It's The Best of the Odd Couple with Chris Broussard and Rob Parker! You're listening to the Best of The Odd Couple with
Chris Brussa and Ron Harker. You guys is like one
of my daughters when they were growing up. When my daughters.
What are you saying My daughters were growing up, they
didn't have a birthday, They had a birth month. Yeah. No,
it was like four parties. It was one friends, one

(00:45):
for the in school friends, one for the church friends,
and the family. It was ridiculous. But I didn't ask
for Your birthday was win Friday. We celebrated it. But
then you begged this to take you out today. You
set up for lunch. I set it up. You set
up for lunch for us to take you out, and

(01:05):
Alex set it up and Dab and you guys were
nice enough to take me out for lunch, which I
really enjoyed the company and and he ate well too,
I all got lunch stuff. He got dinner. Is I
mean you had the most expensive items on the menu

(01:26):
dessert the only one to get dessert. Well, I can't
take cheesecake to go from the cheesecakes. No, you did
it right. I'm just saying it, man, saying I need
that for later on, you know, to celebrate the birthday.
And your birthday was Thursday, to know, but I'm still celebrated.
But I'll tell you this. And I know Alex was
the one who went out to get the gift. But wow,

(01:47):
was I not floored when I saw that, rob g.
When I opened it up, I was floored because you
know what I like. You know, you were a lot
of sweat jackets and whatnot too. I gotta do this
one on now. But they gave me. I need to
go get it because I forgot we could put on.
I need to go get it and show it to you.
But it's a beautiful gray and white uh air Jordan

(02:08):
uh sweat jackets. It's awesome. I'm thank you guys so much.
That is so me something that I will wear wear
some great sweats with that, some Jordan's. That's really like
an outstanding gift for me. It ain't that often I
gets something that I really like, because I got just
about everything I want for the most part, So it's hard.

(02:29):
That's something I don't have and something that I love.
So happy birthday again, thank you. Okay, that's it again.
Go ahead and introduce the folks. That's right, we can
get going, all right, it is the I Couple and yes, Chris,
we wouldn't be able to do this fine radio program
without our crew, Rob g our producer, Alex the engineer,

(02:50):
Deb Carson, our sports anchor. Sh'll keep us updated on
everything going on in the world of sports. And of
course Elijah he is there. Uh and he'll be our
social media guru. Uh. Facebook and um Paris Instagramagram, Twitter,
the whole nine yards, Facebook line and YouTube. So we

(03:13):
got all of those. So yes, we're in full effect
on this Monday, this rainy Monday in Los Angeles. I
just saw you walking. You don't know how to walk
in the rain. What okay? Rob Ge? Y'all heard Rob
g deep voice sound and all. Rob. He's trying to
take your man type dude. He's trying to take five four.

(03:34):
I'm letting y'all know five four is five four, Rob P.
Parker it's six four, and they're walking through the rain
from the cheesecake factory to the studio and Rob G,
a foot smaller, is the one holding the umbrella and
Rob Parker is bending down trying to get under the umbrella.

(03:57):
Rob G is tippy toe and trying to hold it
up a ball. Rob's head de Carson, Yes, I'm like
what and I guys a ride but we were just
coming across the street. But it was a downpour. But
isn't that now? Rob geeves being nice? He has an umbrella.
I have a hat on in the job. Why didn't

(04:17):
you hold the umbrella? It's it's his umbrella. Isn't that
the etiquette could have got under their really comfortable with perfectly?
Like I said, he's only five four, But if I
have perfect if I haven't, if I haven't too tall,
then he's getting wet the rains coming on him. But
that that's his fault for being so small. Kid is

(04:40):
you have to hold the umbrella if he's too small
to get if he's underneath it, then it is what
it is. And he's a man. You don't have to
hold the umbrella for him. No, But what sense does
it make rob Gee holding it for Rob Parking umbrella?
But rob Gi needs to hold it a little bit.

(05:00):
He doesn't care. I give him my A for effort.
And actually I've overstated what are you five six with? Sho?
Can we get all right? With all of the fun
the Shenanigans out of the way. This is the moment

(05:24):
I've been waiting for. I was up all night. Excite,
Where are you going? Where? You know? Rob Parker's trying
to leave the studio? What are you doing? Let it?
Let him run, Let him run. I don't need him.
I don't need him. Yeah, we we you know what
we do here at the Odd Couple. We have a
microwave take. When you say something, you say something with conviction,

(05:48):
you say it with your chest. You know, it's a
hot take that's gone cold, and Rob Parker has plenty
of those. So here we are with last week's microwave
take from my man Rob Parker. Time to cool to
the outside the medal. It's microwave take with the on cover.

