In this episode with Dr Katie Lush, we explore how true healing often requires a radical shift in perspective. We unpack the journey from chronic illness to holistic transformation and how embracing both science and spirituality can open powerful new pathways to wellness.

We also dive deep into the energetics of money, discussing how financial blocks are often rooted in unhealed emotions and limiting beliefs. Through this lens, healing your relationship with yourself becomes the foundation for attracting abundance and aligned opportunities. This conversation is a powerful reminder that inner work doesn't just change your life—it changes your bank account, too.

Hello everyone, welcome back to another episode
of Heal Yourself Podcast.
You've got Kira today with alovely stuffy nose, and we are
joined by a guest I'm excited toshare with you.
Her name is Katie Lush and sheis a life and business energy
coach and she has kind of aninteresting history as a former

(01:13):
researcher and we're going totalk about that.
So, katie, I'm actually goingto let you introduce yourself to
our audience.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
Hello everybody, I'm Katie and thank you so much for
being here.
It's always a pleasure to sharemy story and my work and it's
really funny.
Yes, because I actually startedas a researcher.
So I did all the academia.
I was a formal researcher forabout 20 years, so I was like a

(01:40):
lab mouse.
All of that and science was abig part of my life, was really
big, big part of my life, andthis means it was also a big,
big part of the way I wasthinking, and it still is.
But, due also to my personalhistory, I started to integrate

(02:01):
other philosophies and startedto explore other worlds, like
Eastern philosophies and thingslike that, and I started to
integrate them and putting themtogether until one day I decided
I wanted to do more than justthe science and I really wanted
to put out everything I foundout, because I found out it can

(02:21):
be so amazing and it can changelives so, so, so fast and much
faster than I myself as aresearcher could conceive before
.
Because I was so much in thismindset of science and testing
everything, which I still am.
I still have a very pragmaticmind, but I just opened myself

(02:43):
to more extensive fields ofscience and also philosophy,
hypnotherapy, mindset all ofthat is very, very big in my
work now.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Which this is amazing because so many people won't do
that.
You know it's, I'm clinicallytrained.
I'm looking at the science overhere, that's it.
I live in my box.
I will not get out of my boxand you stepped out which is big
, because not a lot of peopleare willing to do that and say,
well, what about these otherphilosophies over here?

(03:17):
What about this other stuffthat people are talking about
and calling woo-woo quackery, whatever they come up with?

Speaker 4 (03:24):
Yeah, yeah, that's true, but I think it was really
the healing part that neededthis and my self-opening.
It was this myself, like I hadsevere autoimmune diseases which
put me in a physical, emotional, emotional, mindset, even
economical state that was not sopleasurable, and I know there

(03:47):
are many people like that and Iat one point nobody had a
solution for me.
Like I moved to differentcountries I was in Germany, us,
uk, I traveled around the worldto find a solution and nobody
really had a solution for me.
And the way I was put like inthis box, was no science,

(04:10):
medicine has no solution for you.
And at that point I felt thisneed, no, this will not be my
life and I refused that.
This will become my lifebecause I could not move even
and I had pain 24-7 and theoutcomes looked so terrible and

(04:32):
it was actually a need thatpushed me out of this box of
science to look for otherphilosophies.
So it was not all my endeavor,it was actually this need of
looking for other philosophies.
So it was not all my endeavor,it was actually this need of
looking for other things.
What I believe was my endeavorwas then trying to bring all

(04:54):
these concepts together, and mymind is scientifically trained
but also very good at connectingthings, and there was really
where I think I did differentlythan many of my colleagues, but
it was the healing need, andthat's why I think healing is so

(05:14):
important and such a bigsubject it is.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
But you know, I will also say and I'm just going to
go back to you, I'm going togive you some credit here but
I've spoken with so many womenover the years I mean, I've been
in practice now for almost adecade and they accept the pain.
They accept.
You know what I mean.
They don't look for anythingelse.
And you said no, I refuse todeal with this.

