Speaker 1 (00:02):
And welcome to an extremely special episode of Teal Talk Today,
the official Jacksonville Jackets podcast for the UK and Ireland.
I'm Jay Lawrence, absolutely no relation. He's Key Rams are
and joined today by J. P. Shadrick and Riss Parkinson
as well joining us for the first time on.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Jackson Wynn Baby. How are we all feeling? Are we
feeling okay? We're feeling good. The happiest I've been this season.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Yeah, absolutely fantastic.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
And JP is good as well because you've you've been
in the building when the Jacksonville Jakis win, which is
the first time this season.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
If I'm not, If I'm not, because.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
I was over here during the win over the the Colts,
right and then I mean, this is my seventeenth night
in London, so my mind's a little crammed within.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
For I was.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Convinced you with the problem, JP, turns out as you're
completely wrong.

Speaker 5 (00:55):
But I'll take it.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
What a win today, I mean this was It was
ugly at first and you were like, oh man, are
they going to follow the same path? How do they respond?
There was all those questions coming out of the game
about you know, the culture of the team and the
quarterbacks said they're fragile, and the safety said, they quit
and they're down two.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
Scores and they just blow the roof off the place.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
I mean, the offense settled in. They had a punk
return touchdown which was electric.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
And we will hear, of course, interviews in the Jacksonville
Janguars locker room. We're gonna hear from Devon Hamilton as
well from the Jags.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Talking to all things London.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Actually I had a chat with him and it will
be revealed what his new favorite British food is sausages.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
It's not, but it does begin with an s.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
Rees.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
You're not far off. But why are you trying to
ruin it so early, Reese? You're a professional.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
How good is it to be Jacksonville Jaguars home turf
and to see a victory here?

Speaker 5 (01:51):
Oh it was awesome. It was so good.

Speaker 6 (01:52):
I mean, I think you just think of last week
and how we wait so long to have the team
over here and for the first game to be a loss.
You could just feel the atmosphere. I know it wasn't
technically our home game, but kind of isn't a weird
way I always think it is whenever Jags' in London
to me, it should feel like a home game, whether

(02:13):
it's at Spurs or here, and you just saw so
many defeated faces, not only on the players but the fans.
So I think there was a lot riding on today,
not only for the season, but also the UK fan
base because it's like, you know, you make all that effort,
you come all the way, you get your tickets, to
lose two in a row heartbreaking, so you could fill
the fans desperately wanted it, I say, almost as much

(02:34):
as the players, but in a sense, yeah, there was
a feel of desperation. You don't want them to come
to your what feels like home and to lose two
in a row.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
So it was amazing.

Speaker 6 (02:43):
That turnaround was incredible and I think, like JP said,
the Punk return just like was it. It just changed
everything and I think London for the team has that effect.
I remember was it last year or two years ago
where literally London turned the season around and then we
managed to get in a playoffs, so it was two
years ago. It does is something here for us, I
think you know there is.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
It was last season.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
It was the two victories that turned it around because
they came in with a negative record and then left London.

Speaker 7 (03:13):
Right.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Yeah, I think what's really interesting actually about that Park
of Washington return is that is the longest touchdown in
London game history, and I believe it is the longest
touchdown franchise history in a punt return. I mean that
is that's something. And to be under the lights here
Wembley Stadium, I mean that's brilliant. And you know what

(03:35):
as well, in a season JP which has felt at
times where you're trying to cling onto those highlights, it
did feel like there are a few today that you
can just it almost felt a moment that you could
just have a nice like sigh of relief just to see,
just to see the explosiveness of this offense.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
It can have it can.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
I mean that the punt return obviously special teams, huge
turning point in the game and like kind of put
it step ahead almost out of reach at that point.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Right.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
But there were a couple of big plays by Brian
Thomas Junior down.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
The second culture in general.

Speaker 5 (04:06):
Which was great to see.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
And then there was a point in this game where
the Jaguars ran the football seventeen consecutive plays and they said,
you know what, enough of this tank Bigsby's.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
Our guy, and they were gonna run.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
It was one hundred and seventy one for the team.
Tank got his second career one hundred yard game, two
touchdowns on the ground, and he he came in as
the league leader in yards per carry average over seven yards,
and he had today, I mean a massive game obviously about.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
Four and a half five at carry, which is fantastic.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
So he was getting ten eleven yards a clip at
one point, and so why not keep handing it off
to the guy that is that is fully on the
offensive line for setting up those holes, even with Cam
Robinson not out there in concussion after being evaluated for concussion.
So that's a great team effort up front. Tank Bigsby
running hard into contact and that set a tone for

(04:59):
this team today.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
I remember leaving training camp twenty twenty three season and
being so excited about Tank Bigsby and it didn't happen
last season, but to see it happen this season, man,
I love to see it.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Do you remember coming that training you.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Was obsessed many It was like like Tank Bigsby was
slashears Cam little.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
What I love about that as well.

