Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up, guys.
Speaker 2 (00:00):
My name is Victor Cruz and welcome back to the
Players Lounge, presented to you by Joe Malone.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
I am here with someone that needs.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
No introduction, a guy that chases quarterbacks for a living.
I'm a little scared. Thankfully I'm not a quarterback, because
he'd probably be tackling.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Me right now.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
But I'm good because I'm a former Giant and an
alumni and somebody he cares deeply about. And with that
being said, everyone please welcome. Brian Burns, my brother. How
you doing, Man, doing good?
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Man doing good?
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Okay, So out the gate, I want to talk to
you about the Spider Man celebration. Out the gate. I
want to go right there. Talk to me about it.
Where did it come from? Where did it arrives? It's fire,
first of all, and just give me the backstory.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
The backstory ain't really too much, too deep.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
You know, I was always a Spider Man fan back
in the day when I was a younger, but it
really came from college my junior year. You know, were
just messing around in practice. Is not doing too much
and nothing? You remember Vine of course? Okay boom, So
I've seen a clip of a dude in a spot
a man costume, and he hit this pose and it
was just dope. So we was in practice mess around
(01:04):
and I did it and everybody was like.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
What is he doing? So boom. The next that following
week we play wake for us.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
I got two sacks and then I think on my
last sack, I went ahead and just hit the poles
just out of just whatever, just like you know, I mean,
just gooping around. And they got a fire picture out
of it, okay, And basically it blew up from there.
And like I said, he always be my favorite superhero
when I was a kid, so it kind of just,
you know, fell into my lap.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
What's your favorite Spider Man movie? Which one is the
one that resonates the most the most?
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Yeah? I like three, Okay, I just like three.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
The way the switch up came with the with the
black and the venom and how they all tied that in.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
But that was probably my favorite. Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Now, you did another celebration a little while back when
you got a TfL.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
You did a little salsa that was for me. I appreciate.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
I appreciate that yours was a little bit better than mine.
I'm a little jealous. That you like that you dance
that well. But we'll take it.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Now.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
You are a proud Fort Florida delle Florida natives, right,
So does Florida, in your opinion, produce the best football players?
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah? For sure? And why what the name some?
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Because Jersey got a couple too, Now, so name some
and and tell me why.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
I was about to say the look in your face
like you disagree, but noah, man, we just we just stacked.
I mean you got guys like myself, Passer ten, Nick Bonito,
I mean, the list goes on, Nick Bosa, Joy both.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Okay, So give me your top five Florida athletes of
all time.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Give me that, give me that.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
That's tough, man, give me that South Florida. Yeah, all Florida, mean,
Miami included all of it. I'm gonna just do South Florida.
That's tough though. Ah, No pressure, this is just this
is actually a lot of pressure because I don't want
to see this. I I don't want say the wrong name.
(02:56):
I pleaded, I plead the fifth. I don't want to
do it.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Okay, Okay, so just give me a list of your
top ten guys. Just give me the I can just
drop some people. So like just like right now, the
talent out right now is just unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Like Passer Team, Nick Benito, Nick Boster, Joey Bosa, we
got got motor from down there. We got just a
ton of got Jerry Judy, There's a ton of guys.
It's just from that area. And you know, it's really
competitive down there. So like like we grew up. I
started playing when I was like five. We grew up
just like you just get into football, Like football is
(03:29):
just bread down in South Florida, and you know, with
that type of competition, like you have no choice but
to you know, rise to the occasion. So I feel
like that's why there's so much talent coming out of there.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
So talk to me about five year old Brian Brons
That's what I want to get. Who was his favorite
players when he was watching football, when he was on
the couch watching the game on Sunday afternoons.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Who were some of his favorite players to watch on
TV around that time? It was Jason Taylor.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
Jason Taylor was one of my top Julius Peppers, you know,
And I kind of got lead and to the defensive
in position because my big brother, my big brother played
for Carolina, so that kind of led me into that,
to the love of chasing quarterbacks.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
And those are the guys that I.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Watched, Von Miller, Jason Taylor, Julius Peppers, JJ Watt, any
of the top dudes or the top dogs around that time.
That was a guy. Those are guys I was watching nice.
Awden Smith was another one. Alden Smith was a guy.
