the NBA playoffs, probably the most basketball I watched.

I mean, granted, I didn't have a whole lot to do,
so I lay there and watched basketball.

I mean, spot, I was Sam Bursch. Chime in when
you want. But do you feel as though the NBA
just proved that the regular season is so half asked
that the playoffs start and everyone's locked in? I mean,
I was Cavi. You know what, There is a sense
that maybe it's just us, But I don't think that's
the case. I really do think with the load management,

with you know, so many teams, twenty teams making the postseason,
and if you count the playing games with that said,
how could you really deem a random February Tuesday night
game or something.

Meant, every play counts, every game counts. They're playing harder,
playing tougher, more exciting, a lot of close games.

You're watching the level play. You're watching the level of
play now that you're like, oh, if it was like
this all year round, maybe I'd be more locked in

In the regards to Rich was alluding to before, like
how come it's not that exciting throughout the season. How
come they're not playing that hard all the time. Doesn't

But again it matters more. Well, you talk about Kawhi
and you say, well, how good could this Clippers team
be if these guys are healthy and playing at full capacity?
Because we haven't really seen it the goal to the
NBA organizations now, doesn't it feel like it's like, yeah,
I make the postseason. No one cares about one seed,
two seed, eight seeds. It seems like more than any
other sport, it's like, yeah, I make the postseason, then

seeing guys step up and you're like, oh wait, maybe
this team has a better chance than I thought, because
all year long they've been giving me like a half

There's two big highlights Blink Qantity two. That was awesome

I ma iss you no blink. Being back together for
the first time in like a decade was awesome. The
other thing I was gonna bring up about Coachella, people
have done this with sporting events, and I think it's
disgraceful and embarrassing. There's an article in the New York
Post today about how influencers get this. They're driving out
to the desert, dressing up and taking selfies and not

actually going to Coachella, but they're like going to Coachella
and they didn't want to pay the money. They don't
want to go. Just put on a you know, hot
little outfit, put a bandana on and be like Coachella
kissy fays and they don't even got it's you know,
there was a story I'm never gonna remember. Was it
bow Wow? Yes? I think there was a story years

ago about the plane, right, yeah, oh it was a plane.
But there was another one where someone's like, you know,
you know they rent out private jets for girls to
pose by. How embarrassing is that?

And there's there's sets, there's sets of private jets that
influencers can use to make it look like they're on
a private jet, but it's actually a set.

Isn't that ridiculous?

and over again this weekend as people posted, you know,
from from Coachella on social media. That was a big

part of the weekend. But I was gonna say social
media life, but yeah, that was kind of cool.

There was a story never remember this. Maybe it's a
little trivia for you guys if someone remembers. There was
a celebrity that was like court side at the Lakers
and they posted a picture and they got called out
because it was like whoa whah, wait a minute, the
Lakers are wearing white tonight in this picture they got
purple on. Like the person got caught red handed, like

what yoh, my bad? Like, oh, I think it was.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
By the way, that's something that people do a lot.
They run down they got weak tickets in the upper
tier to the basketball game or the baseball game. Happens
in sports a lot, and then they go down just
to get that picture up like they were their court
side and they weren't.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Oh yeah, fifty yard line. Meanwhy meanwhile you're in the
end zone upper deck. I think it's lame.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
I know you do it for the gram and that's
the life you live, but I don't know. So just
know that the hot fake it tea, you make a thing,
you're trying too hard at that point.

Hot girls are faking Coachella. They're faking the way through life.
I mean everything, fake pictures on a plane, fake Coachella.

A couple of years ago. Rich, sorry to cut you
off there. Oh god, I remember there's a video. You
can still find it. So you know, after we had
we had a pretty crazy summer of twenty twenty. We'd
all agree on that, right, lots of stuff going on,
lots of stuff going on. This woman and this is
I think in Santa Monica. She there's a video of
someone recording her from like the street and she goes
up to like a boarded up window. She picks up
a like a power drill and a hammer and then

just poses for a picture and gets right back into
Mercedes and leaves like.

She she made it seem like that's right. Did you
see that video? I remember it.

She was trying to help with the cleanup and it was.

After the Black Lives Matters protests, right where people are
cleaning up, and she did a photo op with like
a power drill and a hammer.

I was like, I was like, ye come here, I'm helping,
and then she just got into a Mercedes and drove on.

It happens at games. People will be like, here, I
am court side. It's like, you're not court side. You're
not you walk down. You gave a security guard ten
bucks to be like, I'm gonna go take a picture
down there. You're not sitting a row behind Lebron James.
You're not.