(05:40):
Your identity was alreadyshifting, and some people don't
shift that identity, they justaccept.
And that's always our call toaction on here Start shifting
the way you think about things.
Start shifting your identity.
That's where healing starts tohappen.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
I really strongly believe that healing, any kind
of discomfort and where healingis called in is really trying to
push us into a differentidentity, as you mentioned,
pushing us into differentmindset and and this is I know,

(06:16):
I have been there in so manyways and forms it's so harsh and
so hard for us because we feelthe stretch.
We are so comfortable in thisown box, as you mentioned right
and we feel the stretch likereally, do I have to go out of

(06:38):
my comfort zone, out of my box, like I know everything inside of
my box and I'm doing greatinside of my box, until the
moment you are not anymore.
And there is where healingcomes in and where then you have
to find out who you truly areand what you truly need.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
Yeah, yeah Well, I'm curious because I know you talk
a lot about money and that's abig leap from the science world.
How did you get to the space oftalking about money and what
does that look like?
Because we've touched on itbefore on a previous episode,
but it's always interestingbecause there are so many people

(07:20):
in the world who need healingaround money people in the world
who need healing around money.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
Oh yeah, because I think money healing it really
starts with healing oneself andstarts with healing the
relationship with yourself.
And very often your mind can'tconceive you having, I don't
know, six figures, seven, ten, eight figures, whatever the
numbers looks like and your mindcannot accept.
Again, it's a matter ofidentity, but it can be many

(07:55):
other things as well.
It can be like people beingafraid of exposing themselves,
for example, or people beingafraid of being more, because
having more money requires again, you stretching your identity
of what you are right now tobecome this other version of

(08:16):
yourself that has more money.
It's a different version ofyourself and this different
version has the good and the badand the ugly.
It has everything.
So you just have to expand andallow yourself to expand.
And very often people ask me oh,how do I take care of money

(08:41):
blocks?
How do I heal my money block?
And I truly believe there areno money blocks whatsoever.
There are no money blocks.
There are personal blocks, there are emotional blocks,
there are mindset blocks.
There are a ton of blocksassociated with money.

(09:03):
Yes, for sure, but there are nomoney blocks because money is
just a token, for energy is justa different version of saying
you have a lot of energy likeeverything that is very valuable
.
Whatever we consider gold, oil, whatever we consider as valuable

(09:23):
, we usually put a price on it,and even for the things that
don't have a price, if weconsider it valuable, we are
willing to pay time or effort orit's.
It's a matter of energy again, and if you heal yourself and you

(09:45):
let the energy flow and youallow this energy to be part of
yourself, then the money blocksdissolve.
And I have seen this over andover and over again where, even
with myself, it's like I Iwanted more money but I didn't

(10:07):
want to be exposed, for example, and I was comfortable because I
had enough.
I had enough as a scientist, Ihad enough as a coach, I had
enough, but to get more I had tobe more and I had to be more
exposed.
And there were blocks there, but were not money blocks, they

(10:28):
were my personal blocks.
And I think here's the, the,the difference to look at it,
because it's nothing that isexternal to us, is something
that is within us, and thebeauty of that is, if sensing is
within us, then we have thepower to change it.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
And this is where it goes back to energy, which is an
interesting conversation.
I don't know if people areready to hear it completely, but
the idea that money doesn'tcome just from hard work.
If it did, look at these peopleworking two or three jobs, they
should be multimillionaires.
It's not.
Money comes from who you'rebeing and that's the energy

(11:15):
piece, not saying that you cansit on the couch and do nothing,
you know, scroll your phone allday and expect money to just
flow in.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
Yes, you have to do some stuff, but you're right,
the more that you work onhealing that internal piece, the
more the money becomesattracted to you, because it's
energy and very often peopleforget things, like they work so
hard and then suddenly they geta little bit of money and a big

(11:42):
bill comes out of nothing andthey go back to square one.
How often does this happen?
Or they are finally gettingthere and suddenly illness comes
in, some kind of illness orsome kind of house problem, and
suddenly they go back to squareone where they started, where
their money level they feelcomfortable with.

(12:06):
And most people don't thinkabout it in this way.
And what I see a lot as well iswith business owners because,
as you mentioned, for sure wehave to put the action in.
If we lie down on the sofa, scroll on our phone and do
nothing, we are also not puttingthe energy flowing, our action

(12:30):
flowing, putting ourselves outthere, and for sure we are not
becoming who we want to be right.
So we have to do it to becomeit that that we want to be, but
only when.
When we do that, that the moneyfinds kind of roads to come in,

(12:50):
that's for sure.
But how often are people doingstuff and going back to square
one?
And most people don't thinkabout it.
And with business owners, as Iwas talking about, it's like how
many of my clients started withoh, I can get a lot of low
paying clients, but no highpaying ticket clients.

