This weekend, my little sister got married and as I watched her step into this sacrament, I couldn’t help but reflect on how marriage and birth mirror one another in God’s design.
Both are thresholds. Both are covenant moments. Both demand trust, surrender, and love poured out.
In this episode, I weave together story, science, and theology to show why birth, like marriage, deserves reverence and intentional preparation. You’ll learn:
How the brain and hormones respond to safety or fear during labor.
Why trauma in birth is so common (and so often ignored).
The profound theological connection between marriage vows and birth as covenant.
Why birth is one of the most powerful ways women participate in God’s creative love.
How healing and redemption are always possible, even after trauma.
If you’re preparing for birth or still carrying the weight of a past experience, this conversation will give you hope, clarity, and a reminder that God wastes nothing - not even the hardest chapters.
