Speaker 1 (00:05):
This is Straight Fire with Jason McIntyre.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
What is up Fire, Pam, It's me Jason McIntyre, Straight
Foyer for Monday d December the first. Oh boy, December
is a great month. Obviously chaotic as well. You got
the holidays kicking into high gear. Hopefully you got your
Christmas tree over the Thanksgiving break, I will I'll be
(00:34):
on solo today, so I'll be brief on the Thanksgiving
break recap. I'll just say it was so refreshing. Guys
got out of town not far and was able to
chill out. No working out, no listening to podcasts, just
a lot of fun board games with the family, caught
up on some Stranger things, caught up on bell Air,
(00:57):
which is a great show. I really like it. My
son thinks of the stuff as Ai generated. My wife
thinks it's corny whatever. They're not really watching. They're like
in the room when I'm watching. And it was just
it was just fun, a great break. And I'll just
say this, Thursday's Thanksgiving football games were amazing. Friday's Bears
upset splendid. You know, listen, we had a lot of
(01:19):
picks on the podcast, and Thursday and Friday's games were
great college football not an amazing weekend. Sunday was wild
in the NFL. And you know, I don't know how
much we should go back into the Thanksgiving games. Obviously
the Chiefs upset by the Cowboys is huge. Well, I
think we'll eventually get to that. I think though we
(01:40):
got to start. I mean, listen, the college football stuff
was bonkers. Lane Kiffin leaving will definitely get into that.
I just think, you know, I remember back like Week
three and there was like nobody that great in the NFL.
And I think by like week four or five, like
nobody was unbeaten, something wacky like that. And so early
in the season like, man, nobody, nobody's that good. There's
(02:00):
no dominant team here. And then every like few weeks
throughout the season we try to crown somebody as dominant.
Oh well, you know, the Eagles are eight and two,
they're dominant, And I kind of bought into the egles.
I thought, oh, they got some stuff cooking. The defense hurts.
They look the opposite of dominant against the Bears. Maybe
it was just that was their one mulligan where they
kind of sort of no showed. Maybe that was it
(02:22):
for the Eagles. And then they're gonna be fine. But
then you look around and you're like, well, what about
the Seahawks, And you know, they got the nice win
in cover for us, but they did lose to the
Rams straight up. And then it's like, well then it's
the Rams, and I'm like, well is it the Rams?
And they go out Sunday lay a colossal egg against
the Panthers. Now it was raining, Okay, it was a
(02:45):
bit of a letdown spot after that huge Rams win
over Seattle, and Matt Stafford was you know, remember we'd
like to crown people as MVP MVP MVP and then
of course what happens. Matt Stafford goes out and throw
three picks. First, one not his fault, I'm sorry, two
picks in a fumble. The pick six was brutal, and
then he had the fumble which lost the game on
(03:06):
the game time drive, and all of a sudden, the
Rams looked mortal. But it wasn't just Stafford. Let's just
put things in perspective. The Rams offense moved the football
at will. I don't know how many times they punted,
but it wasn't many. I mean they averaged seven point
four yards per play. How's this. They only had five
third downs in the entire game. That's how much they
were cooking on first and second down. Only phase five
(03:27):
third downs. Most teams ten to fifteen third downs faced
a game. Rams had two hundred and forty six yards
at halftime. They were a machine, but undone by turnovers
and the pick six obviously hurt badly. And let's be real,
Bryce Young on the high leverage downs looked like a
franchise quarterback. I'm not calling him one, of saying he
looked like one when it's third and eight and he
(03:50):
throws a touchdown. When it's fourth and three, he throws
a bomb touchdown. When it's fourth and two, when he
throws another bomb touchdown. And these passes are great. I
mean I'm talking like perfect passes. All of a sudden,
Ram's secondary look very shaky, and you're like, oh, well, man,
