away quickly, Buddy, going away quickly.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
I can't stand it. I mean, we've been campaigning. Maybe
we just keep campaign We campaign for a long time
for the Dome.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
We got that, got it that.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
We have a new current campaign that we're very passion
about and I actually feel like we're making some progress
on it. And I know it's for the people. You
guys all want that as well. CBD one to three
is a hashtag. I didn't even know that. Did you
know that that's a hashtag?
Speaker 4 (01:09):
I did?
Speaker 2 (01:10):
And then what are we gonna do it?
Speaker 3 (01:11):
But we've been campaigning for this forever, Like this doesn't
make any sense?
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Fall back? Doesn't It feel like it's awful that if
this is all a candidate ran on, I'd be pretty poor.
Doesn't it feel like that just doing permanent daylight savings
time would win you elections? Yeah, i'd vote for get
my vote, Like that's it? Like who needs this darkness?
Speaker 4 (01:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Coming up. I took the boys to school this morning early,
as I always do. The sun was out. Made no
difference in my day. You know it's going to affect
my day when that gets dark in an hour, brother, dude,
and every day.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
For the next.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Today's a second. It's December twenty first when it stopped.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yeah, so the next twenty eight plus the next forty
nine days, every day it's going to get darker earlier.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Do you want to know the one thing that makes
me makes me happy about that? That's almost Christmas? That too.
My dad's birthday is the twenty first, and it's the
shortest day of the year. That pleases me.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
That's nice.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
It's very nice, shortest day of sunset, sunlight of sunlight. Yeah, yeah,
so he can deal with that. Out on the Ponderosa,
we have news. Oh do we a little news on
a Monday? You're right when you want to hear it.
Here is coach Stefanski from the podium from earlier.
Speaker 6 (02:28):
On play calling. I'm gonna have Tommy call the plays
on offense. These are things that I'm always looking at,
what can we do better. I have a ton of
trust and faith in Tommy. He's more than capable, so
excited for him. But bottom line is, we have to
just get better collectively. So that's offense, that's defense, that's
special teams, that's players, that's coaches. So that's our charge,
(02:50):
and that's what we're working hard to do.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
What do we make of this, sir?
Speaker 3 (02:58):
I gotta be honesty. I really don't know what to
necessarily make of it, in the sense that this is
now the second season in a row we've had a
mid season play calling change. I know that, you know,
Kevin in large part got this job from being a
play caller as THEOC in Minnesota and has been the
play caller here. I think that it is It just
says to me, we are willing to try anything and
(03:19):
everything to get this offense going, because by every metric imaginable,
it is one of the worst offenses, if not the worst,
in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
And so when you're in.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
That situation, maybe sometimes it's just like when you're in
it so deep you can't see the forest for the trees.
And so he's going to give you know, Tommy an opportunity.
Who's considered we know that, you know, for example, we
know Mike Rabel was a big fan of Tommy's and
a lot of people were big fans of Tommy's in
that capacity, and so we're going to have to see,
(03:50):
you know, how this plays out.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Now.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
One thing that's better about the situation maybe than last
year was last year the change to Ken Dorsey coincided
with also Jameis Winston's first start, so it wasn't like
you got to see apples to apples. Yeah know, like
this will be okay, this is a different offense with
or it's the same offense but with a different play caller.
What does it look like? How does it change? How
(04:13):
can the Browns be more effective? So you know, if anything,
you're saying, all right, it feels kind of like I'm
throwing my my hands up in the air and I'm
saying it's broken. We got to try whatever it is
to fix it. So this is what we're gonna try.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Yeah, and yeah, very different from a year ago, and
yet it kind of feels similar, right, because the offense
was stuck in the muddy year ago and make this change,
and that one was so different because of Jamis and
what his his fearlessness to throw the ball down the field.
You still suffered more losses than wins. But it's fun.
(04:48):
It's fun to have that to you. Look at the
way Cincinnati lost yesterday. I mean, I'm sure it's not
very fun for them at the moment, but if it's
one of those things, where are you entertained? Yeah? They
I mean, you scored forty two points, so you get
a thrilling touchdown from Flacco well into the fourth quarter
with a minute to go. They obviously they scored too soon.
We can get about it in one thought a little
bit later on. But they've lost the last two games
(05:11):
thirty nine thirty eight and forty seven forty two. But
at least it's fireworks and at least there's some fun
to it. And we just, for whatever reason, we are
just not able to sustain drives and to be offensively
dynamic really much at all. And that's the way it's
been for much of the first half of this season.
It's just been it's been tough, tough sledding. Every week.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
Yeah, no explosives, No, yeah, we have not been dangerous
on offense. In fact, our only explosive plays have come
from you know, quinch On Judkins running the football. That's
been kind of your your biggest source of explosives.
Speaker 7 (05:50):
You know.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
One of the things that they look at is, you know,
when you can track this, this is on NFL dot
com if you look in you know, passing they do,
you know, plays of forty yards or more is a
category pass plays of forty yards or more. So the
Seahawks lead the league with seven of those. There are
(06:10):
two teams in the NFL that have zero, the Browns
and the Jets.
Speaker 5 (06:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
Zero.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Now there's another stat which is just plays of twenty
yards or more the Rams. The Seahawks have thirty four.
They lead the league thirty four apiece, Chiefs, Patriots thirty
two apiece, Chargers, Bears, Packers thirty a piece, and the
Browns are last in the league. They have fourteen.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
So fourteen of twenty or more.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Yeah, our long reception on the years thirty five yards, which.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
As Isaiah want, so when you're looking at kind of
just from just a past game standpoint, Okay, completion percentage
we're second worst in the league. Yards per attempt, we
are worst in the league by a full yard. We
average five yards attempt. Second to last, which is a Titan,
is six. The league leader Seahawks urging nine point five.
(07:03):
The Seahawks are basically averaging twice as many yards per
pass attempt as we are. Then you go into pass yards,
we are second lowest in the league. Jets are the
first lowest. You go to passing touchdowns, we are second
lowest in the league. The Titans are first. You go
to interceptions here, we're actually we're sixth most in the league.
So that's a little bit of that's even better there.
(07:24):
But bottom line is lowest in quarterback rating. We are
lowest in pass plays of twenty yards, lowest in pass
plays of forty yards. That's just that is that's bad.
And so my guess is, we've looked at it. We've
looked at the tape, we've looked at everything. We've you know,
you do the self scouting, you go through it all,
and Kevin Sefanski said, obviously, you know, what I'm not
(07:46):
doing is work. What I'm doing is not working. So
we've got to try something else. I think maybe to
the that's old. You know, the definition of insanity is
trying to do the same thing over and over and
expecting a different result. And so maybe he's saying, let's
let's at least try something different. They're not changing the quarterback,
even though there have been, to be fair, in these stats,
there have been two quarterbacks and then including Joe Flacco.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
All right, I have that for you. You ready for that?
You're ready? Flaco US versus Flacco Bengals.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Can I guess yep?
Speaker 2 (08:14):
How many games?
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Is it a piece?
Speaker 2 (08:15):
I think it's forty four. I think it is. It's
for us, five of them, and it is it's either
three or four of them. I think it's four.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
I thought it was only three.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Hold on, I got it. I'll get it for you.
I was just on it.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
Now he's had.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
All right, it is four four four four four four.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
All right, here's my guess.
Speaker 5 (08:41):
All right.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
You want to start with completions completion percentage? Yep, all right?
Speaker 3 (08:45):
For us, it was like fifty eight, fifty nine.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Nailed it. Fifty eight.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Okay, there, I'm gonna say it's going to be sixty.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
Four sixty five. Yep, nailed it, all right. Yards per
attempt here.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
Per attempt here was either right out or just under six,
like five point.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Eight, five point one here, five point one, oh even lower, okay,
five point one.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
There I'm saying, I'm looking at what strikes me is
about an eight point six.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
That's less seven point two, okay, seven point two touchdown,
but two yards better, two full yards better per touchdowns
with US, was two touchdowns with them.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
I believe it's eleven.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
Yep, eleven to two interceptions, six with US two to two.
He's sixty four percent seven point two in attempt, eleven touchdowns,
two picks. He's thrown for twelve hundred and fifty four
yards and three hundred and thirteen yards a game. Now,
they have the best receiving duo in the in the league.
What's his rating? His rating is one hundred and two
point six, and with US it was like seventy sixty eight.
(09:46):
I get that for you, Net You've been pretty much
on it on all of them, so I'm guessing you're right.
It was actually sixty point.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
Three sixty Okay.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
So that's the apples to apples thing now, as much
as can be, yes, players are I mean, they they
have the best receiving core in the league.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Yes, they do.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
And that's if you watched it all yesterday and you
saw as great as as Chase is. The play that
Higgins makes on the sidelines is just outrageous. And then
the play he makes on the final drive where he
high points it and takes a helmet to the sternum
and chin and holds onto it while being hurt. Yeah,
(10:27):
that's just all pro tough. I mean, they just got dudes,
but they're just slinging it. So this is the thing,
like you you have to find something, you have to
try something. It's the second straight year that we've tried now,
and that's play calling switch.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
It's so hard because he's in our division now, Joe
Flacco is and we are now. It's just it's so okay.
So there can only be two things, right that would
be affecting him. One is talent like around supporting Caste,
(11:01):
and then two has to be scheme. And so we
know the talent is different, and there is a massive
disparity in the talent in the wide receiver room between
Jamar Chase T. Higgins and Yoshavas who's a good player. Yeah,
and what we have at receiver, Like that's that's the
best receiving room.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
That's the best of the league, in the league. I
think it's even better Minnesota.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Yeah, yeah, and you know Philly, when AJ Brown was clicking,
they would be in those conversations and j Brown, DeVante Smith,
DeVante Adams, Pukinakua.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
It's up there too. It's pretty good.
Speaker 5 (11:30):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
Jackson Smith and Jigba and Jackson Smith and Jigba. He's
pretty good. So there also then must be some level
of a scheme component to it. Well, and I think
because he was here, like it's not just Dylan Gabriel
in this offense versus Joe Flack on that offic Joe
Flag was here this.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Year and this is going to seem like piling on.
But the other thing that has to be acknowledged is
he was here all off season or most of it,
right from the draft. He paratrooped into Cincinnati with three
days notice and started. Yeah, like he's learning that on
the fly, like he doesn't. Maybe he's better that way,
you know what I was singing about that watching last night,
Like he should all he should almost be somebody who
(12:10):
stays off a roster in camp. Yeah, and doesn't sign
with a team, and the first team with weapons that
has an injured quarterback, he should paratroop in and play
because I think he can throw it effectively till he's fifty. Yeah,
I really do. Oh there's so like that's almost it
like just just hang out, wait for an injury, paratroop in,
(12:31):
throw it all over the place, have the time of
your life. Win some, lose some. But yeah, I think
that I was watching yesterday, I'm like, God, this is
what he should just be. Just stay off at teams
when there's an injury at quarterback. Yeah, come on down.
