What do you do when God is calling you to revival, but your in an unequally yoked marriage? Maybe your husband doesn't believe, or maybe he's skeptical about faith. I used to hide my Bible when my husband was home. I wouldn't pray out loud or play worship music because I was afraid of confrontation—afraid I might lose him over this.

In this episode, I'm sharing the interview I did on The Heal With God podcast with Heather O'Brien, where the Holy Spirit completely redirected our conversation mid-recording. We ended up talking about something we never planned to discuss: how to carry prophetic authority in your home when you're the only believer.

You'll hear my story of being married to someone who didn't want God in our home, didn't want our kids raised in church, and didn't want to hear worship music. But I stayed. I walked quietly. I listened for God's timing. And now, ten years later, my husband has been baptized—and I got to baptize him.

In this episode, we talk about:

  • Why revival doesn't wait for agreement—it starts with you
  • How your conduct can win over an unbelieving spouse (1 Peter 3:1)
  • The authority God has given every believer to overcome spiritual warfare
  • Practical ways to disciple your children when your spouse isn't on board
  • How to know when to speak and when to stay silent
  • Why making your side of the bed matters more than you think

If you're in an unequally yoked marriage, this episode is for you. There is hope, mama. Revival starts in the home, and it starts with you.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
