It’s The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard & Rob Parker! Chris and Rob discuss whether or not LeBron and Lonzo can co-exist on the floor for the Lakers this season. The guys also debate whether or not Allen Hurns should feel comfortable enough to be critical of Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offense, and if Clayton Kershaw would’ve been better served having an Eli Manning-esque career rather than the first-ballot Hall of Fame track he’s currently on. Plus, two-time NBA champion and Lakers radio color analyst Mychal Thompson and Super Bowl champion and Fox Sports NFL analyst Greg Jennings joins the show! And, the guys deliver another award-winning edition of Shop Talk!

guests and about thirty minutes we will be joined by
Michael Thompson. Can't wait to talk with him, of course,
a member of the showtime Lakers, two time NBA champion

(01:11):
and father of the three time NBA champion Klay Thompson.
So we will talk to him about the Lakers, We'll
talk to him about the Warriors. That's going to be fantastic.
You don't want to miss that. And then in the
second hour, as always, we've got our guy Greg Jennings,

(01:32):
Fox Sports one NFL analysts, former wide receiver for the
Green Bay Packers, and he will be joining us to
talk all things in FL. So Rob, with that said,
how are you today? I'm doing just great. How are you?
I'm great, man, I'm awesome. Hey. You know what I

(01:52):
told Rob Gall producer, it was really hard today. I
went out and got the iPhone ten. Did you what's
the new one? The the x S max, the newest one,
and I guess one that they got. Okay, so it's hard.
It was hard to pay the money. It was hard

(02:13):
to pay for it. But I just said, you know what,
you know, I've been I've been winky dinking on the
phone for a while. What you have before? You don't
want to know what I had. Don't you have a Nokia? No?
This is am roll of Samsung. Okay, but but I
so I just decided that I was gonna like take
the leap and whatnot. And uh, I'm happy. I mean

(02:36):
that was It was just difficult to pay that amount
of money for a phone. But it looks like it's
gonna be worth it. A phone isn't just a phone
now not anymore. It's the TV. It's safe. No, really,
it's a music you know what I mean. Everything, it's turntables,
it's it's amazing. Yeah, it's everything. So you won't be regretted.
I think I might go out and yeah, you shine

(02:58):
is just so battered. Brew Which one do you have?
The iPhone? What? I think I got the seven? Yes time, Chris, Yeah,
I'm behind yes time. You know, I'm surprisedly your daughters
haven't been ragging on you about your phone. You know,
Dad get a new phone and you were like, I'm
not the most technologically advanced guy. I'm not either. I
always need help from people to rest for my stuff.

(03:19):
But anyway, Yeah, we got a great show Thursday night
football all that. So let's welcome in the odd couple
crew as always Chris, because you know what, we wouldn't
be able to do this fine radio show without him.
Rob g our producer Iowa Sam is our engineer today
feeling them for Alex. Of course, our anchor Deb Carson,
who will keep you updated with the show, and our

(03:40):
intern Daniel Today, so we got we're in full effect,
and of course the crew is behind the other side
of the glass. So Chris Broussard, let's kick some ass
and get started. All right? All right, well, look no
place to start, but with the NFL, and you've got
a big game tonight. Look, I'm with the players when

(04:01):
they talk about just how the Thursday night game is
really not great for players. You know, you get a
short rest in many cases, and you don't always see
the best football, and it's tough on their bodies and
all that. But I will say this, when Thursday rolls
around and there is a great game on the schedule,

(04:24):
I'm hyped. I'm hyped. I mean, I'm torn because I'm
with the players in that there shouldn't be Thursday games.
But then the fan in me is like, I need
my Thursday game, especially when you have one like you
do tonight. And that's the New York Giants against the
Philadelphia Eagles. And my question to you, Roy Parker and

(04:47):
to everyone else out there listening, is who needs this
win more? The Giants or the Eagles. And you look
at the records. The Giants come in one and four,
they just got their hearts broken, and Carolina right with
the ninety three yard field goal or whatever it was
as time expired and the Eagles who lost to Minnesota

(05:10):
at home, and the Eagles now are two and three.
But the good news is that the Eastern uh that
the NFC East is not out of reach for anybody. Really,
that's a nice way to put it. I'm stinking it's
piss poor, all right, piss poor, stinky whatever. But I'll
tell you right now, I think it's the Eagles who

(05:31):
need this win much more. And I'll tell you why
the Eagles are the defending champs. They got their quarterback back.
He's getting, you know, closer and better every week. And
I think that the Giants are the ones who are
wallowing and one and four. And if you're the Eagles
and you lose to them and basically become U two

(05:52):
and four just like the Giants, that's a bad look
for you. And and you're you're going the other way.
If you beat the Giants, you're three and three and
probably sit a top right tied for the rob g
wouldn't they be tied for the top of the NFC East,
So they would be Chris right where you want to
be and still have ten games to play, where the

(06:14):
Giants would be buried at one in five so it's
a huge game. The difference between being at the top
of the division and having a chance to get back
to where you want, which is another run at the
super Bowl, or for you to be one or two
and four with the New York Giants in the basement.
I think this is a huge game for the Eagles.
It's huge for the Eagles, there's no question, but it's bigger.

(06:37):
It's more of a must win for the Giants. I mean,
you say to yourself, they would be buried if their
season would essentially be over if they go one in five.
Not true for Philadelphia. Philadelphia is two and four in
the division where Washington leads it. At two and two,
you still have plenty of time to get back to

(06:59):
the top of this division. Yeah, but the only thing
is you're losing to a one in four team. And
I know it's a road game and it's in Jersey.
But if you're the Eagles and you got something, you
gotta stomp on the Giants. They'll just with you. They
just said they have no heart. He's ripping on the team,
ripping on the play calling, all the other stuff that's

(07:20):
going on. This team is wounded. Is blood in the
water that's my point. So I mean, look, I'm not
trying to say it's not a big game for Philadelphia.
It is. As I said from the start, both of
these teams need this game. But if you're Philadelphia you
can recover. If you're the Giants number one, you'll be

(07:42):
one in five in the win lost column. But beyond that,
as you said, all that is transpired in the last week,
I mean Odell Beckham calling out the offensive schemes, calling
out his quarterback. You know, we don't know how the
teammates feel, but some people have said the locker rooms divided.

(08:02):
How do people feel about Eli? Little Wayne doing at Eli?
But you're disappointed in Eli. But you're making my my
point already. I think you're already burying the Phillies that
Giants already done. They are done, and that's that's the
whole You have no expectations because this is not what

(08:23):
it was supposed to be. Once they got Beckham back,
Eli was supposed to have a have a running back.
Now when when they went and they drafted um, say
Kwan Barkley, right, all that stuff was supposed to make
it better than we did. The offensive line. So here
they are with all of that stuff done, and there's
still one in four precisely. So that's what I'm telling

(08:45):
you is that if you're the Eagles, you can't afford
to lose to this team. You can't get I did that,
it would be a huge downer. But let me let
me just put it this way. If New York loses tonight,
there'll be one in five. Are they done? Yeah? But
you might say that if the Giant Delphia loses tonight

(09:06):
and they're two and four, are they done? You? Will
you think that you won't? Will you think they won't
have a chance to make the player. I'm not saying
a chance, but I would say I would question what's
going on there after two and four? Well, and they
lost the Questions and lost. They don't look good, but
they lost to a dysfunctional, sad sack Giants team. I'm
sorry the Eagles. If they got any kind of moxie

(09:28):
or anything going for them, they gotta put their foot
on the Giant's neck and snap it. That I don't
want to see from the Eagles. I agree, but my
point is New York needs it even more. I think
you seem to be feeling like, look, the Giants that
don't matter. They're done. They got no chance anyway. Philadelphia
has got something to play for it they can go

(09:49):
to the super Bowl. So for them, yeah, you can't
afford to lose this game. I get it, Philly needs it.
You're right, the Giants are a mess. They need to win.
But my point is for the giants sea season, it
could be over six weeks in if they lose tonight. Well,
I don't think that's gonna be the case for Philadelphia.
I mean the Giants, they just talked about all the

(10:11):
locker rooms galvanized. Odell Beckham Junior's comments got us going.
We got riled up. You saw how well we played,
even though we lost to Carolina. We should have won
that game. We are back, baby Eli through for three
hundred something yards. That's the Eli that we thought we'd see.
We're ready. It's a new season. And then you come

(10:32):
out and get beat at home by struggling Philadelphia team.
It would be over eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
Who you got tonight? Who needs this game more? Chris
Bouchard's New York Football Giants or Rob Parker's Philadelphia Eagles.
I just think that Eagles can't afford that down the road,

(10:55):
if they lose this game to the Giants, they'll look
back when they don't win the division, don't make the playoffs,
and this will be a game that they let get
away with the team in trouble. And that's why I
think the Eagles need it. They can't afford to lose
to this bad Giants team that's in turmoil. They need it,
there's no doubt. I'm not saying they don't need it.

(11:16):
They need it. I just like the way you always
throw out the phone number after I do a mic
drop like that, after I give you the Eagles need this.
And if we were basing this on expectations for a team, right,
because Eagles got a chance. I don't think they'll win
the Super Bowls again, but you know they got a
chance to go again, right The Giants don't. So I

(11:37):
get it. From that standpoint, there's really something at stake
for Philadelphia and only Diehart Giants fans really still believe
that they're gonna do something this year. But I just think,
looking at it equally, if the Giants lose after all
they've been through and then after their attempts at a
positive spin, then I just think they've got ten more

(12:02):
weeks of worthless football to play, and I don't think
that'll be the case for the Philadelphia Eagles. But tell
us what you think. Eight seven seven ninety nine on
Fox eight seven seven nine nine six six three six nine.
We are just getting started and we've got plenty to

(12:22):
talk about. As I said, Michael Thompson will be joining
us in about fifteen minutes. But before we get to him,
Lebron James and Linzo Ball have only played one preseason
game together so far, and Rob Parker is already convinced
that this pairing won't work. Surprise, surprise there, He'll tell

(12:44):
you why. Next, it's The I Couple Fox Sports Radio.
Thanks for listening to The Odd Couple podcasts. Be sure
to catch us live every weekday from seven pm to
ten pm Eastern four to seven pm Pacific on Fox
Sports Radio. Find your local station for The Odd Couple
at Fox Sports Radio dot com, or stream us live

(13:07):
every day or the iHeartRadio app by searching f s R.
It's the Eye Couple, Chris Brussard and Rob Parker, and
we are brought to you by Discover Card. Because Discover
Card treats you like you would treat you, Rob Parker.
I know ever since, I'm not even gonna call it out.

(13:29):
I'm gonna give you the pleasure of calling out Linzo's
first shot last night in that exhibition game against the
Golden State Warriors in Las Vegas, his first game playing
alongside Lebron James. And I know, ever since he took
that fateful shot, you have been waiting to get behind

(13:52):
the microphone and say something. We're gonna get there. Just
can you give me We're gonna get there. Okay, we
got we got a couple of calls. Okay, there was
a Knight football. We'll get there. So that's our next
thing we're gonna talk about for sure. And uh, I'm
just all I'm doing is being an observer and a

(14:13):
honest reporter and not I'm my happy missed it. I'm
not cheerful when he makes it. It is what it is.
You seem cheerful. No, I'm not. I'm not cheerful. You
come off as very cheerful. Stop it. Sorry, All right,
here we go, Let's go to the phones. Chris Thought
the show with Nick in New York. You're on the
odd Couple on Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Nick, not much.

(14:35):
How you guys doing. I gotta say I love the show.
I think you two worked well together. I hear that
a lot. Thank you, buddy man. No problem. I think
this is it for the Giants tonight. I think they're done.
I'm gonna go out and say Eli gets sacked five times,
and I'm gonna say that this is the time where
this whole entire locker room crumbles. Wow, it could be
that kind of night. Yeah, look I do I am

(14:57):
picking the Eagles. I do think the Eagles are gonna
win because, as Rob we were talking earlier, they both teams.
It's really a must win for both teams, and I
just think the Eagles are better. They've lost two straight.
It would be very disheartening for them to lose three straight,
especially to these poor Giants. Exactly. And Carson Wentz is
back right, this is this is what that hadn't really mattered. No,

(15:19):
but no, but I'm I'm made. He's played all right.
They could be two and three with Nick Foles, you
know what I mean? Oh? Stop, they could They won
a Super Bowl with Nick Voles'll squeeze one more. And
before we get to Lonzo Francis in New York. You're
on the couple on Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Francis? Nothing, man,
this game is awful tonight there's the night football atrocity.

