(01:16):
forty seconds to do so, so get yourself.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Ready, Rob on that note, who you trashing?

Speaker 1 (01:26):
I'm trashing the weather men, like we can't enjoy we
can't enjoy our time here yet, Chris. I mean, I
don't know what's going on back east, but it's just
been so wet. Like, you know, Vegas is about walking
the strip and having a good time a little bit,
and so far, I'm not saying it's going to improve,
but it's been really really wet and on Vegas Like,

(01:49):
I've never been here when it's been so wet.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
Yeah, so what have you been doing when you're not
on the show? So I just like, I went to
the Cazars Ali rated version please.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Yeah, okay, trust me, I was going to clean.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
I need this job. I'm not gonna do that.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
No, no, no, I just went to the Caesars Palace Forum,
you know shops Chris walk around, had lunch, brought a
pair of.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Sneakers, you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Just yeah, I know you needed some new I needed
new sneakers.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
You know what time? Did you get some Jordan threes?
Real nice? Just some Jordans threes? Can you see all ready? Yeah?
Can you see him with red?

Speaker 6 (02:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Yeah, yeah, I can see him real nice, like Jordan threes.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Yeah, yeah, that's it.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
And I did your red sweatshirt and all that.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
And I did Chris. Last night.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
I won some shekels Rob hop on because Rob G.
I always like to make like that.

Speaker 7 (02:48):
Rob wants me to be the one to break the
news to America that a multi millionaire.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
No no, no, but I always like to make sure
that you know me, Chris, I want to get verification.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
So I'm not telling you a wise tale.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
I always let Rob G know what's going on, right,
And I sent him the copy of I bet twenty
dollars in the slot machine, Chris. I won eight hundred
and forty two last night on slots, Yes down.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
And you know what I did right away? Cashed out,
went and bought you some. Jordan, bought some Jordan and Chris.

Speaker 7 (03:24):
Guess what I was like, You know what, Rob Parker
brought the luck with him to Sin City. Let me
put forty in, Chris and see what happens. And I
lost forty dollars in five minutes. So you know such
as like, see, Rob G, you not.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Meant for that.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
That's not your world, man, that really is hang with me, man, Yeah,
all right, it is the eye couple, and let's get
back to the football now. Obviously the big talk is
the Super Bowl, but also the draft, and the Chicago
Bears of course have the number one pick. They of
course need a quarterback. I mean, I guess he is

(04:01):
in the eye of the beholder. Some people think they've
got theirs and Justin Fields. Doesn't seem like they're gonna
keep Fields. Seems like they're going to draft Caleb Williams.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
And Albert Brier.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
Does a great job of covering the NFL. He had
a quote about Cliff Kingsbury, who is the new offensive
coordinator for the Washington Commanders, and it seems like the
Commanders obviously want Caleb and kind of seems rob like,
while he's not saying he won't play for the Bears,
that he kind of wants Washington. And here's the quote

(04:37):
from Albert Breer talking about Cliff Kingsbury's feelings for Caleb Williams.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Cliff loves, loves, loves loves Caleb Williams.

Speaker 5 (04:50):
Cliff said to me on the record, on the record
that the comparisons between Williams and Patrick Mahomes are eerie.
It's ear how similar they are. What do you think
about Dan Route.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
I mean, I think it's overstated, and you know, like
I just can't get over you know what they were saying, Chris.
You know, I teach at USC and all the buzz was, Oh,
Lincoln Raleigh.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
It could be a package deal.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
He could go to Chicago with Caleb Williams, you know,
like attaching yourself to somebody.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Oh Lincoln Raleigh.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
He's gonna be out, he's leaving USC and he's gonna
go to the NFL. And what did he do in
USC to go to the NFL other than having a
Heisman I get it, he's produced some Heisman Trophy winners, Chris,
but he hadn't done anything to go to the NFL.
And the same thing Cliff Kingsbury. If that was the case,
how come Patrick Mahomes wasn't drafted with the first overall pick,

(05:46):
you know, like like.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Mahomes certainly wasn't as talented out of.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Con No, That's what I mean, Like like the state
that is scary that they're the same. You know, Like
after the fact, Chris, we could sit back and go,
oh my god, how did nine teams pass over Patrick Mahomes?

Speaker 2 (06:03):
But at the time, at the time, there was no question.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
That he should be the first overall pick coming from
Texas Tech.

