In this episode, Spencer, James and Jiselle discuss the highly competitive AFC East in 2025. The Buffalo Bills, led by MVP Josh Allen, aim to defend their division title. The Miami Dolphins' success hinges on quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's health, while new head coach Mike Vrabel looks to elevate the New England Patriots. The New York Jets, with Justin Fields, are still seen as a team in transition. The consensus is that the Bills will dominate the division, but there's potential for surprises from both the Patriots and Dolphins. Spencer (00:00):
The A FC East is going to be absolutely insane in 2025.

(00:05):
The Buffalo Bills and MVP, JoshAllen are the defending
champions of the division, butwe have new personnel in New
York.
We got Miami down there, alwaysready to have a prolific
offense.
And then the Patriots arelooking to take a big step
forward with their new headcoach, Mike Vrabel.
James, what is the X factor forthe A FC East in 2025?

James (00:30):
You know it, man.
We all know it.
It's two is health.
It's just, it is just what itis.
Because if two is not healthy, this is a runaway Bills mafia
train.
Mm-hmm.
Again, winning the A FC East.
Now I do agree.
I'm with you, Spence.
At first I used to laugh at youabout your Patriots pick, but I
do love the steam rolling intoFoxborough.

(00:54):
I don't think they'll compete,but they'll be a lot better than
last year.
Yeah.
And the Jets, you know, Hey man, they got rid of all the bad
toxin, you know, from thewhatever dark camp that Aaron
Rogers came from.
We got Justin Fields whomight've, you know, at a time
dislocated his toe.
Maybe didn't, who knows?

(01:14):
I still don't understand howpeople get injured like that
carted off.
He was carted off James.
Yeah.
I still don't get it.
Like, we're not even reallyplaying football, but it's okay.
Another story for another time.
But it is really to his hellbecause, as much as I love Tua,
the Dolphins, this team goesdrastically different.
It's not even funny.
Like you see one game, you seethe Dolphins, blow out like the

(01:37):
Broncos 70 to nothing and thenTua gets hurt and then you got
Skylar Thomas and Tyler Huntleyand they can't even drop like
six points in a game.
It's really sad how this teamhas gone.
And I feel bad for MikeMcDaniels on this one.
I think his job's on the line.
I think he is too nonchalant.
And if he doesn't find a way towin a playoff game, because

(02:00):
Spence, you talked about theTexans just getting a home game
in the second round.
The Dolphins need a home game inthe first round.
Mm-hmm.
Just to get some type of lifebecause you know the joke, if
it's cold, ain't no dolphinsswimming in no cold water.
That's for sure.
And we saw it happen with theChiefs.
They were abysmal.

(02:21):
They were abysmal.
And so at the end of the day, yeah it's to his health.
And if he can stay healthy, Ilike this Dolphins team to sneak
in as a wild card,unfortunately.
Probably play a freaking coldass team again and lose, or hey,
they get the Texans Saturday atfour 30

Spencer (02:37):
Eastern.
You know, it, you book it, youknow the Houston, Texas will
always be playing in that game.
Giselle, the a FC East has beendominated by Josh Allen.
Do you see them running it backagain?

Jiselle (02:50):
Yes.

Spencer (02:52):
Yes.
In the video.
We're done.

Jiselle (02:55):
No, really though the bills are gonna be number one.
I'm with James on this one.
I would love for the dolphins tocome in at number two and I
still may have them.
Seated at that number twoposition.
My only thing is I worry notonly about Tuas Health, but in
recent interview it's been shownthat head coach Mike McDaniels,

(03:15):
is a little bit tired of theantics from Tyreek Hill.
So if you start to see that ininterviews, you can only imagine
what goes on behind the scenesand in the locker room that we
are not privy to.
That's true.
Uh, so if they don't get thatfigured out, I don't know how
we're gonna see this team be assuccessful as they could be for

(03:40):
this season.
Yeah.