Speaker 6 (05:22):
I love his relationship with Travis because it still feels
you know, I don't I don't know what that's got
to be like, Like, you know, obviously you want the
team to do well. Also as the same position, there's
that whole thing in sports.

Speaker 5 (05:34):
You know kind of yeah, you know, and there can
be that weird thing.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
I don't know behind the scenes, but from out there,
Travis is almost his biggest fan, and they're EA Travers's
biggest fans, so it feels like there is this genuine
I want you to do well, you know, and you
saw that after the game, Travis is the first one
to come over and like jump on Yanks.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
I have to say, right, I've talked about it earlier
in the season, what they've looked like on the sideline
and last week there was a lot of talk about jogging.
They looked different today. They looked like they had pet
they looked like they were they wanted it, and that
was fantastic to see. They looked like a completely different team.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
I think big players can sometimes do that though, can't they?
Big players can do that because they can change, they
immediately change in atmosphere.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Yeah, okay, let's go to the locker room show.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
We after the Jaguars thirty to sixteen win against the
New England Patriots, and see what the Jacksonville Jaguars have
to say.

Speaker 8 (06:28):
Levin Ingram tight end Jacksonville Jaguars five receptions, five targets.
That's coming off a game last week where we had
ten receptions off ten targets. Has taught to me about
your connection with the quarterback stood behind you, Trene Lawrence.

Speaker 7 (06:40):
Yeah, I mean he's a baller. He's a baller, and
we both put a lot of working together and execute
our opportunities. He does a great job with all of
our receivers, just communicating and watching film, looking at certain
things that we want to do. He throws a really
a great ball. He throws a great bar. It's easy
to catch. So I'm definitely gonna keep building, keep trying

(07:02):
to get better, keep chasing greatness together, keep doing whatever
we can, keep winning games.

Speaker 8 (07:06):
This is the second season in a row where you've
had back to back games in London. How do you
find the trips over here?

Speaker 5 (07:13):
I love it.

Speaker 7 (07:13):
I love it. I think it's a great opportunity for
our team to come together on the road and and
you know, far from home. You know we're gonna sit
together and try to try to come out here with
two wins. Obviously last weekend didn't work out the best,
but we you know, we responded all week, put the
work in and came out here and have fun today.

(07:34):
So definitely, you know, we're excited to get home. We missed,
you know, miss home, miss Jacksonville a little bit, but
every year we come out here, it's a great trip.

Speaker 8 (07:42):
It must help with team bonding as well, when you
come up a defeat like that last week at Tattenham,
but you're all together, you're in the same base, you're
in it together throughout the week building up for this game.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Does it help build.

Speaker 8 (07:56):
Like a brotherhood and unite the team.

Speaker 7 (07:58):
Yes, kind of like in a camp. Honestly, you know,
we're kind of all under one roof long work days.
We had great food at the Grove, so everybody got
to eat together every night and this bond and hang
out and have fun. Obviously we're in a diversus, we're
in a verse spot in our season, but everybody keeps
coming together, everybody keeps pushing each other get better, and

(08:19):
that's what families do, so we're gonna keep doing that.

Speaker 8 (08:22):
What did the team do during the days off this
week when you're out of the grove.

Speaker 7 (08:25):
I was definitely relaxing. I relax, put some you know,
get some extra work in, watch some extra film. But
a lot of guys did get out in the city
and go shopping and sight seeing, and the grove had
some golf, so the guys got some good golf in,
so big chilling hanging out and it was a great time.

Speaker 8 (08:41):
Tiger, what's played there no longer?

Speaker 3 (08:43):
You know?

Speaker 9 (08:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (08:43):
I heard, yeah, that's what the guys were saying, that
you played there not too long ago. So hopefully we
come back next year.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
I'll get out there next time.

Speaker 8 (08:50):
There's a record crowd at Wembley Stadium today, it's a
London record, and of course you played at Tulkingham last week.
How do you compare the two in d Do you
have a favorite?

Speaker 5 (08:58):
Man, won't believe for sure.

