Speaker 1 (01:33):
Just one pill.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
A leave provides up to twelve hours of body relieve
so that you can keep moving.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
Used as directed, Rob Parker, you're a perfect example of that.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
You're gonna be sor tomorrow. Oh I already feel it.
You didn't help with the sound, Rob, Come on, man,
you can not help. And I just was you know, Alex,
you summer gun you. I was just telling my wife
last night, Oh, Alex, get the drops and he'll be like, oh,
I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm riding, and
then she's like, you got so stupid, and then you

(02:04):
come over here add another one, oh.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
Prow when he wakes up the middle of the night.

Speaker 3 (02:10):

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Uh So in between moving, Yes, what where should I
sleep tonight?

Speaker 6 (02:32):
We're gonna talk about it. I'm gonna break it down
for you, all right. Come on, there we go.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
As much as you think Wenby and the Association or not,
that is the funnies thing, Marcelas Parker, that is the funnies.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Marcellus is gonna break down, Marcellos. Can you break down
the move? Gona talk about it. I'm gonna break it
down for you, all right? Come on, what would you do?

Speaker 5 (02:59):
A real quick I just want to give me some insight,
all right, Alex stop, go ahead?

Speaker 1 (03:05):
What would you do? I'm crying, You're stupid man.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Would you sleep in your old apartment that still has
your bed set up your old bed? Or would you
sleep in the new apartment but the new bed isn't
set up, the mattress is on the floor.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
Those are my options for tonight. Which one is not
facing the sun? Meaning won't annoy you in the morning,
You know what I mean? Like you both are that it's.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Not like but I'm just saying I think I'm asleep
in the old bed only because it's kind of set
up even though everything's gone on the TV.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
You know, that could be creepy. Everything's Oh that might
that might scare you through that weird noise, seeing stuff
that you know normally used to that might throw you
off a little bit. It's kind of because you didn't
want to call her like this the last night in
the old spot. We did all that. Okay, copy that
moving furniture. All right, Oh that's how you're moving furniture.

(03:59):
That's how you threw your back out. So you think,
no should I should I sleeping up the old place?

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Just stay there because the beds made, it's already set
down the beds.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
On Team move forward, Yeah, yeah, I'm team move forward
in life. You got your new place. This is the
new rock. This is this words, this is it is this?
The last apartment? No l a one more one more alright,
so this will be like three years and then two
years in a small apartment that's how much smaller? About
to get a studio. That'll be the.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
Last apartment in LA. That's my last one. So it's
so rob Parker's struggling, struggling big.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
So now he just got he just buying a big,
old huge penthouse in Manhattan.

Speaker 7 (04:37):
I just want to know. Rob said he wants to
move into Saga Studio. Says a good space for him.
That's a stretches lake. There's enough room.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
Then that's all right, all right, whatever, all right, h
let's go here, Rob g Oh, this is what happens.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Uh, there's so much this we could record because he
doesn't say some stuff. We just don't have a We
can't record it, is right, we can't. We can't record
him because you didn't say some stuff. And behind the curtain,
that's why I said that that doesn't that fit yo,
By the way, I heard you know, I know that's
your favorite movie. That scene where those blind monkey thingy,

(05:16):
that's scary. Eighty five, one hundred years later, a lot
of kids grew up scared of that. Matter of fact,
the woman I forget her name right now, what was
her name? Who? Witch? Yeah, fight for your life, keep fighting.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Margaret Hamilton, Margaret Hamilton, she played the witch she had
She went on like mister Robinson's uh, mister mister Rogers,
Rogers neighborhood because so many kids grew up afraid of
her and they wanted to you know, normalize her. Yeah,
you know what I mean out of the makeup and
all us to say, hey, which is make believe and.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
This is who she is. She was really sweetart she
played it too well.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Yeah she that that was and a lot of people
growing up. I remember that like the Witch and the
color and everything, and it's my all time favorite movie.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
All right, let's get to this for Robberie swing on this.

Speaker 7 (06:09):
Yes, no, that was a good conversation.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
I like that. That was good. All right, I never
know what you're.

Speaker 7 (06:14):
Still writing it.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
It's okay, so unbelievable. Big story of the day, Bob
g that's some nice Raider shirt.

