Speaker 1 (00:18):
Coming to you live from the Cross Country Mortgage Campus
in Barrie, Ohio. This is Cleveland Browns Daily on eight
fifty ESPN Cleveland, presented by bally Bett Sportsbook, an official
sports betting partner of your Cleveland Browns. Please bet responsibly.
Here are your hosts, Bo Bishop and Nathan Zegura.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
It's so live on the first Friday Miracle edition of
Cleveland Browns Daily.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
I am merely Bo. He is the great Ze.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I was thinking about this as today was the day
that she is going to start this weekend in Las Vegas.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
You'll hear from him.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
And I was thinking about the show that you and
I did starting at the end of right, really it
started the end of last season, so in January of
twenty twenty six, really up until probably about three weeks
before the.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Draft of twenty five.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Yeah, twenty five, I'm sorry, twenty five, three weeks before
the drafting showsary.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
No, no, no.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
What I was going to say though, is we might.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
But what I was going to say was I don't know,
because it was made abundantly clear at the combine. By
the time of the combine in February that cam word
was going one to Tennessee and there wasn't any conversation
around that, like they were locked in.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
That was him.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
And I think of the amount of hours that we
spent on this show talking about Shador Sanders and the
Cleveland Browns, it had to be in the off season
the topic we talked about most. You did the film
study on him, which which we went through. We we
loved watching him at Colorado, the plays, all of it,
and then through this crazy kind of winding road it happened.

(02:00):
Now he is going to start on Sunday in Las
Vegas against the Raiders. It's it's really a wild road
to get to where we will get to on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Yeah, it most certainly is that is true. It most
certainly is a wild road. And this is something that
I think we've all wanted to see. I think so
much has been made about the reps and this, that
and which is nonsense by and large. You know, today
we come to find out that he has his own
private meetings with Kevin Stefanski every morning to go through no.

(02:31):
I was told that the sabotage was sabotage.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
The organization didn't want him to have the success, and
he was here as a hostage. Yes, it's what I
was told. I was told that by many, a great
many people, great many people said that over the last
couple of months. Oh so no one really has a
clue that's actually going on in here? Is that the reality?
Maybe this show does? We do geez but so off.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Yeah, so I'm excited to see it. You know, I
do think there is certainly something too, you know, having
a game plan tailored to your strength, being part of
that collaboration, the things that you're comfortable with, the concepts
that you're most comfortable with, all of that, and so
this is where we're gonna get to see Shador Sanders
under those auspices. And so what's gonna happen now is

(03:17):
we're gonna see you know, there were is we talked
about on Monday Show. There were some good things. I
did a film breakdown about Historia Harold Fannitt, which was
a very good throw read the defense, clearly read the
two things that he was supposed to read, and delivered
a great ball from the pocket. There were things that
are not gonna fly no matter where you are at
any level, you know, certainly not in the NFL where
you're trying to drift back and hold the ball and

(03:38):
escape and take fifteen twenty yard sex. So there are
things he needs to clean up. There is talent in there.
That's why I liked him so much when I watched
him on tape. There's no doubt that I can throw
the football accurately. He is not afraid to push the
football down the field, Nope. And we need that. And
so this is going to be a huge test for him,
and it's a huge opportunity. I really think that this

(03:59):
is game that if he goes out and plays well
and he wins, he's going to start more games and
could start the rest of the season. This is a
massive game for him.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
If he goes out there and plays well, it changes.
This is you and I start talking about this in June,
in the in the advance of camp and into camp.
It's a lottery ticket. It's a fifth round pick with
first round tape. That's what shdore was. First round arm talent,
YEP or at worst, early second round arm talent, and

(04:31):
in tangibles, that's what this was. But it's a fifth
round pick and if it hits, it's brock Perdy and
you've won the lottery. And now it changes everything. Now
you don't, and the same we said of Dylan. Of course,
if Dylan hit I mean we went through this. I
mean we did this in July, like when we had
Kenny Pickett. If there comes a point in the season
where it's not going the way that you want, then

(04:53):
you needed.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
To see these two rookies play. Yep.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Now it didn't play out the way that we thought
it was going to play out and the way I
think a lot of people in here had planned for
it to play out. No, but nevertheless, this is how
it is playing out. You had Flacco for that early trench,
then you had this this set of games for Dylan,
and now you're gonna get potentially a set of games
for Shador. And one thing that you said all the
way back in July and August I thought it was

(05:17):
very on point, was it's his job to not let
anyone else be the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns
arrest of the way, and as long as he plays well,
that will be the case.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
He's got that opportunity, and that's we talked about. Like
originally was supposed to be Kenny Pickett until okay, fine,
then it would be Dylan Gabriel until Okay, fine, and
now Shador, it's unfortunate that it happened due to injury,
but we have at least seen a decent sample size
of Dylan Gabriel and know what he is good at,
what he has not been good at, And certainly it
has not been an offense where you said, okay, this
is it. We're good where you're good at the quarterback position.

(05:47):
So I think it's great that Shador is going to
get that opportunity. And that's what it is. This is
an opportunity. And for him, you know, I think a
lot of the narratives around why he didn't look so
prepared have been quite debunked, especially in light of things
that were brought to light today and others. And so
this is his opportunity. He has got this whole week

(06:07):
to dedicate himself completely to being ready to take on
what quite frankly is and is a nice This is
a comfortable matchup if you're a young quarterback. This is
a team that's given up twenty five points a game.
It's a team that it has you know, they've given
up sixteen touchdowns, they only have six interceptions on the season.
Do they get after the quarterback not a ton nineteen sacks,

(06:28):
twenty fifth in the league. Yeah, Max Crosby, does you
have to worry about him. But this is a team
that just was shredded by Dak Prescott. Now, albeit he's
got Ceedee Lamb and Pickens, but this is a team
that has not been a great defense period and quarterbacks
have had success against it this season, and so this
feels like a pretty good matchup for him to make
his start. He's in a dome, it is a climate

(06:49):
at home. There are a lot of things about this
that's set up very very nicely for Shador Sanders. And
if you can play well here, you look a little
bit forward and you say, well, then the Niners come
to town, and yeah, that's a good team. That is
a team that cannot rush the quarterback no at all,
like zero rushing of the quarterback. So this is a
This is a pretty exciting the situation here and an

(07:09):
exciting thing for Shador in an opportunity to go out
there and answer things.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
Now.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
I think that it will be a situation where if
he looks good, it'll be what we said. If he
has a if he struggles kind of to the degree
we saw in the last few times we've seen him
on a field. There will be a lot of questions
and actually some answers that come out of that. So
this is I think this is a big and I
feel for him because in the reality of it is
he's just a fifth He is a fifth round pick

(07:38):
in the NFL. But this is going to be amongst
I'd go so far as to say, of any player
making their first start in this season, this will be
the most fanfare around that player making their first start,
and I'd say that includes JJ McCarthy who made his
first start. It's certainly bigger than cam Ward. Yeah, bigger
than Jackson's art. It's not appropriate because it's not, but

(08:00):
it is. This is what I know.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
You're one hundred percent right. I was trying to think
about it. I want to put your big brain in
your big private school brain on this. I don't think
there's ever been I mean, I was thinking, like all
the way back, like where was bo Jackson picked by
the Raiders, because he was a first pick of the
draft by Tampa but he never played there. Then he

(08:22):
went and played, and then then he went and played
for the Royals, and then he ended up being drafted
by the Raiders late and then.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
They seventh round of the nineteen eighty seven draft the Bucks.
He was selected first overall in the nineteen eighty six draft.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Okay, so that's there's a caveat to that and that
he was the number one overall pick in the draft.
But in terms of a late round pick, I couldn't
think of anything in NFL history that has this type
of that has this fanfare. I mean, my god, I
walked in today and there's three networks doing live shots.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
T Bow's first start, the first round pick, John Football's
first round which was first round pick, was not an
enjoyable experience. I remember the miz and a bunch of
guys came in for that game. This first start was
at home against Cincinnati. Do you remember this game? No?

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Yeah, we lost thirty to nothing.

Speaker 6 (09:15):
I believe the offensive cordinator was was Kyle Kyle.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
He was ten of eighteen for act oh sincey was Hugh.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
Yeah, he was ten of eighteen for eighty yards two
picks was auditioning. It was not a joyous experience.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
But I think I can stand by that there's not
a there hasn't been somebody drafted this light with this
type of fanfare at any position. The intention that's on him.
You'd have to find the situating circumstances of like the
Bo Jackson thing where he was the seventh round pick,
but it doesn't count because he was number one overall. Right,
Like there there is a situation one where some massive personality.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
It would be like if it's T Bo, many have
a T Bow was a first round round pick.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Yeah, I mean, there just isn't anything else.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
There isn't.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
No other first round pick has this type of fanfare
around it.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
No, there just isn't. No, not even close. I mean
I was in the gym and some of the first take
was on and I mean it is that wasn't the show? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Yeah, and that part isn't fair to him either.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
No, it's not.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
He's but there's no there doesn't even embrace it at
color They embraced when he was at Colorado fatigue. No, No,
there isn't and it's going to be. I was curious,
like so this and it's a four oh five yep,
you know it's a four h five eastern start Sunday

(10:44):
in Las Vegas, which is pretty wild.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
I mean, if they were putting their thinking caps on now,
they just so happen. I think I'm pretty sure there's
a pretty good Sunday night game this week or Monday
would have been perfect.

Speaker 6 (10:55):
Sunday Night is Rams Tampa Bay.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Yeah, so that's really good. Yeah, it's Monday Night this week.
I think we have it in here so not as good. Yeah, this,
but Monday Night is Panthers at nine ers. They don't
have the ability to flex it. It can't do that
at this time. But I do think that there certainly
is a world in which if he continues to start
that you could see if there's a game that they

(11:18):
don't love, you could I think you could see us
getting flex into a primetime game.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Yeah, there is a curiosity to him that is usually
reserved for athletes playing different sports or extreme circumstances, you
know what I mean. Like, it's just not something that
usually happens for a fifth round quarterback. In fact, as
far as I can tell, it's never happened anything quite
like this. But you're right, it's a very soft landing spot.