(15:41):
These two teams are horrible. It doesn't matter who wins. Sight.
If the Eagles happened to pulling out, they're gonna lose
three out of their next floor. They've got the Saints,
the Panthers, and I believe the Ramps. They're awful. They're awful.
Obviously they just won the Super Bowl. What do you
think is the problem now with them? What's happened? Why

(16:02):
all of a sudden are they horrible after winning the
Super Bowl. Maybe they've been there way too often, but
they're bad. All right, Thanks Francis, appreciate the call. Hangovers
ain't a Super Bowl hangover? Sty Let me tell you
something now, they're not that. I know they're your pick,
so I know they're gonna be We didn't get blown out.

(16:24):
A loss is a loss? Oh? Is that it? Yeah?
That's it. I mean we're not raving about the Giants
playing Carolina close. This isn't you know the y m
c A where you get points with me and clothes.
Everybody gets a trophy they're not that good. I hate
to break it to you. You're gonna you're gonna rule.
You're gonna rule the day you uttered that. Remember, they

(16:46):
are already talk Are you talking about the Lakers? Are
you talking about the Eagles? I'm talking about the Eagle
because when you say they're not that good, I'm thinking Lake.
Because you're talking, I've already guaranteed you that the Eagles
will not reach the super Bowl. Okay, that's a very
easy pick. But anyway, the Lakers. So Lonzo Ball last night,

(17:07):
Chris broussardify your fifty three win team, and I saw it.
I'm glad he corrected that. Fix his shot right over
the offseason, right, he's he's shooting it a little different. Right.
So his first shot last night wide open three. Let
me see, Lonzo Ball shot twenty nine percent with an

(17:28):
open three and with an open three last year, which
was worst in the National Basketball Association. And what did
he do, Chris? That shot was straight on. He hit
nothing air ball. And I know people want to go well,
but he played well. He had four he had four

(17:51):
steals and he had what else four rebounds, and yeah,
but he didn't play. But he didn't play well when
Lebron James was in the game. And that's the problem,
the problem. Yes, it is a problem. No, it's not
because Linzo. We're talking about Linzo. He's a role player.
At this point, he was the face of the franchise.

(18:11):
What do you mean a role player. Well, it's a
franchise that just got Lebron James. So Linzo Ball has
no bearing going forward at least for this is he
not the number two guys? Everybody needs a batman and
Robin because what should it shouldn't. Brandon Ingram's better than
Linzo Ball and he was the number two pick as well.
So how was he the How come Lebron Lonzo was

(18:33):
the face of the franchise? I didn't hear magic save
uh magic just oh misspoke and he knows it all right? Magic,
you know magic, Magic got caught up, Magic got excited,
Magic got hyped up. But he didn't yu spoke brandon Ingram. No,
I mean we went there when Brandon Ingram was drafted. No,

(18:55):
I know, But I mean he didn't see the talent
and think that that guy was gonna be the face
of the franchise. Rob went way overboard, you know it,
And I know it, and everybody knows. Here's the sad truth.
We're not gonna be talking about lins O ball very
much this season, no, because he has no bearing whatsoever

(19:16):
on what's gonna happen with the Los Angeles Lakers. He
I think he's going to have a decent season. I
think he's because he's got a lot. He's a good defender,
he can push the ball, his vision is great, and
he can rebound. And with attention on Lebron and Brandon
Ingram and some other guys that they have, Kuzman, he's
gonna get his share of point. He might average nine

(19:38):
eight nine points a game, and he'll be a contributor,
but he's no longer a key cog. If it's going
to be a duo that we talk about with the
Lakers this year, you know who it's gonna be. It's
gonna be Lebron, James and Brandon Ingram. Yeah. But the
thing is he's got to be able to work well

(19:59):
with Lebron. I mean that's I mean why so he
shouldn't be on the floor, shouldn't even be thinking about
being on the floor with Lebron off the bench, So
so Lebron, he won't play with Lebron basically, no, I
think he will. Here's the thing, and you saw it
last night. Lebron James is going to play differently this year,

(20:19):
or he's gonna try. Last night, even he was off
the ball a great amount. Lebron is going to be
off the ball more than you've ever seen him. Now.
I'll believe it when I see it, because I saw
some of it nights the preseason game. We did see it.
You don't teach you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
And I'll believe it that Lebron's gonna give up the

(20:40):
basketball to somebody else. I don't care who it is.
He He's played with the basketball his whole life and
I just I don't see it. He's still playing well,
so why would he change up anything and depend on
somebody when this team is built and he helped build it.
And the other part is what you're saying that lon
those coming off the bench and all the other stuff

(21:01):
you're talking about, so you could officially, I want you
to admit it right here on Fox Sports Radio on
three hundred and thirty stations around this great country, and
admit that Lonzo Ball is a bust because you don't
draft a guy his second overall pick for him to
come off the bench and play ten or twelve minutes.
Roy Parker, who is one of your favorite NBA players

(21:21):
of the last twenty years, who's one of my favorite
your piste? Stop saying that? Who? Hold on? Hold on? Who?
Who was it? Who was drafted second? He was a
lottery pick. Who you're talking about? Chauncey Billups. Yes, Chauncey
Billups first five years he was regarded as a bust.

(21:43):
He went to Detroit, resurrected his career and now maybe
a Hall of Famer, certainly an NBA champion. So I'm
not gonna sit here and not even into his second
year of play, called Linzo Ball, who really should be
a junior in college, a bust. No, it should have,
but you you should have looked at it when they
got Lebron and the whole ideas, why it's gonna be awesome,

(22:07):
we got this young hot shot. Uh is Ingram, No,
it's it's uh Lonzo. Lonzo is supposed to be the
flavor of the monk. It's about Lonzo. No, it's not.
LeVar is not even talking about Linzo anymore. LeVar knows

(22:30):
what time it is, no wonder they haven't even released
his second sneaker, the Zo two or that right they
what happened? All I gotta say is wa hopper, Lucy.
They haven't put out another sneaker. You missed it, Sam,
you missed the wine wine wine. You missed the perfect
wine wine wine. He didn't like what? All right, there
we go. The price is right now. Look, I'm not

(22:56):
you're ready. You're ready to say Linzo ball is a bus.
Now that he's a second, that he's on the bench
playing and he's gonna play like ten or twelve minutes. Yeah,
how much he's gonna play? Well when it happens. There
are players that this happens too, and they come around
and have good careers. Yeah somewhere I just mentioned Chauncey Billips, Yes,

(23:16):
somewhere else won't be here. Then, all right, Well you've
heard him. Rob Parker has spoken. I said he was
a bust last year after the first twenty games, and
I was right. He's not a bus. It's too early.
He's and incomplete. Right now, there's no such thing, you
know what a bus? If you could, if you could
praise Ben Simmons after twenty five games, and you could

(23:38):
say that uh Lonzo Ball was a bust after Now
the guys develop at different rates. They do. Got to
mention that Ben Simmons was older. You said the same
thing about Kwame Brown. You said, give him time, he
just needs more time. I did not. All right, Ken
Lebron and lines don't co exists with the Lakers. Michael
Thompson has the answer coming up now. But first let's

(24:01):
welcome in dab Carson Gentlemans. Happy Thursday. We got Thursday
Night football kicking off week six, believe it or not,
a twenty eastern NFC East battle from Jersey, the one
and four Giants hosting the two and three Eagles. Lane Johnson,
the Eagles tackle, is listed as active despite dealing with
a high ankles frame. Darren Sproles, the running back out

(24:23):
for Philly with the bum hamstring. Jaguars of signed running
back both Scarborough and added him to their practice squad
for now. Packers receiver geranom Allison his clear concussion protocol
and Panthers tighten greg Olsen has been upgraded should be
able to play Week six. Thursday's NHL Discover card Key
matchup is the Winnipeg Jets app and Nashville Predators. Puck

(24:43):

And finally, guys, if you want to watch Tiger and
Phil faceoff thanks Giving weekend, you're gonna have to fork
out the dope for the pay per view. Las Vegas

(25:04):
Review Journal says the Tiger filled pay per view golf
match will not sell tickets to the public to attend
the event, so you're gonna have to pay to watch
on the television. Will you guys be paying to watch that? No,
because I'll probably be here working at all. Hopefully, hopefully
our bosses will fork out the money. Asked me that again,

(25:25):
Chris asked me, will you be watching? Will you be
paying to watch that event? No? Way? No, how Ten
years ago, maybe I should have known that was coming.
I gotta be honest. I think Tiger's resurgence, you know,
I know he's struggling in the Ryder Cup, but his
resurgence when he you know, won that last tournament. I
think that makes this one on one matchup even more irrelevant.

(25:47):
Like that was good. I was looking forward to that
when I thought Tiger was done and this was his
only chance to win. But now that he might be back,
I'm really not that interested in this one on one matchup.
I would have been more interested if it was, you know,
ten years years ago, when they were super chippy with
each other, when both were at the top of their game.
You know that that would have been fun to watch
if they were putting up their own dough too. Yes, right, right,

(26:09):
all right, I'm not watching, so we'll just move on.
Yeah me either, me either, A watch for work somebody.
We will be watching and hearing from a lot this
upcoming season with the LA Lakers. Is two time NBA
champion Lakers radio color analyst and you can follow him
on Twitter at Champagne Nuts. I'm gonna ask what that means.

(26:34):
Champagne and nuts. Oh is that with that? Champagne in
nuts and nuts in champagne and nuts. So champagne in
in uts? That's right? All right? I don't I feel
like that should be the first question. But there's so
much to talk about with the Lakers. With Michael Thompson.
Welcome to the Eye Couple. Champagne and nuts, man, that's

(26:56):
like my favorite snack. That's like their favorite snack. When
I'm watching my soap operas and my sports, I like
to like to snack on champagne almond nice. Sounds good.
What about what about pistachios. You're not a pistachio fan?
Oh yeah, no, no, I like all those nuts man, pistachios.
I like them all. The only one I don't really
eat a lot of is probably one of those little
ones look like half moons pasta pista shiols. What do

(27:19):
you call those? Yeah? Those I don't even like. I'm
with Yeah, let's do. Let's get onto the Lakers, Michael.
What are you expecting from the Lakers this season? I
mean that roster, it the way it's built baffled a
lot of people around the league because they don't have

(27:40):
the shooters that Lebron James is used to. What type
of season are you expecting from this team? Fifty puns wins,
uh top four seat, top four seed in the West. Um,
hopefully the top three because I want to avoid the
Warriors in the second round. I don't want to see
them until the Western Conference finals. But you don't bring
the best player in the world Ben and surround them

(28:01):
with some talented players to get to the second round
and get eliminated. Chris, come on, you know better that.
When do you think Lebron's the second round? Our guy?
What has he ever been back? Well, it will be.
It will be in the Western Conference? No, not really? Okay,
Which Rossler would you rather have right now? Top to bottom?
One through fourteams, Lakers or Rockets. I don't I would
take the Rockets. Rockets are better. With the coach that did,

(28:23):
the system they have, the Rockets are better. I think.
We don't think the Rockets are better. No, not one
through fourteen, the Lakers next to the next to the Thudics.
The Lakers are the deepest team in the NBA. I
just I mean but that you know that might be true,
but that doesn't mean they're better than you know they
could be. They're deeper than Golden State then, but Golden States. Yeah, yeah,

(28:44):
like Golden State's top six or seven are better, obviously,
but one through fourteen, the Lakers are the deepest team
in the West. The only problem playoffs, Michael, You only
play eight guys. So the other six don't matter. Not.
Steve Kerr play is like ten guys, and so does
Luke Mike. Let me ask you this, I'm of the

(29:06):
I'm with you. I mean, I predicted fifty three wins
and Lebron James is the MVP. But I'm saying he
has to play off the ball and in the post
more than he ever has. I'm not saying exclusively in
the post, but more than he ever has in his career,
because this isn't a team that's built for him to
drive and kick for three pointers. Do you agree with

(29:27):
that as well? And last night I thought he was
off the ball a good amount. Yeah, he can afford
to be off the ball. Let's Laker team has playmakers
up and down as roster Land, Stevenson, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Ray,
Jean Rondall. All these guys can create for themselves and
create for other people too. So yeah, Lebron doesn't have
to handle the ball for thirty five minutes a game
like he had to in Cleveland or hockey time when

(29:47):
he had Kyrie there. He can play in the post,
he can go post uff, he can diversify his game,
as you know, if you're the best player in the world,
which he is. He can play anywhere and play any
role on any team. You know that? Why you even
doubting Lebron? What's wrong with you? Chris said this morning,
I told you I picked. I picked in the b MVP.
I'm setting the table for you to back me up

(30:07):
so Rob can be silence. Oh, I'm not gonna be silence.
It is the odd couple or Fox Sports Radio Michael Thompson,
two time NBA champion and Lakers radio color analysts, joining
us on the program. Tell me about Lonzo ball? Uh
and last year, I guess uh, you know it was
mixed reviews. I know it was hurt sometime. What about
this year? Will he be able to play with Lebron

