The Ruger Sfaar is one of thetrim's three eight modern sporting rifles available more
power but lighter in the field andrange. See how light it is at
Ruger dot com. Hey, welcometo gun Talk. I am Tom Gresham,
so glad that you could be herewith us today. It is going
to be a great show. Ofcourse, we all watched, well,
I think we all watched the RepublicanConvention this week and it was quite the

(00:25):
show, an amazing thing. Wehave a lot of people to talk to
today and will of course be takingyour calls if you want to join us.
It's eight six six Talk Gun.We are looking for those range reports
if you've been out doing those shooting, or you got a new gun,
or you just want to share astory. That's all we do. We
gather around the digital campfire here andshoot the breeze. The reality of it

(00:46):
is, people say, well, what do you guys do there? We
just talk. We're just shooting thebreeze, you know, and sometimes we
talk about news, and a lotof times we talk about nothing much at
all, and it's all fun.Okay. We call it gun Talk because
it's all about guns and guns safelyand responsibly. We're the good guys and
gals that you don't hear much aboutin the news. All right, You

(01:07):
probably, like all of us,watched some and maybe like me, watched
all of the Republican National Convention thisweek. It was an amazing show.
Of course, coming right on theheels of the assassination attempt President Trump.
Well, how lucky are we thatwe have somebody who was actually there,
and not only that has an insidetrack on JD. Vance, the new

(01:32):
Vice president. Your candidate, AmandaSuffocol is an engineer. She is the
host of I on the Target Radio. She is the director of the NRA.
She is a firearms instructor. Amana, I don't know how in the
world you get to do all thestuff you're doing and still get any sleep.
Well I'm not sure about sleep thisweek. But let me add one
more thing to that list of things. She was where I swear my business

(01:56):
card just needs to say and thenright, because I am also the county
chairman for the Republican Party in mycounty and I just got elected to the
State Central Committee, so I'm partof the OARP, so the Ohio Republican
Party, and it was wearing thathat that I was actually on the floor

(02:17):
of the Republican or yeah, sothe Republican National Convention. So in the
middle when you saw the the justthe the push of people that was down
on the floor screaming till I haveabsolutely no voice left, right like it
sounded like Froggy from you know,we're little assholes right about now? You

(02:38):
know what? That was amazing,But you're still smiling, and I love
that it must have been. Imean, it was a fabulous to watch
it. What was it like beingon the floor there? The drive,
the motivation and the energy. We'llstart with I'm a woman of a certain
age, which means I have acertain bedtime, right, and so I

(02:58):
went to a different time zone thatis later than mine, and I was
getting back to my room at twoo'clock, two thirty three o'clock in the
morning, and then back up forsome kind of an educational communication breakfast at
eight trying to look human, right, it was, and day after day,
but it was amazing. I wouldn'ttrade it for anything. Okay,

(03:22):
Also, we should tell people you'refrom Ohio. Jd Vance is from Ohio.
You got the outside track tell usabout him? So let me just
tell you a little bit about JD. Well One for gun people. He
is amazing and he's solid on theSecond Amendment. So he has been so
solid on the Second Amendment that hecalled for the defunding of the ATF that

(03:43):
when I am part of Women forGun Rights, the DC Project, Diana
Moeller Group, so we go toDC every year and when we go,
we're welcomed into his office and hesays, I am behind you, ladies,
one hundred percent. What can Ido? How can I help?
So that's the JD. Vance. But if you want to know more about
him, go listen to watch themovie or read the book. He'll Billy

(04:08):
Elegy as I understand it, heis now completely sold out and they are
reordering. But he is from likeevery town America and they say Appellation America,
but we all have neighbors who whohave families that are not necessarily completely
put together, that they've got struggles, they've got strife. And he has
shown how he has climbed the ladderthe American dream, using the Marines,

(04:32):
so using the American military and goingto college on that GI bill. He
is just absolutely solid and we areso lucky. I mean, we all
know that Donald Trump is not necessarilyhe's gone neutral at best, and he
stumbles over himself because he just doesn'tget it. So having a second having
a guy standing beside him that getsus is so important to the Second Amendment.