Shout to Awen Smith. What other sport did you play?
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Was five year old or six seven, ten year old
Brian Burns playing any other sports?
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Yeah, I was getting in basketball a little bit, but
that was never my love. That was my pops. My
pops loved basketball. He went to Kansas, he was a Hooper,
but that was never for me. I just kind of
did it just to have fun, stay in shape, play
at my homies. But other than that, football was always okay, okay,
that's what's up.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Now.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
You went to American Heritage, the Brower campus. My daughter
goes to American Heritage and Delray Beach, so.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
I thought that was dope.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Tell me what it was like playing for Patrick's Curtain's
senior at your high school and why you chose Florida
State coming out.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Okay, it was dope that that coaching staff actually had
a ton of uh you know, retired NFL players.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
You had Arondez Gast and you had Pat, you had
Mike Brow. Uh.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
It was it was a collective group of guys that
was that was on that that coaching staff. And at
the time my senior year, Pat was the secondary's coach. Oh,
Drrel Porter is also another name that was on there,
but he was a secondary coach. But you know, just
having that type of mentorship and guys that have been there,
done did it, you know, it was it was essential
as far as our growth, as far as us being players,
(05:34):
you know, just coming up. And the reason I went
to Florida State. I don't do well in the code.
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
I rather not Wait, so, how so how's it going now?
So you got your layers on, You got a little jacket.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Looks good. You look good with a layer on.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
So like some things make it a little bit better
if you know what, if you know what I'm saying exactly.
But when I choose the schools, man, I was every
everywhere I looked or everywhere I was planning on going,
was all in the South. It was Georgia, Florida, Florida state.
That was kind of like my top and it was
just staying close to home. I want to stay close
to my family and I just prefer to heat.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Yeah, you know what I mean. Talk to me about
Draft Day. What was that day? Like, what's your biggest
memory from Draft Day? What did it feel like getting
prepared for that day and how it was gonna change
your life and change your family's life.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Draft Day was crazy, you know.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
It was a lot of emotions, you know, just the
unknowing of not knowing where you're gonna go and like
where you're gonna fall and things of that nature. You know,
you start hearing a lot of a lot of this,
a lot of that, you know. I kind of just
in the beginning of the day, I kind of opened
my day up with just like praise gospel. I listen
to gospel music most mornings when I got something big
(06:42):
going on, and I kind of just.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Ease and cleared my mind, you know. And I had
my family with me, my mom at my.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Backbone, you know, so she you know, she was always
there like just to ease my mind if I ever
needed it. But Draft Day was something but when we
got into the green room and you know, everybody was
getting pulled off the board, it's a little it's a
little it's a bit of an anti feeling, like you
just don't don't know what's gonna happen. And the weird
thing is that so my brother was in me obviously,
(07:09):
but the weird thing is that he was planning on
wearing like a neutral color suit for the draft.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Right.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Something at last minute told him to put on Carolina colors,
right okay, And it didn't It didn't like it didn't
dawn on me then, like my brother's dressed in Carolina
blue and everything of that nature, and then I just
so happened to get drafted by them. It was kind
of an eerie moment. I was like, like, damn, that
was strange, Like you knew something that I ain't.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Okay, did he feel like he was doing it on purpose?
So he felt something or he was just it just naturally.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
Now he was in there, he was in there to
get the regular suit and I don't know if he's
seeing a color or something popped it and told him
to pick this, but that's what he did. He was like,
you know what, I'm from the rock that and he
rocked it in and that's where I end up going.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
So fashion guys plays the part. Sometimes it tells a story,
you know what I'm saying. So you were traded here
in twenty twenty for talk to me about the biggest
difference besides the cold from Florida to New York.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Everything is different, the people different in what way. We're
a lot nicer here, right.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
That's not me at all, and people not nice in
Florida either, but it's a different type of it's a
different type of nice. Yeah, it's a different it's a
different vibe. But obviously the weather. I was raised around
the beach and things of that nature. The culture is
just different. Like it's like, how do I put y'all?
(08:31):
Are y'all aggressive?
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Right? Okay, maybe maybe I should say yo, when you
said that, I felt attacked a little bit.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
My bad. I'm gonna take it back. I'm gonna say that,
just say it differently. I think that y'all aggressive, right,
You feel me the same way? Y'all aggressive?
