It's all live on a Thursday edition of Cleveland Browns Daily.
I am merely Bo. He is the great z Look.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
At you, oh baby, you're look good.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
We're trying to with the apparel that we have today,
we're trying to transport ourselves to sunnier, warmer times.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
Yeah, and golf course times, which are golf times, which
are great times for a great time.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
Those are those are times.
Speaker 5 (01:08):
That we like a great deal. You like those, buddy,
I do very much. So yeah, Yeah, we got Thursday
night football tonight. Yes, we had a matchup day. Yeah,
have a little fun with that. Do we have a
mail bag, gibbe, we have.
Speaker 6 (01:21):
A mail bell Denzel Award Fantasy advice with Oh, we
have a Microsoft minute because well we were on remote
Tuesday and I forgot to put it in yesterday. It's
all right, all right, I give it.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
We'll get to all of those things, all those things
over the course of the program. We do have some
news here at the CCMC, and it begins with a
well deserved congratulations for defensive end. Alex Wright signed a
three year, thirty three million dollar extension today, twenty one
million of that guaranteed that will keep him in the fold.
Well deserved. He has been a stud this season.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
This is number one.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
This is an excellent deal for Alex Wright, who now
probably has made more money than anybody out of Elba, Alabama,
and the history of that very very small town. He
was the tallest person from there as well. And I
think this is a great value signing for the Browns. Honestly,
if he continues to ascend as a player as he has,
this is a very good price to keep him as
(02:15):
on the opposite side of Miles Garrett for the next
three seasons.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
So I think it's great congratulations to him.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
I was talking with him about this in the elevator
either in New England, I think New England and said,
you know, hey, are they working on this? What's going
on here? And he's like, I let my agent handle it,
but I think things are happening. And I said good.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
We got to keep you here and so boom, here
we go, bingo banngo.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
Alex right is signing. That's not the only congratulations that
we're going to hand out here today. Go right underneath
your laptop there for this. This was a breaking news
note handing delivered by gibbe Early.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Look at that.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
Carson Sweessinger is the Pepsi zero Sugar NFL Rookie of
the Week for Week eleven. Congratulations to Carson. And by
the way, you'll be able to hear him in an exclusive.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Oh Baby, one on one, Oh Baby with me nice.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
On the Kevin Stefanski Show, like with me at the
sales pitch.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
That's Carson, Carson swesidh. Yeah, Yeah, that's it. So that's great.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Yeah, so that's good.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Look, we talked about talked about him coming out of
the game last week about I mean, obviously he's got
a great chance to win Defensive Rookie of the Year
and should be at the very top of that conversation.
But the way he's playing JUX supposed with the way
this defense is playing, he should be in consideration for
all Pro stuff. Yes, wait, there aren't many linebackers playing
the position better than him this season in the NFL.
(03:40):
I you know, it's not like a grinding film on
good defenses around the leaders, and he's on a short list.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
There's three really good ones just in the AFC right now.
Jordan Brooks, who's the two time defensive Player of the Week. Yeah,
obviously ro kwand and then I think and then Carson
is in there. And I think those are kind of
the guys that will maybe be battling it out for
some of those all pro spots because Fred Warner's hurt.
You have some other good obviously Mike linebackers, but I
(04:06):
think those guys right now are probably a little bit
of a cut of above everybody else.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Yeah, he's been unbelievable and it's one of those guys
that it was unreal. It was a real surprise at
the time he was picked because positionally it hadn't been
what this front off has said done. And you could
say the same thing about Mason at the top right,
like defensive tackle, off ball linebacker. That's not typically the positions.
And we've had these conversations with Andrew before in terms of,
you know, the most important positions. There's a pecking order
(04:32):
for that obviously quarterback at the top, and then people
who affect the quarterback, so DNS, receivers, corners. Those are
usually the premium positions in the NFL, and we went
de tackle and linebacker, and so they thought so much
of those two that they were in a sense overlooking
their positions to draft them where they drafted them. Yeah,
and really with Quinn John Judkins as well, because that
(04:52):
running back is another one that you would is not
a typically a premium position in terms of the draft.
But really all of those guys have lived up to
their billing and Swissenger has been nothing short of extraordinary.
And I just remember that some of the very first
conversations we had with Tarv about him and the way
he would light up about what he was capable of.
And he has been You think of the position he
(05:13):
was put in, with the injury to j Okay, the
Hicks sudden retirement and just thrust into Green Dot captain
of the defense and calling it go.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
The schedule opponents and they are styles of those offenses. Yeah,
I mean, we have probably the toughest schedule for a
MIC linebacker in the league early on with all the
teams we play.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
With the motion.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
I think that the Shifts and Lamar and Baltimore and
then you got Miami with all their emotions Detroit, Green Bay, Minnesota. Yeah,
I think about those are all the like, yeah, tough ones,
the quality of the quarterbacks that you're dealing with, you know,
Joe Burrow and then you're dealing with Lamar and then
Love and then Goff and then Rogers, Like this was
(05:55):
a difficult scenario for any young linebacker. May and Josh
McDaniel like, very difficult. And he's I started one year
in college. It's crazy, it is.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
As it's amazing that that happened. It is such an
outlier that that somebody could be either not identified or
misidentified or like his story how that happened is such
a remarkable one because you know, I think we've never
been better at the youth level. And you could argue
(06:31):
better or worse at identifying elite talent young and I
think this is the worst part of it, maybe driving
them too much into a specific sport. And I don't
know Carson's backstory in terms of like high school, like
how how all this came about that he got to
this point where he's a one year start at UCLA
and because people are.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Late top of this, yeah, for sure.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
But my hunch is, and I won't go on my hunch,
but I just think it's one of those things where, yeah,
the late bloomer part of it, it clicked late whatever
it was, right place, right time. I mean, there's a
pretty decent chance that like there's a sliding doors moment
where if he doesn't get on the field at UCLA
last year, he's not in this spot and maybe he's
(07:10):
not starting anywhere even in college. Like I mean, it's
just such a crazy circumstance because it is so hard.
They have it down and I know this just from
the Ohio State perspective, Like they know thirteen and fourteen
year olds on the way up, like they've identified them,
like as soon as they go through puberty, they know
who's going to be the dudes, and they're on them early.
(07:32):
They get him in camp and they see them. And
so for someone to be in a position where you
come out of complete obscurity, I mean, he was a
walk on at UCLA before he became the one you
start at UCLA. So his path is so atypical for
where sports is now in terms of identifying talent.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
I mean I remember, you're right.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
I remember as Buckeye was all over Terrell Pryor and
sixth grade. Yes you do in Jeannette Pa. Yeah, I
mean he was seriously he was talking about him like
I'm probably exaggerating, but he was, you know, scouting him
on the playgrounds.
Speaker 7 (08:13):
He was.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
I'm sure that part you are. But he was identified.
Trel Pryor was a known commodity by the time he
was fifteen. He was not quite but in the vicinity
of the lebron of football. Yep. I mean he was no.
It was known, Oh yeah, very much so. And that's
that's what makes it all so crazy. So I just
was pulling this up. He so, he committed to play
(08:33):
football at UCLA is a walk on. He's from Oaks
Christian School, so small school.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
Walk on.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Yeah, small school in Westlake Village, California. Played twenty six
games in his first three seasons, twenty seven tackles and
three he just.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Only played special teams.
Speaker 4 (08:50):
And then I think there was actually an injury his
senior year, because if I have it right, I don't
believe he started immediately the senior year. I think there
was an injury early in the senior year on that
UCLA team, and then that allowed hit for him to
jump in and become the guy.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
I was trying to see if he even had like
a I was curious, like what his recruiting profile was,
to see like you know, kind of that part of it. Okay, yeah, okay,
this is this at the stacks up. So he is
he's a zero star.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
Yeah, he's a no star.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
He's a no star. Yeah, like there are kids sometimes
who walk on at schools who are two stars or whatever.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
And no, he was a nose.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
So he had zero nothing, not ranked, not nothing. And
now some I mean, this is it's a stunning thing.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
So he wasn't a starter until Week three against LSU,
and he in his first game he had twelve tackles
and a half a tackle for a loss. And then
it was twelve tackles, starteing tackles, fifteen tackles, searching tackles ten, thirteen, seven, seventeen, twelve,
fifteen the rest of the way. I mean, then he
was that's when he was the guy who became the guy.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
That's cool. Yeah, it's really cool, really really cool story
for him. Some updates from practice d NPS today Dylan
Gabriel did not practice today, bless you, thank the Chief,
and Alex Wright and tomorrow Jamari Thrash all were d
nps today. What is your sense on those, my friend?
Speaker 4 (10:18):
Again, I don't think Alex right, I think that we're
still a little bit aways there. I think I feel
good about Najoku even though he's hasn't practiced last two days.
I would expect him to do at least a limited
practice tomorrow and be able to go.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Thrash. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
He was in active last week, but it was a
healthy and active so I don't know what's going.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
On there, all right, So there you go, There are
your y.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
I still feel good about Nadjoku.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
Chief will be in the mix. Yeah, gonna be a
fun one out there.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
Indeed, it's gonna be interesting, to say the least.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Yeah, I was talking to I couldn't get this confirmed
or not, but I know that they were looking into
it in terms of some other markets trying to add
that game later in the window. And I know Columbus
for sure was in conversations about maybe trying to to
pick up the game in the four o'clock window, because
right now they're showing Pats and Bengals, by the way,
(11:19):
and I don't maybe we have this sense what I
don't mean to step on it. But a very strange
exchange this morning on Cincinnati radio. Did you hear this?
Speaker 6 (11:27):
No? I did not.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
So Zach was on with Tom Brenneman, who does morning
radio down in Cincinnati now, and he was in studio
with him the way I understand it, and Tom was
pressing him about Burrow because Burrow did eleven on eleven yesterday,
and so he's like, is he gonna play Sunday? And
Zach played it pretty coy and Tom pressed him because
(11:51):
you're Tom brennan your dad's Marty, like, yep, you do
whatever you want Cincinnati, and well almost whatever you want
in Cincinnati, as it turns out. But and so he
pressed him on it, and Zach kind of just reiterated
what he was saying. But it did make me think,
Like and then when I looked at the scores on
Cincinnati New England, I was like, do they think that
(12:14):
there's a chance Burro plays Sunday?
Speaker 4 (12:19):
I mean, they've always been said they were targeting that
other game, but all the NFL insider guys were like, oh, maybe,
so who knows.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
I'd be I'd be curious.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
It's a matter of choice, like would you rather play
at home against Cincinnati on Sunday or four days later
against Baltimore on Thanksgiving because that's their schedule.
Speaker 6 (12:39):
I believe keV. Do you have that audio? Yes?
Speaker 3 (12:42):
I do.
Speaker 8 (12:42):
Let me pull up here on X.
Speaker 6 (12:44):
This is going to become courtesy of James Rapine, a
reporter for the Bengals down there on his exec former
guy at ninety two and yeah, former spot her for
years truly in the radio network.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Nice.
Speaker 9 (12:57):
Is there a chance did he play?
Speaker 10 (13:00):
I'm not there yet, you know, it's one day of practice.
Isn't going to lead to that decision yet, So we're
years the time we have at our disposal and come
with the best decision we can.
