Speaker 1 (00:01):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Let's go, stinking Let's go, big boy, Let's.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Go, Let's go. Are you radioed out? You were pretty
busy this week?

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Yeah, you know, I didn't have a lot going on,
so I just scheduled myself for what Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,
you know, I hang out with a Harman.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
Did you uh, why didn't you promote it last week?
It was a last minute thing. Oh yeah, yeah, I
got ya.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I had no idea, got a last minute thing.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Last minute thing that you gave yourself, right, you gave
yourself a last minute filling.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
It exactly exactly. So I had to miss my basketball
game on Thursday for you know, but got to give
up something today. We lost today, by the way, so
I'm a little upset.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
We have a national radio show. Yeah, millions of people
listen all across gazillions gazillions, And.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
You want to start with your rec league basketball game.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
You'd be surprised how many people watch my rick League
basketball game on Twitter.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
I want you to know that I think we could
actually pull up the Brandon if you want to see
if we would be.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
I'm not listen. We're definitely in a slow time.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Are you ragging on my recorig basketball game. Yes, you
should have watched the other The other team had a
six eight professional on their team.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Yeah, you said you were gonna shut them down. I
would have you, don't.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
I want you to know something. If I was six eight,
i'd be playing in the NBA.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
I want to know you. Yeah, I wouldn't think you would.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
I would, But I mean the way I shoot, if
I was six eight, i'd dominate. I just didn't get
the right size of the gene pool. I wish I
was six eight so I could just dunk on everybody
more people. Gosh, man, make me six eight. Why didn't
I become six eight so I can play NBA?

Speaker 5 (01:42):
We are instead of if I could be like Mike,
if we could be like Arnie, right to be six eight?

Speaker 3 (01:47):
We are coming to you live from the tire rack

We're engine closer to the national.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
One more week? Right, one more week?

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Or what?

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Yeah? Camp start up will be uh.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Teams will be reporting by next week, we'll have uh, well,
I don't even know. We'll have to wait till next week.
About guys like Saquan and Josh Jacobs. I mean, I
think we're pretty much secure in the fact that neither
one of those guys are going to show up to
camp on time, are they?

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
I was a little surprised about Saquan. I thought that
was gonna be a done deal. But the way I'm
looking at it's guaranteed money. Still think they'll probably get
it undone. I think Jacobs could get traded. You know,
when I was filling in one thing that caught me
by surprise. We were talking about the you know, like
the three worst teams in the NFL. Your Raiders are
right up there. They're one of the three worst teams.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
At the end.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
They could get that number one pick. When it's all
said and done, they get Williams. They really could get it.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
I I say this in all sincerity. Yeah, I hope
you're right.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Are you pulling for them to lose like right off
the bat or what?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Here's what I Here's the real is that I've come
to as a Raiders fan and I'm sure this will change.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
I'm sure this will change.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
I'll be the first one to admit that I can
win eighty, but I am so hell meent on them
needing to get a difference maker at the quarterback position,
right because Patrick Mahomes isn't going anywhere. No, Justin Herbert's
not going anywhere. And I don't care. You can think
what you want about Denver, don't care. You gotta worry
about those two teams right well, whatever, you're not going anywhere.

(03:26):
You're not going anywhere in that division, So get yourself
a dude. They obviously didn't like any of the guys
in this year's draft. There is one difference maker and
potentially two, maybe a third on the horizon. I don't
know if we've had a prospect like Caleb Williams in
a while, which I'm sure will lead to you turning
on him at some point that he sucks.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
But yeah, as it stands right.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Now, on this I don't even know what what is
today's date, the seventeen sixty sixteenth. Still we'll turn to
the seventeenth in an hour. But on the sixteenth day
of July twenty three, I'm all in on tank for Caleb.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
I don't think you could do it.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
I don't think you have it into in you to
root against your team. I don't think you can do it.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
But I don't think you really truly understand how down
I am right now.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
I don't listening to listening to Chris for so long
I think I have faith, I not just believe faith.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
Listen.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
I sat here last year as a firm believer that
this could be a.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Playoff team, playoff playoffs.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Right, and it wasn't even close. I mean, it just was.
And Raider fans can try to blame Derek Carr.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Going to get fired for that, I think, But what's
that you were going to get fired for that?

