The night before leaving the US to start a new life in Thailand, Brock had one more run-in with the sleep paralysis that had plagued him for years. Only this time, something was different. Instead of the familiar feelings of dread and the slow, deliberate sounds of something inching closer, he finally saw what had been stalking him in the dark. As he lay frozen, the figure rose taller than the ceiling, its inhuman features locked onto him as it reached for his feet, forcing Brock to confront the presence he’d spent years trying to ignore.