Speaker 7 (06:21):
There, Thank you, Rob. I appreciate I getting compliments on
the youtubians from this shirt. Actually, they said, the fact
that I can wear this knowing that my team sucks
says a lot.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Now that's got to be full gym shirt now, meaning
you my sweat stuff stains on you. That's car washed.
That's a daddy gotta do some stuff around the house card,
you know. But big news of the day.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
It was in Sacks Fifth Avenue when I saw that shirt.
I was like, that's thanks Ron. They left the price
Taki eighty fight that shirt. Don't look at me.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
He left the red.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Now that's the one thing I never do, Like, I'm
not into the leaving a price tag.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
But if there was a sales sticker that's coming off.

Speaker 7 (07:00):
But again, big story of the day, the Dallas Mavericks
have fired GM Nico Harrison nine months after that disastrous
Luka Doncicz trade, and now we talked about it. Now
we're one like, how much blame does he deserve?

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Was escapegoaded? Yea?

Speaker 7 (07:14):
Now we're looking forward. So what's next for the Dallas Mavericks.
If you look at their cap sheet, they got two
very highly paid, highly injured stars and Anthony Davis and
Kyrie Irvic. They have what could be or should be
the next quote unquote generational prospect in Cooper Flag and
they only control the rights to their own first round

(07:34):
pick this season and they don't do so again until
twenty thirty one.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
So, guys, in.

Speaker 7 (07:40):
The post Nico era, what's the plan for the MAVs?

Speaker 1 (07:44):
The plan is everybody can go. I would like to
keep clearly Cooper ain't going nowhere, But I would like
to keep PJ. Washington and just that. I just you
got to have somebody with score ball a little bit.
He's like that, and I would like to keep Lively
right and having me a nice big who can play
a little defense, change shots, affect things at the rim,
and then obviously, you know, be a part of that
tip dunk, offensive rebound guy. Rest of that, everybody can go.

(08:08):
I don't want to is not optimal. Know, you not
have a star like an Ad or Kyrie, but the
fact of it is rance for the rest of their careers.
I just don't know their availability. Kyrie Irvan is one
of the most special players we've ever seen, talent wise, complete,
just skill wise. Often injured, stuff's going on. There was
the COVID year and it just stuff. So there's always
you just don't know the reliability of Kyrie Irving. Talent wise.

(08:32):
We know if he just was gonna play eighty eighty games,
seventy five games, you knew what he was gonna get. Great.
Same thing with Anthony Davis two way player. I know
exactly what I'm getting on both ends of the floor
when he's healthy, when he's rolling. But I don't have
a creator right now. I don't have guys who can
get the ball. I don't have guys who can make
it easier for other people. D'Angel Russell ain't that, and
it never has been that. That's just not his skill set.
His skill set is coming really more of a come

(08:54):
off the bench and get you a bucket kind of guy.
So to me, I'm willing to start over, new general
manager coming in. You got your new rookie in Cooper
Flag who needs to get things going, and let him
just have this year to figure it out. Figure it out,
get shot up, play defense, figure out the pacing of
the NBA, figure out the competitiveness of the NBA, the

(09:14):
physicality of the NBA. Figure it all out. We're gonna
keep a couple of pieces around and then I'm moving.
I'm fielding calls. How much you want? Who wants what for?
Anthony Davis? Kyrie will be back end of the year,
early next year? Who wants what for? Kyrie? Who wants
this person? Because Klay Thompson's watched eighty is often injured,
Kyrie is often injured, and Cooper Flag is finding his way.

(09:35):
So to me, I'm open for business. To me, you
just have to be I'm hitting a hard reset, building
around Cooper, building around you know whoever the new general
manager is going to be, and fielding finding our way,
our thing, our identity because you can't you can't do
anything with the rest of these guys. To me that
I don't like the constructed and to what veil, to
what avail? The Western Conference is loaded? What be the

(10:00):
ninth seed every year for the next couple of years.
Totally disagree.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
I think that you could have because you have the
young star, you got the first overall pick who's supposed
to be a star, and you could try to go
along with what you have, hope these guys can get healthy,
make a run. He becomes the bridge to take you
into that next because you already got your guy. You
don't need the tank to get your guy. You have