(13:13):
Why is that?
What are the aspects that theyhave to work with, what are the
aspects that have to be dealtwith?
And I can tell you it's not anextra course.
Usually it's not an extracourse.
Usually it's not an extracourse.
It's not an extra skill.
It might be, sometimes it is,but very often is something

(13:38):
deeper some belief, some fear, some, um, not wanted to to
expand, not being afraid of thisdifferent identity that they
can become yeah, well, in this,I mean I'm still going to tie it
back to money.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
But I'm curious when we hear healing, a lot of times
we assume it's physical healing.
Right, oh, I need healingbecause I have fatigue, I need
healing because I have pelvicpain, whatever it might look
like.
But there's a deeper layer ofhealing.
Obviously Are there signs tolook for when someone needs
healing.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Oh my God, healing.
I usually like to start withvery basic and very simple.
Like to start with very basicand very simple and I strongly
believe if a person feels somekind of discomfort, if there is
some kind of unease, this is asign that there is some healing
necessary at a certain level ofthat person, and really it is.

(14:46):
As you said, we associatehealing with the physical pain.
But if we use that as anexample and I kind of touched
that at the very beginning if wehave, like, a chronic issue or
some kind of long term physicalproblem, our emotions get
affected, the way we feel getaffected and our mindset get

(15:07):
affected, the way we feel getaffected and our mindset gets
affected, and, on a longer term, our income many times gets
affected as well.
And what this shows, or whatthis indicates, at least for me,
is that they are actuallyassociated.
And when we do the healing andif I talk about healing money

(15:33):
issues what happens is we haveto think in the same way, but
reverse and is actually I liketo use this example of like,
when we go up to a mountain andwe are just going up and going
up and as we go higher we startto say things that we didn't see

(15:56):
before.
We start to have a differentperspective and we start to
reveal aspects of things thatwere always there but we
couldn't see.
And then other things we lookat them differently because we
already been there and wealready overcame it.

(16:18):
And healing money really veryoften requires healing what I
call the whole body, holistically, like the physical
part, the emotional part, themindset and some people like to
say the spiritual part.
But I think money really canaffect all of them Because, for

(16:40):
example, I know people theydon't really want more money,
even if they say they want, because if you ask anybody, if
you want more money, even ifthey say they want, because if
you ask anybody, do you wantmore money?
Everybody wants.
But then what comes up if wetalk about money?
Oh, I'm greedy, I'm not a goodperson, other people will not

(17:02):
talk with me, my friends willnot love me anymore, and none of
this it's money's fault.
Money is neutral, has nothingto do with that.
It's really where are you inthe mountain when you go up,
like, in which position are youand which position are you

(17:25):
willing to go?
Because you need an effort togo to the next step, because
it's not always comfortable, forsure, but the view can be
amazing and the perspective canbe amazing and the feeling when
you are up there can be amazing, like you manage, you did it and
actually you are able to domore than you expected.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
Yeah, yeah, and that's such a good way of
looking at it.
I know people are going to askand there's never just a few
simple things, right.
This is always a loadedquestion.
I ask it on every call but howdo you get started healing your

(18:08):
relationship with money?
Like, like, is there somethingthat someone can do, because I
goodness knows most people haveissues with money?

Speaker 4 (18:16):
and I think we start not with what people can do, but
who they want to be.
Who do you want to be?
This is a question I ask mostof my clients is like who do you
want to be?
Who do you want to be?
This is a question I ask mostof my clients is like who do you
want to be and what are thetraits of that character?

(18:36):
Let's imagine it's a characterand you want to become that
celebrity.
Let's say it like this, becausepeople associate celebrities
with a lot of money.
Let's imagine you want to be acertain celebrity, whatever that
is A person that you identifywith and who do you want to be?
Which celebrity it is?
And then, which traits doesthat person have?

(19:00):
Like, is it kind?
Is it confident?
Is it authentic?
How is that person?
What are the traits of thatperson?
And once you have that, thenyou have the direction you want
to move towards and it's notreally a goal of what you do is

(19:25):
you are directed for whom youwant to become, who you want to
be, and that gives you direction.
And then starts the action part, like what do you have to
change today?
Let's imagine you want tobecome more confident.
What can you do to become moreconfident?

(19:46):
What can you do to become moreconfident?
What is interfering with yourconfidence?
Is it really because you areafraid that other people see you
?
Are you afraid that your worthis really not enough?
Is your value, uh, what is it?

(20:10):
Once we start to identify thedifferent parts, then we start
the doing.
The doing, then, is reallyclosing the gap between the
steps.
The doing then starts there, but you have to set the
direction, and what I see veryoften is people think, oh, what

(20:31):
do I do to get money?
And then whatever, yeah, andand it doesn't work.
And it doesn't work becausethey didn't consider what I call
the you factor.
It's like the you factor, likewhat are your values?
What are your values?
Who do you want to become?