Speaker 7 (08:59):
I learned about soccer through FIFA, and definitely Wimbley has
such a great history here. Tottenham is awesome too. Tottenham
is such a modern and very sleek and cool look
at stadium and the fans pack it out there too,
So I mean I love both venues. Wimbley, obviously, I
think is bigger, it can seek more fans.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
So definitely the.

Speaker 7 (09:20):
Atmosphere is a little bit crazier and louder, but miss
breathtaking every time we come out here. I played football
my whole life, played a lot of college ball, played
in the NFL obviously, so coming out here is just
a blessing and you know, I'll remember it forever.

Speaker 8 (09:33):
And how do you approach the season now? You improved
to two and five if you're playing Green Bay in
Jacksonville next week, and then you've got the Vikings coming
up as well, and it's tough frount but there's no
easy games, of course in the NFL. But how do
you approach it now as you aim to make a
playoff push?

Speaker 7 (09:49):
Yeah, we're just one week out of time, one week
out a toime. We're going to keep working. Obviously, we
have a lot, a lot of work to do a
lot ahead of us, but like I said, when we
got a toime, we're going to keep building, keep pushing
each other and having fun with it as well.

Speaker 8 (10:02):
Tyson Campbell cornerback, Jacksonville, Jackuars from CENTA think down. You
guys turned it round. Congratulations on a big win today.

Speaker 5 (10:09):
Thank you man. It was honing to be back out there.
My god, we had a lot of fun.

Speaker 8 (10:14):
Yeah, you had a pass breakup out there. What was
the plan this week with the rookie Drake May? How
did you what was the approach to.

Speaker 10 (10:20):
The you know, give him a hard reason, make sure
we disguise him, make him think a lot, being good
coverage so he has to make difficult throws.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
So I think we held up to it.

Speaker 8 (10:30):
And the fact that you were double digits down and
you got the comeback, and you know what a swift
comeback it was. You know, the longest touchdown in London history. Yeah,
ninety seven yard punt return for a touchdown. Biggest crowd
in London history as well, really lit it up. But
for you guys, you know from momentum, what does that
do from a mentum standpoint.

Speaker 11 (10:47):
For you man?

Speaker 10 (10:48):
It just it gives a boost, man, just giving us
excitement for us to come later in this season. We
get to go back home and play in front of
our fans and Jacksonville, So we're excited.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Man.

Speaker 10 (11:00):
Just learn from the mistakes we had in this game
and be ready next week.

Speaker 8 (11:04):
How's have we been for the team based at the
Grove last year? I know, you flew into the grove
and then you've changed the hotels, but you guys stayed
at your camp this year, so you've had the week
there and of course you had to get over that
defeat of the Tautenham Stadium. But how how was it
as a team bunding exercise?

Speaker 10 (11:20):
It was great man, just you know, being somewhere where
you're stuck with your teammates, you have none budget but tabon,
So it was great.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
Man.

Speaker 10 (11:28):
Had a lot of fun with these guys and definitely
feel like it built our chemistry.

Speaker 8 (11:33):
And what was it like just seeing that punk return
the ninety seven yard Punk team? What does that do
to a team?

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Yeah, Parker is a heck of a player.

Speaker 10 (11:40):
You know, he's very proud of you know, what he's
been doing for our team, and that was that was
an ultimate boost for our team. Gave us a lot
of momentum and just prout from the guy that comes
to work every day, puts his hard hat on, works hard,
So it couldn't happen to you know, a better person.

Speaker 8 (11:55):
Erica said defensive lineman, how you found the trip to London?
This is for you the first time traveling oversea. I know,
you've played in Mexico with the forty nine ers, but
over in Europe.

Speaker 12 (12:04):
Yeah, actually didn't get a chance to play in that
Mexico game because I was injured. So this was my
first international game series and it was a whole lot
of fun. The people treated us amazingly well here wanted
to win too, but we got one win. Amazing experience.
I had a great time. My family was here and
it was it was a new experience for me in
the NFL kind of break up the menamnia of this

(12:25):
season and playing a foreign country.

Speaker 5 (12:27):
It was amazing.

Speaker 8 (12:28):
Yeah, not just playing a foreign country, but to live
over here essentially for a week.

Speaker 12 (12:32):
I said it when we were at the hotel all week.
It makes it feel like a bowl game, staying at
the hotel, being with your teammates and getting ready for
a game, everyone all together. Definitely, definitely was good for
us to be together for this time.

Speaker 8 (12:44):
Coming up against a rookie quarterback in Drake May it
was only his second game. How did you guys go
about planning that this week? So you look at the
game tape and there's there's only one game that you
had to look at.