Speaker 6 (06:10):
Right.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
No, Look, I hear you. I mean there's so many
layers to this, Rob.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
First of all, Cliff Kingsbury, and I think he can
be a good OC. He wasn't much of a head
coach in Arizona, but I think he's a good offensive mind.
And you know, we'll see what he does is the
OC with the Commanders. But here's the thing, Rob, he
had a relationship with Kyler Murray. Yes, remember that, and

(06:37):
they went way back, and obviously that went south. And
the NFL is a different ballgame. And so Caleb shouldn't
just be about tying himself to Cliff Kingsbury. So there's that.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
I'm went you one d rise, Do not elevate Cliff
Kingsbury for what purpose? For what? What does Caleb Williams
have to do that?

Speaker 5 (07:05):
For the second thing, Rob, and look fit organization, coaches,
even the talent around you, that is all wildly important.
And Patrick Mahomes was in a great situation. I'm not saying,
you know, I think he's the best quarterback I've ever seen.
I'm not saying he wouldn't have been great, but he

(07:28):
did step in with a great offensive mine and Andy Reid.
He got to sit a year right, Yep, he had
Tyreek Hill. People forget Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelsey already
were Pro bowlers before he got out, Like right with
Alex Smith, they were Pro bowlers and he stepped into
that and the rest is history. Tom Brady, Rob, I

(07:54):
think he's the go. But Rob, had he been in
another organization, it's crazy to say he may.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Have gotten cut as a rookie.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Here's a sixth round pick.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
Nobody was expecting anything from him, and so he was
in the right situation and we could.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Go on and on and the right thing happened.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Drew Bludsoe got hurt right right like that, there's a
lot what if Drew Bloodsoe Chris never got hurt.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
I don't know they went on Brady. We might not
have seen them because they might have, say Adam.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Vin Terry and they win and he kicks the field goal.
Nobody's talking about Tom Brady.

Speaker 6 (08:29):
Now.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
I don't think they would have won like that with
Bledsoe because they had Blesso the year before. They won
five games, but still Blesso was one hundred million dollar man. Rob,
I don't think you would have got bitched. You know,
they would have probably been an okay team and we
never would have heard a peep out of Tom Brady.
And so, yeah, situation matters, and at the same time,

(08:52):
whatever situation here, you gotta make it happen.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
We saw CJ.

Speaker 5 (08:56):
Stroud do something in Houston, Rob, we saw Joe Burrow
do up in Cincinnati, and so if you're really that guy,
then you're gonna be great wherever.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
One thing that concerns me about.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
Uh, I don't say concern but Caleb Williams, he is
an off time quarterback, you know what I mean, scrambling around,
not like brock Party is about timing. And I'm saying
not saying brock Perty is gonna end up being better
than Caleb Williams, but I'm saying like he is a
guy that you know, stick to the script, right. I mean,

(09:33):
we saw him do a little ad libbing against Detroit
and it worked out. He ran, he scrambled, he he
made he had a big couple of big role Yeah. Absolutely,
and so but generally he's a guy that's throwing to
the spot, anticipation throws and right on time.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
That's not Caleb Williams, at least we haven't seen that
for the most part.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
He's a guy that's gonna scramble in the play, make
these great throws and my homes it was like that,
and still has that ability and still does that a lot.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
So I I do think Caleb's gonna have to.

Speaker 5 (10:11):
Have some timing stuff rob and maybe he maybe he
does have it, and we just haven't seen a lot
of it. But but you and I talk about it.
As much as I like him, and I do think
he's gotta be the number one pick.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
There's no sure thing in quarterback round.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
No, We've seen way too many guys who or or
Lawrence with Jacksonville.

Speaker 5 (10:36):
Everybody told us he may yet be a star, but
he certainly hasn't taken the league by storm like people.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
But thought they were talking about it.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Is all I'm saying, like, this is supposed to be
the next, the next thing since Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck,
and he hasn't been that yet. Let's just be honest, right,
he has not been, no doubt, no doubt. And he's
had some moments and had some good good play and
all that, and nobody said and he's a Ballman, Like
you say that that he can't.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Bounce back because last year was a step back. It
just no, they didn't.