if they have to face and then you look around
the NFC and you're like, oh, there's other than JSN
and I guess, to a lesser extent, the Packers crew
(04:12):
a'm aa Saint Brown has now hurt. Oh well, you know,
if the Rams have to face the Cowboys, they could
be cooked because Let's be real. That secondary of the
Rams was filayd. It was bad. And I don't know
what Bryce Young. I don't know what you do with
Bryce Young. You know, maybe you give him I don't
know what the number, the name of the contract is,
but whatever, like Sam Darnold the Baker Mayfield get, maybe
(04:33):
you give him something like that. I don't know. The
inconsistency's glaring. This is a team that lost to the
Saints a few weeks ago. Guys. Okay, but the Rams
right now probably still the best of the NFC. I
told you, guys, I think I might have said on
the Herd if you like the Packers against the Lions,
and I love the Packers, you want to buy their
(04:54):
Super Bowl futures before that game. They are now in
great position to get potentially overtake the Bears in the division,
which is hilarious. As of this moment, as I record
this right now, the Bears are the number one seed
in the NFC. That's how goofy things are. Okay, it's
not a slight to the Bears. That's just the reality
of the situation. But I mean you look around the
league and you're like, I mean, are there are there
(05:16):
Rams that dominant, they're probably gonna win the West. But
here come the Niners with a really nice win over
the over the Browns on the road, and don't scoff
that Browns defense at home is tough. But all of
a sudden, it was just one of those moments where
the Rams kind of sort of look mortal and you're like, geez,
I don't know that that that they're that good. And
(05:37):
how's this stat for Bryce Young and the Panthers. They
have seven wins this year. That's more than they had
the last two seasons combined. Any way you slice it.
Dave Canalis, who was with Baker Mayfield in Tampa, has
done a terrific job. Bryce Young, Listen, it hasn't been
pretty all the time, but he got the job done.
And that's your biggest upset of Sunday by I think
by a country mile. I'm still alive in Survivor with
(05:59):
my big, big pool. A lot of people had the Rams.
It's down to I think one hundred and thirty seven left.
This coming week is gonna be unbelievable. It's gonna be
a major Survivor sweat if you do not have Tampa
and Justin Herbert plays through what is a broken bone
in his hands. He's having surgery on it today, which
(06:22):
is insane. If he doesn't play, I guess you could
take the egos if you still have them. But if
he does play, you're not taking the egos in that game,
and you don't have Tampa, You're kind of up the creek.
I'm just saying, whatever you have next weekend, like I
would say, hey, dude, if you don't have your Christmas
tree and the wife's like, oh, we'll get it next Sunday. No, no, no,
(06:43):
no no, I'm just telling you right now, guys, the
schedule next week is off the hook. Okay, listen to
all these incredible games for next week. So Thursday night,
Cowboys at Lions, Dallas, still alive in the division, still
alive for the wild card. The Lions will not have
Alma Rosside Brown, and I mean, you just watched Jordan
Love cook them. I don't see why the Cowboys can't
move the ball up and down the field. I haven't
(07:04):
bet anything yet this week, but I'll probably look to
see if there's a three and a half anywhere on
the Cowboys there. It looks like they're all gone and
it's just a flat three. But that's a tough game
for the Detroit Lions. So that's a great game Thursday
in primetime. Then you have Bengals Bills all of a
sudden because everything broke the Bengals. Wait, they beat the Ravens.
(07:24):
The Steelers lose to the Bills and looked really future
doing it, and now the Bengals are like, wait a minute,
We're still only a couple games out of winning this
division and we have a million division games. So Bengals
still alive, Bills restored order in Buffalo Land, They're fine.
Then you have Colts Jags. In a stunning turn of events,
(07:47):
the Jaguars are tied with the Colts atop the division. Folks,
is that not wild? The Jaguars tied with the Colts.
