Football League right now and appropriately so.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
But before we.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Get into that, sure, you know, sometimes there is you're
just in the presence of greatness and.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
It moves you.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
And that happened, okay yesterday, elaborate on this program. As
we were going off the area yesterday, you said, and
I quote.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
I remember what I said, Texans are just going to
go beat them.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
Don't need we don't need the points, no nothing, straight up,
outright outright.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Boom, You're welcome. Doctor J's clapping, he knows, he knows
that's right.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Give a still nonplussed.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Appreciate clapping went like this, he would give a point greatness.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
Yeah, I know your little moment together.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
Acknowledge me. We're acknowledging Bo. You don't even even pay attention.
You're so unhappy about what's going to happen. When we
get to the over under segment that you're checked out.
You are checked out totally speaking of and being in
the presence of greatness.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
We all are right, we.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
All are right.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Now, We'll just go ahead, John little teaser. Some would
say it's perfections. You could, you could say it, you
could make the case you could, Yeah, sure or false.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Mister Purfect's debut was on Sunday, Saturday night main event
with that vignette. Is that the first time that we
were introduced to.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Its like that vignette would have done it?
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Yeaheverything was.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
He just went through all the sports and Steve Jordan
remember that Minnesota Vikings?
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Is that oh he did?
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:35):
That's when the football one? Yeah, oh that's him.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Yeah, Steve Jordan, isn't that right?
Speaker 4 (02:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:39):
That was so great.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Mister perfect also great friend of Wade Boggs, makes sense
and saved Wade Boggs's life.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Is that real? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:48):
They were? I believe the story here google this, then
you can fact check me in real time.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
But I believe the.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
Story goes that they were they were really good friends,
mister Perfect, Kurt Hennig and way Bugs, and that they
were hunting together and they went over a fence and
the fence like gashed the barbed wire barbed wire fence,
and it gashed Wade Bogs like severely where he's losing
(03:15):
a lot of blood, and mister Perfect, being the stud
that he is, basically put him on his back, on
his shoulders and carried him out of there so he
could get medical attention that had he not nailed it,
he would have died.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Yeah, he was. He was tangled in a barbed wire fence.
And then uh, mister perfect Freedom carried him several miles
to their truck and brought him to a hospital, saving
him from bleeding to death. How about that? What a
job at you? And what a job out of mister perfect. Fantastic,
absolutely perfect. We don't need perfect from Shoudoor Sanders on Sunday.
(03:47):
No one expects perfect out of Shoudoor Sanders on Sunday.
But I'm damn excited to see how he plays. I'm
very excited. I think Shador Sanders.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
After talking to him today, I think he expects he's
expecting perfect, He's ready to go. He feels good about it,
and uh, yeah, I think that this is going to
be this is It's not often in a scenario like
this you get what is can only be described as
musty TV. Yeah, I think that's fair musty TV, and
(04:14):
that's what this is going to be. It is going
to be musty TV. I know that around I was
talking with Ross Tucker, who's on the broadcast with great
Tom McCarthy, and like there, I know that networks around
the country are actually trying to get access to this game.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
Now.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Whether they will or not, I have no idea. Yeah,
it's not just Ohio that there are other places that
are trying to I'm sure.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Well, I wonder when one of the Broncos places I
was looking into, like where are they? They're on a
bye so you Colorado eye, So I'm sure Colorado wants it. Yep,
they want it. I know Columbus tried. I did not
get an update today. I for really I forgot to
get an update today on Comba your plug. Yeah, I
had forgot to ask we were doing. I was too
(04:59):
busy prepping State Senior Day against Rutgers. Also, I don't
know if you're aware, it's really locked into a.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
Big yeah, big locking. What did you did you trot
out on your on your program down South? Did you
trot out Zigura at quarterback minus fourteen?
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Who's in hold on a second, because I have I do,
So that's what.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
I'm curious about. Also, today, want to big thank you
to our great friend of the show, linebacker coach Jason
Tarvar Gimi will shout out and his presser today, So
thank you for that, Tarv. I appreciate that very nice. Indeed,
it was from the interview that I did with Cars
and Swestinger, which we will hear today, right jibe.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
So right in terms of you will in terms of
you you me, I went, I think seven and a half,
and I think you said fourteen and a half. Yeah,
fourteen and a half is what you were. You were
thinking for a couple of time you could go in
and quarterback the Buckeyes. So I was having this conversation
and I did not have it on air, but I
was having the conversation with someone because I did want
(05:57):
to workshop it a little bit. And I went my
Buddy's delusional. Let's just probably I went to as I
was saying it out loud, the absurdity of it was
quite obvious. Let me finish that, the absurdity of it
was quite obvious that a man who had never played
organized professional football at any level. Hold on, I know
(06:21):
about the Accolades and the Georgia Flag Football League, but
had never played organized football in any manner, could somehow,
at the advanced age of his mid forties.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
I'm younger now than ever.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Yep, that someone like that could go into play against
Division one, big ten athletes quarterback a football team as
good as the Ohio State one is to a victory
over anyone. And as I'm saying this out loud, I
am aware of how absurd this all sounds. But then
as I'm done saying it, then I also have to
(06:55):
understand how convincing you can be. You're you're very good salesman.
I think your only flaw when we have, like any
sort of issues, when we go offense or defense attorneys
prosecution or defense, is you lead the witnesses. In this instance,
you are the witness, I am the witness, and so
you're great at leading the prosecution to believing what you
(07:18):
want you I so as as I'm saying, and then
I start thinking because I've seen I know you got
a good and you got a good arm, and you
can whip it. Tars was very impressed today. Yeah, there's
a great many people who are impressed. And and then
I was thinking like, okay, like if it was going
to happen, Like what would it look like, what would
he have to do to be able to do it?
(07:40):
Like what would be the requirement to win? You probably
would see ten in the box, nine in the box.
Always you'd have nine in the box, and they'd say,
good luck, old man, Let's see if you can how
this goes? And then and and so you basically what
I think you'd have to do is because of how
poor run. Now, Rutgers a five and five football team,
(08:01):
so this isn't like you're playing a one double A which,
by the way, even that like to even I always
have this conversation with like kids, like how hard it
is to play like NCAA Division two football, the type
of athlete you have to be let alone like Ohio
State Big ten level football. So what I came down
to was their defense is so good that I don't
(08:23):
think Rutgers will score much of anything on him. Maybe seven.
Then can you lead? Can you make probably five throws
over the course of sixty minutes that are money throws?
Can you make five five go throws to Jeremiah where
you put it in a place where only he can
get it, or I mean that's really what it's gonna.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Come down and just underthrow it and he can just
come back.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
You might be able to. Yeah, you might be able
to that. So that's really what it comes down to.
And I go back to I think I have the
right number. I think it's seven and a half.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
I appreciate that. I do think you could. Yeah, I
think all right, So two things. Number One, owner my
people out there. Actually, I'm not gonna use one of
the examples. I'm just let's cross that example out. That's
not fun for any of us to relive. I'm going
to ride people of I believe it was Christmas Day.
Christmas Day a couple of years ago, the Raiders, quarterbacked
(09:16):
by Aid and O'Connell okay, went into Kansas City and
beat the Chiefs in a game in which they did
not complete a pass after the first quarter.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
True. Yeah, that's true, that did happen, and that just
won the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
They did win the Super Bowl. In fact, that ended
up serving as a great wake up.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Call for the That's a great point out of you,
the Raiders.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
That is a the Raiders beat the Chiefs, who would
be better talent?
Speaker 2 (09:47):
I think the talent comparison is very similar though, the
Raiders then versus Rutgers, Ohio State versus Kansas City.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
And then with that the other side one. Now we're
talking about what's a lopsided talent situation. I mean I
just saw Jordan Reed, He's initial top fifty. Yeah, and
there was like six Buckeyes in the top twenty. Yes,
three or four in the top ten, including players one
and two, none of whom are the quarterback because not
draft eligible, and jeremore Jeremiah. Yeah, so I'm feeling pretty good.
(10:15):
The other thing I like, do is doctor J. Doctor
J played college football?
Speaker 2 (10:21):
He did, Yes, he did.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
We've had a throwing says and doctor J. Do you
think I could make five throws in a game?
Speaker 4 (10:27):
Easy?
Speaker 2 (10:27):
Easy to J.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
I didn't know what he was going to say. That's
a just on the spot, real question.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Look at him, though, the great Doctor J. That's awesome,
is so? I think seven and a half.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
I think you can discuss it. He's lost that room,
that's our room. That's oh, there are one hundred percent.
There are guys, and we're there. Guys are they would
definitely all the fixes.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
We will love nothing more than to put you under center.
And I want to be in the booth for it.
That would be amazing. I think I'll be a day
that we will all never forget.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Do you think I could get a rise out of
Paul Keel's.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
Don't besmirch the voice of the buck guy?
Speaker 3 (11:07):
What is that a besmirch? I was asking, do you
think I could get a rise at him?
Speaker 4 (11:10):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
I'll ask Big Daddy if he could. That would be
so we walked together, called the game together. I know
you have. It'd be great if if I could get
maybe I'll see if I get the Big Daddy to
record a a a zagora to to Jeremiah touchdown, touchdown.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
I'd like to see how that sounds. Yeah, yeah, see
how if it sounds reasonable? See if it sounds reasonable?
Speaker 4 (11:32):
Amazing?
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Mean Scott Bakula did it? Yes? How hard can it be?
How hard can it be? I'd love to find field goal.
She was Yeah, she was crushing field goals. Manu Manu
the Slenders a great t tackle too. Yes, really got
after it.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
So anybody who can if Okay, we just named four characters.
Now we use some of their real names, and one
who was actually the name of Manu Manu the Slender was.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Absolutely the name of the guy in the film. But
great film.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
Yeah, that's where's that at? That's never you've ever scroll
You're you're a scroller. You never scroll on.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
That, Ed Gennaro, I believe the coats also who was
the and then.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
The guy who was the I would call, I guess
the general manager of the hotel. And pretty woman is
also yes on the staff as well. Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah,
I like that.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
So you settled on yes, Yes, I thought yeah, I
felt like I was right. I would I thought seven
and a half and that seems like a good number.
