but we're always trying to find a way. And that's
that's really what gun Talk has always been about, is
finding a way to get this message out. You know,
our core message. Our mission statement was and is for us,

you know, to currently change the way guns and gun
owners are viewed in America.

So that's why we're trying to reach the largest audience
possible because I think that I think, you know, we
try to kind of cover all the things. We try
to be approachable to. Ask somebody last week, I said,
what do you how would you describe gun Talk media?
And the guy who's in the gun industry world, and
he it's kind of risk asking that question, don't know

what you're going, but he did describe about how we're trying.
What we're trying to do is like, you know, I
think you guys are really approachable for for not only
the gun enthusiasts, but also maybe the gun curious, the
gun adjacent people who are like, I'm good with I
don't I don't mind guns, I don't know a lot
about guns. Maybe I want to buy a gun or
maybe I own a gun. I mean, I'm not like

one of those gun people.

But you know it's cool.

You know people, even the gun curious people, they're gun
people at heart. Like I think, if you're gun curious,
you're sitting you have an interest in it. Yeah, that

cold calling, trying to get them to pick up a
radio show about guns. And we had all these various
reactions in somewhere. Well, we don't do shows like that. Okay, great,

and we're not like preaching conspiracy from the bunker back here.
But the one that I always liked is you'd be
talking to them and it's like they would lower their voice.
It kind of looked both ways to say, well, you
know where we are. We've got a lot of people
who own guns. It didn't matter where they were in
any part of the country. Yeah, we got the same story.

We know where we are. We got a lot of
people who own guns. And I'm going really, anybody.

Talking about letting people in the club, I will say,
if you're putting in any of the units that I
put in for draws, I don't want you in the club.

Yeah, Virginia. We have the current governor at the goal, Spamberger,
who there's a former CIA officer. So you got to

secretive is part of her breakup. So she pretended during
the election to be a very moderate person and all that.

a volunteer and activist for the Mom's Demand Action gun
band group. Wow, so they just signed she just signed
a ban on modern firearms. What does that make? Yeah,
basically beyond musket for almost semi automatics AR fifteen's so

called assault weapons magazines at home more than fifteen rounds.
It goes into effect on July one. Well, this is
like a repeat of nineteen ninety four with the Clinton
gun band, the so called Federal Assault Weapon Band. People
are buying guns in Virginia like crazy because the people
who said, you know, I might want a gun, the
gun adjacent talk about it's like, well, I'm okay with guns,

I might want to own a gun. And then they said,
well you're not going to be able to own this.
Oh we got to go get this. And gun stores
are flooded and the mail of houses are shipping guns
and magazines to Virginia like crazy. But my point there
is that this is not just Virginia. This is a
plan to move this throughout the states.

That's sotant to say.

Virginia is a pretty even purple ish, almost reddish state,
except that like a lot of these states where you've
got these clusters of very blue areas, and that's what
happened there. Well, you look at a lot of states,
whether it's Colorado or Texas or a lot of different places,
you've got these clusters are blue, but with enough population
base to change things. And the plan is that, trust me,

they have a plan is to move this thing, this
program of theirs, to all states. So we all got
to be paying attention and frankly helping fight what's going
on there. I'd rather them fight that there and we
win there that have it come out to other states.

There's an inclination for people who live in very gun
friendly states. So I'm in Arizona, I'm in Texas, I'm
in Colorado or whatever. Well, guess what, Denver, Denver, it's
tail that wags the dogs. Phoenix, Albuco, Austin, keep Austin weird. Austin,
Texas is the capital of Texas. And everybody is hearing

about the growth of Austin, the growth of tech in Austin. Well,
tech generally skews liberal, right, and all these.

People are pouring into there from California. Yeah, from the
tech world.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
It's like weeds. You can't let a weed sprout up
in your yard and do nothing. It's just gonna keep
you know, you can just get all these weeds. It's like, oh,
you know, that's just California, that's just Virginia. Well, how
many are you going to say that about. Well, that's
just Oregon, that's just Washington, that's just California, that's just Connecticut,
that's just Massachusetts, that's just Colorado, that's just Virginia. Okay,

at what point do you go no, no, no, no, right, no,
right done.

Well, they provide that framework for a reason. I mean,
that's that's their plant is to is to move it along.
But it's the people in the free states like Louisiana, Oklahoma,
those you know, Midwestern states to some of them that
we don't we don't get involved, right, Well, that's not
my state. Well I'm sitting there on the phone call

in Virginia like anyone I can get saying hey, we're
against this, like you need to do your part for
those states, like if you like if they didn't do
this back in the Revolutionary War, like oh, well that's
that's over there.