Spencer (03:41):
I'm with you.
Uh, James, you, you kind ofsurprised me.
I mean, I guess it's notsurprising'cause of how much you
love Tua.
I love Tua.
I don't see a path for theDolphins to be successful in
2025 at all.
I don't like their defense.
Tua like you mentioned James,he's always a health concern.
But even when he's healthy, I'mnot a big fan of him as a

(04:02):
quarterback.
And Mike McDaniels he's not asfunny in his press conferences
anymore.
His whole shtick, his wholespiel run, kind of stale at this
point.
People aren't really buying itanymore and he needs to give us
some results.
Or he's gonna be the nextDolphins head coach a long line
of dolphins head coaches thatjust have all this hype, have
all this promise, and then theyjust fizzle out.

(04:25):
They have a very unceremonious, very unsexy end.
And I think Mike McDaniel is ona crash course for that Now, for
the Jets.
I love Aaron Glenn.
And I love Justin Fields, but Idon't see a path for this team
finishing anywhere above sevenin 10.
I don't believe in this being aone year turnaround.

(04:46):
I like, again, some of the movesthey've made, and I like their
outlook for the future, but Idon't think it's this year.
But James, you mentioned it.
I am a big fan of what thePatriots are cooking up there.
I've always said, I wasrejoicing so much the day the
Tennessee Titans fired MikeVrabel as a Houston Texans fan,
and now he is in New Englandback where it all started for

(05:09):
him.
Mm-hmm.
He is a great head coach.
Mm-hmm.
He is a culture setter.
He is a leader of men, and Ithink he's the perfect head
coach for someone like a youngsecond year quarterback in Drake
May, who shown plenty of flashesin his rookie season.
Pro Bowl, pro bowler.
Drake may, don't y'all forgetit.

(05:30):
I think he takes a big stepforward in his second season,
gets more consistent.
He's gonna use his legs a lot.
And I truly believe at the endof the year, we are going to
look very, very confidently onDrake.
May as a serviceable, and I'llsay this, he'll be in the top 16
of the quarterback discussion bythe end of the year.
And I'd even say he might evenbe sniffing the top 10.

(05:52):
If everything goes well, the bigDrake May fan.
So I love the Patriots Outlookthis year, but it's the Bills
division.
It's Josh Allen.
Mm-hmm.
He's the MVP.
And look, it's another case whenwe, we talked about this when we
did the A FC North breakdown.
He's another person where youlook at him play and you think

(06:13):
he's eventually going to getone.
Now, I don't think it's gonna behim this year.
I think he's gonna have to waitagain.
But Josh Allen is so special, itwouldn't shock anyone if this is
the year he finally breaksthrough, finally gets past the,
mm-hmm.
And really gets that monkey offhis back and gets to a Super
Bowl.
But I think the bills, I thinkthey're gonna easily win 12

(06:34):
games and run away with thisdivision.
James, what do you think happenswith the A FC East?

James (06:40):
I, so this is my prediction, so I'm gonna go
Bill's, dolphins, patriots,jets.
But I will say this, Spence, because I am tagging along your
Patriots bandwagon.
Gotcha.
If Mike Vrabel can coach RyanTannahill and get to an a FC
championship if Drake, may himplay that type of role, I might

(07:06):
put the Patriots number two inthe A FC this year.

Spencer (07:09):
Okay.

Jiselle (07:10):
Hmm.

Spencer (07:11):
Is that, well, it's time to make your pick, James.
Is it a might or are you gonnado it?
Are you gonna put your name onit?
No,

James (07:17):
I'm putting my Hons onto it and his brain to stay healthy
and be number two in the eastand like I said, play Saturday
at four 30 Eastern versus theTexans.
Giselle, how do you see the A

Spencer (07:32):
FC Easts shaken out

Jiselle (07:34):
bill's number one, dolphins number two.
Number three will be Patriotsand nobody cares about the
goddamn jets.

Spencer (07:41):
Hmm.
Harsh but true words fromGiselle.
But y'all let us know in thecomments who's taking the A FC
East in 2025, do the bills, runit back in dominant fashion
again, or do one of these otherthree teams pull off and upset
y'all?
Let us know in the comments.