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Arney? You picked the Dolphins to go to the super
Bowl every single turn. It on me, don't I'm just
when you're telling me that I should get fired for
my bad picks.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
I didn't say, is keeping tracking the.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Buffs like we got a fire plague. I'm like, no, no,
you can't do that. It's just so what he's had
a few hundred bad picks.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
Please, I encounter that you.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
I've never had the conversation with the bosses about anything
to do with my pigs, because I can tell you what,
they'd be much more concerned with the man that flexes
and has his own pick segment and it's still terrible
at him.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Wo, that's not true.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
I'm I'm out if they lose this year, I'm okay
with it. I'm absolutely okay. The Raider fans want to
hit up in the minches, Oh well, their car isn't
there anymore.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
That's right, and you'll see what it's like.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Whenever you don't have a consistent quarterback that plays for
you every single game, you're gonna live that misery that
we lived from Aaron Brooks to Andrew Walters to Bruce
Grakowski offense Bruce to.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
Bobby Joe Hobert or whatever the hell his name was.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
When you have a consistent, good quarterback, I think just
punning on him and getting again absolutely nothing in return, Arnie,
is a.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Pretty good indication that you're punting on the season.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
So trade away Josh Jacobs whenever we get a couple
of games in trade away DeVante Adams. Let's build around
Caleb Williams in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
By the way, I think, Josh Jake we'll get traded
before the season starts. And by the way, the guy
that sits in the end zone with the makeup and
the spikes on, he'd be clubbing you right now if
he saw you.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
No, I think they would all get it. I think
they would all get it. I think they've lived it.
I don't even know if that guy can afford to
go to games anymore, no offense against his income. But
did you see that the most expensive well in the NFL,
the most expensive team to support is the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
But I saw the Alliance season or one of the
boxes for thirty thousand. That seemed very reasonable to me
to be I mean, you could see like about twenty
six people. That's very reasonable for a box.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
I'm guessing thirty thousand dollars is very reasonable for a
luxury box. I do want to live in the tax
bracket that you're in. Wow, I do want my wife
to have a job like your wife has.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
Like that's what I want.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
But you could what is that like if it was
thirty people to be like one thousand dollars a person,
that's you know, if your pony up the money, that's
very reasonable, you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (06:57):
Did it say it could seat thirty people?

Speaker 2 (06:59):
And it set up to eighteen to twenty six. I'm
just adding people.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Quite a roundup on your party, like eighteen thirty thousand dollars.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Yeah, okay, so maybe five thousand of person who's counting.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
Well here, here's just.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Since we're on NFL camp starting in a couple of
well next week, there is there is a handful of
holdout watches that are currently on. Right, a few of
them have been resolved. Right, we got the whole concern
around Quinn Williams. He got paid this week. Evan Ingram,
the tied end from the Jacksonville Jaguars, got paid whenever

(07:33):
there was concern that he might be a guy that
could hold out. Now, I guess, Arnie, we're really looking
at what Barkley.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
I mean, could Stefan Diggs be in this conversation?

Speaker 3 (07:46):
I mean he he signed a four year extension that
doesn't even go in effect until twenty twenty four, Right,
He's there can't be anything contract wise that he's been about.
But his name's just been so much in the headline,
so I don't know. Obviously we mentioned Josh Jacobs. Chris
Jones might be an interesting name to keep an eye on. Right,
the twenty nine year old defensive tackle who just saw

(08:08):
what Quinn Williams made. But I don't I mean outside
of the running backs, and if you buy the drama
right now Stefon Diggs, which I'm not, and maybe maybe
Chris Jones, we don't really have some massive holdout, holdout,
standoff situation going on involving like a like a quarterback
or and to me, Saquon Barkley and obviously Josh Jacobs,

(08:29):
the defending rushing champions, a star. But I don't really
know if we have anything outside of those two dudes
that were really keeping.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Our eye on well talk about falling from grace and
talk about not even keeping the eye on him too.
Some people thought he was a guy that was going
to take a team to a super Bowl, Ezekiel Elliott,
You know what I mean? What is he just going
to go back to the to the Cowboys for a
lot less money?