(04:56):
You know, I was going toask you about that because the Republicans
took stuff gun rights out of theplatform, and I've been trying to tell
people, Look, it doesn't reallymatter what's in the platform other than the
fact that probably did it, becausewhy would you want to wave the red
flag when you're trying to bring insome additional people from the outside or from
the middle. But and you're right, you know, Donald Trump as to

(05:18):
say, probably somewhere in the neutraljust slightly good. Now you've got the
influence of Don Junior and Eric whoare are shooters, which is good.
But having JD there. So Iwas going to say, you know,
look, and I gather there wasa like a side meeting about guns and
gun rights at the convention. Sothere was, and the side part,

(05:40):
the side part was that side meetingtook place at exactly the same time when
the delegates were required to be onthe floor to vote for Donald Trump.
No, what terrible timing. Youtalk about being conflicted because I'm like,
my chairman is saying, you needto be on the floor, and Jim
Jordan is going, you are missingthe best event of the week and how

(06:06):
you know, Yeah, there needsto be two of me. Right.
That was great. So you're feelingpretty good at this point about JD about
the Republicans, and about what canpossibly happen in terms of gun rights after
Trump gets elected. Well, Ithink between the fact that he picked JD.

(06:26):
Vance, I want to go backto the platform for a second.
The platform part of it was isthey took it from I think it was
sixty four pages down to sixteen pages. So they stripped out everything and they
were like, we don't need totalk pages about something, we just need
to state it. And so theystated keeping bear arms. We stand with
the Bill of Rights and keeping beararms. So it actually got twice listed

(06:49):
when so many things just got strippedclear out. Okay, So so I'm
not sure they necessarily pulled it out. They pulled everything out. You put
back in what they needed to putin. But okay, So so back
to where we stand. You know, we now have JD. Vance there,
and I firmly believe that the RepublicanParty is going to their candidates are

(07:14):
going to persevere, They're going towin, And frankly, I believe that
everybody ought to vote clear down theRepublican ticket to give them the support so
that we get we stop getting activistjudges, you know, all of that
kind of stuff. So when youlook at that, and then you look
at what's happening at the Supreme Courtlevel, which is another reason why I
think gun people need to register, they need to vote, because somebody is

(07:34):
going to pick two more Supreme Courtcandidates, I believe, in the next
four years. So all of thatmatters to us. But when you look
at that, you look at Bruin, you look at Loper Bright, they
just came through. We are winningall over the place, and we are
setting up all of the you know, the whole game for the game of

(07:55):
chess, for us to be ableto say checkmate. Second Amendment is back
on the table and solidly well. And then of course, if you get
Trump and vance in, you've gotnot just four years, but maybe eight
years, maybe twelve years, right, and at that point, if you
are selecting, if they're selecting SupremeCourt justices and federal judges. You get

(08:18):
eight or twelve years of that andit is game over. I'm so glad
to have you here, given thereport that basically what happened on the flour
and you know how it works becauseyou do exactly this, and we're going
to run out of time. Tellthem about what you do, Tell about
the radio show, tell them whatyou're up to. Okay, Well,
so, Tom, I'm so gratefulthat you allowed me to be on.

(08:41):
But I too have a nationally syndicatedradio show, I on the Target Radio
and I am the only female thatis the Second Amendment nationally syndicated radio host.
Cool. I talk politics as itapplies to guns, and I talk
guns kind of in every different manner. So check it out. Listen to
the Time show and then find mine. There you go. You're also a
firearms instructor. You are a bigpart of Women for Gun Rights Forming Owners,

(09:05):
the DC Project, and obviously youare very involved in politics, not
sitting on the side, actually gettingin the middle of it. Oh yeah,
and I was definitely in the middle, and there was a whole lot
of pushing and showing us. Well, look, thank you so much.
Congratulations on the fabulous convention and don'tbe a stranger around here. Okay,
okay, thanks thanks for having meabsolutely all right, eight six y six

(11:50):
Just as we were doing this lastinterviews, last segment live right now,
Joe Biden is announced that he isdropping out of the race. Yeah,
this is not a joke or youknow some god a spoof deal. This
is real. You can go checkit out online right now. President Joe
Biden has announced that he is infact out of the race. We knew
it was coming when he had hispreviously scheduled COVID exit or I think schedule

(12:16):
for him by someone else. Sowhat does that mean, Well, we
don't really know exactly. I mean, is that Kama Harris the vice president.
A lot of people like to makefun of that and say, well,
no, she can't possibly win.It can't possibly be heard, but
you know, it could possibly beher if she could possibly win. Actually,