I'm the idiot who had the Titans in the freaking
contest two and two pending Giants Tonight seven and a
half Colt Jacks is a really good game. And Daniel
Jones in this broken leg. It's weird you hear he
has a broken fig fibula and he plays now. He
(08:08):
didn't run much and he wasn't doing the quarterback sneaks
on the touch push. That's a huge loss. We can
get to the Colts either today or tomorrow. Steelers Ravens
both six and six's. That's a humongous game obviously in
the division. Then you have Bears Packers in what I
believe is the standalone for twenty five game. But it's yeah,
(08:32):
So Bears Packers is an unbelievable game at Lambeau green Bay.
Six point favorites Rams Cardinals is nothing special. Broncos Raiders is.
I mean, the Raiders are unwatchable right now. So yeah,
Bears Packers is everything at four to twenty five. Then
next Sunday night, you have Texans who lead the Chiefs
by one. Got CJ. Stroud back. Texans looked kind of good.
I was on them in the contest. They go to
(08:53):
Kansas City. I don't know how the Chiefs are favored
by four. I don't we could get to that. That's
got to be a bet on the Texans. And then
next Monday, Eagles Chargers. I mean, if you talk to
anybody in Philly, it's Defcon one. They're panicking. Meanwhile, Chargers
fans are geeked after their win over the Raiders. All right,
so let's go so we covered the Panthers. That was
an impressive win. I don't want to do too much
(09:14):
on the Niners. I'll just say this, if you're looking
for forward looking indicators, Okay, in the wind, rock Purdy
no turnovers. We're talking twenty mile an hour winds. The
snow never really materialized, but the weather wasn't great for passing.
Rock Purdy no turnovers. Special teams for the Niners have
turned around thanks to sky Moore, remember him former Chiefs.
(09:36):
I think first round pick or high second round pick.
And then the San Francisco pass rush. They got Cleland
Farrell off the scrap heap. He's delivering and all of
a sudden, Robert Salah is manufacturing pressure. And folks, I'm
just just be careful with the Niners. Everybody's sleeping on them.
Guess what, They have a bye next week, the late bye,
(09:58):
So anybody who can get healthy get healthy. It is
I mean, I know you want usually the late by,
but I think this could be a springboard to the
postseason for the Niners. Just keep an eye on that team.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
I do think there is a whiff of implosion when
it comes to the Steelers. So they go up seven
to nothing. James Cook fumbled and the Steelers go up
seven to nothing. I think it's seven to three at halftime.
And in the second half Pittsburgh could do nothing. Folks.
They finished with one hundred and sixty six total yards
(10:43):
against a Buffalo defense that has been just kind of
hit and miss.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
It was.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
I was shocked. I mean, I didn't have any money
on this game. I like the Bills just because I
like them, But once I heard both starting tackles are out,
I was like, you can't bet them, no way, So
they adjusted it. Josh Allen barely through the football. It
was thirty two carries for James Cook for a buck
forty four a doll up of Ray Davis. And in
(11:10):
what I didn't know was a record, the Buffalo Bills
set a record for the most rushing yards by a
visitor in Steelers Stadium history two hundred and forty nine yards. Now,
it's not like the stadium has been around from the sixties.
This is at Akashrfield. I don't know when it popped,
but it was probably in the last twenty five years.
Bottom line is the Steelers got bullied. That does not happen.
(11:32):
And finally people are coming around to my Tjwatt trade
idea from two years ago. How about this TJ. Watt
total non factor. He has had two or fewer pressures
in five games this season, and you can start to
see the wear and tear in the injuries mounting on TJ.
(11:54):
Watt and it sucks. But worse yet is Aaron Rodgers, Folks.