So it's a it's a massive change. It's two years
in a row where we've had it. This is after
(12:52):
eight games. Where were we last year when it when
we had the change. I believe it was week seven
a little earlier then.
Speaker 8 (12:58):
Yeah, I'll look okay.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Around this time. It was the first game.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
Was I want to say it was the Ravens game,
which was Jim the gym game. So yeah, so it
goes Cincinnati, We lose twem fourteen. Deshaun gets hurt in
that game, and then the next game is Jamis and
Dorsey calling the plays and we win and we're like, oh, man, Okay,
this is working. You know, jamis through for I think yeah,
(13:28):
three thirty four three touchdowns and they're like, all right
now we're cooking. And then the very next week we
lose twenty seven to ten to the Charters at home.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Yeah, we'll play it for you. We'll have Stefanski's full
press efforts coming up here. Shortly during the open part
of practice the media day, No shoud or Sanders still
being held out with the back Carson Sweeshinger or Isaiah Bond,
So all of those guys are no goes today. There
was an injury designation positive. Cedric Tillman returned to practice.
(13:58):
The club is also least safety Demante CAZy on that side.
Tilman appeared in the first four games this season, eleven
receptions one hundred and one yards two touchdowns. The hamstring
injury was against Detroit. He was placed on IR in
September thirtieth, so he will be active this week. We
will play his presser for you at the end of
the program.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
What's in you know again? Cedar Tillman hasn't played since
September and is still tied for the team lead and
with two receiving touchdowns. Yeah, he's got two. Fannin's got to,
the Joker's got to and Dylan Samson has one, which
was in garbage time against the Baltimore Ravens.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Yeah, yeah, I mean it's it's certainly been a struggle.
And then we have this, we have the trade deadline,
which is tomorrow at four.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Yeah, and you wonder, like, so we see Jalen Phillips
goes to the Eagles so far, but that's really kind
of all that there's been.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
I know, Schefter's like big things are going to happen.
Really quiet, it's been really quiet.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Well, and he reported yesterday that the Browns would be buyers. Yeah,
that's interesting to me.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Well, one thing about our I mean, like our ownership
has proven this, like if there is talent to be
acquired and then extended, we'll do it. Yeah, Like if
we can make the team better, the hassles will make
the team better. And if they think a player can
make the team better, then the football brain trust goes
to them and says, hey, we think this can help
them make the team better. Then they're not shy. Yeah,
(15:36):
they'll they'll acquire players. We saw that with Amri, we
saw it with Jerry, Like they'll do that. You go
acquire people that and especially ones with high ceilings. So
I you know that that we'll see, we'll see where
all this shakes out. But it's tomorrow. It's twenty five
hours from now, yeah, is when it's going to come.
So there you go on that. How'd you do this weekend?
(15:56):
How'd you do on Halloween? You have a nice little Halloween?
The little man? Do you ever not smile? So we
did like the permanent smile on that.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
So you know, Kayla is a big fan of the
photos and whatnot, so we did like family photos and
it was very funny. He didn't smile at all in
any of these, like really a real one, but he
was just kind of like we didn't. There was just
too much going on. So he's looking around, so he wasn't.
But no, he's usually and then as soon as we
were done and put him back in the car seat,
all smiles, all smiles.
Speaker 9 (16:24):
Baby.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
Yeah, Well he's happy. He had a great time. I
told her, I said, it's very funny like our you know,
we weren't getting any candy and he didn't. Obviously weren't
getting candy for him. He's too young for the candy.
So it's basically like our trick or treating was us
walking around being like, look at our baby, which I
said to Kayla, I'm like, which is actually kind of funny.
Now we only went to a couple of houses of
people that we knew to something they wanted to see him,
but I still thought it was hilarious. So basically we're like,
(16:48):
any cute and tell us he's cute.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
It's a great costume. Does he look great?
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Yeah? Is he great? Great? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (16:52):
What were your what were your boys?
Speaker 10 (16:54):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (16:55):
We had NBC last run at it, so eighth grade,
so this is his last. This was his last last
trick or treat, So I think we mean, I think
they're done. I think they're done. So they this was it,
and then they were all like, yeah, I think we
don't think we're gonna do it again. And I thought
that's part. I think I quit somewhere sixth grade.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
But then they still dressed up and go to like
Halloween parties.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Yeah, probably that's probably the next phase. But as you'll
evolve into the next the next phase of it, him
and all of his buddies were I think they were
like why too or NBA two K guys with like
the jerseys on backwards and the tat sleeves and all
that is that like my player thing. It must be
not in that world either. Beams and his boys were
(17:35):
all sharks, like the Katy Perry sharks, like six giant sharks.
And then Bootsy and his buddy Harry were Elmo and
Cookie Monster. So so they did that.
Speaker 4 (17:46):
Which was which was?
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Which one was? Which one was? Boots he was Elmo? Yeah,
which it's kinds because the big snack guy, so he was,
he was big that. Yeah. He actually wrote a note
on his candy, Paxton's candy. Do not touch's his note,
So naturally I'll hide it. Good, keep him on his toes.
How about you, Pepa.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
I saw were doing some work with some saying he
was you were you were an excavating.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Box, you were you were getting in there.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
It was a lot going on this weekend. At one
point I was like, maybe maybe going back to work,
isn't it after the bye week. We're not going on
vacation anywhere. Maybe I should just stay and work in there.
He just hide from everything.
Speaker 8 (18:30):
No, it was good.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
I mean he's a little guy's three, so I mean,
you know, the the building that my daughter and her
husband live in. They do like something for the kids
from like five to six on Friday. So like, and
you just put a sign on your door. I think
you know there's six stories or whatever. There might have
been ten or twelve places. Yeah, because it's five o'clock
(18:53):
people are still working. Yeah, so you know it was
the perfect amount he got done. He's like, I want
all the cane. I would bet you do.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
I tried.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
I gave him like two pieces, and my wife's like,
what in the hell are you doing. I go, I'm
hopping him up and then then we're leaving. It's not
my problem, that's right.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
Let the boy live, Let the boy watch.
Speaker 4 (19:15):
I put through the pace.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
He's probably. Yeah, I think it's four when they start
to fully comprehend what's in play. I mean, that's really
when you're that's he's at the beginning of the first
day folloween, the first following it's a great one. It's like,
wait a second to give us.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
Is that the same with Christmas? Because I felt like
last year, I mean last year he was two for Christmas.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
I feel like this is you're gonna get a big
Christmas pop this year. And then it's going to be
that way.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
Yeah, A lot of it was good man. We you know,
it was nice just to get get some time away,
Like I I closed my laptop on I had to
send something out Thursday morning. Yeah, but that was it
until this morning and that that was fantastic.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
Yeah, that was nice. What did you guys find yourselves
consuming for entertainment over the last three days NFL?
Speaker 3 (20:08):
Obviously on Sunday it was great to watch. Didn't need
to watch much of the Sunday night game. As Sam
Darnold put on, is that not the best half that
anybody's ever had in football? And a first has to
be in a first time I could see in a
second half or somebody had to throw a time.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
He was actually thought they blew it by not by
not letting him throw another ball at the end of
the half. Like they blew it. They called they had
run off instead of just taking the time out with
thirteen seconds, because I feel like he would have thrown
a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
Probably it was sixteen of sixteen for two something three scores.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
It's a remarkable it's a remarkable, I think, cautionary tale
for the league. Like him baked Daniel Jones all these
guys like, we had a rough Sunday. He did, he did,
but he's had a spectacular season.
Speaker 10 (20:50):
Absolutely, what what what a player is at twenty two
versus what a player can be at twenty eight under
the right stewardship is arkable because the way Donald played yesterday,
I mean, you can't play the position better.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
I mean he looked like anybody who's the greatest of
all time, throwing the ball everywhere, and it wasn't it
wasn't like it was all like layups, like they just
every throw was on the money, on the screws. He'd
duck like that and spun it. I was like, jeez,
where's this? I mean, we're how did people miss on?
I mean, this guy bounced around Man Carolina and at
the same time both then he goes to where San
(21:30):
Francisco and then Minnesota and then so it's like that
quarterback rehabilitation watch the same thing's gonna happen with Mac Jones.
It's like you go to those guys and they teach you,
They teach quarterbacks how to be quarterbacks.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
And then Jones to bake was with McVeigh, Danny Dimes
with was with O'Connell and Donald was with uh Kyle,
and he's with both Yeah, yeah, O'Connell, yeah, Mac Jones. Dude,
sign me up right now.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
He looks good.
Speaker 3 (22:03):
This isn't the draft. He's plenty young enough. He could
be your guy for forever. Yeah, sign me up right now.
Danny Dimes was somebody we talked about on this program.
People were screaming about that. Now obviously did not have
a great game yesterday yins the Steelers, but he's been
excellent all year. But yes, sign me up, dude, sign
me up.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
I would if you would have asked me the last
time we did a live show, which was Wednesday, if
you were to ask me what I would have watched
the most of the weekend aside from Ohio State football
along way down the list would have been what it
actually was. But it was actually the World Series, dude.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
I watched to the last out the last.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Both Friday and Saturday. I couldn't not watch it. The
games were outrageous. What Yamamoto did at the end of
it was just stupefying. That he pitched on Friday and
then came back and pitched two and a third.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
Did he start on Friday? That's right, Yeah, he started
one hundred pitches.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
That's just under ninety.
Speaker 5 (23:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
The home run at the top of the ninth on Saturday.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
I got you went and hit a home run since
like August or something like that.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
The ball getting trapped under the fence, that costume probably
costume it. The play at the plate that is a
millisecond from being safe.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
Millise amazing toe tap. But it was oh yeah, as
bang bang as could be.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
As can be if the throw is anywhere else, if anything,
it's game over. And then to go to the bottom
of the eleventh. Any hit Blue Jays win, any hit
Blue Jays win, except one on the ground a short
and Mookie Betts turned it himself. Well, they would have tied, right, Well,
(23:48):
I mean a hits you're running, you're you got a
guy it was first, a double, would want a double,
would have wanted it. I mean anything in one.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
And Vlad gets a double to start you. But the third,
so you got a guy in third with one out, yeah,
you just gotta get him home.
Speaker 5 (24:04):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Crazy They walked the guy to first, right, I think
they did. Yeah, I mean it was something in the morning, so.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
I smart, yeah, but I was like, why would you
walk them? Put the go ahead, because maybe get a.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Double play, double play to get out of it.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
Gets it just happened like six to three unassisted.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
Twenty six million people watched it, So that now I
don't think it'll mean anything for next year. It doesn't
mean anything. Baseball's back. What it means is though, that
we still have an appetite for sports and the water
cooler of sports, that there is still nothing in entertainment
quite like the drama that sports provides.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
No, and and we have an appetite for game sevens.
This is it, this is.
Speaker 4 (24:52):
Or even just elimination games.