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Is that what it's going to come down to? I'm wondering,
you know, yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
And it's it's wild because I was actually reading an
article today that theorized that your Dolphins could be a
team that's in on Ezekiel Elliott.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
If that means they don't get Dalvin Cook. That could
be a possibility. I mean they you know, it depends
on what they want to pone me up. I don't
know what he's asking, but I would think he'd want
to go back to the Cowboys. Cowboys could use a
little backup. I don't know if power is ready to
take over the every day You know, he's still hurt too.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
Yeah, so that's a bit of an issue. I would
add this.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
I think you you could field a pretty good team,
at least in my eyes, of the available free agents
that are out there.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Right now now.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Not bad, yeah, obviously you you take one off the
list in DeAndre Hopkins. But if you look at the
list of some of the available free agents in the
National Football League right now, you mentioned Dalvin Cook, Jadavian
Clowney still out there.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
He doesn't have a team. Uh did you see that
hit he had in college? Oh? Wait a minute that
I go ahead. Do you realize how we're going now?

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Well, that he's been making a living off that, you
know what?

Speaker 3 (09:53):
My goodness, I field think the best part of that
is that he palmed the football after he knocked it
out of his hands. But I mean, Arnie, you running
back right, And I know that you're all hot and
heavy for Dalvin Cook in Miami potentially, but Ezekiel Elliott,
Kareem Hunt, I mean, hell, Leonard Fournett doesn't currently have
a team as far as I know, unless he just

(10:14):
re signed a couple of days ago with Tampa. So
there are some there are some major names that are
still out there. And again, what are we looking at
the position that we're talking about? The most here of
the ten listed by NFL Trade Rumors dot Co, which
means it's got to be legit. The top ten players
listed there, five of them are running backs that are

(10:34):
currently available for you.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
So we've just completely devalued the running back position. Or
maybe these guys are asking a little bit too much
money possible, or maybe the teams are like, well, you
know what, that's okay, We've got plenty of guys coming
in the camp we could do without. Or maybe it's
a combination of all of it. I'm really not sure
why it's going like this.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Yeah, and there is that certain part of it right
to where maybe you don't want to have to worry
about going to any camp or and by this point
it's no longer mini camp it's just camp.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
You don't want to worry about going to camp.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
You you know that you've got the potential to have
a job, and he'll just wait until camp, until it's
like midway through it and halfway over you're like.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
Oh, I don't want to sign there.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
But I don't know, man, I'm I'm kind of blown
away by the running back market still being as thick
as it truly is.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
And I guess we're just really.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Watching two big running backs whenever it comes to hold
out unless Chris Jones enters that conversation.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
And I know every year we see like cuts that
were like, oh my goodness, I can't believe that. Why
do I get a feeling we're just gonna be shocked
and some of the big money cuts that are gonna
happen this year, you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (11:38):
Well, yes, I think you're right.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
But were you shocked speaking of big money to see
what DeAndre Hopkins got from the team.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Yeah, I was very extremely shocked on that. You know
where I stand on him. I'm like, this guy's passed
his prime. No big deal. I'm not going after him,
you know, for double digit millions. And next thing, you know,
what is a third six million two years plus he
can even get an extra three million per year. I'll
get out of here, no, thank you. I'm going to

(12:07):
pass on that. Well, he's been battling the.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
NFL, if you will, he's been suspended, had he had
some injury situations. But if you combine his production over
the last two seasons, Arnie, it doesn't equal his first
year in Arizona, which was twenty twenty. I mean he's
only in wide receiver years. You say three years, dog years, right,

(12:31):
He's like, okay, so that's like twenty years, but three years.
I mean in twenty twenty it was the most receptions
he had in his career, right, third most receiving yards
that he had in his career. So he's not too
terribly far removed from being I guess a difference maker.
But I'm with you on this one.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
I think that's a high price to pay for somebody
that's not in the top of his game.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
Right now.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
You could reach fifteen mil with incentives, So I guess
the question has to be asked. And we got Howard
benderke On with this next so we'll ask him. But
I'll post it to you, Arnie, and throughout the night
on Twitter. I know how our buddy at Shady Sean
for twenty feels he's our diehard Titan fan representing. But
does the signing of Hopkins change any way that you

(13:15):
view Tennessee right now?