(11:43):
In the defense. The dome helps a ton. I mean
that helps a ton, it's natural grass dome, all of that.
Their secondary is nothing. Now that you have Max Crosby,
so you're gonna have to be a little bit careful
about that because he will come around. He got Dak
a couple of times and wreaked a lot of havoc,
so that will be part of it. But as debuts go,

(12:06):
we've never had this type of hype for a fifth
round pick, and I don't know that we've This is
a pretty good landing spot for him. This is not
a great Raiders team, the dome impact of it, the
defense isn't any good. If they're you have got a
week now.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
And it's not like he wasn't thrust in, you know,
like if you think about Dylan thrust into the lineup
all the way back in October at home against the Vikes, London,
you have a full London, London against the Bikes. Yeah,
that's right, London against the Bikes.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
And then at Pittsburgh the following week were his first
two games. This isn't that like, this is nope, this
this there's an opportunity for success here and I can't
wait to see it. I think most people feel that way.
They want to see him go and see what he's
all about.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
The other day.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
These are this is sport. But these are television shows,
and this is must watch television. That's right, this is
must watch television. Yeah, I mean it is activated and
dominated the discourse even when he wasn't playing discourse of
this of the NFL world for quite some time. And

(13:13):
now we're going to get to see it against the
Silver and Black, which I think is kind of an
iconic thing. You know, it was almost like it felt
like for a long time, you know, I thought he
might end up being a raider. Brady had spoken kindly
of him. I feel like he'd fit in Vegas and
then the Silver and Black, and it's kind of wild.
That's where he's going to make his debut. Don't you

(13:34):
think Dionne will be there? Yes?

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Yes, pretty quick flight from Boulder to Vegas. Yeah, and
they play what Saturday night? Saturday at home?

Speaker 3 (13:41):
I think, Yeah. No, I mean they're they're they're having
a really rough year, so I'm not sure what.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Their schedule is, but but yeah, no, I would assume
that he would be there.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
I mean, he's friends with Tom.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
They'll put him in a suite and and and yeah,
you'd want to see your son make his first start. Course, Yeah,
this is a big one. I mean, this is going
to be this is I'm gonna go here. You want
some more hyperbles, let's do it.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
Run them uk. This will be the most watched, most anticipated,
most talked about, most dissected game between two two and
eight teams this late in the season ever.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Fact fact, I wonder if they'll move the window for
the you know how you get like those broadcast windows
of where games are like this game was probably only
a Cleveland, Las Vegas, Oakland window.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
Maybe some of Los Angeles would have got this. All right,
what do we we got?

Speaker 6 (14:37):
By the way, Arizona State twenty fifth in the country
at Colorado Saturday night at eight.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
Yeah, all right, so here's the problem Sunday. So you
got Cowboys in the late game. That's what you got.
You got Cowboys Eagles. Yeah, so they're not gonna that's
not gonna get proempted. The only other wor CBS. Yeah,
the only other CBS game in the late window is
Jags Cards.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
Yeah, so that'll only go to Arizona and Jacksonville and
then I don't know, like I mean, I'm curious, like
what Columbus is going to do.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
I don't think CBS is going to be able to
do that because CBS is going to have their national
game has got to be Colts Chiefs right at one? Well, yes, yeah,
I would say, yeah, they've got some real good one o'clock.
They got Steelers, Bears, Patriots, Bengals, Colts Chiefs. Colts chief
will be that that one o'clock game. Yeah, I just

(15:30):
I don't think anybody's going to try to get us in,
not that I know they are different networks, but aren't
there some rules about that, aren't there? Like CBS can't
then have a second national No.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
They can't, but like I would what the one that
I'm curious about.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Is they have to have stuff on CBS localies, right
or do they do not have games?

Speaker 2 (15:44):
No, they just don't have games like that happens here
a lot when it's the world coverage. I would imagine that,
like Columbus would take this, and it's our second biggest market.
Angles are at one though, yeah, but their seasons lost,
and they always take Browns over Bengals, like if the
rec Patriots. They only take the only reason they ever
take Bengals over Browns is if the Bengals are playing

(16:04):
the Steelers or if the Bengals are running away with
the division.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
We're struggling.

Speaker 6 (16:07):
Columbus is taking the Bengals for now. Yeah, the only
the only market.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Because they can the local affiliate.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
When I was at the local CBS affiliate, we could
swap that if we wanted so they could, they could
opt in for ours instead.

Speaker 6 (16:21):
The state of Nevada, Cleveland, Toledo, Youngstown, like the top
third of the state of Ohio. That's it.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
I would I'm gonna get an answer for you. I
would bet you Columbus takes it. You know people, I
do know people.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
Heck, they might sell some of those pro rated Sunday
ticket packages for just so people can watch this game.
That's a model they should go to. By the way, like, hey,
would you pay two bucks to watch this game? Don't
make it so hard, Yeah, probably pay If you said
four ninety nine, who's gonna that wants to watch Shador's debt?

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Who's gonna bock at four ninty nine? Anywhere in the country.
Like to put our big brains together. I think they
should do that for every game instead of making you
buy the whole ticket and all that stuff, just make
it pay per view on the local network, like if
you want to watch a game out of network, it's five,
but don't make it crazy, make it very manageable movie.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
You could spend his ten bucks because there's only two
windows if you did that way, and most of you
it's been on Sunday to get the two games that
you want.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
And yeah, yeah, I'm with you on that. It's going
to be exciting. It's going to be electric out there,
to say the least. Practice wrapping up here shortly. Get
you some updates on our side. D NPS today Dylan
Chief and Alex Wright or do not practices, did not practices,
Jack Conkwin, Cam Robinson will try to practice in limited

(17:42):
capacity today, Too early to tell availability for Sunday.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
On that, Chief, I feel about good about everybody on offense,
even Chief M Yeah, feel good about Chief. Feel good
about I mean, barring a setback, but I think as
on the current trajectory, I feel good about everybody. Yeah
I don't, Alex write, I do not feel good about
everybody on offense. All right, there you go.

Speaker 4 (19:25):
What's going on? How is everybody doing? How you doing?
I'm doing great, can't complain.

Speaker 7 (19:30):
Sure, just first office, How you doing mentally?

Speaker 8 (19:32):
Emotionally oposit ardalize about rapping at your homes?

Speaker 6 (19:35):
How you doing after?

Speaker 4 (19:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (19:36):
Mensali And mostly I'm in a great place overall, and
life is always going to be adversity. Things aren't always
going to go, you know, as planned. But I would say,
you know, I'm prepared for everything.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
What's your plan to approach this week?

Speaker 2 (19:50):
Knowing now that you are going to get your first.

Speaker 9 (19:52):
NFL start the same how I always am, you know,
knowing exactly where everybody's going to be prepared. Understand that
they have a great defense, they coached by a great coach,
you know, and they have a great players on that
side of the ball.

Speaker 4 (20:07):
So just doing what I.

Speaker 9 (20:08):
Can, you know, to prepare mentally, you know, physically, emotionally,
to make sure my best self.

Speaker 8 (20:15):
You feel that with this start you play well that
you know, you could sort of selling to yourself as
the starting quarterback room before.

Speaker 9 (20:24):
I don't I don't think too much into that, you know,
like I think in the moment present today, you know,
I go over the game plan and make sure I
execute that. When you start moving too fast in life,
sometimes you know you you missed the small details of things.
So I never want to overlook anything.

Speaker 10 (20:39):
Or what's what's the twenty four forty eight hours after
the Ravens game. What was your kind of process like
in terms of deconstructing that game going through you know,
your your reps and and what did you were you
able to kind of pull away from that that you
can build off of and.

Speaker 4 (20:56):
As positives.

Speaker 9 (20:59):
Really the positives for that game is just being able
to go in there, you know, breaking that barrier coming
off the sideline for so many weeks, you know, and
being able to do that. I don't I don't think
a lot of people understand, you know, how challenging that
is from a rookie going into a game. Now, a
lot of NFL vets backup quarterbacks, they've.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
Been in the league. You feel me.

Speaker 9 (21:18):
I'm just I'm just coming out of college, you know,
so it's a different.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
Feeling. But I enjoy it.

Speaker 9 (21:26):
So, you know, as the game went on and you know,
I settled in Okay, I.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
Know what's going on.

Speaker 9 (21:32):
So as long, you know, as long as I get comfortable,
which I am, you know, each and every day seeing
the guys running the routes and being out there, it
feels good. So I know for sure I'm gonna do
everything in my power, and as a team, we're doing
everything in our power to make sure we have success
on Sunday this week, getting all.

Speaker 11 (21:54):
Of the first team reps because Kevin said, You're gonna
get on to getting all those first team reps for
the first time with the starters and then have a
twiny design a game plan to maximize your strengths and
your skill set.

Speaker 9 (22:08):
Yeah, I'm truly excited for that, knowing that you know,
I have a piece of offense and then say so
and how things fit my eye and place to players
exactly where they need to be, seeing how they come
in and out of route, seeing the structure of the
ad linement, seeing they set seeing just having a feeling
like I'm I'm more of a field type of person.

(22:28):
So that's how I learned, That's how I do everything.
I'm not just I'm just watching. It's just gonna happen. No, Like,
I gotta be out there feeling I gotta move around.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
I got.

Speaker 9 (22:37):
It's like so many details that it takes for me,
you know, to feel my best and play my best,
and I'm doing everything my power and the team's doing everything,
you know to help me get prepared.

Speaker 7 (22:47):
You've worked behind the scenes. Obviously we haven't gotten to
see you at practice since training camp. But what are
you mostly like proud of I guess with your development
so far?

Speaker 3 (22:55):
And where do you feel like you've grown?

Speaker 9 (22:58):
I would say definitely, I'd say mentally, mentally mostly like
I know this a trending topic that my house got
broken into, but like I'm in a mental space now
to where you know, it's not too much that could
phase me. Honestly that's going on. And none of my
jury got took anyway, So by the way, none of

(23:19):
my jury got took, so now you know, it's just
caught slipping. You know, it happens.

Speaker 7 (23:25):
Should you mentioned after the game on Sunday, how you
like really understand the details of your receivers a.

Speaker 12 (23:32):
Like and whatnot?

Speaker 7 (23:34):
Just I historically for you as a player, how long
has that process typically taken you as far as you know,
get it to a point where you guys can see
what each other wants without maybe actually having to see
what each other once and likes.

Speaker 9 (23:50):
Well, I would say I definitely have a realistic approach,
and I know my development, you know, is I is
a player and everything and mentally and everything how to speed.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
Up due to the situation. So I just like new challenges.
So it's gonna be fun.

Speaker 9 (24:07):
You know, it's gonna be fun going out there doing
what I gotta do. And the fact that we are
up against time, we are up against you know, growing
real fast. So that's what's exciting. That's what you know
is the rush you know that everybody feels. That's what excitement.
That's where everybody gonna be in a stadium lit to
understand how how quickly you know it is gonna take

(24:28):
for us to have success.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
And I truly believe it won't be long.

Speaker 12 (24:32):
I know you have probably been envisioning this opportunity for
a long time.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
You've a lot of fans who you know, want.

Speaker 10 (24:38):
So much to expect so much from you.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
What's your philosophy on managing expectations.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
In a situation like this?

Speaker 9 (24:44):
I would say, for sure, I'm my own biggest critic,
you know, so in certain situations in the game, even
in that.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
Fourth even in that fourth down, with that last.