Speaker 12 (12:55):
Yeah, yeah, you know, you know the offenses don't change
as much throughout the season, so we kind of had
a good feel for what they wanted to do. Might
mix it up with Drake going in there and changing
things up for him, but all around, they kind of
did what we expected him to do, which was trying
to run the football screen game, try to get him going.
So I felt like we had a good plan.

Speaker 8 (13:16):
And you, as a veteran on this team, you know
you've been there, done it. You've been on a team
that's been a couple of games below five hundred and
made a late playoff push. You know the Jacks are
back to two and five. Now you can get that
momentum going. And what would your message be to the
young guys on this team looking ahead?

Speaker 12 (13:33):
Now, stay locked in, stay motivated, keep pushing, keep going.

Speaker 5 (13:37):
You know you never know.

Speaker 12 (13:37):
Football is crazy, you never know what can happen, so
just keep the fight.

Speaker 8 (13:40):
And then finally, you played here at the home of football,
Wembley Stadium, and last week he played at Tautenham.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
How do the two compare.

Speaker 8 (13:47):
I know that one's grass and one's turf, but for
you as a player, how do they compare? And which
was your favorite?

Speaker 12 (13:53):
This is really cool. You know, Wembley's obviously historic. There's
a a lot of people took that grass and there
in in football and also football, both both football. So
you know, I'm a I'm a soccer fan. You know,
there's a lot of English players that I love. You know,
grew up playing FIFA a lot. Just to take that
field was amazing at him was was amazing as well, too.

(14:15):
Newer stadium really cool, it was, it was it was
a dope experience.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Anthony went in.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
They're talking to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the locker room
after that victory against the New England Patriots, and look,
we've spoken a little bit about the game. We've spoken
a bit about I don't even think we should talk
about Brian Thomas Jr.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Because we do it every single week. I feel like
it's just it's just it's never enough. It's never enough.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
But another touchdown for him, another huge play for him.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
So I think there were a lot How did he
catch that?

Speaker 1 (14:44):
It was an incredibly incredible play and it's one of
those actually it's really good to see live because you
know when you're on the TV, when you're watching it
on the TV, when the camera pans with the ball.
You know, you're trying to keep up with the ball
almost and here you can just see how long that
ball in the air for you look at how you
know in this situation BTJ like has to catch it.

(15:07):
It's you can see what an incredible bit of athleticism really,
you know, you know, more than the speed that he's
traveling at whilst, I mean the hand eye coordination, the speed,
the athleticism, all of it.

Speaker 5 (15:20):
It's mad fastest playing in the league.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
I think falls on record for a long time.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
That eighty five yeard touchdown the other week was the
fastest in like four or five years.

Speaker 5 (15:30):
In the league. Yeah, unbelievable and only one person faster
than him that.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
He wasn't the guy that did the had the fund
return touched down. So I think, you know, again, lots
of positives.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
JP.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
How is it for you being back at Wembley's Stadium?

Speaker 2 (15:43):
If you enjoyed it?

Speaker 9 (15:44):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (15:44):
I love this place.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
I mean this is I tell these guys all the time,
Like on game day today, I walk down Olympic Way
and there's the arch and there's all the Jaguars stuff
and it's like, okay, this is England's national stadium.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
We're in a place where the entire world can watch
the game live anytime zone.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
Pretty much. It's the place to be. I love coming
here every year. I love the roars that come out
of this place eighty six thousand strong today again, and
there's something special about this place every time. It never fails.
And I love coming back here every year. And guess what,
we're coming back for a long time to come.

Speaker 5 (16:21):
Still the new stadium in all out in Jacksonville.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
There's still gonna be a game here every year, no
matter what might be more as they build the stadium
and all that. We'll get the details of that later,
but we'll see that's gonna be.

Speaker 5 (16:34):
It's fun coming here.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Man, something.

Speaker 5 (16:40):
I do see JP on Brightley really.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
I knew it.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
It is special when I'm gonna say, you know, from
a really like selfish perspective, it's special to be sitting
here as well after the game, you know, doing the
you know, doing the podcast, looking at them, sorting out
the field off.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
And last week we were in the basement buzz. Could
not be It could not be more different, you know,
it's amazing.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
I'm gonna give a credit to to the ground staff
here at Wembley. I know Jaguars pull groundskeeper was here
to help out. With a lot of local people here
working on the pitch today and with the way it
rained today in the last few days and held out,
probably been a sloppy track, but they were only a
couple of times I saw guys slip, Like the two
point play, guys slipped down. They should have gone for
two anyway, that point Patriots whatever, that's Jaguars favor. But

(17:26):
I didn't see a lot of that today, so credit
the ground staff. It really turned out well.

