Speaker 1 (00:05):
The NFL never sleeps. The roster is ever evolving, and
it's all about finding the edge. This is the last Word,
the off season home of the Indianapolis Colts.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Happy Friday nights in the summertime. Glad you're with us,
Thanks for joining in. We are the last Word, the
off season radio home of the Colts. Every Friday night,
Matt Taylor here with Casey Valier ninety three five, one
oh seven five the fan inside the Indiana Union Construction
Industry Radio studio and right after the show Casey is
not going to be outside and joining the Friday night
(00:40):
or the fireflies or the humidity outdoors. You're going to
bed early? Which times your tea time?
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Here? You are not wrong? At four am, I've got
a team night golf a man six oh four tomorrow morning.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
I love golf.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
But I had to text my brother again and said,
you sure this is am right, not PM. I'll be
up at River Glenn, up off Allisonville, and I don't
know what the side right by.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Your prayer, You're gonna be the only one right.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
And I don't think there's gonna be any of us.
I mean I might have to they might have to
leave the keys out front, and I might have to
open the thing.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
I might not even be up by the time you're done.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
That's a valid point. I mean, I gotta I was
thinking about it, like what time I gotta set my alarm.
It's about four thirty, is what I It's the only
thing I can think of, and it's I used to
work in morning radio, and that's what time I used
to set my alarm for morning radio. And this is
a weekend round me.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
I'll go do stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
Oh this may be my best round of golf, but
it could may also well be my worst rounding.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
I'm not a golfer, certainly not a golfer when I
get up at four am. If I'm getting up at
four in the morning, you know it's significant, right, It's
like to catch a plane. Golf. I can assure you
it's not is not getting me up at four thirty
in the morning. Case, sye, I'm sorry, this one is.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
This is probably a one and done for me, A
six oh four. I'll tell you that.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Well, good luck tomorrow. Hit them straight. Case, I'm not
even sure your eyes are going to be opened that
early on in the morning.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
You see it, I didn't see anything, well.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
We are in summer break mode here with the Colts
between now and the end of July when the team
reports for work for training camp up at Graham Park
and Westfield. So we've been breaking down each position group
here in the Last Word. On prior episodes, we've talked
a lot about quarterbacks and running backs. We've talked about
wide receivers and tight ends. You can catch those shows
on demand on the Colts podcast channels. But tonight we're
(02:21):
taking a deep dive case into the trenches on both
sides of the ball. The guys that don't get a
lot of love that should get the love. Yeah, burning questions,
We're gonna do O line and D line, save D
line for segment number two, but all about the guys
upfront on offense. Here in segment number one, burning questions
along the offensive line case, we start with who's gonna
start at center? Who the heck's that gonna be? Is
(02:43):
gonna be Tanner Bordolini or Danny Piner. That's gonna be
one of the more hotter position battles once training camp starts.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
So the way that I kind of look at this,
I lean more towards Tanner BORDERLINI but I know that
we have seen good football out of Danny Pincher, and
that's one of the things that you look at it
and you say, it's gonna be a good competition because
I think whoever wins, you feel really really good about
the person that's gonna win. But then also, both of
those guys have the position flexibility to be a really
(03:10):
good depth piece interior on that offense.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
And play guard too.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
So it's a good problem to have at this point
of the year because I think you feel pretty comfortable
with either guy that wins this job.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Ultimately, Yeah, let's add some context there. This is Colts
offensive line coach Tony Sperano back in the spring workout
period talking about, Hey, there's gonna be a true competition
here between Tanner Bordolini and Danny Pender. What does it
all come down to.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
They have a little bit different skill sets.
Speaker 5 (03:34):
They both bring a little bit of something different maybe
to the table. But I think they're both very good players,
and they're both very capable players for us, and they
can do a lot of different things that we can realize.