(10:28):
your guy already. If you had old guys without Cooper Flag,
then I would agree with you. You already have him.
You're not gonna get better than what you just got.
So you have your guy. So the idea is to
be able to let these guys get healthy. Let's see
what we can do, right, Let's see if we can

(10:48):
make a run with this, and if not, then as
you get rid of pieces and move forward. Then you
could start to compliment him, and then you have a
bridge between us being vie with a young superstar and
the making star whatever you want to call him. Plus
you have a guy who's won a couple guys who
have won NBA Championship, so right, maybe some of that

(11:10):
rubs off on him on how to win. He's around
those kind of guys, putting him around a bunch of
young guys trying to all grow together. It could work
once in a while, but it didn't work often. So
I'm just saying, when you have a guy already and
you luck out and have that, and yet I just
think about it like Tim Duncan.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
When Tim Duncan was able to go there with David Robinson, right,
so that was unfortunate, Like they weren't as bad as
getting that number one, no, but but he was heard
and they did.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
But I'm just saying you wind up being able to
have both, you know what I mean. Tim Duncan was
obviously your future, but you had David Robinson and you
didn't go, Okay, we got Tim Duncan.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Now, let's get rid of it here. I won up
your example with your own example when you were them,
and then you start to get Tony Parker becomes a guy,
and then you go get a Kawhi. The difference is
to me a couple of things. One, you just can't
have guys they're talking about that are always injured, like
Anthony Davis, and it's only gonna get worse. He's getting older.
It's not like you got him at twenty three and

(12:12):
you say, well, we don't know, No, we know, and
it's only going to get worse, Kyrie Irvan, It's only
going to get worse. And so the reason why when
you start to look at the teams that have had
success over the last ten years or so, it's guys
who grew together. It's drafting Steph drafting Clay drafting Draymond,
drafting Harrison Barnes, and then you running around. Obviously Harrison

(12:33):
bars will leave you.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
The Toronto Winnings Championship, they had a corp got group
of guys with that, but they couldn't win with that.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Cord lebron wasn't there. They might have won, but that,
but that cord Lebronto was.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Hay No that that court didn't win, all right, And
so did what you call you talk about Okay, Philadelphia
did that. They had all these high draft picks, they
put them all together, trust the process that they they
couldn't even get.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
To the conference fot they couldn't even get there. And
then I go back to the celt again. You had
your core. They had a run. They got to a
couple of finals, they won one, and you just to me,
I'm looking at now, let's not even talk about Oklahoma
City Thunder as far as it's got some core. You
got a good you got a great young trade. I
can't believe the Clippers gave up SGA. And so my
point is, just find your things, make us a couple

(13:16):
of trades, get some young pieces and build so you
can build towards your future and then utilize you know
the next ten twelve years that you got Cooper Flag
whatever it will be, and maximize that. Pair them up
with some guys that he can grow with, Bill with
and and and fight with. Go through the get their
lumps and bruises as a splash brothers and Draymond did,

(13:36):
and the Celtics did. You got to go through some
things in the NBA. We all know that. So get
some Cooper Flag. Pair them up with a couple of young,
good guys. One could be a little older, twenty five
to twenty sixes. You definitely need somebody in their prime.
And then let's go through some things. Let's go lose
a couple of times in the playoffs in the Western
Counas finals and get to a final. To me, that's
what I'm doing. I'm not hoping that guys who are

(13:57):
always injured don't get injured. That's what I'm I'm not
in the business to do.

Speaker 8 (14:00):
It all right, eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox

And should the MAVs tear it down, that's what Kelvin
wants to do.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
Trade a d trade Kyrie, tear it down, fly Cooper
flag out of town? Is that what you want? Okay,
We'll continue that conversation next with you. Because I think
he's a loco. What's the name of that chicken restaurant?
Don't act like you got stock in it?

Speaker 1 (14:33):
A loco, pocolo? What is it? It's only what my daughter
would say.

What do you do? I say, Man, eventually I'm fielding calls.
I'm trying to blow this thing up. I'm trying to
get a couple of years of rebuilding.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
You know, sound like a job as a general manager.
I'm not well, you're not buying.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Wait wait no, because you was Nico, you ain't got
a job. No, no, no, no, you were Nico. You
don't have it.