Speaker 5 (17:30):
Today.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
I will hear from Jack's defensive tackle Von Hamilton in
a second about his time in London, and will find
out what that favorite food was.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Reese's gagging to find out. Go on, can you get
one more prediction I have?

Speaker 6 (17:43):
I'm going with salted caramel take from Tesco's.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Okay, that's really specific, really specific, pure selfish moment.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
I'm gonna say how amazing it was to be able
to open.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
Up the game and do the crush.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
You were great?

Speaker 5 (17:59):
Yeah, great?

Speaker 2 (18:00):
I did. I did enjoy that. Well, this is what
the last week.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
I had been absolutely seething at JP after last week
pronouncing it incorrectly and actually, I've realized since because I
heard vernon k do it today.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
It's just the way that I think that English people.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Say that if we don't, we don't have that word
for that, you know, syllable almost, I suppose, so it's
always do vow. I heard vernon k do it anyway,
I did pronounce it right, and I was thinking of
you throw out.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
You ruined it for me. It was amazing. Reese did
it last year and I remember you watching it.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
I remember watching you doing it last year and I thought, oh,
that would be pretty amazing to do.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
So I feel kind of happy about that.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
I will you did it better, one of you sounded better,
one of you looked better, and I will leave it
at that.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
But the annoying thing is is I know that Reesa
looked better, So I don't know if I don't know.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
Okay, let's let's head back to my chat with Jacksonville
Jager's offensive tackle to Von Hamilton. Let's find out, amongst
other things, what his favorite food.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Is that he's had over the last few days. Saday sandwiches.
Thanks so much for They're joining till talk today. How's
it going.

Speaker 11 (19:10):
Everything's been going well, We're going really well. We have
some good, good week of practice and I think we're
ready for this game.

Speaker 9 (19:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
How's how's it been been in in London?

Speaker 11 (19:19):
It's been pretty cool. This is my second time coming
over here, and this is my first time come over
for a two weeks, well ten days or so, so
I got to explore a little bit more than the
first time.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
So, yeah, what have you done, because, like you know,
you do get that opportunity to go into the city,
don't you.

Speaker 5 (19:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (19:32):
I went to Borough Market. I tried a lot of
food there was really nice and just kind of just
traveled around that area.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
So yeah, well, you know I said this yesterday when
I was speaking to Lewis Treets on it. For some reason,
we seem to talk more about food in the NFL
on This Day podcast.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
I'll go to ask what you ate at Boro Market.

Speaker 11 (19:48):
I'm gonna tell you my favorite thing.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 11 (19:50):
You know, I was I was a little stand office
a little bit, but I'm gonna I'm gonna go with
the sausage role being my favorite favorite thing I tried
out there.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
It was spectacular. So we're talking a hot sausage room.
Have you ever had it before? No, it was my
first time.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
So did you go into it thinking about I need
to try some British food, I need to try something
a bit different.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Absolutely not.

Speaker 11 (20:12):
Actually, my wife was there earlier and she got there
before me and was kind of walking around checking out
stuff before I got there. I was like, oh, you
got to try this. I'm like, what is it art?

Speaker 2 (20:22):
You'd recommend it? How was it with your wife out
here as well? I'm just ask quite nice.

Speaker 5 (20:27):
It's been great.

Speaker 11 (20:28):
Yeah, my son's out here. You know, I got family
out here. Been able to see them a couple of
times while I've been out here.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
So they tell me about your family. Then about do
you mean they're out here or they're out here anyway?

Speaker 5 (20:36):
No, no, they came out here. Yeah.

Speaker 11 (20:39):
Yeah, they're doing great. You know, my son's exploring a
little bit. He's a younger guy, so he's still trying
to figure out some stuff, but he's been having a
great time. He loves to eat all the new food too,
so he really blends in with us.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Tell me about the atmosphere with the Jackie was at
the moment obviously not the best start to the season.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Just tell me, tell me what it's been like.

Speaker 11 (20:58):
You know, we just got to keep it positive, keep
on working. I think we you know, we're still in
where we want to be. We've still got a lot
of goals coming up, so you know, we're still still
doing pretty well, you know.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
And it's amazing as well that obviously you've got two
games in front of Jacksonville Jaguars fans here in the
UK as well. Tell me what it's like, you know,
apart from apart from the difference in the weather obviously,
tell me what like it's like playing in front of
Jacks fans compared to you know, at the Bank.

