Speaker 4 (00:19):
It is your buddy Battle and man, oh man, do
we have a lot to unpack this cold, rainy, snowy
Monday morning. First off, we're gonna talk about Howiken snag
tickets to see ac DC and Metallica when they roll
through Music City, and of course got something special for
you later in the hour when we play one stupid
question tickets to the greatest show on Earth, the Ringling

(00:42):
Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
So that's gonna be fun. We'll do once to a
question coming up around six forty.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
And of course we're gonna have to address the elephant
in the room that awful, dreadful, horrendous Titans game yesterday.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
What went wrong? What does it mean for the team
moving forward?

Speaker 4 (00:57):
We'll talk about that and more when we get into
what's trending next. Welcome into Monday Morning Show. It is
great to be here with you this morning. Thanks for
spending some time with US's twenty five to nine in
the Rock Nashville's Classic Rock with Tears for Fears twenty
five nine in the Rock, Nashville's Classic Rock.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
What's going on?

Speaker 4 (01:16):
It is battle hanging out here on your Monday morning,
and well, let's get a look into what's trending here
this morning, and let's talk about it. Man, if you're
anything like me, you spend most of your Sundays trying
to figure out how the hell we ended up here.
But hey, there's a silver lining when it comes to
the Tennessee Titans. We snacked number one draft pick after

(01:38):
getting beat yesterday by the Houston Texans while wearing Houston
Oilers jerseys, and who knows, maybe this is the start.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Of a Titans revival.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
I mean, I would hope that this is something to
do with the Titans, especially when you're spending so much
money on a new stadium, and if you were all
out of that team that we saw yesterday in the
new stadium, let me tell you it is not going
to be fun there in Nissan's stadium. But yesterday, after
the loss, of course, Brian Callahan was that his press
conference had this to say when he found out about
getting the number one draft pick in the upcoming twenty

(02:10):
twenty five NFL drafts, Those.

Speaker 5 (02:11):
Aren't things that are exciting to truthfully from my perspective,
not where I wanted to be this year, not where
our team wanted to be. You know, those are the
things that you that you get when you're not playing
well enough. And that's where we are. And yeah, that's
something I'm going to take a lot of solace in.
But we'll move to that phase start tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Well, here's the deal, Brian Callahan, Like I understand, this
is not the season that any of us wanted to see, right,
I mean, you spend all that money in the offseason,
you think that Will Levis is going to be the guy.
Hell I even thought he was going to be the
guy at the beginning of the season, so much that
I bought his jersey. And then yesterday we saw how
that played out. So it looks like, well, the Tennessee
Titans are now on the clock, and according with the

(02:56):
twenty twenty five NFL Draft pick to see Titans select
could be Shodoor Sanders from Colorado, could be cam Ward
from Miami or the Titans could just tighten it up
and probably trade back and draft an offensive lineman like.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
They've done in the past several years. But we'll see how
that plays out.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
We've got a lot of time between now and the
NFL Draft to figure things out. Also, real quick today
and well every day, we're gonna help you rock into
the new year. All you have to do is listen
for back to back songs from Metallica and ac DC,

red talkback Mike on the app, say the keyword, and boom,

but it's a little spooky stuff.

Speaker 4 (06:50):

just it feels good to say that. After having many, many, many, many,
many many conversations with program director in the higher ups,
he finally said, you know what, leave me the hell alone.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
You can call it your show.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
It's your morning show now, and I was like yes,
And it seems like a lot of other.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
So a lot of people have been asking when is
it going to be your show? It's just you now,
Well today is that day.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
It is my show. We call this thing Battle in
the Morning, but it's really not my show. It's our show. Yes,
this is ultimately your show.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
I'm just here pushing buttons and talking into a microphone.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
He giving stuff away.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
Yesterday was not a fun day. If your name is
Brian Callahan, it's Battle in the morning. It's one oh
five nine in the right Nashville's classic rock. Hey, it's battle.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
So yeah, Titan season not what we were hoping or expecting.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
Yeah, finish the season three and fourteen. We now hold
the number one overall draft pick in the upcoming twenty
twenty five NFL Draft. Yesterday, of course, during Brian Callahan's
post game press conference, he had this to say about
finding out about getting the number one draft pick.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
Those aren't things that are exciting to truthfully from my perspective,
Not where I wanted to be this year, not where
our team wanted to be. You know, those are the
things that you that you get when you're not playing
well enough. And that's where we are. And yeah, that's
something I'm going to take a lot of solace in.
But we'll move to that phase starting tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
Yeah, And of course, right now you're looking around the league. Yesterday,
the Patriots fired girod Mayo, which potentially is the opening
slot for Mike We're able to go to. The Jaguars
announced that they fired Doug Peterson in Jacksonville, It'll be
interesting to see what plays out over the next couple
of days. Is Brian Callahan getting fired? Is Ran Carthon

