CZ stands apart. CZ built for those who demand more.
CZ Firearms dot Com.

Speaker 2 (00:15):

fifty thousand hours of battery life, shake awake technology and
a solar failsafe, your optic is always ready when you
are holosen confidence in every shot.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Hey, welcome back to gun Talk Tom Gresh here. Of course,
if you want to join us, it's easy as it
can be. Eight six six Talk Gun Just give us
a call. We're looking for a range of ports where
you've been to shooting. If you buy anything, you gotta
just a crazy interesting story. We're just sitting around the
digital campfire here and talking about guns and everything else. Well,
you know, of course, coming right up next week, we're
going to the NRA show down in Houston, and look,

(00:52):
if you've got to be there, by all means, if
you see me, flag me down. I'm going to be
doing the show live on Sunday from the Ruger Booth.
But I'll be walk around the show and you know
there's lots of stuff going on. I just learned of
something that I did not know that was going to
be going on. Kevin Wilson joined us right now from Davidson's,
which is also Kevin. I guess for most people it's
Gallery of Guns because Davidson's is a distributor. You wan't

(01:15):
explain what that is.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Yeah, Basically, Davidson's is a national wholesaler. We do firearms, optics, suppressors, cutlery,
am but we sell primarily to FFL retailers and then
our consumer website, Galleryofguns dot com. The way that works
is consumers can access our inventory, You find a gun

(01:40):
that you like, and we're going to give you an
instant quote from all the local dealers in your area.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Oh and you get you get multiple quotes, just depending
on what that dealer wants to do.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Yeah, because we don't set prices.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
For the dealer. Okay, the dealer.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
The dealer sets their own price. You punch in your
zip code and we'll show you here's all the dealers
within twenty five miles or fifty miles. You can set
that and then you can see what they're pricing that
gun at. And you say, okay, I want to go here,
you give us a little small deposit, and we'll ship

(02:20):
that gun to that dealer that you selected, and then
you go pay them the balance and do the next check,
do all the paperwork, and you pick it up from
your local dealer.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
How long does that usually take?

Speaker 4 (02:34):
About forty eight hours? What I mean, very often we'll
get that gun out the day you order.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
It, so it's sitting at your dealer within Well, let's
just be generous. Two to five days, that's unreasonable.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Oh yeah, five days is kind of a stretch, but yeah,
two or three days is going to be ready for
you to come get it.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
You know, it's not like you hadn't thought of this,
but just to think about this for people to understand
what that means is even if you got a little
bitty gun store and they don't have room for anything,
they don't have any inventory, they actually have a massive
inventory because they've got all your inventory exactly.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
We're kind of like their virtual warehouse. And you're absolutely right,
Mom and pop gun store. They're not gonna have five
thousand guns in stop, Nope, but they can get it
and you don't even have to you just you walk
through gallery of guns, you're basically shopping Davidson's warehouse. The

(03:33):
local dealer might have let's say one hundred guns in stop. Well,
we got probably thirteen thousand different SKUs ready to go.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
Okay, well, and then you've got something else. And I
want to go ahead and tease this because in a minute,
we're going to tell people about a special thing that's
coming up, like in the next few days where they
can really take advantage of this. But you have you
actually have guns that nobody else has because you've got
your exclusives. Where do you work out something with these
manufacturers and it might be a different color or a

(04:05):
different finish, but it might be just a different configuration
of a gun completely it's not vable anywhere else.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Yeah, we've been doing that for many decades. We've got
people in house that are lifelong gun people. What we
do is we work with a manufacturer on a design
and it might be one of their existing models, but
we would like it with these sites, and we would
like it in this calibory.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Yeah, or this barrel length or whatever. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Right, So we get them to make that for us
and that becomes our exclusive. You can get it nowhere
else except either Davidson's or Gallery of Guns or your
local FFL retailer that gets it from.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Us, right if they stocked it.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Yeah, at any given moment, we might have thirty or
forty exclusives adjusts with Ruger, but we do it with
bunch of brands. We just love doing that, especially like
if a new gun comes out, like when Ruger came
out with the RXm, well we immediately, hey, we need