I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Our scenario makes that game so much more interesting as
a television product than what it's what it is going
to be. This is why I said a long time ago,
no joke. I've been trying to do this when I
was a much younger, I was in my thirties and
had a much better shot at actually pulling this off
that in the fourth quarterback when there were four preseason games,
that we do a content piece where like I go
(12:55):
through all the quarterback meeting rooms, the drills. You film
it all so you can get a kind of a
sexual way to see what actually he was into all this.
And then in the fourth core of the fourth preseason game,
I get a series and for every yard I get,
you know, this gets donated to charity or whatever.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Yeah, I think it'd be hilarious. Yeah, why did you
not play football in high school?
Speaker 3 (13:14):
Pedro's not Pedro's yoke. Yeah, not about that at all.
Prototypical size, not about that.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
No, I did not.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
We had the height brother when I graduated.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
Well you do is get in the right room A
little bit.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
Didn't matter.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
I ate more.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
I was not allowed at multiple friends homes for how
much I ate six six four one fifty dripping wet.
Just couldn't Metabola was of a hummingbird. They told me.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
I was taking two thousand calorie weight gangs shakes multiple
times a day, and he didn't matter.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Didn't matter, eating a gallon of ice cream before I
go to bed, nothing, bub kiss. But if I was
built like this now, yeah, or then if I was
built like I am.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
But that's you wouldn't be is that they would have
made you a d end if you were a high
school kid at that size now.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
Would like a shooting guard and a quarterback, a slinger
of the pill.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Yeah, so yeah, seven and a half. I like it.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
Would you Gibbey? Would you wait? Where would you put
the vast Gibbe estate on me? Or on Rutgers? Rutgers Rutgers?
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Still, yeah, that would delight me to make you homeless.
As an added note, motus, well, they have the worst
rush defense. They're really bad against the rush.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
And you you don't think I could hand it off
to the running backs of the Ohio State University.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
I just think, are you completing passes? Are you handing
it off? They were playing again, We're just trying to
win the game. But I'm gonna complete it. They're gonna
put nine in the box and it's they're gonna put
some one on ones on the out. We did say,
and I don't. I mean, I think there's a As
a side note, I think there's some real red Frank
flags around Carnial Tate. I do think Jeremiah Smith's gonna
be fine. But for the sake of this conversation, both
(14:51):
in this is wide receiver.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
You.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Yeah, they got guts, they've got good dudes. But Jeremiah
is the cheap code. Like, he's the one where you
just you could just kind of throw it. Here is
the thing you put nine in the box, We've got
two on the outside. They just run a slant. I
just throw a slant.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
Gone house call. Yeah, we might score one hundred.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
I think the throw that would make the most sense
would be anything fade, just any fade down the sideline
to four, and then I think you'd be in good ship,
all right. Practice as I'm hurt that you would bet
on Rutgers. No, I think it's very on brand. You
wouldn't expect it any other way. It would seem it
would seem authentic. The other way.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
I tried to put a verse maloic on me. I'm
not trying to put a moloic on you. You don't
get them telling you like you're cursed, You're you're not
just you know, just walking out on the field.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Let me tell you something.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
A division when you say I'd like to stay in
the guest suite in the basement of your house. You
know I'm gonna say no, Doctor j and the g
man they can come over, come right in.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
Fine.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
They can even change diapers of screaming babies in the
middle of the he doesn't scream like a baby.
Speaker 4 (15:54):
A baby.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
And now that we're in the the weaned mode, which
was off the snow, you got to wean them off
the snow, so they get ready to sleep in a
Crimpso this new no longer moves. He's sleeping even better.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
He's crushing it.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
We're having to wake him up at seven twenty, like buddy,
they're starting today. Come up, Come on down, baby. Then
you walk in and he goes like this, he says you,
I can guess hey, biggest smile.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
It's unbelievable. He believes in me. Of course he does. Maybe, maybe, yeah,
I think you could do this. A couple of things.
Final injury report of the week out this week. Alex Right,
Jamari Thrash, Dylan Gabriel questionable, Jack Conklin Raiders report not
out until a little bit later today is of course
they are Are they Mountain time? Are they Pacific? Now?
Speaker 4 (16:36):
Pacific?
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Okay, they're Pacific.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
Have a question.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Max Crosby popped up on the injury report yesterday.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
He's gonna be fine. He's gonna be fine.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
What was what was to Jamori thresh What was the
official injury? Gibbet Uh?
Speaker 4 (16:50):
Jamori Thrash had a foot.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Foot It's got a foot?
Speaker 2 (16:55):
All right? There you go. We did have a game
last night. What do you This goes back to a
conversation you and I were having a couple of weeks
ago about how wide open all this is. Buffalo gets
beaten badly in Miami two weeks ago, wins at home
last week convincingly, and then they were Houston. I know,
(17:18):
but like goes to Houston without Davis, without c. J.
Stroud and Davis Mills wasn't he was sixteen to thirty.
It's not like he was thirty. He's fine.
Speaker 4 (17:26):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
Their defense is very very good. Houston's is very very good.
But what is happening here? You have the Bills now
at seven and four. The Chiefs are five and five,
Baltimore is five and five For four and five. For
Baltimore's four and five.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
They've had to play ten games. They've had to have
played ten games. I think they are four? Are they
four and six? Ravens are five and five? Five and five?
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Oh, even they're five and five. Kansas City's five and five.
And here's the deal, right, Bills are now seven and four,
And the reality is that because the Patriots now are,
it's hard to magistaria where the Patriots don't win that division.
So Buffalo is gonna have to be a wildcard at best.
Now Kansas City is not catching in the AFC West,
(18:13):
They're gonna have to be a wildcard at best. There's
this glut of teams in the AFC South plus the Chargers,
and then what do you do with Baltimore and Pittsburgh.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
Well, it's gonna come down. Baltimore is gonna have to
win the division. They're a game back. I think that's
that's their best path, right, is to go in the
division and to get that win. And the Ravens are
undefeated in the division thus far. Yes, so they've beaten
US and they've beaten I think they have two to
(18:45):
go with the Steelers, Is that right, Baltimore?
Speaker 4 (18:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (18:49):
Yeah, so they go they go Cincinnati twice too. Oh
so they've only played US, Yeah, they have Steelers twice
Bengals twice.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
They're now remaining three games are Bengals, Steelers, Bengals.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
Dude, if Burrow doesn't have to pay Borough man at
playing this week, But if Burrow doesn't play Thursday, and
we did this when they were one and five, they're
gonna be favored in every game they have the rest
of the way, except for maybe now Patriots at home
on the twenty first. That might be the only one
they're not favored in. Yes, that's it. Yeah, that's it.
(19:24):
There's not enough spots, buddy, no, no, and Buffalo needed
that one to try to stay within striking distance of
New England. They are at the Steelers next week, then
Bengals at Patriots, then they're here then Jets and or
Eagles and Jets is how they will finish the schedule
for the Buffalo Bills. So that's it's a much more
(19:47):
robust schedule than for say Baltimore has. And now they
only lead Baltimore by a game and a half, and
Baltimore's got a game this weekend to get within a game. Yep.
Kansas City is in absolute must mode this week they
host the Colts. I mean, you can't go to five
and six because these AFC South teams, dude, like now
(20:08):
Houston six and five, they're Jacksonville six and.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
Four, like Colts at Cowboys home Texans home Chargers. They
need to win probably all four of those, but at
least three of those three would get them to eight
and six. At Titans nine and six home Broncos is
gonna be would be is going to be a monster
game they win, Yeah, and then they get the Raiders
at the end, which that feels like that'll be a win.
(20:32):
But yeah, they've got to They've got to win three
of their next four.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
It's wild, Yeah, and it is. It's something Colts I
don't think will be caught.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
No, Denver's not being caught.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
I don't think.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
I don't think New England is either. Now. No, they're
two full games up on Baltimore, but are on Buffalo
rather but really they're three because they have the tiebreaker
right now in that they won.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
I think New England's tough to New England's situation is
pretty remarkable. They're at Bengals this week and it's it
sounded like it was going to be Burrow and then
today to me, it sounds a little bit like it's
going to be Flacco. It's kind of my feeling of listening.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
So yeah, within the last like half hour, it seems
like everything swung back to Joe Flacco. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
No, one's straight down there in terms of who's playing
or who's not.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
But if you don't know by now.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
Yeah, I mean yeah, so, I mean I I do
think they'll suit up Joe though, but I like, if
you suit him, uph wouldn't you play him? I guess
I don't.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
Here's here's the thing they got because they play on
Thanksgiving night. It's quick turnaround. So maybe you just like
just give him a few more days and.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
Yeah, for sure, but like that it truly is. It's
a must must win for them. They I mean even now,
there's fate chances with seven losses, but if you pick
up the eighth loss, it's over. So like if you
want to have the de you know that some sort
of false hope of making the postseason, you gotta win
out like play Burrow, Yes he can play, and he
(22:00):
did all the eleven on eleven. They just have mone
or said if he did eleven on eleven with the Sun,
I know they haven't. Yeah, but the new England case
is it's pretty convincing. They have two tough ones in
a row with Bills and Ravens. Bills at home and
then at Ravens those in middle of December. But other
than that, it's Bengals this week. But seems like with
Flacco then Giants at home, then Bills at home, at
(22:23):
Ravens at Jets, Dolphins like they're at most they're gonna
lose two more. Yep. I don't see any scenario how
it's any more than that. And that's thirteen and four
for New England year one with Rabel. Yeah, not bad,
not bad, not at all. No, it's gonna get real dicey,
real quick though. In the AFC because of all of this,
(22:44):
I thought Josh Allen on the injury. I thought he
was on the hit. I thought he's gonna be That
did not seem good.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
No, it did not seem good. He looked their defensive
line was dominant that of the of the Houston Texans.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
I don't love those uniforms for him, all right, Beamsy
had a great thought on him as we're watching. These
helmets would look amazing in all white uniforms. The red
helmet over helmet over all white. I said, I think
you're right, buddy, Sure, it's too much damn red. I
actually think they'd look pretty good with a red helmet,
red jersey, white pant I think that would even look
(23:18):
would look better. I also think they shouldn't used chrome
red on the face mask.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
No, that looked they go spray painted.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
Yeah, if they use a white or even a navy
blue or a gray gray, probably wouldn't work, becau it's
kind of a metallic. But yeah, I think the face
mask makes it kind of tough too. I just think
that they're a lot of red.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
Their h town uniform is good, the regular ones are fine. Yeah,
I think that if this one, yeah, over a white
uniform would look really good. I also think that they
could just I know that they can't. Yeah, Like, imagine
if that was a baby blue lid, of course, with
(23:59):
a white face mask, a white jersey with baby blue
numbers like it would be unreal.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
I think it's amazing that that they acquiesced. Can't you
just have a different baby blue. That's the conversation you
and I had in the moment. I just said, just
pick a different baby blue. Just don't use that pantone
or use that one, like the University of Houston. Remember
they tried. Amy Adams tried stopping them from using baby blue,
and the University of Houston said, yeah, we're good, we're
(24:25):
gonna use it. And guess what they wore baby blue. Yeah,
you don't own an entire chalette of color. No, Like
there's a difference between North Carolina blue and Columbia blue. Yes,
those are different shades. Like that's all you have to do. Oh, Ucla,
there's another one. So I don't understand why people do it.
