The Chronicles of Nephes

Sprawl - Newstone leads their new companions to the location of the blight, where they arrive sometime after the darkening. There they discover an electrified scar in the ground. The companions attempt to mitigate the negative energy in hopes of preventing the spread of it farther into the garden. During their repose, however, the party encounters details that reveal more trouble ahead.

A night of safety results in a reflection on crisis for Fellevaai and introduces a bonding moment with Dixie before the explorers return to the valley in search of Lutu. On the way they meet a former acquaintance of Dixie's from the city of Plac Plac - a mysterious individual in strange company. An exchange of information raises questions regarding interest in the Mind of Aeos as Siff's suspicions are raised.

An ally departs and another arrives. Reunited once more with the colossus Lutu, the explorers venture deeper into the valley toward the ambiguous bridgeway and the entry to Lutu's home dimension of Umult. A battle ensues deep in the valley - more of the terrible echo beasts. As the reality of the dangers ahead settles on the party, so does their resolve to help the colossus complete their goal; to plant the Mind of Aeos at the foot...

The Arc I finale finds the heroes rushing toward the Bridgeway to plant the Mind of Aeos in Umult. An encounter with an unexpected acquaintance, a battle on the bridge, and a step inside a new world leave Nuovarden and the explorers on the cusp on an unknown fate. Will they survive the final push?