Speaker 4 (03:44):
So I'm excited to watch that play out.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Tony Sperano right there, and to his point, both guys
started games last year. Regardless, the Colts are gonna have
really good depth at center and like you said, maybe
some guard depth too this upcoming season, regardless of who
wins that battle.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Yeah, it's one of those things where you know Bordolini,
it was when he was drafted, he was kind of
claimed to be the guy he's going to replace Ryan Kelly.
But if you also think back a handful of years ago,
Danny Pincher was kind of in that same mold of
when he was selected out of ball State that he
was the guy. So these guys have both been, you know,
targeted from this staff to be a borderline a starter
(04:23):
at some point. So I'm not shocked that we're going
to have this competition battle, and I really do think
you're gonna like what you see out of both these guys.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Yeah, the next burning question along the offensive line, it's
Matt Gonzalez case. Is he going to be able to
successfully make that switch going from tackle to guard this season?
And I've said this a lot this offseason. Last year,
Matt was a tackle. When Will Fries went down last
year in Week five, they didn't want to move him
to guard because he didn't train very much at guard
last season, but this year in the offseason, they move
(04:51):
him to guard exclusively. Get a ton of reps, master
the playbook, and that's just an effort to get your
top five overall offensive lineman on the field. At the
same time, I don't think he's going to have any
major issues playing in a high level of guard.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
No.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
I agree, and I think to that point, it's better
now than it was last year. I think the options
with Dalton Tucker taking reps and Mark Lewinsky being a guard,
those options made more sense because of what you alluded
to with him taking all those reps at tackle, and
now you kind of have a whole offseason where you
just dedicate your craft to the guard spot. I think
(05:25):
he's a lot better off now to make that transition
that he did last year.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
Burning questions along the offensive line leading into Colts training camp.
That's what we're doing here on segment number one, on
the last word ninety three to five and one oh
seven five the fan Casey Valier's over there, I'm Matt Taylor.
We're gonna break down the d line coming up on
segment number two, but staying on the offensive line, case
Braden Smith he's back missed the last five games of
the season last year dealing with a personal matter. I
(05:52):
should say all is great with him. He's being able
to kind of clear that up here in the offseason case.
We talked about this earlier this week. Braiden Smith in
store for a bounce back season at right tackle.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
And I think we would all agree when Braiden Smith
is playing at the level that we are used to
seeing Braiden Smith, he is a one of the best
right tackles in all of football. You know, he's thinking
about football in a different way and life and everything,
and I think he's he's taking those positive steps. I
have no reason to believe that Braiden Smith can't get
back to the Braiden Smith we have come to know
(06:25):
on that right side of the line. And all that's
going to do is help everybody else, because, as I mentioned,
Braiden Smith I think arguably one of the best right
tackles in football when he's playing at his level, I
won't be surprised if he can live right back up
to where he was previous year.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Yeah, I completely agreed. The next question is, and if
I just want to give you a one word answer,
maybe that'll suffice on this kind of teeing this up
to myself, which is not what you want to do
on radio. But is Quentin Nelson still the best right
guard in the NFL? Yes, there you go.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
There's a gun answer, one word answer.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Nothing to suggest that he's not, at least not a
top five guard in the NF right. I mean, you
talk about the Durabi. You are not named to seven
straight Pro Bowls to begin your career on accident.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
No, And it's one of those things too when you
hear the peers talk about it. He is still the
class at that position. He is the guy when you
say who's the best guard, you just point right to
Quinton Nelson. So I don't think he's lost a step
at all.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
How about this, Quentin Nelson has started fifty three consecutive
games and he's missed just twelve snaps in that stretch.
