Notes and corrections from this week’s episode:
* On the show we wondered about MLB All-Star uniforms. We were right to be unsure: as of last fall, MLB announced that players would return to wearing their own team’s uniforms for the All-Star Game. However, there still will be All-Star Game-themed jerseys as well. Players will wear these during their workouts and the Home Run Derby.
Because of course they will. MLB gotta make that money.
* Also, from the 1880s all the way until 1969, the World Series was the only playoff round in MLB. Then, from 1969 until 1993, they had two rounds. There have been many bastardizations since then….because again, money.
* Minnesota: Over 21,000 lakes.
* Wisconsin: More than 15,000 lakes.
* Henny was indeed referring to the Bahamas’ 50th anniversary of independence. This took place in July of ‘23.
* 2024 women’s hot dog eating contest: Travis was right (shocker!), the last-place finisher only consumed 5.25 hot dogs. Ladies - get eating!!!
Have a great holiday friends!!
Throw an email address in here and maybe Travis will sign-up for next year’s Nathan’s contest…..