Speaker 3 (16:46):
Always sound like somebody who doesn't sell tickets or or
understand that this is a business.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
Wait. Wait, listen, I'm sorry your your arena was filled
with Laker jersey. Listen, listen to what I'm talking about.
General manager, park No.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
You you act like like it's not a business, Like, hey,
come back in five years, we'll get our coach, we'll
find out guy, and we'll just be bad and don't
worry about it. That's not how it works. I don't
care how bad you are. That's not how it works.
It's a business.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Scrap You can't scrap everything. You can't do that. You
do realize if you were able to do push through
and then you can be good for five to ten years,
how great that is for business. You do know that's
a part of me.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
That's not you still trying the whole time. You can
never throw in the towel.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Okay, you get your LinkedIn page ready to a general
manager Parker.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
Sean Yet and Sacramento. You're on the couple of Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
What's up showing yo?

Speaker 9 (17:47):
I'll go from another mother cousin, Kelly, my brother's mind, boy,
Rob g Man, you about to cast Rob P and
this weight loss challenge bro out here keep popping up
out here looking skinny or and skinnery, that we go
be better be paying you, bro.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
Yeah you mind get a sponsorship Rogie lo key, what's
what you're working on?

Speaker 9 (18:04):
Hey, I'm a sponsorship tip. M J and the odd
Mob clarify what he was saying. It was because doctor
Roberts Dediah Parker is slinging e depails like Jerry Rice
was slinging wings.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
So you couldn't hear him for some reason. We couldn't
hear him.

Speaker 5 (18:19):
What's what's I don't understand? Is it really hard to
sling pill? We don't say that. That's the Hey.

Speaker 9 (18:28):
If they paid me, if they're paying you to use
something you're already using, why not?

Speaker 3 (18:33):
Oh god, I wasn't sure. Do you know something? I
don't know what I've been waiting for. I've been waiting
for my you know, uh yeah, just not right now?

Speaker 9 (18:42):
Quick warning, Rob, don't do it. Uh there you go,
Alex real quick on this tip. I'm not all the
way there with you, Koby. I agree. I would make
moves while you can I think them firing Nico was
just to just to get the fans off their back.
They was chatting fire Nico and restaurants there was firing.

(19:05):
They were hollering fire Nico at Chuck e Cheese. It
was going around the entire city. So they just Kenry.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
Remembers this Shawks with Matt Mellan during his and it
was at Michigan games.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
It was at.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
Everywhere everywhere, Right, it didn't Red Wings game, fire melon.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
They would just be chaitting during it had nothing to
do or nothing. They'd be the local news in the
background camera. That's right.

Speaker 9 (19:31):
So the owners got rid of that stigma. And so
I don't know what you to get. Maybe try to
get Jist out out of Memphis and try to see
what he could do if you get rid of that
that walking injury a d I mean, my man gets
hurt stretching in the morning. But other than that, I
don't think you should get rid of cleaning. I don't
think I mean not clean. I don't think you should
get rid of the rookie. I don't think you should
get rid of Kyrie. Once he's bag you got a
good base, but just build around him. Man, you can't

(19:53):
let the fans down like that and wave the white flag.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
That's why I told you I'm open for calls. I'm not.
I'm saying if you called me and you got a
good deal for I read well dagg it, let me
hear it. You called me, you got a great deal
for a d well dagg it all day, we can
do it. Call me with a great deal. I am
open for business. Who nexts Chili? Tim in Atlanta? You're
in the yard couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up? Tim?

Speaker 10 (20:15):
Here?

Speaker 11 (20:15):
We ro Kelvin?

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Are you mad? Chilillie? Chili sounds like she said, And
I'm tired of it going to basement like you had
a name like you got in the basement.

Speaker 10 (20:26):
No, I'm just now I'm being Chili tonight. But I
guess I want to make it too for two Kelvin.
I can't believe you actually want to scrap it. That's
they wanted the That's crazy. I mean you already if
you do that, like Rob just saying it's a business,
what are you leaving for the fans? I mean you
got at least play out to the you know, to
the end of the year and see what you have.