Pick a diff bake it slightly lighter.
Speaker 3 (24:46):
Slightly, because there's some of it in that H Town one.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Right, h a little in there. I remember talking to
Landry Locker about this, who used to be up here
and is now down there, and he's a Texas guy,
and he said that that little bit that they have
in the H Town blue was all that they were
allowed by the NFL to use. And I said, well,
hold on a second. Let's say that the Cleveland Browns
(25:09):
wanted to put baby blue in the logo light blue
and the low Let's say we did. We want to
look like Tufts and we want to show some baby blue,
and along with the brown and the whatever you're telling
me that Amy Adams would be like, no, no, no, no,
you can't use the baby blue in any town other
than mine, the town that I own a team in.
(25:29):
What we're talking about. It's absurd.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
It is absurd.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
So I don't buy it. I just I don't know.
If the NFL was like, look we done with baby blue,
great point, great point. Yeah, use ole, miss baby blue.
Ole mis uses baby blue sky blue they call it.
Use that one. You don't have to use that color
that they use, just use a shade of it.
Speaker 3 (25:52):
And why can't you use red?
Speaker 2 (25:53):
I have no idea. Yeah, why is red the one?
Speaker 3 (25:55):
They were red, white and blue. They still are red,
white and blue. They still are. It's just a different
blue ken.
Speaker 4 (26:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
I don't know. I've never understood that. I'd they just
do it. I would just do it too. That's what
University of Houston did, and they were, fine, what do
you do? You're not going to do anything that the
end of it nothing. Those are your Hot Topics Today,

Speaker 3 (27:11):
Very happy now to be joined by the raining Pepsi
zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Week, Carson Sweessenger. And well,
we're not gonna get We're not gonna get into it
too fast because also the leading tackler on your Cleveland Browns,
leading tackler amongst all rookies, third on the team in
tackles for loss with eight, tied for fourth with one
and a half sacks, You tied for the team lead
two interceptions. You got another one last week, two in
(27:33):
your last three games.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
You're basically doing it all.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
Brother, You're basically doing it all. How does it kind
of as you sit here and you say, oh, man,
in college, i'd be about to wrap up the season.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
We got seven more to go. But man, unbelievable start
to your NFL career. Yeah, I appreciate it. I think.
Speaker 5 (27:47):
Uh well, I mean, first of all, I like the
fact that I got more games to play. You know,
some people say there's a rookie wall whatever. I'm I
feel like I'm just getting going. But uh, you know,
other than that, I think a lot of the play
that I I have comes from the people that are
on the field with me. I think it's pretty easy
to play behind the front four we have, and then
with the with the back end we have between the
(28:08):
safeties and corners, it makes me able to play pretty free.
Me and d Bush both and you know having him
next to me too is another huge thing.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Are you super human? I need to ask fors you
had a high ankle sprain. People are supposed to be
out fur to six weeks with high ankle sprain. You
didn't miss a game. We had a bye week. Maybe
you would have missed that one, but you missed the
game and you're playing back to back double digit tackle games.
We'll talk about what you did in the Ravens in
a second.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
But like, how did you do this?
Speaker 3 (28:32):
And Tarv, I remember we were going on the We're
on the bus to go to where did we just
play on the road? We're out New York. Yeah, and
Tarv's like, yeah, he's gonna play. I'm like, excuse me.
He's like, yeah, yeah, he's gonna play. And Tarv obviously
you know it is the best. But how how Yeah.
Speaker 5 (28:51):
I think it's you know, for me when when it happened,
my first thought was all right, how what do I
have to do to get back on the field. And
you know, uh, I didn't really get a bye week.
I was here every day, but I think it was
worth it. And then you know, credit to our training
staff too. They had me doing all sorts of things,
and you know, I was trying to make sure that
I was doing everything I possibly could to get on
the field as fast as possible, and you know, that
(29:12):
week was able to start testing it out and everything
felt good, and so I was like, all right, let's
give it a go.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
And there wasn't even like a hint of a limp.
You didn't have a big thing on your ankle.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
I saw you out there in New York and you're
out there, you're doing your You and Easton always throw
the football around.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
And you guys, and I'm like, this guy's he looks fine.
It's crazy.
Speaker 5 (29:31):
Yeah, I mean, I think that's just always been something too.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
I even coached it back to or something like that. Yeah,
I mean, it's it's incredible, and obviously we're certainly happy
you were able to get out there all right. This
past week, you had two plays that boggled my mind.
The first one is and I wonder if this was
a well kind of a oh my god moment. You
meet Derrick Henry in the hole, him coming downhill. Now
(29:57):
I've seen people tackle him. I've seen him they get
run over and they tackle him, you know, as he
kind of falls over them. You stoned Derrick Henry. I've
been doing this with this organization for thirteen seasons. I've
seen a lot of Derek more than I want to
see if Derrick Henry, I have never seen that before.
Was that one where you were like, oh yeah, and
what was kind of the reaction in the film room
and amongst the guys.
Speaker 5 (30:17):
I think anytime you have a hit like that, whoever
it is on, you get pretty excited.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
So that was definitely a fun one.
Speaker 5 (30:24):
I mean, it was a great call to give me
in this situation where I could be playing fast for
that and you know, then I think that's Derrick Henry.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
Yeah, but I don't know.
Speaker 5 (30:33):
Once I'm on the field, it's kind of just that's
that's the running back and that's why I have to
go tackle. It is kind of how my mind works.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
And so that just ended up being what the play was.
Speaker 5 (30:42):
And you know, obviously it's it's definitely exciting in the
game and definitely, you know, you want those types of
plays to happen just to bring momentum for the defense.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
And so, yeah, it was a good player.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
There was that one, and then there was another one
where you didn't meet him head on. He was running
through the hole normally when he gets that fifth step,
see you later when you arm tackled him and brought
him down like you snared him and he got run too.
Arm tackles like it's I mean, that's made quite a
good living doing that for his whole career. That one
might have even been more impressive to me because at
least the other one you had your full body and
there you're a big, strong guy, young guy. You know,
(31:14):
maybe he's a little bit older, but I've never seen
by just arm lasso him when he's going.
Speaker 5 (31:19):
I think you know that one too, just comes down
to a lot of tackling. What I say is you
just gotta want to make the tackle. And yeah, you know,
we used to have saying if it wiggles, tackle it,
and so you know, just hold on for dear life.
And you know, at the end of the day, no
tackle is going to look perfect every time, and you
just got to be able to hold onto something and
get him down and get a body part.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
Yeah, what's it been like being for you? You know,
because if you look at what we've played so far
this season and the offenses we played, we've played probably
for a mic linebacker, especially a young mike like the
Murderers Row all of these motion, high motion offense, a
lot of eye candy running quarterbacks, everything designed to stress you,
and then you know, kind you're battling the quarterback with
(32:01):
all the checks and all that, and it's been Aaron
Rodgers and Lamar and Burrow and Drake May was playing
really well and Jared Goff, I mean week in and
week out. You started one year in college. I aske
Kevin Spancy. I'm like, how does he do this? He goes,
I don't know, it boggles his mind. Are you kind
of just like how do you lock in? And how
have you kind of mastered things that it's not You
(32:23):
were a four year starter at UCLA and played saw
all these reps and all these different offenses. To come
in here and do what you're doing in the NFL
is buddy, it is wild.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
I think I know there's a question in there as
much as I'm just like it's nuts.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (32:35):
Well, I think a lot of it comes down to
just preparation, Like you said, with so much eye candy,
so many motions, and and you know the certain checks
and looks that these quarterbacks can give, and you know,
when you go into the game really prepared and know
what's coming, it makes it a lot easier to you. Know,
when when certain things start to happen and move fast,
you already expect them, and so it doesn't you know,
get you going quick. You can stay calm under pressure
(32:57):
and do what you need to do.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
And that's like Roquan Smith's supposed to say, he's in
playing the league for a decade. Do you have do
you have a photographic memory or similar like do you
retain something really quickly?
Speaker 5 (33:08):
I think I think I learned pretty quickly. I think
I always have and that's definitely helped me. But I
still think a big part of it comes down to
being able to, you know, take the time to prepare,
you know, because it's you know, just set apart certain
certain times of the day where you know, I'll put
my phone away so I don't have distractions and and
just just lock in for you know, thirty minutes, to
(33:28):
take a break through another thirty minutes, and just just
small things like that helped throughout the week.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
What's it like being playing for for Jason Tarbor?
Speaker 5 (33:35):
Oh, It's great, I think especially to you know, he
he had he coached and taught it or or took
classes at UCLA and so he was biokem there. I
think and so our minds kind of worked similar. So
there's sometimes he'll he'll say certain things in certain ways
and it may it might not make sense to some people,
but just the way the way our minds work, you know,
we're we're kind of rolling in that aspect. And then
(33:57):
just you know, his energy that he has on the
field all the time, it's the best and even you
know you think maybe it's just some No, it's in
the meeting room, it's it's everywhere anytime you're talking to.