(30:30):
at the same time? It seems like he needs the
ball and Lebron has the ball. Will it? Will it
work out that those two workout as a tandem, and
can it work? Of course he can play with Lebron's
they're going stronger this year. He has a high basketball
like you, He's just one of the many ball handlers
on the floor when Lebron is out there. Basically the
Lakers have when they got a rebound. They basically can

(30:52):
put five guys on the floor who could get the
rebound and lead the break if wants. Luke wants to
put that kind of a lineup on the floor, and
that makes you a more game receive going end to end.
Because when I was in the league, he knew who
the point guard was. You knew that the other guys
weren't going to handle it, so you don't have to
worry about them so much in defensive transition. Now, when
you have five guys who could get down the floor
and run like gazelle and lead the break, I put

(31:14):
more pressure on yous a defender. You guys played the game.
You should know that you saw You saw Alonzo's first
shot to three point of wide open. If you're Lebron James,
he's wide open, you throw the ball to him, or
look somewhere else, Oh heck care you throw the ball
to him. That's how you build confidence in your teammates. No,
he's not Kyle Corbor or clay or Staff or Kevin
Durant or Ray Allen. But he don't knock down a

(31:34):
share of those. He's got Byron Scott. But he knocked
down a couple last night after he got to lose
a little bit. That was his first shot, he tuk
after about two months of or not playing all season long.
So the letters and bother me at all? All right, Michael,
you mentioned Clay your sign up in Golden State. I
think this could very well be their last run together.
You know that. I want your opinion on that. And

(31:57):
that being the case, Mike, I'm saying they should go
for seven four wins. Do you think they could win
seventy four? And should they even go for it, they
could win it if the DeMarcus Cousins comes back and
he's DeMarcus Cousins see tom time around Christmas on the
first part of the year, and these guys are hungry
if they want to make sure secure that home court
advantage over Boston and Houston and make sure that seventh

(32:18):
games played an oracle this time and not I having
to go to Houston for the West Finals or have
to go back East if they have to finish the
win the series back there in game seven. Yeah, they
could do it if they really want to, they put
their minds to it. But as far as UH play
in the Warriors, I mean, they're not going anywhere they're
gonna keep them together, Chris, and while because they're moving
into the Chase Center, they're printing money up there with

(32:39):
that new arena. But Silicon Valley on the on the
of the companies they have up there that's coming on board,
the TV package that they're gonna sign after this one expires,
gonna probably be billions of dollars and they can afford. Durant. Kay,
I'm with y'all. I firmly believe plays Dan. I mean,
he's pretty much said it. But Durant you think is
definitely saying would you trade it a badley to drive

(33:01):
a smart car? That depends what it on was it
on sale? Bentley? He's not getting as much credit for that. Bentley, Hey,
he know that, Michael, You really are. You're suffering some
kind of a mental breakdown. Automatical two times, two time

(33:22):
NBA Finals MVP. You don't think he's getting credit? Are
you kidding me? Hey? Michael? How come? How come players
don't want to play with Lebron? I mean, and I say, well,
Kyrie walked away from him and then Paul George had
a chance to come back home in LA and didn't
even meet with Magic wouldn't even take a meeting with
the Lakers. And then you got other players who come out.
Jimmy Butler comes out and he gots a list and

(33:44):
it includes a Los Angeles team, but not the Lakers.
And then even you know stories coming out about Kawhi Lenna,
not directly from him, but from his camp that maybe
he's not interested in playing and he would rather play
with the Clippers. How come these guys are shying away
from playing with Lebron. I don't believe that at all.
Everybody has their own story. Kyrie wanted to head up
his own team, so he went to Boston. Uh, Jimmy

(34:05):
Butler would love to come to the Lakers, but obviously
Madi's not gonna get up his young core for Jimmy.
As good as Jimmy is, Matthews is not gonna do that.
He's gonna wait until next summer until somebody becomes free.
But I don't buy that nobody wants or the big
stars don't want to play Lebron at all, that Lebron
is the most respected player in the game. When you
see these guys around Lebron doing All Star Weekend, they
all get along. So I don't buy that narrative. Yeah,

(34:27):
but but then nobody's ever nobody's ever signed. When he
couldn't get anybody to come play with him in Cleveland,
He's never had anybody come and play with him, Michael,
never Rob, Well Robin. Cleveland didn't have the cap space
to attract another prime time freege and they never had
that kind of cap space. Though he tried to get
Chris Bosh to go there, Chris Boss said no, Well,
Chris is already in Miami, right, No, Chris, he had

(34:51):
a choice, he could have been chose Miami. I don't
blame me for are you guy? Are you guys on
in Cleveland? D Yeah, we're on in Cleveland. Well, I
don't I don't want to say no, don't say anything.
What are you doing trying to ruin our ratings? I'm
gonna ask you, okay, who who is in the NBA
Finals this year? And who is the MVPD And we

(35:13):
got less than a minute, Mike, all right, I'll try
to be objective. It'll be the Warriors and the Celtics,
all right, that's objective. Warriors win it. Yeah, of course
the Warriors win it. But but Boston's gonna give them
all they can handle, and and and and before they
get to the finals. The Lakers and and the Rockets
and the Jazz are gonna give the Warriors and all

(35:35):
the trouble. It's gonna be their hardest test or time
to get back to the finals this year because of
the competition in the West. Who's MVP Lebron? Yeah, I
think so. I think if, like I said, our predictions
come through Chris Um, the Lakers win the fifty two
fifty four wins something like that. Yeah, it'll be Lebron's
turning to get the MVP again. He's deserted in the
last ten years anyway, so he might as well give

(35:56):
it to him again. Oh please, Oh my goodness, I
got a headache. What do you guys talking about stopping already?
Put Lebron on any lottery team and they instantly become
a playoff team. Hey. How many championships did he win
in Cleveland? Real quick? Michael three? Right? One? How many
years he playing in Cleveland? Michael tu No, I'm asking you.

(36:17):
You know you're on with the He played on eleven
years in Cleveland. It won one championship. We gotta go
thank you, all right, Mike? You clearly. You see Michael
Thompson bleeds purple and all and why not? He won
two championships and he works for the radio. Right, all right,
everybody's equal, but some are more equal than others. One

athlete is learning that lesson the hard way. That's next.

a TV theme song Thursday, right there, Chris, you know

(38:09):
what is that? I have no idea what that was?
Ilwa was Sam? Basketball wise? That theme? Basketball wise? It's
oh that's basketball wives. Yeah, I'm sorry. I don't watch that. No,
I don't watch it either, but I know what it
is because I always Sam told me that the theme

(38:30):
songs have changed. Yeah, that don't sound like a TV
theme song to me. Yeah, funky, all right? All right?
Basketball wives school, Yeah you're new school, like you gotta
have one you could sing too and all that girls. Yeah,
we'll get we gotta. We got a plenty of shots
of lives exactly, strokes to Jeffersons. You gotta get to

(38:55):
Jeffersons on so we can sing to that. Yeah, we
need because Chris we got to sing to the Jeffersons. Yes,
oh yeah, of course that later and that was what
Loana from Good Time right singing it very good. That
was a great, great all right, let's let's go to
uh the UFC. Speaking of moving on up, I was

(39:18):
thinking about having that for dinner to night. Oh that's
the KFC. I'm sorry, why why hold on? Sam? Sam? Sam? Sam?
You gotta raise your standards for drum rolls. You can't
be giving drum rolls to corny stuff. Man. Well, I'm
a corny guy and from Iowa. So you know, I
thought you from Chris lived in Iowa really quick. Chris

(39:41):
was the only he lived on the black block in Iowa.
We integrated, We integrated Iowa. We appreciate what what what
part of the Iowa you from? I'm from Iowa City
where the University of Iowas. Yeah, I went to Dowling
High School. You heard of that? Wait you grew up
in Iowa? Well, for no, I lived there for two years.
Ye powerhouse yacht's lived everywhere. And if that wasn't even

(40:06):
in the military, I don't even get it. We got yeah, yeah, Sam,
I've never told you the first paper or that offered
me a job was the Iowa City Press Citizen. There
you go, man, you take it. You have struggling a
little bit now, but they're h yeah, I grew up
reading that paper. All right, All right, Well, I don't

(40:27):
know how much time we have to talk about cabeb
and the UFC. Just go ahead, we got a minute.
He's threatened to walk away from the UFC. They're threatening
to fire or get rid of one of his teammates,
a featherweight who hit Connor McGregor after the fight on Saturday,
and he's saying, if you fire him, then I'm out.
I'm done. And I like it. I think he's right, McGregor.

(40:50):
They put up with all types of mess from McGregor,
and now you want to, you know, jump bad with
some of these other guys just because they don't talk
trash like McGregor does. Chris, you gotta know where you
fit in. Is the best fighter, isn't the UFC. That's
who he fits in. McGregor just signed a six year

(41:11):
a six year fight deal. He's the bread and butter.
It would be would be like on this radio show
when we first got this radio show, and I thought
I was Chris Boussard and took a week in a
Ruba and did the show from there. It would be
like that, I know my place. Why are you dropping secrets?
Look at you spilling stilling beings. All right, it's the

(41:34):
Eye Couple. You gotta keep it locked. Fox Sports Radio.
Yes we can. It is the Eye Couple. I'm Chris Brussorry.
That's my main man, Rob Parker, and we're coming to
you live from the Gueco Fox Sports Radio Studios. Fifteen
minutes could save you fifteen percent of more in your
car insurance. Make sure you visit Geeco dot com and
get yourself a free rate quote. And we're counting down

(41:58):
the minutes to what I think is gonna be a
great Thursday night match up. There's a lot of drama
surrounding both teams, both teams, and about as big of
a must win situation as you can get to. Five
weeks into the season, the Philadelphia Eagles visiting the New
York Giants, and that'll be starting in about twenty minutes.

(42:20):
But before that happens, Rob, we kind of touched on
it last segment with Cabebe Nard Amago. Nuff uh what okay,
just cab. I tried. Stop, I tried. I even tried.
I wasn't even trying to be funny. No, I know,
I was just serious. I can't Yeah, I can't do it.

(42:44):
But Cabebe everybody knows him by Cabebe. Uh. We touched
on it with him in the UFC. You you have
to know who you are, right, And I think he
has a legitimate beef with the UFC. But still you
have to know who you are. And that leads me
to Alan Hearns and the Dallas Cowboys. Alan Hearns, of
course receiver wide receiver with the Dallas Cowboys, and he

(43:08):
just went off this past week. Uh. He was talking
to Joe Cina Anderson. How about Joe Cina, Joe Jina
has had a great week. Yeah, I gotta shoot her
a text. She's killing it. But he told Joe Cina
Anderson that the third down play call that led to

(43:30):
Dak Prescott's second interception of the game in their loss
this weekend was the worst play you could call in
that situation, A clear shot at the coaching staff. Okay,
and then when he was asked about it later by
Dallas reporters, he said that, you know, he was asked

(43:53):
why didn't Dak change the play, He said he doesn't
think Dak has the authority to change the play. Now.
Jason Garrett, the head coach, disputed that notion today. Here's
where he said. Doc is very good at the line
of scrimmage, you know, getting in and out of stuff
in the game. The other night we're in a lot
of no huddle type stuff. So he's got really good

(44:14):
command of that. And uh, he certainly has that freedom
to do that. It's not something that you know, through
the years we've done a ton of, but you always
want to be able to get into good plays and
get out of bad plays. All right, Rob here, well
he just he just lied on himself right there. He said,
is not a thing that we've done a ton of,
which tells you that he probably doesn't do it. And

(44:37):
just like just like he was setting and he said
he's good at it. Initially said he's good. But then
what do you say, we don't do that? You know
what I mean, we normally don't do it basically right
right well there, there, my here's my point. Rob alan
Hurs needs to be careful. Why because he's got eight
receptions for seventeen yards. I'm sorry for eighty four yards.

(45:00):
Does he come to work every day, does he practice hard,
does he do what he's supposed to, does he produce?
I don't know. They just threw him a ball seventeen
He hadn't even caught fifty percent of his targets. Okay,
so you've got targets that doesn't you need. Look, I'm
all for this egalitarianism, and everybody can speak their mind
and so on and so forth. But there's a pecking order,

(45:23):
all right. I'm not saying he's got to go out
there and lie and say, oh, it was the greatest call.
A lot of girl, a lot of guys left. All
I'm saying is, keep your mouth shut. You got eight catches.
You could be cut tomorrow and nobody would think twice
about it. And he could sleep like it, could sleep
like a baby because he knows that he was being honest.
I don't care. Oh that's nice, don't pay the bills.

