The United Way in the Sacramento region is helping families and individuals who struggle at tax time with some FREE tax preparation services. With over 50 offices in the area United Way volunteers are ready to assist taxpayers get their taxes done correctly and on time. United Way California Capital Region’s Financial Stability Program Officer, Amy Williamson, joins us in studio to highlight this Free service. AND Research has shown that two out of three 4th graders in the U-S aren't reading at grade level. United Way’s President and CEO, Stephanie Bray, discusses their Literacy Tutor Program and how seniors with a one school year commitment helping out two to three hours a day, two days a week, can make a huge impact in a child’s chances for success in life