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Does it change your opinion or perspective on them?

Speaker 6 (13:18):
No?

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Zero, zero, none, whatsoever. I'll I'll forget he signed with
them two days from now, so I'll say, hey, did
the Andre Hopkins side with anybody? He was like, don't
you remember we talked about it last Sunday. I'm like,
oh yeah, yeah, Tylvie b boy, there you go. No,
It's like it's not going to make a difference whatsoever.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Zero.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
All right, Well, I mentioned Howard Bender he's gonna join
us next. We'll get his perspective on it and kind

Plank coming to you live from the tyrack dot com
studio pump to welcome in our next guest. I really
feel like we cannot be constrained by any bounds topic wise.
Howard Bender joined at Rodo buzz Guy on Twitter. All Right,
we were just talking about it. DeAndre Hopkins, a Tennessee Titan,
Howard from every angle, from a fantasy, from a gambling,

(15:11):
from a favorite, from an over under win total perspective.
Does this change any way in which you view Tennessee
in twenty three?

Speaker 8 (15:19):
No topic of off limits? DeAndre Hopkins. I don't even
know who that guy is. Play Tennessee community is all
a flutter, gentlemen, it's all a flutter. Well, first off,
thank you so much for having me on again. Always
a pleasure to get to join you guys. Although I
missed you the last time, aren't he But that's okay.
We're good. We're good. So yeah, you know, DeAndre Hopkins

(15:43):
going to the Tennessee Titans. It was really funny. I
was actually interviewing Tory Holt like about two months ago,
and Holt said something about the first time Hopkins went
to Tennessee to go visit, and he was like, I
don't know, man, maybe he just needs to get some
extra miles or something on his card. Nobody was taking
Tennessee seriously, and yet they still kind of lingered there.

(16:04):
They still hold on. So you know, listen, Hopkins going
over there, he's obviously their number one receiver. It's still
a run first offense. It's still a bulk of Derrick Henry.
You know, I know, Tim Kelly comes in, and you
know he spent all that time with Bill O'Brien and Houston.
But you know the fact is is that, I mean,

(16:25):
they're still gonna be bullish on utilizing Henry and and
you know, listen, Hopkins sits in nicely. I'll draft him
as a wide receiver one. I'll draft him somewhere in
the in the mid to late second round probably is
where I'm looking at him, because you know, it's still
gonna be a you know, a limited passing game. It's

(16:46):
still Ryan Tannehill. The offensive line is really really bad,
so you know how much time is really Tanna is
Hill going to have to set up in the pocket,
So they're gonna have to shorten the routes out a
little bit. You know, he adds a nice vertic aspect
to the game because now you've got size with him
and Traylon Burke's on the outside, so that might help

(17:07):
and it kind of helps, you know, move things along.
So in on Hopkins, still in on Traylon Burks just
because he's the number two instead of the number one.
Right now, he's going to get the lesser corner coverage.
People are going to focus in on DeAndre Hopkins, So
you know, maybe Burke's doesn't get as many targets as
you would like him too, He's still going to be

(17:28):
a very, very active component in this passing attack. So
if this hurts anybody, it's probably Chigakonquo, my super sleeper
tight end, so crazy bullish on But now that just
got flushed down the toilet because he goes to you know,
maybe the third slash fourth pat receiving target instead of
being the number two.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
All right, let's talk about some morning backs here. Word's
Dalvin Cook could end up will be Miami? What about
Ezekiel Elliott? And my third one is Josh Jacobs. Will
he end up staying with Las Vegas to be traded
before the season starts?