(20:47):
You knew at the beginning of the season day that
Kyrie was going to not be back even to All
Star Bridge, right, So so you already knew what you had.
I think you just got to kind of play it
out because if you do what you're talking about, Kelvin
and Cooper Flaggs is balanced at the culture of losing.
I mean, you could break that dude within a two

(21:07):
year span and just like killing. So I say, build
around what you got, Like Sean said, you got a
pretty decent team around.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
Don't forget this too.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
There were people who were saying like they thought they
had a championship contending team.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
Y'all know I wasn't. Okay, you weren't, but there were people.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
I'm just saying, given, like if everybody would have to
be healthy and then you can with the addition of
Cooper flag and if Kyrie you know, like like you
want me to.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Give you a chili, but that that's too many.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
No, But I'm just saying people were saying that going
into this season. I'm not saying that I said.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
And I was mad at everybody'll and y'all know I
was manager. Every time we would get a caller, you're right,
that would come in I'm big on the Mavericks, but
you were last year.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
You were like big on on the Lakers and and
Lebron and what you called it. So last year you
thought they were gonna make a run. I sat here
next to you, and.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
You were like, well, who would you picking the worst?
What Lebron? I'll take Lebron and and Luco of anybody.
Do you say that they got to do with what
I'm just saying, what they got to do with Dallas
all I'm saying. No, I don't want you throwing up
random stuff. No, what they got to do with Dallas.
I'm telling you that, Yes, people can be wrong, but
you could be wrong too. No, I'm only wrong with

(22:21):
NFL pick'ems. That's the only time I'm wrong. All right,
on the way we got Christian Clark, we will ask
him somebody his questions. I did have a good week,
rob Gie, tell me that a minute.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
Live Join now by Christian Clark, Dallas Maverick supporter for
the Athletic Christian P Clark on X Christian, what's up?
How you doing great? Doing great? All right, let's let's
just jump straight to it. Do you get the big news?
Any surprise you that Nico will be relieved of his duties? Maybe?
Was it early? Did you think it was gonna happen

(23:01):
at all? Or is this a pacify the fans in
this terrible start?

Speaker 12 (23:05):
Yeah, I would say I would say my antenna was
up as early as Friday. The Mavericks were in Memphis
playing the Grizzlies. The final res all didn't look that bad,
but they were down by thirty four points in that game.
I mean, really, it was just a terrible performance. You know,
they started the season poorly. They looked horrible on the offensive,

(23:27):
and you know they were thirtieth for on offense for
much of their first ten games. And I had heard
after that game on Friday in Memphis, hey, look, don't
you know it. It's going to happen at some point, Like,
you know, we wanted to see Nico's vision, but we've
seen enough, I mean the first ten games basically just
say like it's not panning out right now. There's been

(23:50):
a lot of public embarrassment, like this is probably gonna happen,
and then Patrick Dubutt comes in town on Monday and
they do the DED on Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
So did Aaron Glenn tell you to ask Rich Samini
about this or about the information?

Speaker 1 (24:05):
I'm just kidding Eric at the create, Like, what did
I do? Now? Rock? Sorry?

Speaker 3 (24:10):
I'm sorry, Christian, I'm just I couldn't help it. Uh,
what's going on? We already know the team is bad,
off to a terrible start three and eleven or whatever.
The Cooper Flag thing has me, uh befuddled, really and
I can't figure it is he's a point guard now?
Or what's going on here? Uh with with Cooper Flag?

(24:31):
And whose idea is this?

Speaker 12 (24:34):
It is Jason Kidd who decided, Hey, look we're gonna
put the ball Cooper Flag's hands. We're gonna make them
the de facto point gard. I mean really, it was
Cooper Flag in PJ. Washington doing a lot of the
ball handling for the matterage of the first seven games.
They tried it. It was not working out, And for
these past few games they've started a traditional point guard.

(24:55):
They tried the Angel Russell and then they've tried Brandon Williams,
and I think they're going to continue rolling with the
jerdisial point guard. I think it's going to be Brandon
Williams for the time being. I just think that was
too much for Cooper, you know, and I think, like,
you know, people are like, oh my gosh, she was
inefficient his first ten games, Like, we've got no shooting
around him. He's eighteen years old, you know, I mean,

(25:18):
what do you what do you expect let go a
broad numbers when he's eighteen. It wasn't efficient and again
there's just no shooting around him. So you know, look,
at least putting Brandon Williams around helps a little bit.

Speaker 10 (25:29):
You know.