(06:12):
You know, I know a lot of people are like,
look at these two teams. Here are the Titans in
the AFC type top two teams or whatever, without question.
I learned, without question, mister Chris Broussard, that neither one
of these teams will win a super Bowl. Neither one.
I'm here week six, neither team will win the super Bowl.

(06:32):
You need to stay away from making your proclamation. Tom
Brady could do that. Tom Brady could do that. Tom
Brady can't do that. And I'm not You know what
kills me is you guys are gonna be wrong because
because if the Chiefs go to the Super Bowl, say
they beat the Patriots and then lose to the Saints,
they won't win a super Bowl with those bad defenses.

(06:55):
I'm gonna be right. So you remember this, You remember
this Michael Wave take, and you rewarm this hot take
up because I will be right if the Saints win
the super Bowl and not one of those shoot teams.
Don't get arrogant, don't get cocky, because we can play
the one from the second week of the season where
you said the Patriots were done, no chance of getting

(07:17):
to the super Bowl. That was the third week. I
was right. The New England Patriots have a great chance
to get to the super Bowl. I just wanted to
show that the birthday gift because we're trying to change
the subject. I'm not. And look at the bat. It's nice.
It's cute. It's not cute. It's nice, all right, it's nice.

(07:39):
Why are you trying to change the subject. I'm not.
We're talking about the sports to show it's not fashion.
All right. What do you have to say for yourself,
Rob Parker, I'm just gonna focus on one. I'm not
gonna get you with both. No, I'll just not gonna
hit you with Patrick Mahomes. We'll get to that later.
It was Sody Michelle's day, let me read, let me
ready Michelle's day, and they're talking about Tom Brady as always,

(08:02):
why old, always the same narrative. Sony Michelle had three touchdowns,
all in the first half, which buried the Chargers, and
they're talking about Tom Brady throwing six yard dunks and dinks.
That's what they've given him credit for. He was only
able to throw it because they opened up the opened
up the passing game with the run. You know, I'm right,
they started touchdown one touchdown was a mediold performance. Other

(08:28):
than all those yards, let me read the statistics to you,
since you you just want to fudge the numbers and
everything thirty four for forty four. He missed ten passes.
That's not three hundred and forty three yards. Yes, but
most of those are Matt Stafford staff Padford yards because
the game was over. After the game was over look

(08:50):
on the first drive, he came out throwing the football.
But over a half it was thirty five to seven.
Tom Brady had about two hundred yards. That other one
hundred and forty those are step Padford numbers. Rob Park.
Have you ever heard of QBR? Yeah, I've heard of it.
QBR takes away all of the excuses. No, it does.

(09:10):
QBR looks at what your teammates did, whether they deserve
the blame, whether they deserve the credit. It looks at
the context of your pass. If it's third and ten
and you throw a seven yard pass, statistically that looks good.
Oh he completed another pass, but it's not a good
play because you needed ten yards instead of seven. QBR

(09:31):
does all that because a seven yard game on third
and three is a lot different from a seven yard
game on third and ten. And tom Brady's QBR was
eighty seven point two, the best QBR of any of
the eight quarterbacks in the entire weekend in fact, for
context sake for our listening, But those are not numb Mahomes.

(09:56):
All the Patrick Mahomes led the NFL in q we
are this season at eighty one point six. Tom Brady's
QBR yesterday was much better than Patrick Mahomes for the
entire season. So I'm just saying, he had a great
game at forty one years old, and why don't you

(10:16):
just give him his prop I'm just saying, but the but,
the the whole narrative about Brady's it's just a it's
a false narrative. What the only Sody Michelle as you're saying,
he's done. Sony Michelle was the story of that game.
He had three touchdowns in the first half when they
basically put the charge. Okay, he Brady had no no, no,

(10:39):
he was good. He how long we're his touchdowns and
don't have to be long. He had one hundred and
twenty eight yards in twenty fourth cal It's a team.
Nobody's taking anything. It's always about Brady, no matter why.
He's the leader. Enough with the brain, how many you
and I and everybody else sat here and talked about
how the Chargers were the most talented, they were they were.