(15:09):
getting fired? Do they stick around and pick a quarterback
with that number one draft pick. There's a lot of
questions to be asked. Hopefully those questions will be answered
over the next several days. As a Titan season ticket holder,
I would like for something cool to happen with this draft.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Maybe we get a quarterback.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
Because you're about to open a brand new stadium and
you're asking season ticket holders and people to pay a
boatload of money to be in the building.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Nobody wants to pay that money to be in that building.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
If we see the same team that we saw yesterday
performing the new building, I'm just saying hopefully the Titans
will get this draft pick right well.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
When to enjoin the show? Talk to us by calling
six seven, three, seven one nine The Rock the music
we listen to all year long.

Speaker 7 (15:56):
For the anthems that were our soundtrack for twenty twenty four.
Like the stars who made the songs we love, we'll
all be celebrated.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
Let's get it started.

Speaker 7 (16:10):
In March seventeen, Live from Los Angeles, coming back to Fox.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
Be here at our twenty twenty five iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Music Awards nominees are announced Thursday at eight am.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
It's Battle in the morning. It's one O five nine
of the Right, Nashville's classic rock. Hey, what's up? It's
battle Now.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
If you get a text message today saying hey, we
need to talk from your significant other, just ignore it.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Don't answer it until tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (16:36):
Because well, apparently today is divorce day, the day of
the year you're most likely to get dump now. It's
not clear if it's really true or not, but stats
show that January probably does deserve the title of divorce month.
A study in twenty twenty found that Google searches for
things like quickie divorce more than double every January. Experts

(16:57):
are thinking it's because people tend to avoid break ups
in November and December just to get through the holidays,
or sometimes all that holiday stress can be that final straw.
Of course, the first working Monday gets the divorced a
title because the added stress of getting back to work
can push people over the edge. So in other words,
it's a good day to toss out a random compliment

(17:18):
or do something nice for your partner.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
It could save your relationship for now at least one.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
If I'm not in the right in Nashville's classic rock,
It's Battle in the morning, what's going on.

Speaker 6 (17:28):
I wanted to tell you congratulations. Love your show and
listen to it every day.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
Oh, I appreciate that. Thanks for calling in this morning.

Speaker 6 (17:37):
Okay, yeah, I was kind of bad. I thought when
the other guy come there, I thought you were leaving.
Then I said, that's it, he leaves. I'm watching. I'm
listening to some of the stations. Congratulations.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Well, thank you.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
I don't plan to go anywhere in unless program director
Jonathan kicks me out of here, so we're going to
be stuck together for a little while.

Speaker 6 (17:56):
Well, if he teacks you out, let me know when
I'll come after him.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
I appreciate that, Thanks for that.

Speaker 6 (18:03):
Okay, bye bye.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
If you want to be a part of the show
anytime since one five seven, three seven, one oh five nine,
or if you're listening on the iHeartRadio app, just tap
that red talkback Mike.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
Well, I know we just talked about.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
Today is divorce day apparently, But if you want to
strengthen your relationship so you don't participate in divorce day,
they say, passing gas in front of your partner leads
to a stronger relationship.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
Hey, it's Battle in the morning. It's one oh five
nine in the right.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Now. If you ever felt the desire to cut the
cheese in front of your partner, but decide to hold it, yeah,
you might be putting your relationship in jeopardy.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
They say that.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
According to a relationship guru Cynthia pal said, the couples
who get over the initial embarrassment of breaking wind in
front of each other early in a relationship are more
likely to stay together and live healthier lives. And she
said that once the couples get over the initial embarrassment of,
you know, cutting a cheese in front of a new partner,
it seems to open up a whole new period of openness, honesty,

(18:57):
and trust.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
Yeah, let that sink in for a little bit. If
you want to strengthen your relationship, apparently you're supposed to
fart in front of each other. I don't know about that.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
Still rolling commercial free for an entire hour. It is
one oh five nine the right Nashville's classic rockets Battle

Speaker 3 (20:11):

the day. Yeah, stupid people in the news.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
You would think when I read this story it came
from Florida, but nope, this one came from us, from
the West coast, all the way from California. Yeah, I'll
tell you about what uh oh happened to a guy
in California. That start off is twenty twenty five and
the Slammer. Hey, just a friendly reminder, make sure you're
listening on the iHeartRadio ap today because when you hear

(20:42):

that easy.

Speaker 4 (20:56):
It's one oh five nine in the Rock Nashville's Classic