That's all Coachella in a nutshell. It's not for the music.
It's for the look at me moment. It's for the Instagram.
And that's the whole shame of it. When there were
some interesting moments, I saw, you know, things that made
me say hmm. I saw a bad Bunny and post
Malone had an awkward moment. They had some technical difficulties.
Bad Bunny sort of dismissed post Malone on stage. I

was really awkward and weird. I saw that Frank Ocean
had technical difficulties. But again, it was less about the music,
more about everyone's funky and funny outfit.

So what were the things that got your attention this weekend?
You brought up the NBA playoffs, which we really were
my focus as well. I feel like even the games
that I didn't watch the whole game, if you turn
it on the third quarter and it's a tie game,
you sort of feel like you watched safully.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
That that's the most excitement for sure, Like that they're
all you really need.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
I was. I had a couple of work events. I
had to go to the dentist, I had, I had
a couple of things going on. But I'll tell you what.
Danny g and some of our Fox Sports friends were
great with, like, hey, third quarter, tied game and I'm like.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
Oh perfect, I just got home, third quarter, one point
game to do.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
But I brought up kaw and what a difference maker
Kawhy is. You're a dude, one of your favorite guys.
I know Covino gravitates towards certain players that aren't on
his teams, and I know there's a guy in the
NBA that you love. And I love Jimmy Butler because
he loves holing Oaks.

I know, but Jimmy Butler is the type of guy
Cavino where the heat entered the playoffs, as you know,
a lower seed who knows what they could do. Come on,
he's a likable player. But when Jimmy Butler is on,
he could carry a team through an early area. He's

without Giannest, with Giannest being hurt, I'm not shocked to

So yeah, but Jimmy Butler fun to watch, I think again,

the A's has got a week five for sure. But
then again, three ghosts in a row with the k's
that's KK. Yeah, that's that. You can't stop at three,
you gotta go two or four or more. The story
that came out of Vocal Know that I thought was
wild was that there's a possum on the loose. Do

that mildly sexist or racist? Or was that politically incorrect

else is saying. I saw that Lebron James talking about
Austin Reaves. And by the way, Austin Reeves there was
a moment in the fourth quarter where I don't even
know if he was aware of how dominant he was.

and family, he said there rooting him on, so that
pumped him up even more to score twenty three points.

root for any unassumed And it's Lebron James talking about
Austin Reeves and I just want you to pay attention

I know from the first practice that we have when
we grabbed him that it wasn't gonna be long. He
wasn't gonna be a two way player for long. I'm
then a couple of weeks went by, I knew he

long enough to know great basketball IQ players, and I
know the type of players that fit with my game,

it's evident when you watch him that he has it,
and his passing ability is insane by the way that
that Lebron needs guys he could trust, like that the

comes down on Lebron because truthfully, I don't hate Lebron.

I I'm like, I'm rooting. I'm rooting for him more
than hating him. So I look at it this way.
The minute I heard, I was like, oh, people are
gonna say, oh me Bron, Lebron all about him. He
fits my game. But you know what, you gotta fill
Lebron's game. He's the star player. So when you see
a complimentary young guy that he's like, this guy could
fit into the system, I'm Lebron James. What is Lebron

supposed to fit Reeves game? So I get Lebron's back there,
believe it or not.

I'm like, yeah, but you hear things like that, and
you know it's gonna get dissect But.

When you hear the full quote, because the quote you're
seeing on social media leaves out a couple of the
nice things he says about Reeves conveniently, So what was
the isolated quote? The isolated quote was I know the
type of player that fits my game. I knew Austin
would be that it's like they left out all the compliments,
right right, Yes, and yeah he had a context.

It does make it sound like, oh another, oh, another
quote that makes it all about him.

And then part two of that is, I'm not saying
Lebron's saying like A told you so, I knew this guy.
But I wonder if greatness and I'll say Lebron greatness,
and I'm gonna tie it into the forty nine ers
because that's my team. But do you remember, because it's
actually a really legit analogy, do you remember when Brock
Purdy surprised everyone and played out of his mind? And

what did Fred Warner and all the leaders on the
forty nine ers defense say, Oh, we knew because we
practice against this guy every day and he's he's checking us.

They weren't surprised, as Lebron stated too, Yeah, he wasn't
surprised at all by this, So he's happy for me.

Oh. Lebron did continue to say that he hopes he

all behavior because who has more insight than him? When

We practice against this guy every day and we know
he's a gamer. I think Lebron James is saying the
same thing. So if you're gonna hate Lebron saying that,
you should have hated Fred Warner saying that about Brock
Purdy or any other young player that gets the endorsement
of his team, because truthfully, some of these guys, when

you see him practice, a lot of the star players
get the vibe of like, this guy's got something, and
you know what, it's pretty cool to see Austin Reeves, who,
let's be honest, his first playoff game. It's all about opportunity.
And I was saying, burst Dan Bayer, if you guys
have any other examples of guys that could have very
easily wasted away but got an opportunity. I mean, people

can say Tom Brady, right, if Drew Bledsoe never got hurt,
would we have ever really seen a starter Tom Brady?