Speaker 9 (24:54):
Game, I wish I would have just extended to play,
you know, so, so mind you, I don't listen the critics.
I don't listen to anybody has to say that's not
within the organization, that within the team, that within the
family or anything, because it's like everybody have their own perspectives,
but they're not out there doing it, you know, so
or they've done it in they past life and they
time has passed. So I'm just thankful that I'm living

(25:17):
in the present and now I have the opportunity to
go out there and do the best I can what
every mistakes, of course, but it wouldn't be as many mistakes,
you know. They're trying to minimize those most possible.

Speaker 7 (25:30):
Should know what was your dad's reaction to you get
in the start and be there on Sunday.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
Quite honestly, right now, I'm not even like I don't know.
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (25:40):
I'm so focused on what I'm doing. I don't even
be talking to too many people right now.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
I'm sure you talk to him though, Yeah, uh, I
ain't talk to him today or yesterday.

Speaker 9 (25:52):
I thought the Shiloh Sheeller called me, but I said, Bro,
right now, if you want to talk, everybody, just fly
in come see me. Bro, ain't trying to be on
my phone. I'm not trying to do any of that.
If you want to talk, just pull up on me,
you know, and then and then we could talk from there.
But other than that, I ain't trying to I don't
even check my phone. Too many people have been texting me.
Are you okay? Yes, I'm fine. I didn't get robbed

(26:14):
my house, did.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
I think? Yeah?

Speaker 9 (26:21):
I think like I say. Whenever it's either I just
say bruh, let me know. And I got enough people
around me to communicate and and and you know the
details of everything, So I'm fine.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
We're trying to support from your teammates has led to
some confidence in this moment. How much have they kind
of rallied around you from from training camps and now
to make me feel confident.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
To go out there a lot?

Speaker 9 (26:46):
I would say the teammates are definitely a big portion
of everything, but at the same time, they have their
own jobs they have to do also, So.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
I have to take that.

Speaker 9 (26:56):
Upon myself to know that I have the responsibility, you know,
to bring his team win on our side of the ball.

Speaker 4 (27:01):
So I gotta do. I gotta do what's necessary to
do that.

Speaker 9 (27:04):
You know, when you look at some of those lips
looks that the Raven showed you in the second half,
what do you think that you maybe could have done better?

Speaker 8 (27:11):
And what do you think a leak.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
Full back to all of your kind of just stuff.

Speaker 9 (27:14):
I think I handled the blitz pretty good. I think
it's some I think it's some certain scenarios. You know,
I could have been tighter, you know, with my footwork
or anything. But when it comes from from from film studying,
from everything, there's a lot of things you know from
from from from.

Speaker 4 (27:31):
That side, you know I've done well and.

Speaker 9 (27:34):
You know, minus the couple of things going into the
game of course that that I could change. But all
that's about feel, you know, all that, All that's about
a different feeling about getting the reps and doing everything
like that. So I'm excited and and and doing to
the game. As the time went on, you've seen the comfort,
You've seen all that, You've seen the juice behind it,
so I know I could get to that place. So

(27:55):
that just that that moment was a moment of hope,
you know, and I hope we all have.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
I'm not excited you're.

Speaker 11 (28:00):
Talking so much about how much of a comfort role
you have with your Hungry Dog guys, and how.

Speaker 4 (28:06):
Much you, uh you really.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Want to join those guys.

Speaker 11 (28:09):
Do you think that these guys will approaches will give
you an opportunity to have some of your comfort Hungry Dogs.

Speaker 9 (28:17):
See, I ain't got that much motion here yet. You know,
I don't had that much motion in here yet. I
gotta win some games. I gotta do what I gotta
do to be able to make some requests. But right now,
you know, I'm I'm just I'm just excited to be
on the field right now.

Speaker 12 (28:30):
She talks, she thinks herself.

Speaker 4 (28:32):
Sometimes he in you.

Speaker 10 (28:34):
In the mornings, go over the tape for the pres
factors regularly.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
Where do you get out of those sessions?

Speaker 9 (28:41):
And one of the ones with Kevin h I got
a lot uh knowing, uh going through the check, let's
going through the reason and all that. But look, all
that stuff changes whenever you're in a real game, Like, honestly,
like it feels way different. It like, I don't know,
Hungry Dog's cool, but it's not like the real thing,
you know what I mean? So like that that that
keeps you, you know, mentally, so you don't go out

(29:03):
there and be a disaster.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
But I don't think it's it. I think it's I
think it's cool.

Speaker 9 (29:08):
I don't know if it genuinely prepared you to go
out there in the actual game, you know, and be
able to dominate.

Speaker 12 (29:14):
You know, you talked about how excited you were coming
out the field Sunday just getting your first NFL rest.

Speaker 9 (29:20):
Well, I was excited after, you know, after I already
thought about that. Dang, we really just lost that game.
It could have been so close, you know, it could
have been small details that we've done different and be
able to win that game.

Speaker 12 (29:34):
So, but what do you think the emotion is gonna
be going out to take that first stap in Vegas?

Speaker 4 (29:40):
Team?

Speaker 9 (29:41):
I think I think I think it's everything everything we
all we all think. I think it's gonna be exciting.
I know a lot of y'all gonna be there. I
know you can't miss it. You cannot miss this moment.
It'll be definitely exciting. We're going out there with a purpose,
going out there mentally ready, you distractions know anything, and.

Speaker 10 (30:03):
You know, I'll be excited your offensive line, we're going, Uh,
just getting comfortable with your offensive line? How important is that?
And how much does getting those live reps just going
into this game just having half behind that offensive line,
how much is that going to help you and them.

Speaker 4 (30:25):
With the offensive line. You got to just be able
to feel.

Speaker 9 (30:28):
You got to know the different things, you know how
to manipulate the pocket and stuff. So I think I
think in the hungry dogs aspect, I'm an expert in
that environment, you know. But with our guys, I gotta
still figure we all have to feel each other and
figure each other out. So that's the main thing doing
we need to do to make each other comfortable.

Speaker 11 (30:47):
How much does it help you to run sometimes the
scout line can go against like a Miles Garrett and
a Denzel Ward and a Mason Graham and Collins and
those guys.

Speaker 5 (30:56):
How much does that helped you.

Speaker 4 (30:58):
So far this year? And help me in with way?

Speaker 11 (31:03):
Just get ready to go against like Max Crosby and
the things that you're gonna face on the strander.

Speaker 9 (31:10):
Yeah, I mean quite honestly, we we have a great defense.
We have one of the best defense, if not the
best defense in the league. But I don't know if
that directly translates to I don't I don't know if
that directly translates that cause you're getting a card and
you just going out there just being free. You know,
like it's it's a total different it's a total different

(31:31):
thing like Shoudre. But but also you do the speed
and all that stuff. You know, it's similar. But you know,
like if if a regular season game and and when
people say, like a playoff game and in the super.

Speaker 4 (31:44):
Bowl is a little bit faster.

Speaker 9 (31:45):
So at whether it's in practice, in in in in
the game, it's gonna be like a tenth fath faster,
you know.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
So shudure uh, you will now be the forty second
starting quarterbacks in the Browns came back.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
That's that's ironic. That's crazy that has been starved for
a franchise school.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
What would be your message to the fans kind of
going into.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
This game and you kind of start, you know, your
NFL's career really for the first time starting to.

Speaker 9 (32:16):
Mart Well, I know, I know our fans, our fans
have hope, you know, and I'm the one that.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
What'd you say? What what? Yeah? Yeah?

Speaker 9 (32:30):
For instance, I know our fans have a lot of
expectations and hope, and I would be doing a disservice
to myself and disservice to the organization if I didn't
feel like I am the guy. I did everything I
need to. I'm doing everything I need to prepare to
be the best version of myself as possible. With the circumstances,

(32:52):
everything gott be sped up, and that's great. You know,
I like pressure in life. I'm just excited for everything.
So you know, I feel like I'm the God.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
I know him to God. But you know, you just
have to be able to see the game. Gotta speak.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
Indeed, it will.

Speaker 5 (34:24):
Thank you.

Speaker 12 (34:24):
I could probably use one.

Speaker 5 (34:26):
Do you know anybody I do?

Speaker 3 (34:29):
Yeah, we know some people. I know some people. Hey,
we were having am not sure if you were listening
or not.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
We were having a conversation about, you know, kind of
the hysteria around all of this.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
You've maybe had some time to think of it.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
I was trying to think of another circumstance like this
where you have a fifth round. There's been a lot
of ballyhooed first round quarterback first starts. Ze mentioned Tebow
and Menzel, but those are first rounders and I even't
thought of like Bo Jackson, But I mean he was
the number one pick in the draft first before being
a seventh rounder. Where you have somebody making a debut
like this, buddy, there's three networks outside the building today.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
You've been around the NFL a long time. Can you
recall anything?

Speaker 12 (35:06):
No, I can't, especially for a fifth round pick like this.
And when Arch Spanning, I know you mentioned Arch is
part of that conversation at one point. When Arch comes
out wherever he goes, I'm sure there will be hysteria
as well for his first career start. But this is
unlike anything we've ever seen.

Speaker 5 (35:24):
He's a fifth round pick.

Speaker 12 (35:25):
There are one hundred and forty three picks that went
before shud Or and now he's getting his opportunity, and
it's in a window in which CBS does not have
the double header. You guys are talking about that. It
is a Fox doubleheader this week and right now it
is barely going to anywhere.

Speaker 5 (35:44):
But it will be.

Speaker 12 (35:45):
Dissected, discussed, I have no doubt, screamed about as well
more than any other game.

Speaker 5 (35:53):
This week five far.

Speaker 3 (35:56):
Yeah, there's no doubt about it. I mean, this is
going to be as big a game. I think it's
the biggest game between two two and eight teams ever
in NFL history. It will certainly be the most dissected
and discussed game between two teams that are two and
eight at this point and are right now, you know,
vying for the number one pick in the twenty twenty
six NFL Draft. We you know, we we did the

(36:17):
game four of sixteen. Those numbers weren't good. There were
some moments, some near misses that looked pretty good. You know,
what do you hope to see that with this full week?
And obviously we know he's been meeting with Kevin Sefanski
every morning and they've been, you know, going, He's been
getting kind of special attention to get ready. So the
narrative that obviously he was being thrown led to slaughter
was was factually incorrect, which is not a great surprise.

(36:39):
But what do you hope to see with a full
week here, and not only from Shador, but maybe from
the game plan that Tommy rees And and Kevin Sefanski implement.

Speaker 12 (36:48):
Yeah, but you know, Nathan if you say that he's
being set up to sail with a funny hat and
a funny scarf, people take it seriously.

Speaker 3 (36:55):
You know that that's right. Even if you don't have
the funny hat and the funny scarf, they.

Speaker 12 (37:00):
Even Yeah, I hope to see him play on time
and instructure. I think that's the thing.

Speaker 5 (37:06):
You know.