(05:11):
to do some exclusive versions of this. So we did
some different color ways, we did some saraco, we did
threaded barrels, and we just have a lot of fun
with it. And the thing with Galleryofguns dot Com, there's
no transfer fee because we consider that a sale for
that dealer.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Whoa Okay, that could be anywhere from twenty five to
fifty bucks for transferable easily easily. Wow, Okay, I did
not know that. All right, we got to go ahead
and unleash this thing here because I just learned this
before we got on the here, that you're doing something
pretty cool at the end our ratio.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
Yeah, there's a couple of things going on. First of all,
we haven't had a booth there for several years, but
this year we're going to be there in force. We'll
have a booth on the floor. You can actually place
orders at that booth, which is exactly the way you
would do it online, but you'll be able to see
touch the guns. All the manufacturers, the ones that participate

(06:13):
with us, you check out the guns in their booth,
and you can come straight over to ours in order
it that day.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Oh okay, So I could go to Ruger booth or
Smith and Wesson booth and say, handle the guns. So
that's cool. I really like that. I want that and
literally just walk over your booth and place the order.
And it could be depending on how long it takes
you to get home, it could be at the gun
store before you get home.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
It could actually if you're there for all three or
four days, that gun could be at your dealer before
you even get home. Will be the only place you
can actually purchase a firearm at the show.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
That's pretty neat A good deal, all right. So what
else you got cooking?

Speaker 4 (06:53):
Well, we got some new exclusives. I know the last
time I talked to you, we were talking a lot
about revolvers, and since then we have had a couple
of different exclusives with Smith and West, and we came
out with a Model ninety, which is a jayframe that
shoots nine millimere.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Oh you know I like that a lot and a
lot of people are going to wonder why. But let
me tell you, man, do you get that thing with
moon clips full moon clips that is a fast load
and revolver.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Yep, it comes with three moon clips. It's got a
really nice VZ diamond black cherry grips, it's got a
night sight on the front, it's got a fluted barrel.
It's just a really sweet looking gun.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
Sweet.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
Okay, that's not all. We did a Performance Center shield X.
Remember when they came out with the Spec five. Yeah,
I had that PVD blue accent, right. We did that
with the shield X and they're both threaded. One comes
with a thread protector, the other one comes with a compensator.

(08:01):
And those just came out within the last month or so.
But one thing that pretty excited about. And we're going
to launch this on the thirteenth, but it will launch
for official sale the first day of Nrashow on April sixteenth.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Okay, so people listening to this right now, they're getting
the heads up on this ahead of everybody else.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
Yeah, I'm kind of going a day early, but I
hope I won't get in trouble. We've teamed up with
Tandem Cross, and Tandem Cross for years has been making
really upper end rim fire parts, trigger groups, mag wells,

(08:43):
all kinds of upgrades for rim fire guns. Well, they
came out for the first time with a complete rifle
and it's called the TK x twenty two Light Rifle.
And we will be the elusive distributor of that gun,
and we'll have it in stock and ready for sale

(09:06):
first day of NRA.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
So what kind of rifles A semiauto bolt is this?

Speaker 5 (09:11):
It's semi auto.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
The only part on the gun not made by Tandem
Cross is the stock, and that is a magpull X
twenty two stock man. It is just full of high
end features and one of the things the reason they
call it a light rifle, it weighs three pounds six
ounces wow, which is absolutely nothing, but it's yeah, it's

(09:36):
stuff full of Tandem Crosses, the premium parts that they've
been selling and developing and manufacturing. They made this whole complete.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
Rifle out of it.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
So it's got.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
Tkx twenty two receivers, got a spitfire lightweight barrel and
that has a tension to barrel's sleeve on it that
has mlock slots built into it, manicore light trigger assembly,
crossfire bolt, spartan charge and handle. And I don't know
if you've seen this, but they make something they call

(10:07):
the double Cross magazine. No, it is a double ended
rotary mag for twenty two long rifle. So you stick
it in, you shoot the ten shots, you pull it
out and just turn it over and there's another ten.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
It's a rotary magazine. Illah Rugerten twenty two.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
Yep, and it looks picture the number eight.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
You got dary like top two of them. It took
two of them, glued them together exactly, twut the bottoms
together and just pop it out swapping around. Yep. Brilliant.
All right, keV, you're buried the league. What's this thing cost?

