a
cornish pasty.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
Yes, exactly what you're saying.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
I'm going to go with a robot hoover, you know
the ones that you see it kind of apples and whatnot.
You know who I love obsessed. His family are obsess
with keeping his room clean. So whenever he comes on
a tour, his room is spotless. Not that I've I've
been invited to his room because that would be very strange,
(18:23):
but he has told us multiple times that it's one
of these things. He's just military family. Everything's clean.
Speaker 8 (18:30):
So I think a.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
Robot hoover just to give him some peace of mind.
He'd really appreciate.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
That's a really good answer, along with a cornish past.
Speaker 5 (18:38):
Along with to say you're not going to give him
a cornish pasty as well.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
I think that before we get to my choice, everyone's
getting a cornish past. Everyone's getting for everyone, no matter
what happens, I'll do a big batch. Well, actually, I'm
going to say that. In fact, I'm not going to
give any member of the Jacksonville Jaguars a a secret
center president and for no other reason, because I've got
somebody else that I would like to give a present.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
Neither of you two key's face there.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
I was so excited, actually, Anton Harrison's mother that I'm
going to be giving a I'm going to be giving
a present.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Because we have spoken before.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
We spoke with Anton Harrison over Thanksgiving, the fact that
he had to make mac and cheese because he was
not satisfied with his.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
Mother's mac and cheese. He said it but his own
mother about brother.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
My respect for Anton was one hundred percent.
Speaker 4 (19:32):
Say that to his face, never say to his face.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
Never. Now it's at ninety nine.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
So I am going to give a book on how
to make mac and cheese. Anton Harrison's mate, I would
advise you to not do that.
Speaker 3 (19:51):
The optics of that would look very bad.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
What would I write in the card? I'd say, here's
a here's a present for you, love, Key Ramsey.
Speaker 4 (20:04):
Yeah, thanks mate.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Last week Eric Ahmstaid talked about film night at Josh
Heinz Allen's. We actually suspect that they were actually watching
game films, but we were tickled by the idea of
going around Josh Allen's with snacks DVD. Which jags player's
house would you like to visit? What would you take
to eat? And what film would you watch?
Speaker 5 (20:29):
Let's go key, I would like to go round to
Andrew Wingard's house.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
Oh, I would create.
Speaker 5 (20:38):
Sultan Vinegar Father Beans okay, and I would put on
the movie Batman, Tim Burton's nineteen eighty nine version, because
Andrew Winger, like myself, is a big fan of the
eighties and that's a very eighties camp film.
Speaker 4 (20:59):
It's also the greatest film ever made. No discussion. Let's
move on.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
I'm going to go with Evan Ingram. I'm going to
go to Evan Ingram's house. I'm going to take what
shall I take and figure that one out. I'll come
back to it. What film would I watch? Well, I
would take game film, but of a completely different sport.
I would take the Peter Crouch highlights of when he
was playing, because he didn't score a touchdown in London
(21:26):
this time around, but he did say that he had
a celebration sorted.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
I don't know what the celebration is.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
I hope that it was Peter Crouch's Robot now, just
in case that he had never seen it before or
never heard of it before, there is only one way
to so he's made aware of it. So next time
when the Jags come to London and Evan Ingram catches
that touchdown, he's in the end zone and what comes
(21:52):
to mind, Well, he's recently been watching the Peter Crouch's
England highlights from two thousand and six.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
So he's going to be doing Robot superb.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
There we go. I don't know what we're eating. What
did he say he really likes lemon pepper chicken, Lemon
pe pepper chicken.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
We're going to say that Anthon Harrison?
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Okay, is it Mac and Cheese.
Speaker 7 (22:18):
Around?
Speaker 3 (22:19):
Nothing more to be said? What film I will go with?
Speaker 5 (22:25):
Do you know what you could you could put on
Joey Tribani's pilot episode of Mac and Cheese.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
There we go there we go? Or he is very good.
He loves the old you know, going around and reviewing food,
doesn't he? So maybe like a I.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
Don't know man versus food, you know, London Special or
something something like that. Here's a good one. Which Jags
player would you most like to be? I feel like
this is an ex essential question.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
Livers them for the rest of eternity.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Let's say livers them.
Speaker 5 (22:59):
No, they're mortal like everyone else. I know you put
them on a high pedcil, but they are mortal.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
Whose life would you like to step into for a
undetermined amount of time?