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Right?
Speaker 3 (08:45):
So it's like, but y'all don't mean to come off
any kind of way. So it's kind of I just
got used to like the way y'all talk. It ain't
how I talk down down South, because it's a little
different down there.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Correct, So that's the major things is the weather and
just the people. Like the people difference.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
You're actually right, I'm obviously new to South Florida, right,
I'm starting to get the vises.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
First of all, it's hot.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
I'm also realizing in the summer is one season it's
really hot. But I will say that the vibe the
people are a lot nicer, a lot more soft spoken,
and it's definitely different energy when you're going, especially to
restaurants or to eat, and when you're here, you just
feel that difference, that that contrast from back and forth.
(09:26):
Now being in New York, what was your what's been
like your welcome to New York moment? I know you
made some pizza recently at Joe's and which is a
classic pizza spot. So what's been like your favorite New
York moment so far? So far, it is just like
trying to unpack New York.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
You know, I don't feel like I'd ever be able
to pack it fully, just because it's so much going
on and so much to do in the city. But
just trying new things like I don't. Went to a
couple of Broadway plays.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Okay, what did you see?
Speaker 3 (09:54):
The first player I went to was a lion king.
Then I seen Moulin Moulin Rouge.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Yeah, that's right, right, all right right? And then recently
I just seen the great gasby Are you're going to
see them all? Because I enjoyed it.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
I was great, gaspy. I've been wanting to check that one. Now,
is is it worth going?
Speaker 3 (10:12):
It's long, but it's tough, like I don't know the
lady's name, but she did an outstanding job. Whoever was
the main character, the main character as the female role,
she did an amazing job that her boy is beautiful.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Didn't have an intermission. It was long.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
It had like fifty minutes. It's a little too long
for me. I go to sleep, call to sleep, and
then give me the biggest fast. I want to talk
fashion a little bit. Are we gonna we're gonna switch
it up a little bit. Give me the biggest differences
in fashion? Or what do you think is the better
fashion area Florida or New York? What do you like
better Florida fashion or New York fashion? And insercorrectly correctly, Yeah,
(10:49):
it's only I expect you to say that.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
I was gonna say, honestly, but no, if I if I,
if I really had to say it, I think New
York does that better, honestly, and why just be But
I dig with the with the teams and the overside
street where I like that type of stuff. And you know,
in Florida you can't really wear everything. You kind of
you kind of you're subjected to a certain type of clothing,
(11:12):
you know what I'm saying, otherwise you might pass out.
So with that being said, like I do enjoy like
New York fashion, and then like because y'all get all
the seasons.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
You feel me, you can you know, switch it up
throughout the throughout the year.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
So that's one thing I'm a miss living in Florida now.
Is not throwing them tims on.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Yeah you can't. I can't do the tims. Don't do
the who's the best stress on the team? Brian Burns
mm hmm m hmm. It's not Tips going out the gate.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Yeah, I'm must go uhah, let's just just take him
out of there. That's my brother. I love you, brother,
but it's not Tips. I feel like flop be dressing
Malik dressed a little too young for me? Uh, if
I do say so myself, I am. I am pretty
clean of the mix.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Listen, I pay attention now, and I don't I don't
necessarily disagree with you. I think you're definitely You're definitely
in the mix. You definitely come clean. You understand fabrics,
you understand fit. I think a lot of guys don't
understand how clothes are supposed to fit. That that's supposed
to be where you start. I'm going to continue on now,
do you have any.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Fit? Is a real thing? Right, Let's let's run that
back real quick. What do you want to talk about?
You're getting hot in here? Hold on, yeah, hold on brother,
Oh yeah, he's warming up now.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
Guys, I'm just saying when you say, right, yeah, it's
just the way the clothes is supposed.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
To lay on you. Right, That's what I mean. Correct? Correct?
Speaker 2 (12:42):
You want to put a name to that. Ain't not
on this team. This ain't my team. I'm not playing
on this team.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
My team was a couple of years a couple of
years ago. Okay, so you know I can I can
pull them up on I g some photos, but I
got another question here somewhere.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
Okay. Uh any game day superstitions? Uh? Yeah, every every game, I.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Gotta read this this text from my mom. That's like
my only thing that I feel a little weird if
I don't if I don't get it. She sent me
a game day text every morning. So as long as
I read that, I kind of feel good.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
And that's so that's what's up. Shout out to mom.