Speaker 3 (34:06):
He's a regular on our oh yeah shows because he's
the best. Like, I love that guy. Yeah. For a
young player. One of the things he does that I
know is different. I think your position coach can obviously
have a huge impact on your development. He is the
most thorough note giver I think of really any position
coach I've come across. How helpful has that been for you?
Speaker 5 (34:25):
I mean, that's been, you know, instrumental, just because like
I said, part of the aspect is preparation, and he
gives all the answers that I'm gonna need in order
to have success, and so being able to have all
that and any if I end up with any questions,
he can answer them right away, and just you know,
every every note possibility, you know, he's he goes over it.
(34:46):
And so even when we're going out to the practice field,
already prepared for for what we're going to see that day.
Speaker 4 (34:50):
And ready to roll.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
And you mentioned Dev and he's having a great season,
and I'm sure he'd say it's great play next to
Carson as well. But you have a guy who was
a former first round pick, guy who who you know
has had a hunter tackle season in the league, a
guy who was a mic linebacker in this league. How
helpful has that been to have that veteran. But he's
also you know, he's only in a second year in
this system. This is a very new system for him
last year. But both of you guys playing such a
high level.
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Yeah, he's been super helpful. I think all the guys in.
Speaker 5 (35:14):
The room, whether they've been there for one year or
as long as you know, Dev and Bake have have
each you know, contributed and helped me and you know
in their own ways. And but especially Dev being next
to him, I think we have good chemistry out there too,
and we're always on the same page, so you know,
we can make each other right a lot of the
time and having that is super helpful.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
So in New England you had a lot of your family.
There is that is that does that crew travel to
every game or was that just in New England?
Speaker 5 (35:39):
I usually have have family on every game, my parents,
my dad.
Speaker 4 (35:42):
I don't.
Speaker 5 (35:43):
I don't think it's missed a game. And since I
was eight years old, you know, so that's pretty cool.
That's his his thing now. And you know, my mom
was just to have four other siblings, so sometimes my
mom has to you know, take care, take care of
the younger brother or things like that. So I get it.
But I think they've been in. Both of them have
been a I think she had to miss one at
one point, but you know, I don't, I don't fall to.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
You had a big group doing so normally our booth
is not on our bench side, so when we were
in New England, it's actually a very low booths and
we were kind of you know, coach O Shaye's Wife's
right in front of us, and all of your family
was there. In the Jersey, you get your first interception
in front of your family, which had then unfortunately get hurt.
So then we had to watch something like oh, you know,
what's going on there? That had to be kind of
surreal because you did have a big crew there and
(36:25):
you got you know, pick and then also.
Speaker 5 (36:27):
Yeah, and it was cool because my both my sisters
were there and that was the first game they had
both been to, so that was pretty cool. But then
my sister is after the game, she was like, oh,
we need to come to everyone after the pick, and
then she was like, okay, maybe we don't because you
got hurt. So but it was it was great to
see them after the game too, and you know, it's
always nice to be able to see your family when
when a game like that happens.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
And yeah, yeah, did you keep the ball?
Speaker 5 (36:49):
I think so, I hope, so yeah, I kind of
got took it from me and you know, I just
was some way.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Yeah, it was like, so, yeah, I hope.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
What has been your favorite play that you've made so
far this year?
Speaker 5 (37:05):
I don't know, They're all I think, you know, this
is gonna sound like a bad answer maybe, but like
the next one, you know, I'm just looking forward to
go going to make the whatever would.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
Be crying tears of joy at that answer right there?
You'd be kind absolutely, that's fair. I like it your
folks and listen. We all like watching you make plays.
You're gonna get I think a lot of opportunities. A
team that's very running back, tight end heavy genty and
black Bowers. So when you've kind of watched them now,
last week was kind of an anomaly. They threw it
every down for some reason in that one. But you
have to imagine they're gonna try to get gent going
(37:36):
and they've got that great tight end, so a good
another good battle for you.
Speaker 5 (37:38):
Yeah, of course, I think, like you said, you know,
anomaly from last week. We you know, you're gonna expect
them to try and establish the run, especially with the
back they have, and and then you know, same thing
the tight end focused to with the with the guys
they have there.
Speaker 3 (37:51):
Carson, it has been a pleasure. We gotta let you go.
I'm sure you have meetings to get to get ready
for this game, but it's been so fun watching you
play and just keep it going. Man on being the
Pepsi zero Sugar Rookie of the week.
Speaker 4 (38:02):
All right, thank you?

Let me ask you guys this as you're calling the
game Sunday. Oh yeah, how aware are you of where
we are with the over unders?
Speaker 4 (39:12):
Well, the man who you're sitting five feet away from,
I'll give you a guess where he's at, depending on
what we're doing on the football field.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
Quite aware, Quite aware.
Speaker 4 (39:21):
Now on this one, I honestly didn't realize he like
I knew he had at least two, if not three,
And I didn't know that. I couldn't remember the other
ones because we even talked about in a break. We
were like I can't remember the other two.
Speaker 3 (39:35):
I think as just the fact that I have a
lot of belief in the Cleveland Browns football team, and
it led me to the right answers.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
When was it?
Speaker 4 (39:44):
I mean, in fairness, like, that's pretty great. Five and oh, Like,
when was the last time one of us went five
and oh?
Speaker 2 (39:51):
Boz's got the record there, he can tell you it
hasn't happened this year. Yeah, that's a pretty You had
a four and one two weeks agouh, Z had a
four and one, give me went four and one week one.
Then you went four and one week two. Correct, and
then hello, Gibb had another four and one two weeks ago. Geez,
So this is our first five and oh of this week?
(40:15):
Z went five and oh.
Speaker 3 (40:16):
In the words of the theme song for Dolph Ziggler,
who made a triumphant return Cleveland's own, I am perfection.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
Five and oh.
Speaker 4 (40:26):
This is why I want him to go on the
football field. Just one because he actually can do it.
Two because I want to see captain perfection.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
It's one of those we'll just never know. Well, I
can't say I couldn't.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
I was trying to think of a way. I think
like I wondered, like if a MAC team would let
you do it, Like.
Speaker 4 (40:45):
Like I want to be surrounded by all the second
to last in the bottom of the conference. They've got
some work to do. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
I look forward to you walking up to Eddie George
and saying, look, I got a guy.
Speaker 3 (40:54):
Yeah, and I want him to I did meet him
at the combine. We had a lovely discussion.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
And we have the nicest guy over we human out. Yeah,
he's one of the best.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
He looks quite frankly, like he could play today.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
I think that's right. I think that's fair. And my
hunch is I would bet you that there's like a
sixty percent chance that the next time you see him,
he'd remember your voice if you properly met him and
had a conversation with him. I would imagine I think
he would remember your name. I really do. That's you
just make him a lot better than I am. I
(41:25):
am to him and Clark Kellogg are unbelievable. You meet
him one time and they will remember your name.
Speaker 3 (41:32):
I use him is also he's like that good Well,
I don't know with me he is I'm obviously at
the game and he's.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
Oh Nathan Goodson. Yeah, it's like they it's the way
have oz brother have it in their head to like
face name face name click and it's in.
Speaker 4 (41:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (41:45):
So for me, it's like face is going to uh
a depository in my brain with a spot on, like yeah,
I could have not seen somebody for thirty years, and
if I had nailed it, I'll know. I know, I
know you not saying I know where names. It's like
in and it's I now rejected immediately, I know it.
Speaker 2 (42:01):
I'm probably I'm lowered like you, and so I two
and three. Yeah, you're two and three. So he's got
a two game lead on you. Now. Thirty and twenty
for z and twenty eight and twenty two for Gibbe.
There's a new sheriff in town. Boys. Yeah, hey, learn
how to talk into the microphone. Right here you go,
(42:22):
fifty you guys ready, We're ready.
Speaker 4 (42:24):
We got your safety.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
By the way, we've got seven three forty nine I
talked to we have from seven seven this week because
we're going best the seven. We have the the g
Man bonus two Young Gabriel. All right, we're going to
start with completion percentage. Zaguri you go first for one.
Chadur senders completion percentage fifty three and a half. I
(42:53):
mean this one.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
Is too easy, too easy, over automatic all day, every day.
I believe in the Browns, I believe in shador.
Speaker 4 (43:11):
Do you.
Speaker 2 (43:13):
Fifty three and a half give it? I would yes,
because at fifty three percent, it needs to.
Speaker 4 (43:19):
Be over that. It can't be under it. It can't
be under it needs to be over.
Speaker 3 (43:25):
I mean I might not be over fifty three percent
when we beat Rutgers.
Speaker 2 (43:30):
I don't know, if I think, I don't know. You
might be able to win without it, like Davis Mills
was barely that last night, and they wont to beat
the Bills with a great defense. Yeah, you don't need
to be there, boys, all right, but we're over, We're over,
all right. We believe in a high completion percentage game
at a shore, all right? Next over mostly accurate pastor
(43:51):
in college football history.
Speaker 3 (43:52):
He is.
Speaker 2 (43:53):
He went four of sixteen last week, though, so we
you know, we got to we've got more than double
that we do, all right? The a combo platter total yards,
gibbe our guys fannin chief and Judkins, so the two
(44:13):
tight ends and Judkins there guys over under their guys
genty Bowers and Ian Thomas the other tight end, so
both their tight ends and genty versus both our tight
ends and Q.
Speaker 4 (44:28):
I will take us this week over or frankly, Bowers
is the only one that concerns me. We can stop
the run the tight end. We have a problem covering
from time to time.
Speaker 2 (44:40):
Bear is very good.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
Hold on one second, I need to look at something.
Speaker 2 (44:44):
I'm pff night.
Speaker 3 (44:45):
I'm searching for a potential clarification.
Speaker 2 (44:48):
Pff eight.
