episode. Today we're focusing on one of
(01:25):
the most profound and liberatingsteps in manifesting your
dreams, trusting and letting go.As I mentioned in my overview
episode, this is the hardest step for me because as a type A
person, giving up control is very challenging.
But today we're going to learn what letting go and trusting the
universe means and how it can bring your manifested dreams
(01:49):
into existence. And manifesting trust means
having faith that what you desire is already making its way
to you, even if you don't see ityet.
While letting go means releasingthe need to control every detail
of how and when it will come to you.
This step can feel challenging, especially for high achieving,
Type A goal oriented people who are used to planning every
(02:13):
single detail. But today we're going to explore
why releasing control is not only essential but also deeply
empowering. We'll discuss the philosophy
behind trust, share practical exercises to cultivate it,
address common obstacles, and close with a guided meditation
to help you embody this transformative energy.
So get comfortable, take a few deep breaths, and let's begin
(02:37):
our journey and to trust and letgo.
So I want to start by understanding what trusting and
letting go really mean in the context of manifesting.
At its core, trusting is about surrendering to the process,
acknowledging that the universe is working in your favor even
when the details aren't yet visible.
(02:57):
Letting go, on the other hand, is about releasing the need to
micromanage outcomes or cling toa specific timeline.
Think of trust as the belief that the universe or the natural
order of things, is always aligning to support you.
It's like planting a seed and having faith that with proper
care, it will sprout, even if you can't see the roots growing
(03:19):
underground. Holding on too tightly to a
desired outcome can create resistance.
When you let go, you free yourself from the anxiety of
when or how things will happen, allowing space for the
unexpected and often more beautiful manifestations to
occur. When you trust and let go, you
align with the natural flow of life.
(03:40):
Your energy shifts from a state of worry or desperation to one
of common and receptive confidence, which is far more
magnetic to your desires. Research shows that when you
trust in a positive outcome, your brain reduces stress and
creates a more resilient mindset.
This not only makes you feel better, but it also primes your
(04:02):
mind to recognize opportunities that align with your goals.
In my overview episode, I talkedabout the example of if I tell
you to look for all the red things, and then I asked you to
show me all the blue things and you have no idea where the blue
things are because you were too focused on the red things.
That's the idea here is when youtrust and let go and don't focus
(04:24):
on a specific path or a specificwhen or a specific how, you open
yourself up for endless possibilities and opportunities.
And it is often, if not always, those opportunities and
possibilities that align more closely with what you're
manifesting. Many ancient traditions
(04:44):
emphasize surrender as a path totransformation.
Whether it's the Taoist principle of will we meaning
effortless action, or the surrender found in various
spiritual practices, letting go is seen as a crucial element of
living and harmony with the universe.
So now that we've covered the essence of trusting and letting
go, let's look at some practicalstrategies to help you cultivate
(05:07):
these qualities in your everydaylife.
So begin your day by affirming your trust.
In the process, stand in front of a mirror and say aloud, I
trust that the universe is aligning my desires perfectly.
I release my need to control, and I welcome abundance with
open arms. Repeat this several times with
feeling. These affirmations help rewire
(05:30):
your subconscious mind to embrace trust and ease.
You can write these affirmationson sticky notes and place them
where you'll see them throughoutthe day, a constant reminder
that you're on the right path. You can also set aside 10
minutes in the evening to journal about your day.
Focus on moments when you felt anxious or tried to control
outcomes, and then write about how you could have approached
(05:53):
those moments with trust. Ask yourself, what can I release
tonight that will allow me to embrace tomorrow with more ease?
An example here is I once journaled about a project at
work that didn't go as planned. Instead of dwelling on the set
back, I noted what I learned andhow I could use that lesson
moving forward. This shift in perspective helped
(06:14):
me let go of disappointment and open up to new possibilities.
You can also incorporate mindfulness practices into your
day. Try a simple breath work
exercise. Inhale deeply for a count of
four, hold for four, and exhale for four.
This box breathing technique helps calm the mind and brings
you back to the present moment where trust naturally resides.
(06:38):
Here you could use a mindfulnessapp or set a timer to remind you
to take these mindful breaks throughout the day.
They help you release tension and reconnect with your inner
calm. But even with these practices,
there are common obstacles that can make it hard to trust and
let go. So we're going to look at a few
of those and explore strategies to overcome them.
(07:00):
One of the biggest barriers is fear.
Fear of uncertainty, failure, orsimply the unknown.
This fear can make us cling tightly to familiar patterns,
even if they're not serving us. We need to shift our
perspective. View uncertainty as a space for
endless possibility rather than a void of potential failure.
(07:21):
Remember that every moment of uncertainty is also an
opportunity for growth and new beginnings.