(12:43):
anybody could possibly win because there area lot of weeks between now and
the election, and a lot ofthings can happen. We've had crazy stuff
happened, like oh, yeah, somebody shot Donald Trump. Yeah, that
would be a crazy thing. SoWhitberg, Gretch Whitmer. Maybe Gavin Newsom
of course is at the top ofthe list, which I don't know how

(13:05):
I missed this, and I likethe last person in America to know this.
I never realized that he is relatedto Nancy Pelosi. I mean,
it makes perfect sense, but forsome reason I never got that piece of
information. Maybe I just didn't careenough to look into it. So Gavin
Newsom, Governor of California's possibility,Kamala Harris Reretchen Whitmer Michelle Obama, here's

(13:33):
the thing for us to think about. As bad as Joe Biden is on
guns, all of them are worse. Every single one of them is worse
on gun rights in the Second Amendmentand the Bill of Rights than Joe Biden.

(13:54):
He's a go along, get along. I need to pay off the
gun ban people who support to bethey are the true believers, and we
must ban guns and take guns awayfrom legal, lawful, responsible gun owners
because they're just like children and theycan't be trusted. So I think a

(14:16):
lot of what's going on right nowis there's I mean, you got to
know, there's solid sorts of backroomdeals be put together and crazy stuff going
on. But in terms of thoseof us who we call it gun vote,
we vote on this issue. Andyou know me, I'm a second
amend of voter. And while Ido have opinions on other issues, I

(14:39):
don't vote on the basis of otherissues. All I need to know about
a candidate is where he or shefalls on restricting or not restricting lawful citizens
from having guns for their own selfprotection. And if you are a banner
of any guns, you are agun If you say, well, I

(15:01):
don't want to ban all guns.I just want to ban Oh the ugly
ones, are the ones that toofast, are the ones that are weapons
of war. Yeah, now you'rea gun banner because the only reason you
want to do that is because youknow that's the one you might be able
to get away with. In fact, that we know that you want to

(15:24):
get them all because you often sayit, but you know you can't.
So you take off a little sliverand we will. The idea is we
the gun banners, will convince thepublic that these are exceptionally dangerous. No
one need such a firearm. Likeit's up to the government tell us what
we need, right, especially whenit comes to guaranteed constitutional rights. So

(15:50):
they're all going to be horrible onguns, which of course speeds us up
to what just happened as a Republicanconvention. JD. Vance and I like
it with Amanda Sufphagal a little bit. Ago is saying, you know,
Trump's kind of neutral on guns.I think that's probably a good realistic way

(16:11):
to put it. He's not reallystrong on gun rights. We know that
he is very good on Supreme Courtjustices and the judges, and for me,
that is everything. But JD.Vance is much stronger on gun rights
than Donald Trump is, and Ithink his influence will be felt there now.

(16:34):
And I made this a point whileas talking to Amanda. If we
get Trump in for four years andthen possibly it's I don't know if it's
likely, it's possible, more possiblethan not, that we get JD.
Vance in as president for eight years. After that, you've got twelve years

(16:56):
of Trump and JD. Vance. You have a chance replace half the Supreme
Court, maybe more than half, probably half the federal judges sitting on the
bench. That is a twenty yearimpact, a thirty year impact. Perhaps

(17:18):
that's a game changer beyond all imagination. And I guess where we are as
of this moment. This news justcame out that Joe Biden President Joe Biden
has an announced he's not going torun for re election, and we're all
going what now, nobody knows what? Well, No, that's not true.
There are a few power brokers inthe Democratic Party who know they have

(17:45):
decided who is the anointed one,who is going to be the candidate,
no matter what the delegates decide.I mean, come on, they just
threw out all the delegates. Theyjust threw out the whole democratic process of
them voting for a candidate. Theyjust said, look, Joe can't win.
We got to have somebody else.We don't care that you all went
through the process. We don't carethat you're all voted for him, we

(18:07):
don't care that you're all committed tovote for him on the first ballot.
We're going to make a change andwe're going to force him out and force
him to say he's not going torun. You know how this all started,
right, the great charade fell apart, the great charade of he's fine.