Keep him coming because he's if he's playing like this
with that, you can't miss one.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Okay, I'm gonna say a teammate and you say the
first word that comes to mind. Okay for sure? Abdu
A Carter annoying? Why is he annoying?
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Man? You know how it is with Ricky. You know
when you when you're the vent in the room, it's
a little bro. But he's just annoying, annoying.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Okay, Next, Dex the Lawrence big Uh Tips came on
Talk Okay, Jackson Dark Swag and camp Scott was crazy.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
I knew he was. Next, just crazy cycle. Okay, what
are you listening to right now? Man? What's your current music? Trusting?
I know you say you like gospel?
Speaker 2 (14:09):
Is that like, if you're coming into work in the morning,
you get in the car, you're on your way. You're
on your way to put the to get into the grind.
What are you listening to?
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Lately, I've been trying to be a little more intentional
about the things that I listened to and I consume
from a you know, I guess I want to say
outside perspective. So like, lately, I've been listening to a
lot of R and B just because the rap has
been been a little.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
Too much for me. So right now I'm listening to
a lot of smooth music. You ever heard of l me,
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
I put you on well mean el mean, okay, dope,
ol deal, dope, ohdeal, like you know for sure. And
then I listen to a lot of female artists as well.
One thing I've been trying to dive in a little
bit deeper is this jazz. I'm trying to get into.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Jazz is a VI.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
I usually do a little bit of jazz when I'm
playing golf, Yeah, because I can't.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Do the rap.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
It's too heavy, it's too I need to be calm, chill.
I either do jazz on the golf course or I
do like seventies soul. I need like Marvin Gay, I'm
in that pocket, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
So it's both feel good music. It's just good for
the soul. It is like in the morning.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
So like early you don't want to I like to
listen to like early early on or what if I'm
doing something that I don't really want to have my
mind wrapped around the lyrics or wrapped around whatever.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
They talking about.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
I like to listen to lo Fi because you don't
really have to. You don't really have to pay attention
to music, you know what I'm saying. I just want
to be in a vibe where there's something playing, you
know what I mean. So when I'm studying film or
if I'm just just chilling, like I just rather have
something in the background.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
I put that on.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Who controls the music in the locker room? Like who's
and what's the vibe in there? Is that heavy?
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Is it? I know? I know they know Lofi playing
in the locker room. It depends, okay, So most of
the time it's meat or is moose okay? And we
both have similar similar tastes. Like he surprised me a lot.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
From the song selections he was playing really yeah for real,
But it's mainly like before practice, early in the day.
It's mainly like throwbacks. So you might hear a little.
You might hear Kim, you might hear t Pain. You
just might hear a lot of just throwback classics. You'll
hear that Neo, you hear stuff like that. And then
when we get closer to practice, you.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
May hear more. It may transition more into the rap.
Turn it up a little bit, get everybody ready, and
if Leak takeover, then it's NBA young and young boy
already know. Yeah, so that's right before we go out.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
I love that the throwback music is all the music
I was listening to when I was a current player,
So that's that was just amazing. Speaking of throwback, give
me your favorite TV or TV shows, like of all time,
that's the one, don't even matter.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
You want a couple of you, a couple of them Martin,
The Bernie Max Show, My Wife and Kids, uh Fresh
Princes obviously up there. And if you want to stray
all to straight away from the sitcoms, the funny sitcoms,
you want to go a little deeper shows I used
to watch, well, I still kind of watch now.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
I watched Snowfall Fire, Snowfalls Gas. I heard I heard
about this. You ever watched The Sopranos?
Speaker 2 (17:26):
I mean, do you know where I'm from? Of course
I watched The Sopranos.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Yes, So is that something I need to watch?
Speaker 2 (17:31):
Yes, it's one of the greatest shows of no stay
focused here. It's one of the best shows of all time.
It's up there with the Wire, It's up there with
Succession is a is a newer one, but it's it's
in that lineage of like, you need to watch these
and you can watch them over and over again, and
every time you watch you're gonna get something new. You're
gonna be like, oh, I didn't see that the first time.