Speaker 9 (13:09):
You have to make a decision, and you'll consult with others.
But will this be a situation where Joe might come
into you, Joe Burrow, he might come to you and say, hey,
you know, coach, I feel like I'm ready to go.
Speaker 11 (13:21):
Oh yeah, yeah, And then that's that's that's my job,
you know, to balance balance all the information and protect
the player and make the best decision possible.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
You can tell us right now Burrow is playing it.
Speaker 6 (13:36):
He's playing it.
Speaker 10 (13:36):
Yeah, No, I wish I could. I wish I had
that decision today, you know, honestly, it's I'm going to
take in all the information I can and make sure
it's the best one for Joe and our team, and
we'll go from there.
Speaker 8 (13:48):
And that's seven hundred WLW down are in Cincinnati.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Hm.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
It sounds a heck of a lot more likely than I
would have thought it would sound right.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
Put it that way, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
I mean I would have thought they would have targeted,
you know, even two weeks from now. Goes back to
that whole thing, though, Like he's a professional, like this
is job. If he's healthy, feels good to play, let
him play like you know, you're he's twenty nine years old.
You know, he knows his body better than anybody else.
Their season is lost at this point, there's no don't
They have nine losses, eight, they have eight. They tied
(14:22):
with us, No, buddy, they I don't think. I think
they've only won one since they started two and zero. Yeah,
they're three and seven, three and seven, So I guess theoretically,
if you won.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Out because I knew Flacco won one Yeah, Flaco one one.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
So they won the first two with Burrow and then
they Flaco won one, and that's that's your three. Then
they dropped those two that were criminal, quite honestly, to
lose the two games that they lost to the Jets
and the Bears. But yeah, I guess, I guess if
Burrow's in there, I mean, no Chase Noice wee.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
No, no Chase suspended for spitting.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
Yeah, so you'd get that part of it. The other
thing going on in the Division, of course, is Pittsburgh
and the Rogers decision that has to be made there.
They get the Bears this week in Chicago. Arthur Smith
today saying I'm gonna trust Aaron on that it's not
his first rodeo. You know, he play in Chicago for sure.
I don't know if he's ever lost there.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
I don't know if he has either he kills them there.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
It's funny, like in Aaron Rodgers record, It's funny. All
you have to put in is Aaron Rodgers record and
then it fills out versus the Bears. Yeah, let's see
what the record now.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
In Good Morning Football, they had Seth Rollins on, who's
a big Bears fan, and they kept showing highlights and
he was not happy about it.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
All right, So he is nineteen and six at Soldier Field,
I would have honestly, I'm surprised that he has six losses. Yeah,
in fifteen seasons, he played twenty five games at Soldier
Field against the Bears, winning nineteen of them. It's pretty good. Yeah,
his overall record against the Bears, this is kind of
(15:53):
that doesn't make any sense. That doesn't add up. Sometimes
this Grock thing might not be everything I needed to.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
Be, might not be as it said.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
His overall record against the Bears is twenty five and five.
How could his overall record against the Bears be twenty
five and five but his record at Soldier Field is
nineteen and six.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
It's impossible.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
And then that up, brother, that's impossible. It does not
add up. So hold on, yeah, hold on, let's go.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
That's Grock telling you this.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
That's the AI on Google AI. That's okay, Google AI
is telling me that's what his record is against the Bears.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Yeah, I got it right now.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Then on stat music says his all time record against
the Bears is twenty four and five.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
I'm gonna get right, We're gonna get right now. All right,
we are going to this is.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
Pro football Pro Football Reference, so they are as far
as I'm concerned.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
That's gospel.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
That's where it's at.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Yes, you go, career game lugs, all right, the internet.
I must be after practice when they're doing the big
dumps of.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
Data.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
All right, Here we go, opponent, Here we go against
dub Bears. Come on, thing, this is captivating radio.
Speaker 6 (17:03):
It's really good, really crushing it.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
Well, I Tom, I can't what do you want me
to do?
Speaker 6 (17:08):
What you can do?
Speaker 3 (17:09):
Yeah, I'm just dealing.
Speaker 6 (17:10):
By the way, Tom brendanman. I like Tom. Tom was
always very generous with his time when he was on TV. Yeah,
and doing our games. The laugh is a little spooky,
all right.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
It's also kind of crazy how much he sounds exactly
like Marty.
Speaker 6 (17:22):
Now, oh, I want to fight Marty.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Why would Marty do to you?
Speaker 6 (17:26):
He's the voice of the Reds. I'm a Cardinal fan.
There's no love loss there.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
Ah, I got you Cardinals, Duke.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
Here we go.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
You ready, So we're gonna do just I'll tell you
if it's yes, Steelers, for sure.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
I'll tell you if it's.
Speaker 4 (17:40):
Road or so you can keep it tracking right, okay,
so and then overall so want to zero on the road.
Then he wins at home, win at home, win on
the road, win on the road, win at home, win
at home, win on the road, loss on the road.
(18:00):
First one, win at home, win at home, win at
the road, on the road, went on the road, win
at home, loss at home, went on the road, win
at home, went on the road, went on the road,
loss at home, win on the road, win at home,
(18:21):
win at home, went on the road, win at home,
loss on the road, win on the road, win at home,
loss on the road, win at home.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
And that's it all right. So it was the one
was right. It's he's twenty five and five all time
against the Bears. He is twelve and three at Soldier
Field while he was with the Packers, he was twelve
and three at Soldier Field, and he was thirteen and
two at home against the Bears.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Yeah, it feels pretty good.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Yeah, it's a house that he built. The one that
was most painful from as a as somebody who was
as a kid like the Bears a lot was the
one in the NFC Championship game. Jay Cutler, Jay Cutler,
Smoking Jay.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
Smoking Jay got hurt if I'm not mistaken.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
He did, and then everyone is like he's soft. And
then I think it came out later like he had
like a lace kidney or something crazy.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Internal Jay Cutler is he maybe great many things. He's
not soft.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
He's the modern day Jeff George. He's the he's the
heir apparent to Jeff George. I think there's a lot
of similarities there, buddy, I do. First of all, you
probably don't need to do a Jeff George breakdown again.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
No, we're not going.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
I think not going. It's probably pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
Never led the league in passing demerit, never let the
league in touchdown their exception ratio demerit.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
I just spent more on like the jerk scale. But
Jay Cutler is not a jerk. No, he's not now.
But the reputation as a player was that he was
a jerk. There's actually a story today by Greg Doyle
and The Indie Star about your boy Jeff George and
about how he's donating to those in need in Indy.
I haven't heard from him forever, but they had it
in there.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
I didn't realize, why has he not been on this program?
Speaker 2 (19:53):
I think I don't know I think he's.
Speaker 6 (19:54):
A there was someone who had it on a checklist.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Here's what here's no, no, no, let's do that.
Speaker 6 (20:03):
Hold on, no no, I said, I go, what's on
your list before you finished your internship? He goes, I'm
gonna get Jeff George on the show. I've never promised anything.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Fair fair, Here's what I would suggest, under promise, over deliver.
I think if he's living in Indie, we do it, combine.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
Get them. I'd even take him out the almost to
be quite for.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
We do the we do thele I'll tell you what
would be amazing is if we went to dinner with him, yeah,
and just had a honestly do it without would be
even better. But even if there was a camera to
just record the meal and all that went around.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
That, I think he would leave that dinner feeling really
good about himself.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
I don't know that he could feel better about himself
save for a couple of specific circumstances leaving a meal.
That's what I think, right, That's how I feel about that.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
He's going to our future establishment.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
That's it. That's the only way he's feeling better is

What what do you feel like you can do to
devise a game plan to help feel really confident and comfortable.
Speaker 13 (22:21):
Yeah, without getting into specifics obviously, you know you with
any quarterback, with any player, really with any quarterback, you
want them to feel as comfortable as possible. You know,
for young players like Dylan and Shadoor, you know, that's
pulling from a lot of different avenues. That's pulling from
things that you know they've been comfortable with within your system,
things you know that they like. So that's our number
(22:44):
one job, right You want to make a quarterback comfortable.
Speaker 8 (22:46):
You want to call plays.
Speaker 13 (22:48):
You want to put in plays that breathe confidence into
them as they hear them, as they call them, plays
that they know they can make work. And then you
press the guys around them to raise their level of
play and play well to continue to breathe comfort. And
it's into young players, into the young quarterbacks. So that's
really been the motivation this week moving forward, and had
a good first day of practice, had a good walk
(23:08):
through this morning, So continue to build off of that.
Speaker 12 (23:10):
What's the realistic expectation for what a week of just
that week of practice reps can do for Shador in
terms of from last what he did last Sunday to
this Sunday.
Speaker 13 (23:22):
Yeah, certainly, don't try to put any sort of expectation
on guys, especially young players. You know, I think we're
about our process and about what drives that process. You know,
certainly you look at having a full week of prep,
a full week of game planning, a full week of
him being in the forefront of your mind as a coach,
and he knows that as a player. You know, you
(23:42):
you hope that all those things benefit and come to
fruition on Sunday. Expectations, you know, I would say we
try to limit those. It's more about, Hey, we're gonna
pour you know, this whole week into into making sure
that you feel comfortable and confident, and you know, our
goal and our job to make sure that he gets
gets that feel and gets ready to go on Sunday.
Speaker 14 (24:03):
So much about trying to create explosives and you mentioned
it played the second last play and the one before that,
he took a shot his It feels like he has
a skill set for throwing them all deep and likes
to throw them all deep.
Speaker 6 (24:14):
Is that something you notice in something you maybe lean
into into with him.
Speaker 8 (24:18):
Yeah, I think you again make him feel comfortable.
Speaker 13 (24:21):
Is what are the things that you feel like he
excels at you know, that drive starter, right, he threw
a big incu to Harold that you know, really got
us into position and in two minutes. You're always looking
for a chunk at some point to kind of get
the drive going and get you in position to have
success down the stretch. So you know, we're going to
tailor to what he's comfortable with, Taylor, what he's confident in.
You know, we have confidence in our guys down the
(24:42):
field and make that play. We have confidence engaged when
the ball was in the air, I truly believe Gage
is going to make this play, especially the way that
the turn happened and all that we've seen Gauge make
those catches in practice a lot of times, and you know,
we have confidence in our guys to make those and
we have confidence and should order to make those as well.
Speaker 5 (24:58):
We can look back at the let's looks that the
Ravens show we got to the second half and just
what do you think overall you guys can can do to.
Speaker 7 (25:06):
Combat that a little bit better.
Speaker 13 (25:07):
Yeah, definitely felt like their plan shifted right with the
quarterback change and the amount of pressure that they brought.
You know, look, there's there's a lot of different things
we can do schematically without getting into all the details,
but certainly changing the launch point. We did a couple
of times. We max pro outed a couple of times.
You know, we got to be technically better in some areas.
We have to be in the right checks in some areas,
(25:28):
so you know that protection there's a lot of different
issues that are caused and it's our job as coaches
to keep defenses off balanced with our protection plan. And
then you know, we got to execute in some of
those specific looks as well.
Speaker 12 (25:41):
Going back to when should durin me that start in Carolina,
it seemed like early on, you know, he was drifting backwards,
you know, when when pressure would come, he kind of
tried to run backwards. And it seemed like as a
game progressed, he got more comfortable playing within the pocket.