Speaker 4 (10:47):
Retail is going to be right around fourteen fifteen hundred, okay,
and it's worth every penny. We just had a media
event at Gunside Academy and we shot this thing.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
All all day long.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
And what sealed it for me was seeing the smiles
on these people's face. They would shoot this gun and
they just turn around and grand here to hear that's terrific.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
Well what a fun deal. Well, and I was just
going to say, and if they want to see that
and everything else, you guys should do in galleryguns dot Com.
Pretty easy there. And also if you're going to be
in Houston at the NRA show, and honestly, if you're
in the area at all, if you've never been to
an NRA Annual meeting, the Angle show, it's phenomenal. It's like, say, man,
you get to go to the Shot Show, except nobody
can get to go to the Shot Show unless you've

(11:34):
been in the business. But you go to this thing
and got all these manufacturers that they are showing their wares.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
It's pretty much the consumer version of shot Show.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
You're right, it really is. Well, this is terrific, and
I appreciate you letting the cat out of the bag
and giving our listeners a day or two heads up
on this stuff.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
And if you can't go to the show, galleryguns dot
Com is open twenty four to seven.

Speaker 3 (11:57):

Speaker 3 (14:51):
I want to run something past you get some response
or input on this. Got had a fault a few
days ago, just running this around in my head that
it eas to get out. As simple as that baseline is.
We're talking about the midterm elections for a second. They're
coming up November. My sense is that Democrats are more

(15:14):
energized about the midterms than are Republicans, Liberals much more
energized about it than conservatives. Conservatives kind of my take, Okay,
you may not agree, but my take is kind of
live and let live. I'm not going to tell anybody
how to live their life. I don't want anybody to
tell me how to live my life. Liberals on the
other end, say yeah, you have to live your life

(15:35):
the way I tell you or else. Yeah, I know.
It's going to take off my liberal friends. That's okay.
Where I'm going with this is I think that some
of the online chatter, online talk from supposed gun rights

(15:56):
people second amendment supporters are going to hurt our efforts
are being second mind supporters and the midterms. What I
mean by that is, if the key to winning in
the midterm elections is to get out the vote, is
to get engagement, is to get activity going is to

(16:18):
get people to go vote. Then if you tamp down
on their enthusiasm, if you make them feel bad about
their choices, if they if you make them feel bad
about the leadership of the party, then I think a
lot of them won't go vote. So that brings me
to what I see right now. There's a lot of

(16:42):
online chest thumping making yourself feel important or big or whatever.
By putting down President Trump, people say, well, you know,
he's not really pro Second Amendment. And I make the statement,

(17:03):
I said, you know, look, he is the most pro
Second Amendment present we have had in fifty years, probably
one hundred years. I can't think of one. This is
any better. People to say, yeah, I can't believe he
said that because he didn't do this, and he didn't
do that. His Justice Department did that, right, I get it.
I understand we had and have high hopes. Unfortunately, I

(17:29):
think a lot of people on our thought had very
unrealistic hopes, thinking we could get rid of every gun
control all there is ain't gonna happen. But we've gotten
rid of a lot of them, and the process of continuing,
we're getting a lot of good action out of harmony
Dylon and that Second Amendment section within the Civil Rights

(17:53):
Division at the Department of Justice, And yes, I know,
what Pam Bondi had been doing is like schizophrenia over there.
And she's she had been she's been fired by the
way she had been supporting gun control laws that may
change under a new attorney general, may not. But even
with that, even with that, and you say, yeah, but yeah,