Speaker 12 (37:06):
Obviously, you guys have discussed. We discussed it during the game.
You can't run backwards out of sacks. Now. To be fair,
he did avoid the blitz to have the spin move before.

Speaker 5 (37:16):
He threw the ball into the end zone.

Speaker 12 (37:18):
I can't remember who his Larvadan or if it was
the Bond throw, but one of those he made a
nice play and he got the ball in the end zone.
He stretched the field. He tried to make something out
of nothing. So yeah, there's that. He can escape the
rush a little bit, but he can't run backwards. At
the same time. On one of those deep shots, I
think the Bond deep shots, he had the outcut there

(37:38):
to Jerry Judy, right like, take it, take the first down,
you gotta take the game. He's go back to the
beginning when he first came on the field. He had
the rollout and the hitch to said, and then the
second play of the game, look deep, don't see it
take the checkout. As you pointed out, Nathan knows the
same play pretty much that he hit Fanning on to
open up the final drive. So you see a little
progression there from first try to last drive. But also

(38:01):
don't forget he was without both of his starting tackles
on that final drive, right, So like that is significant
here when looking at the film, play on time, playing structure,
and be risk adverse here.

Speaker 2 (38:16):
There is no great time or great opponent to make
an NFL debut. But this is a pretty soft landing spot, Bud.
I mean, outside of Max Crosby, there's nothing to really
fear on the Vegas defense. It's a dome with grass.
I'm guessing there will be a ton of Browns fans there.
There could be some CU fans there. It's four o'clock.
To your point, it's not it's not a national game

(38:37):
of the week, it's not in prime time, it's not
anything like that. It's game that's only right now going
to be seen in Cleveland and Nevada.

Speaker 3 (38:43):
That's kind of it.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
Northern Ohio and Nevada. I'm sure that'll expand in some
parts of Ohio as the week goes along, but that's
where it is right now. If as debuts go, this
is a relatively soft landing spot for him.

Speaker 5 (38:58):
It is.

Speaker 12 (38:58):
And you guys, we were joking about flexing games, and you.

Speaker 5 (39:01):
Guys are talking about earlier so on our for.

Speaker 12 (39:04):
Those who don't know, we have a text chain here,
right and we talked junk back and forth, and you know,
we were joking about flexing the Titans game with the
number one overall pick up for goa forget about like
the Browns losing.

Speaker 5 (39:17):
Let's let's say they win some games here.

Speaker 12 (39:19):
And I am not suggesting we're getting moved to primetime,
but I hadn't thought about it until you guys brought
it up, like Shadore and Josh Allen, that's a long
way down the road. I mean, I would be interested
in showing that to a bigger audience. Should Or and
assuming the Browns win, and that's a huge assumption. I
know this is crazy talk right now, but should Or

(39:39):
and Aaron Rodgers round two, I'd be interested in showing
that to more of America, wouldn't you. I'm just thinking
out loud on how it looks.

Speaker 3 (39:52):
Yes, I do you think it is? I don't even
know that.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
But do you think it's predicator on winning or just
the offense being fun?

Speaker 3 (39:59):
Yes, I think he's making Yeah.

Speaker 12 (40:03):
Yeah, there's there's a fun factor. There's also a like
unmitigated diaster factor. You don't you don't hope for the worst, right,
but like, it could go badly. I don't think it's
going to be a thirty nothing man's heel debut, but
it could go badly. I mean, sometimes hype doesn't result
in anything but to face the facts.

Speaker 5 (40:24):
So I'm very optimistic. Certainly I'm optimistic. Well we'll see.

Speaker 12 (40:29):
It's like I said, when it came on the field,
I buckle up right, like here we go. The trains
left the station, so who knows? Who knows where it's going.
But I mean, I'm happy to be along for the ride.

Speaker 4 (40:43):
Well.

Speaker 3 (40:43):
One of the things too about getting this offense going
is right now we are. This is the second time
this year there has been a robbery and the Defensive
Player of the Year voting. For the second time Jordan
Brooks has won the Defensive Player of the Year over
MG and now to me that more Wiles Garrett to
our guest, it means Mason Graham that should have won

(41:03):
Defensive Player of the Week this week and it was
a robbery. How do you respond to this because we're
being I think overlooked due to the lack of success
on offense.

Speaker 12 (41:12):
So Jordan Brooks did have twenty tackles this week. He
had a fantastic game. The most tackles for any player,
and tackles are subjective, but the most tackles by any
player in a game this year he deserved. I know, I'm.

Speaker 5 (41:32):
Getting to that. The fact that he had he has.

Speaker 12 (41:35):
Beaten Miles twice for this in games in which Miles
had nine combined sacks is utterly Like I thought it
was a typo when it hit my inbox, Like I
thought it was one of those you know how your
Gmail sometimes, like you know, show show different messages from
the same center and like it confuses Actually we just

(41:56):
look that tell us what it was.

Speaker 5 (41:58):
And then I opened it.

Speaker 12 (41:59):
I'm like, wait a minute, he wanted again, You've got
to be kidding me. I don't know if you know.
JJ Watt commented on my tweet and he was like,
this is ridiculous. What you do you have to win
the game, Like, if that's the case, just get rid
of the award.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
Yeah, so I was going to say, I know that
I was. I'm glad that you caught that. I know
that you were having lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel
with Robert Evans, But I was curious if you caught
the idea that that is that the rule that you
have to win the game award? No like JJ quote
tweeted no rule, and it seems like he thought that
was the rule.

Speaker 12 (42:36):
So a couple of years ago, you know, there's the
Patsy zero Sugar Runky of the Week. I think that's
still the sponsor, and like Dylan was up for it
last year, I think Carlson were last week. I think
carlill was up for the Jets game like that, which
interesting but regardless, and we had a string in twenty
twenty three where the Jets one like time and we

(43:00):
had it was a running joke on our show on
NFL Network. I'm convinced that like Jetter or Jets, Reddit
hammered the voting process, but this is different. I don't
I think the writer's vote. Honestly don't know who votes
on it. I have no clue but I mean, just
retire the award and is there a trophy like when

(43:21):
Grant Delpit won a couple of weeks ago. Can we
get Grant? Did somebody find Rant today Nathan in the building?

Speaker 5 (43:27):
Ask him? Did he get a paper weight?

Speaker 3 (43:29):
Did he get like one of the specific for a.

Speaker 9 (43:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (43:36):
Yeah, yeah. Like I remember when I was like in
fifth grade, I got like Citizen of the Week and
they gave me a piece.

Speaker 5 (43:41):
Of paper with like a sticker on it.

Speaker 6 (43:44):
Remember, and now you should.

Speaker 3 (43:45):
Now you're collecting orange jackets, and you're also ignoring the
main point here is that Mason Graham was rapped.

Speaker 12 (43:54):
Okay, I see what you're doing. I'm not following for
the trick. This goes back to our text thread. I
you an.

Speaker 5 (44:00):
Amazing video last night.

Speaker 4 (44:02):
It was.

Speaker 5 (44:07):
Come do It on YouTube.

Speaker 12 (44:09):
You have an amazing cutup of Mason Graham destroying dudes.
And by the way, Mason Graham has played well this year. Okay,
don't let the stats fool you. And I'm not being
snarky nor sarcastic, but my got you last night with
that video.

Speaker 5 (44:21):
I know you.

Speaker 3 (44:22):
You made me laugh and it brought a great bit
of enjoyment to me in the midst of a very
long concert performance, after my son had done his part
of it, and I needed that. My internet was not
good enough for me to even be able to respond
to you. But I did get to see it, and
I enjoyed it, and I know that. You know when
you have some of the foremost football minds on board.
I mean, listen, here's a fact. Yeah, Miles Garrett's pressure

(44:44):
rate is very similar to his pressure rate many years,
but it is his pressure to sack conversion rate that
is higher. And smarter people than me, you have made
the case it's because of the interior pressure of not
just Malie Collins, but also that of and Graham that
is led to these sack numbers. So I think I'm
gonna what about this. Hold on, hear me, we have

(45:07):
we have a lot of good ideas on the show.
So this is the new one that I'm gonna come
up with right here on. Spot Bo doesn't even know
that about it. I don't even know I've been I've
not been briefed. In hockey, for example, you don't even
have to be the guy that passes the puck to
the guy that scores to get an assist, right, and
it's like, oh, you made the great setup pass that
got the guy to give the pass to get there.
So there you can get assisted by like six degrees

(45:29):
a Kevin Bacon and that's yea. There needs to be
a sack assist counting because in this game, Mason Graham
had two of those where his pressure flushed Lamar Jackson
into the waiting arms of Miles Miles Garrett and I
think people would feel differently if you had that as
a as a factor.

Speaker 12 (45:51):
I think, like, you have a good point, and I
endorse that. I think if you can go back there
should there should at least be some kind of analytic
I mean, there's the gazillion analytics stats that never can
put on the air. That one should be should be
one of those that you can find on NFL Pro
or PFF. If you go back to the New England
game in which he had five sacks, the Alex Right

(46:12):
sack correct me if I'm wrong, was because Miles four
strake may up in the pocket and into the arnor
p Right, I.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
Believe said this on the broadcast. This assistance was boring.

Speaker 12 (46:22):
And I said it. I said in my interview with
Kevin before the game week ten and the Carson Schwessinger interception.
Same thing, Miles blows by the tackle, Drake May's got
to move up in the pocket. Drake May throws the
right to Carson' Squessinger. So he had five sacks plus
by your metric. The assist the helper as hockey people
would say on the Alex right sack and the helper

(46:45):
as the hockey dorks would say on the pick by Sweessinger.

Speaker 2 (46:49):
All right, let's let's I want to do it. I
want to do a guest sat with you. We do
know that Miles has twenty two tackles for loss on
the season.

Speaker 5 (46:56):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (46:57):
Do you know who holds the NFL w record for
tackles for loss on the season? And can you be
within a tackle? I'm gonna get within I'm gonna you
don't have to get the number exactly, but you can
be within two and a half and you're gonna get
a gold star.

Speaker 3 (47:10):
And let me get tell you this is just a
little bit of a caveat. A little backstory is that
in this game, this Sunday, we will have the tackles
for lost leader in the nfls of Yours twenty twenty two,
twenty twenty three and twenty twenty four. Max Crosby had
twenty two and twenty two. Max Crosby had twenty three
and twenty three, Miles Garrett twenty two and twenty four.
Now Miles Garrett already the leader with twenty two and

(47:32):
twenty five all time. That's given, it does some time,
just a little background that those that's where this has
been living for a while.

Speaker 5 (47:39):
Single game or single seas, single.

Speaker 3 (47:42):
Seas season season, Yep, he tackles for loss leader of
your prompting chat GPT. Right there, things out.