Do you feel like that's something for him that you know,
as he just gets more reps, he'll get more comfortable
(26:02):
playing behind the guys in front of them.
Speaker 8 (26:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (26:05):
I think you know, that's his first time playing and
there's probably some some movements there that you want to eliminate.
And I think as you get into the flow, of game.
A lot of quarterbacks, you know, find their way as
those first couple of drives get going, and you know,
certainly for him, like you know, he stood like I
referenced that first play, the two minute drive. He stood
in there, knew what he had, knew what he wanted,
stayed in the heart of the pocket, delivered a good ball.
Speaker 8 (26:28):
You know. He moved a couple other times on.
Speaker 13 (26:29):
That last drive to extend or slid a little bit
to find Jerry on the completion on the shallow So
certainly in the flow of the game, you know, you
hope you kind of settle in and relax your feet
a little bit, and the more you're back there, the
more you feel confident and where those protections are and
where we are protecting him.
Speaker 8 (26:46):
But we got to do our part around him and
make sure that he feels that as well.
Speaker 14 (26:50):
Look at the Raiders defenses and start with Crosby for.
Speaker 8 (26:53):
You and then yeah, yeah, certainly.
Speaker 14 (26:55):
With your tackle uncertain again, like, how did you go
into it prepared to stop him?
Speaker 13 (27:01):
Yeah? Again, without too much schematic, he's obviously a great player,
extremely disruptive both run and pass. Even when he's not
getting to the passer, he affects so many passes by
getting his hands up, getting him passing lanes. I think
he does a nice job of reading the quarterback and
getting when he's not getting a great rush, of finding
ways to mirror and disrupt the ball relentless, front side,
(27:24):
back side of the run game. Like, his motor is tremendous,
and he's one of those guys across the league that
can really impact games and change games defensively. He had
a strip sack against Dallas, he had an interception against Chicago. Like,
he finds ways to impact the game. So it's all
of our jobs offensively to make sure that we, you know,
neutralize that the best we can understand. He's gonna win
some of his matchups, but try to eliminate the one
(27:46):
on ones as much as possible.
Speaker 6 (27:48):
On the field more than any big time.
Speaker 13 (27:50):
NGI yeah, his playtime is about as high as any
of those guys in the league. Like you look at
that upper echelon group of rushers, his playtimes about the highest.
Speaker 15 (28:00):
I think Gabriel and Sanders couldn't be more different. I mean,
besides one's lefty and one's righty. Gabriel seems to be
robotic as a quarterback and follows everything to the script,
and it seems like is like wants a free wheel
it and get excitable and throw it down field.
Speaker 7 (28:16):
More.
Speaker 15 (28:17):
You have tojudg yeah, mentality and calling plays all.
Speaker 13 (28:20):
It's funny like a coach a long time ago told me, like, hey,
when you play the quarterback position, there's an art in
the science, right, Like you can't be full time artists.
You can't be full time scientists. The great ones kind
of have that blend of when is it time to
play on script and when is it time to play
within the system, and then when is it time to
let your instinct take over. I think with all quarterbacks
(28:42):
you try to find that right blend. Right, I don't
think you can play this game completely by the book,
and I can't don't think you can play this game
completely like a cowboy, right, There's you got to have
the blend of both, and that's something we try to
instill in our guys. And I would say Shador has
some ability to play within the framework of the offense,
just like Dylan has some ability to play free and
(29:02):
great plays. And it's you know, as young players, I
think in this league you're trying to find your footing
on how to do that right, and so for both
of them, that's something that you know, we discuss and
we talk about and hey, we have a premier look,
let's play within it.
Speaker 8 (29:14):
Hey, go bail us. How to make us right and
find a way to make a play.
Speaker 16 (29:20):
All right.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Like for the other side of this, we head to
Las Vegas behind enemy lines and Raiders head coach Pete Carroll.
Speaker 17 (29:27):
There's a lot of talk about Ashton's limited touches, but
it's down in distance. If you're trailing when you come
out in that game and want to get him going
before three and out or a turnover, how do you
fix that with him going forward so he has more
help to just get off to a bigger start.
Speaker 18 (29:40):
Well, we did want to throw the ball early, and
we wanted to go after these guys a little bit
and see if we could, knowing that it was going
to be a hard game to stop them the top
offense and all that.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
So we that was part of.
Speaker 18 (29:50):
It, and we hoped to work our way into the
running game, but to score went the other way right
and put us behind enough where we just it kept
us in the mode that we have to keep the
football down the field. Some so you know in that night,
he doesn't get the football as much. We did throw
the ball to him well, and he did some nice
stuff for that, but just not enough for the balance
that you like. The balance doesn't have to happen in
(30:12):
the first quarter. The bounce has to happen when by
the time you make it through the game, and sometimes
the game dictates opportunities and you gotta take advantage of him.
I thought Gino and the receivers and Brock and the
fellows were doing a nice job of making some plays
for us and moving the field. But again, like we said,
we didn't get the finish of those drives to really
cash in.
Speaker 17 (30:30):
Let's start with Miles Garrett. I mean, he's been one
of the greatest players in this league historically. Here he's
got fifteen sacks and the ability to kind of chip
him and slow him down in this game. He is
a really tough game wrecker, as you talk about with
a lot of players.
Speaker 18 (30:43):
When we sit down, yeah, it's going to take a
little bit of everything to slow him down. We're going
to stay away from him, We're gonna have to double
him up. We're gonna have to double him and sometimes
still chip him. Again, there's a lot of things that
you have to do so that he can't control the
football game. It's like we see from Max. If you
notice the game gets shift did away from Max so
much of it they run away from him and they
always double him. Rarely does he get single blocked.
Speaker 19 (31:05):
Uh.
Speaker 18 (31:05):
And and it's that's the kind of attention that great
players draw. And this guy's this guy's loaded. Man, he's
really something.
Speaker 17 (31:12):
Last one there coach and Kevin Stefanski competing against him
in the past, a two time coach of the Year,
even on some teams that struggled, it just seems like
he's a guy knows the league inside now and in
the chess game with you and Patrick Graham, this is
a fun one knowing his ability to call plays.
Speaker 18 (31:27):
Yeah, he's had great success and and even in seasons
when they've struggled, he stood out, you know, and so
his his input. And also we got to get ready
for him. Again, we're not really deep into that plan yet,
but I know that they have the volatility and they've
got the background to really make it hard on you.
Speaker 2 (31:45):
So we got to be right.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
Coach.
Speaker 17 (31:46):
Last one is always your message to the fans coming
off that game.
Speaker 18 (31:49):
Yeah, well, as you could see that there was a
factor in the stadium. There was a lot of Dallas
people there in that stadium, and but it was it
was a lively game. It was it was loud, and
it was it was the kind of atmosphere that we like.
Unfortunately they had something to do with it. But we
just need him to keep coming back. We need to
give them reason and I keep telling you, and so
(32:10):
that is we're gonna have to work hand in hand
when the day arrives and that they know that they
got a club that they can count on winning, and
this place is going to be phenomenal. It's gonna be
a phenomenal place to play. And we need up that
factor as much as we can. But I know we
have to do it with the play that we bring
to it. So we're working together with that.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
I hope.
Speaker 6 (32:29):
Man.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
I love that accountability from Carol. I mean, I love
that he's a.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
Very like guy. He's right, Yeah, he's right, He's like
we need when we got to win.
Speaker 4 (32:37):
Yeah, when we win and we put a product out there,
people want to come see it and root for us,
its placed to be great.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
Yeah, but we have to earn that yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
I like that all right. Time for the first side
of the matchup. It is our offense against that Raiders defense.
It's presented by bally Bet. Bally Bet Sports but official
sports winning partner of your Cleveland Browns. Please bet responsibly.
Time for look at the Browns offense against the Raiders defense.
Now I like this man for Shador Sanders, and I'm
going to tell you why.
Speaker 4 (33:03):
So this is a team in Las Vegas where they
don't play much man coverage. In fact, they played just
fourteen percent man coverage thirtieth in the NFL eighty percent
zone six most. They're the number one cover three team
in the league. They're one of the bottom cover one
teams in the league. So you see that single ized
safety store, it is likely that it is going to
be zone. They do not play. They don't blitz a ton.
(33:25):
Now I think they will change that up. They also
play a ton of bass. They put three linebackers out there,
Adams Roberts and Devin White together they play a lot
of bass defense. So we have an opportunity, I think,
to get our tight ends. And now jamal As you
could say it's really a safety, but at this point
it's great he's playing linebacker where we can run at
that and we also have the ability, I think, to
(33:45):
throw at that. And I think for Shador Sanders, you know,
if they can give him clearly defined reads when they
understand that it's going to be a lot of zone
on the back end. This is Joe Woods. You know,
it's Patrick Grams DC, but Joe Woods is the pass
game coordinator. On defense, it's zone. It's what we saw
a lot of zone. So we really have an opportunity
I think in this one, like the half of the
defense they play is Cover three. It's the most in
(34:08):
the league. Yeah, so you're gonna see a ton of that.
So for Shador, it's about concepts where you have one
read and you should be able to create those for
him knowing you're going to get what you are going
to get the most time. Now, they're probab gonna play
more man than they have in the past, and they're
probably gonna blitz a little bit more than they have
in the past. Yep, they're not a Cover zero team
at all, so you know, five percent of the time,
(34:30):
so you're gonna see some of that. So you've got
to be prepared for those things. But I'll tell you what,
this is a good matchup. It's not a team that
really gets to the quarterback much outside of Max Crosby.
You've got to be really aware of him.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
On the edge.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
That Tyree Wilson, their first round pick in twenty three.
He's got two sacks. That's the most out there on
the edges. You know, Charles Snowden has a sack. Malcolm
Coons has a sack.
Speaker 3 (34:51):
That's it.
Speaker 4 (34:52):
So this is not a team where they've got a
ton of guys. It is Max Crosby. He has six
of their nineteen sacks. Jonah la Ulu he's got four
others and he's on the interior. But so those two
have more than half the sex. Like, this is not
a great pass rushing team. They are, They're a decent
coverage team, not great. This is a good matchup for him.
(35:15):
He should have time to throw, We should get him
some clean looks and we should know from what they're
going to do. And yes, they're gonna change up, but
you don't change up your DNA that much. No, Like,
they're still going to be ultimately a Cover three team. Now,
we had one game where you know we're the most
manned team and we played almost all zones, so yes,
they could switch it up. That's just not something that
they have done. That's not their bread and butter. You
gotta be ready for that. But I think they're gonna
(35:36):
be adds opportunities here for Shador Sanders against this defense
to take plays down the field, take some shots down
the field, but also be you know, comfortable and be
able to find the soft spots in those zones and
throw it accurately into those windows. And that he can
do so if he's protected, I think he can pick
this defense apart. Dak Prescott just did it. And obviously,
look he's got ceedee lamb, he's got George Pickens, he's
(35:57):
Dak Prescott. But nonetheless I think dialistically this is a
good matchup for him.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
No, but there were there were plays in the game
on Monday night where Pickens was running free free, So
like there there are opportunities here all over the map.