Speaker 3 (23:13):
Okay you might? Okay Pat Murder because I've never been
to Australia.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Or is it because you just want love Island hitting
you up saying hey, can you?
Speaker 2 (23:27):
Are you free?
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Australia is actually on my bucket list.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
Isn't it?
Speaker 3 (23:31):
Actually?
Speaker 4 (23:32):
You know you don't have to be him to go.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
To No, I want to be him. I'm not sure
if you've met the man he's who's the dude he
plays Aquaman? Yes, I'm not saying they look the same,
but they're physique. Patrick Murder is a god amongst men.
To be him for a day I would topless on
the beach and I would just stand there.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
What you've made this podcast weird?
Speaker 2 (23:59):
I'm not sure what you mean by that.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
Do you want to know exactly what.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
Stud fair enough, I will say. I will say, well,
I seem to have a fascination.
Speaker 5 (24:16):
Where it is going to be that big?
Speaker 3 (24:21):
So what is different about that?
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Because I gods, you know, let's pull back the podcast curtain.
I know that people are listening to this thinking I'm
probably six four six ' five, that's what That's what
the people are thinking. The tallest I think j is
six fourth. I'm not the tallest man. I wonder what
(24:46):
it's like to live as a very large human being
Logan Cook, and I just think it'd be interesting to
experience with someone that has never experienced Josh Nzellen.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
Let's go Josh mins Allen. I shook his hand.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
That's a far I've not met Josh and I shook
his hand, and I did feel like a small human being.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
We're gone to yours key, No, we haven't done this
keys last.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
Then I would like.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
To be.
Speaker 4 (25:10):
Ross matter sick, because.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
You really I love that's not you, that's not your No,
do you know what?
Speaker 5 (25:21):
I refuse to answer this question because I'm so comfortable
in my own skin. I bet you're a who chris
My Ferraph so happy with me? I actually Andrew wingerd
there we go.
Speaker 4 (25:37):
Let's move on.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
I think you need to put more effort into the
last round key, and we can do this amongst ourselves
actually instead of you know, doing this one.
Speaker 7 (25:48):
Ah.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Who are the.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Three wise men of the Jacksonville.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
In what sense? I'm genuinely wise?
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Like you can look at it that way.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
I suppose you could look at gold, Frankensnse and muh
what's Franks and down? It's a really good question and
one that I've never been able to.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
One of them smells nice.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Let's do that.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Which one's that?
Speaker 4 (26:17):
I mean, mister Khan always smells incredible.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
I've never been that close. Do you have once on
the You're right?
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Always really nice? He does, So he's the one that
is that franken cens or?
Speaker 2 (26:32):
Is that Mr?
Speaker 4 (26:32):
I think that's Frank.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
Frank consense? Okay, so Frank concense. We're saying, mister.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Not sure.
Speaker 4 (26:44):
I don't know what murr is, but yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Let's let's have a look.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
What is Muhr is a yellow fragrant? It is potentially
a healer. I suppose a potential healer.
Speaker 5 (27:00):
And it's Jeff Ferguson, who is the athletic.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
Trade Yeah and gold?
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Then are we saying it's got to be dj because
he is absolutely cold?
Speaker 2 (27:13):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (27:14):
I was going to go with straight up as you know,
got a contract and worth a lot of money now
after getting a new contract, but I.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
Like more literally, I was going more.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
Literal with that. Okay, so we'll do that. Let's do
the three wise Men. Though in terms of icons, you
think the three arsh.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
What did you do to to? He's the only Jaguar
to make it into the Hall of Fame. Tony is
the great, So.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
Let's do it off. You know, we spoke about earlier
about let's do it off in front of the stadium.
You can only fit three people on there, past and present.
Who are you putting on there?
Speaker 2 (27:53):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (27:53):
Wow, dude's past and present?
Speaker 3 (27:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (27:59):
Well, I think that you've got as you say, Tony,
I think you've got Fred Taylor and you probably and
you've got Trevor Lawrence there as well as the current.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
Now, if you're looking more current.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
Then I think that you've got then I think Josh
Heinz Allen comes into the mix. I think Brian Thomas,
as you spoke about before, Brian Thomas Jr.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
He has in setting himself there.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
I think you've got Trevor Lawrence obviously, and then he
probably got Josh Heines Allen.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
Would you agree with that key current?
Speaker 2 (28:26):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (28:27):
Yeah, I think Josh Heines Allen has to be up there,
especially last season single season sack record. I think Josh
Heines Allen has.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
To be up there.
