Prayer, like the wordless cry of a young boy in the desert, Certain he will die of thirst in the unrelenting heat, Unsure of where help would from come. Prayer, whether boldly loud or in wordless cries, evokes a response from Abba. We think prayer, carefully crafted words or animated, passionate appeals. We equate prayer, its depth and value to sounds loud, with fervent looks. In truth, prayer isn’t prayer because we shout and scream? Prayer is prayer because our hearts reaches out to God, Prayer is prayer because, in sighs, in groans or in the tears we shed ,our hearts reaches out to God . Prayer is not only like Elijah’s;deliberate and loud, Sometime it’s like Hagar and Ishmael’s; in tears and unspoken anguish.