And I really think this is about as soft of
a landing spot for a debut. I mean, ideally, if
the weather was right, you'd want it to be at
home because then you get all the juice of that.
But this is going to be it's a Raiders home game.
(36:24):
But there's gonna be a lot of orange and brown. Yep,
it's grass, it's dome. So that's better than what the
product what the weather is probably going to be here
on Sunday. Yeah, so you have climate control. Sure has
got plenty of arm but like now you have pristine
conditions to throw in and and this idea of pretty
simple to kind of see what's available out there, and
and so yeah you should. This is there's a great
(36:46):
opportunity here. I really love this matchup for him. I
really do. I think that they do a real chance
for success here.
Speaker 3 (36:52):
Yeah, this is it's it's a Raiders team.
Speaker 4 (36:53):
Now they're going to do some middle of the field disguise,
you know, and that's something he's got to be ready for.
But they're not again, they're kind of in the middle
of the bottom half of the league in that twenty
first in terms of disguise twenty seven percent. This is
gonna be kind of what you see is what you get.
It's fifty eight percent of the time it's a single
ice safety and of that fifty fifty of the fifty eight.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
Is cover three.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
Yeah, like.
Speaker 3 (37:18):
Pretty good guest.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
Now you'll be able to know are they playing man
or not? But that's kind of what it. You know
you're gonna I think you're gonna have some good tells.
I think you're gonna use some if they show that
you know the single high, They're gonna use some of
your motions and you're gonna know pretty quickly if it's
zone or man. And I think if we can get
him pre snap tells that he knows its zone. Okay,
now we know its zone. We know it looks like
it's gonna be cover three. Here's the defender we're trying
(37:41):
to put in conflict.
Speaker 3 (37:42):
You read him. If he does a the ball goes here.
If he does be, the ball goes there. Like that's
what this has to be.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
If you could pick any Raider defensive player in history
to put on our team, who would you put on
our team the Cleveland You'd take any defensive Raider in
history and put them on this current Cleveland Browns while
they while they played with the Raiders. So he was
one of the first ones I thought of that. I
thought of. Chucky would obviously, but we're pretty good at
(38:10):
I mean, he's Hall of Fame corners. But Howie and
Miles would be crazy. Also thought about Jack Tatum on
the back end at safety would be a lot of fun.
Lester Hayes would be fun. Yeah, yeah, there's some cool ones.
How Brown, Well, it's just defense, we said, well offense.
Later I just was thinking, like any defensive raider off
(38:30):
of their all time team, I think it's probably Howie
that was the Initially I said Chucky and of course
partial owner and all of that here, But yeah, I
thought about Chucky would first. But then I thought, good Lord,
like Howie Long on one side, Miles on the other
would have been nuts nuts. Yeah, that might have been
the best at the line in the history of the league.
Speaker 6 (38:48):
Of all of those things, some of their all time
players on defense, Howie Long, Jack Tatum, Charles Woods and
Richard Seymourans.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
Mike Kyne's corner with Lester Hays, Lester Backdowns.
Speaker 6 (39:04):
George Atkinson, John Matusik, Chester McLaughlin, Rod Woodson.
Speaker 2 (39:12):
Hendricks, Woodson late Hendricks is a Hall of Fame teams,
Rowinson play on Steelers, Ravens and these guys.
Speaker 6 (39:19):
Yeah for sure, right, Bill Romanowski, we already got a linebacker.
We're good there, Lile Alzado, Ronnie lott Lyle Alzada was
here too, that you have to take him from their
Raiders ten Raiders tenure though, Yeah, I think that's I
think it's I think it's I think it's Howie. Yeah, Khalil.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
Khalil mc could be nuts too. Was he his best
there he was, right or or I think he was.
Speaker 4 (39:51):
Might have been his best with the Barraslet's team, all right,
Howie Long is a.
Speaker 3 (39:57):
You're taking.
Speaker 4 (39:57):
We're talking right now, we're taking nineteen eighty three to
nineteen eighty five, Howie Long, That's.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
Who I'm going with.
Speaker 4 (40:03):
Where he had thirteen twelve ten sacks, was first team
All Pro twice, second team All Pro, once Pro, eight
time Pro Bowler gold jacket. He's yeah, I mean that's
pretty good. Let's see Khalil Mack. Khalil mack stats might
be better, but again different era. Sure, so Khalil Mack
with the Raiders. So clib Mack with the Raiders goes
(40:23):
in twenty fifteen fifteen sacks, first team All Pro, two
thy and sixteen first team All Pro, and he wins
Defensive Player of the Year. He has eleven sacks, a pick,
five force fumbles, fourteen tackles for last the year before
he had fifteen sacks and twenty three tackles for US,
So maybe it was like they're like, oh, we probably
should have given it to him lat year and then
the third and last year in Oakland, ten and a
(40:44):
half Secks makes the Pro Bowl.
Speaker 3 (40:46):
He'd have one more.
Speaker 4 (40:46):
So he has two first team All Pro years in Oakland.
His most sex ever was seventeen, which happened with the
Chargers at the age of thirty two. Chicago's first year,
he was first team All Pro as well twelve and
a half secks.
Speaker 3 (41:02):
Howie Longs is such an iconic Raider, That's why I would.
Speaker 2 (41:05):
I still think you have it right. I still think
you have it right that it's Howie long But I
think that's a It's a pretty good list. Yeah, yeah,
CHUCKI Woodson was probably better. It's weird like you think
of him as I think it was a Raider first,
but he won Defensive Player of the Year with the Packers.
That actually came there. I just pulled it up. He was.
He was first team All Pro four times twice with
the Raiders, twice with the Packers, second team All Pro
(41:27):
three times twice, and it worked out the same twice
with the Raiders twice with the Packers. His second stint
with the Raiders, he picked up a second second team
All Pro nine time pro bowler for Chucky would But yeah,
I think I think it's Howie. Howie in Miles would
be ridiculous. Yeah, speaking of great corners, Denzel Ward was
z coming up next to listen to Cleveland Browns Daily
on eight fifty ESPN Cleveland.
Speaker 1 (41:56):

Speaker 3 (42:18):
Denzel, how you doing doing?
Speaker 2 (42:19):
Good Man?
Speaker 6 (42:19):
How you doing?
Speaker 3 (42:20):
I'm doing very well.
Speaker 4 (42:21):
I got to ask you a couple of weeks ago,
play the Jets. They don't even target you in the game.
When's the last time you were not targeted at.
Speaker 3 (42:28):
All in a game?
Speaker 20 (42:29):
I couldn't even tell you.
Speaker 3 (42:31):
Is that first time in the NFL that you can remember?
Speaker 16 (42:33):
Yes, that was the first so I can remember not
getting one. No, no, no, I didn't get target one
time against Pittsburgh. I think last year might have been,
but yeo, it was. That's definitely crazy.
Speaker 4 (42:43):
What's that like when you're going through a game, Like,
at some point, are you kind of like, throw it
my way, give me an opportunity.
Speaker 16 (42:48):
Yeah, it's just kind of like it gets annoying a
little bit because I want to be in the game.
I want to be involved, make plays, you know, make
those game changing plays for the team. But yeah, I'm
just going out there doing my job and trying to
lock down the entires. But uh yeah, I'm looking for
the action.
Speaker 6 (43:03):
Though.
Speaker 4 (43:03):
Is it hard to kind of mentally stake at some
point you realize, Okay, they're not throwing it my way,
like that's clearly part of their plan. And in that game,
by the way, they threw five passes beyond the line
of scrimmage total, so it was a very unique game.
But is it hard to kind of maintain that focus
that you need to have because you know, all these
guys are they're pros too, and if you sleep on it,
(43:23):
these guys can still run, they can run right by it.
Speaker 16 (43:25):
Yeah, it's a little hard, but ya to stay locked
in the entire time, and you know, know that the
just anticipate the ball has got to come at some
point and so once they do come, being able to
lock in and make that play once it does come.
Speaker 20 (43:37):
But uh, yeah, it was a little tough.
Speaker 4 (43:39):
Like there was one against Baltimore where I think if
you looked at the matchups pre snap, I think Kylan
Wallace was on you that you would assume the ball
was probably going to go somewhere else in the one
on one because I think we went cover zero on
that one and then it went you're way and you
were right there.
Speaker 3 (43:52):
But that's you know, that's just being a pro right,
knowing that. Okay, yeah, this is if they were looking
at the odds here, this is probably the lowest percentage odds,
but and there came the ball.
Speaker 16 (44:00):
Yeah, definitely wasn't thinking that the ball would come my way, right,
You would think that they look more towards their number
one matchup, like a their slot receiver number four or
something like that Andrews. But yeah, like I said, just
always got to be ready at all times. You know
that ball would come out whenever gets targeted whatever so
just being ready to make your play.
Speaker 4 (44:19):
So Miles has ten sacks in the last three games.
It's the most anybody in NFL history. It's hight with
Richard Den did it in nineteen eighty four, Who's in
the Hall of Fame. Now, do you ever find yourself
at times just kind of watching me like this is crazy?
Speaker 20 (44:30):
Yeah, that's how I said.
Speaker 16 (44:31):
Reasons Like Miles, he's putting up video game numbers now
in numbers, so it is exciting to see, you know,
I'm loving playing with them, you know, obviously we definitely
want to get the wins, but just to be able
to watch a special player like that and play alongside him,
it's been fun.
Speaker 4 (44:44):
What's it been like for you now that it's been
a few weeks since we last talked with Tyson coming
into the mix, because he's playing at a very high
level as well, and it feels like just kind of
a natural fit for what we do and a physical
guy too.
Speaker 3 (44:55):
There was one where he took on Patrick Ricard and
made a tackle.
Speaker 2 (44:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 20 (44:58):
I think that's the biggest thing.
Speaker 16 (45:00):
He's a natural fit obviously playing at a high level
making plays out there. So it's been smooth. It's been
a smooth transition. I feel for him coming on to
the team, and he's been a great team made in there.
Speaker 4 (45:10):
When you guys go against a guy like Lamar Jackson
and hold him to by far his worst games season,
one of the worst games he's had really in a long, long,
long time, I know the results aren't there, and we
all know that that's what you guys want.
Speaker 3 (45:21):
We want those wins. It's a team game.
Speaker 4 (45:23):
You guys can control what you can control when you're
out on the field. How pleased are you with where
this defense is right now?
Speaker 16 (45:29):
Yeah, I mean I'm very pleased. I think we're number
one as a defense right now. But just gotta say consistent.
You know, we're gonna continue to do our job and
not get complacent and continue to try to put our offense,
special teams, the entire team just in the best position
as possible come every Sunday, every game day, and that's
really our.
Speaker 6 (45:47):
Goal, all right.
Speaker 3 (45:48):
One of those plays that's hidden that it really doesn't
if you just kind of box score watch you didn't
watch the game, you wouldn't notice you like how Derek
Cannery ran for fifty nine yards or whatever. Okay, two things.
Speaker 4 (45:57):
Number One, are you still surprised at how fast he
is in the open field because he even kind of
got like has hit up a little bit and had
it got like a little bump step.
Speaker 3 (46:06):
I mean, it's a big guy to get going like that.
Speaker 16 (46:08):
You know, that is a big guy get going. So
he definitely got some speed for how big he is,
got a good stride on him.
