Walking and talking my way to insight
Have you ever wondered if drinking is worth all the buzz. If the pros outweigh the cons. If you can drink moderately and what exactly is moderately. Well you're not alone. I am asking those very same questions. And I am on a mission to figure out the answers. Join me on this journey of self discovery and growth. Because its never too late ... to get it right.
Dr. Carrington, my wife, has taught me many things. How to give, how to listen, how to love, how to live. But the best lesson I have learned from her is by watching her push through every obstacle in her way. She doesn't seem to know when to quit. Her tenacity is simply inspirational. And her story needs to be told. So I will tell it.
Have you ever felt a disconnect from your partner? Like you are on an entirely different wave length. And whatever they are trying to tell you, is lost before it can reach your heart. On this walk, I challenged myself to change frequencies. And hear her loud and clear.
Have you ever had your partner tell you that something was wrong with your face. Maybe you had food stuck between your teeth or hair coming out of your nose. Clearly you should have looked in the mirror. But what about when we have a poor outlook or bad attitude. What mirror can we look in when we need a heart adjustment? On my walk today I discovered a great way to see my inner self. And can now work to make adjustments.
One day as I was walking I decided to talk about the problems I was having with my wife. To myself. Out loud! But I noticed that the more I talked, the more I understood her side of the argument. So the next time I went walking I recorded the discussion I had, with myself. Not only did it make the walk less boring, it changed the way I saw the conflict I was having. This was the start ... of Ron's Walk Talks.
