The Rapture is the Hook!

WOW! This is a deep one that I didn't expect!

So, I'm currently discipling a Christian who is deep into his Bible. But he feels something is missing. Honestly, I think God sent him to me, and not the other way around. In order to approach him at his level, I have to understand how he is viewing scripture. He has used the words "rightly divided" many times and I've come to understand that his biblical background is rooted in extreme dispensationalism. What I didn't realize is that much of my own teaching was dispensational influenced as well! We differ only by degree. So, as I go down this rabbit hole, I'm seeing the Bible with fresh eyes. 

As we were digging into contradictions discovered in the dispensational view of the bible, the rabbit hole got deeper. Way deeper! We noticed first an issue with the view of the temple and then simply chased deeper eschatological interpretations that opened more contradictions. I'm beginning to think we are seeing one of the deepest deceptions in modern Christian theology. Many listeners will not accept this podcast. I get that, it really is a tough pill to swallow. Come at it with an open mind and please download the supporting document. Ultimately, you need to pick up the Bible. In this podcast, you are really following one person on a journey, and you are seeing what he sees. Today is no exception and I can only end today's podcast with "Wow" ... I didn't expect that!

PS: What does "The Rapture is the Hook" mean? Think about it. What do you remember of all the things you've been taught about end times? The Rapture! Think of all those movies you watched! Left Behind! The Rapture is the hook! What I think I'm slowly discovering is the idea that if you can't imagine it happening in the normal course of events, the interpretation may not make sense. I couldn't quite imagine events like pilots just disappearing from the seat of their plane and the plane consequently falling to its doom actually happening. Now, I don't have to!