(18:15):
I know, the yeah butts are killer and shortsighted, and
just can I just say it, just dumb. Yes, you're
not going to get everything you want. We are not
going to win every one of these. But if we
are winning some, if we're getting the Justice Department filing
good briefs in court cases, if we're getting atf removing restrictions,

(18:41):
which they are doing and have been doing, we're making
a lot of progress. And if you are not aware
of that, you're just looking at the wrong places online.
You've fallen into the echo chamber of yeah, but Trump,
Yeah but Trump hasn't done this, but Trump hasn't done that.
What does that connect to? What do I mean about

(19:03):
that effecting the midterms? It means simply this, You're talking
a lot of Second Amendment supporters into a funk and say, well,
why would I support the Republicans because they haven't done everything. Yeah,
I know they've done some things, but they haven't done everything.
And in some cases I run into people who don't
know anything, they've done, anything that the White House has done. Well,

(19:29):
if you are unaware, I'm sorry, you're just not paying attention.
You need better information sources. And I worry, and I
don't want to say fear that may be going too far,
but I worry that we in our chest thumping I'm important.
I'm going to talk down about Trump. I'm going to

(19:50):
bad mouth him and the Department of Justice. I'm going
to beat up on Pam BONDI, who yeah, is no
longer there. In the process, you're going to get a
lot of people say, why bother? Why would I bother
to show up? They said they were going to do
things to us, and they didn't do it. They didn't
provide you know, they didn't come through on second moment.
Yes they did, they just didn't give you everything yet.

(20:11):
And we're never gonna get everything. Okay, let's just get
over that. But we made such progress. So I guess
what I would ask is to take a fresh look
at where you're hanging out online and who you're talking
to and who you're being influenced by. And yes, remember
that some times gun rights groups get you fired up

(20:38):
and angry as a way of getting your money there.
I've said it. They want you mad at Donald Trump,
they want you mad at other gun rights groups so
that you'll join their group and give them money. Yes,

(21:01):
that's a reality. You got to know when you're being played,
simple as that. You got to pay attention to what
the message is, who it's coming from, and what the
motivation is behind it. It may not be that they
really want your activism and what they really want is

(21:23):
your bank account. Just saying okay, so maybe perhaps yeah,
I know I just wishful thinking on my part, But
you could get more gun rights people to start paying
attention to the good things that are going on, to
be well informed, to follow the right people on X.
Follow me on X. I'll lead you to the right places.

(21:45):
I'm at gun talk on X. It may be the
single best resource for finding out what's going on in
second amendmic. Gun right stuff seriously used to be Twitter.
Now it's called x X dot com. Follow me, I'm
at gun Talk over there. I will lead you to
the right places. I will show you the news, the
actual facts, not the claims, and you may find out

(22:09):
that things are a lot better than you think they
are than you've been led to believe. If we can
maybe get people to understand that we are actually winning
on many fronts, we can motivate people to get out there,
because trust me, if we lose a bunch in the midterms,
it's going to be really really ugly, simplest thing. Eight
six' Six Talk. Gun what's your? Take all? Right we'll

(22:40):
open lines. Now if you're want to give me a,
call just go for. It Tom Talk. Gun that is the.

Speaker 5 (23:21):
Show Hey, Tom Hey, tom and all everybody in gun.
WORLD i want to say how HAPPY i am to
welcome anyone who comes to THE nra. Show last time
it was canceled out by Our democrat, mayor supposedly FOR,
covid but there were two conventions before it and after it. Too,
anyway my THING i want to mention any military. Veterans

(23:46):
april fifteen through the twenty, second the first time, ever
we're going to Have Fleet week here In galveston Slash,
houston And i've been emailing THE nra hoping that they'll cross.
Promoted BUT i did get this bit that there will
be a shuttle from The GEORGE. R brown down To,

(24:06):
galveston which is almost a fifty mile. Jump AND i
don't know if that's strictly for uniform MILITARY id carrying
military or if it's for, anybody but you're going to
be able to see some ships and greet The navy.
Men the, sailment the. SAILORS i was told it's correctly pronounced,

(24:29):
right and it's going to be a wonderful. Time and
anybody who's, coming if you got a day before or
three days after fifteenth through the twenty Second Navy Fleet,
week AND i Believe army And marines are going to
be here as. Well there will be a air show
at The Ellington, field which used to be An Air

(24:50):
force base south Of houston but in Between galveston And
houston On, friday BUT i know that conflicts with.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
Them have you ever been To Fleet?