(17:52):
I didn't catch that the first time. And that's that's
one of the ones you need. You need to tap in.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
I'm gonna tap it inna get back to tap in
on that. Okay, favorite movies all time? Man, Oh boy,
you're right, you're asking the right question. Life Life for
sure to classic.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Oh, that's that's a banger Life Rush Hour to all
the rush hours, but specifically for me, Rush Hour.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Too, that's a good that's the best one of me.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
Uh I like New Jack City, Juice, Baby Boy. Man,
oh man, it's just too many, all the classes. It's
too many, all the classes. You know said, money talks,
all money talks, Victim all up, all about the Benjamins, everything,
And I'm deep into my movie band.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
That's what's up.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Okay man, you are having an absolutely monster twenty twenty
five season. What do you what do you attribute the
motivation to? Like, what has been your biggest motivation this year?
Just going out there and putting your best foot forward
and getting these ranking up, racking up these TFLs in
these sacks.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
Uh, My motivation has always been the same, you know,
and it's it really stems from proving my self right
a lot of the times. You know, I obviously do
this with my family. I obviously take care of my
family and that's important to me. But where it mainly
comes from is proving myself right. Because I've always been
told a lot coming through, coming up through my my
(19:13):
career is just like you, two small things of that nature.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
And you know, that's that's kind.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Of where where my chip lies is just proving myself right,
proven that I am who I say I am. But
as far as this year, you know, I just had
to look in the mirror and realize that there were
things that I was doing within my process that I
wasn't Uh, it didn't align with me.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
And I just I'm a.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
Solid believer and if you want something different, you gotta
do something different. And my brother, my big brother, I
spoke about him earlier, but my big brother been holding
me accountable of that, and that's kind of been keeping
me on this arrow. And like the support, the support
that I got around me right now from my big brother,
my my position coach, and you know, TIBs and that duel.
(19:59):
Those three things have been pushing me and trying to
just be better, like about my processing, about how it
looks how I play on the field.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
So talk to me about your brother a little bit.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
I know obviously watching him from Afar, him getting drafted
in two thousand and six, and you watching him and
watching his journey and his process. How much did that
help you kind of coming through the ranks when you
were getting drafted, Like his advice, his tutelage, Like how
much does that resonate with you even now then and
even now to this day that attributes to what you
(20:28):
do day in and day out.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Always seeing it as him being somewhat of a blueprint,
you know, because like you just say, he did it before,
and like I just wanted to learn from any of
the mistakes that he made it in this past or
whatever the case may be, and he just like steered
me in the right direction. Me and my brother are
very different, and it's just from like he's a very
like emotional, passionate I should say passionate person like, like
(20:55):
he just he operates that way, like he's wild. I'm
more of the reserve kind of private guy. But like
as he was going through his his process and everything,
I watched it all, you know what I'm saying. So
as I went through mine, of course he gave me
nuggets here and there, but I was able to learn
from his mistakes and you know, correct, it just go
around incredible.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Talk to me a little bit about the Brian Burns
Family Charities and all the many outreach programs that you
guys are involved in.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
Yeah, so basically we're just trying to get out into
the community, help help as much as we can possible.
One of the major things that that we got going on,
and that uh, it's it's connected, is a hype for life.
And that has to do with autism. And that's like
my nephew has autism. That's my brother's son. And that's
something big that we've been We've been just pushing that
(21:40):
out there, pushing out like research and bringing awareness to
this autism thing because it has been big and it's
it's been affecting a lot of people, and people don't
know how hard it is. And I get to see firsthand,
like my brother go through it, of just the challenges
and and you know how tough it can be dealing
dealing with this situation.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
Yeah, I love that. Man. Keep keep that charity going.
I have my own charity as well.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
And to see how it affects these kids and how
it affects just the inner city and these parents and
everybody that is involved is always a beautiful thing. Now,
I want to switch gears a little bit, play a
little game. You're ready for a game right now?
Speaker 1 (22:15):
All right?
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Bet it's gonna it's just a quick game called which
is Better? And we're gonna go Florida or New York.