Speaker 4 (44:49):
Got to do his homework. I mean it paid off.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
He went five and oh, thank you, Gibbe.
Speaker 3 (44:52):
That's one of the nice things you've ever said.
Speaker 4 (44:54):
I'll find something to keep you down on, just not this.
Speaker 3 (44:59):
Yeah, it is my belief, yep, and I could be wrong. Well,
it is my belief. Let me just looks at something.
Here's sixty one percent is my belief that Michael Mayer
might actually be the second tight end.
Speaker 2 (45:16):
Of last weekend. He wasn't, But is he Is he
the one for this week?
Speaker 4 (45:20):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (45:20):
He'll just tell you, yeah, he was.
Speaker 3 (45:22):
He had more targets, catches, he's playing. He's playing sixty
four percent of the offensive snaps to thirty for Thomas.
Speaker 2 (45:28):
So if I could I have mayor police, M did
that chase your answer? Gibbe No, So.
Speaker 3 (45:35):
Once again Gibbe is looking at this all wrong. Gibbet
is saying, I don't.
Speaker 2 (45:39):
Believe I just took our three guys.
Speaker 3 (45:43):
No, no, no, no, no, you're past catchers. We're gonna
be a big, dominant, very very big. They're gonna be
in chase mode. There's gonna be checkdowns. Gent coming off
a career high six catches last week, career high, So
there's gonna be a lot of genty. There's gonna be
a lot of bowers. They're gonna be throwing at Geno left,
Geno right, Jimo middle, all of that. So they're gonna
(46:04):
what we call stat pad. They are going to have
fourth quarter accumulation. And that is why you're gonna see
the Raiders trio produce more total yards than our trio
because we're gonna be comfortable, comfortable, so comfortable. We could
see a lot of Dylan Samson in.
Speaker 2 (46:23):
Your room Ford in the fourth quarter. Next over pass
attempts Geno Smith twenty nine and a half comes over
what was it, twenty nine and a half? Geno Smith
pass attempts more than the first half last week.
Speaker 4 (46:44):
Yeah, they're gonna have to they're gonna be behind one over.
Speaker 2 (46:47):
Oh but does that logic track? Does it? Does it
add up with the rest of it? I don't know.
Speaker 1 (46:53):
Next over under.
Speaker 2 (46:56):
Sacks and turnovers five and a half, give give a
five and a half? Over over, Holy smokes, all.
Speaker 1 (47:07):
Right, next over thunder?
Speaker 2 (47:11):
All right? These are the g Man selections. Gabriel opening
kick return distance. Who's up here?
Speaker 1 (47:20):
Is this?
Speaker 2 (47:20):
You ze opening.
Speaker 4 (47:24):
Gabel?
Speaker 3 (47:25):
Because we can't we don't even get to know who's
actually receiving it. There we go Montana, Stadie likes it. Montana, Yes,
Joe Montana Saturday. I think he's saying, Saturday, Yeah, Brawl
of the Wild Wild Saturday, Saturday.
Speaker 2 (47:45):
Yeah, yeah, good to see him. Uh kick read earn
distance from young gabriel z twenty seven and a half yards.
Speaker 3 (47:57):
How can we even answer this question?
Speaker 4 (47:58):
Young?
Speaker 2 (47:58):
That's why I love it.
Speaker 4 (47:59):
We don't.
Speaker 2 (48:01):
Returning the opening kicks. We don't know. We have no idea, mister.
Speaker 4 (48:04):
Sir, No, you don't get to tweak it.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
You don't get No, I'm not tweaking it. It is.
It's done. Let's go twenty seven and a half in
the event. Then the kickoff goes out of bound or
goes to is a touchback that would be under, that's
under that, that's zero, that counts as under under give
it under, Gibbe I on, I'll be honest with you.
(48:33):
Swessinger tackles gibb a nine and a half.
Speaker 4 (48:42):
Yeah ten last week, I believe.
Speaker 2 (48:45):
But they're gonna throw it as much as all you
guys think.
Speaker 4 (48:48):
You got to cover the tight ends the opportunity we have.
Speaker 2 (48:50):
We have issues. I'll say over over.
Speaker 3 (48:57):
Same and your leader headed into week thirteen remains nathan
Ze girl.
Speaker 2 (49:03):
Finally next over under we could be died. The actual
brain on the private school kid thirty six and a half,
the actual good god, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (49:15):
Same one.
Speaker 4 (49:16):
Yeah, they're not taking the over because this guy's going
to take five hours to explain why he's come up
with his rover.
Speaker 2 (49:25):
Now, oh give me how smart you?
Speaker 4 (49:29):
There? There you go.

Keep it Twisted Cleveland. Well, Buddy, I would assume with
our change at quarterback, this one adds a little bit
more juice for you guys as well. What is kind
of the buzz out there of Schadore making his debut
in Sin City on Sunday afternoon?
Speaker 6 (50:59):
You know it's it's kind of fitting, almost ironic, And
I think interesting is an understatement because you know, if
you guys remember before the draft, right, and certainly during
December and January, Chaduur was posting pictures of Allegiant Stadium.
He was seen at an ACES game with Mark Davis
(51:19):
talking with the owner of the Raiders. There were there
were all kinds of ties that that I think a
lot of people thought. Not again, it's not unique, and
it's not only Las Vegas. I mean, Shaduur was tied
to a lot of teams and considering all thirty two
teams passed over him for four rounds, It's not just
the Raiders. But there was a lot of thought that
he was going to be a Raider, and so I
(51:42):
think it is kind of fitting that in this stadium,
in this setting, he is going to get to make
that start. Now, if you are rooting for the most
interesting storyline on Monday, I think the most interesting storyline
is he's awesome. But whether or not that happens or not.
Speaker 3 (51:57):
A different story and we would like to see that.
Isn't good to talk to you again, brother, I hope
you're well.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
I'm doing great. I'm doing great.
Speaker 6 (52:06):
I am finally indoctrinating my eight year old to pro wrestling,
which is right.
Speaker 3 (52:11):
There you go, brother, There we go, There we go.
Speaker 6 (52:14):
I love that he doesn't quite grass yet. The difference
between the one he watches on Big ten Network when
Penn State is wrestling IOWA, and how that's different than WWE.
I'm explained to him that one is fake and one
is not.
Speaker 3 (52:26):
He doesn't Hey, whoa, Hey, Now we'll just say that
one is more traditional, payment oriented and one is more traditional.
Speaker 6 (52:34):
Yeah, that's right, that's right, twenty five hundred years ago.
Speaker 2 (52:37):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (52:38):
They we're trying to get, actually, the mids who lives
in Las Vegas, trying to make sure that he is
in attendance for this this great game against Raiders. What's
it been like for you guys this year? You bring
in Pete Carroll, you bring in Geno Smith. That kind
of feels like a team that's going forward in a
division where it was always going to be very difficult
to go forward, and obviously the results have not necessarily
(52:59):
been that.
Speaker 2 (53:00):
What do you kind of make.
Speaker 3 (53:01):
Of this the franchise and where it is and where
it's necessarily going.
Speaker 6 (53:06):
So frustrating is an understatement. I think, you know, I
tend to live by an idea that.
Speaker 2 (53:13):
Life is.
Speaker 6 (53:15):
Directed by expectations, and you know, you can set your
expectations whatever you want. But when you bring in a
borderline hall of fame coach, maybe he is a Hall
of fame coach, but certainly a super Bowl winning coach
who's top twenty all time and wins and the pedigree
that he had had for twenty years both at USC
and Seattle. You bring in a quarterback who has been
(53:35):
a two time Pro Bowler the last three years and
resurrected his career. You draft Ashton Gent to go with
a superstar and Brock Powers. I think the expectation was
that the offense would be competitive, not as much of
a struggle as it had been the last two years,
and the defense would be good enough and all that
to you know, be it maybe not a playoff team,
(53:57):
but certainly playing playoff type caliber game into December where
the game's mattered and it's still you know, it's still
up in the air. And that was the expectation. And
when you fall as short of that as this team has,
it makes it much worse than just the two and
eight season. I mean, this is my third, my fourth
year as the announcer for the Raiders. It is my
(54:19):
third year of those four where we've been two and seven.
My first year, we then rattled off three straight wins,
but we were two and seven this year for the
third time in four years, and this one felt the
worst by far. And some of those are the blowouts,
but some of it is also just what the expectations were.
Speaker 2 (54:37):
Yeah, and Jason, it's so hard to get a real
foothold in a market, especially a new market, when you
don't have that success, right, I mean, how's all that
playing out?
Speaker 6 (54:48):
It hard because they moved, you know, and this is
not their fault, but they moved to Las Vegas the
first year when COVID happened, So you've got this brand new,
beautiful stadium that nobody's allowed to be in. And then
the next year there was a lot of intrigue because
the stadium was open. But then also think about what
happened in twenty twenty one. First of all, the team won,
(55:10):
so there's that they played a lot of really interesting games.
But around that you also had the John Gruden emails
and his resignation slash firing. You had the Henry Ruggs,
you know, hit and run murder and which he is
now in prison for. And then you had Rich Pasaci
who came on to be the interim head coach, led
them to the playoffs and then was let go. And
then the immediate after effected that was you trade for
(55:31):
Devonte Adams. So you're gonna have this great team and
you have Superstar and the team goes six and eleven
and they haven't been above five hundred since, so it
is absolutely hard to start building that footprint. There's no question.
You see Raiders stuff everywhere, but Las Vegas is a
transient city. And that's not to say that they can't
become this massive Raiders town. I think it is going
(55:53):
to be a Raiders town. I think it will be,
but you have to win. You know, the Golden Knights
were at expansion teams, so them being in Vegas is
different because that is Vegas his own right, It wasn't
somebody else's. But they were in the Stanley Cup final
their first year and that so it makes it a
little bit different. And you know, we'll see what happens. Right,
the A's are going to relow key to Las Vegas.
(56:14):
We'll see who jumps on board, if people are there.
It's an open air stadium in the summer, I don't know,
but we'll see.