(11:02):
They didn't show it the different though. It wasn't it
with Sony Michelle. Tom Brady you know him right, I
don't know anybody else had three young It was his
first playoff game. The guy had three touchdowns. Deck like
he's a good run like he picked up lollipops to
the field. Everybody loved him. In college. We knew we

(11:24):
could run the football. But tom Brady is the straw
that stirs the drink. And you know it. Rob Parker,
you know it. And I feel for you because it's
your birthday. Months No, it ain't nothing with my birthdays?
Are all the callers. I'm about to throw out the
number they're gonna call in and they're gonna give you
a hard time. Didn't know what I'm talking to. Assist

(11:48):
on pushing and driving this narrative that tom Brady is done.
They were winning without tom Brady. Looks Tom Brady. Yesterday
eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine, it was about Sony Michelle. Oh my god,
did you see the nine? I know you? In his
first playoff game, he had three touchdowns in the first half.

(12:11):
Give us a car. That's when the game was decided.
It's your turn to speed. And then Bill Belichick said, okay, Tom,
go ahead, Patri stats, We'll let you. He kept them
in the game. That was a b NFL. That is
stats so that nobody noticed. It's the touchdown, only one touchdown.
I take that one touchdown with no interceptions? Did you

(12:33):
see his walker on the sideline? Be sure to catch
live editions of The Odd Couple with Chris Brussar then
Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm Eastern, four pm Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeart Radio app. There's
another quarterback that my partner is always jumping on it,
and his name is Dak Prescott. I'm not jumping on it.

(12:55):
I'm just telling you you can't win a Super Bowl
with that dude unless everything has to be perfect, and
that's why they couldn't win against the Rams. Everything has
to be perfect. You need the perfect defense, a perfect
running back rushing for one hundred and twenty yards. You
need everything to go right, and then Dak Prescott can
help you win a football game, a big game. Was

(13:15):
Dak Prescott the problem? No, but he wasn't going to
win it for you though. We can't win it. Nobody
said he's gonna go out there consistently and throw for
three hundred and twenty yards. Nobody is ever be a
winning franchise quarterbacks which within not two picks that the
Rams dropped on on Saturday. He missed some passes, there's

(13:37):
no question. Okay, that's all I'm saying. But you know
what they were. That's why of the eight quarterbacks that
played this weekend, his QBR was second. I don't care.
I don't want to hear about it only the time
back only because two guys drop pick six. No, they
QBR takes that type of stuff into consideration. I don't
know they do it in the analytics. I'm serious. He

(14:00):
was second in QBR. He couldn't have been as bad
as you're saying. There was one and you gotta admit
that hit the guy, the linebacker, right in the hands.
All he had to do was was catched the ball
on one straight. His QBR was better than Jared Goffs.
In fact, he outplayed Jared. Please, he did not play
the Bared golf was fifteen for twenty eight. Who had
the biggest play the game. It wasn't the biggest player

(14:23):
the game play. They needed that first down the regular,
the Cowboys would have gotten the ball back and had
a chance to still like it was a big play
that was saying was the biggest player of the game.
Other big players set down play. It was an eight
point game. That was a big play to get the
first down and be able to run the clock. Scott

(14:45):
does that on the regular And I agree, you need
help when you have him as your quarterback. And I've
heard people say, now he's like Alex Smith. I think
Colin Cowhurd was saying that, Okay, you know what, maybe
he's Alex Myth with the intangibles that Alex Smith lacks,
Chris how many. He is a winner, He is a leader,

(15:07):
and he loves Saturday. He lost. Everybody that hasn't won
isn't a winner. He lost Saturday, So he's not a winner. No,
he's gonna lose a super Bowl to be win. What
was Rodgers has been a loser for the last night?
Was on Saturday? Aaron Rodgers has been a loser? Roger?
You always go there with talking about the Cruscott. What

(15:28):
if a guy doesn't the loser? What was he Saturday?
He played well? What was he saying lost his team lost?
Was he a loser. You can anybody that can this guy.
Watch his body language, watch his command of the team,
watch him operate on the bow. He did everything but
helped him win. He has the intangibles like Russell. Whenever

(15:50):
he Joe tell me he can't win the Super Bowl,
Joe Flacco won the Super Bowl. Joe when he was
when he was way past his prime, won the Super
Can I give you Joe? Can I give you Joe
Flyco's number when they won a Super Bowl and his
playoff run. He throw eleven touchdowns and zero picks. Dak