Speaker 8 (18:02):
Well, yeah, I would love to see Jacobs get traded
before the season starts, but I don't think that's gonna happen.
I think they're gonna tell him because everybody knows that
these running backs, it doesn't pay to hold out at all.
We saw what happened with Leveon Bell. That was just
an absolute nightmare. So I think Jacob stays there. I
think he gets heavy volume. I think they say, well, listen,
we ran him into the ground last year because we

(18:24):
didn't pick up his option. He's on a one year
franchise tender or could be on a one year franchise tender,
so you know, let's just give him that heavy volume
as well. Dalvin Cook. Let's probably throw them in Miami.
They're just kind of they're pitting the Jets and the
Patriots against the Dolphins right now, so I think they're
just trying to get you know, a little bit more

(18:45):
money out of out of the Dolphins before Cook actually
signs with them. And Zeke, I mean, he's either going
back to Dallas because Jerry Jones is just you know,
it would be heartbroken to not have Zeke eating cereal.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
In his house.

Speaker 8 (18:59):
But I kind of feel like Kellen Moore could really
use them at the Chargers. I mean, they really need
a good between the tackle, short yardage guy, and Zeke
can really fill out that role, I think better because
he's also he's a better pass blocker in general, you know,
working on the field than Joshua Kelly, So I'd like

(19:19):
to see Zeke go to the Chargers. I would like
to see Dalvin cook land And well, I'd like to
see Dalvin cook Land with the Jets, but that's probably
not going to happen, so the bullish on him if
he lands at Miami, though Mike McDaniel does some great
things with running backs.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
Howard Bender is our guest, said rod a buzz guy
on Twitter. He's an awesome follow and I know your
fantasy drafts are coming up, so right there his pin tweet,
here's his fantasy draft guy desperately and definitely need it
for your league.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
You mentioned the Jets. Are you a believer? Are you
buying into them this year? Howard?

Speaker 8 (19:50):
Well, you know, the diehard Jets fan of me says absolutely,
We're going to Zuper Bowl. We're at all We're the best.
Put all your money on him. No, I you know
this is this team is going to go as far
as Aaron Rodgers is willing to carry them. I do
think we need a healthy Breeese Hall. I'm really kind
of concerned about his knee at the start of the season,
which is kind of why I want to see Dalvin

(20:11):
cook there. But I mean, listen, Nathaniel Hackett is the
biggest fraud of a coach slash coordinator. He's going to
go out there, He's gonna be like, oh yeah, run
my West Coast offense and then basically just defer everything
to Aaron Rodgers at the line. I mean, Rogers has
complete autonomy, and you know, listen, I think he'll I
think he'll lean on Lizard a little early because he

(20:33):
just needs to get comfortable with somebody, and that's just
the way you know, Rogers works. But I think eventually
he knows that if he if he genuinely wants to win,
and he wants to stick it to the haters, and
he wants to stick it to Green Bay to show
that he still had something in there that he knows
that he and Garrett Wilson need to be BFFs for
the entire season, so if they start working real close

(20:55):
together at training camp. I am a believer in this,
in this team, Howard.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
I want to see where you're against the grain on
this What team do you like that everybody hates or
a team that you hate and everybody likes coming into
this year.

Speaker 8 (21:10):
I hate everybody, Come on, you know, I still think
that Atlanta is going to be a really weird dark
horse in the in the NFC. I don't think anybody
sees them coming. They did so many great things to
their defense, and now you look at their secondary, you know,
like everybody's talking about, you know, the Dallas Cowboys with

(21:32):
Trevon Diggs and on one side and Stefan Gilmour on
the other. You know, Atlanta now has aj Tarrell and
Jeffrey Akuda. They did all sorts of stuff to fix
the middle of their their defense through free agency, and
then boom, what do they have. They've got, you know,
a suspect mediocre quarterback who they could just get away with.
They could have, you know, they could bench Ritter and

(21:54):
go with Taylor Heineke and actually do well because Arthur
Smith loves to run the football. He's got Bejean Robinson,
He's got Tyler Algier backing them up. So if Heinikey
or Ritter can just be confident and keep the defenses
honest with Drake London and Kyle Pitts and maybe even
Mac Collins to you know, stretch the field a little bit.