Speaker 5 (28:37):
Do you know what the season that he's had. Brian
Thomas Jr. I think you have to.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
I feel like you're heads debating even putting Trevor on there.
Speaker 4 (28:46):
It's it's between Ross Matase and Andrew Wingood.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
It's just going to be just It's gonna be Josh
Hees Allen, Brian Thomas and Corners Pasity.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
Okay, Trevor on there as well.
Speaker 4 (29:01):
Trevor on.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
I think we have gone through.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
A nice little Christmas I'll g one there a.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Nice Christmas festive experience there with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
Thank you so much to both of you.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
One thing that is going on around the festive period
is this Guy Sports NFL.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Show featuring Rhys Parkson. Yes, reees. What's going on on
the next edition of the show. It's on Boxing.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
Day and we are going to speak to who should
be here speak about the Jags without another JA. But
his last name as in P is weird, so speaking
to JP.
Speaker 4 (29:38):
Right for a Jurassic Park.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
We do have the Hall of Fame and Tonylli give
his thoughts as well outcoming match.
Speaker 4 (29:49):
But yeah, do you want me to do this? I
want me to sell this gy So a highlight.
Speaker 5 (29:56):
This week is going to be miked up, which is
a nice juicy segment in the second half of the show.
And you always say is your favorite part of the show?
Isn't it is miked up?
Speaker 3 (30:07):
Yeah? I just need to know which which player potentially
that we're going to make it up. Oh, we don't know.
So a highlight of the show will be highlight of
the show is going to be miked up, which is
my favorite part. I think there's nothing better than feeling
like you're there. If there's any way to experience, it's
the closest way you can experience being an NFL player,
(30:28):
I think is miked up, you know, because you can
hear what they're saying. I love it, even when they're
on the bench and they're just chatting nonsense. You can
you feel like you're there, So that's always a highlight.
And then of course my brother from another mother, JP,
and then Hall of Famer Ton as well.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
You and JP have a lovely Christmas y chat this week.
Speaker 3 (30:46):
Yeah, yeah, we do. Actually, Oh, okay, if there's any
reason to watch the show, JP's beard his beard game
is incredible.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
And even at that in a good way, are you
being like.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
Oh, you'll find out okay, Oh you're fined out?
Speaker 2 (31:03):
Jay? When and were it is?
Speaker 3 (31:09):
On Thursday?
Speaker 1 (31:12):
There we go, There we go. Two more games to go,
both winnable. We won't talk about the last one. So
let's figure out what we think is going to happen
against the Titans.
Speaker 5 (31:24):
J you have to give your prediction before me so
that I can do the opposite of you to mathematically
stay in the competition.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
Yes, so we do have standings, don't we, And you
do get to feature this time for the second time
I think this year.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
Actually, yeah, you.
Speaker 4 (31:40):
After the Wembley game, you gave a prediction.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
So we have standings.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
The person that wins does get to take some Jags
merchandise from the other person and I'm feeling pretty good,
pretty good right now.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
The standings are as follows.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
Key on three, the fan or the guest is at
five and I am at six. So there's still an
opportunity for the fan to leap frog, and in theoriatual
there's still an opportunity for Key to do all right,
because if you get the score correct and you get
a bonus point as well.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
We'll get to the predictions after we discussed it.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
It's a Tennessee Titans this weekend, a game that is
eminently winnable against a team that is in quarterback flux.
I think it's spare to say Mason Rudolph started in
the last game. They did manage to get back into
it against the Indianapolis Culture, but the majority of the
game they were not into this very winnable game.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
But I said that.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
Last week, Key, and the week before we said it,
I was yeah, but I was particularly confident last week.
I was basically thinking this was I was very confident
that the Jaggs would win against the Raiders, and obviously
it didn't happen.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
So should we be as bullish?
Speaker 4 (32:53):
Key, I'm not giving you any help.
Speaker 5 (32:55):
Do your prediction, and I will do the talk about
the game.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
Talk about the game.
Speaker 5 (33:01):
So, dude, I'm going to say exactly the same as
I said last week. I think the Jaguars are still
I think a better team than the Titans. I think
they can win this game. I think the Titans are
coming off a loss.
Speaker 4 (33:17):
I think the.
Speaker 5 (33:19):
Jags are a more talented side and they should be
winning this matchup.
