Some stories make headlines. Others get ignored. On "Unreported," Meagan Medick takes a deeper look at the unexplained through the eyes and experiences of you, the viewers. You send the mystery — we investigate. This week, Meagan digs into a former Playboy Playmate's allegations that Hugh Hefner reported Jeffrey Epstein to the FBI after learning she was being assaulted and trafficked — and wonders why nothing happened. Joining Medick is Tracy Walder, a former FBI special agent and CIA officer.
They discuss how Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell may have sourced and sold information on women to traffic them, why an FBI tip like Hefner's should count as evidence of a crime rather than something agents can simply ignore, whether Epstein could have been protected as a valuable intelligence asset and why the lingering government secrecy around the Epstein files continues to erode public trust. "It's not like this far-off conspiracy theory... in real life, that happens," Walder says.