(18:27):
He is energetic and active and brightbehind closed doors. It's only when
he gets out in front of thepublic because he a bumbling idiot. Really
well, that was the message, and they kept telling us, no,
no, no, When you seehim falling on the stairs, and you
see Hi mumbling words, and yousee him, you know, get people's
names wrong, and on and onand on, that's not the real Joe

(18:51):
Biden. The real Joe Biden isstrong and vibrant and energetic and smart,
you know, and decisive. Exceptthat once we got to see him live
in the debate against Donald Trump, the camera fell away the charade fell apart.
We all got to see him theway he is, and no amount

(19:15):
of splaining was going to fix that. No amount of denying was going to
make us forget what we saw withour own eyes. That was the beginning
of the end, because they wereactually able at that point, up to
that point to get away with thegreat lie, but only because the pr

(19:37):
Department of the Democrat Party, alsoknown as the mainstream media, was carrying
the water for them and kept ignoringthe Biden. They called him gas now
it was either earlier or mid leveldementia of some sort, whether it's Alzheimer's

(19:57):
or dementia or Arkinson's or something. He is greatly debilitated, and the media
covered for that. They were accomplicesin that. And one of the interesting
things for me to watch, beinga watcher of the media, member of
the media, was once Biden gotexposed to who else got exposed the media,

(20:22):
They got exposed for the lie. They knew this, They've known this
for months, They've watched this progression. They see it more than the rest
of us do because they have access. Oh that's an interesting word. Access.
That is what they were really protecting. They weren't really protecting Joe Biden.
They were protecting their access to power. As long as they've carried the

(20:48):
message, as long as they supportedthe narrative, they continue to have access
to Biden and the power makers, and that made them powerful by extension.
When that fell away all of asudden, it was like, oh wow,
we have been covering for this guy. We just got caught and they
flipped on him so severely he wouldgive you whiplash or he must go.

(21:14):
Can't imagine what's going on? Wheredid this come from? We never knew
this was going Yeah, you did, a bunch of liars. Holy cow.
Well they got caught. Joe gotcaught. The people running the White
House, whoever they are, gotcaught because it certainly isn't Biden. So
here we are. Joe Biden isout as a candidate. I don't know

(21:36):
how he keeps being president. Ifyou can't run for president, why should
he be president? Interesting question. We'll continue with that in just a bit.
I'll tell you when we come back. Though. Here's a crazy thing.
How about a vending machine in yourgrocery store and the vending machine sells

(21:56):
ammunition? Yeah, loaded at yourgrocery store or other stores from a vending
machine. We'll talk to the peoplewho are putting that together. What does
it mean? How do you getone near you? Eight six six talk
Gun. I'm Tom Gresham. Thisis gun y'all back with you here.

(22:18):
I'm Tom Gresham. This is gunTalk. If you want to follow me
over on Twitter now X, Iam at gun Talk. We'll be talking
about this and breaking news. JoeBiden just announced that he is not going
to run for a re election. He is dropping out of the election,
stopping his campaign. We don't knowwhat's going to happen. If it's going
to be Kamila Harris or Gretchen Whitmeror Gavin Newsom or who you know,

(22:42):
We don't know at this point.More will be forthcoming. I have some
thoughts I'll share about that as wego forward. But you know, I
got to talk about the rage. The outrage of the media, and they
have one pretty much every week whenit has to do with guns. And
although this past week got covered upwith the shooting of President Trump, and

(23:07):
I have more to talk about withthat as well. Before that, the
outrage of the week was stories poppinghere and there about a new service,
a vending machine in local stores, and the vending machine is selling and munition.
Well, how does that work?Who are the people behind it?
What's going on here? We're joiningme to describe all of this and fill

(23:30):
us in. Grant Maggers is theCEO of American Rounds. Grant, thanks
for being here. What's the storyabout this vending machine AMMO sales? Hey,
thanks for having me. I'm excitedto be on with you. So,
yeah, we started, we startedAmerican Rounds summer twenty three. We
were you know, we were kindof my partner and I were looking at

(23:53):
these this technology force in different industriesand talking to strategy partners we have in
the grocery store industry, and theycame to us and said, hey,
you know, our stores really wantto offer ammunition to their customers, and
uh you know, how how wouldthis technology work and you know, providing
that to our customers. And uhso we spent some time doing some due