Speaker 12 (47:54):
Of like, yeah, I'm sitting on the side of the road,
i pulled over for safety smart, I'm I'm gonna have
tea outside the box. I highly i that's illegally been
in California. I highly doubt it that this is zactly
I'm gonna say, Mark Gastono.

Speaker 2 (48:12):
Ooh, so it's the guy who quote tweeted you.

Speaker 5 (48:15):
That's right, it is JJ watt jj watite.

Speaker 2 (48:19):
He actually has the three biggest tackles for lost seasons
in NFL history. Can you guess the number within two
and a half for the gold Star Yep, tackles for
loss in a season record within two and a half
plus or minus.

Speaker 3 (48:33):
This isn't price is right?

Speaker 5 (48:35):
Twenty nine pretty good?

Speaker 3 (48:38):
That's two.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
That's second all Second, can I interest you in thirty nine?
No gold Star though, No gold Star thirty.

Speaker 12 (48:45):
Nine, thirty nine nine.

Speaker 3 (48:51):
Yeah, we were, we were. We were pretty flown blown
away by we were. Yes, which led you down the
rabbit hole of the most dominant players ever. And we're like,
after you went through JJ Watson as you're like, it's
got to be JJ Watt And then we're like, what
about Aaron Donald?

Speaker 10 (49:03):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (49:03):
Yeah, Aaron Donald anald do you think?

Speaker 4 (49:06):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (49:08):
Donald?

Speaker 12 (49:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (49:09):
By the way, you're the best. You probably are the
most prepared person to answer this question other than perhaps
McVeigh or lesson need and we can't get them on
Clevelan Brown's Daily at least we haven't thus far. Aaron
you've watched like some of the videos of him working
out recently. Is there a world in which he says, hey,
let me come back for the Super Bowl run?

Speaker 4 (49:31):
No?

Speaker 12 (49:32):
So I haven't talked to Aaron face to face probably.

Speaker 5 (49:39):
Since like February, but.

Speaker 3 (49:41):
Like more recent than most he's in great shape.

Speaker 12 (49:46):
I mean, he's that he wants to get into acting.
He just launched a podcast.

Speaker 2 (49:55):
I really don't coming back and winning the super Bowl
it's a pretty big spotlight to put on a growing brand.

Speaker 3 (50:03):
I'm just saying only four, if only thirty four. If
the hof was physically able, he would have one hundred
percent comeback and played for us in our playoff run.

Speaker 2 (50:14):
I would like if we had a chance to, like
go do something, Hey Joe, we need a left tackle.

Speaker 3 (50:18):
In twenty he would have done it in twenty twenty
if he was physically able. Because Aaron Donald still looks
to me like he I was watching him do bench
with one hundred and fifty pound dumbles like it was
a joke. He still works out the NFL guys that
makes him throw up, like right now today. Yeah, so
he made yeah.

Speaker 12 (50:33):
Jared versus Jared versus like call the cops. He won't
let me out of the house, please let me?

Speaker 5 (50:38):
Yes, yes, but I would.

Speaker 12 (50:40):
Actually this is gonna sound crazy. I don't know that
they need him, No, no, no, really, I'm just curious. Their
pass rush is ridiculous. I don't know that he would
want to do that. Right now, there is a massive
life size Aaron Donald bobblehead, like an actual like with
a with a head massive that is in their lobby
right now that everyone's having fun with they're retiring as number.

(51:01):
It's I don't think he would do it. I really,
really really really don't. But you know what blow your ways.
When I saw him in February, we were talking. I'm like, dude,
you look good, like you look like you lost some weight.

Speaker 5 (51:13):
He's like, no, I haven't lost. I'm at my same
playing weight my last year.

Speaker 12 (51:16):
I'm like, what did you play at you last year?
He's like, oh, like two forty five to fifty. I'm like, what,
So he played played three technique like two fifty five?

Speaker 5 (51:28):
Maybe? Yeah. I'm like like, no, you didn't, because yeah
I did.

Speaker 2 (51:33):
But all right, seriously, I'll get you out of here
on this. You're a man of great culinary curiosity. I'm
not asking for the restaurant. I don't need anything specific.
What's on the menu Saturday night in Vegas? Oh yeah,
I don't need specifics, but I know that you've got
Vegas anymore.

Speaker 12 (51:54):
My Vegas restaurant's well anymore, we're where would I go?

Speaker 2 (51:59):
We're going where would you go? Maybe that's better?

Speaker 12 (52:02):
What I oh, man, I honestly don't So there's a
sushi place that the name escapes me that's off the
strip that's legendary, but I can't remember the name. I
would get away from the strip. The strip restaurants are fantastic,
but the fun really, the fun for me now in.

Speaker 5 (52:19):
Vegas is exploring.

Speaker 12 (52:22):
There's a long including that there's a Chinese place off
the strip as well. There are some fantastic, non big
hotel restaurant and that's what I recommend people explore, especially
if you're going this weekend, like Brown Fancy. If you're
going this weekend, it's going to be an.

Speaker 5 (52:37):
F one mess on the strip. Like pull up.

Speaker 12 (52:40):
The eater list e e A t e Er the
website Eater, pull up the eater list for Vegas. They
do top thirty eight restaurants and find a place off
the strip.

Speaker 3 (52:50):
I do at some point want to try the Golden
Steer Steakhouse. I've never eaten there. I see their videos
where they use like the giant lobsters. This look like
if I ever encountered them in the ocean, I might
have a heart attack. But they do the butter loogs
through the King crab leg you're eating and they have
bme rib is like, yeah, yeah, that's right. The Golden

(53:13):
stare baby, follow on the footsteps of Elvis and Sinatra.

Speaker 12 (53:19):
Butterlouge will be the name of my debut album if
I ever.

Speaker 3 (53:25):
It is a great name.

Speaker 2 (53:27):
Yeah all right, buddy, we'll get I'm glad, thank you
for taking safe precautions out there, and uh yeah, we'll
talk to again soon and they'll see you this weekend.

Speaker 5 (53:36):
The boys in Vegas can't wait.

Speaker 1 (53:39):
Baby.

Speaker 3 (54:30):
Here's your head coach, Kevin Stefanski.

Speaker 8 (54:32):
Okay, opportunity this week heading out to Vegas. Obviously getting
a lot of work done on their team and their schemes.
I think they do a great job. Obviously, have a
ton respect for coach Carol and then what they do offensively, defensively,
special teams, really a challenge in a bunch of different areas.
Look at the roster, some really really special players. Obviously

(54:55):
Max Crosby gets a lot of the attention on defense deservedly,
so Brock Bauers on their offenses outstanding, so really and
then special teams they got great returners, good core. So
it's going to be quite the challenge. And when we
got to go to school on this football team and
understand their schemes, understand what they're trying to do on

(55:17):
any given down. So that's where we're getting started. Schoudor
is going to start at quarterback. Dylan is still in
the concussion protocol. He is improving, but obviously we got
to put a plan together for all of our our players,
all of our our offense, our defense, our special teams
plan of attack, and give our guys a chance to
go execute and play fast. That's that's the goal. And

(55:38):
with that, I'll take any questions.

Speaker 11 (55:41):
So what do you think the outBut will be for
Shudor now that he's got a whole week of practice
to work with everybody and you guys can design a
game plan specifically.

Speaker 8 (55:49):
Yeah, I think you're always trying to do that, Mary
Kay with all your players, make sure that they're comfortable,
and it's no different with Shoudre in there. You want
to make sure that all the concepts are things that
he feels confident in. Obviously, you know, having been around
him over the months, you get a good sense of
the things that he's you know, meet fit his eye,

(56:10):
so to speak. So definitely want to lean into those
type of things and he's working very hard.

Speaker 5 (56:15):
Have you seen roads coming from that system of Colorado?

Speaker 4 (56:19):
What you guys? You know where you.

Speaker 3 (56:21):
Guys, have you seen grow kicking that out?

Speaker 8 (56:23):
Yeah, we've talked a lot over the course of these months.

Speaker 6 (56:26):
Is just learning.

Speaker 8 (56:29):
NFL defenses for young players, learning obviously our system, but
just I always point out to the quarterbacks that every
week you're facing a defense that has oftentimes has completely
different rules in the defense you just played, whether it's
how they play their cover three or some of their
blitz some of your blitz protection calls can vary weak

(56:50):
to week. So I just see Chador, Dylan, all of
our young guys, but in particular that quarterback room growing
a ton, both just with the x's and o's and
then all the work you do in individual periods. I
just think all that work adds up. So I do
see significant growth from Shudora and all these young guys.

Speaker 12 (57:10):
We talk the mental reps and the subtilas, how does
that what's the key to translating that when now he's
getting these physical reps in.

Speaker 3 (57:18):
Practice preparing for it.

Speaker 8 (57:20):
I think it just goes back to you know, we
talk about taking the practice field to the game field,
and you try and take the meeting room to the
practice field. There's a like I told the team this morning,
we throw so much at them, so much information, so
many details about our opponent and our game plan and
those type of things. And I think our players do
a really nice job of taking that to heart in

(57:41):
the meeting room and then going out on the practice field.
And Wednesdays are typically the day where there's you're still
crystallizing it in your mind, if you will, and still
getting some of the details down, but by the end
of Wednesday, you feel really good about the base game plan.
So I think that's just all quarterbacks are like that,
where you get the game plan on Tuesday for a
quarterback and you start spending some time with it, and

(58:02):
then probably the base game plan starts to you know,
really cement in your head sometime around Wednesday evening, what do.

Speaker 3 (58:10):
You think you should or do the best?

Speaker 8 (58:12):
In one hand, I think, yeah, obviously, you know he
battled to the end. We're right there on that final drive, Tony.
I think there's so many things that all of us
can do better in those moments so we can finish
with a win. But man, all of our guys and
then definitely should do or they battle to the end.

Speaker 7 (58:35):
He really wants to get to know the receivers and
their habits.

Speaker 3 (58:39):
And what they want and.

Speaker 2 (58:40):
Things like that.

Speaker 4 (58:41):
Just you know from your experience.

Speaker 3 (58:42):
Really, how long does that.

Speaker 7 (58:44):
Process typically take for any quarterback, not just a young guy,
but just any QB to really develop that inherent knowledge
about what.

Speaker 3 (58:54):
The supporting past w Yeah.

Speaker 8 (58:55):
I think listen, it's obvious that the more time and
the more reps period are always better. I do think
as you know, as quarterbacks, they sit in that room.
You watch a lot of tape together, so you watch
the receivers and sometimes you don't get the rep, but
you see how those guys come out. So that's what
you have to do as backups. That Chador does that

(59:16):
all of our guys do. When you're not getting that rep,
you're just making mental notes to yourself about how guys
come out of breaks. And there's a lot of dialogue
around that, certainly with the quarterbacks. And that's why, you know,
I should remark how this group really pushes each other,
but they support each other. I think that's you know,
a part of what coach Musk and coach Reese do

(59:37):
in that meeting room where they really are. It's a
collaborative effort. They work hard together.