I mean, he's played ninety eight percent now of the
team's snaps offensively in his career.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Now, is one of those snaps the snap he had
to miss because he was in to tut remember that
that play where they gave him the football. He had
to come out for the next place, So that may
be one of those snaps that he missed, which ultimately
it wasn't.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
He just right, he pissed off that and you guys
are killing me here. Lastly, as we wrap it up, case,
what what's the depth along the offensive line? Because that
is something that's all tested. How many offensive linemen can
the Colts keep on the fifty three man roster and
how viable are all those guys.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
So I'm assuming it's probably right around, you know, anywhere
between eight and ten. I think nine is probably the
number that you're probably going to keep. And if you
look at the depth pieces outside of the projected starting five,
you've got some really good pieces there.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
It is.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
It is a pretty good you know, when it comes
to We've talked about it at the top of this
Chris Ballard loves to build in the trenches, and that
is very apparent because this group right now, I think
you're gonna have a couple guys cut that can play
some football in this league.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
You know, last year the Colts used eleven different offensive linemen.
They had three rookie o linemen start at least one game,
first time that had happened for the Colts since twenty sixteen.
So all those guys are coming back. You've got Wesley
French coming back, Blake Friedlan is coming back, Josh Sills
is coming back. So here's Tony Sporano on the importance
(09:00):
of having depth on the offensive line and those guys
upholding the standard no matter who's in the game, a
lot of.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
Those backups wind up having to start obviously that you know,
we dealt with a lot of different things in terms
of injuries and stuff like that last year, and we
had a lot of different guys today, And we played
eleven different guys last.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
Year in real snaps, meaningful games, whether they.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
Were starting or playing a lot of plays off the
bench for us in a game. And we take pride
and all those guys being ready to go when they're
numbers called.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
So for me, it's business as usual.
Speaker 5 (09:29):
It's you know, where the demands and the standard of
the group are never going to change, not as long
as I'm the line coach. They're gonna be what they've been,
which is that we want to have the best line
in this league. Expect no drop off when the next
man goes in there.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
That's Tony Sparano, the offensive line coach for the Colts,
and he's right. I mean, if you make the roster
on this offensive line, you got to be ready. You
have to prepare as if you're a starter, because a
you're just a play away. And again at that position,
chances are you're gonna get thrust into action and you're
gonna have to make, you know, either a spot start
or play you know, halfway through the second quarter, and
(10:04):
you have to uphold the standard of that offensive line.
You've got to protect for either Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones.
It's just a brutal truth to that job at a
brutal position, Casey. And that's why I think I agree
with you. The Colts do have a lot of good
depth pieces that can start and uphold the level of
play that Tony Sperrano has set for that unit.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
No, absolutely, and they've added to it. I mean, if
you think about some of those guys that have been
here for a couple of years, and then you add
you know a guy like Dalton Tucker who he saw
get some run last year, you got Jalen Travis, you
drafted this year. There's a handful of pieces. It's gonna
be interesting to see what this team does.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Colts single game tickets are on sale now. You can
head to Colts dot com slash tickets to nab them
up through Ticketmaster, the official marketplace of the Colts in
the NFL. And like we said, Colts Training Camp it's
on the near horizon. It starts on July twenty third,
less than two weeks up at Grand Park. Thirteen practices
for the Colts, all open to the public. They're gonna
(11:01):
have a night practice, They're gonna have a joint practice
with the Green Bay Packers, and as always, Colt City
is open to kids and families. So head to Colts
dot com slash camp to claim your tickets and you
can see a full rundown of the calendar and the
training camp dates up in Westfield. When we come back,
we're gonna talk about the burning questions going into the
season along that defensive line. Are we about to see
(11:21):
a huge sophomore season from Laasu latsu Our Grover Stewart
and DeForest Buckner still the best d tackle duo in
the NFL. We'll break it all down when we come back.
This is the last word. Ninety three five one oh
seven five the fan.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
We're giving you all you need to know on the Colts.
This is the last word from the Indiana Union Construction
Industry radio studio.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
BANG on the show on our Friday Night with Casey Vallei.