Speaker 5 (25:01):
Week i'm, sorry have you ever been To Fleet week? Before, no,
SIR i am, thrilled thrilled to be able to experience
it that right experience shacking your hand on the floor
There thursday Or. Friday, yeah light me, down.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
YEAH i mean look, seriously if you see me, there
just flag me. Down look TO i hate to. DEAR
i got to keep running because all of a sudden
the phones have lit up or light it, UP i
don't know what it. Is, anyway we Got joe In, Hayes.
Kansas Hey, joe what'd you been? Shooting?

Speaker 12 (25:33):
Hey? TOM i ordered a and received A wildcat supporter
From Fas farms here In, Hayes, kansas and my range
report is at twenty five. Meters that little twenty two
long rifle shot a three inch pad and right out
of the.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
Box so tell me about this. GUN i don't know about.

Speaker 12 (25:53):
It, okay it's it's basically a wildcat with a wooden
Stock winchester.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Wildcat, okay shooting regular twenty Two.

Speaker 12 (26:07):
Empire, Yes i'm shooting cci through, it AND i haven't
tried any other. Animal that's mainly what i'd. Buy but,
YEAH i shot three inch pattern at twenty five meters
And i'm really thrilled with. It it's great to break
down and. Clean AND i just ordered A athlon ten

(26:28):
by forty two fixed. Power oh, yeah And i'm gonna
put it And i'm going to put that in on
top of that and go out and see IF i
tighten my groups.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
Up the other THING i was going to, suggest because
you mentioned that you're sticking with one type OF, AMMO
i would suggest trying some DIFFERENT ammo because twenty two's
are real, particular or maybe to call them finicky and
a lot of, TIMES i, mean you might be able
to shrink those groups by half by going to a
different kind OF.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
Ammo you just never, Know, yes, SIR i appreciate.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
That all, right, well good. Deal that is a great
range for, it AND i appreciate, that. Sir thank you.
There if you want to join us right, now call
me right, now because we've got it just opened. Up
we've got a line opened up eighty six to six talk.
Gun so, yeah you, KNOW i know people are thinking
three inch groups may not be that great at twenty
five yards or. Meters it all depends on what your

(27:23):
expectations are and what your experience level. Is there certainly
are twenty two caliber rim fire. Rifles they'll shoot one
inch groups at one hundred. Yards, yeah so the three
inch may not be turning you. On that's why kind
of wanted to Tell joe to try some different, now
mostly if we can shrink those groups a. Bit, HONESTLY

(27:46):
i don't THINK i have any twenty two rifles that
wouldn't shoot better than three inches at twenty five, Yards
so just food for thought. THERE i do have this
thing about interesting twenty TWOS i. Have you, KNOW i
think we all have had this experience where we, say you,
KNOW i have this twenty two rifle and really like. It,

(28:08):
GOD i can't remember the last TIME i. Shot it's
never take it to the. Range why is? That why
do our twenty twos not get the respect we give
other guns because it's a dinky little twenty. TWO i don't.
KNOW i have a, God i've had this thing forever
and on, shoots bolt action, gun and as you might,

(28:31):
expect it's superbly. Accurate got A seazy four fifty seven
bolt action left handed that's really. Accurate But i've got
some semi autos rugers that are stunningly. Accurate one it
was done up By Clark Custom guns and they were
really as far AS i, know the first people doing

(28:52):
the accurizing gone ten twenty. Twos and in the right
conditions it's an inch and a half gun at one hundred.
Yards it's, spectacular just amazing with a really good. Trigger
and of course now you have a lot of people
making guns on the ten twenty two, pattern and some of,
them like our previous, guests was, saying they're like fifteen hundred.