Speaker 10 (59:43):
Neiber the offensive tackles on in the pre broacasenter repol.

Speaker 5 (59:46):
I think both one can do that.

Speaker 3 (59:49):
We'll see.

Speaker 8 (59:50):
I think both of them are going to practice in
a limited fashion today.

Speaker 4 (59:54):
You mentioned Prosy, but what kind.

Speaker 7 (59:55):
Of challenge does he present, especially for a rookie quarterback.

Speaker 8 (01:00:00):
Yeah, he's I have a ton of respect for how
he plays the game. He goes one hundred miles an
hour about one hundred percent of the time. He's just
he has the energy and the effort the finish for
a sixty minute football game. It's it's really impressive. He
can line up on either side. He can really show
up anywhere on the on the field. But the way

(01:00:23):
he plays is truly remarkable.

Speaker 4 (01:00:26):
We've David not pactice to day to see he can glace.

Speaker 1 (01:00:30):
I'd say day to day.

Speaker 8 (01:00:31):
But he's working hard because Miles is.

Speaker 5 (01:00:33):
On his taire he's always been done for some times.

Speaker 3 (01:00:36):
True, he's trying to block in.

Speaker 8 (01:00:38):
Again, I don't not really. I mean, he's seen it all.
He's seen and we've pointed out that the obviously the
chips by the tight ends, the chips by the running
backs to slide coming to him. I don't know that
teams have done anything differently this year other than to
continue to pay him a lot of attention. Okay, thanks guys, All.

Speaker 3 (01:01:01):
Right, Time to meet the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (01:01:02):
It's presented by Vivid Seats, official fan experience partner of
your Cleveland Browns. They are two and eight on the season.
Second I don't think they're second in the AFC West,
but they are last in the AFC West. Their head
coaches Pete Carroll. Their won seventy two one twenty eight
and one two to eight in Vegas his nineteenth year
as a head coach. The series record the Raiders lead
eighteen to ten. Last time out, Raiders won in Vegas

(01:01:25):
twenty two sixteen. Their last time out, they lost to
the Cowboys thirty three to sixteen on Monday Night Football.
Their offense is bad thirtieth, overall thirtieth and rushing twenty fifth,
in passing defense, middle of the table seventeenth, their fifteenth
and rushing nineteenth in passing. Their tournament disferential is plus
minus four. For more on the Las Vegas Raiders, Duc Dizze.

Speaker 3 (01:01:51):
This feels like when Stevie wouldn't help Kenny Powers pick
up his fix in sixes not picking up you fix.
It's Casin's Kenny Giant.

Speaker 6 (01:02:01):
He's worked into a shoot because Ceciliano called him a
hockey nerd. I think he watched the fight. Ceciliano.

Speaker 3 (01:02:07):
Is he in there with his yoger jersey on?

Speaker 5 (01:02:10):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
I like yagur you again? Great flow he got after
you last? What's that?

Speaker 4 (01:02:19):
What's wrong with it?

Speaker 2 (01:02:21):
Was a dynasty cuts you would be lem you were
Yager either one a lot of fun Ronnie Francis.

Speaker 3 (01:02:28):
Am I wrong?

Speaker 4 (01:02:28):
Wasn't?

Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
Yager also didn't have a nice run on the Kings
with uh no No, never played for the Yeah, you're wrong.
He played for the Ranger.

Speaker 6 (01:02:36):
He was adamant.

Speaker 2 (01:02:37):
He played for a bunch of teams. He played for
the Rangers, the Caps, the Pants. I think he's still
playing at like in his mid fifties. Good for you,
is in like check was in the Czech Republic or
something for him? Yes, yeah, yeah, it's remarkable. Yar o
mirror Army Yager.

Speaker 3 (01:02:50):
Yea great mullet.

Speaker 6 (01:02:52):
Great.

Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
When they retired his jersey, he still looks tremendous. Yeah,
when they retired as jersey in Pittsburgh, I want to
say it was last year he went out and skated
with like sid In those guys I like, I like
g Man like confirming all the things I'm saying.

Speaker 12 (01:03:05):
Yeah, notelling those hockey nerd things from Siciliana.

Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
That's as if, right, keV, as if I don't have
to talk about the NHL all the time.

Speaker 3 (01:03:14):
Yeah, who I'm thinking of? There's somebody that played with
Gretzky that was good somewhere else that.

Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
Garry Curry, Yary Curry or Marty McSorley. Marty mcsorley's probably
when you're talking. He was with Gretzky with Edmonton and
then they brought because he needed someone to enforce in
LA and they brought him do Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yagura
played Marty McSorley.

Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
Yagara played professionally from nineteen ninety till twenty and eighteen
in the NHL. That's crazy, yep, and still playing.

Speaker 6 (01:03:41):
By the way, Enough from the clown going at Siciliano,
Hello to the crud Siciliana. Let's be honest. Siciliano's culinary
choice in Vegas is likely wherever serves a fifty dollars smoothie.

Speaker 3 (01:03:53):
Second part fair, first part. Siciliano likes good food, and
I like that about immigrants a food. Yeah, he introduced
me Eater. The restaurant we found on Eater and Charlotte
was quite delightful. So that was that was a real true.
We've eaten some very good meals to the.

Speaker 4 (01:04:08):
Other this year.

Speaker 3 (01:04:09):
That's nice. Nice, that's been very nice.

Speaker 2 (01:04:11):
Yeah, building big prettyms you guys have for those to
be able to go.

Speaker 3 (01:04:14):
To those such nice places, not as much, all right,
go ahead, do your thing, all right, raiders, not good folks.

Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
This is come on, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey hey, come.

Speaker 3 (01:04:24):
On, come on. Gino Smith leads the NFL with thirteen
interceptions thirteen interceptions. He's throwing twelve touchdowns thirteen interceptions. Lot
you get him under pressure. He has not been good
unless you think six interceptions and a forty four rating
are good. No, so we can pressure them. Their Their
offensive line is not great. Their tackles have allowed nine

(01:04:46):
sacks and forty six pressures. Stone Forth Scythe and then
another one when bow was a DJ in in college,
DJ Glaze. That's their right tackle.

Speaker 6 (01:04:55):
Oh my gos.

Speaker 3 (01:04:55):
Yeah, they got so they're they're struggling. This is a
This is a tough line. Their center, Will Putnam was
an undrafted free agent. They're starting two guys who were
undrafted free agents, a sixth rounder. This is not a
great offensive line. They traded away their leading receiver, Jakobe Myers.
Trey Tucker is now the leading receiver on the team
along with Brock Bowers. Genty has been held under four
yards of carrying six straight games. Last week, they just

(01:05:17):
completely abandoned those Yeah, we're good. We don't need to
no handoffs.

Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
First thirty four plays thirty one were passes. Draft to have
be in the first round. Don't give him the ball.
We're good. Don't worry about no.

Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
If you're in a PPR league, least he did have
a career high six catches last week.

Speaker 2 (01:05:30):
If you did this, you'd be thinking, to yourself, My god,
do they have is the snake Stabler back there?

Speaker 3 (01:05:35):
They slinging it all over the place. Well, people don't know.
People who are really plugged in to the Raiders and
Raiders Lore would be wondering. You know, you say, Kenny
the snake Stabler. Others are saying, wait a second, is
this is this the nineteen ninety seven Oakland Raiders quarterbacks
by George opportunity Jeff George when he led the NFL

(01:05:57):
with three nine and seventeen yards passing, different league, different game.
I thought you were gonna say Turell Prior.

Speaker 2 (01:06:02):
Honestly, now, Jeff George is here, Jeff George that year,
in the year nineteen ninety seven.

Speaker 3 (01:06:06):
Let me just remind you. I think I've been reminded.
Three nine hundred and seventeen yards, twenty nine touchdowns, only
nine interceptions. Many people are calling the lory days of
the Silver and Blacks crazy. He doesn't have a gold jacket. Honestly,
Reggie Langorn would give him one, so Eric metcalf. They're
big fans, big fans, big, big, big Deke. Not so much. No, No,
I think I think he did things.

Speaker 6 (01:06:26):
I think cousin of Mo Pedman.

Speaker 3 (01:06:28):
I think Illinois he was not necessarily on his best behavior.
But in the NFL it was no big deal. Perhaps
it was a situation he's misunderstood w where he said.
Had I known I was going to go on to
be the greatest thrower of the football in human history,
I might have behaved differently in college. We can't say

(01:06:49):
it wasn't. Defensively, this is gonna be a four to
three base defense under Patrick Graham, the defensive coordinator on
that staff, the passing game coordinator, former Brown's defensive coordinator
Joe Wood. It's on the offensive staff by the White
Brown's former offensive line coach Andy Dickerson. They are led
by Max Crosby, the four time Pro Bowler. He's got
six sacks. Outside of that, Jonah Laulu he has got

(01:07:12):
four sacks. That's second on the team. He's a big
defensive tackle out Oklahoma, was a seventh round pick in
twenty twenty four out of INDI's having a great year
of four sacks, having a career year there. They're linebackers.
I mean they got Jamal Adams is playing linebacker for them.
Twenty nine tackles. By the way, how about this, he
has a sack this year. Remember Jamal Adams for a
long time led the NFL and NFL history for DB's

(01:07:34):
most sacks. That it's still true. He had twenty one
and a half in his first four seasons in the league.
I believe you're even at nine and a half. The
sack he got this year is in the first sack he's
had since twenty twenty. Z look that up. Verify for
that for me. I wrote that down. I think it's right.
I'm going, I'm going, all right, I get it. They're linebackers.
They've got Devin White, our guy, our guy, Devin White,

(01:07:57):
who's got ninety seven tackles already this season with three
tackles against the Browns will be his fourth one hundred
tackle season of his career. They've got a land In
Roberts who had a couple of tendred tackle seasons with
the Pittsburgh and Miami jam And Davis, a former first
round who got his first action last week. I mentioned
Jamal Adams, so that's a lot of you know, Devin
White was first round fifth overall, Jamal Adams first round,
sixth overall, Davis first round nineteenth overall. Their secondary, though

(01:08:20):
not as good. They brought Jeremy Chin, who was very
productive with Caroline. It's his first season there. He's got
seventy tackles. Isaiah Polamalu, who has been a pretty darn
good safety as well. Those are their two safeties. He's
got two interceptions. Corners Eric Stokes, who was the teammate.
If I'm not mistaken of Tyson Campbell at Georgia, it
seems right. That seems right twenty one, which will have
been theah they'd be right on. It was a He

(01:08:41):
was a first round pick out at Georgia of the
Green Bay Packers in twenty one, so it actually went
Stokes twenty ninth. Tyson Campbell went thirty third off of
that same Georgia Georgia team.