(45:46):
There we go all the time. Only the only the
privilege get the right to speak. Why why can't who
You just said that, that's what you kaepernick privilege. You
just said no, you just about her. I didn't say
he couldn't speak. That you did, Golin Kaepernick. I supported
his right. Now you said hearns can't speak, that he
should be quiet. Now I'm saying be smart. No yourself,

(46:09):
you saying Cabede should be quiet. I didn't say that.
You say said you have to understand Connor mctand I
understand why they give him, uh McGregor preferential treatment. But
I'm not saying that a guy he's privileged. If a
guys being honest, if a guy is not, I have
a bigger problem. What do we have this year, Chris?

(46:32):
When Mike Sosha uh told everybody that the story about
him stepping down at the end of the year was
poppy cock and said Ken Rosenthal made up a story.
Is that what he said? That's what he said, and
what happened. He stepped down when the season was over.
It's the same thing. Bruce Arians did the same thing.
Oh that's fake news. I'm not going anywhere. Don't believe

(46:54):
that story. Lead different. All I'm saying is I want honesty.
If this is an honest statement, don't punish a man
because he's being honest. Now, if he's making it up, Chris,
I'm with you. That's still he ripped. He ripped the
coaching staff. And then is he the first guy the
ars to be an untrue? Is the first? Is he
the first guy to rip rip a coaching style? You

(47:17):
gotta be of a certain caliber of player to be
able to get away with that he got It might
not be fair, but that's life I'm living in. None
of us hold on rob none of us say exactly
what we feel all the time. There's time to have
an edit button. There is I mean, your wife, with

(47:39):
your employer, with your friends. Are you ready there's a
time to hav an edit button. Tell me you'll have
to lie, but you can just keep your mouth shut.
Tell me if you think I was wrong. When I
was a columnist at Newsday and I was on Chet
Copics TV show on New Sport, and Chet asked me
something about the paper or what you know something about
the column I wrote in the paper, And I said

(48:01):
that I didn't have much respect for most of the
editors over there, that they didn't know what they were doing.
That was a column I said that we're doing. You
were doing a good job, but I said that mine.
You had juice. You were known as a good columnist,
if they got rid of you, it would have been
a problem. If they get rid of Alan, hearns, it's

(48:22):
not gonna be a problem. Nobody's gonna think twice. But
he's gonna be looking for somewhere out way to pay
his bills. And again, I'm not saying go out there
and lie, but sometimes you need to just be smart
about a situation. As reporters, we always ask guys. So
many guys say nothing, They say cliches, they lie to us,

(48:44):
They tell us absolutely nothing. And when I say us,
I'm talking about the fans, because that's who the reporters
are there for. Chris knows this. Most of the time.
We don't even give a damn. We don't. We're not.
We don't care for the media, right, But it's for
It's about for the media, because we want stories, right,
we want drama. It's great for the media. But is

(49:06):
it good for the Dallas Cowboys for some struggling receiver
to be questioning the play costs and questioning the authority
of the quarterback has on the line of scrimmage. I
just heard him be wrong about it. According to Jason Garrett, didn't, well,
what are you gonna say? I mean, what did you
think that Aaron Rodgers Mike McCarthy, was that not honest?
He was Rodgers? Aaron Rodgers got the juice. My problem

(49:30):
is not I'm not saying lie at all costs. I'm saying,
understand your place at the company. Now. We can all
raise our fists and say that's right. Alan Hurns, he
told him off. But if they cut him and he
doesn't get another job, then what oh everybody thought? Dads

(49:50):
was the man too. Dad's be telling dads don't take
no junk. Dad's ain't a company man. Dad's bell telling
it like it is that your d is eight seven
seven ninety nine or fix eight seven seven nine nine
six six three six nine. Give us a call, let

(50:11):
us know what you think. Look, Rob, I'm all about honesty.
I'm not saying lie. I'm just saying sometimes you need
to it's better just to edit yourself and don't say anything.
Because if you only got eight receptions in five games,
then guess what you're expendable. Coaches always say, Rob, the

(50:35):
player's ability has to outweigh the distraction. He was asked
the question, he answered it he's become a distraction. He's
not a distraction. Everybody's we're talking about it right now,
we talked about Alan hurt any other reason, but then
she offers us a distraction and why they're so bad
that everybody asking Jason Garrett about what Alan Hurn said,

(50:57):
Dak Prescott about what Alan Hurn says, you get cut.
I'm looking to wear WI right now, not yet spe
he does it. I hope he doesn't, but I'm saying
you better be careful. You're better be careful because when
did you become a company man? Company man? And the
proof is in the pudding. I ain't no company man.
You're a company No, I'm no, I'm a I'm a

(51:18):
rational human being who understands the way things work. What
happened to your radical days? Where's your Dashiki? And your
and your and your pick? I got all right? Nah,
it ain't your beard down, man, You're a television responsibility?

(51:38):
Who told you you could grow your beard? Just skipping
Shannon says, sorry to grow a beard on television. I
don't have to ask, boy what I had to ask.
You gotta know your place. That show ain't called christ
and skipping Shannon. Look, everybody likes to get all you know,
like they're telling off the quote unquote the man, the man.
Everybody has to play by some sort are the rules.

(52:01):
You're paying your bills, you're paying your taxes, you're working
for an employer. You you ain't. I'm no more of
a company man than you are. What we all work
for the Cup. Just because you say you you say
that a player that runs his mouth is okay, that
means you radical. I'm radical? Wow? What what what have
you done? This radical? Oh? Hey, I'm radical when I

(52:23):
bought that I phone tend today and rolls of Nickels.
That's radical when you're going right right, give us a
call eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, it's the
Odd Couple, and we will continue this conversation, and we'll
also get into Jimmy Butler. Now he's not a company man.

(52:46):
He clearly not a company man, but he's gonna be
a company man for somebody, whether it's Miami, Brooklyn, whoever.
That's next. It's the Odd Couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Moving on up to the east to a d LS
apartment in the sky. Move moving on, moving on up

(53:09):
to the side. Come on, Chris, we finally ain't got
I can't sing, I know I can't fish, don't fry
in the kitchen, A beans, don't burn on the grill.
Took a whole lot of try in just to get
up that hill. Here we go. Now we're the big league.

(53:30):
Please just not with me? With me? Baby? Ain't it's
a TV theme song Thursday on the I Cup for Yes, indeed,
that's one of the best TV theme songs of all time.
No doubt. She jamming too. Oh it's a great song. Chris,

(53:53):
you got some trouble with that, huh. I can't sing
at all? No, you know the rap I used to
be a dolt, WRAP could not. I don't believe you
are a rap. I was, I was, and I was
actually a radical rapper. But you know what's to let
you know? I'm sure you were a rapper. So you
know you are a rapper at Ma's during Christmas time? Right?
Is that what you were? Why? You know what I

(54:16):
was thinking when you were singing that though, was that
I was like, who who sings that? Who sings that song? Rollona?
Let's keep it that way? Oh wow, look at you
fell for that one. I know. It's the eye couple
of Chris Brussar and Rob Parker promise no more singing,
I know that I had you. I'm sorry, just like
our singing No Rob. Car shopping can be confusing terms

this Jimmy Butler's situation Rob just keeps getting more and

(55:03):
more confusing and crazier and crazier. So you've heard the
latest right today. Yesterday, of course, Butler orchestrated, you know,
a return to Timberwolves practice, and he played tremendously by
all accounts, but also was going hard at teammates, going

(55:24):
hard at coach Tim Thibodeau and his staff, and going
hard at Jim Scott Layton. Then he sits down with
Rachel Nichols, who somehow just happened to be in Minnesota.
So how that word an interview? Wow, she got emails
from Jimmy and his crew to be there two days earlier,
to be there, But anyway, so that happens yesterday, and

(55:46):
then today the Timberwolves canceled practice and reportedly Jimmy Butler
called a players only meeting and told the players, you
know how he feels about management and organization and his
feelings so on and so forth, and also reiterated that
he's running this whole thing. That's according to Sean Serenia

(56:10):
of The Athletic All right now, Jeff Teague, the starting
point guard for the Timberwolves, comes out and tweets at
Sean Serenia that that's fake news that there was no
players meeting. Jimmy then contacts Rachel Nichols or confirms to
her that there was indeed a team meeting. So we

(56:32):
really don't know if there was or wasn't a team meeting.
But the situation's getting crazy, and I think that Jimmy
I like that he is standing up for what he wants,
but it's kind of confusing. Like yesterday and is sitting

(56:56):
down with Rachel Nichols of ESPN, he said, it's about
out winning right in one hand, one breath, he said,
it's about winning. But if it's about winning, why do
you want to leave a great player a perennial All
Star in Carl Anthony Towns who hadn't even reached his
prime yet. And Andrew Wiggins, who, while he's not a

(57:17):
superstar bust, he's a very good bust. Yeah. Every's twenty
four points a game the year before. Butler got there
on a really good third option, third option. But he
wasn't supposed to be a third option. But if you
have Jimmy Butler option, come to Anthony Towns is a second.
I'm just talking about Wiggins when he when he's in
people were talking about this guy, uh, Chris, like he

(57:39):
was the next thing they talk about every best college player,
like bust, he's a third option. Is he a bust? Yeah?
But he wasn't. He wasn't always a third option. He
was a first option in Minnesota for a long time.
Wiggins could go to a bad team and be a
first option. He's only not a first option. I heard
so much about Wins and I just can't get over

(58:01):
where he is. And so Wiggins doesn't have a great motor.
That's his main problem. The Giants, could you pick? Who'd
you pick in this game? Eagles? Okay, you were with me?
Great way to start Giants I think, my goodness. But anyway,
let's let's get let's keep with Butler. And so you

(58:24):
say it's about winning, but you want to leave this
team and go to Brooklyn, Miami, the Clippers or the Knicks,
none of who are winning teams and look to be
winning teams in the foreseeable future unless they can get
some free agents. But we don't know if that's gonna happen. Okay,
is it? Then you say it's about just wanting to
be one. Giants have the ball, Giants have the ball. Okay.

(58:46):
You say it's about just wanting to be wanted. Okay,
but they offered you the maximum contract extension. They could
offer you four years, one hundred and ten million. Yeah,
but that's not that's not of good money to get
better money, right, and he was. He turned it down.
They understood, right, turned it down. I mean he was
supposed to turn it down because this summer they could

(59:07):
offer him five years, one hundred and eighty eight million.
I've not seen a report. Maybe I missed it, but
I haven't seen a report that it said they have
told him they're not going to pay him. Now. If
they've said that to him, that's fine. But he hasn't.
He didn't say that yesterday. So now I'm just wondering,

(59:27):
what is it that Butler wants. He wants out of
Minnesota and we understand that, but why he hasn't told
us why, And it's it's just kind of confusing. But
you know, Chris, that's all I'm saying. But you you
also know that maybe they did tell him that you're
not gonna get the max and and you know, once
once you realize they're not going to take care of
you and they've taken care of other players. Right. If

(59:50):
that's the case, I would understand because he is their
best player. But Towns didn't he just get the big contract. Yeah,
but players got to understand Towns could get the big
contract because of the place he was at in his
career and get it. But I'm just saying they offered
Butler as much as they could, but it's not enough.
I know. I'm just saying, but he maybe he just

(01:00:10):
thought he wants to move on. Maybe maybe wanted them
to restructure, meaning get rid of some other players so
that they could offer him more money, but they didn't
do that. Right, Well, maybe I can't blame him for that,
and maybe and maybe that's part of it. There's something
underlying that's more than just uh, he just wants to leave,

(01:00:33):
just to leave, do you know what I mean? There's
a degree that's That's what I'm saying. Confusing is we
just don't know yet, and it might come out in
the wash later, Chris, but this, you know, and I
know that you just don't decide to leave just to leave.
There's there's something up, an understory, a backstory that we
just haven't been privy to yet. My personal belief and

(01:00:54):
there's nothing wrong with this, but wow, if we're gonna
this is I'm not gonna do the giants. I was
it was tipped in, but hey, it still was a
bad pass. Yeah right in their territory too. You couldn't
start any worse, am I Right? Yeah, that's a dangerous pass.