(24:15):
diligence and homework on it. Well, and then we were launched. By
November twenty three, we had ourfirst machine installed. So what is the
technology we're talking about here? Well, most people you know what's being reported,
you know, most people think thatit's you know, they describe it
as a vending machine, and theyhave the you know, this impression that
it's one of the you know, you put a dollar bill in and candy
bar falls to the bottom type ofright. But you know that's that's not

(24:38):
what these are. These are,you know, they're double walls steel,
they're about uh with you know, with m O and they're about two thousand
pounds. And so you know whatwe have is we have you know,
the touch screen. You go upto the touch screen in the store and
you make your selection. We haverifle, shotguns, uh distal rounds,
whatever your flavor is. And thenonce you uh uh you know, select,

(25:00):
you go to check out the cartand it's going to check you know,
it's going to just verify that yourID is going to verify that you're
old enough to purchase, that yourIDs are legit one, not expired,
not a not a fake ID,and then it does a facial recognition scan
to match you to the picture onthe I D. So you know,
we know the person is who theysay they are and that they're buying and

(25:22):
it's not someone who's you know, took a kid who stole their parents ID
or something like that, and uhand then you know, once all that's
verified, they can complete the transaction. It expenses their selections and they're you
know, they're on their way.The whole process takes, you know,
takes a minute tops. Just youknow, once you're familiar with the machine,
what kind of am mode you have. So we're carrying you know,

(25:42):
we carry everything. So we carrythingfrom twenty two to three hundred blackout and
we're getting ready to install, renting, ready to uh update the inventory more
too, more three o eight andtwo seventy and you know, getting ready
for for deer season coming up.We've got you know, everything and handgun

(26:04):
nine millimeters, thirty special, fortyfive, forty calven, you name it,
we've got. We've got bunch. We've got a twelve gauge buck and
sluggers in there and so, youknow, just whatever. Again, we
try to carry a wide variety. It's all the major brands that most people
are familiar with. You know,it's Longman and Cci. That's a lot
of iniratory to have in a machinebecause I mean I think about a gun
store they would have like maybe youknow, fifteen or twenty different types of

(26:29):
nine milimeter AMMO with different bullet weightsand different bullet designs. Is this all
like practice ammo primarily? No,we have self desense rounds in there,
so we've got yeah, so we'vegot I mean, we'll carry we'll carry
two or three different uh three differenttypes of like you know, nine millimeters
for instance. You know, wehave target we target rounds, we have
hal of points, we have youknow, you know, various grains.

(26:53):
So you know, we try towe try to say price competitive. Everything's
plus or minus five percent. You'dfind any with any other retailer. So
what kind of reaction have you gottenfrom the media on this, Well,
I mean, you know, it'sbeen it's been a little mixed. Uh.
I mean, as you might, you might suspect immediately they've they've they
they they try to make it soundlike, you know, we're we're giving

(27:18):
it out like candy or something, and you know, every school kid in
America is going to reach, youknow, get it. But you know,
as I explained to them, youknow, we're really we're the safest,
we're the safest form of ammunition salesin the country. We're the only
we're the only company that can saythat an identification is verified at every transaction.
Now, how do you don't do? How does that work? If

(27:38):
I put you don't like to scanmy driver's license? How does this work?
Yeah? So you just there's ana scanner built into the machine.
You just sought. You just slideyour idea in there. It it just
it scans, It takes a matterof seconds, gives it back to you
and uh, it'll verify that thatidea is legitimate, and then you know

(27:59):
you're a Then you just take justtake real quick and you're done. How
does it verify the legitimate? Well, it's it's the same it's the same
tech that the TSA uses at theairports, you know. So it's it
has it gets it gets uploaded. You know, like so when new driver's
licenses come out in New States thatday, that database gets uploaded in terms
of you know, the water marks, the various things that are on I

(28:22):
D things get uploaded to the machine. So and it's true that you know,
once in a while, like forinstance, I wanted my partner he
got one of the very new,the brand new Texas ones, and you
know he went and it you know, it had an updated to the uh
the latest texts when it had justcome out, and it you know,
took it. It took it abouta week before it updated, and he
went up there and rejected his idea. We had a good laugh about that.

