Dayna Isom Johnson Etsy's Protecting The Environment

On February 27, Etsy will announce an important step in the fight against climate change by becoming the first major online shopping destination to offset 100 percent of emissions from shipping in its marketplace. To celebrate this important milestone, Etsy will offset shipping emissions for the entire US ecommerce industry for one day on February 28. Every day, in the US alone, e-commerce packages travel about the same distance as going to the moon and back 133,000 times. Offsetting this is the equivalent to protecting 100 square miles of forests for one year (more than four times the size of Manhattan).
Etsy Trend Expert, Dayna Isom Johnson – who’s also a judge on the hit NBC-TV craft competition series Making It hosted by Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman (already renewed for a second season) – is available to discuss how to shop with mother earth in mind. Whether it’s tips for how to shop “green,” understanding where and how your product was made, or finding products that support a green lifestyle, Dayna can let listeners know how they can shop with a clean conscience and support sustainability.
