Concluding John, Chapter 1, we see the calling of Philip and the urgency he has to go tell Nathanael about the Messiah. If we are truly Christ followers, this same drive must be what we have today! We’ve seen in other texts the revelation that Jesus will return to take His Church home, and we rejoice at it. But, if we are not being obedient and instead rejoicing in our sin, how can we expect to be with Him? The simple truth here is that God owes us nothing (except wrath for our sin), and so our lives should be lived in obedience to move when He says, "Come, follow me".