Well that's over I don't know, prob Yeah, no, this
is all of us.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
Well, okay, the people said, well, what can I do?
You can join the the Virginia Citizens eventually VCDL see
I don't live in Virginia, Yes, but you'd like to
win there. Okay, Fine, So it's already about money and okay,
so call call up twenty five bucks fifty bucks, which
is what the cost of two or three boxes of
Amma these days, or half a box of Amba.

to go have from four Bucks.

But this is real and it's happening right now. And
I always say, look, if you're not helping to pull
the wagon, then you're sitting in the wagon and we're

just self indulgent. So to actually do something, is.

No? Oh no, no. We're challenging in the courts and
there we're not only challenging in the course right now.
But the big deal is a hermit Dylon, who's in
charge of the Civil Rights Division of the US Department
of Justice, has notified Virginia that the moment it goes
into effect for July one, the Department of Justice issuing
them to stop this because I said, it's it's unconstitutional.

So this is a fight and it's going to be rugged.
But here's the real takeaway, the honest to God, this
is how we win everything. We win elections If you
win elections, you don't have to go to court, period.
If hunters and hunters are the ones who sit on
their butts and don't do this. If hunters and other

gun owners hadn't sat there and we had won these
elections in Virginia, we would not be doing this right now.
And right now we're looking at the bid terms and
people are going to sit on their butts and go
hunting and not do this stuff and not get involved in,
not make a donation to a candidate, and not grab
all their hunting buddies. That's how we win. And when
we win elections, we don't have to win in the courts,

and a court win is a temporary win. An election
win goes a long way.

Yeah, I mean, look at what we're doing right now.
I mean it's the reason that the Justice Department, which
is under Trump, is able to challenge this stuff.

if you're shooting A slow bullet, even though the bc
is great it makes a difference like when you start to.
Reach Out To those, Further distances and i'm i'm lucky

like we ended up not, being able to shoot day
two and we were LUCKY not to finish last because
i took my son. Out there and he shot it
he was shooting open HEAVY six' five creed more. AND
i was lucky to beat him i mean that was his.
First time shooting distances out that far but when, you
start to look at what peak alloway and all this,

stuff means for that type of gun and if they
get THE because they're bringing out out like i think
It's One Hundred. And fifty three grain sierra match, king
when that comes out like that that opens up that like.
Eighteen inch the smaller guns hiking on that's what the.
Nrol on hundred matches are?

Built for, is this to train, Yourself tell me maybe
this doesn't work but if you think about the difference
in five hundred feet per second and being able, to
throw these longer bullets and stuff.

you have less wind drift it's as if you brought
the targets one hundred. Yards, one hundred and, fifty yards.

just have less adjustment because we know, like it's kind,
of like a cone right you're shooting, and like the

other media that existed it because we have you too,

have today, and so we just didn't then run around them.
So you know, it's that same thing over and over again.
It's maybe different channels, some different ways of doing it,
but we're always trying to find a way. And that's
that's really what gun Talk has always been about, is
finding a way to get this message out. You know,
our core message. Our mission statement was and is for us,

you know, to currently change the way guns and gun
owners are viewed in America.

So that's why we're trying to reach the largest audience

try to kind of cover all the things. We try

And the guy who's in the gun industry world, and
he it's kind of risk asking that question, don't know

what you're going, but he did describe about how we're trying.
What we're trying to do is like, you know, I
think you guys are really approachable for for not only
the gun enthusiasts, but also maybe the gun curious, the
gun adjacent people who are like, I'm good with I
don't I don't mind guns, I don't know a lot
about guns. Maybe I want to buy a gun or
maybe I own a gun. I mean, I'm not like

one of those gun people.

You know people, even the gun curious people, they're gun
people at heart. Like I think, if you're gun curious,
you're sitting you have an interest in it. Yeah, that

and we're not like preaching conspiracy from the bunker back here.
But the one that I always liked is you'd be
talking to them and it's like they would lower their voice.
It kind of looked both ways to say, well, you
know where we are. We've got a lot of people
who own guns. It didn't matter where they were in
any part of the country. Yeah, we got the same story.

We know where we are. We got a lot of
people who own guns. And I'm going really, anybody.

Yeah, Virginia. We have the current governor at the goal, Spamberger,
who there's a former CIA officer. So you got to
know that starting out so lying and cheating and being
secretive is part of her breakup. So she pretended during
the election to be a very moderate person and all that.

