💁🏻 Concept: Jealousy When we speak of God’s jealousy, we’re not referring to petty envy or insecurity. Instead, it is the holy and righteous desire of God to protect what belongs to Him—His glory, His people, and His covenant. God is jealous for His name because it is perfect and worthy of all honor. He is jealous for His people because they are His treasured possession. This divine jealousy is a reflection of His love and justice—it moves Him to act when His name is dishonored or when His people turn to idols.
📖 Bible Readings: Exodus 34:14 (Exodus 20:4-5; Deuteronomy 4:23-24, 5:9, 6:15; Joshua 24:19; Isaiah 48:11; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Ezekiel 36:23; Nahum 1:2; 1 Corinthians 6:15-16)
👨🏻💻 Teachings: 1. God’s jealousy protects His glory. 2. God’s jealousy is for us, not against us. 3. God’s jealousy treasures covenant relationship.
💪🏼 Applications: 1. Devote yourself to God alone. 2. Desire God above family, wealth, and prestige. 3. Demolish all idols and anything that replaces God.

🙏🏼 Prayer: Lord, thank You for being a God who loves with holy passion. Your jealousy is not selfish—it’s pure and protective. You care deeply about Your name and about my heart. Help me not to stray to worthless things, but to give You my full worship. May I live in a way that honors Your glory and reflects Your worth to the world. Purify me from anything that competes for my attention. You alone deserve first place. Be glorified in my thoughts, words, and actions today. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