Speaker 5 (24:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
Yeah, it was Friday.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
It was on at the bar.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
I'm like, all right, right man, somebody could win the
world right here is yes, yeah, yeah, great, Yeah, that's
what people have.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
That's Baseball's biggest problem, I.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Think is that one hundred and sixty two games like
you can't how can you care about Game five, Game eighty,
Game ninety four? How can you care?
Speaker 5 (25:23):
Now?
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Could end up mattering. I guess you know if you said,
oh well, if you didn't when but it's just hard.
But baseball, when every pitch matters, baseball is as good
as sport as there is.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
Baseball and hockey and I get the World Cup, you
know you have to go to penalty kicks. But baseball
and hockey, like hockey in the postseason, you play until
someone has one more goal than you. Yep, and it
can last seven overtimes if it wants to. Baseball is
the same way. You have got to get the three
outs in the bottom of the inning.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
Yes, you've got to retire twenty seven or or.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
Yeah, like there's no there's no get out of jail
free card kicks, run hitting the home runs, we're not
there's no time to play against It can go on forever.
Like I was sitting there Saturday night, going like, I
don't know how much longer I can stay up, Like
it was two hours past when I normally go to bed.
I'm like, it was great.
Speaker 4 (26:11):
Days earlier.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Yeah, they had Yeah, it was funny too. Like I've said,
I said many times, and I have fun with you
over the fact that I grew up a Dodgers fan,
but I was rooting for Toronto. I really was just
it's David and Goliath. They're not exactly David. I think
they have the sixth payroll, so they're not exactly David.
They're Basically, if the Indians spent, they're the Blue Jays
is kind of what it is. But like also like
(26:33):
that's the most that's as cursed as any sports city.
I mean, they won with the Raptors, but the Maple Leafs.
The thing they care about most is the sixties early sixties,
and the Blue Jays haven it once since ninety three, right,
And it felt like, I mean I thought about like
the Guardians in sixteen, and I thought about, like, when
(26:53):
you have a Game seven at your place, what more
could you want?
Speaker 3 (26:59):
Like you have to win, and you know that's not
a cheap get in. Oh there's a lot of a
lot of people oponent up a lot of cash to
be there and ripped up because the game they lost
six and seven they did, Yeah yeah you're coming home
up three to two.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Yeah yeah, yeah, you go up.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
I want to say in game six, then they go
three to nothing. But Shed hit a three run homer
off of Otani.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
Like early, that's game game seven.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
That was game seven seven, Game seven, Okay, he.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Hit the ball.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
They're like you're thinking in baseball in a playoffs game,
You're like.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Yeah, it's over, it's over. Yeah, yep, And it held
and it held, and it held, and every time Otani
or somebody'd come up, you'd be like, is this the one?
And then it didn't. And then then the idea that
Glassnow and Yamamoto both pitched both days. It is crazy,
It is great and I love this. I thought it
was really cool though, that it delivered those numbers, like,
(27:52):
because that's what it should be.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
I want to see where it was in Canada. That's
what they're saying, the screens. So you think it's gonna
beat that.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
I don't think it'll beat that, but I think it'll be.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
That was sixty of screens in Canada.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
We're on the Golden Game.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
Yeah, huh twenty ten, you had that it might be.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
That it might beat that.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
I was going to say, I think it could, especially
given like are you counting digital?
Speaker 2 (28:19):
Yeah, it's a Saturday night that well, that hockey was
Sunday night, if memory, So that's a bigger one. It
was the first Game seven of a World Series since
the thirties. Because they used to always do these on Sundays.
Game sevens would be in Sundays, but they want to
stay away from the NFL, so they did it Friday
Saturday instead. Which was smart. But yeah, and then the yeah.
(28:39):
I had a buddy of mine was in the Blue
Jackets press box on Saturday. He said, that's all the
Canadian folks could talk about, Like the Blue Jackets were
playing at home, and he was like, all anybody cared
about was the Blue Jays game. Just thinks they lost. Yeah,
it does, it does, and they had it, I mean
like many many ways had it. So but it was.
It was incredible theater.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
Very how does that ball not just pop off the wall?
Speaker 2 (29:03):
If that does, it's a it's it. I mean it's done.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
That's the stupid fie.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
And well, by the way, by the way, the catch
in center field, we didn't even talk about that in
the bottom of the ninth that he subbed the guy
in at center and he goes over the top of
him to make the catch with two outs.
Speaker 11 (29:17):
All right, So I was at novad photos on his knees,
going well, because well, first of all, he runs in,
he runs the other guy over, who basically like puts
his head on it, like he's like, oh, there's no
way he got it.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
Yeah, we just collided and we just lost the World Series.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
Bottom of the ninth incredible, that crazy catch, So that
guy had just so I was right. So he was
just subbed in.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
He was subbed in for his arm strength. Because of
his he could throw guys home from outfield home, so
they subbed him in. And then he's the one who
made the catch.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
I mean, dude, they got a home run from probably
the most improbable guy on in the batting order when
they needed.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
It had to well. And then the catcher hits the
game winning home run. Yeah, in the top of the
eleventh what ends up being the game winning home runs?
Speaker 8 (30:08):
Unreal?
Speaker 2 (30:08):
And then for it to come to one swing with
one out.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
And did I see something that the guy Will Smith.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
That's not right, it's not right. No, he has not
one three with the Dodgers, but he has won six straight. No,
there must be another guy with the same name. Maybe, yeah,
there's guys with the same name that have Will Will
Smith has won sixth straight, but not the same person,
not the same little Smith. But the other guy plays
for the Braves and the Astros. I think, yeah something, yeah, yeah,
(30:34):
so a Will Smith is won six straight, well, the
same Wilson.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
I would want to have a Will Smith on my roster.
Find the fresh print mea Will Smith.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
Just don't say anything about Jada Pinkett or fine.
Speaker 4 (30:44):
By the way, can I also throw it in because
you just casually touched on it. You have a pretty
good squad down in Columbus.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
Yeah, yeah they did. Yeah, they're good.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
A little test in the first half, maybe just a
little maybe a little something just to wake up the
giant and then.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
I almost like conspiracy bow wonders if they like ran
the ball just to create a circumstance. Well, he had
to play, they had to play under something because it's
seventeen to seven, Julian saying, didn't miss at all.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
Correct.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
By the way, they're playing Penn State. Like, I know
Penn State has struggled this year, but Penn State is
the second most talented team they've played other than Texas.
They have a bunch of guys are gonna get picked high.
They've got a bunch of NFL players. Like they're not bums.
It was treated like, I mean, ohistate treated them like bums.
But the kid. The kid went twenty to twenty three
for three hundred and thirteen yards and four touchdowns after
(31:41):
throwing for three ninety. He's completing the last two weeks.
He has more touchdown passes than incompletions. He's over eighty
percent on the year, a full seven percent completion percentage
better than Mendoza, who's second. And then the difference between
him and Mendoza is the difference between Mendoza the guy
who's like sixty fifth. Like his separation is crazy. Was
on this week too? You had good sourcing. I did
(32:04):
have good sourcing, very good sourcing. Yeah, yeah, no, they're
it was.
Speaker 4 (32:08):
It was pretty awesome.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Here's what sucks for them though, Like the next three
They've got Purdue, grow U c l A, Rutgers, So.
Speaker 4 (32:16):
UCLA is a night game. At least it is NBC.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Yeah, but it'll all be about that Michigan game at
the end of the year. I'm not saying anything. I
can't after last.
Speaker 3 (32:26):
Year college football, Nate's here to say it.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
I can't. I'm not gonna be I'm not saying any.
Speaker 4 (32:30):
Don't worry about it.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
It was too.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
Did you see my favorite highlight? One of them just
most absurd clips. Barcel just tweeted it out, which made
me think about a kid in a high school game.
I'm thinking it's a high school game goes up for
a wide open breakaway dunk misses it and then pretends
that he's hurt.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
And then college this I think it happened this morning.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
Was that in college?
Speaker 2 (32:50):
Going twenty four back? Twenty four hours, but you got
twenty four We were watching Who's you get here?
Speaker 3 (32:54):
Like the college this morning?
Speaker 2 (32:56):
It was college this morning, if memory serves it, goes
up on a breakaway dunk miss is it.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
And then the whole crowd comes out and trolls him
and is lying on the ground pretending.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
Yeah that video. Yes, yeah, I think that happened this morning.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
That's unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (33:09):
Yeah, it's just did you get thrown out of a game?
Speaker 2 (33:12):
That was another thing that I think I heard happened
this morning. That because he's like working for Saint Bonavent.
Speaker 4 (33:17):
Yeah, he's their GM.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
Somebody said that it didn't. I saw tube. This is
how great x is now one that said he did,
and the next post said no, he did not, but
who knows?
Speaker 5 (33:25):
Who knows? Uh?
Speaker 4 (33:25):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (33:26):
Also we have this. This is from the guy who
covers the Cowboys from the Athletic Jerry Jones on Serious
XM just said Dallas has made a trade and could
possibly make a couple more before tomorrow's deadline. He declined
to share who was involved in trade. He said, quote immediately,
it will have him on the field, and it will
address some of the things that have been our shortcomings
end quote.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
Defensive player.
Speaker 4 (33:45):
Then they played tonight.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
They do.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
So this was a This was a college Dillard and Lemoyne.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
I believe.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
So yeah, oh god, I can't stop watching this. It's
so great.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
Yeah, I believe.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
Have you seen this, g man?
Speaker 4 (33:59):
We I don't think we've seen that.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
He misses the donk, he pretends to get hurt, and
then the people in the crowd start pouring out of
the stands to mock him. Over here. Look and they're
all grabbing their legs, lying on the ground, hurt, making
fun of them. I'd have to imagine that's the opposing fans.
It's just the announcers can't even control themselves. It's so funny,
Like you got like one hundred people limping on the
(34:26):
It's just outraged. It's complete people lying on the ground
trying to help each other up. It's total bedlam. Yeah,
it's great. I mean, we don't want a time to
be alive.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
We'll get out of here on this. His team gave
up nearly half a hundred they needed to tackle on
one drive to.
Speaker 5 (34:48):
Win a game.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
Al Golden just finishing his press conference zone in Cincinnati,
the defensive coordinator of the Bengals, resisting the temptation to
install layer after layer. That's not who we are right now. Brother?
Why they ever get rid of lou An Arumo, Because
if you can't, you gotta fire somebody first before you
can fire yourself.
Speaker 5 (35:05):
Right.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
That's a tough cat of fire, that is.
Speaker 2 (35:08):

Speaker 8 (35:59):
Okay, good work out there for the guys.
Speaker 6 (36:02):
Got some two minute situations, had a seven on seven
down in the red zone, had some install periods to
work on things we identified over the bye week. So
I thought the guy's handled today really well. Obviously off
tomorrow and then we'll start in Earnest on the Jets
on Wednesday. I thought it was a really good bye
week for everybody. I thought the players did a nice
job obviously taking care of their bodies getting back here refreshed, recharged. Coaches,
(36:27):
I thought did a really nice job over these last
few days of looking at everything we're doing offensively, defensively,
special team. So we've identified a lot of things that
we want to do better, a lot of areas where
we feel like we can improve, areas where we feel
like we can adapt. And that's where having this after
eight games is important. Where you can learn a lot
(36:48):
from yourself and then get ready for a nine game season.