Speaker 3 (46:14):
Yeah, he ran him down though, right, Yeah.
Speaker 20 (46:16):
Definitely ran him down. You know, take a lot of pride.
Speaker 16 (46:18):
I feel like I'm one of the guys on the
team that could, whenever a big play break or something
like that, I could run those guys down and just
trying to be there for my teammates and coaches and
everybody and give us a second chance of stopping them
and hopefully get the ball back for us.
Speaker 2 (46:31):
And you did.
Speaker 4 (46:31):
I mean that was a that's a four point play,
that is without question. Now, when you're going at him
right there, you had not the angle. You just straight
up caught up to him.
Speaker 3 (46:41):
What are you thinking to get him because you did
a great job just basically taking out his entire right leg,
because that's a that's a big guy and if you
don't get him solid, he's running right through it.
Speaker 16 (46:51):
Yeah, so the main goal I was like, I gotta
I gotta catch him first. So that was the main thing,
to try to run, run as fast as I can
and catch up to him. And then I'm just trying
to knock them all balance, you know, attack his legs
and get him on the ground highever I can. So
I was glad to be able to do that and
give us a chance of stopping them from touchdown.
Speaker 3 (47:08):
So did you get the GPS on that in terms
of what you hit miles per hoor?
Speaker 20 (47:12):
I think it says like twenty one's five or something
like that.
Speaker 4 (47:15):
Okay, so was that with where you so you entice
and then because he had a couple of rundowns as well,
the one where he ran down a chan against that
was in the twenty ones, I want to say that's flying.
Speaker 20 (47:25):
Yeah, yeah, that's fine.
Speaker 6 (47:26):
It's good. You let him know.
Speaker 3 (47:27):
I can sell say no, he wasn't you, young fellow,
I can still run.
Speaker 20 (47:30):
Oh yeah, we're not too far oh not too far out.
Speaker 7 (47:32):
All right.
Speaker 4 (47:32):
Let's take our attention now to Vegas as a team
that you know traded there who had been their number
one receiver, Jacobe Myers. He's now in Jacksonville last week,
and I'm sure youse music to your ears. In the
first half their first thirty four place thirty one were passes.
I like to hear that they're gonna put the ball
in the air and that's gonna get Miles opportunities and
get you guys opportunity. Theyve thrown a lot of interceptions
(47:53):
as well. This feels like an opportunity to go get one.
Speaker 16 (47:55):
Yeah, definitely a great opportunity here, and that make a
lot of passes, you know, so at opportunities at the
ball and making plays for the scene.
Speaker 20 (48:02):
So I'm looking forward to that.
Speaker 4 (48:04):
When you think of this defense and the fact that
you know, we talked about you're playing at a high level,
Grant Ronnie Tyson in the back end, second level, Devin
and Carson, what the front line's doing. When you think
about the fact that it was probably supposed to be
like when they drew it up in their mind's eye, right,
it was supposed to be Jordan Hicks at Mike linebacker
and j ok probably at the will, and all of
a sudden things happened in this league and things changed.
(48:25):
J Okay hurt Hicks retires incomes a rookie and Devin
Bush former first rund pick. When you see Carson Swester
go out there, we already forgot that he had a
high ankle spring three weeks ago. Guys that missed the game.
He's out there making plays. There was one where he
stoned Derrick Henry in the hole. You know what's it
been like having him a young guy out there as
that Mike who has really been a rock in the
middle of this defense man.
Speaker 16 (48:45):
He's a special player, Swissinger. He's a rookie, but not
You wouldn't if you didn't know, you just want to
turn on the tabe. You wouldn't think that he's a rookie.
So he's getting us all in the right positions, right calls,
playing fast out there making plays. You can't you can't
say enough about it. He's a great player, you know,
a beat it. They did a great job of drafting
all these guys and a draft they're all coming in
making plays and helping his team out.
Speaker 4 (49:07):
Is it wild thinking that he think you were always
a starter, like he was a one year starter. He
didn't really play until his senior year at UCLA, and
here he is in the NFL. Do you think about
going against the offenses. We've gone against Miami, Green Bay, Detroit,
Minnesota with O'Connell twice. With these are all eye candy,
heavy motion. Their whole job is to confuse young players,
and he's been right there.
Speaker 6 (49:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 20 (49:29):
No, he's a smart player. I think that's basically.
Speaker 16 (49:31):
He's athletic as well too, though, but you definitely could
notice his smart in the meetings and on a field
and again guys in the right position, so it's definitely
translated for him.
Speaker 3 (49:41):
So I don't know if you know.
Speaker 4 (49:42):
There's a little news that came out of Berea today
about the starting quarterback for this game, Shador, saying it's
going to start for the Cleveland Browns. Now you have
the rare opportunity. You've seen him a lot in scout team.
What have you seen from Shador and what are you
excited to see kind of take that on the field.
Full week of work getting ready here for the Raiders.
Speaker 16 (49:59):
Yeah, just he's a great He's gonna be a great
player off I'm looking forward to seeing the preparation he
has this week and being able to go out there
confident and uh make it seeing him make plays. So
I know he throws a great ball and uh, you know,
we go rally behind him and we'll go from there.
Speaker 2 (50:16):
Let's go.
Speaker 3 (50:16):
It's time to get a win.
Speaker 20 (50:17):
But it's about time.
Speaker 3 (50:18):
It's about time, Denzel.
Speaker 4 (50:20):
Always a pleasure to talk to you, enjoy watching you
out on the field playing as one of the best
quarterbacks in this league.
Speaker 3 (50:25):
And hopefully we can go out to Vegas and get
a big win.
Speaker 20 (50:27):

Speaker 12 (51:29):
What more can you say about Miles Geartt the season
that he's having and have you ever seen.
Speaker 16 (51:35):
Anything like it?
Speaker 21 (51:37):
He's got a lot more to give, and you know,
I'm super proud of him for where he is right now,
But this isn't this isn't the the final.
Speaker 8 (51:51):
Story yet.
Speaker 21 (51:53):
You know, he's doing a really good job within the
scheme and like I've told you guys before, I'm always
most proud out of the way he plays to run
as opposed to how he rushes the passer. And it's
a lot to be proud of the way he rushes
the passer. But to have the production he has, with
the opportunities he's had and also with the attention that
(52:14):
he receives, is it's it's fun to watch.
Speaker 19 (52:18):
I said, do you feel like especially after challenging him,
you know earlier this off season after he got the contract.
Do you feel like he's playing at the highest level
that you've seen him since you've been here.
Speaker 21 (52:29):
He's playing at a high level. Miles has always played
at a high level. But I do appreciate his attitude
of working hard to improve. You know, told that anecdote
a couple of weeks ago, being on the practice field
and just like not wanting to come off and waving
any sub out, which again is really unusual. I know
(52:52):
you guys like to talk a lot about who gets
first team reps, but you know, in that case, that was,
you know, was It's fun to watch. But he's he's
he's still hungry, He's he.
Speaker 6 (53:07):
Wears it really well.
Speaker 8 (53:08):
He knows he's a marked man, and you know.
Speaker 21 (53:12):
I think number one, he's He's also really done a
good job of of celebrating the other guys around him,
which has probably allowed him to have a little bit
more success. I don't know that his pass rush win
raid has really improved a lot, but having some other
guys up there that you know, that he encourages, that
(53:34):
he works with, has made a big difference for him,
particularly our inside pass rush.
Speaker 7 (53:40):
Alex Right got a new deal, so he's here for.
Speaker 10 (53:42):
The long run.
Speaker 21 (53:43):
Yeah, yeah, really really proud of Alex too. Alex has
played really good football for us and just been derailed
by a couple of injuries, you know, most notably the
one last year and was really being we really missed
Alex last year.
Speaker 6 (54:00):
Number one.
Speaker 21 (54:00):
He is a physical presence in the run game. He's
got great size. You know, some of our best plays
on the edge are are Alex taking on polers and
knocking tight ends back, and you know, those are things
we really value. And he's and he's rushed really well
for us too and been a good compliment. You know,
(54:23):
a lot of times we you know, we look at
individual performances. You know, it's hard to ignore Miles as
individual performance. But when it's all said and done, D
line has a lot of like O line components to
it in that it's the production of the group, you know,
and you know, like generally offensive line, it's not just
(54:43):
one guy that gets beat or one guy.
Speaker 6 (54:46):
That has success.
Speaker 21 (54:46):
And it's it's pretty much the same way across the
defensive line, you know, and Alex has played a really
strong part of that. We have a good rotation up there.
Hopefully we'll be able to get him back on the
field pretty quickly. But yeah, and I think it's a
good sign also when you're drafting and developing your players.
We know how hard it is to sign those guys,
(55:09):
you know, beast rushers aren't cheap finding those guys in
the in the free agent market. So I think it's
a good sign for us that we're developing some players
and getting production out of guys like Alex and z
and Cam and you know, all across the board.
Speaker 19 (55:26):
What about getting the NFL Rookie of the Week Hunner
and you know, granted today that I think after the
game mentioned playing at like an all pro level, not
just a Rookie of the year level, Like what what
do you.
Speaker 6 (55:39):
Think in that regard?
Speaker 21 (55:42):
Yeah, I gave him a I gave him a big
compliment on Monday because I was I was with Ray
Lewis's first three years in the NFL, and I don't
think and Ray's obviously Hall of Famer maybe the best
for to play the middle linebacker position, but the command
(56:04):
that Carson has now and a lot of respects took
took Ray his third year in the league before you
know it. You know, middle linebacker is a harp, is
a linebacker is a hard position to play for a
young player. You have to have all of the run fits,
you have to have the physicality to play and there
(56:25):
you have to be a productive tackler. You have to
know all the blitzes. You have to you know, you
have to have all the coverage components, and a lot
of times it takes guys sort of piece meal to
put all of that stuff together, right. You know, they
come out as rookies and you know, while they really
played a run well, but they got work on the
past or they don't really rush well. And that's no
(56:46):
disrespect to any player that's ever played. It's just that's
what goes on in the NFL. It's a very difficult position,
you know, and he's been right in the middle of it,
and it's been fun to watch because not only does
he do all that stuff well, but he has great command.
He's a great leader for us. He's our play caller,
(57:08):
very rarely makes a mistake. When he does make a mistake,
it doesn't repeat. And he's very productive on the field.
So that's well deserved from him. But you know, a
little bit like we were talking about Miles, you know,
that's that's not going to stand alone.
Speaker 6 (57:22):
For this season.
Speaker 21 (57:22):
We got a lot of football to play and there's
a lot of plays left for Carson to make. You know,
we talked earlier and you guys saw a lot of
training camp, and you saw the interceptions and the plays
on the ball, and early in the season we weren't
what we weren't seeing that, and we just said, you know,
it's just a matter of time because the guy's a
magnet for the ball and we've started seeing that recently too,
(57:44):
game changing plays like that. So really proud of his
of his.
Speaker 8 (57:50):
Development.
Speaker 21 (57:52):
Really big hats off to him, big big hat off
or big salute to coach Tarvor, who does a great
job with the linebackers in general. But to get a
rookie producer at that level is is pretty significants.
