It's Group Therapy Thursday time!
Dear Ted and Amy,
What is with people not removing their shoes when they walk into someone's house? Isn't that the polite thing to do? During the winter, when they're dragging in slush and snow, our guests don't have any problem removing their shoes at our door. But now that it's nicer, they walk right in and don't think twice about dragging whatever is on the bottom of their shoes into my clean house. I just don't understand why this is not an automatic polite gesture. We have a dog, so I see these people walk on the same grass that my dog pees on and then they proceed to walk into my kitchen. I get tired of asking and some give me kind of an attitude if I do. Are there non shoe households and shoe households or are these guests just being rude?