Obviously with first one coming up versus Jets. Other thing
on play calling, I'm gonna have Tommy call the plays
on offense. These are things that I'm always looking at,
what can we do better. I have a ton of
trust and faith in Tommy. He's more than capable, so
(37:08):
excited for him. But bottom line is, we have to
just get better collectively. So that's offense, that's defense, that's
special teams, that's players, that's coaches. So that's our charge
and that's what we're working hard to do. And with that,
I'll take any questions.
Speaker 12 (37:21):
I had that decision Kevin to turnover play calling.
Speaker 6 (37:25):
Yeah, I look at everything, Jeff every week. Certainly the
bye week gives you an opportunity to look at everything.
And bottom line is, we have to be better. We
have to be better, and a lot of facets on
the offensive side. And I just felt like Tommy is
somebody that I believe in. Obviously hired him here a
couple of years back because I really believe in Tommy
(37:45):
as a coach, and he's done everything that we've asked,
and I just feel like this is the right time
for this.
Speaker 13 (37:51):
I think he might bring to the table or what
different spin or set of eyes.
Speaker 1 (37:55):
Might he give you.
Speaker 6 (37:57):
Well, it's similar to how we talk about you know,
it's never about one person. So whether it's you're talking
about a player or a coach, it's not about one person.
But obviously I think Tommy's gonna be himself and that's
what you know I'm asking him to do, and I'll
be there every step of the way to help him
in any way I can, like like you should with
any play caller. But bottom line is he understands what
(38:21):
we need to do, which is stay on the field
and score some points.
Speaker 13 (38:26):
Steers are downstairs.
Speaker 8 (38:27):
Yeah, we haven't talked through it exactly.
Speaker 14 (38:28):
Yet, only change your semaking or quarterback remain the same
for this game. Yes, one of the Patriots game, Reese
talked about how you got to make Gabriel comfortable to
throw the ball downfield, and yet it's got worse in the.
Speaker 4 (38:46):
New England game.
Speaker 2 (38:46):
So what's the problem.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
Why can't he throw the ball to receivers wide receivers.
Speaker 6 (38:53):
I'd say that's something Tony that we just have to
be better collectively. That's us putting our quarterback in positions
where those opportunities exist. That's us putting our receivers in
positions where that they can be open, whether it's down
the field, intermediate, you name it. That's something that we
all need to be better.
Speaker 5 (39:11):
Looking at everything and other changes? Are there other.
Speaker 6 (39:13):
Changes that you're going to make, specifically to personnel would
be the first thing. I think it's our job to
make sure when it comes to personnel. Obviously, just making
sure everybody's in the right place at the right time,
so to speak. Scott, But nothing of notable to comment
on right now, Tommy.
Speaker 15 (39:31):
I guess how can cause you guys have the same playbook, right,
so how can that changes?
Speaker 5 (39:36):
They're going to be more X round or you know
what I mean?
Speaker 6 (39:39):
Yeah, I think the bigger picture for us is, as
we looked at this week, what do we feel like
we can do well, what are the things that we
need to lean into. What are the things that we
haven't been very good at and we need to move
on from those areas. And there's plenty of football to
your point about the playbook, there's plenty of plays. We
just got to make sure that we're leaning into the
stuff that's fits our players.
Speaker 9 (40:02):
This last year. Also, what did what did you gain
from that experience that you know you can use this
year and what what what's.
Speaker 5 (40:11):
You know kind of different this time around.
Speaker 6 (40:14):
Yeah, I'm so focused on this season and where we
are Scott scuse m Chris, and I'm just trying to
do whatever I think is best for our football team
in this case.
Speaker 8 (40:23):
And but I'm really focused on.
Speaker 13 (40:25):
This year decision.
Speaker 12 (40:27):
Yes, twenty one day plot center, tell me today just
how close is Hee and just what did you see
from him?
Speaker 8 (40:37):
Yeah? I thought said looks really good.
Speaker 6 (40:39):
I think he's worked very hard in his rehab, so
he looks like he'll be good to go, barring any
you know anything.
Speaker 8 (40:45):
Coming up this week is the update on or he
was not out there. Yeah, still dealing with the back injury,
but getting better. Trade deadline obviously coming up tomorrow two
and six on the season sometimes created some you know,
different things in locker rooms and conversations and outside noises.
Speaker 13 (41:03):
Do you even have to have conversations at all with
the team about that, or it's just kind of like
a business as usual.
Speaker 6 (41:07):
I really believe our guys are professionals. There's a lot
of that goes on in the business of football that
we don't control, so we kind of keep our focus
on what's in front of us, mind being.
Speaker 13 (41:20):
The in season spokesperson for the team, like without Andrew
coming out to talk to us. A lot was made
of that over the bye week that you know, maybe
too much was put on you to explain trades or
moves or things like that.
Speaker 5 (41:30):
How do you feel about that?
Speaker 9 (41:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (41:31):
I don't mind.
Speaker 5 (41:34):
Was Isaiah bond to practice.
Speaker 8 (41:36):
Dealing with an injury? But I'll update you guys as
week goes on.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
One year?
Speaker 8 (41:42):
Yes, yeah, Dave, Yes, how'd you miss him? Tony?
Speaker 16 (41:52):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (41:52):
Do you do you think this receiving corporate? You've produced
the trade deadline here?
Speaker 8 (41:58):
Yeah? I like our guys.
Speaker 6 (42:00):
I like what what uh the skill sets we have
with that group obviously, Andrew and and our personal department
looks at everything, and that's no different than the other
thirty one teams. I think it's important that you're constantly
looking around the league and uh.
Speaker 8 (42:14):
But I like our guys in that group.
Speaker 9 (42:17):
From maybe what you're seeing in meetings in practice to
to to game days.
Speaker 6 (42:22):
We just, I mean kind of goes back to the
previous point where we just need to be better. Chris
in a bunch of different areas, obviously, Uh, that there's
production that that we're going to be looking for from
that department.
Speaker 8 (42:34):
Uh, but we have to be better in a lot
of areas set.
Speaker 3 (42:37):
Out there like can help open things up for Jerry,
like us during.
Speaker 8 (42:40):
This having set out through with him obviously said's a
good player.
Speaker 6 (42:43):
He's made a lot of plays for us over his career,
so it would be a big boost if we can
get him out there.
Speaker 14 (42:50):
Watson been clear practice shop.
Speaker 6 (42:53):
Yeah, I don't believe that that's happening this week or
but no update, but doing a good.
Speaker 15 (42:59):
Job back together this week, Kevin, after they're gone from
Buy Big, what's your message right you're two and sixty,
had nine games left, deserve an overriding message you had.
Speaker 6 (43:10):
For Yeah, obviously keep a lot of that you know, internal,
but it's as you know, it's important that we focus
on what's in front of us and have a great
opportunity this week going to New York and trying to
play our best football. We have not played our best
football and that's haven't done it as as as players,
as coaches, offense, defense, special teams. We feel like there's
(43:32):
more for us to give, and that's where we're focused
on right now.
Speaker 13 (43:36):
Tommy are so closely aligned and it worked so closely
together on everything, setting up the game.
Speaker 15 (43:40):
Plans and everything.
Speaker 13 (43:41):
I mean, do you think that that I guess that
he will have the confidence to put his own spin on.
Speaker 6 (43:48):
This confidence without a doubt. And I think it's it's
important Mary Kay, that those meetings and the discussion that
happens Monday through Saturday as as important as the order
in which those players come off on Sunday. So I
just think all of us as as coaches on all,
you know, all sides of the ball button this case, offense,
(44:09):
we have to do our job. We have to do
our job putting our guys in positions to succeed, and
and then it's you know, an opportunity on Sundays to
go execute. But I think it's very important what we
do during the week and putting a plan together that
our guys are confident, and that that's really important.
Speaker 12 (44:26):
I understand what you have to like to defend your
own roster, but when you see what Joe Flaggo is
doing down there in Cincinnati, you're not watching the game,
throwing touchdown passes all over the field to chase and
what what do you what do you think when you
(44:47):
comput those numbers up with the receivers you have here.
Speaker 6 (44:50):
Yeah, I don't really have a comment on Joe or
any players on other teams, so I don't think it's appropriate.
Speaker 5 (44:56):
The results are so contrast.
Speaker 8 (44:58):
Yeah, I understand the but I really don't have a comment.
Speaker 13 (45:02):
Any ways. Anything different that you can do to try
to get Jerry Judy more involved in.
Speaker 6 (45:08):
Your life, without a doubt, And that's obviously like we
talked about last week, Mary Kay, that's important for us.
Speaker 8 (45:13):
He's our best wide receiver. We believe in him. We
have to do a better job and that's what we'll do.
Speaker 5 (45:20):
Salt Clinchohn out there.
Speaker 9 (45:22):
Do you feel confident the shoulder won't be I feel
good about it.
Speaker 5 (45:27):
And Tyson clear of the protocol.
Speaker 6 (45:31):
Yeah, he's I don't know if he's completely clear, but
he's hit every benchmark.
Speaker 2 (45:36):

Speaker 8 (46:20):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (46:21):
What a weekend in the National Football League From an
injury standpoint, the one last night with Jayden Daniels, the
dislocated elbow, the game, I have no idea, And I
saw Dan Quinn today saying it's my fault. He shouldn't
have been in the game at that point. No kidding,
he shouldn't have been in the game at that point.
I'll be candid with you. I had turned it off
at that point. I was I didn't need to see
(46:42):
some more. So I saw the squashed it are you
watching it?
Speaker 4 (46:45):
I figured he was probably done after that series. I mean,
when do you when do most quarterbacks get pulled? Like
six minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 2 (46:54):
Yeah, it's fair.
Speaker 4 (46:56):
Going down the field, I'm like, he's going to score
a touchdown. They're going to be like that's it. You're
done for the day. We're not coming back and winning this. Yeah,
I don't. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (47:06):
I think I think I'm with you. Give from the
standpoint of in with the advantage of hindsight, you can
say well, of course, but also he was coming off
of injury. He needed to get some reps, and he
needed to play more likesty. And it is rare for
NFL quarterbacks to like not play fourth quarters. Like it's
not college like college football, they'll do that. They'll just
(47:27):
pull guys.
Speaker 4 (47:28):
He's a competitor.
Speaker 2 (47:29):
Usually in the NFL. You keep going a little bit.
It's just bad luck.
Speaker 4 (47:32):
I mean, if anything, you should be looking around at
your wide receiver room. That is, Yeah, what do you mean?
Speaker 14 (47:38):
I heard?
Speaker 2 (47:38):
All they do is give Terry McLaurin a bunch of money.
Was all the money?
Speaker 4 (47:40):
That's right elite By the way, that guy is stolen money.
There should be wanted posters with his picture up there.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
That was as gorgeous as you can do. Uniforms, it's
pretty nice.