(01:01:18):
Did you see that? I thought they were galvanized, that's
what they said. I thought everything was hunky dory. Now
listening to little Wayne in practice, is that what it was?
It's gonna be a bad week in New York if
they lose this one. Yeah, that's a bad pass. You
can't throw that. It's dangerous. The defenders all over him.
You saw why they about to plug it in and
go up seven zero. Right, all right, but give us

(01:01:41):
a call eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Do
you agree with the way Jimmy Butler's handling this thing?
Or do you not? Now? One executive told me Rob yesterday.
He said, in the NFL, players hold out. In the NBA,
they act out to get out. That's right, because there

(01:02:02):
the NBA's collective bargaining agreement really doesn't make sense to
hold out if you're a player, No, no, because then
you could just start losing. You But Jimmy Butler and
other players have done it before him. They become such
a disruptive force with the team that the team may

(01:02:22):
have no choice but to pay but to trade him.
What I think the Timberwolves should do is try keep
Jimmy Butler for a little while, let the season play
out a little bit, because you still you have till
February to trade him. See, if you know, he's a warrior,
he's gonna play, he's gonna play hard, he's gonna play well.

(01:02:45):
So see if you get off to a nice start,
See if you start winning, and then maybe things will
be looking better. And then you go to Jimmy at
some point with still plenty of time before the trade deadline,
and say, look, we're play at well hope you hope
you can convince him to stay. But if he doesn't want,
if he's still like I want out, if here, then

(01:03:08):
you can move him. But give yourself that chance. He's
gonna play hard, and I think that's the best thing
for the Tables and I actually think that that is
the road that they are going to take, all right.
Moving on, a guy like O b j Odell Beckham
Junior has every right to question his quarterback, but a
guy like Alan Hearn does not. Our FS one teammate

(01:03:31):
Greg Jennings will be along and later in the show
to tell us why. But first let's get to Dab
Carson for the latest in sports. Well, it's already rough
for the Giants. Second and two on the opening drive,
Eli Manning was picked off, tried to get the ball
into his tight end, Simonson picked off by Crew J. Hill,
and now Carson Wentz has just tossed a touchdown pass

(01:03:52):
to Alshon Jeffrey. Looks like they are going to review
the play, yeah, and I think they're declining. Well, it's
against the Giant yeah, I believe so, So let's see. Anyway,
we will keep you pushed on this obviously. If it
stands and if they have a kicker they can make
an extra point, it'll be seven nothing against Still very early,

(01:04:13):
thirteen fifteen to go in the first quarter. I Meanwhile,
former Panthers receiver Ray Caruth will be released from prison
October twenty second. He served nearly eighteen years in prison
following his conviction for conspiracy to commit murdering connection to
the shooting death of his ex girlfriend. Hard to believe
that's been eighteen years ago. NBA News thunderguard Russell Westbrook

(01:04:34):
is progressing. Still hasn't been cleared for full contact practice, though,
according to coach Billy Donovan, Westberg had arthroscopic surgery on
his right knee September twelfth. We'd like to fix our
golf games, of course. Thankfully, you can find a fix
for our check engine light at auto zone. The free
Auto Zone Fixed Finder tool will find the likely issue,
saving you money down the road. Get in the zone

(01:04:55):
AutoZone and finally could be but Norma gametof and Connor
mcgret being suspended at least ten days by the Nevada
Athletic Commission for the Brawl Outside the Octagon after their
fight last weekend in Vegas. The panel, though, could still
choose to extend the band when it eats October twenty
fourth to review the investigation. A dep Yeah, that way

(01:05:15):
carew story. I can't believe. I'm with you. That was
eighteen years ago Daddy served, Yes, but how long ago was?
And I'll never forget that. Those one of the most
horrific stories I've ever heard. Oh, it is absolutely and obviously,
you know, it's very complicated. Obviously that he now has
a son that uh, the the ex girlfriend was carrying.
And it'll be interesting to see. I know he wanted

(01:05:37):
the kid, I know, I know he wanted and there's
been tension at one point. The woman's mother, I think
want you know, forgave him and wanted him to be released.
And so it's going to be interesting to see how
this plays out. But what a sad, sad story, awful awful,
awful story. Hopefully he turns the second chance into a
lot of good because it was. It's a horrific story,
no doubt, Yeah, it was. It was unbelievable. I still

(01:05:58):
remember where I was, remember exactly where I was reading
that story. What we at the I remember being at
an NBA also Reno something. I don't know what exactly.
When that was, I remember I was covering. It was
early I was writing for the New York Times. Are
you and I was in the office reading that story. Okay,
and yeah it was. It was terrible? All right, Dad,

(01:06:20):
thanks a lot. It's the Odd Couple, Chris Bruce a
Rod Parker. Car shopping can be confusing terms like dealer,
price list, price invoice. What True Car shows you what
you really need to know? What did other people pay

(01:06:43):
buying experience. And it's always every Thursday. We like to
bring in our Fox Sports NFL Analyst Super Bowl champion,
none other than Greg Jenny's Gregg. Welcome to the Odd Couple,
Yo yoso with on my two favorite people. What's up?
But I'm great? You sound good. You sound cozy? Yes,

(01:07:09):
nice and cozy man. I can't complain, you know, I
never play anyway well all right, I'm gonna ask you this, Greg,
We're gonna get right to it. Yes. Yeah, you heard
Alan Hearns' comments about the play call on third down
that led to Dak Prescott's interception second interception this week
when he said it was the worst possible call you

(01:07:30):
can have in that moment, and then he said Dak
may not have the authority to check down. And I'm
what I'm saying is this, Alan Hearns has to be
careful because he only has eight receptions for eighty four
yards this year, and he could easily be replaced. He
needs to have an edit button and be careful what

(01:07:52):
he says. That's my take, Am I right or wrong?
You're using right? Yes, man, Look, let me tell you something.
Nobody wants to hear something like that. And again I
respect where he's coming from, but to keep that in house,
we don't need to hear that publicly because your statistics
and this, you know, this is what everybody looks at.

(01:08:15):
Doesn't merit you the platform or the credibility to say
whatever you want to say. Nobody's going to really look
at you and see, oh, yeah, he's credible because he
has forty receptions four hundred yards four filet touchdowns. No,
he hasn't. He doesn't. He doesn't have those statistics backing
his statements. So with that being said, you can't make

(01:08:38):
that type of comment a statement, and you haven't shown
the production that gives you that that platform. And so
I get it. I get what. I understand what he's saying.
He's frustrated. I get that, But at some point you
gotta just say, look, let's just make sure when we
go out there, whatever plays that are called, we have

(01:08:59):
to execute. This is the issue that I have with
a lot of teams, uh and and and a lot
of quarterbacks sometimes that that I want to talk even
I said this about Aaron Rodgers last week, like he
mentioned the play calling will at least go. No, you
know what you have to work with. Now it is
up to you as competitors, make it work, make it happen.

(01:09:22):
So what So what your take on on Odell Beckham Junior?
So how did you take his comments about Eli and
about the team not having hard and that? Again, you
look at you look at the situations, you look at
who's saying it, and Art is incredible. Can I take

(01:09:43):
what he's saying and then look at his level of
play and say, well, yeah, I mean I gotta kind
of listen to him because he's bought. But just because
you have numbers doesn't mean that, or you don't have
numbers doesn't mean it's an honest answer. Rob, I'm when
I'm telling you're right. But when I'm telling you is
if your production is there, you are more. You have

(01:10:06):
everyone's ear. When your production is not there, you don't
have that. So what you say you have to be careful,
you can easily replaced, like like Chris is saying, when
you look at O'Dell, you're not replacing him. You're not
going out to find the next a Dell. But no,
you're not doing that. So he has that ability to

(01:10:27):
say those things, and he's that guy in the locker
room where if there's an issue, you're gonna say, hey, man,
you need to go say something to coach because you
know you're the only one that he can list Your
years in the NFL. Did you ever see anybody get
get cut for commenting on a player? Did you ever
remember anybody? I never remembered anybody getting cut. I remember

(01:10:47):
guys getting cut for mishandling an onside kick or a
kick or missing on the field, a game winning chip shot.
Those guys I've seen get cut. I've never seen anybody
get cut over making an honest common Now, if you're
making up stories or or falsifying stuff, I'm asking you, Rob,
I'm gonna say no. Because for the for the most

(01:11:08):
part almost mind title. I don't think there was ever
anyone who said something that shouldn't have been talking in
the first place. So when you when you say that,
I get what you're saying just because it's truth. It
doesn't matter where it has to come from and who
it comes from. But my point is you had to

(01:11:29):
Chris's point, you gotta be careful because your production doesn't
give you that that platform or that level of responsibility
to say, hey, uh, this play you just calling out
the offensive coordinator. The play call was terrible. But because
if it, if it works, is the play call terrible? Right? Well,

(01:11:51):
you you mentioned the Giants and Odell Beckham Junior. They're
obviously playing the Eagles as we speak. Both of these
teams really need this win. But who do you think
this win is more important to the Giants or the Eagles?
Who needs it more? As a great thing, they both
needed but I think the Giants needed a lot more.
And here's why. When you look at when I look

(01:12:12):
at the Philadelphia Eagles, I say, if they lose this game,
they'll still be fine. I still believe that they'll win
the division. They have the better team moving forward. When
I look at the Giants, do you look at them
last year? They started off on five, then they went
to Denver, they had all those injuries. Nobody thought that
they would win. In Denver, they pull out a win.
They pull some magic out of his hat and they

(01:12:33):
sprinkle it on in Mile High and they walk away
with a win. Tonight. They need that. And when you
think about everything that's been said about Eli Manning, I
think he has to play well. He's already thrown the interception.
Whether it was his father or not, he's thrown an
interception already tonight. He has to play well because the
bull's eye, the conversation is based on him and his

(01:12:57):
lack of production. So to me, I'm looking at a
team that I expect to come out with their so
called quarterback who was the face of every team leave them.
It has to be the New York Football Giants tonight.
How about the we debated the other day. You know,
here we are after four games, a quarter of the

(01:13:18):
season into Game five, But who's been the most disappointing
team in the NFL? Who do you have at the
top of that list? Chris picked Atlanta and I picked
the Giants, right, Chris, the most disappointing team. I think
for me, when I look at I mean, those are

(01:13:40):
two really good picks. I would go Atlanta having been
down there, had called their game knowing the expectations that
were on them, not only that we all have for them,
but that they had for themselves. It's kind of like
what we thought of the New York Giants last year.
They had all this talent coming and then all the

(01:14:01):
injuries they got, they got had to overcome all those injuries,
and then they fizzed out to be nothing. The injuries
that they haven't incurred has really crippled them and they
can't get over it right now. And regardless of what
they do. They they've shared up their red zone issues
that we thought were problematic. They've done that, and they

(01:14:24):
just can't stop anybody. And it's it's really disappointing because
you expect more out of the Atlanta Suckers last question.
We gotta be quick on this one, Greg. It's the
eye couple Chris Brush and Rob Parker with Greg Jennings.
Big matchup in the AFC this weekend coming up, New
England and Kansas City. Who do you like in that one? Um?

(01:14:47):
I like, I like New England and that one I do.
I like New England for this simple fact, all this
hype and rightfully so, surrounding Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady not
trying to hear that in this house. He's not trying, period, period,
He's not. He doesn't want them to walk away with
anything more less than an al like bottom line. That

(01:15:10):
that's that's, that's all that needs to be said. With
that broken down Patriots defense, I'm not buying Greg. We'll
see what that Kansas City defense is so tough, right,
nobody right exactly? Well, but the Patriots defense is Greg
Jenning's great job. I think you were five for five
on this uh tonight you agree with me? I think
on all five, Greg, you know what that means. You

(01:15:32):
don't know what You don't know anything about football, That's
what that all right? Man, thanks a lot, We'll see
you soon, all right, but thanks all right? Rob Parker
says it's time for this superstar to start playing more
like Eli and less like Peyton. He'll explain next, It's
the Odd Couple of Fox Sports Radio. Be sure to

(01:15:54):
catch live editions of The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard
and Rob Parker week days at seven pm Ecific. It's
the I Couple of Fox Sports Radio Chris Bruce Sard
and Rob Parker. Or this TV theme Sean Song Thursday,
and that of course is the Big Bang Theory. We

(01:16:14):
are coming you live as always from the Geico Fox
Sports Radio studios. It's easy to say fifteen percent or
more in your car insurance with Geico. Go to Geico
dot com or call eight hundred nine four seven a
ut O. The only hard part figuring out which way
is easier. And of course Rob, this weekend, you got
the Brewers and the Dodgers, and I think what's gonna

(01:16:37):
be a great National League Championship series? And even more
than that, how much do you think this? You know,
you got Clayton Clark Kershaw starting Game one for the
Dodgers after not starting the previous series in the division round,
divisional round. Um, how much does his perform in this series?