(20:52):
What do you love doing?
What comes easy to you?
And after you put this together, you have this direction and
then you close the gap.
And if you just go around anddo this and this and that, it
works sometimes, it does worksometimes, but very often it

(21:16):
doesn't, or not to the extentthat it could and, more
importantly, not with the easeas it could, because we
associate money with effort andit's not necessarily yes, yes,
needs action.
But what is more effort?
Working on a job that youreally hate and you're like on

(21:36):
sunday you're already sufferingbecause you have to go there or
doing something you really love, even if you work the same
amount of hours, yeah, what isharder?
So for me it's not a matter ofeffort, it's really a matter of
coming back, coming back, comingback.

(21:58):
And there's something I love tomake things easy.
I love to make things easy andI think the easiest path very
often is the best Easiest not inthe sense of non-ethical
easiest for each personindividually.
And then let's have fun.

(22:19):
Can we have fun?
Can we explore again?
Like I love this attitude of achild Of exploring, of having
this curiosity of looking and, because many of us, we don't
even know who we are we've lostit yeah, and very often we just

(22:45):
took in what society told us ourparents, our families, our
academia, our science, ourmedical field, all of that.
We just took this in and weforgot who, what we like and

(23:09):
what we want to become and weforget the you part.
And very often we have to peellike an onion.
We have to peel these differentlayers until we go and find the
essence again and from there webuild in again.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
We build up and this is so much like physical healing
too.
So for those listening that arelike, oh, my money's okay, but
you're dealing with physicalissues, it's the same thing.
This is what I always tell myclients.
We can throw a millionsupplements at it and run labs,
but if you don't even start toembody the person of someone,
that is well.
If that's so far out of yourrealm because you've been sick

(23:52):
for so long, you're not going toget better.
And that's a hard one to hear, but it's the same thing.
You have to go back to the youpiece.
If you hate your life, if youhate everyone around you, you've
been suffering for so long.
You do nothing that brings youjoy.
Why on earth is your body goingto respond in a positive way?

Speaker 4 (24:10):
Because all you're feeding it is negativity,
negativity, and it's the samewith money and it's exactly the
same as money, and that's why Ithink healing is a holistic
process and we can actuallystart in different parts, and we
always have to to do it trulyand thoroughly.

(24:31):
We have to integrate thedifferent parts because we are
one body, we are one being andthings are connected and it's
like your body has the physicalpart, but your emotions have
chemicals that interfere withthe physical part and your
thoughts have chemicals thatinterfere with the physical part
, and your thoughts and yourfeelings and your emotions

(24:55):
interfere with your genes andand we are in this loop.
Yeah, no matter where we start,we can interfere with the other
fields.
Yeah, it's all connected.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
it's all connected and I love it because of that,
because you can always be moreyeah, we can well, for those
that are interested in workingwith you, how do they find you?

Speaker 4 (25:24):
so I will leave my socials behind.
So Instagram is the easiestthat I respond, which is
drkatylash, easiest that Irespond, which is drkatylash,
and, but I will leave my socialsbehind.
There is also landing page.
I will also leave a freebie foreveryone to explore it, where I

(25:45):
will talk.
It's a guide.
It's actually designedinitially for business people.
There are people that want tostart a business or a side
hustle, but it starts reallyexploring the.
You factor, your energeticsignature, so there are like
questions you can answer tostart to help you to explore who

(26:06):
you are and what you want tobecome, and so there's a bunch
of things there that I thinkthey are pretty useful for a lot
of people and we all would gainif we spend half an hour extra
just doing it.
And there is also a contact form.
So this page there there's alsoa contact form that people can

(26:29):
contact me and reach me.
Contact me and reach me, andI'm happy to help and to support
people around and I hope, morethan anything else, I wish that
me coming out of my shell andstarting to speak more publicly

(26:52):
helps others to see thepossibility, because if I was
able to go from severedisability to help other people,
everybody can do it.
Everybody can do it.
And I I was not born in thegolden cradle either, so it's

(27:14):
it's like there is possibility, even if there's physical
ailments, even if there's likeemotional ailments, there is a
lot of possibilities, yeah, andbelieve you can do it yes, oh
well, it was such a pleasurehaving you on.

Speaker 3 (27:34):
You guys know everything will be in the show
notes.
You can find Katie that way.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
Yeah, this was such a great episode, so thank you so
much change the world, oneperson at a time, one step at a
time, and I truly believe eachof us has immense power in

(28:01):
immense potential and immensecapability to have healing
physically, emotionally,psychologically and money wise.
And it's possible.
And we just we have to believewe can do it.
And we have start doing it, andone step at a time, and I hope

(28:21):
this goes as an inspiration formany of your listeners, as well,
I'm sure it will be all right.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
Guys, we will see you on the next episode.
As always, we would love yourfeedback.