Speaker 5 (11:08):
He didn't capitalize on that playoff win. They did not
take the next week. We thought that they would take
the next step after that year, and that's the point
every remember they were down twenty seven to nothing, right.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
And a great comeback in the second half.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
But every year, Rob, there's four or five quarterbacks that
everybody thinks are going to turn franchises around. And again,
I like Caleb, I would take him if I'm Chicago,
But you just don't know. I do think processing, decision making,
quick release, a lot of those.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
Things are what's important for NFL quarterbacks. And you know, sometimes.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
That's why I Rob.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
A lot of these quarterbacks that are great in the
NFL didn't light the world on fire in college or
some of them even went to smaller schools. I mean,
Mahomes went to Texas Tech obviously still Division one, big time.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
But you know, like you said, he wasn't you know nobody,
He wasn't the first pick. It was the tenth pick
for that matter.

Speaker 5 (12:07):
Ye you know, so it Jordan love Is was from
what was he North Dakota State or Utah State, one
of those Trey Lance. Now we don't know what Trey
Lance ish, so we'll see.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
But I like him. I would draft him if I'm
the Bears.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
I just think. I just think.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
If you're the Bears, Christ and you haven't had a
great quarterback since Sid Luckman, and you don't draft this
kid and he winds up being that guy, shame on you.
I'm gonna have to watch Caleb Williams fail Chris before
I before I not draft him.

Speaker 6 (12:42):
You know.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
He's gonna have to fail.

Speaker 5 (12:45):
Yeah, and you get to reset the financial clock too,
because it's about time to pay h justin like in
a year or two, so you don't have to worry
about that with Caleb. Jordan Love by the way, Rob
Utass State. So all right, it's the O Cup Chris
and Rob again. Is the trash talking Tuesday. So get
your trash talk ready. You have thirty forties thirty to

(13:06):
forty seconds to trash anyone or anything in the world
of sports. Somebody just said that Aaron Rodgers and Patrick
Mahomes are the best to ever throw the football. We'll
get into that next. It's the Oy couple. Grison Rob

a ghost town.

Speaker 5 (14:54):
By the time we get on the airs four o'clock Pacific?

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Right, No, but not even Atlanta.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
It was seven o'clock Eastern.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Everybody like, I see, like all the stations are full, right,
like a ton of people. It's not that noisy like
so you have an audience, it's a little bit like
we had before. Who am I performing? Is this a performance?

Speaker 6 (15:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (15:15):
Well you know me, I'm I'm a performer. I get
up on stage all right?

Speaker 6 (15:20):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (15:20):
Rob, Speaking of performances, mvs Mark kez Valdez scantly who
played for the Packers with Aaron Rodgers and now it's
with the Chiefs with Patrick Mahomes. He has some big
praise for his two quarterbacks. Rob g read is the
quote from MVS Chris.

Speaker 7 (15:38):
When MVS is not dropping passes, he's dropping names. Here's
what he said, I've played, Thank you, Rob. I've played
with the two best quarterbacks to ever play this game,
especially when it comes to arm talent. Obviously Tom Brady
is on the stats, but I think Pat's getting pretty
close to breaking some of those. And when it comes
to arm talent, between Aaron and Pat, they're equal. So

(15:58):
having those two guys been cordrection for my entire career
has been nothing but life changing. I'm grateful for both
of those guys. Great franchis with him. I hope I
can finish my career with Pat Man.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
That is very nice.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
But you know this, Chris, even Greg Jennings and you
remember they had the bad break up in Green Bay.
He swears by Aaron Rodgers as far as just talent
wise and throwing the football and whatnot.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
And who's the other receiver who we've had on before.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
He works for the He works for on Speak sometimes
Chris James j James James Jones another Aaron Rodgers guy,
right like, like I get that, And and Pat. You know,
when you're a receiver, you know these guys. Tom tom
Brady is I've said it to you a million times.
He's the most accomplished quarterback there's no doubt. I'm not

(16:47):
saying he can't throw, or he's luck, you know, like
he he he doesn't have any arm strength, or he
can't lay the ball in on you.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
But when people talk about, because Shannon used to say this.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
All the time too, about Aaron Rodgers the greatest throw
of the football, just the way that him and Patrick
Mahomes are able to put the ball throw people open,
I think that that.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Those comparisons are legit.