I'm Matt Taylor. Thanks for hanging out with us.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
Now.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
This is not a new song. I was just in
Florida last week, Casey, and I've heard this song before,
but it was everywhere. Was at every beach bar, every restaurant,
every established I have no idea who this is. I
have no idea what the words are. It's just like.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
I know that I know we are always working for
the thrill of it. But yeah, I'm with you. I
don't know any of the words either.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
I have no idea why this had a resurges or
maybe I was just the right place, right time. But
I swear I heard this song like four times in
a week. Really, I mean, I'm not the beach vibes.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
I don't think I've heard this song in the last
like four or five years, honestly.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
So well, lucky me right, Yeah, just like a magnet
for bad music. Hey. Registration for the thirteenth Annual Colts
five k Running Walk in the second annual Blues Fun Run.
It's open now. Both events are going to take place
at Lucas Oil Stadium coming up on Saturday, September sixth,
and that's going to lead into the season opener against
the Dolphins the following day. For more information on that
(12:48):
and to register, head to Colts dot com, or I
should say, head to coltsfivek dot com. That's where you
can get all the details on that. All right, we're
doing burning questions. We talked o line in segment one.
Let's focus now, okay on the defensive line. Burning questions there.
Number one, first and foremost, how about laya two latsu
breakout season for him as a sophomore in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
Yeah, I think so. I was going back kind of
looking at comparisons to where I think he's going to
have an impact in year two. And I know this
is very it's an elite player that we've seen run
through this Colts organization. But I envision a similar sophomore
season as to Robert Mathis. Robert Mathis had three and
a half sacks as a rookie. Now, Mathis was not
(13:33):
drafted to be you know, it wasn't a first round pick,
but I.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Then, yes, it was more of a special team's you
know Day three guy exactly.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
But mathis in year two had ten and a half
sacks and it was like, Okay, we know what we
have in there. I think that Layatuo Latu is gonna
have a similar season where once the year is over,
you go, we know what we have right there in
law two and you don't have to worry about it.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Yeah, he won seventeen sacks. Next year he wants to
sack a game.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
I mean if hey, I'm all for it.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
So I mean, but even if he gets double figures, yes,
you know, in any double figure's that means obviously more sacks,
but that also means more impact pressures, hits on the quarterback,
more tackles for loss. It just equals disruption. That's what
the Colts need more of on opposing quarterbacks. Opposing quarterbacks
completed seventy percent of their passes last year against this
(14:23):
Colts defense. Lattu needs the factor into fixing that problem.
Question number two on the defensive line, how about the
impact for Samson Ebicom. He's coming off of torn achilles
early on in camp last year. Casey, how do you
put your thumb on what the Colts may or may
not get from a guy coming off that serious problem.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
Yeah, they always say that the player coming off in
Achilles is kind of all the way back that second year,
so this is year one off of it. But I
think this all goes back to that first question with
Leatu Latu. I think what you get from him, what
you get also from Quidy Pay to Forest Buckner, all
of if that is going to help kind of ease
(15:02):
Samson back into the fold. Now, I don't know if
I want to put a number on what you're expecting
from him coming off this injury, but I mean he's
talked pretty positively about the way he feels like he
can impact the game. Yeah in twenty twenty five, and
he's the kind of guy where I'm not going to
doubt him. So I would expect him to still have
an impact. I don't know necessarily if it's he's going
(15:24):
to go out and have twelve and a half sacks
and be that guy week in week out, that's really
the target when you're looking at edge rushers. But I
think he can still have a pretty good impact.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Yeah, he's kind of a wild card in that regard.
I agree with you. I still think he's going to
have impact but with that Achilles injury, you know, usually,
like you said, your burst, your ability to plant and explode,
that's kind of like the last thing to fully come back.
That's what I'm sure Tyrese Haliburton for the Pacers is
going to have to deal with. But we talked to
Samson Ebcom earlier in the offseason and he talked about
(15:55):
that burst. Once he's fully healed, he thinks that burst
for him is going to be better than ever.
