In this episode, we celebrate the little (and big) wins at Rome Health. AnneMarie kicks things off with a heartfelt community shout-out: a grateful patient's note praising our outstanding outpatient surgery team, floor staff, imaging nurses, surgical staff, anesthesiologist, and physician for delivering exceptional care close to home.
Next, we dive into an exciting update on our new Electronic Health Record (EHR) project, funded by an $18.9 million New York State grant. This major initiative will replace six separate systems with one integrated platform to improve care coordination, access, and the overall patient experience. Voting is now open for the project's name! The four finalists are:
The new system (and possibly the patient portal) is slated to go live in December 2027. CIO Nancy Levett shares the guiding principles: safety & security, reliability & efficiency, fiscal responsibility, integration, and analytics—all rooted in our mission, vision, and values.
Joining AnneMarie is special guest Sarah Grocholski, Director of IT at Rome Health. With 24 years at the organization—from nursing aide and ICU monitor tech to bedside nurse and IT educator since 2011—Sarah leads a talented team of 14 handling help desk, networking, printing, and telecom. She talks about their proactive rounding, daily huddles, high interdisciplinary satisfaction, and her enthusiasm for moving from multiple legacy EMRs to a modern, unified system.

Betrayal Season 5
Saskia Inwood woke up one morning, knowing her life would never be the same. The night before, she learned the unimaginable – that the husband she knew in the light of day was a different person after dark. This season unpacks Saskia’s discovery of her husband’s secret life and her fight to bring him to justice. Along the way, we expose a crime that is just coming to light. This is also a story about the myth of the “perfect victim:” who gets believed, who gets doubted, and why. We follow Saskia as she works to reclaim her body, her voice, and her life.