(29:14):
Dollars you gave to spend more than, That, well why would?
You because they're really good and they're really, fun and
if you're shooting any kind of, competition that's what you.
WANT i also have a goofy little ten twenty. TWO i, say.
Goofy it's. Fun it has an integraally suppressed, Barrel so

(29:37):
the barrel is a. Suppressor it's all put. Together it's
not when you screw on and take, off so it's always.
Suppressed the reality is it's ABOUT i can't remember eight
or nine inch barrel that then connects to a suppressor
and so you end up with like an eighteen sixteen
eighteen inch barrel and it's crazy. Quiet if you're using subsonic,

(30:01):
ammo it's probably making less noise than a. Pelagun pretty,
amazing and it is just great. Fun. Hey you know,
what now that you're not having to pay the two
hundred dollars tax on silencers or, suppressors you could get
one of those as. Well, hey let's go Grab paul
on line five out Of. Wyoming, Hey, paul you're on Gun.

(30:21):
Talk what's going?

Speaker 12 (30:22):
On? Hi?

Speaker 6 (30:23):
Tom hey just add a quick question for. You well
may not be a quick, one but, HEY i shoot
an original smith and Lesson DEVIN b shield nine, okay,
okay WHEN i do my maintenance on it and stuff like,
that and of, COURSE i carry, chamber but WHEN i pull,

(30:47):
it WHEN i pull the original, round you, know drop
the mag pull the original round out of the chamber
and stuff like. THAT a lot of times When i'm
done with my, MAINTENANCE i put the original round back
in the chamber with the slide, back AND i rack
it back and slam it forward and then put the magazine.

(31:09):
IN i have, noticed AND i don't know whether you've
heard of, it but because of the taper crim.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
Crimp, yeah the bullets moving in the. Case what's up
the bullets moving in the, case isn't.

Speaker 6 (31:25):
It, Yeah, yeah it's moving.

Speaker 3 (31:27):
Forward that's actually very common the amount of crimp or
grip that the case has on the. Bullet it's not
made to take it being chambered over and over and
over and over. Again it's just Not and, so you,
know a couple of things to do is basically what

(31:48):
you could do WHAT i, do which IS i don't
unload my. GUN i don't unload my carry. Gun uh you,
KNOW i mean WHEN i cleaned. It, yeah but OTHERWISE
i take it, off but it stays loaded in the.
House So i'm not doing that all the. Time but
the other thing to do is just understand what's going,
on and rotate magazines and use different ones so you're

(32:09):
not putting the same round back or even unload the,
magazine the entire magazine and put it back in and
do you, know switch up the order so that you're
not chambering the same round over and over again and
subjecting it to the inertia that round going into the.

Speaker 5 (32:24):
Chamber and that was kind of my.

Speaker 6 (32:27):
Thought and so IF i do that and put the
put that one back down in the magazine and go
ahead and strip it out of the magazine and put
it in the, chamber then it will be. Fine oh, no, no, no,
no oh, no, No i'm.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
Sorry, No i'm saying this is how you prevent. It
if you have around where the bullet has already moved in,
it you could take it to the range and shoot.
It but do not have that as part of your
regular load out for life saving. Device. No once that
bullet has moved in the, case it is no longer
qualified to be part of your carry.

Speaker 6 (33:01):
Package, okay, Okay.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
So, yeah that's that's WHAT i would. Do it's it's and,
again this is a common. THING i hear it all the,
time and it really is just just what you. Describe
your chambering the same round over and over and over,
again and that slide slams forward and the bullet either
goes forward or generally goes back into the case a little.
Bit so, YEAH i would take that round and make
it a range, round shoot, it BUT i would not

(33:27):
make it part of my carry. Deal and after, that
you want to prevent that from happening by not chambering
the same round all the, time as you, know just
a different. WAD i know there's somebody out there, thinking, well,
yeah the way to handle that you should take the
magazine out when you're gonna unload it and then walk

(33:48):
outside and just shoot that. Round you know you were thinking,
that you know you, Were you get know it up to.
It it's, okay let's, see let's grab a less And Celine, Luise,
yeah hell less your own gun. Talk what's? Happening you?