Speaker 12 (25:30):
I thought, I thought last night was like, by far,
the best game I've seen him play in the NBA
so far. I thought, he's, you know, excellent against the bus.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Yeah, I mean, I think you mentioned it. Sometimes we're
going to forget it. And it's a disadvantage to a
lot of these young guys who come in one and done.
They're eighteen, they're nineteen, and you're not really going to
get into your groove. So you're twenty two, three four.
But let me ask you this. We just had a
topic of what do you do now? Right Nico's gone,
Luca's been gone since last season, You're trying to move forward.
What do you think they do they just ride this

(25:59):
thing out. Are they going to fit calls for somebody
like an Anthony Davis or Gafford or Lively or Irene
if he were healthy like or are they going to
say no, this is the squad, let's ride it out.

Speaker 10 (26:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (26:09):
Look, I think you're asking the really interesting question. You know,
today they named Matt McCardy and Michael Family's co interim GMS.
They said, we're going to conduct, you know, a ye
ranging search for Nico Harrison's permanent successor. I think the
answer your question depends on who do they hire and
what's their vision? You know. I think that's something that

(26:30):
they're going to be gathering information on. Is they go
through this process of hiring you know, Nico Harrison's successor,
because it's a it's a tricky problem. I mean, you
have Cooper Flag and you got these aging veteran stars,
but you do not control your own first round picks
fer twenty twenty seven to twenty thirty. So how are
you going to continue to strengthen the roster on Cooper Flag?

(26:51):
Is you know he approaches his prime exactly. I think
it's a difficult team building problem.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
I don't understand the co uh GM or whatever. They
couldn't pick a guy. Ownership doesn't sound good to me. Whenever,
What do I say when you have two girlfriends that
don't neither one of them is pretty good?

Speaker 1 (27:10):
Uh? What is that?

Speaker 9 (27:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (27:14):
I mean, look those you know, Michael Family was number
two in the front office, Matt McCard, who was the
number three in the front office. You've got you've got
kind of the you know, classic former player, and then
you've got the you know with like the high school
player who's worked in the front office for a long
time and steadily worked his way up. I'm not that
concerned about it, you know, Like I think Patrick Dumont

(27:35):
is going to be heavily involved in a lot of
these decisions. I don't I don't think they're going to
be doing anything earth shattering, you know, like if they're
making an Anthony Davis trade, I don't think the co
interim gms are going to be doing that. That's just
my my reado on the situation right now. I mean,
I think I think the really difficult problems you you wait,
you hold off on that for whoever you decide to

(27:57):
hire full time.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
Christian Clark Dallas Maverage before the Athletic our guests now
the Yakapa Robin Kevin on a trash talk and Tuesday, Christian,
I want to go here. Uh, what what's it like there?
You know? Are are the fans resilient? Are they still
in are they are they not showing up the games?
Are they still ticked off about Luca? What's it like then?
For the fan base there?

Speaker 12 (28:17):
The Mavericks have a fantastic fan base. They're a passionate
fan base. Here's here's the kind of support the fans
had been given Cooper Flag early on, before Cooper Flag's
first name, when the national anthem was you know, being sung,
the fans chanted Flag didn't unison, you know when when
they get to that part of the national anthem. They've
been doing that every time, like they they show love

(28:38):
for their guys, and they showed they showed hate for
Nico Harrison and it wasn't going away. And really like
this was a unique situation because the fan anger was
not going away. I mean, Nico Harrison almost got fired
because just that fan sentiment was not fading away. Like
it was an untenable situation.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
Do the fans know that he can't make that trade
without approval from ownership?

Speaker 1 (29:02):
I just I don't.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
I get it. It's easy, But he didn't make that trade.
Come on, they didn't want to pay him, Like question,
what am I missing?

Speaker 1 (29:13):
Really? Actually, he made the trade on his own.

Speaker 12 (29:16):
I actually totally disagree with that.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
So he made the trade on his own.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
He just went to ownership and decided they're going to
trade away a five time first ald NBA player at
twenty five years old.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
I can't believe that.