As soon as she got elected, boom. Now she was
a volunteer and activist for the Mom's Demand Action gun
band group. Wow, so they just signed she just signed
a ban on modern firearms. What does that make? Yeah,
basically beyond musket for almost semi automatics AR fifteen's so

called assault weapons magazines at home more than fifteen rounds.
It goes into effect on July one. Well, this is
like a repeat of nineteen ninety four with the Clinton
gun band, the so called Federal Assault Weapon Band. People
are buying guns in Virginia like crazy because the people
who said, you know, I might want a gun, the
gun adjacent talk about it's like, well, I'm okay with guns,

I might want to own a gun. And then they said,
well you're not going to be able to own this.
Oh we got to go get this. And gun stores
are flooded and the mail of houses are shipping guns
and magazines to Virginia like crazy. But my point there
is that this is not just Virginia. This is a
plan to move this throughout the states.

Virginia is a pretty even purple ish, almost reddish state,
except that like a lot of these states where you've
got these clusters of very blue areas, and that's what
happened there. Well, you look at a lot of states,
whether it's Colorado or Texas or a lot of different places,
you've got these clusters are blue, but with enough population
base to change things. And the plan is that, trust me,

they have a plan is to move this thing, this
program of theirs, to all states. So we all got
to be paying attention and frankly helping fight what's going
on there. I'd rather them fight that there and we
win there that have it come out to other states.

There's an inclination for people who live in very gun
friendly states. So I'm in Arizona, I'm in Texas, I'm
in Colorado or whatever. Well, guess what, Denver, Denver, it's
tail that wags the dogs. Phoenix, Albuco, Austin, keep Austin weird. Austin,
Texas is the capital of Texas. And everybody is hearing

about the growth of Austin, the growth of tech in Austin. Well,
tech generally skews liberal, right, and all these.

People are pouring into there from California. Yeah, from the
tech world.

It's like weeds. You can't let a weed sprout up
in your yard and do nothing. It's just gonna keep

many are you going to say that about. Well, that's
just Oregon, that's just Washington, that's just California, that's just Connecticut,
that's just Massachusetts, that's just Colorado, that's just Virginia. Okay,

Well, they provide that framework for a reason. I mean,
that's that's their plant is to is to move it along.
But it's the people in the free states like Louisiana, Oklahoma,
those you know, Midwestern states to some of them that
we don't we don't get involved, right, Well, that's not
my state. Well I'm sitting there on the phone call

in Virginia like anyone I can get saying hey, we're
against this, like you need to do your part for
those states, like if you like if they didn't do
this back in the Revolutionary War, like oh, well that's
that's over there.

is all of us.

Well, okay, the people said, well, what can I do?
You can join the the Virginia Citizens eventually VCDL see

of Justice, has notified Virginia that the moment it goes
into effect for July one, the Department of Justice issuing
them to stop this because I said, it's it's unconstitutional.

So this is a fight and it's going to be rugged.
But here's the real takeaway, the honest to God, this
is how we win everything. We win elections If you
win elections, you don't have to go to court, period.
If hunters and hunters are the ones who sit on
their butts and don't do this. If hunters and other

gun owners hadn't sat there and we had won these
elections in Virginia, we would not be doing this right now.
And right now we're looking at the bid terms and
people are going to sit on their butts and go
hunting and not do this stuff and not get involved in,
not make a donation to a candidate, and not grab
all their hunting buddies. That's how we win. And when
we win elections, we don't have to win in the courts,

and a court win is a temporary win. An election
win goes a long way.

You like ballistically downrange being that you know what it could,
be and what you were shooting what were you were encountering. Because,
it was a tough match oh.

It, was an, incredibly tough, match hard small targets far
distances which doesn't play well when you start adding wind and,
if you're shooting A slow bullet, even though the bc
is great it makes a difference like when you start to.
Reach Out To those, Further distances and i'm i'm lucky

like we ended up not, being able to shoot day
two and we were LUCKY not to finish last because
i took my son. Out there and he shot it
he was shooting open HEAVY six' five creed more. AND
i was lucky to beat him i mean that was his.
First time shooting distances out that far but when, you
start to look at what peak alloway and all this,
(35:41):
stuff means for that type of gun and if they
get THE because they're bringing out out like i think
It's One Hundred. And fifty three grain sierra match, king
when that comes out like that that opens up that like.
Eighteen inch the smaller guns hiking on that's what the.
Nrol on hundred matches are?