(01:17:02):
You know, impact his legacy. I mean, we know he's
an all time grade Hall of Famer all that, but
you know, he hadn't been great in the postseason. This
is why when people talk about are like, we're watching
Eli ripping on Eli. Eli has not been Chris a
great regular season quarterback. His numbers are very average to
below average. They really are. But you can't take anything

(01:17:26):
away from him from those two super Bowls. In both
Super Bowls, he made unbelievable throws to help the Giants
win Super Bowls. They beat the eighteen and old Patriots.
They beat the Patriots and Tom Brady twice in fact,
and Eli was the MVP. And I just wonder we
all know that Clayton Kershaw is the greatest picture of

(01:17:47):
all our generation Chris right that we're watching regular season,
he's been unbelievable, ye, but I would trade those unbelievable
regular seasons anytime to be able to get a World
Series run where Clayton Kershaw can win a World Series,

(01:18:08):
because that's what's so glaring. That's all. I would give
up all the if I was a fan, give up
all the regular season wins and all other stuff that
he's done that I've marveled at to have one or
two World Series. The Dodgers haven't won a World Series
in thirty years, and they have one of the greatest
pitchers in baseball. They need Clayton Kershaw to help them

(01:18:31):
win a World Series. But here's the the Eli Manning
is unique in that you rarely see, I think in
any sport. I mean, we're talking about baseball and football,
but you rarely see the mediocre regular season guy get
to the postseason and be just fantastic. You may see
a mediocre quarterback Trent dilferd Brad Johnson, you know, lead

(01:18:57):
a team to the Super Bow. I shouldn't even say
lead him to the Supermowl. Win win a Supermowl. Right,
They're not like the MVP. They're not the reason they win. Eli,
because he's been MVP, he becomes like the reason they win.
That's unique, though, So I'm not sure, Like, let's say
Kershaw was just a mediocre regular season picture, he might

(01:19:19):
not get those chances in the postseason. Right. No, No,
I know what you're saying, but I'm saying I would
give up if I if I was a Dodger fan.
All of the other moments that he gives you because
I'd rather him be yet all aside Young's all the
uh earn run, average leader, you know what I mean,
and all the other stuff that he's done, which is
all magnificent and great to watch. If I'm a Dodger fan,

(01:19:42):
I'd rather him have an unbelievable run helped the Dodgers
win the World Series, and I don't care about all
the other stuff. I say it all the time. Philip
Rivers has been very consistent and good for a long time. Right,
was he gotten you in the playoffs? Nothing? You're right? Nothing? Right,
you're right. I'd rather I just think the big stage
is what I want. And when you haven't won a

(01:20:02):
World Series and this and this long for the Dodgers,
it's gotta be the Dodgers in one of the most
storied franchises in sports. Well, it's interesting because you mentioned,
you know, thirty years ago is when the Dodgers won it.
And one of the pictures who was great for them
was Oral Hirsheiser, who had an unbelievable run, right, not

(01:20:24):
in him not a Hall of famer, no, and it
was really good, but not a Hall of famer. But
on the big stage he was often at his best.
In nineteen eighty eight, I think he had the fifty
sixth game. He was great, twenty three wins. Yes, yeah,
that was I mean he had a great year and
obviously a great postseason as well. But that's a good

(01:20:48):
That's really what you're saying. So would you rather be
Whether you can look at it two ways. You if
you were a player, would you rather be oral Hirsheiser
or Clayton Kershaw? Or if you were a fan, which
one would you rather? Absolutely? And if and if I
were a player, I would want I would want to
be all Hershiser all day. I would even though even

(01:21:09):
though to make the Hall of Fame, I was still
one of those guys who was a bulldog and helped
the Dodgers win a championship and give people memories forever. Eli.
The reason that people in New York can't let go
is for that reason, Chris. They know he can't play,
they know he's bad, but they those memories. You can't
let go. You always remember that, right absolutely right now.

(01:21:32):
It's interesting because I've always looked at basketball and everybody
talks about Robert Dory, who you know, as a mediocre
player during the regular season, huge in the playoffs. I
would rather be Charles Barkley. I'd rather have his career
than Robert Doores. Wow, you would rather have Robert Dorries.
I hear what you're saying, but I think but, but
it's interesting because in baseball it does feel a little different.

(01:21:54):
I think maybe because her Schizer, even though he wasn't
a Hall of Fame, he was a good he was close,
you know what I mean, Like you're actually a little surprised.
I mean, not surprised he wasn't in the Hall of
Fame because he didn't know, but you know what I mean.
If it was somebody who wasn't as good as her Scheizer,
it might be tough. But you're at Hirsheizers. Hersheiz was
kind of you like a legend. Yes, because you got

(01:22:15):
the World Series right right, and he was at his best.
That's a tough one. I love Kershaw. And another question
is is it the up you know, the fact that
the competition gets better, or is it the stage that
why he hasn't performed as well. It's interesting question to ask,
and uh, we'll find out when this series starts. It's
the eye Couple. Fox Sports Radio keep it locked. Yes,

(01:22:38):
we are the Eye Couple. I'm Chris Brussar, that's my
man Rob Parker, and as always, we're coming to you

all over the New York Football Giants. It's fourteen to

(01:22:59):
three with a minute ten left in the first quarter.
Not looking good for the Giants. And I'll tell you what,
if they lose this game, especially if they get blown out,
but just if they lose period, it is going to
be a crazy week in New York, no doubt about it.
This is not what they signed up for. You know that, Chris, everybody,

(01:23:21):
what was the whole talk was, you know, if you
get say Kwan Barkley, and you show up that defensive
line and you got a healthy OBJ back, that me
Eli would be okay that it wasn't all his fault
that they were horrible last year. Obviously they had a
lot of injury that had big, big receivers were down.

(01:23:41):
I get all that, but I don't believe I never
believed and I never bought into it. They're living in
the past over there in Jersey off the Turnpike. They're
living in the past. They're still thinking this is Eli
in the postseason against the Patriots. It's not. He's been
bad for a long time. And that's why they wanted
the general manager and the coach who got run out

(01:24:02):
of town right wanted to make a change. Well, that's why, honest,
and this is gonna seem premature, and it is because
I'm not saying this should happen right now, but I'm
telling you you and I both were saying before the draft.
I don't care how good, say quin Barkley looks. I
don't care what his vertical is. I don't care how
fast he runs the forty. I don't care how muscle

(01:24:24):
bound he is. I don't care how many times he
bitch presses two hundred and twenty five pounds. Don't draft him.
Draft a quarterback. Nothing against say Quine. Draft a quarterback.
And I'm telling you, if Sam darneld and it looks
like he's on that path, but three years from now,
if he is firing on all cylinders, has the Jets,

(01:24:47):
you know, as a perennial playoff contender and is really
playing great football and looks like their franchise quarterback for
the next fifteen years. Not drafting a quarterback in this
draft will be a fireball offense for that front office.
It just will be. And that was and that was
a new general manager. What's his name, Gettleman, Right, he's

(01:25:09):
the new general that's his first pick. That's his first
his first fireball offense. They're gonna look back at that
and say, Kwan Barkley, he can be. He might be
an all I don't know of all time great, but
he may be a really great running It's not an
indictment of him. It's what the Giants needed long term.
It's not an indictment of sake que I'm with you.
It's more in the position. Yes, you know the importance

(01:25:30):
of the position you had. You had a draft with
five or six quarterbacks that you could choose from. You
had the number two pick. And the worst part if
you're a Giants fan in New York is that for
the next ten, twelve, fifteen years, you're gonna be able
to watch Sam Darnold and go week you'd have had him.
We had a pick in front of the Jets. That's exactly.

(01:25:52):
It's not usual that you're in that position, Chris, where
you can keep tabs on the guy who was picked
before your team. Do you know what I mean said
when you missed out, But it's right in your face
if you're if you're in Jersey. Well, the interesting thing
is the Giants just looked at it all wrong that
three and thirteen season. That was a gift because it
doesn't happen and hurt that bad of a team, you know,

(01:26:16):
I mean again with Odell, he was hurt and you
know you have some other injuries like they were a
bad I'm not saying they were a playoff team necessarily,
but they weren't your typical three and thirteen team that
just has nothing. So if you get a quarterback like you,
being the second pick in the draft was an aberration, right,

(01:26:37):
But now you know what, the whole point might be
moved because they might be three and thirteen again this year.
To have a kid, not that it's a quarterback. That's
a good point, right, but it's not a quarterback Oklahoma
is he can eat well? Ta ta conten they come out, No.
Two is not eligible? What about the kid? From Oklahoma.

(01:26:58):
He's got a baseball sign with the age right there.
Those those yeah, he had a kid from Oregon might
be the guy. But it look it doesn't look like
it's gonna be as rich as this as a draft
that just passed, no doubt about it, right right? Well,
speaking of draft mistakes, Oh, you're talking about Lonzo Ball.
I'm sorry. I know you are. I'm trying to throw

(01:27:20):
you a bone. I'm trying to set you up because
I know you want to go off on Linzo Ball.
I don't want to go off on the kid. The
kids going off on the kid? You you you you
want to sit here and play mister objectives. I am,
but you love going off on Lebron James and Linzo Ball.
You didn't mention Tom Brady and Tom Brady right? You

(01:27:42):
got nicknames from him? The load the vote is that
with Lebron finals failure of all time, the luckiest of
all time is Tom Brady. What's what's lines or you
haven't come up with? When he's not a bust? You
ready to call him a bust? I got it for
Lonzo the one. Yeah, go ahead, the bench warm bench

(01:28:09):
warmo vault. Here you go, here you go Sam, Sam,
have some standards. No, hey, no, look it's way too
early to call him a bust. All I'm saying is
I watched him. Uh wasn't that impressed when he was
out there with Lebron um his shot? I see that

(01:28:32):
they tried to work on it. Right, he's shooting differently,
would you agree? Right? Yeah? It might look it might
be better the first shot. What do you think? What
did you think you throw up? Hold on Steph curry
S throwing up air balls before? That's fine? Imagine just
thrown up air balls when you saw the first shot.
What did you just say to yourself? I'm just just
asking the air ball ball three? Yeah, it was. It

(01:28:54):
was ugly. I mean, nobody chuckled. I just chuckled. I
just you know what you said? You said Rob's gonna
have a field day. Did you say that I knew
you were gonna go off? Yeah? Of course that goes
without saying. But look, Linzo's going to be a contributor.
I mean, and I'm not trying to say this, he's not. No,

(01:29:16):
he's not the face of the franchise. That clearly is
Lebron James. Everything changed, and rightly so when Lebron decided
to go to the Lake. I don't even know if
he would have been the face of the franchise if
Lebron didn't come to be that's a good that's a
good point. Give us a call eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fox eight seven seven nine nine six sixty

(01:29:36):
three sixty nine if you want to talk to the
odd couple about Lebron. Linzo Ball will get into these
with you if you call up. But that's a good question.
I would say this, he wouldn't be their best player.
That would be Brandon Ingram and the rookie. The best
rookie on that team is Kuzma klem was. He had
an unbelievable roots season. But Linzo would still be like

(01:30:02):
a big partner, like he would be part of the
face I guess, one of the faces of that franchise.
He wouldn't be the face as Magic thought he was
gonna be. That's all I'm saying, because but he would
have been a he would have been a big part
like you would have been talking about him a lot,
just like last year. It would have been a lot
of buzz about Linzo. And has he changed his shot?

(01:30:25):
Has he worked on the shot because Rob you can
kill him all you want. The guy can run an offense,
the guy can pass, the guy can rebound, the guy
can defend. He can do everything except shoot. And Rajon
Rondos made a nice career doing a lot of what
Linzo can do and without being able. You could have
two of those guys on the team or two didn't

(01:30:47):
win a championship with two guys who can. But this
is not a championship roster and they know it, and
Lebron knows it. Said it was well, Michael Thompson bleeds
literally purple and go literally you know, but he did
talk like that. But no, it's not. This is the
roster to change the culture with the Lakers, to have

(01:31:07):
a good year with the Lakers, and then to save
yourself to cap room to go out and get another
great free agent this next summer. So um, but Linzo
would be huge. Linzo, Brandon, Ingram and Kuzma would probably
be the faces of the franchise. Have Lebron. Jay's not
gone there. Um, He's gonna have a solid year. It's

(01:31:28):
not gonna be you know, huge numbers. Wise, he may
We'll see if he ever ends up starting this year
Rono's gonna start off the season. It just depends if
if Rondo and Lebron looked great together. Chris, why why
would you stop that and go backwards. I'm just saying
if no, you you, but Linzo will still play. I'm
must saying he's not gonna play. But Luke Walton said
anywhere between ten and thirty minutes. Well, that's crazy. Ten

(01:31:51):
and thirty minute And I'll tell you what, Luke, I
don't think I know. Michael Thompson told us, and they
do have some depth. He was raving about their depth,
but you do need to get a rotation. Yes, it's hard.
It is hard when you have several players who are
at the same level. You know, when you got like

(01:32:12):
eleven dudes that should play and the seven of them
are about the same, that's tough on the coach. But
you also know in the playoffs, and you've seen this
when Pat Rowley was with the Knicks, I can remember, uh,
Rolando Black when he wouldn't put him in Hubert Davis,
do you remember those guys? Yeah, you generally go eight

(01:32:32):
or that's what I was saying, like it's Lions will
go nine now. But yeah, a lot of guys don't
see action in the playoffs. And that's my point that
having fourteen strong doesn't mean anything. All those guys don't play.
They just don't. You need nine ten strong, nine strong
and uh and look they got depth. But that's where

(01:32:53):
LIONSO was gonna be. And rob My contention is that
you know, the Linzo ball circus, at least for the
next year or two and maybe a little longer, is over.
Like we're talking about Linzo right now because the real
games haven't started. A month from now, we're not gonna
be talking much about Do you think that magic in them?