Speaker 3 (47:54):
The Seahawks need to just commies.
Speaker 2 (47:56):
The commis in the in the foe backs and then
the Seahawk in those things. That is just they pop
even more now than they did when we were kids
like they didn't stand out when we were kids. Now
they do like that. That color combination is just absolutely gorgeous.
And that Seahawks team is an absolute machine. The Green
Bay Packers were a machine, but this is a massive
(48:18):
injury for them. Tuckercraft, who has been one of the
stories so far this season. He has done for the
year with a torn ACL. They have losses to US
and Carolina. They got a tie with Dallas. They are
five two and one, and now they lose their most
consistent weapon in the past game.
Speaker 3 (48:34):
They should get Jaden Reid back though, which hopefully will
be help helpful for them.
Speaker 2 (48:39):
He had been their leading.
Speaker 3 (48:41):
Receiver each of the last two years seven ninety three
and eight as a rookie, eight fifty seven and six
sixteen yards at catch last year and in one game
basically this year, a touchdown. He should be back I
think this week. But yeah, that is that's.
Speaker 2 (48:53):
Big, that's massive. He'd been a stud. Couple others. Marshawn Lattimore,
Cleveland kid, former Buckeye torn ACL in the game yesterday
as well, and then we also had Luke McCaffrey breaking
his collar bone, so there was a lot of injuries
in the game games Over the weekend, It's been pretty
quiet on the trade front. A couple from Philly Baltimore
sending cornerback jay r Alexander into twenty twenty seven seventh
(49:16):
to Philly in exchange for the twenty twenty six sixth.
The Eagles also acquired outside linebacker Jalen Phillips in a
trade with the Miami Dolphins. They're going to receive a
twenty twenty six third round pick in the deal. I
was just looking at this. Philly still has their one,
their two, and two threes that they so they could
be big time players. Yeah, hell yeah, you know tomorrow
if they if they want to.
Speaker 4 (49:36):
I don't know they I mean, they had the Mechi
trade on the day that we were wrapping up on Wednesday,
But like I feel like they just they still need
some help offensively. Yeah, they're shoring up the defense, but
I don't know if the defense is the problem.
Speaker 2 (49:54):
I don't think they have really any problems, to be fair.
The one thing I saw this from Rossini. You have
this in the prep too. The Bengals are asking for
a first round pick and any deal for Trey Hendrickson.
He's leaving anyway. Yep. It's like, you're not getting a one.
Speaker 3 (50:09):
So you should try to get a two because the
best you're going to get as a pick after the
end of the third.
Speaker 2 (50:13):
Yeah, you're not getting a You're not getting a one
for a for a rental. I didn't understand. I don't
understand that from Cincinnati's perspective at all. A couple other
things since last we've done a show. Mike McDaniels still
coaching the Dolphins, Chris Greers out as a general manager there.
The Dolphins are willing to listen to offers on any
(50:34):
of their players ahead of the trade deadline, but in
the words of one well placed source, highly unlikely that
they will trade receiver Jalen Waddle. No kidding, He's under contract.
He's a stud young wide receiver. You've already extended him.
Why would you trade him? Right, Why would you trade him?
It doesn't make any sense. Whatever you going to do offense, well,
you'd want him to.
Speaker 3 (50:50):
Be in same with like what people are talking about.
And maybe the Saints will trade a Lavee, But to me,
it doesn't make any sense that why would you trade
a Lavee? You want your Whenever you had a quarterback
in there. You want him to have Chris Alave on
the team.
Speaker 8 (51:03):
Chris A.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
Lave is twenty five years old. Why would you know?
What are we doing? Like, look at Tennessee what happens
when you draft a quarterback number one you have nobody
to throw to. Yeah, this is what happens. That's what's
happened to them. ESPN's Dan Garziana reporting are good, buddy
that which running backs co available? Sounds like the Jets
will hold on to Breece Hall unless the return is
(51:25):
good enough to justify a move. Cleveland's Jerome Ford and
Miami's Jalen Wright are likely available. So those are some
of the names that you see around here. I don't know,
it's been so quiet. Really, it's compared to what we thought,
you know, kind of what Chefty was talking about about
a month ago when he thought it could be the
most busy trade deadline that they've had. So we'll see
(51:47):
where all of those things shake out. Second hour of

You remember that game? I think we're all old enough.
I don't know if our next guest is old enough,
but there was a game that was really fun that
worked on learning called where in the World Is Carmen
san Diego?
Speaker 3 (52:41):
I loved for a normal comes Where in the world
is Carvion san Diego?
Speaker 2 (52:46):
You can do the same thing, except just for a
place Carmen san Diego with the haff Where in the
world is? It doesn't really rhyme, but I believe he's
joining us. Now do we have the Hoff? Where are
you Hoff? Can you just can you even disclose?
Speaker 7 (53:03):
Gentlemen?
Speaker 4 (53:04):
Can you hear me? All right? Boys?
Speaker 7 (53:11):
The true joy of being able to talk to you
guys today in an unexpected moment gives me more than
pure joy. I don't know what one is more than
pure joy. I'm not sure. But I'm in Las Vegas.
I am shooting a movie right now with some people
that I've recently met that are call themselves actors. And
we had a little break on set, and so I
hit up my guy Gibbe, and I said, hey, let's
(53:33):
do this. We got the Monday. It was not a
losing weekend, so I've got my Hall of Fame Beef
Victory Monday hat on. Although it's technically not a victory,
but I feel like, you know, we didn't lose, So
we got.
Speaker 5 (53:44):
All a little bit on this Monday.
Speaker 3 (53:45):
And I'm wearing the hoodie that's sweeping the nation, the
Hall of Fame Beef Springs Farms Beautiful hoodie. I'm wearing
that one today.
Speaker 2 (53:53):
How about that looks good?
Speaker 7 (53:56):
It has fast become my favorite hoodie and I am
a stick or for comfort. I don't really share what
it looks like, but it does look good. But it's
an unbelievably stop It's it's actually I'm kind of a
maybe a weird, but when I sleep, I like putting
a sweatshirt on with the hood over my head because
I keep my room at like fifty degrees just about.
It's like Eskimo's style and uh, the most comfortable.
Speaker 5 (54:19):
Oh okay, go.
Speaker 2 (54:24):
Ahead, I didn't see it.
Speaker 3 (54:26):
Go ahead, you just cleep in a hoodie every night.
Speaker 7 (54:30):
I sleep in a hoodie's But you know that hall
of theme be footy that you're talking about, that retro
beautiful style. That comfort is a thin hoodie right, and
it's yea, it is begging, but it fits you nicely
like pajamas. And so I love sleeping in a very
very cold room and just throwing that hood over my
head and over my eyes. It just gives me a
different level of deep sleep. And you know, as a
(54:51):
little bit of a health nut, I track my sleep
all the time and the uh, the sleep numbers. So
I'll give you too, nerdy are off the charts. When
I wear that hoodieo my head and I sleep in
a super cold environment, I mean I am getting some
of the most RESTful sleep, like after a good victory,
you know that that type of good sleep.
Speaker 2 (55:08):
So it's is Annie and Canada. What is going on?
Speaker 3 (55:12):
That's the quite you think?
Speaker 2 (55:13):
She and Montclair like, what does she have?
Speaker 3 (55:15):
See degrees in there?
Speaker 7 (55:18):
It's pretty pretty chilly she's in Canada, goose. She's also
got like a five inch down comforter like pulled up
over her head.
Speaker 4 (55:24):
I go with thin.
Speaker 7 (55:25):
Covers hoodie just uneasy you know on the bottom. But
then I also have a cooling mattress. I don't know
if you guys ever heard of this. I'm very bougie
when it comes to my sleeping.
Speaker 16 (55:34):
But sleep, as you said, yeah, I mean sleeping is
really important actually, you know, without getting like too scientific,
but we're talking about like CTE and brain injuries and
dimension things long term.
Speaker 7 (55:46):
Like sleep is the time of day when your body
heals itself, but it also gets that plaque out of
your brain. So it's really important to like be serious
about your sleep when you can. And so, like I
have this cooling mattress, so it keeps my mattress fit
about like sixty seven because it pumps cold water through there.
And then like if your body drop temperature drops too much,
(56:07):
it'll change and like heat up the water a little bit.
So kind of regulates your body temperature from your mattress
up so you never get too hot or too cold.
It's really it's amazing what they could do these days
with size. It's just incredible.
Speaker 3 (56:18):
Hold on a second, this is you do not have
this set up at Turkey Camp.
Speaker 7 (56:23):
No, But I honestly I've been thinking about it. I
think because if you remember the last year Turkey Camp, sure.
Speaker 3 (56:29):
Less you're going to sleep in a tent that blew away.
Speaker 7 (56:33):
Blew away, and I supped up a floor in my truck.
So there are times, but I don't exactly sleep in
the most commodious locations. But when I had the chance,
I really try to boos it up.
Speaker 3 (56:44):
I'm just going to tell you this right now, and
I think that everybody who goes to a camp would
say the same. Of all the people that need to
be in a comfortable bed that night, you as the host,
you get that. We all get to come and just
have fun. And it's great and there's food and Joey
Bagel's there and cooking up a suite of the chefs.
I mean, it's first class all around. Everybody brings like
(57:06):
a little some contributes here and there. But I mean,
you should be sleeping in a truck at your house
when there's thirty beds.
Speaker 7 (57:14):
See, I think of a great guest, or excuse me,
a great host, like being a great leader or captain,
Like you need to be the one that does the
stuff that nobody else is willing to do to show
them that, like, look, this is the way it is,
and I can do that. I'm going to do the
hardest stuff. And when you're a good host, you're going
to take all precautions to make sure that your guests
(57:36):
have the most amazing time. And I am happy to
have the worst accommodations to eat last in line, to
be the last person to get all the good stuff.
So if giving all my guests that have blown from
all over the country to come in for this wonderful
weekend of brotherhood means that I got to sleep on
the floor or the back of my truck for a
few hours, I am more than okay with that. As
long as everybody else is having a fantastic time.
Speaker 2 (57:58):
Everybody's having a great time.
Speaker 3 (58:00):
I also believe that after meeting some of your buddies,
there are plenty of them that would have been happy
to just go sleep in the pod like they would
have been like, maybe don't.
Speaker 2 (58:08):
Want to care where they were sleeping. These are true wilderbles.
Speaker 7 (58:10):
That's why. Yeah, that's why they're my buddies though, because
they're willing to do whatever they wants, but you know,
I want them to also, you know, just be able
to go above and beyond whatever their expectations were. So
they are expecting to sleep in the fifty degree pod
and all of a sudden they have a bed. Like
imagine the joy in their face.
Speaker 8 (58:26):
It was.
Speaker 2 (58:27):
It was great.
Speaker 5 (58:27):
Ham.
Speaker 2 (58:28):
Let me just say this, This is my little message
to the audience. So you heard the Hoff and all
of the processes, each snap at left tacky, and it
netted a gold jacket. He also has the following things
that he takes this approach to that we've heard on
this show.