So I'm gonna say one thing. You tell me which
one is better? A Florida or New York. I'm skipping
the first question, because I know I already know whether
I already know what he's gonna say to that fashion.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
New York, New York, shopping, New York. They go hand
in hand. Food, New York food. Yeah, okay, music, it
depends there.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
I'm just asking. You told me New York. I just
I just had to ask to reconfirm, and you reconfirmed it.
I was going to the next question, all right, basically
music Florida. I'm gonna let that one go. Traffic Florida.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Are you sure? Oh? Better? Okay, I'm missing yea. Drivers Florida.
People drive crazy. I've seen the person get on the sidewalk.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
No, Brian, you know I just moved to Florida, right,
Did I tell you that the amount of accidents August first.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
I just moved it. I just told you somebody drove
on the sidewalk. I heard that.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
I just saw a car on its on the on
the roof, on the highway, on the roof, on the
roof this way the roof, yeah, by itself, no other
car around. How'd you get on? How'd you get on
the roof? That's just that person. I'm going to continue
night life Florida or New York, Florida. Okay, I'm not.
(23:43):
This next game is called football first, where you described
the first time you did the following at any level,
little league, high school, whenever you did it.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
First position you ever played center?
Speaker 2 (23:54):
I played center to know what I was doing.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
I liked you asked you for a reason though. First sack,
first sack. Yeah, first sack that I can remember that
you can remember? Is that many? Yeah? Okay, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
I definitely remember some saxon a little but I'm gonna
just say high school because that one was that one.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Was That was the one.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
Your first football jersey you've ever owned besides your own
Ronnie Brown.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
Okay, I like that one. That's a good one. First
college offer, Oh Clemson? Maybe? Then did they?
Speaker 2 (24:38):
There was like a letter you opened it up and
it was like that that vibe. I mean that was
I don't know what year. I mean when I was,
when I was a young wob snap. We had letters.
I don't know if you know letters that like we open.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
I don't know how. I don't even know how old
you are. Do you still get letters?
Speaker 2 (24:52):
There was a whole but you get a whole bunch
of letters. Okay, Yeah, but the offer comes in the letter,
right that the coming in letter or the kind of came.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Think you was the coach?
Speaker 3 (25:01):
Okay, because I got like three in the same day, gotcha.
I think they were the first ones though.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
That's a swag. That's that was a bit of a
MC drop. Okay.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Okay, first purchase after signing your NFL contract. First purchase.
I think I bought my truck. Okay, I think it
was a raptor at the time.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Okay, who got the best Okay, before I let you go,
who got the best car in the in the lot?
Speaker 1 (25:31):
Call the team? Just car, just car? Probably. I don't
know if Slave still got it, but probably Slay.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
You know, we had Slay on the show too, and
he loves cars, that's his name. He loved his own
car as well.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
He talked about the mclar Yes, he talked about the
McLaren probably, of course. Okay. Lastly, I want you to
finish these statements. Man.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
Uh, everyone that knows me knows I love dogs.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Oh how many you own? Yeah? How many? Right now? Three?
What kind of dogs? Two President scenarios and the cyber Husky.
Oh real, those are real dogs. My daughter wants to
go the retrievers so bad.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
That's a real dog too. That's a real dog, and
they're hairy. Get hair everywhere. Do you have a room,
but in your house you just get all.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
The the little picks up. Don't do that.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
I'm but a room that pains all the dirt like
you just turn it on and runs around the house.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
I'm not there yet. Okay, wait, I think I got
one of them.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
Yeah it's called the room, but I don't know mine
called that.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
I think no mind.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
Call Okay, we'll talk after about the dogs, because they're
trying to convince me and it ain't working.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
The best advice you've ever gotten is the best advice
I ever gotten. I feel like I'm not gonna hit
this should but hm hmm ain't.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
The only thing that's coming to mind right now, honestly
is be with your feet off.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
And I feel like that.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
I feel the only reason I feel like that is
why I'm sitting at the top of my mind is
just because how I've been trying to move now is
real intentional, and like, no matter what's going on, I'm
only focused on what I can control in that very moment.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
So I'll probably just say be with your feed off.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
Brian Burns has been an exceptional interview man. Good luck
to you the rest of the way. I'll be watching
of course, and thank you for joining me on the
players line. Appreciate you.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
That was fire.