Speaker 5 (17:16):
I do, yeah, I mean, look, Aaron Rodgers is undoubtedly
one of the greatest pastors ever and Rob there before
Mahomes really emerged, there was a lot of talk that
Rogers was the best pastor of the football. But he
only got one championship and even only one appearance in
the Super Bowl, and so you couldn't put him in

(17:39):
the goat conversation. But if he did have, you know,
even a few more appearances, but you know, especially even
just one more victory, he wouldn't be in the goat
because seven is just such a huge number. But you
know he would have been, he'd be even more highly regarded.
Dan Marino Rob and obviously MVS didn't see him, So

(18:00):
I'm not blaming VA.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
That what people Christal thought that Marino was to goad
even without Yeah, I.

Speaker 5 (18:06):
Mean, because he put up today's numbers, nobody else was
coming close.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Rogers is great.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
My my biggest issue with Rogers and this, He's an
all time great quarterback, arguably top five, certainly top ten. Ever,
you know, in the big NFC championship games, he just
wasn't very good. And that's kind of my biggest issue
with him and his One of his claim to fame

(18:36):
claims to fame rob was that he just doesn't throw interceptions.
And yet in five NFC title games he's got nine touchdowns,
eight interceptions, and he's won and four and so I think,
like that's kind of a knock.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
I think Peyton Manning is a better quarterback.

Speaker 5 (18:53):
But if you just want to talk about throwers of
the football in this generation or you know, roughly like
pre or post Marino, I don't know that you find
two more, you know, better than Mahomes and.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Robin Bob you got something.

Speaker 6 (19:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (19:09):
I just think that in this sports specifically, but across
most sports. Actually, when you talk about the greatest to
ever do it, especially talking ABOUTFL quarterbacks, you say Tom Brady,
it was Joe Montana and the Chris you know, Peyton
Manny's got five MVPs. But when you ask people who
played footballer who watch it really cover it like that,
none of them ever mentioned those guys as being the

(19:29):
best throwers, are the best passers you've ever seen. And
it's kind of something that you see also like in
the NBA, outside of Michael Jordan, no one ever says, well,
you know, Lebron is just like the best player I've
ever seen. They're like, well, you know, he wins a lot,
got all these accomplishments, kareem.

Speaker 4 (19:45):
Well, there are some.

Speaker 7 (19:46):
But when people say Kobe too, yeah, they say Kobe,
and they say Michael Jordan is the outlier because he's
the one who has the rings.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
And skill set and Kobe.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
And that's where Kobe gets a lot of love, you
know what I mean, in terms of being a complete player,
any weaknesses, And that's what I think m VS and
Greg Jennings and James Jones are thinking about Rodgers at
my home.

Speaker 7 (20:09):
Just in terms of throwing the football, nobody better than
those two guys.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
Yeah, and you and you said it yourself. I mean
you you said you think that Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 7 (20:20):
I've ever seen, just in terms of placement, accuracy, armstrength
on platform on platform.

Speaker 5 (20:26):
But see that's where I think some I think with quarterback,
I think one thing that gets overlooked is what you
guys know, I call them the intangibles, decision making, processing, leadership,
you know, being able to galvanize the locker room, all
of that stuff, and that is where a Brady You're right,

(20:48):
Brady Manning.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Manning changed the.

Speaker 5 (20:51):
Game, Peyton, I mean calling the game at the line
of scrimmage. They're doing that in high school. Now it's
all because of him, not just your typical audibles that
they've done.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
And you know, for decades, Chris.

Speaker 7 (21:02):
How many people have joked about Peyton Manning throwing ducks? No,
he's no, he got five MVPs.

Speaker 5 (21:10):
But that's that's the thing, Like what whether it's great,
even Montana Montana didn't have the strongest, aren't, But those intangibles,
that's what I think that's huge for great quarterbacks. And
for instance, with Rogers, I'm not saying he doesn't have
any intangibles, but with the low interceptions, there was also

(21:31):
the feeling, remember that he's not gonna take some chances,
He's gonna throw it out of bounds or not throw
it at all to avoid an interception. And sometimes you've
gotta make those passes that are risky but to try
to make the big play that you need.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
So those are some of the intangibles.

Speaker 5 (21:49):
But yeah, just strictly throwing the football, but that you know,
that's kind of like just shooting. The best shooters other
than the Steph Curry aren't necessarily the all time best players,
you know, so, but yeah, it's it's it's interesting. MVS
has been blessed. That's why he needs to stop dropping
all these passes from these great quarterback man.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
Better don't waste it because you might you know what,
you might be playing with.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
Mitch Trubisky, Kobe or somebody.

Speaker 6 (22:20):
Right.

