When the rhythms of life shift—like they often do in summer—it’s easy to place our hopes in plans and routines. But what happens when plans go off-script?
In tonight’s reflection, Britt Mooney speaks from personal experience about a season full of great intentions—“summer goals” that don't always go as planned. Whether it’s work expectations, family schedules, or personal dreams, our peace often hinges on everything going right. But Isaiah 26:3 gently redirects our trust—not to outcomes, but to the unchanging presence of God.
Real peace doesn’t come from clear calendars or smooth schedules. It comes from steadfast trust in the Father, who never changes even when life does.
This devotional calls us to set our minds not on fleeting outcomes, but on the eternal One who keeps us grounded, even when expectations disappoint.
🙏 Your Nightly Prayer
Heavenly Father,
During a busy season and with the promise of summer plans, help us fix our eyes on you.
Remind us that complete and utter peace can’t come from situations but from your unchanging presence.
Teach us to first rest in you, not our agendas or expectations.
When plans fail or overwhelm us, secure our hearts in Christ and your love.
We choose to remain in your love.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