Speaker 7 (58:08):
Of a really good, really good rookie running back and
we're down to like one receiver. So does that simplify
the defensive game plan?
Speaker 21 (58:19):
Now, it's never easy when you're facing those kind of guys,
particularly Powers. He might be the best pass receiving tight
end in the league right now. He runs like a
wide receiver, He runs great routes, He has great instincts
to sit down in zones, he's good down the field,
you know, so we got our work cut out for
us with him. They really missed him when he was
(58:40):
out early in the season. Their offense really took a
big step back. And now they have him, they have
him back. So and I'd say this with with the
running back with Gente is his tape looks a lot
better than his stats. You know, you look at his stats,
he's averaging three seven, which you know, you know is
a is a great but then you watch his tape
(59:01):
and you don't see where that is because that guy
is breaking tackles, making people miss.
Speaker 8 (59:06):
You know, there is like nothing to hit on him.
Speaker 21 (59:08):
He's like a bowling ball out there, five foot eight
and change and two hundred and fifteen two hundred and
twenty pounds. He's a power running back. You know, I
think that he's going to be a good player. But
just like every week, we gotta we got to try
to stop the run. We got to try to try
to force them to throw it and taking his part
(59:30):
of the run game away. They're a really good wide
zone running team, and you know it'll be a great
challenge for.
Speaker 2 (59:36):
Us, well, coach, they seem to be quite willing to
throw it. Gino threw it a lot on Monday night
against the Cowboys. And speaking of Gino, let's go now
to the podium in Las Vegas, behind enemy lines with
Raiders quarterback Gino Smith.
Speaker 12 (59:49):
You know, after we watched the.
Speaker 22 (59:50):
Game, soil, was there anything that maybe stood out to
you that you noticed that you know, keyed up maybe
in the future, or there's maybe things you didn't see
at field level.
Speaker 7 (01:00:00):
I know it was pretty much what I saw in
the game. It was just the same thing.
Speaker 23 (01:00:03):
We got to execute in the red zone, you know,
score touchdowns in the red zone. Thought he moved the ball,
you know, pretty pretty decent, but you know when we
got to scoring position, we didn't finish and so that
led to three points in our seven.
Speaker 8 (01:00:15):
What makes Miles Garrett such an an elite pass rusher?
Speaker 7 (01:00:18):
Yeah, I mean he has it all.
Speaker 23 (01:00:19):
He's obviously a physical specimen, you know, big, big dude
that can run fast, but he has all the moves.
He got speed, he's got power, and he's he's very disruptive.
Speaker 7 (01:00:29):
You can see it.
Speaker 23 (01:00:30):
Uh he's he's had a really hot past three weeks
and uh, you know, we got to cool him down.
Speaker 2 (01:00:35):
See, he's part of a real thro defensive line.
Speaker 7 (01:00:37):
I guess is there things you can do to maybe
help the offensive line?
Speaker 23 (01:00:40):
Yeah, always get the ball out, you know, that's that's
a big part is getting the ball out and you know,
hitting my back foot, getting that ball out fast, so
they don't you know, have a chance to uh, you know,
work their moves and uh. You know that's something that
we're build into, try to build him to the game plan.
But the main thing is that you know, we we execute.
We got to block him. You know, it's it's nowhere
around it. You got to block the guy. And you know,
I've got to get the ball out so I can
(01:01:01):
help those guys. Yeah, man, I'm happy for my guy. Man,
you know, a Stwo's a guy who I've been you know,
talking to for a long time, and you know, just
happy to see him, you know, getting a shot. You know,
but unfortunately it's against us, but you know, happy to
see him get a shot.
Speaker 7 (01:01:16):
Or have you had some some type of relationship with
your doord I mean for a long time, probably since
he was in high school.
Speaker 22 (01:01:23):
What is the fine line, geno between not throwing a
ball away and taking a shot at an I N
T and taking a sack. Where's that fine line in
a quarterback's mind, because it's happening, so bang bang.
Speaker 23 (01:01:34):
Those are two negatives. So I don't want to take
a sack or throw an interception. I'm trying to complete
passes and uh, when you play in the NFL, it's
the hardest league you can play, and so things happen.
Speaker 7 (01:01:43):
But I'm I'm an aggressive player. Uh.
Speaker 23 (01:01:45):
You know the playoffs, you know, the guy had his
back turned through the ball to the spot, he turned
his head and you know, threw his hand up, got
a tip on it, and went to a defender. Again,
process over results, Yeah, check it down next time. But again,
I'm an aggressive player and I'm always gonna be that way.
I think that's what got me here. And while I'm
still here, I don't know if you want to say
Lightning Rod or somebody that people that people know about,
(01:02:06):
they talk about, their interested in him.
Speaker 2 (01:02:08):
You were a quarterback that came out and highly regarded
out of West Virginia.
Speaker 6 (01:02:12):
How do you handle that?
Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
Just that not not necessarily a notoriety, but the scrutiny
that comes with that.
Speaker 23 (01:02:17):
I mean, he's Deon Sanderson, so he should be you know,
he's He's fine with that. You know, he's had to
deal with that his entire life. So you know, when
when you're dealing with scrutiny, I mean, who if you
listen to it, that's on you. If it matters to
you personally, it don't matter to me, So I really
don't care about it.
Speaker 7 (01:02:33):
But uh, I'm focused on.
Speaker 23 (01:02:34):
Doing my job and executing and being the best player
that I can be every single day. But as far
as Shada goes, he's living his life and he can
only speak for that. But you know, my advice is
always to him is to go out there and be
yourself in the player game.

Browns defense against that Raiders offense and for the details
(01:03:11):
on that, we turn it over to duc to Ze.
Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
Browns a pretty good on defense.
Speaker 4 (01:03:18):
It turns out number one overall pass defense in the league,
number two total defense. They have been phenomenal, top ten
and third down conversion, red zone they've been just the
Browns have gotten it going here. On the defensive side
of the football, they allow the fewest first downs per game.
Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
They have the fourth most sacks. This is a darn
good defense here, and so the.
Speaker 4 (01:03:39):
Browns have got to keep that going, and this should
be a matchup in which they can keep it going.
Not a great offensive line for the Raiders. They are
thirtieth rushing the ball. They are thirtieth total, twenty fifth
passing the ball, thirty first, scoring, thirty first in the
mount of first downs per game that they themselves get
their twenty first on third down, twenty ninth on fourth down,
thirtieth in the red zone. This is a Browns team
(01:04:01):
that I think has an opportunity to absolutely shut them out.
Speaker 6 (01:04:06):
Now.
Speaker 4 (01:04:06):
They've got two really good young players. Ashton gent They're
running back, is a very good player. He's got right
now on the season over seven hundred total yards and
seven touchdowns. Brock Bowers their leading receiver, and he missed
a lot of time this year, still has thirty nine catches,
four hundred and fifty five yards, three touchdowns. His rookie year,
he had one hundred and twelve catches, eleven hundred and
ninety five four yards and five touchdowns. Was the first
(01:04:27):
team All Pro tight end.
Speaker 3 (01:04:28):
So those are the.
Speaker 4 (01:04:30):
Guys other wide receivers keep an eye on. They brought
in Tyler Lockett, who had four thousand yard seasons with Seattle.
Lockett in three games eight catches seventy seven yards. They
also have Trey Tucker who has a team high five
hundred and two yards and five touchdowns this season on
thirty eight catches, So he's going to be kind of
the receiver that does the.
Speaker 3 (01:04:48):
Most for them. But that's it.
Speaker 4 (01:04:50):
Gino Smith is having I think a tough, tough season.
I don't think there's any other way to say it. Yeah,
two and eight, twelve touchdowns, thirteen picks, those lead under pressure.
He's been terrible. Six interceptions of forty four rating. You
got to heat him up, and I think the Browns
certainly have everything they need to be able.
Speaker 2 (01:05:08):
To do that in this game. Certainly feels that way.

Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
All right, just gonna tie Boe on this one.
Speaker 4 (01:06:25):
The fact of the matter is this, folks, Miles Garrett
is simply amazing to the point where we're normalizing.
Speaker 3 (01:06:30):
Oh, he had four sex this week.
Speaker 2 (01:06:32):
Oh okay, just like no big deal.
Speaker 3 (01:06:33):
Yeah, like, no, that is a big deal.
Speaker 4 (01:06:35):
In fact, there's three times he's had four or more
sex in an entire Brown's career and this was one
of them. He is two sacks away from a new
franchise record. He owns the Browns franchise career single season,
single game record. Sixteen is the record. He did that
both in twenty one and twenty two. He's leading the
NFL and tackles for loss. The next tackle for loss
(01:06:56):
he gets will also be a new career high form
in that regard. He has an opportunity this year, and
I think a pretty good one, given his current trajectory,
to be only the second player to ever have thirty
tackles for loss in a season YEP, joining JJJJ Watt
who did it he had thirty nine twenty nine, twenty eight.
So he has an opportunity to do that.
Speaker 3 (01:07:14):
He's just been. He's been. It's insane and I really
think that.
Speaker 4 (01:07:18):
You know, not only is it Alex Right who got
paid today, and Isaiah maguire and Cam Thomas on the
other side, but Malike Collins and Mason Graham and Mike
Hall and Shelby Harrison, Aiden Huntington in the middle that
have really kind of helped him out. But he's just
playing football on just a completely absurd level. And the
Browns have an opportunity to do something that has not
been done since it was done by one person. So
(01:07:39):
no team has had the defensive player of the year
and the defensive rookie of the year on the same team.
It's happened one time only and it was the same player.
It was Lawrence Taylor. Lawrence the defensive the Year and
defensive player of the Year with the Giants. So that
to me is pretty wild. That's incredible.
Speaker 3 (01:07:57):
Yeah, So there you go.
Speaker 2 (01:07:58):
He's on pace to break the all time sack record
and have the second most tackles for loss in a
single season in NFL history. That's what's in play. I mean,
it's crazy stuff that he's done at this point. Absolutely.

We're getting close on the fantasy side, Doc to Z.
Speaker 16 (01:08:33):
We are.
Speaker 4 (01:08:33):
Yeah, three weeks in most leagues, you know, to go
until the playoffs. Big things happen. And and by the way,
if Joe Burrow's on your waiver wireing in your league's
go grab If somebody cut him because they didn't have
an IR spot, please go out there and get him.
Speaker 2 (01:08:46):
I think they would be very wise to do. Just
giving an update on that. Burrow was a full participant
for the second straight day today down in Cincinnati. That's
coming in the last five minutes. Joe Flacco was for
the second straight day limited, So Burrow got the full
workload as the number one quarterback in Cincinnati today.
Speaker 3 (01:09:02):
If he's taking first team reps in practice, he starting,
That's what I think.
Speaker 4 (01:09:07):
Yeah, it doesn't. Now, full workload doesn't. A full practice
means he got the full lotman of reps he was
supposed to get, so he could have a full practice, yes,
and not have been and been the backup.
Speaker 2 (01:09:18):
Explain that if Flacco is still the starter, Flacco could
be limited as he was in his reps, but still
get the one reps limited one reps. Burrow could get
the full participant of the two reps leading the scout teams,
which is the scout team. But I feel like, I
don't know, seems to me like he's gonna play.