Speaker 5 (22:20):
All right, from Salims around the corner, we are live
from the tire rack dot Com Studios.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
Our next guest, former NFL offensive.

Speaker 5 (22:29):
Lineman, Fox Sports Radio Week d superstar, our man from
Salim from what our brother yo.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
Is he from there?

Speaker 2 (22:43):
Chris? Could you hear me? I don't hear now? I
got it?

Speaker 6 (22:47):
Now? I got it?

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Yeah, I got it? Can you hear me?

Speaker 6 (22:50):
Yeah? Man? That's a you out in Vegas. Man's partying
all night man, that's rob.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
I'm up in Vegas. Chris is in Joyce.

Speaker 5 (22:56):
I'm in Jersey, going to bed at ten o'clock at night,
hanging out taking That's right.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
He's got the he's got the wife and kids and
all that.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
Even I'm out here trying to, uh, you know, send
some young women to college and and and help them
better their lives.

Speaker 6 (23:15):
That's what I'm doing.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
That's right, I said.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Chris and I are both doing God's work, just in
a different way.

Speaker 5 (23:22):
That's all, alrighty from less, Before we get in any trouble,
let's get.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
To how what do you think?

Speaker 5 (23:37):
Well, who do you like in this I'm surprised San
Francisco is favored.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
I think the Chiefs should be favored.

Speaker 5 (23:45):
They've obviously looked much better in the playoffs than the
Niners have. But the Niners, you know, they haven't looked
great in the playoffs, and toward the end of the
season they didn't look as good as they did two
months ago. So do you think do you agree that
the Chiefs should be favored?

Speaker 2 (24:02):
And what do you make of this matchup?

Speaker 6 (24:05):
Well, when you look at it like this, you look
at the matchups in terms of offensively defensively and which
team wins those positions? Right, So we know for a
fact the position offensively is compared to San Francisco that
Kansas City wins. It's a quarterback, that's a no brainer

(24:27):
with Patrick Mahomes over brock Party. But if you look
at the rest of the offensive matchups, including the offensive line,
how many of those does Kansas City Winny not?

Speaker 5 (24:43):
I mean the line is close. They got a little
edge probably, but it's close.

Speaker 6 (24:47):
Well, I don't know if it's a little edge because
the Niners has the best left tackle in the game
and Williams I think, right, I think that gives them
the edge. And if it's close, the running back, obviously
Christian McCaffrey is better. When you go to the receivers,
obviously the depot and the gang are better. And then

(25:11):
when you look at the tight end for some like
it's it's not Kelsey by a lot. I'll say it
at this point, right, And then you go on the
defensive side of the ball. So I think when odds
makers are making these and people are looking at this
and you ask, well, how the hell can San Francisco
be the favorite? I think when you break it down

(25:31):
like that, comparatively speaking across the board by positions offensively
and defensively. The one we know for sure that Kansas
City has is the quarterback. Everything else Lean's and Leans
and San Francisco's favor are as questionable. So I think
that's why it shakes out like that.

Speaker 5 (25:51):
What do you make of the Niners defense, which was
great for most of the year, fantastic against the run.
This year in the playoffs, they've been getting gashed on
the ground. What do you make of that? And is
that something you think they can turn around? Because if
they if they get run on by the Chiefs, they're gonna.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Be in trouble.

Speaker 6 (26:11):
Yeah, if they do get run on by the Chiefs,
still be in trouble. But when you look at the
teams that they played in the playoffs and how they
had to get here, they were run heavy teams. Uh.
So you know, breaking it all down and looking what
they who they had to face in the playoffs and
who they had to beat. Uh, these are teams that
that lean heavily on the running game, with Green Bay

(26:34):
and even Detroit and so on and so forth like that. So, look,
game plans are going to be everything and halftime adjustments
are going to be everything this is. It really boils
down to Shanahan uh going against uh Andy Reid and
the type of adjustments. We know teams are going to
come out with the game plan, but the real battle

(26:55):
is one in the second half, So which which coach
can get their team consult the puzzle of the first
half and get their team on the right page for
the remainder of the game. With all of the hyperbole,
the long halftime, and the Kansas City Chiefs are there

(27:16):
geared to this because they've been there more time than
any other team in the last five years. So that's
to me. The game starts in the third quarter. Who
comes out with a different game plan made off adjustments
of things that happened in the first half.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
E from I want to stay with San Francisco and
what a win like they came back in both games.
I think they should have lost both games and they
won both. But the way that they came back to
beat the Lions and got it together and shut them
down in the second half after the Lions basically had
their way with them for the most part. I know

(27:54):
they scored a late touchdown. The forty nine ers were
supposed to be in the Super Bowl. They were picked
by most a lot of people before the season started.
I don't know what happened at some point, maybe they
the pressures of trying to get there and all that,
but what could just work in their favor, Like they
finally pushed through they beat the Lions or the hell

(28:15):
of a comeback, one of the greatest comebacks, and now
they can exhale and you know, and and just play
the game of the Super Bowl.