Speaker 12 (29:30):
Look, here's what I would say. Mary Madison has thirty
two billion dollars, you know, paying Luca, paying Luk at
the Supermacs. That's actually a drop in the bucket if
you look at her like networth, Like she's not Steve
Balmer Wolfie, but she's richersh the Mavericks almost the second
Apron team this year. Like the Mavericks have owned, like
have an extraordinarily expensive payroll. Have you looked at how

(29:52):
much Andy Davis is making? Like Andy Dinnis makes a
ton of money. I think Look, Patrick Hunt, Yes he
had to sign off on this. Yes, he obviously played
a part of the systems and not get done without Patrick.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
Okay, that's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
And the ownership could stop it if they didn't want
to trade him, if they thought to themselves, what are
you doing? Not only are we're not trading him, we're
firing you. How's that like if that's ownership. I just
don't believe that one day he woke up, we saw
the video of them taking a beer out of a
grown man's hands after he celebrates going to the NBA Finals,

(30:27):
that there weren't some deeper stuff, Christian, that's just that
that maybe people don't want to report or talk about.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
But there's gotta be more. It can't be just Nico.
I get it. He's the general manager, he's the face.
Come on, man, if there's something.

Speaker 12 (30:42):
More, No, I don't I don't think. I don't think
you have a clear read on the situation.

Speaker 8 (30:47):
I think you're down there.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
But it doesn't sound like it doesn't make sense to me,
just on paper, just on a talent. It can't be
a trade about talent. It doesn't make sense. That's all
I'm saying.

Speaker 12 (31:00):
Well, I think that Nico Harrison maybe is not a
you know, like a sound talent of the evaluator.

Speaker 3 (31:05):
So when they got to the NBA finals of he
didn't know what he was doing then either, right, come on, man,
which one is.

Speaker 12 (31:11):
I think that he I think that he does not
understand like the value of a shot creating guard in
today's bay. I think I think he thought Luca was
a much less valuable, worse player than he actually was.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
That's that's a shame. That'll depth. That'll get you fired
right there. Hey know how they got to the finals.
He doesn't know what he's doing. He doesn't even know
what to do.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
He had Luke on his team and they're going and
he's the first team All Pro for five years in
a row, and he.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
Thinks he's no good. Okay, I don't know. He must
have tried to pull the sandwich out of his mouth
and he got mad or something. They got into it.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
Go watch that video, Christian of the beer that they
took away from him, Michael Finley, who's now in charge,
and find out what that was, because I don't know
who takes a beer away from a grown man.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
I don't even understand it.

Speaker 9 (31:58):
He was that Chris Michael Y.

Speaker 12 (32:01):
Yeah, I mean, look you know, Nicole Harrison is a
he's a health nut. You know the guys.

Speaker 9 (32:07):
Okay, that's what it was, you know, I.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
Mean there was splashing Champagne on everybody else. What the
health can he go?

Speaker 1 (32:16):
Right? Okay, Christian? All right, have a great Thank you Christian,
appreciate it. Man. Now you can yell at me. Now
what else we're saying? I yell at him too. I
know you will, but I'm saying we gotta go. All right,
last call on the way eight seven seven. You have
Christian calling back for last call. Like another thing I
was trying to say before you give it a rock,
Jesus goes. He just scratched Christian off the list eight

(32:36):
seven seven ninety nine.

Speaker 3 (32:38):
He would give us anything heat like Nicole Harrison doesn't.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
Know what he gave anything like what he gave me.
Problem you wanted to send it back? Return here trying
to take other people. Saw you should have said gave
should you should have said?

Speaker 9 (32:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (32:53):
Rob, hang up on that guy, Yeah, Rob, hang up
on that guy.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
See Alex understands what I'm eight seven seven now in
that know Fox, I'm here for the fans. Christian go back.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
You know what if you want to go on a
milk toe show and then everything that you say, Fox,
go ahead and do it.

Speaker 5 (33:09):
There's plenty of show. Why does Nico? Why does this
gets you so fired up?

Speaker 1 (33:13):
Christian was just trying to tell you it's more than
meets the eye, That's all I tell you. Have you
ever seen a video on I'm taking a beer for Michael? Yeah,
gim me that was that after they won, after they
won the West Final to go to the final. Yeah,
and you can't celebrate, No, that mean they had him
on a diet, son, a caloric diet. You can't have

(33:34):
more galleries of carbs than this. Oh yeah. By the way, Fox.

Speaker 5 (33:36):

were asking some good questions, fair questions, and he was
giving you some answers. You just didn't even I don't
