Megan Morrone and Iain Thompson from The Register discuss a new feature from popular language learning app Duolingo. The company knows that the more you're afraid of looking stupid speaking a foreign language, the less likely you are to learn one. Duolingo has tried to use technology to pair people up with native speakers to help them learn, but some people are still afraid to talk to other people...even strangers. You know who people are not afraid to talk to? Robots. So Duolingo is using Chatbots to help overcome our fear of speaking to other people in a language we're still learning.