When you're used to planning every detail, the idea of
letting go can feel like losing control.
Reframe Perfection is a journey rather than a destination.
Embrace the idea that every small misstep is a part of the
(07:42):
learning process. Instead of fixating on the
outcome, focus on the process and celebrate every step
forward, no matter how small. Negative self talk can also
sabotage trust thoughts like I don't deserve this or I'll never
get it right. Create a mental barrier that
blocks your manifesting energy. Just like we know with the law
(08:04):
of attraction, like attracts like and so negative energy is
only going to attract more negative energy, which isn't
what we want. When you notice thoughts like
this, consciously counter them with positive affirmations.
Use techniques like near work oreven speaking with a friend or
coach to challenge these limiting internal narratives
because they're probably not true.
(08:25):
Over time, with consistent practice, you'll start to shift
your mindset towards one of self, compassion and trust.
So let's bring these concepts together with some examples and
personal collections that illustrate the power of trusting
and letting go. I recently read about a driven
entrepreneur who was terrified of taking risks in her business.
(08:46):
She had a brilliant idea but wasparalyzed by fear of failure.
So she started some daily affirmations and some
mindfulness practices, and she gradually learned to trust the
process. When she finally took a leap of
faith, launching her product line, she was amazed to find
that even setbacks provided valuable lessons.
(09:06):
Her business evolved into a thriving enterprise, not in
spite of her uncertainties, but because she learned to embrace
them. Another person I recently read
about a dedicated professional balancing family and career.
She often felt overwhelmed by the need to control every aspect
of her life. Through journaling and guided
meditation, she began to see that releasing control allowed
(09:29):
her to experience life more fully and she wasn't so focused
on all of the little details. She actually had time to embrace
life and enjoy her family and enjoy her career.
By trusting that each day would bring its own opportunities and
challenges, she found a new level of peace and creativity in
her work and personal life. As we know, everything thing
(09:50):
happens for a reason. We can only control what we can
control and of course things outof our control are going to
happen. But if we reframe our mindset to
look at each day as a new opportunity and that challenges
will come up, you will find so much peace in that.
Then trying to be overly controlling or micromanage
outcomes. The end goal here is to trust
(10:14):
and surrender and to believe andknow that the universe has your
back and everything is unfoldingexactly the way that it should
and exactly the right time and in exactly the right way that
it's supposed to. So I want you to take a moment
to reflect on your own journey. Think about a time when you let
go of control, perhaps when you trusted your intuition to make a
(10:35):
decision and how that experienceopened up unexpected
possibilities. These moments are reminders that
when you release, you make room for growth, transformation, and
abundance. Now let's solidify all these
insights with a guided meditation designed to help you
release resistance and fully embrace trust.
Find a quiet, comfortable space, close your eyes, and let's
(10:58):
begin. Start by taking a deep, slow
breath in and exhale completely, letting go of any tension in
your body. With each subsequent breath,
allow yourself to sink deeper into a state of relaxation and
openness. Visualize yourself standing in a
(11:18):
peaceful clearing at dawn. The air is cool and a gentle
mist surrounds you. In front of you lies a small,
weathered backpack. This backpack represents all the
limiting beliefs, fears, and theneed for control that you've
been sharing. Now imagine slowly unzipping the
(11:39):
backpack, 1 by 1. See each item, each fear, each
doubt being lifted out and released into the soft warning
air. With every item you let go, feel
a sense of lightness and relief washing over you.
As the backpack becomes lighter, visualize a warm radiant light
(12:00):
emerging from within you, filling the space where those
old burdens once resided. This light represents your new
found trust and freedom. Silently affirm, I trust the
process. I release what no longer served
me. I am open to the infinite
(12:22):
possibilities of life. Allow this visualization to fill
your heart and mind. With each breath, let that light
expand, enveloping you in a cocoon of trust and peace.
Stay here for a few moments, fully immersed in the feeling of
(12:43):
release and empowerment. When you're ready, slowly bring
your awareness back to the present.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes, take one final deep
breath, and open your eyes, carrying this profound sense of
trust with you. Thank you for joining me on this
(13:04):
deep exploration of trust and letting go the fifth step in
manifesting your dreams. Today we've unpacked what it
means to truly surrender control, learned practical
strategies to overcome fear and self doubt, and experienced A
guided meditation to help clear the path for new energy to flow
into your life. Remember, trust is not about
(13:26):
passivity. It's an active, empowering
choice to believe that the universe is constantly working
in your favor. Every time you let go of what no
longer serves you, you make roomfor miracles and new
opportunities. If today's episode stirred
something in you, my courses areopen for enrollment and ready to