(22:16):
I think they could be a dark horse just because
man that that NFC South really stinks, and that's just
gonna go to open the door for them, you know,
to possibly do it. I mean imagine Atlanta getting a
lead and then just running the ball eighty times. It'd
be like that, uh, you know, Revenge of the Titans
when when Denzel's like, I got I run four plays,
They're all veers like that's.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
It, Hey, our final one for me. Obviously we just
see the freak that is Patrick Mahomes. How do you
gauge like the receiver talent there, in other words, looking
at it from individual over unders right, looking at it
from a fantasy perspective, because they rebuilt the receiving corps

(22:57):
last year and he basically got everyone paid, Mikol hard
mad and Juju Smith Schuster. How do you view the
talent around him and is it just going to continually
be an evolving cast in Kansas City at that receiver position,
or do you maybe see the necessity to get a
guy that's going to be around like the Tyreek Hill
was for a couple of years, or like Kelsey has
become a tight end.

Speaker 8 (23:18):
I think they really needed. I thought Hopkins was going
a case. Hey, I thought right, I thought that that
romance between him and Chris Jones at the SPS. I
was like, I was all missed up. I was in heres.
I was like, this will be so beautiful. But I mean, yeah,
he's just he's got these interchangeable CAUs and Sky Moore, Cadarius,
Tony who's bonkers in the head now, Marquez Valdez, Scanling.

(23:41):
You know the guy who I'm really banking on, the
guy who I'm really watching, especially in Fantasy late rounds,
Rashi Rice. This kid out of SMU. He's got great speed,
he can stretch the field.

Speaker 4 (23:53):
You know.

Speaker 8 (23:54):
Well, I think one of the biggest problems that Patrick
Mahomes has had with you know, they talked about the
fact that he's you know, all the all fancy people
like his aid dot is you know, super low this
year and it's declined for the last three years. He
hasn't had anybody that's been like, you know, really, you
know that guy. Even Tyreek would take the deep passes,
but Mahomes was much more comfortable throwing to him on

(24:15):
a slant and just hitting him in stride and letting
him take the ball there. So I think the deeper
plays are going to come to Rashi Rice and I
think that he's really got the capability of being the
one receiver to really really pop in this offense. So
I'm kind of keeping my eye on him the rest
of them. I mean, I'm just kind of met on

(24:36):
all of them. But again, like you guys said, Mahomes turned,
you know, he got Juju paid, he got Hardman paid,
so he's still going to go out there and throw
for his five thousand yards and thirty five touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Ayar, this is a blast. Always enjoy any chance we
get to pick your brain. Thanks so much, and again
he's the guy you need on your side. At rotobuzz
Guy on Twitter. Right there you can find the Fantasy
football Draft. It will definitely have to do this again. Man,
thanks for your time.

Speaker 8 (25:02):
Well, thank you so much, guys. Always a pleasure to
join you.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
Howard Bender at roto buzz guy on Twitter. What a
what a debut performance in our Sunday night time slot.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
I love it. I love it.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
I don't know if I like Atlanta though, maybe I'm
not going with him on that one.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
Well you know who, I do like Steve de Seger,
who's got enough look right, yeah, yeah, he is a studio.

Speaker 6 (25:25):
Do not try this at home, mister bro I'm a pro. Oh, gentlemen,
did we have two incredible ballgames at Anaheim this weekend?
With Houston visiting. Last night, the Angels ended a six
game losing streak with a thirteen to twelve win in
ten innings. Tonight. Houston hit five home runs in the
last three innings and stole it nine to eight over

(25:47):
the Halos four runs top of the ninth, but then
show hey, o Tani bottom of the ninth did hit
a solo homer to get him close his thirty fourth
home run. He leads the majors in that department. He's
batting three oh one and the Angels lost yet again.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
Oh, it's shocking.

Speaker 6 (26:02):
Forty six and forty eight is the Halo's record now
and Houston is the team they're chasing right now for
the last wild card spot. Angels now six games back
of Houston for the last spot, and they would have
to climb over like the Yankees and the Red Sox
and Seattle'll climb over three other teams just to try
and get to Houston for that last spot. It's mid

(26:22):
July and the Halos have been horrible the last two
three weeks. Is Shoheo Tani going to be on the
trading block by the August first deadline, two more weeks
in the future, like the two weeks they've had in
the last couple Well that might be a yes, Philadelphia
on Philadelphia.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
Just say it is now, Just say, well, raky news,
he's traded.

Speaker 6 (26:42):
You agree and I agree, But it takes the front
office to agree to trade maybe the best player they've
ever had.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
Have some guts, some guys.