Speaker 6 (16:01):
I've sayed close enough that it'll be better when it's
one hundred. I think that my breast is going to
be better than what it was because back then I
was playing through pain and now it is fixed, I
can only imagine what it's like. So that's why I'm
like so grounded to trust the process, right because once
it's done coming, it.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Gives me chills.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
Dude, it does.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
Right.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
That's a confident player right there, and you know he
he knows that he's still got he still has some
hurdles he has to metaphorically jump over, but yeah, he's
confident that he's going to have some impact this year
for the Colts. He says he's close and we'll see
where he is during training camp. But whatever the Colts
get out of him, that's like, uh, that's like whipped
cream on the top of your strawberry shake. Right, still
(16:41):
pretty good. I think he's gonna be a good, good player.
But to what extent that's the big question. All Right,
let's go Grover Stewart and de Forrest Buckner, the guys
in the middle case these D tackles. Are they still
the best D tackled duo in the NFL? Where do
they ring?
Speaker 3 (16:58):
I'm gonna put this just like the Quintin Nelson part
in segment one. Yes they are. There is no reason
to believe that those two guys are not the best,
if not the best, one of the top three best
D line duos interior that you're gonna find in all
of the football.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
And I'm really excited to see what they can do
in a new scheme. Right, LouAnn arumos here now, and
that defense that he wants to run is predicated on
winning back to front because of being able to disguise
things in the secondary. You know, when his defense was
humming in Sincy, he had guys in the secondary, veterans
who really helped the pass rush. Here's DeForest Buckner on
(17:37):
how the secondary in this new scheme can help all
those guys up front.
Speaker 7 (17:41):
Oh, I mean even just watching the film and seeing
you know, he's just explained today and one of the looks,
you know what I mean, and it's gonna you know,
look like at certain coverage for the for the offense
and then you guys got you got guys dropping out,
you know, on a critical third down and you know,
quarterback hitches and you know Rush is able to get home,
and it's just like load thing like that where you know,
(18:01):
supposed to be quick game and you know, he thinks
it's it's man, it's a certain zone and all of
a sudden, it's like, oh it's not there. Now he's
trying to tuck it and run and you know Rush
gets there. So it's like little things like that where
we can you know, we can steal it down. It's
been awesome to really you know, learn and watch see
it come to life and really go out there and
do it.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Yeah. I love that phrase that you steal it down. Yeah,
make the quarterback hitch, make him think for just that
extra split second. Football is a game of inches, or
you know, in this case, a game of milliseconds. If
the secondary helps the pass rush, that could be all
that they need to get home to get more sacks,
more pressures, it creates more overthrows and ultimately, you know,
(18:41):
more takeaway. So really good insight right there from DeForest
Buckner and how the secondary helps the guys up front
and to close out. Speaking of Buckner and Grover Stewart
case they can't play every down a right, those guys
are iron men, but they can't play seventy five snaps
a game depending on the game. So Gallimore is here
now in free agency case, can he give the Colts
(19:03):
more production in the middle when either Stuart or Buckner
or both are off the field.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
Absolutely. I think what you saw the last time Gallimore
was on the field, that was during the Rams playoff
push last year. Two games he had six tackles two
and a half sad that is what he and ultimately
because of that, right and that's if you can pick
up right where you left off. You love that more
depth there at d tackle because that has been You
(19:30):
sit on the radio network with Rick Venturrey and he
is very open about the fact when Grover and buck
were off the field, it was almost an extra yard
in the run that opposing teams were getting. So yeah
for a timp. So if it's three yards with Grove
out there and back and then all of a sudden
it's four, it's a big change. So I think what
Neville Gallimore can add if he can play at that
(19:51):
level that we just saw him playing when I mean,
all the lights are on you and he was able
to go out and show what he can do. So
that is going to be big depth for the Colts
if he and live up to that.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
He's definitely an upgrade in the middle. I think he's
going to give some of those guys a break in
terms of playing time, and maybe it reduces their playing
time because there's more trust in Neville Gallimore. He can
give you more than what the Colts had before, and
thus that gives Buckner and Stewart more time to be fresh,
and they're more fresh at more points throughout the course
(20:21):
of a game. Completely agree. And when it comes to
that in stability and some of the production you've got
up front the Indianapolis Colts, they've teamed up with Anthem,
Blue Cross and Blue Shield to recognize school teachers, administrators, nurses,
and a lot of staff members who always go above
and beyond. You know, a classroom cornerback. Come on, now,
we all do nominate yours at colts dot com slash
(20:44):
classroom Quarterbacks. We're kind of up against it on time.