Speaker 5 (21:25):
Definitely a lot different.

Speaker 11 (21:26):
You know, you have to see a lot of different
type people out here, and I'm just it's just really
exciting to see people that are cross the way still
excited for football.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
You know.

Speaker 11 (21:35):
You know, this isn't a normal sport out here, but
it's making its way. So it's very different.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Is it like a bit of a surprise way because
I guess you don't really think too much about what
the fan base is going to be like out here
and then you just come and it must be just.

Speaker 11 (21:50):
Like oh right, yeah, there's really no difference as far
as the amount of people or you know, the love
and praise out here, but uh yeah, it's definitely a
different atmosphere for sure.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
Okay, just if you've got one message to Jags fans
in the UK and New Island.

Speaker 11 (22:04):
What would it be, Just Tom that we appreciate him,
you know, I mean, we appreciate our fans, but especially
out here being able to come out and see us.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Man, thank you so much for joining till Talk today.
Devon Hamilton. They're revealing that he's and I'll be completely
upfront you two. You guys have not heard that interview.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
Devon Hamilton's favorite food that he's tried in England sausage.

Speaker 6 (22:24):
Sausage, he said, sausages very different.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
You know, that's very different.

Speaker 5 (22:29):
There's no difference.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Payst No, oh you do. But that's also a different
thing here that's very Christmas related. Pigs in blankets.

Speaker 5 (22:39):
Pigs and bacon, call over like a little hot dog things.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Yeah, in India we call it madras. Let's move on.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
I've heard actually that there was another player that's been
uh that's been trying out is a different restaurants with it, Anton.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
Harrison and Tom Harrison apparently, but he came to try
British food. But instead of going to dependent restaurants, he
went to all the chains, the South American food spot on.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Taco Bell, one tack Bell. You gotta love that English food.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Okay, Well, let's actually hear from a couple of fans
as well, because you know, this is an amazing day
for us to be here. It's an amazing day for
so many Jacksonville Jaguars fans to be able to come
down from all over the countries, come from Ireland, come
from around Europe as well to go see a Jags
game at home. I spoke to Simon and Lou. I
think it's fair to say very pleased after that game. Okay,

(23:35):
so we're literally facing the pitch right now after the
Jacksonville Jaguars win against the New England Patriots. I'm joined
by Simon and Jacks. Fancy, how are you guys feelings.

Speaker 13 (23:45):
I'm over the moon, ecstatic, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Really really happy.

Speaker 9 (23:48):
It's my second NFL game in the UK, second Jacks game,
second win, so I'm definitely happy.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
And will you I mean, it's just nice to get
obviously the w here at the Wembley Stadium, but there
were some really impressive moments.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
I think for the Jaguars as well today.

Speaker 14 (24:03):
Yeah, I think that there has standout one for me
has got to be that kick return.

Speaker 13 (24:08):
That were literally where I was. I was going on,
they're kicking the ball back.

Speaker 14 (24:11):
I started heading towards the bar and I just stood
at the top of the stairs and watched him run
it all the way back and I was just celebrating
with random people next to me.

Speaker 13 (24:19):
It was just the highlight of a day.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
And if it's your second NFL game, I'm assuming that's
the first time you've seen a kick return touchdown.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (24:26):
I mean my first ever NFL game was not even
the Drags, unfortunately, it was the jackson and the Bills
in Jersey, so that was that was an immersive experience,
and then Jags and then Drags again this year.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
But yes, it was great.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
So yeah, you have no you said before we started this,
you have no choice to be a Jacksonville a Jaguars fan.

Speaker 9 (24:46):
No, No, not a choice at all. My I's been
a Jags fan for quite a while now, and I
kind of just was like, yeah, this is your.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
Thing, and then eventually got into it.

Speaker 9 (24:56):
Because he plays for the local American football team. I
kind of had to get interested and know what was happening,
and then this year.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
I'd say, I'm pretty good. I know what's happening.

Speaker 13 (25:05):
She knows what's what. It's good.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
So what other positives would you take out today? Then
do you reckon the time?

Speaker 14 (25:12):
I want to know whether this offense has been all
with your year like this is this has been firing
on all cylinders. I think there's a couple of times
on first down we've not made it, but I've not
been setting my.

Speaker 13 (25:22):
Seat going that's it.

Speaker 3 (25:23):
We've done.