(28:48):
I mean, it's it doesn't youknow. It does a really good
job of keeping up. And withina week it was you know, updated,
and it was all it was allgood. But you know, so
the thing we don't do. Ithink that most people, you know,
particularly guys that you know are youknow, we're we're a huge two A
supporters, you know, and andwe do not store that information. So
like you know, nobody's ideas stored. Their facial recognition isn't stored. It

(29:10):
doesn't get shared anywhere, you know, we don't. We couldn't share or
sell it because it didn't get stored. It's clearly just for the point of
tran it's just just for the verificationof the idea, and that's it,
just to make sure the transactions werejudgment. How many machines do you have
out? How many stores are isit in now? So we're in uh,
we've got six active machines right nowoperating and with two more this month

(29:33):
on the way. So we've gotright now, we're in pel City,
Alabama. We're in four towns upin Oklahoma, Canyon Lake, Texas we're
at, and another one in thatCanyon Lake area here in a couple of
weeks, and uh, we're installingone next week up in Colorado. Yeah.
So we're we're going to be inthe four states, and we've got

(29:55):
requests in almost every state in thecountry. Are they going into ajust groceries
stores or other places? Well,we're looking, we're looking at other places.

right now, I'm online Biden dropsout of twenty twenty four race, endorses

(33:50):
Vice President Kamala Harris. It seemsto me that Democrats have boxed themselves in
on this. If they don't putKamala Harrison as the candidate, have they
stepped over her as the first womanpresident, as a black woman president,

(34:14):
all these dei things that they push. If they shove her out of the
way because they think she can't win, what does that say about them?
Well, I mean, we knowwhat it says. They'll do anything for
the power to keep the power. So here's the other part of it.
Does she become president before the electionor even at Okay, this would be

(34:39):
weird, wouldn't it. What ifshe's not the candidate, someone else gets
elected on the Democratic side, oreven if Trump gets elected and then Biden
resigns, she suddenly becomes the firstwoman president, but only for a month
or two. And Jim and Iwere just talking to the break, this

(35:00):
has got to be the most interestingelection in our lifetime, maybe the most
interesting election ever. It is soweird, so bizarre. Let's just let's
go talk to Jerry online five outof Arkansas. Hey, Jerry, you're
on Gun Talk. What's on yourmind? Sir? Well, thanks for
taking my call. I saw anarticle in the New York Post a couple

(35:23):
of weeks ago, and they saidthat there's over two million hunters and gun
owners that are not registered to vote. Oh I don't think that's right.
I think the number is much higherthan that. Oh okay, okay,
Well, we need to let everybodyknow they need to register to vote,

(35:45):
because you know, the Democrats aregoing to try and Jerry rigged for results
with dropboxes and all that other.Well, I think you're right, and
the best way to guard against thator to defeat, that is, to
have such an overwhelming vote for DonaldTrump that it just can't be jeury rigged

(36:08):
and can't be fixed. And toyour point, and I think you're exactly
on point, is that we haveso many gun owners, so many hunters
who are not only do they notvote often or not even registered to vote.
And of course, I mean evenif you're registered to vote, if
you don't vote, it's the samething. It means you're just sitting on
your butt and letting everybody else dothe work for you. And is that

(36:30):
an image you want for yourself? So yeah, I go along with Jerry.
It's like, okay, we haveto register. But more than that,
those of us who are a littlebit more attuned to this, paying
a little bit more attention to this, we have to get over our reluctance
to want to tell other people whatto do. That's kind of a leftist

(36:53):
Democrat thing of telling other people howto live their lives, and conservatives,
generous speaking, look, thank youfor the generally speaking. Conservatives don't want
to tell other people what to dowith their lives. Where they leave us
alone. We'll live our own life. Kind of group that's not going to
work here. It's just that isnot going to work here. We have

(37:17):
to be a lot, not alittle bit, a lot more forceful.
We have to be persistent pains inthe butt when it comes to saying are
you ready to vote? Why aren'tyou ready to to vote? Well,
look, whatever the excuse is,I don't care. I do not care
what your excuse is. Too bad, so sad. We got to get

(37:37):
you. If you say, okay, get in the car with me.
Now we're going down there to getyou reader to vote. Now we're going
downtown. We're going to get thisdone. I'm going to take your lunch,
and then we're going to get youready to vote, and then we're
going to make sure that you vote. The other part of it is I
heard Trump talk about this, andby the way, I have moved from
a reluctant Trump voter to an invariant, enthusiastic Trump voter at this point.