So Aaron Rodgers took a lethal kill shot from one
of the Boser brothers and he gets planted. He gets
his nose like, I don't know if it was busted open,
but it looked like the bridge of his nose somehow
(12:14):
maybe hit his helmet face. Bottom line, he got he
gets knocked out of the game. Mason Rudolph comes in,
throws an instant interception. You're like, all right, get this
guy out of here. Rogers goes back in, but was
it was futile. They couldn't run, they couldn't pass. And
after the game, Aaron Rodgers, he got asked a lot
about some Mike Tomlin stuff. And he's like, I'm not
asking answering that question. I like Mike Tom and I
(12:35):
have full faith in the coaching staff. But then it
came to the players, and he said, when there's film sessions,
everybody shows up, and when I check to a route,
you do the right route. He's starting to deflect blame
onto his receivers. I mean, I don't know who's getting blame.
Is it DK Metcalf, is it Ben Scronic, is it
(12:56):
Calvin Austin? Is it Roman Wilson? I don't know. But guys,
as a Jets fan, I've seen this show before. It
ain't pretty. Packers fans know the same thing. It's not fun.
Aaron Rodgers is a jerk, and when things are going great,
Aaron Rodgers is wonderful. And as soon as they go south,
the blame game and the finger pointing starts. Pittsburgh six
and six, they essentially beat the Bengals, and let me see,
(13:23):
that was that Browning though that was Flacco and I
think the defense scored two touchdowns. But basically they've lost
three of four since that Indie win. If you want
to go further back, they've lost five of seven. Now,
a lot of them are the good teams, but hello,
they got to face Baltimore, Detroit, Baltimore still and hell,
Miami's not terrible at this point, so I'm gonna I
(13:44):
said it before, I don't think the Steelers are playoff bound.
They're just not a good football team right now. That
being said, AFC North has no teams with a winning record,
no team with a positive point differential, and Joe Burrow
lurking lurking just two games back. Here's the funniest thing
(14:04):
about the AFC playoff picks. Are you ready for this?
So Patriots head into tonight um number one tied with Denver.
I think the Patriots get that. Denver still has another.
I think is it one or two with the Chiefs left.
Let's see here, No, they have they have one left
(14:25):
with the Chiefs, Denver has the Raiders. That's a win,
but they have to go. They have to face Green Bay,
Kansas City, Chargers, Jacksonville. That's four good teams. Patriots don't
face that many. So I'll go Patriots one, Broncos probably two.
But as of right now, Jacksonville's three, Baltimore's four, Chargers, five,
(14:46):
Colts six. I don't know that that's gonna last. We'll
see Bill's seven, Houston eight, Pittsburgh nine, Kansas City is ten. Guys,
So Kansas City has pretty much I mean, listen, we
don't want to say it's the season. But all these
yahoos who were like, oh, well, Kansas City, you can
bet them great value to get into the playoffs and
(15:08):
get to the super Bowl and all this stuff. We've
been hearing this for a month from all these perceived sharps.
It's like, oh, yeah, eh, Kansas City, yoh, the numbers
say this. At some point you've got to add the
eye tests just a little bit and be like, these
guys aren't that good. You gotta do that. So Kansas
City has to beat Houston this week, and again I
(15:28):
don't think that's a lock at all. Now at home
they are clearly better, but they barely put away the Colts.
At home, they have to leap frog Houston and Buffalo Buffalo,
who they lost to the Colts, who they beat. They're
down one to the Chargers. Should Jacksonville slip up, they've
still got to pass Jacksonville. And I don't even think
Jacksonville's that good. And folks, Kansas City has an uphill climb.
(15:52):
Fun fun interesting stat from that from that Chiefs game.
Here's what Dallas did against the great Steve Spagnolo. Now,
remember everybody, Steve Spagnolo is an unbelievable defensive coordinator. His
history is unsurpassed. But on the road this year, they
can't stop anybody. They don't beat anybody on the road, period.
Don't beat the Raiders on the road. But that's the Raiders.
(16:14):
Kansas City gave up four hundred and fifty seven yards
to Dallas seven point zero yards per play on the
money down third down. You know what Spagnolo does on
third We're bringing the house. We're blitzing, We're messing you up.