Speaker 14 (25:24):
Like there's been second and third down, we're going, we
have a good chance of making that next down and
we're coming down the field.

Speaker 13 (25:30):
Other than kind of our first drive, we've owned today.
This has been arturf. Our place you.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Mentioned art Turf, I mean we are at Wembley Stadium
home game Jacksonville Jaguars. As you say turf, I mean,
how good is it to be back at Wembley?

Speaker 2 (25:45):
And what do you what do you reckon with the vibe? Oh,
it's so good, so good.

Speaker 13 (25:49):
There was issues for that, they say issues.

Speaker 14 (25:51):
There was a vibe first off where the Patriots were
like this is us and you know the Jackson on
the field, and you heard a lot of noise from
the Patriots, but that didn't last long, but consistently throughout
the day, there's been a rumble of the Douval all
day hearing it, which has been fantastic.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
And where do we go from here? Then? For the
Jag who was in lou second winner of the season.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
What what?

Speaker 2 (26:14):
What's next? Anyways?

Speaker 3 (26:16):
Up?

Speaker 9 (26:16):
I hope so if Bigsby keeps doing what he's doing.
I mean, Lawrence is our boy, but Bigsby.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
We love a bit of tang, don't we. We love
a bit of tang.

Speaker 9 (26:24):
He has blown it out of the world today. Literally,
I was like, it's him again, He's just doing it again,
and it's yeah, as CIS's the atmosphere here. It's only
the third time I've open to Wembley full stop, and
two out the three times if the Jags and the
other times Taylor Swift so.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
And which was the best experience? Okay, don't answer that question.
Thank you so much for joining to talk to hey guys.
Thank Yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
I just think that kind of just proves, doesn't it
that as much as we can be here and we
can talk about how the Jags play and what we
hope to see the Jags do over the next few weeks.
It really is a celebration today, specifically last week. Yeah,
of course, because it's a game, you know, for the
Jaguars to play in the UK. But today is a celebration.
You can see that when you're outside Wembley Stadium as well.

(27:11):
There's no other team that call this their home.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
And do you know what, Jay like, I think a
win makes a massive difference to how the fans are feeling,
But I also think Wembley makes a massive difference. It
feels different, and it feels special and it's it's nice
to be here and yeah, it just feels different and
lovely and I like it.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Man, JP, you're going back to Florida now when you
go back there, JAG's got a win in the books.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Do you think that's gonna you know, give the Jags
fans out in Florida a bit.

Speaker 5 (27:41):
Of pet a bit a lot, I don't know, but
a bit better than losing.

Speaker 4 (27:48):
I'll say that there's a lot of heat on these
guys man the last week, and they've got a big.

Speaker 13 (27:54):
Hold of client out of it.

Speaker 5 (27:55):
Must be klient honest.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
I mean's kind of like they're right there at five hundred. Yeah,
and they're a bunch of games behind the Texans. There
have only been four teams in history to come back
from a one to five star to make the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (28:08):
Nineteen seventy Bengals, twenty fifteen Chiefs, twenty eighteen Colts.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
Twenty twenty Washington football team. Doug Peterson was the offensive
coordinator of that fifteen Chiefs team, and I asked him
this week, you know, what was it about that team?
He's like, well, this Jags team is more talented than
that team was. Alex Smith is a quarterback similar temperament
to Trevor. The wide receivers were older, they had good

(28:34):
pass rushes on defense, but it was just a more
veteran group that was just tired of losing. And they
found a way in Kansas City to rally the troops
in a bunch of games in a row, and circumstances
worked and the ball started rolling.

Speaker 5 (28:47):
Can that happen here? Sure? They're talented enough, they got guys.
This hadn't played well yet they did today.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (28:54):
The Packers are good. Yeah, the Eagles are pretty good.
I mean, the Vikings are great. It's a lot of
tough n so all right, take them one by one,
don't worry about the month ahead, worry about the week ahead.
There'll be a lot of.

Speaker 4 (29:06):
Packers fans in Jacksonville, there are a lot of Packers
fans everywhere. To deal with that and go win the
game and then play well against the Green Bay And
that's the challenge ahead.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Yeah. Yeah, I mean that's the thing, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
That's what we always hear from NFL players, don't way,
It's always week by week, game by game. So let's
move on to Green Bay. As you know, is there
anything that we should be focusing on? Do you think
JP in regards to the Jacksonville jancuous that we should
be concerned about?