Speaker 13 (34:03):
KNOW i just wanted to mention you talked about the midterm.
ELECTIONS i tell people to take that attitude that dealers
ain't running and neither is any fairy gotten. Mothers so
the human that is going to be elected is not

(34:23):
going to be. Perfect The republican is always going to
be better than The democrat these.

Speaker 3 (34:31):
Days especially when it comes to gun. Rights and you're,
right and the republic The republican may not be, great
but he or she is probably going to vote with
The republican block to help us on things like national
reciprocity and things like. That not, always but generally, speaking
you're not going to find A democrat who's going to

(34:52):
cross the lines to help us on Any Second amendment.
Issue so you got. That but, LOOK i appreciate the you're.
Right i've said it many different. Ways mister, perfect missus
perfect is not. Running we don't get somebody who is.
Perfect there's always gonna be a. Problem and people, say,
yeah but he does, This, yes but he does. That, yes.

(35:14):
Understand you, know Was trump perfect the first time he? Ran?
Knew was he perfect the second time he got? Elected?
No AND i said so, HERE i, said but do
you Want Joe? Biden? No do you Want Kamala? Harris,
no that's your only. Choice it's an ab. Choice it's

(35:34):
just it's like you're gonna get one or the. Other
perfect is not. Running AND i don't know why that
concept seems to be foreign for some. People they have
a little bit of a hard time understanding it or accepting.
IT i don't. Know it just kind of one of,

(35:55):
those really you do. Understand this is like big boy,
politics and sometimes you get people who you're, Thinking, MAN
i wouldn't invite that guy over to a, barbecue BUT
i got to vote for him because not THAT i
think he's. GOOD i just think he's less. Bad, YES

(36:19):
i agree with, you we shouldn't have to vote for less,
bad but that's like saying the sun shouldn't come up
in the east every. Day it, will and we do
less bad is what we end up with sometimes and
then maybe work on making that person better or finding
a better choice next time. Around but going back to

(36:43):
what brought this, up my concern is that people on
the gun right side voters are somewhat disappointed that they
haven't gotten everything they wanted out of The Donald trump.
Administration we knew that going. In i've always Said trump
is kind of middle of the road on gun. Rights
he's not super, strong he's not really, bad but he's

(37:06):
put in some good, people and he said he was
going to do some, things and he has done some good.
Things and getting Har Meat dylan in there is. HUGE
i would love it if she ended up being the
New Attorney. GENERAL i don't think it's going to. Happen
she may get a promotion and that may help us.
Out we'll see how that. DEVELOPS i would like to
see a course correction over AT doj headquarters BECAUSE i

(37:30):
think The Civil Rights division is doing really good things
Under hart Meat, Dylan but she isn't the one who
defends the gun, laws and we're charged challenged on things like.
That so that's a different division and people, say, well
why didn't she take care of? That not her department
can't do. It it's LIKE i, SAID i work in
the plumbing department And i'm going to fix the electrical. Apartment,

(37:51):
no it doesn't work that. Way but as we head
towards these midterm, elections which are going to be so
important on a lot of different, levels keeping The senate
if nothing else sly because Of Supreme court nominees And
Federal court feral justices and, judges that's critical that goes

(38:13):
through The. Senate you lose The, senate you're going to
have more debacles like The kavanaugh, hearings and you're going to,
have of, course lots of other, messes and you're going
to get judges and justices who normally we wouldn't, want
and then you're going to have to settle for. It
you're not in control of. It all that going back to, saying,

(38:34):
okay now would be a good time to start thinking
about your. Activism you Say i'm A Second amendment. Person, okay?
Great what does that? Mean do you sit at home
and Say i'm A Second amendment? Person or do you
actually do anything about? It do you make a contribution dollarsal?
Money because that's how things work to candidates who you