Speaker 2 (01:08:51):
I don't know if you know this. It's some pretty
good defensive lineman on those teams too. Pretty good linebackers
they've had. I mean, I think most of them are
are there on the Eagles.

Speaker 3 (01:08:59):
Yeah, they're corners though, they've got Stokes who is good.
They've got Kayu Blue Kelly who has two interceptions, five
passes defensive fifth round pick of the Ravens. You can
get after him. And they're Nickel Darnay Holmes sometimes are
Lonnie Johnson. They have both struggled. So I think that
this is again it's a team that you can throw
and they don't get to the quarterback a great deal.
You can have success throwing the football. They are the

(01:09:21):
third worst third down defense in the league. That's music
twa years because we're the third worst third down offense
in the league. So if we can get some conversions there,
keep drives going. But this is not a great football team.
It's kind of amazing that they're still trotting Gino Smith
out there and they're throwing it as much as they were.

Speaker 4 (01:09:38):
Now.

Speaker 3 (01:09:38):
I think they're going to probably reverse course and they're
going to run the heck out of the ball this week.
But as I said, you know, it's been six straight
games where Ashton genty has an average four yards carrier
and it's not his fault. He is a very good
running back. I'm talking some more coaches. You know, they
have a lot of respect for Ashton genty. They're just
not a great offensive line. They're not a great offense.
It's not a great team. But Max Crosby can be
a game wrecker for them, much like Miles Garrett and

(01:10:00):
be a game wrecker for us, and you cannot let
that happen. They just got smoked by the Cowboys. But
they have played some teams tough at home. Yeah, I
played the Jags very tough at home. So I don't
think it's you can't take it totally. Can't take them
for granted, can't take them lightly.

Speaker 2 (01:10:15):
Jamal Adams had nine and a half sacks in twenty
twenty and until the one that you just mentioned, he
had not had one since.

Speaker 3 (01:10:22):
Yes, yeah, yeah, that's right.

Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
So he went three and he went two sacks as
a rookie, and it's in seventeen three and a half
in year two, six and a half, nine and a half,
and then none. But to be honest with you, dude,
like he played twelve games in twenty one, then one
in twenty two, twenty three to nine and then twenty
four he played on three on two different teams. He
played a total of five games. So he just has

(01:10:45):
been banged up and injured, just hasn't really played but
a nine and a half sacks season out of a
Safety's crazy that last year in Seattle. His ability to
blitz the quarterback. I mean that was kind of that
one skill set that he had.

Speaker 3 (01:10:58):
Is that.

Speaker 2 (01:10:58):
Is this brand as good as any brand in professional sports?

Speaker 5 (01:11:02):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
The fact that, and I think you could make an
argument it might be the most effective brand in professional
sports because the fact that it is endured Los Angeles, Oakland,
Los Angeles, Oakland, Las Vegas, all of it works. They
haven't won in forever, and yet it still is iconic.

Speaker 3 (01:11:23):
I think the two our most successful would be them
and the Cowboys because the Cowboys, and I look at
it from not only the enduring nature and the Cowboys
haven't won anything meaningful in a long long time. Sure, yeah,
but they also are tied to cultural movements and cultural

(01:11:43):
moments like the show Dallas, which featured their state in
you know, Dallas Cowboys. That was for its time, and
then the Raiders were synonymous with what I grew up with,
which was a lot of West Coast hip hop and
NWA and ice Cube and.

Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
Well they had two, I mean, all of that in
Los Angeles. Then in the seventies they also kind of
had like this Hal's Angels and Steler and they had
that part of it too, So they kind of had both.
I mean, they seems like wherever they went they were
malleable to fit with the culture of that plan.

Speaker 3 (01:12:13):
The uniforms are just they're perfect. So the logo is incredible,
It's nuts. It's incredible.

Speaker 2 (01:12:19):
Yea, it is no like whoever who designed that log
I think al did.

Speaker 3 (01:12:23):
It's incredible, just completely nailed it. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:12:26):
And like the two color colors only black and silver.

Speaker 4 (01:12:29):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
Yeah, it's yeah, it's all of that. Vivid Seats Official

Do we have to do these exact now? Because you've

(01:13:39):
based this too much?

Speaker 3 (01:13:41):
They do it exactly?

Speaker 4 (01:13:42):
No? Right?

Speaker 13 (01:13:43):
Were we want to do one more week?

Speaker 3 (01:13:46):
No, let's do it. I'll try it. I think I
need to get we have how many games are you
this week?

Speaker 2 (01:13:51):
Do you have the full slay or no? You've got
fourteen fourteen games. So in order for it to be
a victory, like five hundred would be a victory, five
one hundred would be. So you think if you get
like sanity, you're usually going to be better at thirty
three percent better than thirty.

Speaker 3 (01:14:08):
Three percent forty percent, Okay, we'll call forty percent.

Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
I think in this case, I need to make so
out of fourteen games, you got to get six right
to win.

Speaker 3 (01:14:18):
I mean that's really hard, but yeah, fine, I think
let's make it tough for the kid.

Speaker 4 (01:14:22):
Make it tough.

Speaker 3 (01:14:22):
We know it, Ryan Day did.

Speaker 2 (01:14:23):
They're saying it's Ryan because they're doing too much, winning
by too much. Do you know what he did in Columbus?
What so their championship champion? In order to create a champion,
he had a grete eighty percent forever because of how
easy it's been, he switched.

Speaker 3 (01:14:37):
It to eighty three percent. Challenge me. The standard is
the standard. Standard is the standard. So I gotta get it.
I gotta get it exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:14:45):
You gotta get six, and you gotta get six exact
to wink my prediction.

Speaker 3 (01:14:50):
I think you're gonna get it.

Speaker 8 (01:14:50):
I do not.

Speaker 3 (01:14:51):
I think you're gonna get because no way, my thing's
all thrown off on the whole numbers and the hell.

Speaker 2 (01:14:56):
I think you're gonna be all right. I think you're
gonna get it. I'm very confident in you. Thursday Night Football.

Speaker 3 (01:15:03):
Bill's at Texans.

Speaker 2 (01:15:06):
This is an al Michael's Kirkirbstree and Kaylee Hartung No,
no c. J. Stroud, but Kirkirbstreet's dog will be there. Great, Yep,
Bill's at Texans.

Speaker 3 (01:15:16):
Bill's minus six and a half. It's six, gosh, Dad,
So that's an old win. Though it's an old win,
but that's a current loss. I'll keep track. Well, yeah,
you keep track of them.

Speaker 5 (01:15:30):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:15:31):
Now we're onto the Sunday slate one o'clock.

Speaker 2 (01:15:33):
Did you say it was six? So now there's a
whole number, that first whole number we've had in forever. Oh,
Gibby's really excited about these whole numbers, all right.

Speaker 3 (01:15:43):
One o'clock.

Speaker 2 (01:15:45):
Patriots at Bengals, Patriots at Bengals.

Speaker 6 (01:15:49):
Joe Burrow forgot Steelers Bears.

Speaker 2 (01:15:51):
I'll get to it, okay, okay, I'll keep I'll keep
it in this order. We'll go Steelers at Bears. First,
Steelers at Bears, Iron Eagle, JJ Watt, evanshburn.

Speaker 3 (01:16:00):
On the call. Steelers at Bears, Bears minus two and
a half.

Speaker 2 (01:16:06):
Got it, got it, got it, got it. I told you, dude,
have faith. I got faith. Greatness none I pulled out.

Speaker 3 (01:16:15):
I pulled out something today that Gibbe I got really
mad at. So g Man asked questions, which I will
ask to you and give you an opportunity answer. Who
is the act?

Speaker 6 (01:16:23):
I didn't get mad. I was like, that's amazing.

Speaker 8 (01:16:26):
He was mad.

Speaker 3 (01:16:27):
There's a party that was unhappy.

Speaker 6 (01:16:29):
About at all. I was genuinely like, that's that's insane
that you pulled back.

Speaker 3 (01:16:34):
I appreciate that. Who is the active leader in yards
perception in the NFL? And this person can be on
a roster or on a practice squad? A yards per
se is there a minimum one hundred and fifty catches?

(01:16:54):
So they've played, Yeah, they've played a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:16:59):
This isn't it because you put the practice squad in there,
tells me it's a practice squad guy, I'm Jamison Williams.

Speaker 3 (01:17:05):
Good guess is not correct? The answer was Marquez Valdez scanty,
which I got.

Speaker 5 (01:17:09):
You've got that.

Speaker 3 (01:17:10):
Yeah, that's amazing. The practice squad helped me because I
know he just signed on. Oh he's somebody's practice Pittsburgh,
Pittsburgh Rogers. You've been with the Niners, all right?

Speaker 2 (01:17:24):
Patriots at Bengals Harlan Trent Green and Melanie Collins. Joe
Burrow a full participant in eleven on eleven Today. What
in the blue hell are they gonna play him in
a game where Jamar Chase doesn't play.

Speaker 3 (01:17:39):
No chance they're targeting Thanksgiving? Yeah, Patriots minus six and
a half.

Speaker 2 (01:17:49):
M hm, you had got this one wrong, both seven
and a half. M seven and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:17:55):
And we literally just updated the I'm it because I'm
going to get to see if I was doing in
it the other way. I would have said seven. I
thought it was six and a half. Seven, seven, I
would I would have gotten yeah, But now I'm trying
to guess them. Now you're trying to exactly. Now you're
going to have to hit him exactly, So I really
i'd be three.

Speaker 2 (01:18:13):
And in the now you're not. You're not choosing the
wine in front of you or me? All right, Uh, Giants,
the Giants at Lions, Giants at Leo's all.

Speaker 3 (01:18:25):
Right, I'm gonna go Lions minus ten and a half
for the game. I would have said ten. It's ten
whole numbers, yes, so I'd be four. This is this
is very hard, exactly. That's okay, that's so fun. That's fine.
I like it. But so far i'd be right there
on the original you'd be right where you should be. Yeah,

(01:18:47):
you'd be right to be dominates. And now you're one
and three because yes, seven Vikings at Packers, Vikings at Packers,
Joe Davis, Greg Olsen, Oliver, I know I don't Vikings
at Packers. This feels vegua as zoney to me. Well,

(01:19:09):
now that feels like there's whole numbers this week, which
was really throwing me off. I'm gonna say, packers minus five,
packers minus six.

Speaker 6 (01:19:18):
Somebody's been listening to the program, boy, that's.

Speaker 3 (01:19:23):
What There's a lot of them. Yeah, Gibbs was right.

Speaker 6 (01:19:26):
And one that was talking trash.

Speaker 2 (01:19:33):
Seahawks at Titans, Seahawks at.

Speaker 3 (01:19:37):
Titans, Seattle minus thirteen and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:19:40):
Got it exactly. Let's go what a job at you?
Got it exactly? Colts, it's at Titans. It's a home
giving thirteen and a half at home. Colts at Chiefs,
Nance Romo on this one, Colts at Chiefs. What do

(01:20:01):
you do with Kansas City? I don't know, what do
you do with Kansas City?