Speaker 3 (56:24):
When you look at the drafting of Ashton genty and
obviously they've tried to get him going. Now the last
few weeks it's been tough kind of slutting. But last
week in particular, thirty one passes on their first thirty
four plays. What do you kind of make of that
game plan? And do you think this week they're going
to kind of reverse course and really try to get
gent going because I think if you drop back against
(56:45):
Miles Garrett and the Browns that many times that could
be problematic.
Speaker 6 (56:48):
Nate, I don't know if you and Andrew Ceciliano do
this in some stadiums, But like you know, our booth
is right in Allegiant, Our booth is right next to
the coaches booth, and Kelly sits right next to me
partner Kirk Morris, And now there's a window that separates them, but.
Speaker 3 (57:03):
Windows like you can see into it.
Speaker 6 (57:06):
Oh yeah, yeah, now wow. Now, now they sometimes have
plays and things you know, on that glass or notes
or whatever. So but but my point being, we were
we were tracking that in the first half, because you know,
of our plays, of our four run plays in the
first half, one of them was a scramble. So of those,
(57:29):
to your points, thirty four designed play calls, thirty one
of them were designed passes. And in the end of
the day, I believe we technically ran twelve times. One
of them was a kneel down. Three of them were
Gino Smith's scrambles where he dropped back to pass. So
we ran fifty eight plays on Monday night and fifty
(57:52):
of them were pass plays. Now, how much of that
did Gino check out of were they all? Again, I
don't have the answer to that, and they're not gonna
tell you that. But pet Care as soon as the
game was over, said it was on him. He said
it was his design. He had influence on it. They
wanted to pass, they want to take advantage, and for
a good portion of it, I mean, they were moving
the ball down the field. He is right about that.
(58:12):
But it is surprising because of how much they have
spent this year talking about he wants to get the
run game going. We've got to get the run game going,
and it felt like at times a good portion of
this year, you know, there's been some animosity at least
between how the media has been talking about it, how
he you know, Kelly is calling plays versus how Pete
(58:32):
Carroll wants them to call plays and vice versa. And
so it has felt not look that we were winning,
this would be a little bit different, but it has
felt all season long like they haven't really figured out
how they want to run their offense. And it may
be personnel based. You know, this offensive line has struggled
all year.
Speaker 2 (58:49):
Yeah, it really has. And Gino struggled too, And I
mean obviously the weapons aren't there in the outside the
way that you'd want. And Kenny Pikett was here, you know,
is there any chatter about Kenny at all?
Speaker 6 (59:02):
Not really, I mean there has been. There's been a
lot of calls by the fans to bench Gino. I
think the part of the sand based thinks everything is
Gino's fault. I am not in any way, shape or
form of that. I think the one in three start
you could have attested to Gino. The Chargers game Week two,
three interceptions, two of them are bad. The Bears game
(59:22):
Week four, Raiders should have won, but four turnovers, including
another three interceptions. So there was some of this early
that you could have tested to Gino, But the reality
for the last six weeks is the offensive line has
been really bad. He's been running for dear life. The
Cowboys game is a perfect example of that. And and so,
(59:43):
you know, I think at this point he's just come
to grips with the fact that, Hey, he said something
after the game, like, Hey, blame me for everything, right,
Blame me if you're late for work and you're stuck
on the highway, Blame me. If your kid didn't eat
their breakfast and they're screaming, blame me, Like you know
it kind of like you know, but like that's kind
of where he is right now. And and I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
What that means for this team moving forward.
Speaker 6 (01:00:04):
There has been some clamoring from the outside to play
Kenny Pickett. There have been opportunities to play Kenny Pickett,
and they chose not to week Oh got to feel
like forever ago. But we five in Indianapolis. It's a
forty to six game. Gino played every snap Kansas City,
it's thirty one nothing. At one point they did bring
in Kenny Pickett and he fumbled the opening snap and
(01:00:25):
they lost the ball. And you know he took some
knees at the end of that. You know, so last
week you could have brought in Kenny Pickett, they didn't.
And now the added part to that, you guys, is
that Aidan O'Connell, who broke his wrist, broke a bone
in his wrist in the preseason in the final game
of the previous yeah, which led to the trade, is
now back and he is active and a full participant.
(01:00:47):
And you know, I don't know, I haven't heard what
Pete Carrelson today. I'm not positive, but my gut is
that Aidan O'Connell will be your backup and that Kenny
Pickett will be your emergency third string quote unquote in
active quarterback on Sunday. I don't know that for a fact.
I could be completely wrong, and maybe they said something
about that today that I didn't see yet, But that's
(01:01:08):
my gut.
Speaker 3 (01:01:10):
What is your gut on Max Crosby, because obviously that
raised a few eyebrows that he showed up on the
injury report yesterday.
Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
Do you expect him to be good to go?
Speaker 6 (01:01:20):
Maxton playing through some injuries all season, you know, and
he's been on the injury report before obviously to your point,
the fact that he has that knee issue pop up.
He got hurt in the Kansas City game and missed
the believe it was the whole second half. And part
of that reason that he didn't miss a game was
because we had a buye right after that, so he
(01:01:43):
had two weeks to get healthy, and then you know,
had the Jaguars game, which our defense the first half
was unreal. The only points that Jaguars had was the
record setting sixty eight year field goal, and then the
second half, the defense didn't get one single stop and
we lose an overtime. And it's kind of been the
inconsistency the Raiders defense this year. So you know, is
Max knee flaring up again? Is it a different injury?
(01:02:06):
I don't know the answer to that. You know, last
year against Cleveland, I believe was the first time he
ever missed a football game. And I don't know if
he's going to play yet on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (01:02:18):
He's a bet, I mean he is. That's the one
guy that we're certainly a little bit nervous about it.
I guess I'll ask you just from that defensive standpoint,
you know that the Raiders this year have been the
number one Cover three team in the league. They play
a lot of zone. We know that Joe Woods obviously
is on that staff. It was defensive coordinator here, so
we are worth quite familiar with playing a lot of
that zone. Do you expect the after kind of seeing
(01:02:38):
what the Ravens were able to do with the blitz
on shudor Sanders? A Raiders scene that really hasn't blitzed
a ton this year is probably going to try to
heat him up that well.
Speaker 6 (01:02:46):
So, yeah, I would hope so. And you know, to
be honest, like some of those there were sort of surprises,
like even the zone they played, Oh gosh, two of
the three touchdowns that the Cowboys scored two of the
four touchdown passes the Cowboys had like god, why are
they in zone?
Speaker 4 (01:03:01):
There?
Speaker 6 (01:03:02):
And and and they like, I mean, I'm never one
to bring that up on the air because it's just
not my expertise, you know, like I can see it
when I'm calling the game that they're in a zone,
although sometimes you're watching the balls not necessarily how that
defense is dropping. But but but you know, but I
can also understand in the after effect is like, oh,
you know, that's Why are we so far off playing
(01:03:23):
zone when they're in the four yard line? That doesn't
make any sense, right, So, like there's there's a there's
a little bit of that. I would hope that they're
gonna that they're gonna bring pressure, right, But at the
same time, I I don't know, Like, if you're the Ravens,
you feel confident in Kyle Hamilton and Malachi Starks, in
Marlon Humphrey and you know, without having watched the entire game,
(01:03:46):
I don't know who you know, if anybody got hurt
missaction there, but like they feel confident in their back end.
I don't think other than Eric Stokes that there's a
full boltload of confidence in one on one stuff. So
I think if you're playing with this and personnel and
that also plays a factor.
Speaker 2 (01:04:02):
Jay's always great talking to you, but thanks for your time.
Speaker 3 (01:04:04):
Look forward to seeing you.
Speaker 6 (01:04:06):

Speaker 4 (01:07:28):
Don't get that extra day all right?
Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
There you go.
Speaker 3 (01:07:30):
Yeah, I think if we if we had two days.
Speaker 2 (01:07:32):
And you definitely could. Yeah, are you ready to for
her keys?
Speaker 3 (01:07:34):
By the way, when we went last year and played,
it was so hot that like I was just passed
out in my room for like six hours after remember,
because it was I was just like gassed.
Speaker 4 (01:07:46):
Yeah, it was fantastic. Was a pool day?
Speaker 2 (01:07:48):
That's nice? Was it daya White at the pool?
Speaker 4 (01:07:50):
Huh?
Speaker 2 (01:07:51):
If I remember? Is that right?
Speaker 4 (01:07:53):
What's that?
Speaker 3 (01:07:53):
Wasn't Dana White at the pool?
Speaker 2 (01:07:55):
That's right?
Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
Hang with Gibbe.
Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
You'll run that. You'll run into that in Vegas and
this weekend it's gonna be not because the F one
race is there, so you're gonna f one.
Speaker 4 (01:08:02):
There's really festival in Old Vegas, concerts free every night.
Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
It's gonna be fun though, fun weekend in Las Vegas.
Time for your keys to victory out in Sin City.
And for the details on that, we turn it over
to duc to Zee. I really think I know the
Browns are not favored in this game. I really think
the Browns are the better team. I think you you
neutralize the run game of Ashton Gentem and force the
(01:08:28):
Raiders to be one dimensional throwing the ball. I think
we dominate their defensive line with our defensive line and
we're gonna be able to get after him and Gino
Smith under pressure. On the season forty four ratings, six interceptions.
He has not been good.
Speaker 3 (01:08:41):
So I really think this is a game where we
can neutralize them that way, then you flip it around
to when we have the football protect your door. I
think it's on the game plan that they've come up with.
I know he's excited about it. Give him some clearly
defined reads. Give him opportunities to throw the football down
the field. That's what he does as well as anybody.
Let him throw the football down the field. And I
(01:09:01):
think we're going to hit some chunks. I think if
we avoid catastrophes, so that's catastrophes on special teams, a
catastrophe offense would be taking you know, twenty yard sacks
or turnovers, and on defense, it would be allowing a
chunk play so they can get a one play eighty
yard drive. I think if we if we avoid those catastrophes.
I know it's crazy we are not favored. I don't
(01:09:23):
see how we lose this.
Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
It's kind of a weird one to be honestly, that
we're not based on what they have been and how
good are defense.
Speaker 3 (01:09:28):
It was four of sixteen and it like, do you
think Dylan was we'd be the favorite?