Speaker 4 (58:45):
That we know.
Speaker 2 (58:45):
Pillows, we know that coffee, we know that wine, we
know that espresso. Martinez, I think at one point there
was a time that you had a curiosity, oh coffee
makers the coffee maker, which I have now, and that
was off the Hoff. If he puts this type of
attention to detail, I'm getting there. If he puts this
type of attention to detail to everything, just imagine what
(59:08):
he's doing with Hall of Fame beef folks. Folks, I
think that's we've tasted. I mean, that's why, like this
man knows nothing other than the relentless pursuit of perfection.
Speaker 3 (59:18):
Working out. I mean all it does, and.
Speaker 2 (59:20):
It's all of it now. Acting we're probably going to win. Acting,
We're probably gonna win an Oscar Hoff.
Speaker 5 (59:26):
Boys.
Speaker 7 (59:27):
I try to live a Hall of Fame life, and
that's not just on the football field, that is every
walk of life. And Zee and I we've had a
few taste testings of some of the other high end
wagu and I think we're already beating them. But I'm
not resting until this is the greatest woggu beef, the
greatest Hall of Fame beef that man has ever been
able to taste, even going back to the caveman era.
(59:49):
It is so much fun. I actually I sent I
am doing that movie. I sent you guys a couple
of clips. I know you guys are on air, but
from Michele Baby did yesterday that go check him out.
Not for public consumption just yet, but they had me
killing some some bad guys, which is kind of fun.
Speaker 3 (01:00:06):
Let's go, that's right, of course.
Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
Did you watch football this weekend?
Speaker 8 (01:00:09):
Huff I did.
Speaker 7 (01:00:12):
Catch a little bit on Sunday. Unfortunately I was on
set for a lot of it, and so I didn't
see many of the games. I did see that what
sixty eight yard field goal from Jacksonville. That was pretty unbelievable,
Cam Little. I mean, some cravy stuff every weekend in
the NFL. That's why it's the centertainment products in the world.
Speaker 3 (01:00:32):
It most certainly is. Obviously in Wisconsin. I can't imagine
they're too pleased with what happened yesterday. You're in Vegas,
not your problem. But they weren't happy in Vegas either.
But obviously for the Packers, tough loss at home yesterday
and those those uniform doesn't translate the leather helly, I think.
Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
If you're going to do it, I don't know why
they didn't wear it against Pittsburgh. Yeah, they both like
the nineteen thirties, it looked ridiculous. Having one team looked
like from the nineteen twenty the contemporary modern looked ridiculous. Yeah,
I agree with that.
Speaker 7 (01:00:59):
That predicts I agree. That was one of the games
I did touch some of because I FaceTime the kids
when they were watching the game, and Uh, that's the
first thing my son Jack said, He goes, Dad, did
you see these Packers uniforms? They look stupid? And I
got a little because I remember when where them were
in the throwbacks when I was a kid, but packed
like in the nineties when I was a big Packer fan,
I always thought there was like a throwback weekend. So
(01:01:21):
both teams wore it, so when you turn it on,
it didn't just was like one people were bozos that
forgot their uniforms and just like in the equipment truck,
so I agree, like the Panther's uniform looked sharp, and
then the Packers, I think it just looked out of place.
Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
Yeah, they did, and their performance looked out of place.
It was all.
Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
Right, you've been in there.
Speaker 3 (01:01:45):
There's some news here with the Cleveland Browns. Obviously today
Kevin Sefancy giving up play calling. Tommy Reese will call
play second season in a row. That that this has happened.
My question to you is what it like from a
player standpoint? What does this mean and what should it
mean for us, you know, paying attention to it.
Speaker 7 (01:02:06):
Well, I think just getting some new eyes on the
defenses that you're going against, some new tendencies that maybe
the defense isn't so diled in on, because you know,
if you look back, like one of the things that
Kevin Sistanski was praised for earlier on in his tenure
here with the Browns was he was such an offensive
mastermind right just called great plays and always had a
(01:02:28):
really game plan specific scheme that was fantastic that always
it seemed to like, beat whatever the expectations were for
the talent that they had on the roster. But obviously
things are not going very well right now, and they're
trying to figure out why. And I think it makes
sense to turn over every rock and to make changes.
Even if you have a guy like Stefanski who has
been a good play call in the past, Let's give
(01:02:50):
somebody else an opportunity and see maybe he fits better
with the talent that they have on the roster right now.
And I think anytime you're going through a season with
a lot of strung and a lot of losses, right
you just need to keep making changes to keep things
a little bit fresh and give yourself an opportunity to
try to motivate the boys, right because it's difficult to
come in even if you have some great robrass speech
(01:03:11):
and you put, you know, some great game play on
the board, if everything's always the same, the players are
the same, the play callers are the same. The scheme
is the same to get people excited to think all
of a sudden, yeah, okay, it's going to be different
this weekend. And I think part of that, you know,
for for the players is you look across the league
and you see Joe Flacko having great success and you know,
throwing for four billion yards yesterday, career high, I believe,
(01:03:34):
and we're wondering, well, why wasn't he doing it here?
And so I think you know, players, they've watched the
other games throughout the league and they are asking themselves
the same question. And so as a head coach, the
battle is always the same where you're trying to think, okay,
what one of the things that I can do to
motivate my players? And that doesn't always mean, you know,
a great new brock nvaa speech. Some benefits making changes
within the offense, making changes within the structure of you
(01:03:57):
know who's responsible for what. Whether it be like, okay,
this guy's in charge of third downs, this guy's in
charge of coming up with our runs games, this guy's
in charge of the one actually on game day because
they're calling the plays and calling the plays is it's
much more art than it is science, and so I
think it really makes sense at this point in the season,
especially with Dylan Gabriel, you know, struggling a little bit
(01:04:19):
in the last few games, and a lot of calls
from the outside and maybe even from the players wondering like, hey,
when is shud Or Sanders going to get his opportunity?
And so I think from the Brown standpoint, they're probably thinking, Okay,
let's give Dylan Gabriel an opportunity with Tommy Reese and
see if they say Mesh and He's able to get
a little bit more out of Dylan before we potentially
make a switch at quarterback and give shud Or Sanders
(01:04:41):
an opportunity to show what he has. So I think
it's a logical switch, especially coming out of the bye week,
especially at a time when a lot of people were wondering, hey,
maybe with the bye week they're going to give shad
Or Sanders his opportunity to start because you got those
two weeks, which is traditionally what a lot of NFL
teams do when you go through that bye week and
you're ready to make a change to a younger quarterback
a little bit more time to prep. But I think
(01:05:02):
moving over to Tommy Reese right now out of the
bye week, it's Tommy a little bit more opportunity to
kind of study and meet with Dylan and kind of
craft what they feel like could be the best game
plan for Dylan in the offense, that is this version
of the Cleveland Browns offense.
Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
If there are eight AFC teams over five hundred currently,
as we kind of are at the midway point of
the season, there's eight, they're eight games eight teams, it's
half half the AFC is over over five hundred. But
then the next team next best record in the AFC
is two games under five hundred, and so what we're
seeing here is this a pretty big separation between haves
(01:05:42):
and have nots in the AFC. The reason I bring
this up is the trade deadline is tomorrow at four.
We were told that this would be a very active
trade deadline by Adam Schefter. So far, it's been pretty quiet.
Do you anticipate that changing in the next twenty four hours.
Speaker 7 (01:05:58):
I do think it's going to change. And typically with
the trade deadline, there's a lot of potential deals in
place where they're kind of quabbling about. The swabbling about
like some of the little details here and there, and
maybe it feels like it's a fair trade, but you know,
maybe the GM needs to talk with the owner and
get permission to make the deal done, and the owner
(01:06:20):
wants to sleep on it. And so I think, really
that deadline, that hard deadline that comes tomorrow afternoon, is
that one where it really forces people's hand to make
that decision. And I do think that there's going to
be a lot of teams that are close to five
hundred that are able to sell to themselves, hey, we're
one player away from being able to make the playoffs
and make a run, so let's maybe give up a
(01:06:42):
little bit more than we normally would, which feels like,
you know, more value, we've given them what we're getting.
But the fit of this player we're able to get,
fits that niche, that little hole that we have that
we feel if we're able to cover that hole up
with a good quality player, we're able to make a
little run and make this season special. And so that's
why I think when you have a lot of teams
(01:07:02):
kind of close to that five hundred mark and you
don't really have anybody just pulling away. In most of
the conferences, or in either a conference or in most
of the divisions, there's really a much stronger desire from
the teams to try to get deals done. And then
you look there there are quite a few bottom feeder teams,
you know, with the Jets obviously, the Browns, Tennessee Titans,
(01:07:23):
Vegas Raiders, you got the Giants. I mean, there's quite
a few teams, Saints, quite a few teams that are
pretty much out of it right now that are looking
into future seasons that are looking to gather some future assets,
whether that be younger players or draft choices, and they've
got some maybe older guys that they don't feel like
are going to be part of their team in two
(01:07:44):
or three years, when they feel like that's their opportunity
to start making a run.
Speaker 3 (01:07:49):
If you were running the Browns right now, how would
you approach this trade deadline?
Speaker 7 (01:07:56):
Well, honestly, you're looking at a team that's not.
Speaker 5 (01:07:59):
Very good right now.
Speaker 7 (01:08:00):
They don't have their answer at quarterback. They do have
two first round choices next season, and so I think
they're probably thinking that, Okay, once you get your quarterback,
assuming it's not on the team right now, and it's
a guy that we're going to draft in the draft
next year. They're thinking that, you know, your window is
probably two to three years away, because I think Drake
(01:08:21):
May is the perfect example. When he first got to
start in New England, he did well, but there was
ups and downs. That's what happens when you have a
rookie quarterback, even a guy that now is looking like
he could be one of the great quarterbacks in the
NFL moving forward. And so I think it's it's pretty
realistic to think that if you've got some aging vets
that have maybe bigger contracts that might not be around
(01:08:41):
or might not be in their prime anymore two or
three years, and you can get great value for him
right now, it makes sense to make those moves.
Speaker 3 (01:08:50):
Yeah, we'll see.
Speaker 4 (01:08:52):
I want.
Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
I thought there's gonna be a lot more fireworks, to
be honest with you, I thought that there was going
to be there were gonna be a lot of trades
because you know, the Browns were one of the teams
that worked with the league to get this trade. The
headline pushed back so tim it could be you know,
more involved, probably should be pushed back even another week
to be honest, and then see what happens. But yeh,
so far it's been pretty pretty quiet out there, huh.
But it sounds like the most actions going down in
(01:09:13):
Las Vegas on the set with the hop.
Speaker 7 (01:09:17):
There's a lot of action, man. I couldn't believe that
there was I think fifteen guns in the last seed
that we had last night, which finished at like twelve thirty,
the Russian mob, the Italian mob, the Chinese mob, and
then the FBI, which I'm an FBI agent, and it
was a big process and everyone was just lasting away
at each other. It was actually pretty unerting. I can't
wait to see what it looks like when they put
(01:09:37):
it all together.