Built for, is this to train, Yourself tell me maybe
this doesn't work but if you think about the difference
in five hundred feet per second and being able, to
throw these longer bullets and stuff.

Is it, like.

You're bringing all, the targets closer you have. Less drop
you have less wind drift it's as if you brought
the targets one hundred. Yards, one hundred and, fifty yards.

Closer yeah, why wouldn't.

It because, like the bullet what the bullet's doing you,
just have less adjustment because we know, like it's kind,
of like a cone right you're shooting, and like the
further out you GET we know what moa is and
moa at a thousand yards is ten inches and. At
one hundred yards.

One inch so it's a cone right your wind? Drift
at one thousand is this much your wind? Drift at
eight hundred is this much you? Drop at one thousand
is this much. You drop at eight hundreds THIS much
now you've literally just switched amo and. It's, Like the
targets just got clear yeah so.

What you're doing is you're taking that traditional art of your. Bullet,
trajectory and You're just stretching.

It, yeah you're flatt you're.

Flatten it Out, is WHAT you're doing which the yeah,
if i had more than twenty rounds like they, would
have been great, to test that but But. You know
it's coming out in august. BUT but, it Was a,
frustrating match i, mean And I'M like oh my, gosh like.
I'm i felt so hamstrung you, know and IT wasn't

THAT you know the the ammo. That i was shooting
was so bad? It WAS just what is possible now
like i had that in the back, of my, mind,
all The whole match like going well if i'm, shooting
three three thousand feet per second you know. My Wind's
going to be way different like i'm taking out wind adjustments,
Instead Of Holding two mills off target like, i'm i'd,

only have to hold. Like you know. A, mill off
target you know it oh there were so MANY things
happened in, that, match where i was just like so.

You'd, HAVE been better off. NOT knowing yes i.

Didn't want to I did not want. The knowledge that
i had right now so and there were some there.
Was some really GOOD shooters out there and and when,
i was talking to folks about this because it had
launched and, we WERE we WERE the day after so
i was i. Was within the realms to discuss it,
that was the buzz at the match which was interesting
because when those, guys start taking, notice and THEY go

oh my gosh like because i saw like there was
like six or eight crosses out there and they're, all
doing about the same as me, and they were, talking
about it like oh my gosh that that makes. This
Gun A little bit More relevant so.

i want To create like a SIX five creed, more
gun that is i don't know twelve inches maybe fourteen
inch barrel with a carbon fiber barrel doing. Over the

Three inches backwards it's three inches forwards. So now it's
a fourteen inch barrel you only have another three inches

may twenty Seventh Or something like, that right before peak
alloy came out. And, so they're getting they're a lot
basically it's, not a, transactional, like you give us you
know rounds you Just Keep the. Rounds flowing of this
peak alloy stuff they're getting the case technology and so
it's like forty million cases that they have to acquire

to show, that they can get this stuff going and
then they get basically all the licensing agreement for that
technology all. The way up to like fifty bmg so
what's a fifty bmg gonna? Look like in the next
few years is? It, going, to be.

They're already shooting yeah yeah they're already think about.

And WE have fifty bmg behind us and i, mean
people will talk about fifty bmg but if you, haven't
really been hands on with it it's. A giant cartridge
for for small arms so. IT'S the biggest of the,
SMALL arms, i would guess you'd say i mean it's
it's throwing a seven hundred grain bullet seven hundred, and

fifty green bullet twenty, seven hundred so it's not particularly
fast but it's a seven, hundred and FIFTY grain bullet or.

they use that's actually even. Better, Than a fifty bmg
performance wise.

Could take, a, three hundred nag three thirty eight yeah,
and double or triple the internal pressure run it to
one hundred and fifty psi and now you can get
a six hundred or one thousand feet per second more out.

Of it three hundred norma that's. Kind of the hottest
and ball part.

So you're getting fifty bmg range and energy out of.
SOMETHING much, smaller and easier to. Carry i, Mean, it
just keeps expanding, it's like wow we. Could, do this
we could. DO this, YEAH and we're just now i
mean i know there are people who already know, that
and they're working on this, stuff but, For, the rest
of us we're going wow we could. Do a, lot of.

No additional pressure on the rifle. Itself the case is
containing the pressure that's why it's a. Straight swapout for
the sixty five more you. Can use it in your
regular rifle the rifle doesn't know. It's shooting a higher

pressure rifle cartridge and that's kind of. The magic, sauce of, The,
whole thing.