If again, the Austin Reefs story is that he was undrafted. Yeah,
he could have fizzled in the G League.

You know, this is just typical, but this is typical
cheesy Lebron I kind of know. I mean, I just
laughed because, like I said, he thought Russell Westbrook was

I got to ask you, where's the line, because you, yeah,
you don't want to be talking about someone's family or
their kids or this that. But are we not allowed

to trash talk anymore? In general? Like it seems like
Russell Westbrook thinks that no one's even allowed to trash talk.
But then again, I think it's sort of low class
to like getting another grow man's face. But yeah, your

what we thought was the normal way to be the generations.
Why were we always so accepting of putting the players down?

just proved that the regular season is so half asked
that the playoffs start and everyone's locked in? I mean,
I was Cavi. You know what, There is a sense

and if you count the playing games with that said,
how could you really deem a random February Tuesday night
game or something.

be if these guys are healthy and playing at full capacity?
Because we haven't really seen it the goal to the

to the desert, dressing up and taking selfies and not

actually going to Coachella, but they're like going to Coachella
and they didn't want to pay the money. They don't
want to go. Just put on a you know, hot

But there was another one where someone's like, you know,

because it was like whoa whah, wait a minute, the

By the way, that's something that people do a lot.
They run down they got weak tickets in the upper
tier to the basketball game or the baseball game. Happens
in sports a lot, and then they go down just

Oh yeah, fifty yard line. Meanwhy meanwhile you're in the
end zone upper deck. I think it's lame.

I know you do it for the gram and that's
the life you live, but I don't know. So just
know that the hot fake it tea, you make a thing,
you're trying too hard at that point.

Hot girls are faking Coachella. They're faking the way through life.
I mean everything, fake pictures on a plane, fake Coachella.

A couple of years ago. Rich, sorry to cut you

we had a pretty crazy summer of twenty twenty. We'd
all agree on that, right, lots of stuff going on,

I think in Santa Monica. She there's a video of
someone recording her from like the street and she goes
up to like a boarded up window. She picks up
a like a power drill and a hammer and then

It happens at games. People will be like, here, I

down there. You're not sitting a row behind Lebron James.

That's all Coachella in a nutshell. It's not for the music.
It's for the look at me moment. It's for the Instagram.
And that's the whole shame of it. When there were
some interesting moments, I saw, you know, things that made
me say hmm. I saw a bad Bunny and post
Malone had an awkward moment. They had some technical difficulties.
Bad Bunny sort of dismissed post Malone on stage. I

was really awkward and weird. I saw that Frank Ocean
had technical difficulties. But again, it was less about the music,
more about everyone's funky and funny outfit.

So what were the things that got your attention this weekend?
You brought up the NBA playoffs, which we really were
my focus as well. I feel like even the games
that I didn't watch the whole game, if you turn
it on the third quarter and it's a tie game,
you sort of feel like you watched safully.

That that's the most excitement for sure, Like that they're
all you really need.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
I was. I had a couple of work events. I
had to go to the dentist, I had, I had
a couple of things going on. But I'll tell you what.

great with, like, hey, third quarter, tied game and I'm like.

Oh perfect, I just got home, third quarter, one point
game to do.

But I brought up kaw and what a difference maker

I know Covino gravitates towards certain players that aren't on
his teams, and I know there's a guy in the
NBA that you love. And I love Jimmy Butler because

I know, but Jimmy Butler is the type of guy
Cavino where the heat entered the playoffs, as you know,
a lower seed who knows what they could do. Come on,

fits my game. But you know what, you gotta fill

a complimentary young guy that he's like, this guy could
fit into the system, I'm Lebron James. What is Lebron

You have to have a sense of a line, right,

We saw a little taste of if you don't know
what we're talking about it, I went viral last night
on Russell Westbrook's Way Back to the Locker room. At halftime,
he gets in the face of a fan fan kids up,
it looks like they might go at blows and security got.

In the middle get torn in half. Yeah. The guy,
I mean yeah, he was like he was like a
chubby like old white guy. He was Russell Westbrook would
have a nice well years New York guys.
Speaker 7 (46:44):
I mean, you know outside of maybe Philadelphia, you know,
like talk about toughest fans, but you guys would know,
like I was a fan of that.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
Some really crappy behavior. You go to a Yankees game, man,
and I've I've gone to Yankee games as a Mets fan,
and some of these guys like they don't buy about
the world. Kevin don't have a rule. You could hit
us up on Twitter, Instagram, anything. At Coveno Rich you
could say you hate us, were the worst guys in
the world. But you know, like you talk about someone's
like wife or girlfriend or kids or something.

Like that's like, I remember, I witnessed the lowest guy.
