Speaker 1 (00:00):
Our sister's station, KGB's Clint August. He's joining us right now, okay,
because he's kind of behind this effort this weekend to
support our military members. So Clint joined us now on
the Cogo News lifeline.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Hey Clint, Hey Clint, how are you doing it? Thanks
for having me on. It's been kind of.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Kooky this morning, but we're always glad to talk to you.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Uh oh.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
The only reason we're glad to talk to you is
because you powered us up with your coffee that you supply.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Oh my gosh. Before we get into the event you're
having this weekend, you know, we want to give you
a shout out because you provide the company. Your company
provides the coffee for this company and we love it.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Oh, it's so good. He just made my day. We
can just talk about that forget it.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
No, no, because we need to really honor our military
members and support them and ever we can, especially given
the day's news, what's going on this weekend. How can
people really help support our military members and how are
you participating? Well?
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Okay, so this is the twenty fourth annual May Ride
and it is for the Armed Services YMCA right here
in San Diego helps with our military members with clinical
counseling and camps for kids while they're away, and even
groceries day to day needs, and that's why we work
with the Armed Services YMCA, so that's what's benefiting. You
can go to may ride dot com to preregister early,
(01:24):
but I want to stay upfront. You don't have to
ride at all to be a part of this event.
If you want to drive a car on the route
that we've made, the fifty mile route, you can do that.
If you just want to come to the after party
at BNS Burring and the Stilling. But you can help
by either donating at may ride dot com, showing up
and donating, or just being there to show our heroes
and their families that we love them. And we're going
to start at Saddano Chevrolet this Saturday morning, eight to
(01:47):
ten am, right there on Mission Gorge Road in Santee,
and you can register on site if you'd like to.
It's twenty bucks per rider, ten per passenger. If you've
ever served or you're currently serving retired DD two fourteen,
it doesn't matter. Ten dollars and the first one hundred
registered riders get a free breakfast Brito and coffee from
Santee Coffee Corner, and then the first two one hundred
(02:08):
and fifty registered riders will get a free lunch. Now
we're gonna have delish dogs there, and of course you
know BNS Brewery and Distilling, where we're gonna wind up
after the ride is We've got raffle items. The classic
rock band's going to be playing for a few hours.
We've got Lasting Impressions selling may Ride shirts for your
commemorative shirt for the event, and it's all to help
(02:30):
our military families here in San Diego. We're gonna have
some vendors, and there's also two other events. You guys,
I don't even know if you know this. There's two
other events that I wasn't even aware of, actually three
until after we booked the event at BNS Brewing and
the stilling, And it's by the old Sante driving off
the sixty seven Freeway and Santi So there's if it
rolls bring it on the other side of the brewery
(02:50):
facing the sixty seven Freeway with motorcycle stunts, e bike stunts, vendors,
and that's happening while our after party's happening. And then
you've got alcohol. Harley's Bike Night six to nine the
same location, and Dino's Pub decided, Hey, let's have a
bicycle pub crawl and wind up a DNS Brewing and distilling.
You know the parties.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Clint, I'm thinking, Okay, so you're starting with coffee and
breakfast burritos, You're doing a beautiful ride through San Diego,
You're ending up at breweries, you're helping the military. I'm thinking,
Brett and I need to figure out how do we
get a motorcycle?
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Thank you. I'll tell you this if you I guarantee
if you two wanted to ride, I could find you
a ride. And if I have to get a sidecar
next year to get you in one, I'll do it.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
I love it. It'll be my midlife crisis. Fine a bike,
I love it.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Clint Again, Where should people show up? If they want
to participate in this or just come out to support
you guys?
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Okay, please mayride dot com. You can go there now
and then you can show up morning of this Saturday morning,
May sixteenth, Arm Forces Day at Saddano Chevrolet Santi on
Mission Gorge Road. And then if not there, if not
the ride, then we're also going to be hanging out
from about noon to three at BNS Brewing and Distilling
right by the old Santee Drive. And it's going to
(04:07):
be a good time whether you're right or not. And
it is family friendly, all right.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Thank you, Clint Clinn, thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Thank you guys. What are you thanking me for?
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Well, you can pass in coffee, he taels every day.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