(16:10):
Prescott could never do that. Really, don't put Joe name
in his mouth. He could do. He could not eleven
touchdowns and don't half four interceptions because they do digging
a dunking. They wouldn't allow him to throw the ball
day dinking dunk. They dinking dunk when you can't throw,
That's why you dinking dunk. They controlled him so that

(16:32):
he couldn't make the mistakes. Again, nobody's sitting here saying
he's Aaron rod I hate that team on his madever
guy's not good enough. You know what they say. He
hasn't changeable. You can't cheat in the box score. Do
you Tim Tibo's a winner? You don't understand what the
winner did that? Tim t don't look at that, so
whate do He only threw for sixty eight yards? Tim

(16:54):
Tebos a winner? I'm telling you Dak Prescott is not
Tim Tebow. How you why you keep bringing up Tim Daba.
He couldn't throw the football. He couldn't throw the freaking football.
Da can't throw the can't throw the football. He was
twenty for thirty two, two hundred and sixty six yards.
That's something to write home about. He had the second
best quarter qbyard Is back in Philip Rivers. He was

(17:19):
better than Nick Folds. He got the ell because he
wasn't good enough. How about Ezekiel Elliot game more than
forty seven yards? I give you that the offensive line
stop getting man handy. The only way that they win
is Ezekiel Elliott has to has to rush for one
hundred and thirty yards. That's the only time Dak wins.
What does that tell you that it ain't dad? How

(17:40):
did the ram wheel? How did the rains? He ran
the freaking football? Get it? But I'm telling you the
everlybody needs a running game. Rob Gee I want you
to look up. Every time Dak Prescott runs for one
hundred and thirty yards, that's the only time the Cowboys win.
You mean Ezekiel Ezekiel Elliott. That's the only time they win.
Joe Montana had a Roger Craig. You need a running game.

(18:04):
They got forty seven yards. He didn't need. He's up
front the big uglies in Dallas. Who's supposed to be
this great offensive line. They got beat down. I think
it wasn't Zak press Prescott's Zak Prescott's fault. It was
their fault. Kauh. I didn't even like that joke he
has in changeable. You can't cheer in the box score?

(18:27):
Do you know what intangibles are? Who was that? Do
you know you can't cheer in the box score? Eight?
Seven seven's getting you? Do you know what intangible? Don't
go to the college. Don't go to the college. I
want to hear you. I don't see now what we want?
I know what? Oh all his leadership and his confidence

(18:50):
on us, I know what intangible. That's not important, though,
but that's what people when you don't have the pure numbers,
that's what numbers? Did you He has the intenil. Did
you not hear that about Tim Tebow? Chris, just be honest.
Now I've heard Skip saying it about Tim Tebow. That's
about it. Nobody else was saying anything about the intangibles
about Tim Tebow because I thought he could lead a

(19:12):
team as a quarterback. He can't. He can't throw. He
won a national championship. Tim, College football doesn't matter. I'm
talking about in the NFL. You got nerve, compared Firse,
You compared Tom Brady to Tim Tebow. Then you compared
Dak Prescott to Tim Tebow. I think all this birthday
month stuff is gone to your head. It hasn't been

(19:34):
a birthday month Thursday, I think, I know. But we went,
We celebrated today. You got gifts today. You got a
free meal today, vanilla bean cheesecake you're gonna be stuffing
your face with later. And they looked at me standing
back on your couch, thinking about all your funny lines
you said about Tom Brady, Take me, take me out
to lunch, and then they look at me like Chris

(19:56):
rolls his eyes. He got the nerve to order cheesecake
to go? He did, didn't he to go? No? Less
like Crystal Life cheesecake two. I was waiting for you
to order a drink to go or something. We had
a shoulder too in a plastic cup. I mean you,
Rob Dak. Look again, Dak is not the guy that's

(20:21):
got the golden arm that's gonna throw for four hundred yards.
How many super Bowls? I'm just just talk Dallas can't
win a super Bowl. It's not gonna be all his fault. No,
I'm just asking you how many super Bowls you expect.
I'm just say this. He can win a super Bowl. Okay,
he can win us. We've seen guys that aren't the
greatest passers, that are leaders of men win super Bowls.