Speaker 2 (01:09:33):
Yes, like zero point and a half, two and a half,
something like two and a half. Yeah, Yeah, that's why.
Speaker 3 (01:09:39):
I mean, I think he just doesn't turn it over.
I think he's sure or is a wild card to Vegas.
Speaker 2 (01:09:43):
Yeah, and each and it's only a half. He was
thrust into action and all of those things. I think
that's why even in the over unders when we went fifty,
the over unders committee went fifty three and a half. Like,
I think there is definitely a roadmap for him to
win completing less than that. Just from the standpoint of
I think you're gonna see some sh which is something.
And if those go our way, if you hit on
(01:10:03):
a couple of shots, you can miss some stuff. And look,
he's gonna see stuff he's never seen before in his life. Yep,
on Sunday, Yes, And so he's gonna have to respond
to that in real time. And so yeah, who knows.
But I do think it's gonna be exciting. And I
do think you're gonna get some shots down the field
in this one. So yeah, I just think our defense
is going to be feasting. It's hard to imagine Miles
(01:10:25):
and the boys up front not eating. Yeah, I think so,
all right, do pay attention the scores coming up next,

little segment we like to call do pay attention to
the scores.
Speaker 3 (01:11:27):
To the scores, Yes, Bo, big bounce back week for you,
baby needed it needed a solid nine and six middleing
eight and seven for me. So we are counting with
including last night, we are now combined fifty games over
five hundred, both in the twenties.
Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
Let's go.
Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
So that's good.
Speaker 2 (01:11:47):
We like that. We like that.
Speaker 4 (01:11:49):
Give up, congratulations, thank you. Thanks This week we're back
to going to college. That's right, we're back. We're back kids,
that's right. All right. Here we go Week twelve in
the National Football League, Sunday, one o'clock, no early games. No,
(01:12:11):
no London, no Madrid, no nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:12:13):
That's fine because we're in the West Coast. I'm fine
with it.
Speaker 4 (01:12:15):
I was gonna say, we still get a little at
one o'clock action that we get to watch.
Speaker 2 (01:12:19):
I really like it. I really liked the nine o'clock one.
I don't have to and I don't. I don't watch
it in the sense of like locked in. I just
have it on as I'm doing stuff on a Sunday
morning and going in and out for groceries and the
costco runs and all of that. I just kind of
like having it around. It's not bad.
Speaker 4 (01:12:37):
If I were NFL network, Yeah, why do you need
a pregame show? Go to the league and go we
want to game back we had Thursday night. We lost it.
Speaker 2 (01:12:47):
It's a good idea. Let's put one game on every.
Speaker 3 (01:12:50):
It's coming when we go to eighteen games, every team
is going to play. There will be two buys and everything.
Speaker 4 (01:12:53):
No, no, no, but like, let's just play an early game.
Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
Like you mean, not abroad, like an am local. What
do you think is the earliest you could play local
and still have an NFL issue experience on the East Coast.
Speaker 3 (01:13:09):
Ten.
Speaker 2 (01:13:12):
Yeah, I was going to say eleven. I mean, Ohio
State does a ton of noon and they complain about
it all the time, and I think rightfully so, but
I do think, but you need to be three hours
ahead of one. Yeah, you wouldn't be able to have
a situation if you did eleven. Obviously you'd bleed into
the one o'clock game, so you'd have a little bit
of that, which they do on Monday night, so you
(01:13:35):
can double day. Yeah, you could stagger it a little bit.
So I mean basically what a nine o'clock game is
is what it's like living on the West Coast. Yeah,
it's great when you ten to one, four, Yeah, it's nice.
I don't know, maybe even maybe you just seven.
Speaker 4 (01:13:48):
Yeah, yeah, you know, if you could do a double
Huader on Monday night, why can't I get an extra
game on Sunday morning? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:13:54):
No, I'm yeah, I think. I mean we'll get there
when they when everybody plays across the pond all the time,
then you can get that. But yeah, I like it all.
Speaker 4 (01:14:02):
Right. Here we go. We kick it off in Chicago,
the Bears have won three in a row. They are
in first place in the NFC North. Bears are seven
and three. They have three linebackers out, Tremaine Edmonds, TJ. Edwards,
Noah Sewell, all three linebackers out. Aaron Rodgers is questionable
here coming the six and four Pukers into Chicago, Bo
(01:14:25):
Bishop lead us off.
Speaker 2 (01:14:26):
Did you just say all the Bears linebackers are out?
Speaker 4 (01:14:28):
Three linebackers are out? Huh three and Rogers questionable?
Speaker 2 (01:14:38):
How do we not know?
Speaker 3 (01:14:40):
I don't know if it's me though, there's something about
him playing the Bears that would affect.
Speaker 2 (01:14:46):
Well, that's valid, that's valid. I think we went over
his record against them and the Bears. The Bears have
been kind of skating for a couple of weeks here.
It pains me to do this, but I will take
the Steelers outright. Seventeen six Segura, same but different. The
(01:15:06):
Bears are.
Speaker 3 (01:15:08):
They just find a way and I think this could
easily end seventeen sixteen the Bears either.
Speaker 2 (01:15:13):
Way, Yeah, but same. Yeah, that's say.
Speaker 4 (01:15:17):
We will be watching what happens in Cincinnati. They have
till four o'clock tomorrow to activate one. Joe Burrow the
Bengals in a must win game at home, taking on
the undefeated on the road and the hottest team in
the National Football League New England Patriots. Mike JASICKI is
up for the Bengals, Can Taylor britt To I are
(01:15:40):
the Bengals defense is given up twenty seven or more
points in nine consecutive games. Bengals Patriots Zigura.
Speaker 3 (01:15:51):
And these are hard to not know who's playing quarterback
for very difficult, Yeah, very difficult. Yeah, So you know
these are these are ones that I wouldn't do anything
with until Sunday. Yeah, I know that there's no Jamar Chase.
Speaker 4 (01:16:08):
Yeah, throw that into the mix too.
Speaker 2 (01:16:12):
I think New England's really good.
Speaker 3 (01:16:14):
I just think that's a big number that a team
that can score meaningless touchdowns can find its way inside.
So I'm gonna go Patriots thirty Bengals twenty five.
Speaker 2 (01:16:29):
The last two teams to go to Cincinnati were the
Jets and the Bears. They scored thirty nine and forty seven.
Speaker 3 (01:16:39):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (01:16:39):
And they do not have Drake May No, they don't,
and they do not have Trevon Henderson. I think lights
out Cincinnati, New England, big, New England sixty seven.
Speaker 3 (01:16:54):
I don't like these lines this week.
Speaker 2 (01:16:55):
I don't like them either. New England sixty seven Bengals
two two. Yikes, what if it's Joe Burrow? Bite your tongue.
Speaker 3 (01:17:05):
You don't think it's gonna be Joe Burrow?
Speaker 2 (01:17:06):
I don't, I don't. He was listed as limited today
and just the vibe out of there today seemed like
that they're gonna give him an extra four days.
Speaker 4 (01:17:16):
To Detroit City we go news out of Detroit today.
Sam Laporta out for the season. Yep, Leon's second place
or actually third place, I guess, because Green Bay's got
a tie at six and four. Now, it's amazing what
happens with one loss Lions hosting one of the worst
(01:17:36):
teams in the National Football League in the two and
nine New York Football Giants. Jackson dart Is out, Jamis
Winston gets the start again.
Speaker 2 (01:17:45):
Bo Bishop, Yeah, g men have been really gamy recently,
and they got bombed by the Eagles, but played the
Niners tough. We played the Packers tough. The Laporta news,
I mean, Jamis all of it. It just kind of
feels like this is one where Jamis throws them to
the other team. A little bit, and that maybe this
is a Honolulu Blue DLD victory Monday in a big way.
(01:18:08):
I'm gonna go Lions large in this one.
Speaker 3 (01:18:12):
Thirty Monday off and get ready for think twenty Lyons
thirty seven, ge Man twenty eight.
Speaker 2 (01:18:19):
Oh god, same bit different. I don't like these these.
Speaker 3 (01:18:24):
I don't like any of these.
Speaker 2 (01:18:25):
A lot of whole numbers too, which is also weird
because we haven't had those all years.
Speaker 3 (01:18:28):
They listen to our show, Yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (01:18:29):
Think they might.
Speaker 4 (01:18:30):
Yeah, I would say this is because.
Speaker 2 (01:18:32):
There's more whole numbers than more not. I know it,
I know it. Lots changed.
Speaker 4 (01:18:36):
This is a separation Sunday, the pretenders and the contenders.
And here's another one in a must win situation. It
is the Minnesota Vikings at four and six on the season.
They've lost two in a row. Vikings on the road
and the Land of Cheese and Beer. Six players questionable
for the Packers, including running back Josh Jacobs. Packers, Vikings Zagora.
Speaker 2 (01:19:01):
What didn't Gibbie thrive as a Green Bay resident? Yes,
that's where I think. I think herds beer beer.
Speaker 3 (01:19:11):
He would just be the king of the city.
Speaker 2 (01:19:13):
It's so excited when we go there. I think the
king of the city. I think he would be the
king of the city. I really do.
Speaker 3 (01:19:18):
He does a lot, I think in honor of that,
the Packers knowing that they are representing the great Gibbets
GB it could be short for Gibbet. I think the Packers.
I'm just I think that was a backbreaker for the
Vikings last week. I think they lose that one. I
think it has lingering effects. Justin Jefferson is getting very
frustrated with JJ McCarthy. The JJ's are not on the
same page there. I think the Packers win this one,
(01:19:40):
big seven nil.
Speaker 2 (01:19:42):
Yeah, same z's. It feels that way to me. Me too,
that the It's funny. I was sarking to Sam Monson
about Shanahan McVeigh O'Connell earlier this week, and I'm like,
what is it that they do? And he can say, well,
I think they're all different. But the thing that he
hit me on O'Connell that really struck was he said
he thinks O'Connell is very nurturing that because he was
a journeyman quarterback, because he was one of those guys
(01:20:04):
who had to bounce around, that he almost is like
a quarterback Enabler, and I think he's got it. I
think he's got his hands full with JJ McCarthy. Now,
he missed all last year and all of that, but
it has been rough, so especially letting Darnell go all
of it. I don't think it's any easier this week.