Speaker 2 (33:23):
What do you reckon?
Speaker 3 (33:24):
So you can say, to be honest, I feel like
you said you could have actually said that to about
more than half of the games we played.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
This year, particularly the last couple of weeks. Like I said,
exactly the same thing, which is the Raiders.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
And the Jets and Raiders, and you should have, in
my opinion, one score game. You know what, we lose
by one score game. Okay, if you're asking, you're asking
me to put a bet here, right, I'm going to
go with our history and we'll go one score game.
Speaker 4 (33:53):
Give us an actual score, grommet, do it quicker than that?
Speaker 3 (33:59):
Whose both?
Speaker 2 (34:01):
What's the score?
Speaker 11 (34:02):
Thirteen ten thirteen ten to the Titans. Yeah, yeah, that's
not what I want to happen. I'm gonna sort of
rent for the fans here, right, because if we get
this in a six, then we're drawing with you.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
I'm going to switch and I will say thirteen ten
to the Jacksonville Jaguars. They are a better team against
the Titans.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
Key.
Speaker 5 (34:27):
So technically, to mathematically stay in the competition, I have
to do the opposite both of j so that but
I can't do it. I can't choose the Titans. I'm
not going to. And I also don't think they'll win.
I think the Jaguars will win, and I think it
will be twenty four to twenty one, and I think
(34:47):
I will get two points.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
Okay, very confident.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
Nice, Actually I say very confident, but your confidence is
actually waned week by week from your extremely confident first
few weeks of extremely specific addictions.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
No, it was like it was like.
Speaker 5 (35:05):
Cam Little, It's really settled down, hasn't it.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
It's not fun for me anymore.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
These predictions ridiculous. Just a reminder, by the way, the
final huge prize in the twelve days of Jacksman's Competition
on all the Jaguars UK and Island social channels from
eleven a m. On the twenty third of December to
four pm on Christmas Eve, it's a trip to Florida.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
We spoke about this last week. Enter.
Speaker 1 (35:36):
I think it would be frowned on two flights, four
nights of accommodation, two spots in the twenty twenty five
Kissing Me Golf Classic.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
Oh wow, what a prize that is.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
So if you're a Jags fan, I think you know
from from my perspective, it's it's a no brain over
in the Jaguars UK and Ireland social channels and enter
that before four pm on Christmas Eve.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
All right, back next week waiting for Christmas? Reese, are
you leaving your house?
Speaker 3 (36:09):
No?
Speaker 2 (36:10):
Are you leaving? Have you got? You got a garden?
Speaker 4 (36:12):
You got?
Speaker 3 (36:14):
I'm going back to my mum's.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
So will you be going outside?
Speaker 3 (36:19):
We're driving to my uncles. But I refuse to leave
the house apart from.
Speaker 5 (36:22):
That, okay, okay, so the only outside, but will be
from house to cast, no walks.
Speaker 4 (36:29):
What's your favorite Christmas movie?
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (36:33):
Good question, Stuart, Little Fantastic.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
That is a rogue choice. Key, what are you doing
for Christmas?
Speaker 5 (36:41):
For Christmas? I will be with the Big Dog my part. No,
so I've had my Christmas with my daughter already. So
we did that on Saturday, which was absolutely fantastic. So
I get to Christmas Days.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
She's a legend. Yeah, absolutely legend.
Speaker 5 (36:55):
Yeah, she's the best. She gets too Christmas Days as well.
I bought her a camera. She's going to be a filmmaker.
I'm so excited.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
This is like project, but your version isn't exactly.
Speaker 4 (37:07):
So yeah, my Christmas Day will be big Dog swim in.
Speaker 5 (37:11):
The sea in Is she aware you call her big dog? No,
the dog is big dog, literal dog. Yeah, Ellie is
not big dog. It's an actual big dog. Thanks for
listening to the podcast.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
Favorite film Christmas film.
Speaker 4 (37:25):
Die hard?
Speaker 3 (37:26):
You say that.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
Film fair enough.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
My favorite Christmas film is a really soppy one.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
The Holiday such a good Christmas film? Why you're so
Netflix and chill? You are so Netflix and Chill?
Speaker 2 (37:43):
What's wrong with I feel like the holiday? You're looking
down at me for.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
I'm not looking down I feel you, bro.
Speaker 5 (37:52):

Murton and so you cannot look down at anyone for
anything ever. Again, Well, hope you to have a very