Speaker 6 (28:23):
But the crazy thing is, like you said at the
beginning of this question, it was, you know, for all
the ten's purposes, everybody picked the San Francisco forty nine,
right exactly. So when you look at their season and
you say, oh, they dip down here and they did
that and they had to come back, the end result
is what exactly what everybody thought. What happened them being

(28:46):
in the Super Bowl. So you have to look at
it like that. It's easy to take a game or
two games, or even your playoff games, or how you
ended the season, or a moment in between in the
middle of the season and be like, well, which team
is going to show up? But the end result, the
goal for them and most of the prognosticators including us

(29:06):
where the San Francisco forty nine represent the NFC the
in the championship game. That's what's happened, and so moving forward,
they're on schedule, right, it's not a deconstructional all we
got to do this week. They everything they set, the
goals they set out happened. So now, hey, guys, we

(29:31):
did it. The regular season is one season. The playoffs
is the other season. The third season is one game,
it's the super Bowl. How do we move forward here?
What can we do to make sure we accomplish the
remainder of our goal, and that's to be world champions?
And you know Kyle Shanahan, that staff, he's put together,

(29:53):
the team that he has. Now he's poised right now
to make a huge statement, which I think Kyle Shanahan
needs to make in order to be in the upper
echelon of great minds and great coaches as we all
see him.

Speaker 5 (30:07):
Well, we were gonna say, in about thirty seconds, can
you expand on Shanik because we know when he was
the OC with the Falcons and twenty three lead, yep,
and then even you know what ten points or whatever it.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
Was right to the chip.

Speaker 5 (30:25):
Yeah, so you know is all that at his feet
because you can talk about what he's he hadn't had
great quarterbacks, they were great enough to get you a
lead late and so what what Yeah, what happens to
him or has happened to him?

Speaker 6 (30:39):
Well, this is this is this is the next step, right,
we've all I don't think there's a question about the
type of mind he has, in the type of reach
and type of of legacy he's leaving coming from. You know,
his father Mike Shanhan, who I played under, also played
under Kyle Shanahan, has offered the coordinated when I played

(31:00):
in Houston late in my career. So like he's been now, Look,
Kyle Shanahan has a tree now, right, he has a
coaching tree. His father had a coaching tree. He has
a coaching tree. So when you're talking about coaches who've
populated the league with other minds and using his system,

(31:21):
Kyle Shanahan is one of those guys. Can he get
to the pinnacle? He needs this to be revered as
one of those genius mind coaches who were able to
finish the process. Right. It's one thing to be involved
in the process, be a part of the process, but
to finish the process. You have to be a champion,

(31:43):
and that's very high on his to do list. And
I think if he doesn't win, the question still remains, well,
can he do it? Does he need the type of
quarterback that's going to go down as one of the
all time grades? Does he need a type of quarterback
that's revered in the top three in the league to

(32:04):
get by? Because when you look at everybody who's been
in the Super Bowl, who's won the Super Bowl outside
of the outlier and Nick Foles the last you know,
ten years, they've had one of those copper star guys.

Speaker 5 (32:19):
Right, that's our man from Solon. We gotta run brother,
but great stuff has always have a good week and

were washed.

Speaker 6 (35:59):

Speaker 2 (36:00):
Was that the other day?

Speaker 4 (36:01):
Didn't he say that a couple of days ago?

Speaker 6 (36:04):
No?

Speaker 6 (37:16):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (37:17):
That's a good call round.

Speaker 5 (37:18):
Like, I'm not saying Kyrie necessarily deserved you know that,
but probably as much as Durant.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
I agree, But they're gonna give it to k D.
Might not give it right kind of reception. Kye I.

Speaker 6 (37:34):
Mixed.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
Don't do either or do both? That's all right.

Speaker 5 (37:37):