So same theas, but I thought that was an interesting
anecdote that he was very nurturing with his quarterbacks.
Speaker 4 (01:20:28):
Up next, I'll give this one a candidate for the
Inmate Game of the Week. The Seahawks are really, really good.
They're seven and three, coming off a tough loss last
week at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams. Seahawks
on the road in nash Tucky taking on the Tennessee Titans.
Titans have lost five in a row. Really, the only
thing going for them is I think they put the
(01:20:49):
final beam in their new stadium this morning. So Titans
hosting the Seahawks.
Speaker 2 (01:20:54):
Bow. Last time a really good team went to Vegas.
Vegas hung around into the second quarter and then separation occurred,
and that really good team was New England. I actually
think Seattle's defense is going to be even more problematic.
I think this is comfortable, comfortable, comfortable as well, I
like Seattle bouncing back in a big way. Thirty eight.
(01:21:15):
Let's go thirty four to seventeen.
Speaker 3 (01:21:17):
Yeah, I think they go into Tennessee, they handle the Titans.
Titans are in disarray right now. And you hear nothing
about cam Ward. No Like Nashville is one of the
most glamorous cities in this country. Everybody's moving there, all
of the boomtown of country music. Cam You hear nothing
about cam Ordon, Noah, nothing Wild Ridley's on. Ir Donold's
(01:21:39):
gonna bounce back. He's gonna have one of those games
where he goes like seventeen for nineteen for two hundred
and fifty five yards and three touchdowns. It's gonna be
a beating Seahawks.
Speaker 4 (01:21:47):
Huge up next. This should be a later in the
day game, but because of the Fox doubleheader not the
CBS doubleheader, you get Colts Chiefs at one o'clock on Sunday.
Isaiah Pacheco is out Chiefs in need of a win big. Luckily,
they are four and one at home because and this
(01:22:08):
game is at home because they're one and four away,
Chiefs hosting the Colts who are in a fight for
the number one seed.
Speaker 3 (01:22:14):
Nathan I gotta tell you something right now, it just
makes absolutely no sense. And so I just think the
Chiefs are gonna have to do it, and they're gonna
have to do it Bigley. They've not been great, but
Danny Dime's starting to fumble the ball a little bit.
That's been definitely a bit of a problem. And so
with that being said and understanding all of that, it
(01:22:37):
just makes me feel like this has to be a
Chiefs win. They've got to win big Lee. Comfortable, Comfortable, comfortable,
get back in it. Otherwise the nails in the coffin.
Now you can say, Nathan, this is the definition of
in sand. You keep taking the Chiefs and they keep
getting it done. But this line, I know it's the
Chiefs bump. I thought, heck, even Indy could be favored
in this one. I should be taking Indy and I'm not.
I'm gonna take the Chiefs to win this one, twenty
(01:23:00):
four to twenty.
Speaker 2 (01:23:04):
Here's the thing that's pretty interesting about Kansas City. When
they win, they win Bigley beat the Giants twenty two
to nine. They beat Baltimore thirty seven to twenty. They
beat the Detroit Leos thirty to seventeen, beat Vegas thirty
one nothing and then beat Washington twenty eight to seven.
Now they've lost their last two and Mahomes has been
pedestrian in both of those games. I'm gonna go same
(01:23:27):
but different. I'm gonna go Chiefs win, but twenty four
twenty one doing it twenty four to twenty one. They
just keep burning me. I know they keep burning me.
Speaker 3 (01:23:36):
I'm gonna go down with the ship.
Speaker 2 (01:23:38):
Yeah. Final game in the one o'clock slate.
Speaker 4 (01:23:40):
The Tarad Taylor Era officially begins in New York slash
New Jersey as the Jets travel to Baltimore to take
on the red hot Baltimore Ravens, who have won four
in a row, now five and five and one game
back of the Squeelers for first in the AFC North.
Speaker 2 (01:23:58):
Bo Ravens have been on the road three straight wins
twenty eight to six over the Dolphins, twenty seven to
nineteen over the Vikes, and then of course here last
week twenty three to sixteen. Last time they were at home,
they beat the Bears thirty to sixteen. Mirror that with
Snoop with Snoop Huntley, I think they beat the Jets
at least by that give me Baltimore thirty Jets Jets, Jets,
(01:24:23):
Jets fourteen. Same.
Speaker 3 (01:24:24):
I think I think they're gonna know, Garrett Wilson, there's
nothing scary at all about that Jets offense. I think
they get shut down. The Ravens defense has been very
good of late. Yeah, I think the Ravens. The Ravens
could score fourteen and I think they would still do
what they needed to do and I think they'll score
significantly more than that.
Speaker 4 (01:24:40):
To the four o'clock slate. The team kind of emerging
here in the AFC South to take on those Indianapolis Colts,
the Jacksonville Jaguars six and four on the year, Jags
on the road, a trap game. They'll do it without
Brian Thomas Jaggs he's out again. Yes, at Cardinals Arizona
(01:25:03):
three and seven on the football.
Speaker 3 (01:25:05):
Grant Thomas keeps practicing limited every single day for two
weeks in a row and now is out again.
Speaker 4 (01:25:13):
He's out. And then their former number one pick defensive lineman,
he's out.
Speaker 3 (01:25:17):
Josh Allen no oh, the kid from Georgia Walker.
Speaker 2 (01:25:21):
Yeah, yep, Well this is do you know the last
time that the Arizona Cardinals won it? I know this
is your pick. The last time they won it home
was in They only have one home win and it
was in Week two Arizona.
Speaker 1 (01:25:35):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:25:37):
Yeah, it's this is a hard one because you don't
want to choose the drink in front of you.
Speaker 2 (01:25:41):
No, I wouldn't run. This is a gross one. This
is a gross one.
Speaker 3 (01:25:46):
I'm gonna stick with what I thought originally, which is
that the Jags win this game, and I really do
think they will. I don't know that it's going to
be big lee. I think this is kind of a lull.
You go out there to the desert, you're having a
good time. Jags thirty one, Cards thirty same. I think
you're gonna go a different way.
Speaker 2 (01:26:05):
I'm gonna go.
Speaker 4 (01:26:06):
Sames's with you on that.
Speaker 2 (01:26:07):
Next up, America's Game of the Week should be us.
Speaker 4 (01:26:11):
Instead, it's the Philadelphia Eagles at eight and two on
the road in Big d taking on the four to
five and one Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboy Wide Receiver Corps
showing us what not to do when we go to
the Red Rocks Hotel on Saturday night, Cowboys hosting the Eagles.
Speaker 6 (01:26:30):
Bo.
Speaker 2 (01:26:31):
I don't know if I'm just intoxicated with the state
of Texas because of what appears to be the TCU
enrollment policies. And Landman. I don't know if the cut
you did watch all of it. I mean, what a
eleven minutes at the dinner table was that scene incredibly well?
Speaker 3 (01:26:50):
Didn't last out. I didn't even feel like it lasted
as long as it ended very quickly. Really, the admission
scene was great.
Speaker 4 (01:26:57):
G Man hasn't seen it yet.
Speaker 2 (01:26:58):
The admissions, the admissions. I just like how they that
they just do this thing where they just have Tommy
like just go from one circumstance to the next being omniscient. Yep,
it's so great and just tell and Billy Bob. It's
the most ridiculous show, but it's really fun. I really
think give me the boys. The boys are beating Philly
in Big d Jarrah should have got an Emmy for
his performance last season on Landman.
Speaker 3 (01:27:19):
By the way, Eagles are broken on offense and what's
the recipe to fix that? It's the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 4 (01:27:26):
Ye're been.
Speaker 3 (01:27:28):
Aj Brown, Jalen Hurts. They sing Kumbai Yah Eagles in
a shootout thirty five twenty nine.
Speaker 4 (01:27:43):
Onward we go quickly. This is the innate Game of
the Week The Gutlass Falcons on the road taking on
the New Orleans Saints. Saints still haven't released Brandon Cooks,
but I guess it's happening at some point here between
now and Sunday. Falcons three and seven, Saints two and
a Zigaro Kirk Cousins.
Speaker 3 (01:28:03):
Yep, he's washed, he's washed. No Drake London, No bueno.
What's the abbreviation for New Orleans? No? No, stay away
from this game?
Speaker 2 (01:28:14):
Ye?
Speaker 3 (01:28:14):
No tai New Orleans three, Falcons negative seven.
Speaker 4 (01:28:19):
Yeah, same on this Sunday night football. Tampa Bay six
and four. But when it matters and they played big games,
not so much this year.
Speaker 2 (01:28:29):
Tampa Bay on the road. It's so fie taking on
Los Angeles at eight and two. Bo I just don't
understand why this number is so big, unless somebody just
believes that it should be because it's I mean, like
Tampa Bay has been competitive in a lot of years.
Speaker 4 (01:28:42):
Yeah, it was.
Speaker 3 (01:28:43):
I think the Rams are much better than Buffalo. And
Buffalo was six and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:28:46):
That was five and a half Buffalo.
Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
We saw it dispeared.
Speaker 2 (01:28:49):
Oh yeah, yeah, that's right. Things we used five. Yeah,
either way, it didn't matter you saw what happened last week.
I think it continues this week. Ram It ram it Bigley.
Speaker 3 (01:28:58):
Yeah, the Bucks just might not be good.
Speaker 2 (01:29:00):
They might not be Yeah, we'll do We'll do our
game and get you set for your game day Sunday.

Speaker 4 (01:29:34):
Yeah, real quick from David. We didn't get to it yesterday.
When you go to a steakhouse, what cut of steak
are you ordering? And what sides to pair with a
with a steak?
Speaker 3 (01:29:43):
Typically, Rabbi, I would say ninety nine point nine percent
of the time, Ribby, But now I've started to get
into if a place has a bone in file a yeah,
every now and then I'll indulge in that. Or if