(38:02):
The convention did that for me.Also, the attempt on his life did
that for me. Also, here'sthe reality. There's no option. I
don't care who they put up.It doesn't matter. Trump's better. Perfect
doesn't run. We never get perfect. We just get better or worse.
And once you decide he's better thanshut up. And I'm talking to myself

(38:27):
right now. Just shut up aboutyour reservations, shut up about the way
he talks. Don't worry about allthe rest of that. It's just noise.
Is he better or worse on theSecond Amendment? Is he better or
worse on gun rights? He's better. He's not perfect, we know that.
We got that, but he justgot better than he was with Jade

(38:47):
Vans in there. So that's wherewe are. Eight six' six talk
gun. What is your reaction toJoe Biden announcing he is not going to
run for presid Hey, come upin a few minutes, we're going to
have one of the big time YouTubegun tubers on the show here and then

(39:12):
a little bit later on we're gonnabe talking about long range rifle shooting with
the world champion, National champion. But right now, the breaking news is
that Joe Biden just announced he's notgoing to run for reelection. He's dropping
out of the race, dropping outof the campaign. And the question is
what's that going to mean? Whoare they going to put in? Right
now, it's speculation time, becausethat's kind of fun as we play the
campaign game. Mary called in.She's on line one out of North Carolina.

(39:37):
Hey, Mary, you're on gunTalk. What's your take on this?
Well, Hi, how are you? I tell you? I think
money talks. And I could havethis wrong, but it seems to me
like the only way they keep thecampaign money that's already been raised is is
Kamala Harris. That's what I hearis that only Kamala Harris can use the

(40:02):
money from the campaign unless they finda way around that, which they very
well might. I mean, theygot a lot of smart people. But
yeah, no, I'm with you. I think I think she used the
likely choice. I think she is, not that I'm concerned she won't win.
He wouldn't have won. Oh canyou imagine a Donald Trump and Kamala
Harris debate? Oh my gosh, how much fun will that be? It

(40:28):
would be even better than J.D. Vance and Kamala Harris. Yeah,
although jd. Vance would do agreat job with it because he's one
smart guy. But wow, holycow. All right, Well, thank
you very I appreciate that call.Let's see Anthony's in Streetport Online too.
Hey, Anthony, you're on gunTalk. What's on your mind. Oh,
thank you. I was First, let me state that, in my

(40:52):
opinion, the Democrats are going topull every trick that they possibly can,
cheating Tree to win this election. And so having said that, with the
recent computer outage we had a dayor two ago, and I hate for
this to sound like a conspiracy theory. I wonder if that was just a

(41:13):
trial run. Wonder if that shouldhappen on election day. I'm wondering if
the RNC is looking at the addTrump and to prepare for something like that
happened if a big, while orold wide computer outage occurred on election day
like it just occurred. I heardsome people talking about that, and one
of the takeaways from that was,and you heard Donald Trump talking about this,

(41:35):
the Republicans starting to embrace early voting, and everywhere there is an early
voting available, we should be takingadvantage of that and voting early as much
as possible, partly to avoid thedebacle of computer issues on election day,
but also honestly, early voting allowsus to get more people to vote.

(41:57):
And look, I appreciate the call, but think about that. There are
a lot of people who say wedon't want see I can't vote on Tuesday,
or I had planned to vote andthat something came up. Okay,
great, But if you can votea week early, or two weeks or
a month early somewhere in there, you can do that. Or if you
can do mail in voting, youshould do that. You should encourage all
your friends to do that. Youshould, as I say, you need

(42:21):
to be the pain in their rear. Ends that keep saying are you registered?
We have to get your registered. To your friends, to your colleagues,
to anybody, you say, look, you have to register. If
you're to not register to vote isto be un American, simple as that.
If you choose to not register tovote and you choose to not vote,

(42:46):
that is as un American as anythingI can think of. And can
I just say this a stronger way. I don't think you can call yourself
a proud patriot. You cannot bea proud American if you don't vote,
And if you don't register to vote, you can't vote. So that is

(43:07):
my take, and that's going tobe my continual nag for everybody as we
go forward. All Right, ournumber year is eight six six talk gun.
When we come back, we're goingto be talking to one of the
big time YouTube gun content, guntubers, they call them gun tubers,
and we'll talk about what's going onthere. It's another assault by a social

(43:30):
media outlet on gun people.