You don't know where the blitz is coming from. Dallas
was nine of sixteen on third down and the Chiefs
I keep hearing, well, you know, maybe it's just not
their year. I don't know. Have you guys been paying
(16:34):
attention against Dallas? Ten penalties for one hundred and nineteen yards.
They couldn't cover Pickens and cd lanb Now not many
people can, but they were grabby, they were handsy. McDuffie
got cooked a couple of times, folks. Kansas City just
ain't that good. They're just not. The problem is for
everybody else, nobody else is great. I mean, you don't
(16:55):
watch Denver and see greatness. I still have a hard
time picturing the Patriots or Broncos going to the super Bowl,
which is why there's some huge super Bowl like super
Bowl matchup. Odds now, you gotta wait for Monday Night
Football ten. But on Tuesday there's gonna be some a
couple that I bet what was it like two weeks ago,
(17:20):
I had possible Super Bowl matchup? Again, this is plus
four thousand Bill's packers. Would you be shocked if that happens?
I would not Seahawks Ravens. That was like, I don't
I don't see that actually happening. I just mentally don't
know if I can see Seattle in the in the
(17:41):
Super Bowl. I don't. And obviously part of it is well,
they haven't been there in forever. And Sam Donald, we
know him as the guy who sees ghosts. We watched
Brian Floores essentially say we're gonna make you roll out
to the way you're not comfortable every single time, and
Darnald could do nothing. He'd like he couldn't see where
the pressure was coming. From they were, he was confused
(18:04):
on the back end. Darnold had a terrible game. Now
the defense has scored like thirty fantasy points because they
were playing a rookie quarterback. But like, I can't see
a Seattle in the Super Bowl, can you. I'm sure
it could. Obviously anything could happen, but visually Seattle Raven
super Bowl, You're like, Wow, that's that's freaking crazy. You know,
I bet Packers Patriots plus six thousand, and then you
(18:29):
get Rams Bills as another one. Now, Rams are a
team we could see there because Stafford and they've been
there in McVeigh, Josh Allen's been on the doorstep forever.
That plus fifteen hundred seems a little more likely. I'd
the AFC is going to be chaos at some point.
We're just waiting for the Chiefs to turn it on.
At some point. We're waiting for the Baltimore Ravens to
(18:50):
absolutely take over. I mean, it's just it's a very
strange situation in the AFC right now. I don't I'm
struggling to make sense of it. But you know, this
is just what we do. We gamble and we try
our best. In the end, Oh oh, we'll talk a
little other NFL stuff. Bears number one seed, but I
(19:11):
saw they had on Sunday the twelfth best super Bowl
odds Heading into Sunday, they're the number one seed in
the NFC. That will change, obviously as we get a
little closer. Nobody really thinks the Bears will go to
the Super Bowl. This has been an amazing start. Ben
Johnson's pushing all the right buttons. They have a run game,
the defense is showing well. If they don't fall behind
(19:35):
to a good team, they're gonna be okay, they're gonna
be in the game. If they fall behind it to
a good team, then you've got to have Caleb Williams
bring you back. And I don't know that he's capable
of that. He could do it against the Giants and
the Raiders and the bad team. Sure, sure, Titans, okay whatever.
I need to see him do it against a good team.
Is he gonna get that chance? We'll see they play
the Packers this week. And finally, oh Jets. Yes. A
(19:59):
lot of people ask gim me j Macker, are you
excited the Jets gotta win? I'm no, I've told you guys,
add nauseum when you're out of the playoff picture. All
I want be competitive, show fight, young guys do well.