(20:46):
He's already got a great running back, assuming they keep
Elliott for the duration now down, He's finally got a
receiver Amari Cooper. The offensive line did not hold up
there into the bargains on either side of them. There's
no doubt about that. What I'm saying is they didn't
you and will you admit they didn't lose because of Dak.
I'm not saying but it's always the only and everything

(21:07):
has to be perfect for him to win. I wouldn't
That's all I'm saying, but he needs help. I mean,
I understand, like a point guard, you know score, can
I say it is? He's like he's like a Jason Kid.
I'm not saying as good as Jason Kidd, but he's
that type of point guard that needs scores around me.
He's like he's like a raj rajion RHYNDO. Tell me this.
If if Ezekiel Elliott has forty seven yards and Dak

(21:30):
leads them to a to a playoff win, doesn't that
change the narrative about that guy. That's what I'm just
talking about. But nobody's saying he's that guy. But sometimes
you could be like, Okay, normally blah blah blah, we
need a hundred and some yards from from Zeke to win.
Look at what he did. Ezekiel elli was was held

(21:50):
to forty seven yards and the Cowboys still won because
Dak Prescott was able to improvise make something else happen.
That's all I'm talking about. I don't see that ever
happen opening, or at least not in the future. Be
sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple with
Chris Broussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm Eastern,
four pm Pacific, Rod How you doing? What's up, rods Man?

(22:15):
I'm doing good. I'm just waiting for this championship weekend,
right right, we all are excited about it. Let's let's
talk about the Cowboys game. Rob and I were just
talking about that, and uh, he was jumping on Dak Prescott.
I was defending him. Look, I don't think Dak is
ever gonna be Aaron Rodgers or guy throwing for three
hundred and fifteen yards consistently, But I do think you

(22:38):
can win with him, and I think everything doesn't have
to be perfect around him, but he needs help. I
think everything has to be perfect. Rod if you if
if if and my example of Chris is, it would
be nice if you're that guy that when you don't
have the running game right and Zekiel Elliot has forty
seven yards, only time that they win is when Zeke

(22:59):
has to have one hundred thirty yards. All I'm saying
is once in a while, it would be nice if
your quarterback can make up for that. And when your
ball game, I don't think that can do that yet.
Can they win super bowls with him? That's basically what
we're asking or a Super Bowl. I think, you know,
if if in a perfect world, if they're running the football,

(23:21):
I think they can. I think it again, it depends
upon who they're playing. When you look at that game
this past week, you know, I thought their game plan
was to run the ball. It's always to feed Zeke first,
right now, which is a smart thing to do. It
is you got one of the best running backs in
the National Football League, so feed Zeke. But they were

(23:42):
stopping that. And when you really go back and watch
the game, the success they did have was through the air.
So if if I was, you know, Jason Garrett the
head coach, your game plan has to change sometimes on
the sideline. You can't wait for it for halftime. You
can't wait for it after the game and said, oh
we should have done this, you know, I would have

(24:03):
went to more of a passion attack because they were
taking advantage of some of the poor coverages that the
Rams secondary had throughout the game. They just didn't do
it enough. Now, look, Dad doesn't play defense. They ran
the ball. They ran the ball right down. They throw
Anderson and Todd Gurley. They couldn't stop the run to
save their life. And that's the main reason they lost

(24:25):
the football game. But see, not because of Dad. But
I'm not saying that that's the reason they lost. I'm
just saying that the reason that they don't change the
game plan and allowed Dad to throw them out of
that rod as they don't trust them, they don't think
if he's that guy, and if they don't trust him,
if they don't think he's that guy, then they should
get a new quarterback because you can't play in the

(24:47):
National Football League in twenty eighteen twenty nineteen not believing
in your players, especially not believing in your quarterback, because
the quarterback is the most special player on your football team. Nowadays.
You mentioned c. J. Anderson and we saw him have
this tremendous game. He actually reminded me of Pete Johnson,
remember him for Cincinnati. That's why I thought he looked

(25:09):
like yesterday. But this guy was cut by three teams
this year and he comes in off the street and
has three straight one hundred yard games. Look, I hope
Levian Bell gets paid, but I just look at you know,
Chris Carson in Seattle had the great year, Philip Lindsay
had the great year. I just feel like you can

(25:30):
get these running back and putting know, I'm not stopping
because we just a special player who can also find
like I can find a good running back if I
have a good offensive line, I think there are a
lot of guys I can get for a lot cheaper
that can go for a hundred. Didn't stop stopping talent.