Speaker 3 (01:09:35):
That's what's yeah, that's.
Speaker 4 (01:09:38):
Get first team reps all right, Quarterbacks, I mean, look
at Burrow plays. I think you would play him even
though you do not have Jamar Chase in this one.
Rock Perty's back. I like him against Carolina on Monday Night,
Jacoby Brissett, They're just gonna throw the heck out of
the ball. You can keep starting him. Darnald Lawrence, I
don't Bryce Young I think has a good game as well.
Speaker 3 (01:09:58):
The four nineers can't rush the quarterback.
Speaker 4 (01:09:59):
He just had the greatest passing game in Carolina Panthers
history last week. At the running back position. I like
Woody Marks tonight. Woody Marks and James Cook, both of
those guys in that game tonight, I think should have
a lot of success. It's kind of a situation developing
right now, obviously down in Tampa, but Sean Tucker is
getting a lot of action. He's somebody wh can get
(01:10:19):
into your lineups. Emmanuel Wilson with somebody that should have
been picked up this week. Looks like Jacobs is out.
He will be the starter for green Bay against Minnesota,
and he's somebody that you want to start for the
most part. Tho, it's just it's the guys you know
and the names you know. We've gotta get Quinn Sewan going,
I think against the Raiders. This gould be a good
game for Quinn Shawn Judkins, hopefully to get back into
the end zone. It's been three games since he's been
(01:10:40):
into the end zone, so you certainly would like to
see him get an opportunity to do that in this
game today, But.
Speaker 3 (01:10:48):
I guess we will wait and see.
Speaker 4 (01:10:50):
Right now, it has not been as productive recently for
him as you would certainly like wide receivers.
Speaker 3 (01:10:55):
Again, this is not hard. Go with the guys that
you know.
Speaker 4 (01:10:58):
Michael Wilson, that is not a Flucas Esecially, if Martin
Harrison's out again, you want him in Arizona. Jacoby Brissette
developed a chemistry with him. He's gonna throw it to
him and Trey McBride. It feels like almost every single
play Alec Pierce on those home run balls has become
a viable option. And I think this week Yoshivash is
not a bad play. Yoshavash not a bad play with
Jamar Chase out because he'll be the number two there.
(01:11:19):
With t Higgins tight ends again, you kind of know
at this point who the guys are. Johnson in New
Orleans has played pretty well of late. Kelsey's playing really well.
You can continue to roll with him. I think if
David a joke, I think David Joku will play, But
if he did not play, Harold Fanna would be a
good start this week. And then defense is Seattle against Tennessee,
Ravens against the Jets, Browns against Vegas. I also like
(01:11:44):
this week. Let me see, I pulled one in one
of my leagues. It was a little bit like kind
of off the beaten path that I pulled. I think
the Jags against Arizona, they get a lot of takeaways,
is not a terrible one. And that's those are some
of the ones that you can look at this week
that you're kind of plugging in and playing, because that's
kind of really what you're gonna have to do. You know,
at this point season one thing right now. If you're
(01:12:06):
you know your lineups are set and you're in a
good spot as you get ready to head into the
playoffs and you know, for example, you're gonna have a bye.
Let's say you're in that situation. Look at who the
defenses are playing week sixteen. That can be a little
thing that helps you win. So you can pull defenses
for week sixteen and week seventeen your fantasy that would
be your semi final and finals, and try to get
the best matchups for those weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:12:27):

It's good for.
Speaker 3 (01:14:02):
It holds up.
Speaker 2 (01:14:03):
It'll hold up for a long time. And if you
want it, yeah oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it'll know it.
It'll hold for a long time. Eventually. The only thing
that will happen if you wait a long long time
is the apples and stuff start to really break down,
but the flavor is still delicious. I don't it. Just
what's really cool about it is and I'll give it
for you next Wednesday, next first Friday when we do
(01:14:23):
the show. But what's really cool about it is it
it changes, It continues to evolve, and it becomes sweeter
as it goes, obviously because you have those and the
apple becomes more pronounced.
Speaker 3 (01:14:36):
So the cinnamon too. Also, if the longer it sits
in there can get.
Speaker 2 (01:14:41):
You and I You, you and I. We've taken this.
We'd go down a little on the cinnamon. So if
you like more heat, more cinnamon, stay with the two
cinnamon sticks, go to one those type of things. But
I like more vanilla, so that's where I usually go.
Speaker 6 (01:14:53):
Yeah, our head of it was asking me for the recipe.
I said, give me better enter coming.
Speaker 2 (01:15:00):
Yeah, it's coming next week. We'll give it. We'll have
it on one say that's what I told him.
Speaker 7 (01:15:04):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (01:15:05):
I want to shout out the Ohio resident. I love
your question. However, I can't ask that question why uh,
because it would be maybe crossing the line on your behalf.
So we'll move on, all right. Who asked it, Ohio fan,
(01:15:26):
I loved it. Uh, deplorable Squealers, Pukes and Cardinals BG
issue gives the lost ability to call us off a
Cleveland fan. The Burners are done now in forever, We're
fully behind the grad z.
Speaker 3 (01:15:36):
Yes, I love it.
Speaker 2 (01:15:38):
Welcome come on in the waters warm.
Speaker 6 (01:15:40):
Yep, that's fine. You sent me like three straight tweets.
Moving on, Uh, Club Sandwich guy. Hypothetical for.
Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
That would be that would be the first one to
be a really good one. Did you read What's spectacular?
Speaker 7 (01:15:59):
Did? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:16:01):
Yes, it was. I was there. I know you were.
You were Yep, then you weren't. Hypothetical for Boe and
the Boys late night cage match R Baker and Reser
versus Gibbet and the man? Which team slings the belt
over their shoulder and what point does Nathan run out
of the tunnel to chair slim Gibbet?
Speaker 2 (01:16:22):
Well, I mean this would the this would be such
an impossible Matt. Now Baker can go like Bake can go, dude,
and he can will not be smirch mit Baker at all.
Speaker 6 (01:16:34):
I love Bak.
Speaker 2 (01:16:35):
Yeah, but the there would be a size discrepancy from Reese.
That would be dramatic, dramatic, So you would have to
come in on their side.
Speaker 6 (01:16:44):
That would be going against the g Man.
Speaker 2 (01:16:46):
Yes, you'd have to come against g Man and Gibbe
in order for there to be a puncher's chance. I
think Bay could hang with any But I think I
think you just size wise recent have trouble my Warning
show versus my afternoon show. Oh I'm like, yeah, okay, yeah,
So you want me to be on your guys' side,
(01:17:07):
I think, well, I'm on both sides. But I would
say in order for this to be like if this
were to play out W W E style.
Speaker 3 (01:17:13):
You'd have to be with them, and I'd have to
be a no.
Speaker 2 (01:17:15):
I would be in the in the role of like
Gorilla Monsoon, and you would be coming in to help
my morning show against Gibbet.
Speaker 3 (01:17:24):
But that's the only chance that they would have. It
would be like who am I?
Speaker 1 (01:17:27):
Who am I?
Speaker 3 (01:17:28):
Who am I? Actually coming out to help But it
wouldn't even matter.
Speaker 4 (01:17:30):
You like one of those oh okay of Montana Quarterly
in the swag Look at the suede boots.
Speaker 3 (01:17:38):
I mean, I mean, are you kidding me?
Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
The technical term on that is a chore coat. I
like shack, it is what I call it. I think
that's a chorecoat. Is what that looks like to me.
I try to see if that's a canvas.
Speaker 3 (01:17:49):
No, it's not, it's not a canvas. Oh what sorry?
Speaker 2 (01:17:53):
Sorry?
Speaker 3 (01:17:54):
Ooh careful what time is it? What time is it?
Speaker 6 (01:17:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:17:57):
Exactly, Yeah, that might be an upgraded chort is what
I think that might be what he's got going on there.
Speaker 3 (01:18:04):
You look, that's a catalog looks catalog? Yeah yeah, if
you check out the Return of Landman lesson, No I didn't. Okay,
you'll get you'll get into it and you'll enjoy it.
Speaker 2 (01:18:15):
So anyway, so the way that this would play out
is are they are there wrestling run ins where the
guy running in isn't so much trying to help the
people that are in there more so as he's trying
to take out the enemy. Okay, So that's how this
would play out, like you would. It would be irrelevant
that you're helping them. It would just be you going
right at him as he's ready to hit one of
(01:18:35):
them with a chair, and I would take that chair
and then I and then you'd look at g Man
and go Then what it'd be like, Well, if the
ref sees it, then he's gonna immediately ring the bell
and award Gibbet and g Man the victory because I
would have interfered seemingly on the other team's behalf right.
Speaker 3 (01:18:55):
So they do that sometimes, So maybe that's how I
do it. We're getting you the victory.
Speaker 6 (01:18:58):
Get hit with a chair.
Speaker 3 (01:19:00):
That's all you gotta do. You just gotta get hit
with the chair. Listen, I took the old l Kabam gibbe.
I was at a neck break.
Speaker 6 (01:19:07):
Rumor has it we're six months away from it happening again.
Speaker 3 (01:19:09):
I know my mom's not happy with me, but I
think sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
Speaker 7 (01:19:18):
I like this.
Speaker 6 (01:19:19):
That doesn't mean that's not a no. I'm not coming back.
Speaker 2 (01:19:22):
No, it's not wow here first, Uh, what'd you say?
Kevin said, Oz, what do you?
Speaker 8 (01:19:30):
What are you putting yourself through there?
Speaker 6 (01:19:32):
Dude?
Speaker 3 (01:19:33):
The pursuit of glory never ends true. He's got the chair,
He's ready to go.
Speaker 2 (01:19:38):
He's got it. He's got it.
Speaker 6 (01:19:40):
Literally, it's a w W E ring side the old
l kabam Uh Robert Uh whipped cream or ice cream?
Which is better with please?
Speaker 2 (01:19:52):
It's ice cream?
Speaker 3 (01:19:53):
Cream grown up.
Speaker 2 (01:19:54):
I don't even I'm gonna be honest with you. I
don't find any scenario unless the dessert it is made
with it on it. Like there, there's like a sheet
dessert my mom makes with what that my mom used
to make that my wife now makes with like a
chocolate pudding in layers and it's it's really good with
that has cool whip on top. But any scenario with
(01:20:15):
a pie and it's whipped cream versus ice cream stop.
Speaker 3 (01:20:20):
One hundred percent. That's why it's called a la mode.
Speaker 4 (01:20:23):
Well said Easy. Yeah, the boyfriend of young Ard Andrea
would be something. If it was the guy from n
w A before he passed, that would be tough for
him to have come over and made me made assert
But Easy is such a fine young man. When he's
over for dinner over the weekend when my boys were
in town, and uh, he makes he's he'll bring desserts.
(01:20:47):
This time he made his ort. He made everything in
the maid dessert. Yeah, this guy's a renaissance man. This
guy's unboilvable.
Speaker 2 (01:20:54):
Job making desserts is a high school.
Speaker 4 (01:20:56):
He made it's like a like a and he made
it all from scratch, all right, like a gram cracker crust.
Then he had this layer of almost like a toffee.
There's a layer of like toffee basically, and above that
was bananas like that he had.
Speaker 2 (01:21:14):
I'm so in.