(38:58):
volunteer to help when you work the, Phones will you do?
WHATEVER i don't know what they need to find a
candidate and get behind him or. Her do's, something, Man
it's the case of talking to all your buddies and
saying we're going to go vote when the time, comes
when it's time to do, this we have to go.
Vote if you don't, VOTE i would just offering you
probably ought to just shut you out for the next

(39:19):
few years because you don't have a say in. It,
YEAH i. Know right, now it'll be a really good
time to call in to be part of the after
show where the three of us get. Together here we
have a bunch of fun and you can be a
part of. That give me a call it eight sixty

(39:41):
Six Talk gun Or Tom Talk. Gun either. One jason called.
In he's online, too got a good talk about twenty.
Two's Hey, Jason, HEY.

Speaker 14 (39:52):
I just got in the truck to go to a
different farm AND i heard you talking about the twenty.
Twos and that is actually my ranch. Carry i've got
an Old marlin tube said Bolt action twenty two and
iron iron, sights and that's my kyoka and that's my

(40:13):
go to at one hundred. Yards the thing is deadly.
Accurate AND i JUST i thought that was, interesting you,
know talking about how the twenty two is kind of
put off as A i don't know a. Playgun but
those things they're. Fun If i'm having a lot of,

(40:34):
PROBLEMS i revert back to my twenty five. Six that
is another flat shooting. Rifle at one hundred yards and
three hundred yards it's dead, on and that at two
hundred YARDS i actually aim a little. Low but no
THAT i did find that fun about the twenty. Two

(40:58):
when my kids were shooting competitively with Y HECK, nra
we had built some rifles for. Them they were bull
barrel with a ruger. Action And i've got twin. TUN's
one's right handed and he's left handed or left side, dominant,

(41:18):
yes the other one is.

Speaker 12 (41:20):
Opposite, okay.

Speaker 3 (41:24):
There you. Go, hey LOOK i got a. SKEWED i
appreciate the. Call good. Stuff there a lot of. Things
one of the THINGS i want to talk about WHEN
i get to the after. Show you've got to want
to have to tune into that a little bit. Later
Richard mann just posted a. Video he's talking about long range,
shooting long range hunting particularly and his take on, that
and it was it's a funny little clip if you

(41:45):
find it. Online it's, LIKE i don't, know fifteen second
little piece of, video but it's a fun deal about
long range hunting and his. Taken he's getting beat up
on the internet Over richard's, been of, course a frequent guest,
here a really good. Guy AS i look at this
stories in the, news we got a, shoot you got
A chick Fil. A we've got people shoving people off

(42:05):
of subway platforms and then let the cops shoot. Them
of course nobody else can shoot them because they're not
allowed to have. Guns. There chick Fil as In New
jersey can't have a gun, There well you, can but
be really difficult for self. Defense once, again we return
to this. IDEA i keep throwing it out. There, look
it happens. Everywhere it, happens you, know and nobody there

(42:27):
thought it was going to. Happen everybody there thought it's
a chick fil. A nothing bad is going to happen
there until it. Does AND i just, say what are
you prepared to? Do have you thought about? It have
you prepared for? It and, look if you Say i'm
just not going to carry a, gun, okay, fine but

(42:47):
at least give it some thought and think about it
realistically of what WOULD i do If and let me
just tell you from experience that once you start you
commit to getting, training really good, training you start carrying a,
gun it doesn't take you very long before you move

(43:07):
from carrying a gun is uncomfortable to where not carrying
a gun is uncomfortable and it really makes you nervous
to not have it with, you to understand, that OH
i really am vulnerable AND i have no way of
responding to a lethal throat out there that will change

(43:28):
your life right there all. Right in the, Meantime, look
if you're going to THE Nr. Show if you see me,
there flag me down on the. Floor we're gonna be
doing the show live over at The River Brute booth Next.
Sunday you can drop by and wave and. Heckle, yeah
that's fine. TOO i have. Fun in the, Meantime go
do some, shooting buy a new, gun buy a lot
of ambo and you know. What make a commitment to

(43:48):
carry your safety gear everywhere you.