(01:33:15):
Got to LaVar and said, dude, stop it or just
gonna be a sure, we're gonna get your son out
of town because he's really piped down to zero. Amazing
it is to a zero Chris, Yeah, that's that's a
good question because first you would say, well, why didn't
they do it last year? Last year he wasn't expendable, No,

(01:33:36):
and he pumped him up right, Yeah, so now he's expendable, Like,
you don't need him. You got lebron Jay's for the
next four years. Who can play point guard? If you
somehow lost Raja and Rondo I mean, heck, Brandon Ingram
can play point guard too. Hey, Chris, we got a
call on this. Let's go to Kennedy and Louisville. You're

(01:33:56):
on the odd Couple on Fox Sports Radio. Did I say,
are you guys happening? Man, I'm good, just one to
call in. I know we're talking about Lone would definitely
be the talking point the next year. If Lebron wasn't there, Um,
they wouldn't be good enough or relevant enough. He would
just definitely be the talking point interesting enough. Right, that's
a great point. I totally agree. I totally agree. Do

(01:34:19):
you have a thought on LaVar? He Yeah, Kenneth, what's up?
Are you surprised you don't hear LeVar anymore? Yeah? I
mean I think he might be a bigger part two
Lebron wasn't there. I don't know. I mean, I think
people are kind of done with them a bit. I
would say, it's un you know. And look, I had
LaVar on my podcast in his own several times. He's

(01:34:41):
been on Undisputed. We talked to him one on one. Yeah,
I like him, and but I look right now and
he this is the downside of being so braggadocious. You know, Uh,
when the kids don't paying out, it's tough. And right
now they're not paying out. No all Remember younger kid
LaMelo is over in Lithuania getting in fights and who

(01:35:05):
knows slapping people if he's gonna get to the NBA. Yeah,
when was the last time you slapped somebody? Chris? Oh,
I feel like I slapped it's you slapped another guy?
Like who slapped another guy? Like? Uh, not that you
should be slapping women, But I'm just meaning now you
know what I'm saying. The sink it was eighth grade,

(01:35:28):
you slapped a dude. Yeah, I think a lot of
people think of slapping. Slapping is more disrespectful. If you
ever watching it's like, I don't even need to punch you. Differ,
if you ever watch all the movies, the movies from
the forties and fifties, all of the women get slapped
in those movies. It's unbelievable. Oh no, yeah, it's unbelievable.

(01:35:49):
And backhands, it's like that was popular, Like you would
get slapped back hand. That's crazy. But yeah, I remember,
absolutely terrible. But it's all in those old forties at
your movie that's where you would never see that nowadays,
Oh no, no, I mean people are getting fired for stuff,
you know, like that. But I was on a bus
seventh grade, and uh uh, we used to battle. I

(01:36:13):
used to like to play hip hop eighth grade, and
this other kid would play rock, and whoever got there
first would play, you know, their music, or we alternate.
So one day I'm playing some hip hop and this
is early hip hop. This is like Treacherous three and
it was the rap, the dream Machine groups like that,

(01:36:36):
and he said, turn off that jungle music. Oh yeah, stop,
turn off that jungle music. So you know, I had
to pull out a can a whoop and slapped him.
It just slapped him. And like I said, slap can
be more disrespectful than the punch. But it's a punch.
I know, I got a battle. Okay, let's see how
to come with the good stuff. A slap. I don't

(01:36:58):
even have to put forth much effort and you not
gonna do anything. But you know the difference between the
regular slap and the pimp slap, right, the pimp slap
is the back of the hand, so you don't leave
any marks for the police. That's right. On that note,
it's the odd couple. Honesty this. This is very apropos.

(01:37:19):
Honesty isn't always the best policy. I'll explain next, It's
the Eye Couple, Chris. It's the Eye Couple of Chris
Brusa and Rod Park on this TV theme song Thursday,
my man Sam getting funcky? He who When this show
came on, Chris, it was must Sy TV on Sunday nights.

(01:37:39):
It was groundbreaking, Gundak. I was in college. I remember
we used to watch it every week. Yes, it was.
It was great living in Living Color. I remember being
at a wedding and we were at a Sunday wedding
in New York and we were sitting around the table
talking and everybody was saying, I'm mad they were that

(01:38:01):
they were Missing in Living Color and we had to
tape it with the VCR. We wanted to watch it. Wow. Wow,
Queen Latifa and and I'm thinking of what was the
other one that the Wayne's brothers did. No, that's it.
The one Queen Latifa and them did was what living Single,
Living Single? Right? That was the younger hipper Golden Girl.

(01:38:24):
That was like a black or the black version of Friends. Yeah,
but I think that with the Golden Girls, man leave
the Golden Girls, and seriously, but it was three women
living together, right, but there was two dudes in it too. Yeah,
I guess you're right, Limon Color. Think about how many
superstars came out. Jim Carrey was ways, Jim Carrey, Jamie Fox,

(01:38:47):
David Jennifer Loaf, David Allen, Grid Jennifer Lopez was a dancer,
like they They really spawned a lot of superstars out
of that. So yeah, but speaking of superstars, we got
a non super star, a nine star, a nine starter,
who's running his mouth. And I like the guy, and

(01:39:08):
I'm with you, Rob, I like being honest. I'm you know,
I'm a Christian man. I advocate honesty and integrity. But
I just think there's a time to speak and a
time to chill, a time to be silent, the time
to have an edit button. And if I'm Alan Hearns
and I've got eight catches in five games for eighty

(01:39:29):
four yards, I don't think you need to be questioning
or not even questioning, just downright criticizing the offensive coordinator
the play calling by saying as he said about last
week's game with Houston. There Dak Prescott's second interception of

(01:39:49):
the game he said that the Cowboys had the worst
play call possible in that situation. I call it honesty.
I call it football talk. That's fine, it's honest. It
can be it's all the one. But when you are
a guy with eight receptions in five games, you're very expendable.
And if you become too much of a distraction and

(01:40:11):
the distraction outweighs your production, I'm gonna have to get
rid of you. And how is that helping you? That's
all I'm saying eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox
eight seven, seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.
Give us a call, let us know what you think.
I mean. Should Alan Herns have said what he said? Um?

(01:40:34):
You know. Then he comes out and says Dak Prescott
didn't have the authority to change the play at the
line of scrimmage, and his coach Jason Garrett said today, no,
he does have that authority. So while I'm looking on
the waves, who's telling the truth. I'm looking on the
waiver wire right now to see where Herns has been cut.
Has Alan Herns been cut? Not yet? And I hope not.

(01:40:58):
I hope he does it. That's why I asked Craig said,
do you ever remember if anybody saying something, you know
what they do, Chris. They pull you into room and say, dude,
just try to try to avoid criticize and your teammates.
It ain't criticized. It's not the end of the world.
It's just not I don't I don't see if he
said body said, it doesn't help your team. Now there's

(01:41:20):
they seems like there's drama. There's division. How is the
division on honesty, on just calling it like you see it? Yeah,
sometimes you don't need to say that. There's times I
bite my tongue with in my relationship with my wife
and she does the same. Sometimes you just gotta do it.
We never blurred out every single thing that that you

(01:41:41):
feel like that comes to your mind. We never did
that in my marriage. I'm not even gonna go there.
That's too easy. Maybe that's try didn't work. You know
that that might the more we the more shows we
do together, don't realize you realize why the man didn't work.
And that what you're saying, Hey, you said it, not me,

(01:42:04):
but no, I just look, I love You're right, Rob,
And you gotta speak your mind and and and and
not walk around on eggshells. But you you, I think
you would admit too that there is a time for
an eddie button. Okay, like I hear you, we got,
we got some people want to chime. And let's go
to Cody and Maine. You're on the odd couple on
Fox Sports Radio. What's up Cody? Hey, what's up? Fellows

(01:42:28):
us first Bound Color? Uh not so long, long, long
time listener, But I do love listening to you guys.
Thank you, thank you. So, I mean, as far as
ill On Herns is concerned, I mean, I mean, I
think we're all criticizing the play calling and how boring
this office is. Fan you know, so he sees it firsthand.
So I mean, I don't see why just because you're

(01:42:50):
not blond haired, you know, superstar Odell, that you can't
call out the play call. You know what I mean?
Right now, if you would have, if he would have said,
the offensive coordinators terrible, the coach should be fired. Now.
If you're doing that now, you're he said it was
the worst possible play for that situation. But he basically

(01:43:11):
said that he's terrible. No, but he did. It's not
like a personal attack. He just thought it was the
wrong call. There, right, Cody. But the call didn't just
drop out of the sky. I mean, somebody made the call.
And I'm just saying, look, the caller's right. Yeah, we
we everybody has the right to speak their mind. But

(01:43:33):
it is true. We hear it all the time in sports,
and it is true. If your production does not outweigh
the distraction you bring, then you may not be long
for that team, whatever the sport. And we've been talking
about Linzo. Now LaVar has been quiet and maybe that
will continue. But if Linzo's not producing, and Linzo's throwing

(01:43:58):
up air balls every four or five shots from three
point range and LaVar's running his mouth, guess what, Linzo,
You're not producing enough to outweigh the distraction that is
your father. So by would that not happy rap? It
probably would happen. That's all I'm saying. I don't want

(01:44:18):
Alan Hurst to get cut. I'm glad he was honest.
It's great for us in the media. I'm just saying,
just be careful, that's all because we all none of
us exist in a vacuum. No, that's true. So when
you read that, when you see that piece on TMZ
about our shoulder, they asked me about you just ignore No,

(01:44:40):
that's right. Though you're gonna rip a brother, even if
you felt like ripping me, you better not. And you
know what they should say. This was my motto and
in the press box in Detroit. If I'm writing I'm ripping,
that was it, Chris. If I'm writing I'm ripping, No,
I remember your stuff now. But it's good that that,
you know, provocative columns. That's what you want, you know,

(01:45:03):
you know, I mean this show we bring opinions. You
have to bring that's what people want. We don't want
to sit here and be wishy washy and uh, you
know they I mean maybe have been good. Yeah, says great,
Maybe they still should I don't know what you know.
Like no, you have to bring opinions, and that's what
we do here on the Odd Couple. All right, the

(01:45:24):
Eagles are looking good tonight against the Giants, but they
could be looking a whole lot better. I'll explain next.
But first, Dad Carson there for the final time of
the night. Dad, let me ask you this. On the
theme song, Yeah Thursday, what was your favorite sitcom growing up?
I loved Good Times. Good Time in the family was

(01:45:46):
also a sucker for happy days just because I'm Chris.
My mom used to hate all in the family. She say, oh,
I just can't watch that Archie Bunk And I said, Mam,
every show he's wanted to be the dummy, you know
what I mean? Like I said, there was always a
hook to it. That was another show you know that

(01:46:06):
Obviously you couldn't you wouldn't have that on the air. No,
you couldn't do that. In fact, I heard an interview
with Norman Lear and he said today, if he went
into a pitch meeting with that, he said, there's no
way they even put the thing on the air. They'd
laugh me out of the room and say, we can't
do that. That was a great show ahead of its time.
There were shows, I mean The Jeffersons was a spinoff
from that. Yeah. And I saw the in word you

(01:46:28):
several times on the jeff Oh yeah really, Oh yeah,
you know what deb when you get a chance go
It was used in Sanford and Son This is Primetime
NBC in nineteen seventy four. He says it twice wow
and to span up twenty seconds and Red Fox Red
Fox says it on on Sanford and Sis. Wow. Muhammed
Ali said it on primetime TV and interviews. I mean,

(01:46:52):
it's it's amazing you look back in the seventies and yeah,
that's all right, Yeah, all right, dad, what's Trindon? Well
sae Quon Barkley had an amazing fifty five yard run
that got him down to first and goal eventually, and
of course they couldn't punch it in, so they settled
for a field goal. But the Eagles right now with
a fourteen six lead over the Giants five to go

