Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hey, they're beautiful people. This is miss Unapologetic and welcome
to the Keeping It Real Now Podcast. Oh, we have
a sizzling episode for you today. We're talking all about
the election results that have everyone buzzing. That's right. We
may not have our first black female president, but we've
got history in the making with our first convicted felon president.
(00:26):
Can you even believe it? But hold on to your seats, folks,
because we're also diving into your voting perspectives, some of
which are wild, and the upcoming changes that are about
to shake things up. And trust me, you won't want
to miss this because today's episode is going to be
as short and spicy as a tabasco infused shot of espresso.
(00:47):
So buckle up and let's get this show rolling. The
people have spoken and history has been made. We've officially
got a convicted felon as our president. I mean, wow,
just wow. Who knew running for office could come with
the sight of jail time. It's like we're living in
a reality show called Who Wants to Be a President?
(01:10):
Spoiler alert. It's a wild ride. Seriously, though, the fact
that our forty seventh elected president managed to get through
the candidate gauntlet is astonishing, especially considering that many folks
in some states can't even vote if they have a
felony conviction. Talk about irony right. Reactions have been all
(01:33):
over the place. Some folks are thrilled, others are absolutely devastated,
and then there are those who are just plain confused.
I spoke to a lot of people, and let me
tell you, it's like trying to fit a square peg
into a round hole, so many mixed emotions. Moving on
(01:53):
to our next hot topic, voting perspectives and why it's
crucial to exercise that right now, Let's get one thing straight.
If you didn't vote, you have zero, zilch, not the
rights to complain. Seriously, it's one of the most empowering
things you can do in a democracy. I had a
conversation with one person who didn't vote. They said, the
(02:15):
country isn't ready for a female president. I mean, wow,
are you kidding me? Ladies have been getting stuff done
since the dawn of time. We can multitask better than anyone,
and we can outlash a man's excuses any day of
the week. So to think that the country isn't ready
for a female president just shows how some folks are
(02:37):
stuck in the past. Voting is your voice, and if
you don't use it, you lose it. Simple as that.
All right, moving on to our next hot topic, candidate criticism. Ah, yes,
the age old pastime of griping about who's running for office.
I heard some serious complaints about the candidates this time around,
(02:59):
like pick your poison level complaints. But you know what's funny.
These complaints often come from the same people who say,
let's just see what happens after they drop a soda
on their new carpet. Totally mind blowing, right, I mean,
come on, people, you can't be nonchalant about life's little
messes and then get all up in arms about the
(03:19):
big decisions. If you think about it, running a country
is a lot like cleaning up a spill. You need
the right tools, the right attitude, and a little bit
of patience or you're just gonna make it worse. And
let's talk about the comments I heard targeting the vice president. Seriously,
can we leave that negativity at the door. It's not helpful,
(03:41):
it's not constructive, and it certainly doesn't make you look
any smarter. We're all about positivity here, and remember opinions
are like asshole. Everyone has one, and some definitely stink.
The bottom line is, let's cut the hate and focus
on what needs to be done with everything that's happening
in the world. World. We could all use a little
(04:01):
more constructive dialogue and a lot less tearing each other down.
So let's keep it real and keep it positive. Folks.
All right, beautiful people. That wraps up today's fiery episode.
As we part ways, let me just say that the
world is about to change and it's going to be
one heck of a roller coaster ride, screams, thrills, and
(04:23):
maybe even a few people losing their lunch. So buckle up,
but don't worry. We'll be here to keep you company
through every twist and turn. And if you thought today
was spicy, just wait until next week. We're diving deep
into Hollywood scandals, touching on everything from our former celebrity
turned President Trump to the potential pardon of Sean Combs. Yes,
(04:44):
you heard that right. It's gonna be juicy and you
won't want to miss it, So stay tuned and until then,
keep it real and keep it hilarious. Be sure to
check the show notes for any links or articles we
mentioned today. This is miss unapologetic signing off from keeping
it Real. Now take care and I'll catch you next week.