Speaker 4 (01:21:15):
Then he makes this and the toffee is like smooth
like a paste almost. And then he made he whipped
his own cream, whipped cream on top of the bananas
in the refrigerator, so it's cold. Sure it was, dude,
it might have been the best dessert I've ever had.
Speaker 2 (01:21:33):
I mean, that's something.
Speaker 6 (01:21:35):
What's going to happen when they go to separate schools
next year?
Speaker 2 (01:21:38):
We'll worry about those.
Speaker 3 (01:21:39):
Don't worry about you live in negative town all the time.
Speaker 2 (01:21:41):
Until Hudsonville gets their act together, right, that's where we're at.
They'll thrive. It's young love, young love, giveing. Sure, let
them live, Let them live.
Speaker 6 (01:21:51):
Why I said it? Uh, Bobby time, Bobby, Bobby. If
you could be any kind of animal, what would you be?
Speaker 2 (01:22:03):
This is a bootsy question, like this is a classic.
This is I get this once a month.
Speaker 3 (01:22:09):
I'll be honest with you.
Speaker 4 (01:22:10):
So my initial answer was going to be to be
a dolphin, because dolphins are awesome and they're pretty highly intelligent.
Speaker 3 (01:22:19):
They yeahs seems like they're having their best time. Homie. Yeah,
they got homies. They're having a great time.
Speaker 4 (01:22:24):
Yeah, But I do feel like around there could be
still something that might come for you as a dolphin.
Speaker 3 (01:22:30):
So a killer whale really is a dolphin.
Speaker 6 (01:22:32):
It's just.
Speaker 2 (01:22:35):
Baper and batter, Yeah, Apex.
Speaker 3 (01:22:37):
I think i'd be a killer whale.
Speaker 2 (01:22:38):
Yeah, the only thing. So I've thought about this a lot,
because again Bootsy asked me this type of question a lot.
I think it'd be pretty cool to be an eagle.
Speaker 3 (01:22:48):
I didn't know a bird if we were gonna go
not crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:22:50):
About them a bird, I mean, you know I feel
about it. I mean, I think they're they're really cool.
Like when you see one. I don't have any problem,
no beef with them. They don't come at you. They
seem to be pretty smart, great reputation, symbol of the nation,
Apex predator, Yeah, no real issues. Yeah, seems like they
had a pretty good situation. Be fun to fly around
(01:23:12):
all day.
Speaker 4 (01:23:13):
I've seen kangaroos that have been trained to box, and
also kangaroos have been trained to like hit a golf ball,
So maybe kangaroo.
Speaker 6 (01:23:18):
Would be fun.
Speaker 2 (01:23:19):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (01:23:19):
I mean wouldn't be something mad Hardy wants boxed a
kangaro and he made them smoking Joe.
Speaker 2 (01:23:23):
I remember Smoking Joe. Are they just around like in Australia. Yeah,
like they're just around on the just around. There's Wallabies
as well. Yeah, I like those guys.
Speaker 3 (01:23:31):
Yeah, Dabo's coming. Dabo's coming for the Titans game.
Speaker 6 (01:23:34):
Oh really? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:23:35):
Oh that's awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
Bring him in so I'm here Friday.
Speaker 3 (01:23:39):
Bring him in celebrity pictures on Saturday.
Speaker 2 (01:23:41):
M Oh, dang it.
Speaker 3 (01:23:45):
Yeah, I think he's in.
Speaker 6 (01:23:46):
He's in New York Friday, so he usually has a
hell of a road trip.
Speaker 3 (01:23:51):
Yeah, he's coming in. He's doing Boston.
Speaker 6 (01:23:53):
That's first.
Speaker 4 (01:23:54):
He's never been to Boston. And he's gonna go to
the Patriots. Patriots play somebody on Monday night, okay, and
then he's going to New York and he's gonna knixt
game of the Garden Garden, and then he's gonna come
here and he's gonna come to see the Titans.
Speaker 6 (01:24:08):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (01:24:09):
That's cool, very comit.
Speaker 6 (01:24:11):
Oh what celebrity do you think you look like?
Speaker 2 (01:24:15):
M Before I got old and fat, Like in high school,
I used to get a lot of Charlie sheen as
in high school a long time and fat and facial
hair and facial hair and the rest of it.
Speaker 3 (01:24:28):
You're not old nor fat.
Speaker 2 (01:24:29):
Well, but I mean, in my tradition conditions, I used
to get that a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:24:33):
That's a pretty good one.
Speaker 7 (01:24:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:24:34):
I don't know, but that's that's what I would get
a lot. When I was a kid.
Speaker 4 (01:24:36):
I used to get sometimes the guy who was in
that like cash cab that would ask the questions and
the cash cab, cash cab.
Speaker 2 (01:24:47):
Can I google that? Yeah, for a second, I thought
was like, no, it's not taxicab to stay away from
the bush.
Speaker 6 (01:24:53):
I love the cash cab.
Speaker 2 (01:24:55):
Oh yeah, yeah, that guy he's doing all right. Yeah,
I don't think you're better looking. Yeah, thank you. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:25:05):
Uh who do you get, gibbet?
Speaker 6 (01:25:06):
Huh?
Speaker 2 (01:25:07):
Who do you get?
Speaker 6 (01:25:11):
Uh?
Speaker 15 (01:25:12):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:25:13):
I don't think anybody. I mean, I know that you've
been recognized by you know, people thought you were a
famous sports writer here in town.
Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
Yeah, that's Detroit. They're struggling there.
Speaker 6 (01:25:30):
Enough from the clown. Uh give we know it's a
work trip, so you can't indulge. But where do you
guys like to go for shenanigans in Vegas. You might
find me in Old Vegas. That's on brand.
Speaker 2 (01:25:44):
There's a great uh, there's a great old school restaurant
in Old Vegas that I remember going two years ago.
I have not been to Las Vegas since Amy's youngest
sister turned twenty one. That was like fourteen years ago.
I would say something like that, Okay, I have not
been since. And when I was out West, I would
(01:26:06):
go every year, sometimes twice a year.
Speaker 3 (01:26:09):
I've had some great times to make it.
Speaker 2 (01:26:10):
Yeah, it's awesome, it's great. But I even then it
was unrecognizable for the way that it was like when
I went all the time. So I can't even imagine
what fourteen more years did to it.
Speaker 3 (01:26:18):
I still like Caesar's.
Speaker 2 (01:26:20):
Caesar's is just Vegas to me, Like, yeah, yeah, there's
cool vibe.
Speaker 6 (01:26:24):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:26:26):
I like.
Speaker 6 (01:26:27):
There's a little Italian joint called I think it's Batistas,
and it's it's behind the strip. It's literally right behind
the strip. It's been around since like the early seventies.
I believe I think it's closed right now for a modeling.
Because I looked into it, I was like, I don't
think I could get close to it because of the race.
This weekend. But yeah, there's been a lot of famous
(01:26:49):
people that have walked through there and had a late
night pasta. They're open till like two in the morning.
Speaker 2 (01:26:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:26:53):
Yeah, but it's like family style.
Speaker 2 (01:26:55):
Yeah, that's cool. So it's a cool it's a great sound.
Speaker 6 (01:26:59):
There's plenty of things I can get into.
Speaker 2 (01:27:01):
Yeah, it's a good town.
Speaker 6 (01:27:03):
Uh, college football mate from Joe, what would be adjusted
score be this weekend? If you went in at QB
one for Julian Sane.
Speaker 2 (01:27:15):
So it's Buckeyes by thirty three and a half.
Speaker 3 (01:27:18):
And who are we playing Rutgers? And who will I
have Smith and Tate?
Speaker 2 (01:27:22):
I think for the sake of this, you can have
them both.
Speaker 4 (01:27:24):
I can have them both. Yeah, I think we would
be it was it's thirty three. Yeah, I still think
we would be sixteen point favorites.
Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
I was gonna say seven and a half, like right now,
two days like no prep, nothing like two days like
if you had a month to prep.
Speaker 3 (01:27:41):
First. Is Rutgers going to score?
Speaker 4 (01:27:45):
Not particularly, I'm pretty sure touchdown it'd be a late
fourth core I think I think twenty one is the number.
Speaker 5 (01:27:52):
Could be backdoor touchdown like Division Division one athletes.
Speaker 2 (01:27:57):
I could still be First of all, I'd handed off
a lot. We'll we just find there and then that's
a good point out of you. That's college football. Ain't
knowing his stuff. Rutgers is one of the worst rush
defenses in college football. Yeah, all you can do is.
Speaker 4 (01:28:07):
Throw a couple of red zone face and then we're
gonna get a couple four Yeah, a couple of couple
of and then you're good. Suck the linebackers in right
over the layered, right over the top of Ye I'm
pretty sure I'm not gonna get hit much like we're
significantly better everywhere.
Speaker 2 (01:28:21):
Yeah, well you'd get I mean you can, Yeah, you'd
probably get hit. I think the big the big thing
would be the in the gym. You got to be
able to Uh yeah, I think your run game plan
is the right plan.
Speaker 3 (01:28:31):
We're gonna run it a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:28:32):
Let's run it and then throw some throw some fades.
Speaker 6 (01:28:35):
Uh shock, that'll wrap up the mail bag.
Speaker 2 (01:28:38):
Rogers gets the ball out quick.
Speaker 6 (01:28:39):
Oh baby, trade David. I will take your question tomorrow
because we don't have time for it, but I promise
you we will talk about it because it's a food question,
all right, But tray carry Uh Finally, tried the cocktail
Gibbey Ahead and Philly with peach Snobs, sprite Jamison and
sour mix it. It's delicious and Nathan's crazy for an outline.
Speaker 3 (01:28:59):
It's disgusting.
Speaker 2 (01:29:00):
That is so much sweet. Oh, it's so much sweet.
It's like, are you like a lollipop?
Speaker 3 (01:29:05):

Stroud's this is three games now, right.
Speaker 2 (01:29:54):
I was told that Earl Campbell is playing tonight, and.
Speaker 6 (01:29:58):

so I.
Speaker 2 (01:30:01):
Feel like Houston's gonna win this by one hundred and
seventy thousand.
Speaker 3 (01:30:04):
Can't be stopped. Woody Marks.
Speaker 4 (01:30:05):
Can't trade him in a dynasty league to Dizzio or
in a keeper league. Dizzio's out of it this year.
Speaker 3 (01:30:11):
And so I gave him.
Speaker 4 (01:30:12):
We got I give him Woody Marks in the fifteenth round,
which could be a really good keeper. Yeah, and Harold
Fannin in the twenty first round for the services of
b Jeon Robinson for the rest of the year. Oh baby, Yeah,
who's not keeper eligible or anything. No, just a rental
to rent a couple of bites at the Apple.
Speaker 7 (01:30:29):
I like it.
Speaker 2 (01:30:30):
He's like a fair trade.
Speaker 7 (01:30:31):
I like it.
Speaker 4 (01:30:32):
Soon hates it. Who does Vince? And I'm playing Vince
this week that he does. He was trying to get
he was trying to get him. But my deal is
a better deal.
Speaker 2 (01:30:41):
So what do you want? Sorry, so you don't have
a trade that he's running good business?
Speaker 8 (01:30:44):