We'll give you the Forum Credit Union Question of the
Week when we come back, which will center around Casey.
All the teams around the NFL that are changing quarterbacks
next season. There's going to be ten teams that will
likely have a new starting signal caller this fall. We'll
try to name those teams and those players when we
(21:06):
come back. Closing it out here on the last word,
bring your thinking cat brother. Right after this on ninety
three five one oh seven five the fan.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Only getting you can't get enough football. You're in the
right place. This is the off season radio home of
the Indianapolis Colts. The last word from the Indiana Union
Construction Industry Radio Studio.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
All right, we're back on the show Casey, you picked
out this song during the break. I listened to it,
never heard it. Explain yourself here, what are we doing?
Speaker 3 (21:35):
So you said in Florida you heard whatever song that
neither of us could name the artist or the band.
Last segment, So this is what I heard at every
party I went to in college circa twenty ten, eleven twelve.
This was it. Breathe Carolina Blackout. Yeah, you know, I'm good.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
We are so blessed to have that on this weekend
kickstarting that things Friday. All right, that's Casey Value over there.
I'm Matt Taylor and it's time down to close out
the show. A few minutes left here, time for the
Forum Credit Union Question of the week, which is good.
Unlike the song that we just heard, Casey. The question
is this, there's gonna be likely eleven teams next season
(22:12):
in the NFL who are expected to have a different
starting quarterback in Week one this year than they did
in Week one of last season twenty twenty four. So
who are those teams? And can you name the quarterbacks
in the shuffle.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
I'm pretty confident in this, okay. So I'm gonna start
with Michael PINNOCKX Junior.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
Yeah, you had your pencil out during my did I
was cheater?
Speaker 3 (22:32):
Well, I mean I don't know cheater. I didn't even
I didn't look it up. I just looked at the teams.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
All right.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
So Pinnick Junior in Atlanta over Cousins yep. Sam Darnold
now in Seattle, So therefore Gino Smith moves to Las Vegas.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
JJ McCarthy Minnesacarthy Minnesota, Okay cam Ward with Tennessee yep,
Russell Wilson with the Giants. There's also Jameis Winston and
the Jackson Dark Jackson Dart there so who knows one
of those Daniel Jones here with the Colts.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
Correct, Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
I mean, as he's no longer with the Giants.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
He was the starter last year yep, Aaron Rodgers and Pittsburgh. Therefore,
that means that Fields goes to the Jets.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
And I can't remember who's I guess it was Rogers
Aaron Rodgers last year. That's your brain on fire, right exactly. Cleveland,
good luck. You've got Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco and the
couple rookies and Gabriel and Sanders. So one of those
guys will start.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
Shan Watson not going to start with the injury yep.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Drake May and New England. I think Jacoby Brissett started
last year. Yeah, So then I say, and then in
New Orleans Derek Carr is out, So you've got the Trio. There,
Hainer Rattler shook one of those three. That's I think
that's eleven. Brother, got it.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
And then if if Daniel Jones starts with the Colts,
that would make twelve. Well, Anthony Richardson started last year
Week one for the Colts.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
So there you go.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
This is likely going to be the eleventh consecutive season
in the NFL that ten or more teams will have
a different starting quarterback and their season opener from the
previous season. Eleventh, eleventh. I mean, that's we say it
every year, talked about this during the break that it
seems like every year this is the highest quarterback movement
(24:15):
we've ever seen. Right, the You've got the quarterback teams
that have stability. Everybody else is looking for their guys,
shuffling around based on contracts and things like that. But
eleven consecutive seasons that that amount of teams is looking
for a new guy, It's that's astonishing to me. Visit