(25:52):
Let me say this, Um, you know C. J. Anderson
did have a great game, and he's random ball well
since he's been with the Rams, maybe that's the change
of scenery that he needed. But when you talk about
special players, you talk about talent, um Levion Bell is
different than all the other running backs that you mentioned,

(26:12):
just for the fact that he's shown that he can
be great, not just good. And when you it's hard
to find great players in the draft, it's hard to
get those players on your football team. It's hard to
keep them. That's one thing that I think the Prinspurgh
Seelers realized. It's hard to keep those type of players
around a year in the year out, especially in twenty

(26:32):
eighteen twenty nineteen. It's just one of those things that
it's hard to do. Would you give me seventeen million?
If you're a team, somebody's going to get him seventeen million.
I think listen, his biggest thing is he wants more guaranteed.
So he's gonna get He's you know, he's gonna get
fifteen to seventeen million dollars a year, but he wants
more guaranteed. That was that was a hold up with

(26:54):
the Steelers that he didn't he couldn't get a thirty
five forty million dollars guarantee. My girly got like girl,
he got. That's the one thing he wants. He's going
to get that from somebody. And if it's one of
those teams that's on the cusps of making the postseason
or doing damage like the Colts, like the Colts Jets,
then I don't know. I mean the Jets yet when

(27:16):
the Jets get a lot of cofferent help, No, but
I don't know what what I'm saying. They got money,
They got a young franchise quarterback. You don't think if
you add him that's going to Donald's mind work. I'm
just saying, well, I don't think I got money that.
I don't think Levian make that team a super Bowl
contending team, but it'll making them better football team because

(27:39):
he is a great player. Um. Now, the problem with
the you know, when you talking about the Jets, is
that they don't have the same officer line that the
Colts have. They don't have the same officer line that
the Pittsburgh Steelers have. So you know, would he do
the same damage that he did in Pittsburgh. He might, um,
just because he has pure natural gifts. But it will
be hard sledding to do that on the weekend and

(28:00):
week out basis if he went to the Jets. It's
the eye couple of Christmas are Rod Parker were joined
by Hall of Famer Rod Woodson. Rod. It was unbelievable
watching that Patriots Chargers game. Tom Brady threw for three
hundred and what was the three forty yards? Three yards
at a time? Was that just unbelievable with all of
Dickon and Duncan. Yeah, you know what, First of all,

(28:25):
I mean, the game was a blowout. It was terrible.
You look at the final score, you go, that was
kind of closed. No, it wasn't closed. It's twenty eight
to forty one. It wasn't even that close. It was
thirty five to seven at the half. Right. Yeah, when
you when you watch what not, just first of all.
You got to give respect to the New England Patris.

(28:46):
They hit the reset button. Uh, they were focused in.
They had a really good game plan. They were using
their running backs in the running game, but they're also
using the running backs in a short passing game, which
is like an extension of the running game. But Us Bradley,
the defense coordinator for the San Diego Chargers, I was
just blown away by his game plan by thinking that

(29:07):
you need to bring seven dybs on the field like
they did again right and made no sense. You had
the seventh d be against the Baltimore Ravens because of
Lamar Jackson's foot presence, him getting out of the pocket,
doing damage, his speed. Tom Brady ain't out run nobody.
I didn't understand. I don't have extra backer to take
to take care of that run would have helped him.

(29:29):
But playing in that soft zone all day long and
never really going to the man, the man of putting
pressure on Tom Brady was a head scratcher to me,
I didn't get it. I want to also ask you
about Drew Brees because I don't know. I know they
won the game, and but they look like they you know,
have uh still downward trend, like I picked them to

(29:51):
go to the Super Bowl, but now I'm really believing
that the Rams are going to beat them in New Orleans.
I wasn't that impressed by that way over Philadelphia. I
think if fall that past wasn't dropped at the end,
the Eagles probably would have won that game. Well, I mean,
you know, if for the fifth we all be drunk,
you know, you know, but just think about it. When

(30:13):
you really think about it, you go back and you know,
separate yourself from the emotions of any of the games. Um,
you know, the the Rams. The Rams didn't start out fast.
They were kind of sluggish, and normally when you have
those couple of weeks break you come you kind of
come out sluggish. Now listen, Philly down the stretch played
extremely well with Nick Foles at the helm, offensively, defensively,

(30:37):
some of those unknown heroes that we know, nobody knew
their names and the secondary they played well. And you
have to give them credit. And you have to give
the New Orleans Saints credit just for the fact that
they overcame that because they came out kind of slow,
they didn't match the intensity of the Philadelphia Eagles. But
at the end, of the day. They out executed the