Speaker 2 (01:09:39):
All right, So your favorite action acting performance of all
time is what?
Speaker 12 (01:09:45):
Man?
Speaker 7 (01:09:46):
Oh Man, that's a tough one. Well. Saving Private Ryan
is kind of like my all time favorite movie, So
Tom Hanks in that movie. I don't know if that
really considered it counts as like an because it's more
of like a war, but I feel like that's I mean,
that's my all time favorite. You can tell me if
(01:10:06):
that doesn't count.
Speaker 2 (01:10:07):
But something else, the D Day scene off the Top
is as good as anything that's ever been filmed. I mean,
the invasion in the way that they show it. The
reason I ask is, I don't know what's stopping you
from being the next Arnold Schwarzenegger. Yeah, like, why can't
you do Commando? Why can't you do Predator? What is
stopped now? That's a little before your time? Maybe, I
(01:10:29):
don't know if you're familiar with.
Speaker 3 (01:10:31):
Already boys with the Rocket, being a friend with the.
Speaker 2 (01:10:33):
Rock already, Like, what is stopping you from from running
back Predator in Commando right now?
Speaker 6 (01:10:42):
Well?
Speaker 7 (01:10:42):
I know you know, you're always getting your tires pumped
a little bit when you're on set because they want
you to be confident everything. And the director told me
after last night, he's like, man, we were watching the film.
He's like, there's no reason you can't be the next
John Cena or all the other guy said. I can't remember,
but I was like, everything, but I got some work
(01:11:04):
to do here, story like ten lines. But I think
when I think about Schwartzeneger, I think, man, I think
I had some unbelievable movies. I mean, The Terminator that's
got to be up there is one of the great
wrote down.
Speaker 3 (01:11:21):
And running Man.
Speaker 2 (01:11:23):
And running Man to me.
Speaker 3 (01:11:24):
Is what a film. I can't believe they're remaking it's
just not necessarily.
Speaker 2 (01:11:28):
All he's doing in Commando is just annihilating things for
ninety minutes. Like that's you, Hoff, you need to run
back Commando tonight. I think you need to run it back.
I think you could do it. I think you could
do it. I think it's right in your wheelhouse.
Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
He definitely, at the minimum should be one of the
the guys in the Running Man that you know, like
sub zero more like playing zero. He should be one
of those guys.
Speaker 2 (01:11:55):
Oh yeah, but I think he could be Ben Richards.
Speaker 3 (01:11:58):
He has been Richards of course. Yeah, yeah, I think
it's implayed Richards.
Speaker 7 (01:12:03):
I love the cone En quote if I could do
that ever, you know, to prush your enemy, see them
driven before you and hear the lamentation of their women.
Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
Yes, what a big Conando? All right, haf And when
then you're going to Are you going to Berlin?
Speaker 7 (01:12:22):
Yeah? Flying right from here to Berlin on Wednesday to dude.
The NFL game over there, Which that's always fun being
back home in Germany seeing Frans being on the sideline
of an NFL game, And turns out might be a
pretty interesting game.
Speaker 2 (01:12:34):
Actually, is it Indy? Who's it? It's Indian who Atlanta,
Indy Atlanta right off.
Speaker 3 (01:12:41):
Yeah, Yeah, that's a good one.
Speaker 2 (01:12:43):
That's a fun game. That's a fun game. Well, we
thank you for joining us on on set. Uh and
look forward to I can just see it a year
from now you're on location.
Speaker 7 (01:12:52):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:12:52):
I believe they shot Commando in No Predator is So
that would work out very nice and you could be
quite famili like the rock.
Speaker 12 (01:13:04):
That.
Speaker 2 (01:13:04):
Yeah, and then hoff Hoff can play the Jesse the body.
Speaker 3 (01:13:07):
Of course he'd be Jesse the Body.
Speaker 2 (01:13:09):
It's ready set up. Let's go.
Speaker 3 (01:13:13):
All right, we'll talk to you soon, buddyf Love you brother.
Speaker 7 (01:13:16):
All right, guys, love you guys. To take care.
Speaker 3 (01:13:19):
There is the great to the Academy Awards.
Speaker 2 (01:13:23):
It's right there for him. It's all right there for him.

Hello gibbe II.
Speaker 4 (01:14:18):
Let's get right down to it, gentlemen, Week number nine.
If you say so, No, that's nine. I wrote it
down wrong, that's right. Accountability. Uh, Thursday Night football is
how we started things and because we haven't been on Jesus. Uh,
that's right. Yeah, that's right. Let me refresh your memory.
(01:14:40):
Ravens twenty eight, Dolphins six. Nathan Sakara one thought.
Speaker 3 (01:14:48):
This, like college football, need has been pretty spot on.
The Ravens are gonna win this division. And I know
that the Steelers had a very nice win and that's wonderful,
But the Ravens are gonna end up winning this division.
They're back, they are talented. Three and five. They're the
scariest three and five team maybe in NFL history. They
got Lamar back. He looked through what four touchdowns? He's
throwing a touchdown on a twelve percent of his passes.
(01:15:14):
So basically one of every eight passes he's thrown the
season has ended up being a touchdown. He's quarterback rating
on the year is one hundred and thirty six point seven.
He's played five games, folks, He's thrown fourteen touchdowns and
one pick.
Speaker 5 (01:15:26):
It's crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:15:27):
I mean, just think about that. Fourteen touchdowns and one
pick and he's done that in five games.
Speaker 2 (01:15:34):
I really don't think that they are going to be
an underdog the rest of the year. It could be
at green Bay, depending on what green Bay is playing
for second to last week, but the rest of the way,
they'll be favored in every game they play. We won't
I know, we'll guess the scores later, so I won't
give it to you, but they are favored this week
at Minnesota. Oh yeah, So like this is they are
(01:15:54):
going to be expected to win every game the rest
of the way.
Speaker 3 (01:15:56):
By the way, you know what somebody pointed out to
me and guess the scores, and I've gone back and
looked at this and it seems right, is that Vegas
is out of the push game.
Speaker 2 (01:16:06):
You and I talked about that.
Speaker 3 (01:16:08):
Rest of the scores have a hook. So I'm gonna
just only guess full numbers. Gives me two hooks. When
I'm guessing hooks, don't never.
Speaker 2 (01:16:14):
Guess a hook. No, You and I talked about that,
not as succinctly as that, but around about like everything
was used to be seven or six. Now it's six
and a half, seven and a half. Used to be three,
and now it's three and a half. Sometimes you get
to pick them. Now it's one and a half. Yeah,
it's all always has Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:16:32):
Up next, we moved to the SEC games. Great judge
in the early window. The Chicago Bears are five and three,
the Cincinnati Bengals are three and six. Bengals lose to
the Bears forty seven forty two.
Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
Bow Bishop one thought, I don't understand how this can
happen twice two weeks in a row to them. And
like they fired Louenroumo, and I believe we said when
they fired him, it's not like you forgot how to
coach defense. They brought in Al Golden. It's been an
unmitigated disaster. And here's the crazy thing. This isn't even
a burrow thing. Like Flacco's playing lights out, eleven touchdowns,
(01:17:08):
two picks, over three hundred yards a game, twelve hundred yards.
He's basically giving them their Joe Burrow experience and it's
still not enough. And that is just an incredible you
blew it boy on their end.
Speaker 3 (01:17:22):
Cincinnati Bengals when scoring thirty eight or more points over
the last three seasons are one and four. Everybody who
isn't the Bengals is eighty seven six and two during
that span. The Bengals is a franchise. Last three seasons
(01:17:42):
when scoring thirty eight or more are one and four.
Their first fifty six seasons in existence, they were fifty
four and four when they scored thirty eight points. Bengals
are now the first team to score thirty eight plus
in back to back games and lose both since the
nineteen sixty six New York Giants. Happy for Joe Flaco. Obviously,
that goes without saying. I will say, though, I thought
(01:18:05):
perhaps one of the most impressive passes thrown in this
game was thrown by Cole Kmet. They ran a trick
play where it was ultimately ruled in complete. Roman Dunesey
dropped it where Comet motioned in have you seen this play?
He motions in under center, takes the snap, pitches it
(01:18:26):
to Caleb Williams, who goes left, throws it back to Comet,
who then, like Afrey, pitches it, peels off to the
right and then he throws a left handed rocket twenty yards.
I missed it to a Dunza who drops it. It
looks like he catched it, caught it, but then he
went down to the ground. He must have dropped it, but
it was it was stunning. It was really a stunning
play also in this game. Nice to see finally cole
(01:18:51):
Ston Lovelin. Oh, you drafted this guy before Tyler Warren.
You draft him in the first round. You haven't let
him make any plays at all this year, and it
was nice to see him actually get involved.
Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
And if you were listening last week, we said watch
out for Kylemanung guy because he was great at Rutgers.
He had to carry a lot of the things there.
And then they gave him the full plate yesterday and he.
Speaker 3 (01:19:11):
Went nuts twenty.
Speaker 2 (01:19:13):
He's a stud. He's a stud back.
Speaker 4 (01:19:16):
Next up around the AFC North we go the Squealers
take down the Colts twenty seven to twenty. Pittspuke reunion.
Ben was there every the whole team was there from
the last Super Bowl Championship. Pittsburgh maintains their lead in
the AFC Norris Division. There in five and three, the
Colts only their second loss of the year.
Speaker 2 (01:19:40):
Bob Bishop was Pittsburgh peepot just weeping in your Nacho's watch,
Just so emotional watching all of that reunion in Pittsburgh.
The only person who looks at me like that is
my wife who has that type of vitriol.
Speaker 4 (01:19:55):
We go, You're welcome.
Speaker 2 (01:19:57):
It's a weird game, I mean. And he turned it
over what did you say? Six times in this game?
They only ran it for fifty five yard just in
three yards of carry the thing. That's crazy. So Pittsburgh's
wins it twenty seven to twenty because of those six turnovers.
DK Metcalf had two catches for six yards yep in
this game. Yep, and they still won. So very strange,
(01:20:19):
strange result and a strange game over.
Speaker 3 (01:20:21):
There, very strange game. Yeah, that was a weird one
in which.
Speaker 2 (01:20:25):
One point seven yards of carry. Pittsburgh is a team.
Speaker 3 (01:20:28):
They've won two games have the Pittsburgh Steelers this year,
which I think is pretty stunning. They've won two games
this year, one in New England twenty one to fourteen
and this one twenty seven to twenty. Both games they
won those by exactly seven points. And in those games,
the other team turned ball over five times in New
England and six times here and they still only won
by seven points.
Speaker 4 (01:20:49):
Yeah, next up, guys, uhs a girl, I'll have you
take this one. Vikings twenty seven, Leones twenty four, Minnesota
four and four. On the ear, Detroit drops to five
and three.