Speaker 4 (29:33):
You know, with the Packers, well, I mean their pass
defense was better today, right, I mean earlier in the
game we were like, oh, oh, here we go the problem,
but they didn't really. I mean, they've got two sacks
on May but like even though they were coming back
and stuff. So the pass rush is still for me overall,
I think are concerned moving ahead, They've got to consistently
find a way to get home.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
To the quarterback JP.

Speaker 3 (29:54):
The difference between this week and last week, though, man,
if they can make that another big jump next week again,
that's what that's what they need.

Speaker 4 (30:01):
Yeah, and we'll see who comes back next week. I
mean they had Tyson Campbell out there today. Next week,
I mean Dewey Winger could be coming back, Fier Luik
and at some point could be coming back. Who's in
the lineup then Darnell Savage started it safe today instead
of Antonio Johnson. Does that remain they you know, they
had a cup. They have some guys coming back and
if they have their full allotment, maybe they can start

(30:23):
playing again like they did the first few weeks of
the season on defense.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
But also the attitude change as well. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (30:29):
I mean they had life and pep and energy today. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (30:32):
But like you said, right, I mean big plays and
big moments bring that energy and it goes both ways.
Chicken her egg, right, what comes first? Well, do you
create that energy or is that energy find you and
that carries over? This is the big circle. But they
found it today. They got it done. Jordan Love though,
different animal. Now those guys can play and you're gonna
have to bring a really good.

Speaker 5 (30:52):
Game next week.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
And you know it's always going to be a big
game when it's agreed by pack is resting.

Speaker 6 (30:56):
Yeah, I think following on from what JP was saying,
I think as well, just getting that winning culture back,
just getting a big win, kind of knowing that, you know,
these players aren't stupid, they're not living under a rock.
They're going online, They've got ESPN. While they're in the gym,
they're seeing crazy rumors, crazy trade rumors. You just had

(31:16):
one of your players who I feel like was a
big member of the team in roy Go. Obviously, some
people like I've just lost my guy. You know, they're
human beings as much as they are players, and I
think this win just went like, we're here, we can win.
Building it back up again, let's take away the uncertainty.
I think losing too and flying back would have been

(31:37):
devastating yet almost season over. But I think this is
just flip the card on that and now hopefully we
can build some momentum and start to build this run potentially.
And I'll take the Green Bay. I'll take the Packers
at home. Tough team, but at home, way better than
going to Green Bay. Especially after this week.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
Yeah, especially after this week, mate.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
Yes, I mean a nice little bit of positivity. I
think today, guys, I think this is this is quite nice.
This has been a nice podcast to be out you know,
the sideline here at Wembley Stadium to talk Jags win.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
Couldn't have asked for anything better.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
Especially with you guys. Can I can I just end
with this by saying, can't spell Wembley?

Speaker 5 (32:17):
O W can't spell?

Speaker 12 (32:19):
You know.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
That's good stuff.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
I'm going to the predictions and we'll go all around. Actually,
Reesa get to do a prediction this time as well.
So JP, it was US three last week. We all
got a point, we all get a tick in the
books essentially for that one Jags win. So let's go around.
You want to start, give us a score for the
next week against the Packers.

Speaker 5 (32:39):
Yeah, I'll go.

Speaker 6 (32:44):
Jags win overtime, James win overtime. Yeah, well, I don't
think it's gonna be easy. You'll be super close.

Speaker 2 (32:51):
Is it a cant Or field goal or is it
a touchdown to us Cam Little?

Speaker 3 (32:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (32:55):
Hell you what you're saying? Well, Reese has read my notes.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
Obviously I'm going to go is thirty four to ten
Jags Brian Thomas Junior three touchdowns?

Speaker 6 (33:07):
Just has he changed anyone but the Jags and all
your predictions this season? By the way, it's always Jaggs.
Is just the sport is changing.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
Because I'm a Jags fan. JP ill with.

Speaker 4 (33:17):
Jaguars twenty four the Packers twenty three. I think the
defense does find some more minimumt of this day to day.
At one point, JP, how much you win by? They
don't do an ap ball like in college football. As
our writers voting.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
On reckon, I reckon Jack's go twenty four up.

Speaker 5 (33:36):
Three fine, as long as they have one more counts
under standing going.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
With JP as well. To be fair, I'm going twenty
one to twenty.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
This is going to be a really tight game, really
tough game, I think against the Packers. But momentums a thing, guys.
Mentums are real things. Thank you so much for joining ours, Reese,
JP key, I'll see you next week. Of course, this
is a Shooting Shark production for Jacksonville Jaguar's UK in Ireland.
We will be back next week.
