Welcome to a deeply personal episode of The Journey to Becoming. 💛 Today, I’m sharing my story of grief and healing after losing loved ones to suicide — and how, even 14 years later, God is still bringing restoration into my life.
Grief and joy are not opposites. They can coexist. 🌿 While grief is a natural response to deep loss, joy is a supernatural gift that flows from standing firm in God’s Word and His promises. In this episode, I open up about the process of shifting from asking “why” in our pain to asking “what” — What does God say about me? What does His Word reveal about who He is? What healing and purpose does He want to bring through this story?
We’ll talk about: ✨ The power of God to heal even the deepest wounds. ✨ Why we can’t listen to the lies of the enemy in our pain. ✨ How to lean into God’s truth for strength, comfort, and renewal. ✨ Scriptures that remind us that joy and grief can walk hand in hand.
If you’ve walked through the devastating pain of suicide loss, or you’re carrying any kind of grief, this episode will remind you that God has not abandoned you. He is still writing your story, and His restoration is greater than any loss. 🙏
🎧 Tune in now to be encouraged, strengthened, and reminded that even in the darkest valleys, joy is possible when we stand firm on the Word of God.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage
Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