(30:57):
Eagles down the stretch and they made enough plays to
win the football game. Now, if if they have the
running game, talking about the Rams like they did this
past week, going against a kind of a banged up
defensive line for the Saints defense and losing rankings, that's
going to hurt them. And if they can run the
football like that, going into the Bayou and eating some

(31:20):
bowl of gumbo with some bourbon, man, I tell you
gonna be a long game for them. Ride. What do
you think we'll see in the AFC title game in
Kansas City in New England? You know I said this,
I said this Friday that if and teams always you know,
then they're always are gonna say they don't care who
they play. But I'm thinking that if the Kansas City

(31:42):
Chiefs are in their locker room, and I know it
sounds kind of crazy, if they're talking about the two
different teams they want to play, which team they want
to come out, I would think it was gonna be
New England. I would think that they want to say
I want New England to come out because they know
that New England's gonna play man to man. New England's
gonna try to pressure the quarterback a little bit here
and there. If Patrick Mahomes get out of the pocket
like he did in the first game in the second half,

(32:04):
makes those chunk plays down the field. Remember in that
first game, he threw interception right before the half, right,
and the New England defense made the Kansas City Chiefs
offense pump one time, and that was a difference in
the game. So I think I think it's gonna be
a different game. I believe Kansas City um is playing.
You know, they played well this past week, so did

(32:25):
in New England. But playing in Arrowhead the first time
that they're gonna have an AFE championship game in Kansas
City is that first of all, that's crazy in their history.
And you know, I think they're gonna be They're gonna
be wound up, They're gonna be ready to play. I
think it's gonna be a high scoring affair. I think
the team that makes the other team pump one time,

(32:46):
that team's gonna win. New England has never gone to
the Super Bowl, right, having to go via the road,
gotta go to the road. Yeah, it's gonna be. It's
gonna be tough for him right, what what is it?
I don't think a team since twenty twelve, we just
heard this today, has reached the Super Bowl playing a
road playoff game. We know all the cliches. You don't

(33:07):
sleep in your own bed, and it's what really is
the difference and why teams aren't as effective when you're
on the road versus at home. You know, football players
are creatures of habit um. They like being in their
own bed, they like having been the known time zone.
But you would want to say that when the ball
gets kicked off, it doesn't matter where you're playing, it

(33:30):
doesn't matter what times when you're playing in you gotta
play great football. Um. They're just tough to go on
the road and to play in a househould environment for
one game, winner takes all. Who's going to the Super Bowl? Um?
You know sometimes you know those younger players aren't ready
for it. They think they're ready for it, but they're not.

(33:51):
And they they kind of get gunshot, they can't, kind
of get a little scared under the under the lights,
and they don't make those same plays that they made
during the regular season. And it's gonna be that one
team who makes those plays, who's not nervous. And I
know Patrick Mahomes he hasn't been nervous all year long.
I still consider him kind of a rookie. Um, but
he plays like a ten year vent. Where where do

(34:11):
you think will be the best place for Nick Foles
to land? Like? Where would you like to see him? Man?
I tell you what you know. First of all, I
think the Jacksonville Jaguars need either Nick nick Foles or
they need Joe Flacco. They gotta take one of those guys,
you know. I think if they take one of those guys,
that'd be good for him. I wouldn't be surprised if
the Airzona Cardinals took a guy to get their young quarterback,

(34:35):
just to let their young quarterback um play under a
veteran player learn from him, even though you know, I
know Kingsbury's talking about he's gonna you know he would
have draft Murray. Well, we're gonna find out if he's
gonnadraft Murray first overall pitch, you know, so we're gonna see.
But um, I wouldn't be surprised if those type of
places are there for those two players. Um. You know,

(34:56):
Nick Foles has played well, Uh, he's done he's done
his career. Uh, he has his name and a record
book for a reason. Played extremely well for him last year,
and then when he came back the second time this year,
he's played extremely well for him. So he's gonna have
a really good payday come next year, no doubt about it. Um,

(35:17):
I just forgot my question. I just oh, that's that's right, right,
he just turned fifty five. Whatever, No, I had better
you better write your question down. Remember, I think he misremembers.
I just I just had a question of my head.
I swear, I just like popped out. All right. Great
ride was sorry, of course, better way it didn't do great.

(35:44):
That's all it needs to be. Saying that unlivable you
know what I feel like Tom Brady now