(01:47:14):
in the second quarter. And other NFL news, Falcons running
back Davante Freeman is officially doubtful for Week six because
of his injured foot. Do you have some baseball news?
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts just announced his starting pitchers for
the NLCS. We knew Clayton Kershaw would get the ball
for Friday's Game one. Who's number two on Winter number
two RYU hundred Yu Walker Bueller gets it for three

(01:47:35):
back in La, and Rich Hill will start Game four.
Brewers have only named their first three starters, Joe Gonzalez
for Game one, Wade Miley for Game two, Julie's Chasin
starting Monday's Game three in La. In the NHL, Thursday,

what he called a player's only meeting with his teammates,

(01:48:18):
according to The Athletic, but at least one player, Minnesota
guard Paul Te, sent a tweet out that refuted the
report of a player's only meeting. He tweeted to sham Sharanya,
it wasn't no players meeting. You just made that up. Bro.
Y'all got to relax with this fake news. Hey. You
know what? Hey, that's what he said and you read
it verbado. I did you know? I'm telling you it's

(01:48:43):
it's crazy though, just the drama there is Jimmy Butler
worth this? Seriously? Is he? Is he really Is he
a number one that's going to make a make a
difference for a team that's gonna have to put up
with his drama? Wasn't the drama in Chicago too? Yeah? Yeah,
that's a great question, because look, I don't think Jimmy
Butler's not a number one that's gonna lead you to
a championship. But he is a really good player, and

(01:49:06):
in Minnesota with him playing like I think they could
be a top four team in the West. They have
to fight for it, yeah, because you know you got
you got several good teams, but they be in that mix.
If you lose him, not so much so, but you know,
it can get to a point where the drama would outweigh.
And I think that may be what he's hoping. Yeah,

(01:49:28):
I mean, it almost certainly is what he's hoping so
he can get traded as he wants. So, but it
is crazy. I look forward to finding out. I guess
the players will probably talk tomorrow finding out if there
really was a meeting or not, unless somebody tweets that
there wasn't and somebody else tweets that there was, right right,
and the drama continues. All right, Dad, My great job

yard line, and they can't Getty had a great play
on a reception. He took it. I don't know how
many yards sixty was it sixty something yards? Yeah, he

(01:50:31):
gets right now. But if a guy does have some
great skills, we neither of us. It's saying he may
not be a perennial All Pro n and Christia was fifty. Yeah,
but it's just not you need it. You needed a quarterback.
That's really what it boils down to. Um. But speaking
of running backs, the Eagles look good tonight, but they're

(01:50:55):
not doing much damage on the ground. It's a lot
of Carson Wentz in the air and obviously the defense
as well. They need a running back. They need a
running back, and there's the rumors out there that they're
gonna get Lashawn McCoy. Sean McDermott confirmed that they were
interested in the Buffalo Bills coach confirmed that or wouldn't

(01:51:18):
deny at least that the Eagles are interested in Lashawan
McCoy in a trade and Leveon Bell. There are reports
that the Steelers are hoping that the Eagles will call
them about Leveon Bell. I don't know what, Rob g
do you know. I don't know what the Eagles cap

(01:51:38):
situation will be next year, Like could they sign Levion
long term? Well, they did free up about six million
when they restructured Fletcher Cox's deal for this season, so
you know that that you would assume that's the intention
of bringing in somebody to be the running back. And
I'm sure they can move things around they wanted. Luckily

(01:51:58):
for them, Carson West on his rookie deal, so they
can add as many high praise guys exactly right now
right because he's not he's not breaking the bank. They
got him and you got him for a few years
like this, so you might as well go for it. See,
I would rather look Lashawn McCoy. He seems like he's
a little bit on the downside, but he's still better
than what the Eagles have right now in the backfield.

(01:52:22):
But if I have my druthers as an Eagles fan,
I would want Levion Bell see and I would want
him long term. I think the hold up with Lashawn
McCoy is that you know the Eagles on shore because
also in that deal you'll get an ap B to
be named later there'll be some other situation. But now
you're right though, he's got that vice, just something there,

(01:52:43):
so you just don't you're on shore on what you
want to do in The Eagles just scored again. Yeah,
this is uh, it's gonna be ug zach N. You
and I both worked in New York and we know
what the back pages are like. Yep, it is going
to be ugly. Nobody's gonna be spared, including Odell. No, no, no, nobody,
and they'll they'll blame Odell for his comments and yep,

(01:53:07):
the ELI bachelors will be out and everybody, and um uh,
it's just how it is. You know what, you know
what you get all the praise in the back pages
when people win in that town too, You know it, Chris,
If you're playing well and you're winning, you're kings, right, Kings,
no question. Everything is magnified in New York. And I
gotta be honest. I never bought, not for a second,

(01:53:29):
rob did I ever buy this talk about And it
wasn't just Odell. He was the main when I guess
saying it, but it was a few people saying that
that this had galvanized the team, because first of all,
I didn't think they were that good against Carolina. No
Carolina body defense at that I thought it was more

(01:53:50):
failure on Carolina. That's not the way I thought. Yep.
I saw Christian McCaffrey and Cam Newton and a couple
of receivers just breaking tackles, running over like come on,
that's not galvanized. And so you know, you saw the
mistakes by Odell and others. So this is bad for
the Giants and this isn't even competitive right now twenty

(01:54:13):
one six, But this could be. This is a great
sign for the Eagles, and in that division they still are. Look,
I've said it, they're not getting back to the Super Bowl.
I stand by that, but they are the best team
in that division. Rob Genus, is that three touchdowns for
wins in a lifetime or did they get one on
the ground? Now he has two. They also had a

(01:54:35):
one yard run by Court, so that he has two.
Trying to boost your man stats. I'm just trying to
add another touchdown if I can. But there's still four
twenty two left in the second. Sou not a bad
first half if you've got twenty one points and twenty
one to six and the defenses has hardened down near
the goal line right for against the Giants. So if
you're if you're the Eagles, you gotta feel good right

(01:54:56):
now because the Giants win position to at least make
it a ball game twice that and close, and they
weren't able to punch it in a touchdown. I had
to settle for fuel goals. So do you guys not
think that the Giants are feeling galvanized this week? Speech? No, No,
they are not galvanize again. I didn't I never believed it,
did you? No? I didn't buy that. That's just something Yeah, yeah,

(01:55:19):
I mean I look, I honestly, I'm not sure I
think Odell believed it. I think Odell believe he was
trying to take some of the heat off and have
people feel like well, I definitely think that, But I
also think he believed it because he had a productive game. Well.
But then christ it didn't galvanize him because he has
two catches for twelve yards, So he's not galvanized. And

(01:55:40):
we're almost saying the halftime, yeah, it's it's and it
looks I'm not defending him, but I'm saying I know
he is looking around the league and saying, man, I
mean he basically said it in his interview with Josina Anderson,
talking around the see looking at these quarterbacks and saying,

(01:56:03):
I wish I had So I wish I had Carson
went I'll tell you what I wish I had Patrick Mahomes.
I wish I had Jared Garf. I would love to
see him and Aaron Rodgers quarterback. Oh yeah, I would look.
How about if he had gotten traded to the Rams, Yeah,
just to see what it would look like and what
he'd be able to do. I agree, Jared Garf is
the same thing, the way he's playing. Yeah, if he

(01:56:25):
had gone to LA with all those weapons he would
have been it would have been ridiculous and uh so.
But the Eagles, I I think I think they should
go after Leavian Bell, rob I really do. Look, when
you have a chance to win super Bowls in the NFL,
you go for Oh no, you gotta take try to

(01:56:45):
win it. And that's where the Rams piled up and
went out and made moves. Even though they had a
great year last year. They obviously it didn't work out
in the playoffs. They lost the playoff game, but they
went out and said we're going for it, especially with
a young quarterback not making that much money. That's when
you poured on yep. I also think that even if

(01:57:06):
it were a rental, I would do it. Sounds like
blasphemy to a lot of people. They want a third
round pick. It looks like I would do that even
if it were a rental. I think Bell would make
that much of a difference for them. And you know,
we'll see if it happens. But they look good tonight

(01:57:28):
and their season is probably gonna go in a whole
different direction than the Giants from this night forward. All Right,
this just might be the most ridiculous law in the country.

(01:58:34):
is Chris Brussard and Rod Parker wrapping up a TV
theme song Thursday with Game of Thrones. Value youngsters out there, youngsters,
I say, a lot of older people watch that too.
You watch that? Rob, No, I don't. Yeah, but I'm
almost passed out. He said, what do you mean you
don't watch that? I've never seen it in my life,

(01:58:55):
I know, but I heard its great. Everybody, everybody rags
about it. But you know, we're in the sports business
and uh, we travel a lot and whatnot. You don't
get to watch as many TV shows. That's really what
it's about. And when I'm watching TV, it's usually the
news or sports, right, or ald reruns of on me
TV something like. You know, one thing I've learned tonight

(01:59:19):
with the theme songs. Because Sam is a young guy,
he played a lot of the newer stuff. Right, theme
songs have changed. Oh yeah. They used to be so
light and cheery, you know what I mean, and then
now they're like scary. Yes, it used to be like
you would be in the other room. You'd hear that
theme song. You knew your show was coming on, right
you wanted to dance and smile. If I was in

(01:59:40):
the other room and a game of what is the
Game of Thrones Thrones was on that theme song, I
would think the world was coming to an I wouldn't
think the show was coming on right right. Well, Uh,
it's time for shop talk. Ain't nobody? Ain't that? Ain't nobody?
You talk about whoever, whatever, whatever you want to it's

(02:00:04):
shop talk, yes, sir, shop talk Here on the odd
couple of Fox Sports radio. Now we are worldly, gentleman,
We have interests outside of sports. Even though the Eagles
are about to score again against the Giants, something unbelievable,
there's still a minute forty to go. But you know,
every once in a while, we'll take a look at
a story outside of sports and share our thoughts on it,
just like you'd hear in the barbershop. Well, Halloween is

(02:00:27):
coming up in a few weeks, guys, and apparently in
Virginia they have a problem with unruly trick or treaterers
and they decided to take the batteries into their own hands.
Here in some parts of Virginia, they've installed laws that
will put children over the age of twelve, any actually,
anyone over the age of twelve who engages in trigger

(02:00:49):
treating can be sent to jail and be charged with
a misdemeanor crime, facing a fine of anywhere between twenty
five to one hundred dollars. Now, how ridiculous is this?
You know, they are real criminals, and we're we're filling
up the jail, jails and the courthouses with with tricker treating.

(02:01:09):
Come on, Chris, this makes no sense. That's terrible, and
at that, at that age. Wan't your tricker treating with
your with your parents or chaperone. Look at what the
law is terrible. That is ridiculous to waste your time
record on somebody that demension. You put a record on
somebody for trick or treating. Now, I do believe that

(02:01:31):
twelve twelve thirteen you you that's you shouldn't really be.
That's about the end of your tricker treating career. Chris,
my last tricker treating. I was eleven and I thought
I was big stuff. Me and a couple of my friends.
I was living in Indiana, as you know, I moved
all over the place, I mean Indianapolis. Me and a
couple of my friends. We think we big. You know.
We used to have a group that we go with

(02:01:52):
my little brother and some of his friends and younger kids.
And we didn't want to go with the little kids anymore. Right,
I'm elevin, I'm a big man, and you know, so
we we go on our own, me and a couple
of my friends, and we got an apple, right, some
lady gave us apples, and you know, rob trick or tree,
and you don't want an apple, right, even I didn't

(02:02:14):
want to clean it I didn't want an apple, period, right,
sugar snickers bars, twick something like that, And so I
take the apple and after we walked away from the
house and I'm reaching back to throw it and somebody
grabbed my arm. I thought it was one of my friends. No,
and they grabbed my arm, and then somebody else grabbed

(02:02:35):
my bag and start running and we couldn't catch them
where it was some older kids And we went home
and was that kid over twelve because we would have
been able to send them to jail right right right,
And my dad wanted to go out there with a
gun for the kids. We don't want to do that.
They actually did, but we didn't find them, thankfully. I

(02:02:57):
don't want to say that I was older last time
my trick or tree it, but I'm gonna be but
I'm gonna be honest. I realized I was too old
a trick or treat and I shouldn't do it anymore
when I opened my bag and there was a box
of condos in there. Here you go, Here you go, crickets,
Roy whatever, I was funny. Oh, Rob g ain't even

(02:03:18):
laughing at that, and he's Rob laughed, Rob, come on,
that was funny. No common you heard it, crickets, Just
don't bring that one to our cineo when you when