Speaker 3 (01:20:09):
Five and five? One and a half, three and a half.
By the way, who I said that strategically because I
think it could be the Colts one and a half
Kansas City three and a half.

Speaker 6 (01:20:19):
That's outrageous.

Speaker 3 (01:20:20):
Yep, that's outrageous.

Speaker 2 (01:20:23):
Yeah, that's that Buckeye Lakers bump that there's so many
people who bet on them they're covering. Wow, Jets at Ravens,
Jets at Ravens, Tyrod Taylor, you're starting.

Speaker 3 (01:20:35):
Quarterback of the New York Football Jets. Jets at Ravens.
For the other game, I would have said fourteen. I'm
gonna say fourteen and a half. It was thirteen and
a half, so I would have got all right, six
and two. Gosh, this is it's hard. Well, yeah, this
has an impossible task. No, it's not all right. Four

(01:20:57):
o'clock window now us at the Raid Raiders Raiders minus four,
got it exactly?

Speaker 6 (01:21:08):
Did you look at that one?

Speaker 3 (01:21:09):
It's hard for him, it's hard, hard not to see it.
But I just for the record, it has been different
than what I've seen many times. A couple of times
the Cup tubs. I've in fact got it wrong because
I thought I knew it.

Speaker 2 (01:21:20):
Yeah, and you're like, wait a second, we're up to three.
There's no way you got three six yeah. I mean, honestly,
if you get two more, it'd be I think that's
a win too. Jaguars at Cardinals.

Speaker 3 (01:21:29):
The other one is just too easy now that one
the other one, we're already at seven wins. Jaguars are Cardinals,
Jaguars are six and four. I don't like this at all.
Jags minus two and a half, Jags minus three. So
old way you would have got it. The irony is

(01:21:49):
I would have old weighed that three. There's twice now
that I would have old way that I would actually
a ten and this one yep, so I have won
the other game. This is your American Game of the
I already have eight.

Speaker 2 (01:22:00):
Eagles at Cowboys, Burkhart Brady on the call with Andrews
and Ronaldi.

Speaker 3 (01:22:06):
Now they're gonna annoy me because I'm going to say
this time.

Speaker 2 (01:22:08):
Oh, Eagles minus three, and it's gonna end up being
like three and a half. Which one are you gonna say?

Speaker 5 (01:22:14):
Three?

Speaker 3 (01:22:15):
I'm sticking with it three and a half. I should
have changed it because what you said, I give you
a lean. There you did.

Speaker 4 (01:22:25):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:22:25):
Falcons at Saints.

Speaker 2 (01:22:28):
Drew Brees returning to New Orleans to call this one
with Adam Ammon and Christina pink.

Speaker 3 (01:22:33):
On the call. Falcons at Saints, Saints minus one and
a half. Is that right? Got it? Let's know you
got four gabril.

Speaker 2 (01:22:48):
It ain't over yet, baby, all right, all right, it
ain't over yet. Buccaneers at Rammitt Sunday Night Football, Bucks
at Rams.

Speaker 13 (01:23:00):
All right, the Bills, If I am not mistaken, and
I don't believe that I am were.

Speaker 3 (01:23:16):
It was five and a half last week, I have
and a half. I think the Rams are better, better
than the Bills, and I think that Vegas would think
that the Rams are better than the Bills. Both road games.
I'm gonna go.

Speaker 2 (01:23:27):
Stafford is twenty five fifty seven, twenty seven touchdowns, two picks.

Speaker 3 (01:23:30):
That's very good.

Speaker 2 (01:23:31):
He might be the NBA. How many touchdowns? Twenty seven?
And just name the last quarterback who might be finish.
Let's see if you get this anybody opened, everybody? Yeah,
there is a quarterback who threw twenty seven touchdowns with
two picks in a season, Nick Foles.

Speaker 3 (01:23:49):
Chip Kelly was the I was gonna say chip Kelly
was gonna be the hint, but that I didn't need it.
Didn't know that I knew that a big break on bow.
That's right, that's the one that that's one that'll stick
in your mind forever.

Speaker 2 (01:24:00):
I just remember looking at it going like is this real?
And it went so well early? It's like why did
he get fired? Like he had success right away? They
movies he went twenty seven and two, twenty seven to two.

Speaker 3 (01:24:11):
With Nick Foles, like, what are we doing all right?

Speaker 14 (01:24:13):
Bucks at Rams, I know it's in the six and
a half, seven, seven and a half, I know, I
just know it.

Speaker 3 (01:24:27):
I know in my gut.

Speaker 2 (01:24:30):
Rams minus seven, let's go, let's go.

Speaker 3 (01:24:46):
It is that's five I need there.

Speaker 2 (01:24:48):
It is Pedro Carolina, the unbeatable Carolina Panthers in San Francisco,
to take on the team of your new youth, the
Sen Francisco forty Niners.

Speaker 3 (01:25:00):
Who just smoked Arizona this one. I still feel like
Vegas has a lot of respect for the Niners. Gosh,
I could talk myself into three and a half, I
could talk myself into five and a half, and I
could talk myself into six and a half, seven, seven
and a half. No, I'm on Pedro, put down this

(01:25:27):
Pimoni Niners minus six and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:25:39):
Seven, Wow, the games, the game is back.

Speaker 3 (01:25:46):
It was seven.

Speaker 2 (01:25:47):
What an effort out of you picking exactly five and eight.
Incredible effort. Four downs coming up next is almost a joke.

Speaker 6 (01:26:38):
Kep hit it first down? All right, rapid fire. What
is your level of concern for the health of Ohio
State's wide receivers one through three? Not worried?

Speaker 2 (01:26:48):
Four through seven, worried, eight through ten? Panic boat, You're
closer to it, skinning me the most the latest updates? Please,
they don't have any They're going to rely on their
medical staff.

Speaker 3 (01:27:00):
I mean he's given nothing. What do you know? What
do I know.

Speaker 2 (01:27:05):
I wouldn't play either one of them this week, and
I'd make sure they're ready for Michigan, and my senses
they will be.

Speaker 3 (01:27:11):
Then that would be a one not worried. Yeah, next.

Speaker 1 (01:27:17):
Second down.

Speaker 6 (01:27:20):
If old miss head coach Lane Kiffin doesn't tell the
school he's returning in twenty twenty six before the school's
Egg Bowl deadline, then this has been reported. He's denied it,
but supposedly he has a deadline of the eleven, twenty
eight game against Mississippi State, should the Rebels allow Kiffin
to coach in the College Football Playoff.

Speaker 2 (01:27:41):
All right, I'm going to do this as as succinctly
as possible because I want to articulate how stupid college
football is that they're in this spot. To begin with,
the national signing day for college football, the one that
now really matters, is in the middle of December. The
transfer portal opens in December closes in January. In other words,
if you want to hire a coach, you feel like

(01:28:01):
you have to do one in time for that signing
day in that portal. The College Football Playoff is fought
in December and January. Correct, the calendar's the problem, Yes,
it's not his fault.

Speaker 3 (01:28:15):
What do you want him to do?

Speaker 2 (01:28:16):
This is how Luke Wickle ended up at Wisconsin because
he was loyal to Cincinnati and who wanted to coach
him in the playoff. But the reality is he should
have done the other thing, which is go to Notre
Dame or USC So that's why we're in this spot.

Speaker 3 (01:28:28):
I don't know what you do.

Speaker 2 (01:28:29):
My hunch is because of the situation they're in it's
almost impossible for them not to make the playoff, that
he won't take either job and he'll just stay at
Ole Miss. And maybe that's the right decision anyway, because
as long as he keeps having success, there will be
other jobs in the SEC that come op when he's young.
But this is really a calendar problem in college football
that the adults in the room have ruined.

Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
Agreed, and let's get back this now. He was on
McAfee yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:28:51):
Yeah, Well, he had a teleconference today and SEC telecoonference
today where he's asked.

Speaker 3 (01:28:55):
About it over and he continues to vehemently deny that
there was an ultimatum made, there is any deadline. He
had his running back on with him yesterday on McAfee.
Many people are saying is the best running back in
college football outside maybe a kid in Notre Dame. Yeah,
somebody did say most complete running back in football. Yeah,
might have been Riddickov. He's a great comedian. He's a

(01:29:16):
big Mississippi guy. Yeah, let's go he is.

Speaker 2 (01:29:19):
I mean, like I might have been ridic Lane Lane
Kiffen introduced him to his wife, like is like someone
ex wife, like the dater all that.

Speaker 3 (01:29:25):
Yeah, there's a connection there. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:29:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:29:28):
Uh so he's going to coach them throughout this season,
as my opinion, Yeah, and he should. He should get
to coach him. These things should all happen. Here's the problem.

Speaker 2 (01:29:38):
This, This needs to be after the n This would
be this is this would very possibly could happen. If
he took the LSU job for the Florida job, most
of his team would jump in the portal.

Speaker 3 (01:29:51):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:29:52):
His entire staff would have to go with him because
he would take a lot of them with him to
recruit and to sign guys in the portal.

Speaker 3 (01:29:58):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:29:59):
So if he he goes to one of those jobs,
Ole miss who is six in the country with one loss,
might not be able to field a team to play
in the playoff.

Speaker 3 (01:30:09):
That's how broken this is. If the NFL can have
its draft in April and free agency in March for
a season that starts at the same time, there's no
reason that the portal needs to be at that point
after everything's shaken out.

Speaker 2 (01:30:21):
I would be if we had more time, I would
give you the calendar. That's very simple. That would work
for everybody. But there's a minute left in the show,
and I don't another day.

Speaker 6 (01:30:28):
We'll do turn Down Factor fiction. Texas will ultimately make
this year's college.

Speaker 3 (01:30:33):
Football I don't think so. But if they are in
a discussion of a group of four teams to get in,
and I think that for they produced there's a TV
show they're producing here, I think that they would like
Texas to be in it.

Speaker 6 (01:30:45):
Yeah, they get three losses, I think we'll Sark be
the head coach one year from now.

Speaker 2 (01:30:49):
Yeah, yep, I know he's fielded the same questions Manny's
coming around.

Speaker 3 (01:30:54):
I think yeah, I think.

Speaker 6 (01:30:55):
They'll be okay, all right, that's going to wrap up
this week's college football.

Speaker 2 (01:30:59):
Mate, my biggest beef with the college football rankings this week,
and you're rarely gonna hear me come to battle for
Alabama but Alabama has two losses. They have the same
two losses that Notre Dame does, and they're somehow behind
Notre Dame. Third Dame's quality winds are USC and pet.

Speaker 3 (01:31:13):
Stop wins way better wins. Yes, it's not.

Speaker 2 (01:31:16):