Speaker 3 (01:21:04):
I thought it was a huge number, and I thought
it was going to be a backdoor situation. Wow, this
is one of the more surprising results I thought of
the weekend. McCarthy was solid, ran one in threw two
of them. Didn't ask him to do a lot fourteen
to twenty five, one forty three, but he certainly did enough.
(01:21:25):
I mean, you think about this game and you say.
Speaker 2 (01:21:27):
Did you watch this game?
Speaker 3 (01:21:29):
I didn't see it in and out, in and out.
Speaker 2 (01:21:31):
Yeah, I didn't see it. So I don't understand how
it happened because I look at McCarthy and I'm like,
I mean, the Jay Jettis didn't do much six for
forty seven, Addison two for forty eight.
Speaker 3 (01:21:40):
They couldn't really and there was only one turnover David
Montgomery fumbled. I'm prettyure he fumbled going in. I think
I have that right, which would obviously could have changed
the outcome in this one.
Speaker 2 (01:21:47):
But yeah, yeah, it was uh, weird game.
Speaker 4 (01:21:51):
Weird game.
Speaker 3 (01:21:52):
Aaron Jones came back out a little bit of juice, but.
Speaker 4 (01:21:55):
Issues the entire day, and you could tell they were
just I had it on there had it on the radio.
Serious exit me. You listen to all of them, Yeah,
and you could just tell, like the Lions were just
frustrated the entire game, like nothing was going right and
they couldn't figure out what was the issue, And you
could just tell there was a station.
Speaker 3 (01:22:16):
It is a big win for Minnesota.
Speaker 4 (01:22:19):
Huge bo Bishop, this one for you. Carolina sixteen, Green
Bay thirteen. We've talked a little bit about it already.
Speaker 2 (01:22:28):
Carolina has won four of five. Rico'dowell is a dude
for them.
Speaker 3 (01:22:33):
They took our advice.
Speaker 2 (01:22:34):
They finally took our advice and just rolled with him.
I am terrified because I do double or nothing to
bet with NBC that they wouldn't make the playoffs, and
so theoretically I would owe him a big chunk of
money if they actually make the postseason. I'm now officially
worried about it. I'm not pleased.
Speaker 3 (01:22:48):
Five and four.
Speaker 2 (01:22:50):
Yeah good, it's not good for me. I think you're
gonna be fine as well.
Speaker 3 (01:22:53):
But weird, another just weird sleepwalk loss for the for
the Green Bay Packers. Very strange and.
Speaker 2 (01:23:00):
Brayce Shawn was eleven of twenty for one oh two
in a pick and they won, and they won at Lambeau.
Speaker 4 (01:23:05):
Yeah weird. Uh, this one for both of you. Zigura,
We'll start with you. Broncos eighteen.
Speaker 2 (01:23:13):
Well, Peckers also have a kicking problem.
Speaker 5 (01:23:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:23:15):
McManus has lost it. I'm sorry, Go ahead, gibe.
Speaker 4 (01:23:20):
There are Rocos tex Broncos eighteen, Texans fifteen. CJ Stroud,
by the way, still in concussion protocol. Total hit.
Speaker 3 (01:23:27):
It was, but that it wasn't like the one where
I remember I think it was a z's all Shai
Ear hit Trevor Lawrence and it was just so egregious.
This one wasn't that egregious. He was kind of coming
from the side. It was very bang bang. I think
it's just a tough It was tough. I felt bad
for CJ. He'd been playing, starting to play a little
bit better. This was just kind of an ugly game overall,
(01:23:47):
is the way that I would describe it. I'll tell
you what r J. Harveys all of a sudden starting
to make some plays for them. They have to be
a team that feels like, no matter what, they're just
going to figure out a way to win. And that
is a dangerous thing. That is, that's a dangerous belief.
They're down fifteen to seven, and then they obviously go
and get you know, run off eleven unanswered to win it.
(01:24:11):
A lot of field goals obviously for the Texans that
was the Achilles five field goals. Couldn't get it in
the end zone, there was. But the Broncos are both
not good but also somehow good. They're good when they
need to be good.
Speaker 2 (01:24:23):
Pretty clutch, Yeah, they're clutch.
Speaker 4 (01:24:26):
Bishop, You got anything else on amps?
Speaker 2 (01:24:28):
I just think it sucks that CJ went down because
it felt like Houston was probably gonna win this game,
as he does if he doesn't go down, he goes down.
And then and now they're at three and five, and
you know, kind of who knows what happens from here?
Speaker 4 (01:24:39):
Bo, Bishop will go to you here. The New England
Patriots basically are tied with the best record in the
AFC seven and two. They've now won six in a row.
They beat the gutless Falcons twenty four to twenty three.
Falcons now three and five, they've lost three in a row.
Speaker 2 (01:24:58):
This is one of those ones that if you you
do pay attention to the scores, it's just brutal, brutal
because you don't get cover city. You get a win,
which is you know, when you're really over all the banners.
But they turn it over like this should have been
a much worse than it was, much much worse. I
don't really know what Atlanta Atlanta's three and five. I
(01:25:19):
don't really know why they can't. They obviously have to
make a change of coach. They have a lot of talent.
Doesn't make sense for them to be struggling like this.
Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
They needed to make a change of coach last year.
Speaker 2 (01:25:28):
Yeah, you're probably right.
Speaker 3 (01:25:29):
Drake London's a beast. Bijon twelve carries forty six yards,
so the Patriots have still not allowed a fifty yard
rusher on the season.
Speaker 2 (01:25:37):
The defensively, yeah, they should.
Speaker 3 (01:25:39):
This should have been a blot. They even dropped a
pick at the end of the game. And if you
are the Falcons. I mean you got rid of young
Waiku because he was missing kicks at cost you games.
Now it's an extra point, an extra point to potentially
cost you that game.
Speaker 2 (01:25:52):
Yeah, they're in New England last two weeks now against US,
and then this time they're getting Trevion going a little
bit at eighty eight. I think total yards. They're starting
to use him a little bit.
Speaker 8 (01:26:01):
Sigura.
Speaker 4 (01:26:02):
This one for you. Forty nine Ers thirty four Giants
twenty four. Forty nine Ers improved to five or sorry,
six and three on the football season.
Speaker 3 (01:26:11):
Yeah, I mean Mac Jones playing well. It was cool.
Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
He let Adrian.
Speaker 3 (01:26:19):
Martinez come in and get his first ever NFL snap
at the end of the game. I thought that was
very cool. Yeah, Niners, this one wasn't even as close
as the score indicated. They got a late touchdown. I'm
pretty sure the Giants did. Yeah, with a minute left
to make it thirty four to twenty four. Dart can
make some plays, no doubt. Niners D I think is
the problem for them. I don't think the Niners D
(01:26:39):
is good enough to get them. They need to make
a move. You want to talk about team and needs
to make a move for a defensive alignman, a guy who
can rush the passer. It's the forty nine ers badly.
Speaker 2 (01:26:48):
Pedro is still not like McCaffrey. Or is he happy now?
Speaker 5 (01:26:51):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:26:51):
But did you see Brian Robinson's touchdown run where he
ran over the guy?
Speaker 2 (01:26:54):
Did he see that?
Speaker 3 (01:26:55):
I don't know. There's no pleasing him. I mean, one
hundred and seventy three total yards, two touchdowns. Pretty good,
I'd say, yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:27:02):
Pretty cool. The one thing I will say about the
forty nine ers is they are putting themselves in a
position to win a lot of tiebreakers. Three and oh
against the division so far, six and one in the NFC.
Good point, give it. That'll take care of a lot
of ills. Uh late window, real quick bo one thought
from you, rammit thirty four Saints ten?
Speaker 2 (01:27:23):
No it went You could have we picked this one right,
This is how it was going to go. Rams Rams
are a big time problem. They are absolutely one of
the teams to beat in the NFC. Stafford's unbelievable this year.
Unbelievable the way he's playing.
Speaker 4 (01:27:39):
Yep, we were worried about him.
Speaker 2 (01:27:41):
Twenty four thirty two to two eighty one, four touchdowns
without Nakua, no big deal.
Speaker 3 (01:27:46):
Yeah, he's unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (01:27:48):
Stud uh zigirl.
Speaker 4 (01:27:49):
One thought from you. Jags thirty Raiders twenty nine in overtime.
Speaker 3 (01:27:54):
I mean, Cam little sixty eight yardfield goal is worth
watching just as a highlight because it was really kind
of incredible.
Speaker 4 (01:28:03):
Raiders. How about a little assist here, buddy.
Speaker 5 (01:28:06):
Oh jeez.
Speaker 3 (01:28:07):
So, I'll be honest with So, I always had this
one on in because it was on in the red
zone there in overtime, I had to realize that the
Raiders went down and scored and then didn't get the two.
Speaker 2 (01:28:20):
Yeah. Yeah, they went for the win, which they should.
Speaker 3 (01:28:23):
I guess you feel like you're the worst team. But
oh man, you got to you gotta convert that baby.
Speaker 2 (01:28:28):
Come on, I mean, you got tipped, got tipped at
the line, got knocked down, and Gino's like staring at somebody.
He had him wide open. They had it and just
got tipped.
Speaker 3 (01:28:35):
Bowers, welcome back, twelve for one, twenty seven and three touchdowns.
That was good for everybody in the fantasy world.
Speaker 4 (01:28:41):
All right, final one in our final two minutes, we'll
get a thought from both of you. We've already talked
about Seahawks comedies a lot bo Bishop Bill's twenty eight
Chiefs twenty one. If the playoffs were to begin today,
Kansas City would be on the outside, Jacksonville will be in.
Speaker 2 (01:28:58):
It was as great as they have been the last
three or four weeks in Kansas City, like they were
incompetent throwing the football. Mahomes was less than fifty percent
first time in his career. Yep, it's fifteen to thirty
four throwing the ball. In this one. He was really
reckless in the pocket. He drifted all over the place,
He spun for no reason. There's one where he spins,
and then just kind of it just was weird. It
(01:29:20):
was a weird performance based on how he had been
playing zigirl quickly.
Speaker 4 (01:29:24):
One thought.
Speaker 3 (01:29:26):
Surprising, But then again, this is the pattern, right, isn't
that five straight Buffalo over Kansas City in the regular
season and then they can't beat him in the playoffs.
But Josh Allen was great. They need to get rid
of I think they just need to eliminate all pushing
of a runner period.
Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
I think that's an easy fix.
Speaker 3 (01:29:42):
I think you just have to do it.
Speaker 2 (01:29:43):
So do it.
Speaker 3 (01:29:43):
That's good.
Speaker 2 (01:29:44):
Under center, do it, and the perimeter. All of it
like if you see a receiver catches it and you
tried shoving him illegal illegal. I agree, I think that
solves it. Don't make it a tush push, say no
pushing offensive players by fellow offensive players.
Speaker 4 (01:29:56):
The end, you have to get the yards yourself.
Speaker 2 (01:29:58):
That's right. Yeah, yep, yep. I think that would solve it.
Because it's it's two days. People are just gonna get hurt.
And both of his rushing touchdowns were Yeah of that, yeah,