I don't want to win those games. So the Jets
win at the Horn against Atlanta, and they are now
(20:19):
officially out of the mix for the number one pick
in the draft. They have fallen to sixth as of now,
currently behind Tennessee is the one win, followed by New Orleans,
the New York Giants, the Raiders, and the Browns. So
I mean, I don't want to say kiss Mendez a goodbye,
and I don't want to hear anybody say trade up,
trade up. No, I'm not giving up multiple picks to
(20:41):
move up for Mendoza a sure thing and Andrew Lucke,
Peyton Manning. Yeah, I don't think Mendoza's trade up worthy
for so Tennessee is one. Doesn't need a quarterback. New
Orleans is two does probably, I mean Schuck they like him,
but is he that good? I don't know if he's
(21:02):
a franchise guy. He did well on Sunday. Giants they
love Jackson Dart. I don't think they're moving off Raiders
desperate for a quarterback. I don't even know if Pete
Carroll survives the season, and then the Browns also desperate
for a quarterback, so Jets aren't going to get Mendoza.
I'm officially it's what December one. I'm saying, ty Simpson's
second round. Lock it up, all right, we'll quickly wrap
up with college football. Huge news on Sunday. Pat Fitzgerald
(21:25):
is going to Michigan State. I mean that is significant news.
He was with the Northwestern Wildcats, great coach, some great seasons,
then he got embroiled in some weird hazing scandal and
then they fired him. But it seems like they pushed
him out too quickly, and I don't know that exonerated
is the right word, but essentially his name was largely cleared,
(21:51):
and so he's going to Michigan State. That's a tremendous
hire right now. If you are Michigan, if you're a
high state, you're like, damn, they got a good coach.
I think miss could say they just grabbed him as
quick as they could. Now. The real college football news,
which had most of America and definitely the Deep South
captivated all frickin' weak was Lane Kiffen. I personally thought
(22:13):
Lane Kiffin would win the Egg Bowl against Mississippi State
and then stay at Ole Miss and coach him through
the playoff and stay there. He decided, now I'm going
to LSU, but I also want to coach the rest
of the way, and if you don't let me, I'm
taking all my coaches. He really did that. It was
a power move. Not gonna lie. Attempted power move, I
(22:36):
should say, because it failed miserably. Essentially, he tried to
get the players to give the okay, yeah, we want
Lane to coach es. Well, that would be suicidal and
idiotic for Old Miss. You need a coach in place
to start the recruiting, and you need a coach in
place to retain your stars. So it looks like they're promoting.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
Pete go Golden Golding.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
I don't know how to say his name who I
was reading some articles about this guy, Pete gold Ding,
sorry Golding. He is kind of like a football I
don't know. I want to say savant, but bottom line
is he was like an awesome youth apple. I read
all these profiles of amazing youth athlete, but was tiny,
(23:25):
went to a small college. Cooked When he was at
the small college, an amazing coach came in who had
him at safety, like calling the defense and the defense
is amazing. Next thing you know, he gets coaching job.
After coaching job, he's like, I don't know twenty six
and Nick Saban calls UTSA and says, hey to he
(23:48):
was friendly with the head coach. Hey, this peak Golden guy.
Can I do you mind if I talked to him? Like?
Nick Saber calls And as soon as that call comes,
you know he's leaving. So five hours after an interview
takes five hours. Nick Saban and this peak Golden guy
and he gets hired on the spot. And then he's
the defensive coordinator at Alabama in short order. And then
(24:10):
he goes to Old Miss with Kiffin and he's going
to be their new head coach. Now, apparently he's an
amazing recruit recruiter. He's like young, relates to the kids.
He it, has a sharp mind, really good defensively, he's
a large obviously, Lane Kiffin's offense was what made Old
(24:32):
Miss great. His defense is what took them to playoff caliber. Now,
for a moment, I was kind of rooting for Old
Miss to get shut out of the playoff because they
lost their coach. If you remember to FSU they lost
their quarterback, denied from the four team playoff. Now, of
course there are some differences. Jordan Travis goes down. They
(24:52):
played a game without him and looked like ass and
so the committee was like, yeah, no, sorry, you're out.
We won't get to see Old Miss in a game
without Lane. So it's very unlikely that they'll boot them
for say Miami, but Ole Miss will be in. And
it's a fun story. Like Lane Kiffin. You know he's
(25:12):
going to LSU. You get what you pay for. This
guy has some ugly exits wherever he's gone. He's a firestarter,
but he's you know, football lifer, born on third base
if you will. In the football community, obviously everybody knows
his dad, Monte Kiffin, and so he's going to go
to LSU. It's interesting Penn State doesn't have a coach.
And I see guys tweeting at me aj Mack, you
(25:34):
said Penn State was a better better gig, I said, no,
I didn't say that. I said you can win quicker
at Penn State than you can LSU. And I don't
know know who the Penn State coach is going to
be next year. I don't think it's going to be
the interim guy. It doesn't Clerk Lee's staying at Vanderbilt.
They missed an opportunity there. And there was one other name.
(25:55):
Oh I heard Brian Daboles name mentioned weirdly. I don't
think he's going to get it. But wherever they go, right,
that coach will have an opportunity to win ten games
this year because you're Penn State, because you have a
lot of talent, okay, and the schedule is not as
tough as you go to LSU. Look at the schedule
next year, by the way, Penn State does visit oh
(26:15):
Miss and what's going to be a crazy ticket. It's
going to be a high profile TV game. Just it's
gonna be wild. I do believe that the Penn State
Nitney Lyons would be more likely to get to the
playoff than LSU in the next two years. And I'll
stand by that. Now, I don't I don't know if
you can actually wager on that, but I'm just telling
(26:36):
you the road to the playoffs through the SEC is rough. Now. Yes, five,
maybe six teams will get out of the SEC this year.
Maybe maybe we'll see Texas, I don't know, Oklahoma somehow
saying that's perplexing to me. But I got a digger
deeper this week. But yeah, wild weekend in college football.

(27:17):
Here's your best bet.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
Finally, let's go to Monday Night football, and I'd love
to say I have a bet on this game. Other
than the New York Giants getting seven and a half
in the contest, I don't really see any major edges.
We know that quarterbacks when they rush back from the
concussion historically don't perform well. CJ. Stroud was very good
(27:39):
against the Colts. I don't expect the Patriots to blow
them out. And I don't want to say the Patriots
are leaking oil a little bit. But if you just
look at their last few games, like they were riding
high and then all of a sudden, it's like struggle
with the Jets didn't cover the spread, really struggle. Cincinnati
(28:01):
got fortunate barely be dead landa a few weeks Before that,
the Tampa game was interesting. They played really well, a
couple of big splash plays. The Giants are getting healthier.
The Giants have a bye week after this. I listen.
I don't know how much you guys want to read
into this bye week stuff, but I was trying to
(28:21):
do some analysis on teams heading into the bye week.
So four teams are heading into the buy next week.
Patriots who play tonight, the New York Giants who played tonight,
the Niners. Very convincing victory even though money went against
them all week. And the Panthers very convincing victory even
(28:43):
though money went kind of sort of against them. It
was ten and a half. I think it closed it well.
I no, it might have been some little money on
the Panther's not not enough to be significant, but you
get that. Can the coaches get enough buy in? Hey man,
we need this game. Game. Let's go. I mean, listen,
and Kafka and the Giants listen. I kind of scoffed
(29:04):
at the whole James Winston stuff. I mean, there, let's see,
they didn't cover the spread against the Niners. They I
think they did against the Bears. I think they pushed
against the Packers, and they definitely covered against the Lions.
They've been friskier than I expected, and that's without Molik Neighbors,
without Cam Scattaboy. They're manufacturing stuff, so I think they
(29:25):
keep this close. I don't expect them to win. If
I come up with any props or anything extra that's fun,
I'll hit you with that. But yeah, listen exciting Monday podcast,
Busy Week. Listen to college football playoff. That's gonna be
huge with Championship Week in college football. And I'm just
telling you next week in the NFL, just banger after banger,
(29:48):
get the Honeydews done during the weekfellas, talk to you tomorrow.