Speaker 6 (26:50):
We'll see what they get in return, if there's even
a deal. And then there's the Padres with a huge payroll,
who got swept in a double header at Philadelphia yesterday
and then lost again in twelve innings at Philadelphia today,
seven to six. The Padres record is forty four and fifty,
So yeah, there's a chance the Padres don't make the
playoffs either. They're even farther back from the postseason than

(27:12):
the Angels are in the American League Halo six games
out of the last spot in the AL, Padres are
eight games out of the last playoff spot in the NL,
and the Mets, with a huge payroll eight and a
half out of the last payroll of the last playoff spot.
That payroll, which was one of the storylines heading into
baseball's season in twenty twenty three, has just not come through.

(27:36):
It's not just injuries. Mets did win over the Dodgers
tonight two one, ten innings. Yes, they finished the game.
There was a rain delay at the start of nearly
four hours.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
You know what they say, I'm lucky in baseball, lucky in.

Speaker 4 (27:48):
Football, something like that.

Speaker 6 (27:49):
I don't think they say that.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
Yeah, I'm lucky in love, lucky and something else.

Speaker 6 (27:53):
So you're saying the New York Football Giants.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
So I'm saying that my Dolphins.

Speaker 4 (27:57):
It's their year. But that's beside the.

Speaker 6 (27:58):
Bad And what does that have to do with the Mets, because.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
It was right now we're in the middle of an update.
You're trying to make it about the golfins.

Speaker 6 (28:07):
The Giants. Actually, what everybody's talking about in Miami tonight.
This was the messy welcome press conference. This was like
when Lebron first joined the Heat. It's that type of
thing that went on. And he's joining a truly horrendous
Major League soccer team. By the way, San Francisco won
its fifth straight game, a ten inning win at Pittsburgh
eight to four, Colorado with two homers, bottom of the
eleventh beat the Yankees eight to seven. Wins for Seattle

(28:30):
and Toronto. Carlos Alcarez won the Wimbledon Final. It was
a classic in five sets over Novak Djokovic, the guy
who hadn't lost a match at Wimbledon since twenty seventeen.
He's won seven Wimbledon championships and had the early lead
with a six to one first set against Alkarize today
and the twenty year old Spaniard, ranked number one in

(28:51):
the world, comes back to take it six ' four
in the fifth. Rory McElroy won the Scottish Open by
one stroke. British Open starts Thursday in Liverpool. Well Steph
Curry won the Celebrity Golf tournament in Lake Tahoe. The
Tennessee Titans are expected to sign wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
The Jaguars gave Titan Evan Ingram a three year contract.
NASCAR's race was postponed to tomorrow due to bad weather

(29:13):
in New Hampshire and in La Tonight at the Rams Stadium,
Soccer's Gold Cup final on Fox TV, huge crowd seventy
three thousand. Mexico wins on a goal in the eighty
eighth minute won nothing over Panama, which had eliminated the
US in the Semis this past week on penalty kicks.

Speaker 4 (29:29):
Back Dan, Thanks Steve.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
I was surprised Arnie that in the rundown of topics today. Yeah,
you didn't have some sort of anger on like Roman
numeral four or five for Steph Curry's over celebration of
a hole in one. It was too much time golfing
or something. I'm surprised by you.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
It was bothering me.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
I do wonder he's so good in golf if that's
taken away from his basketball shots.

Speaker 4 (29:54):
No, it's not. I don't I'll answer that right now.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
If so, I honestly think everyone would be trying to
talk them into playing much more golf. Like Steph, Southern
Hills can get you on when you come to Oklahoma, right.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
Hey, come on through to Pinehurst? Did I did I
ever tell you the time?

Speaker 3 (30:13):
As we come to your liferom the tyrock dot Com
studio speaking of Stephan golf, which, by the way, his
swing is just unreal. Yeah, you want to you wanna
hate Travis Kelcey and Patrick Mahomes even more. They're like
naturally incredible at golf too. Oh dude, Kelsey's got his
hat turned around backwards and it's just dropping darts in
from like a foot out.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
It's terrible.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
But my mother in law we were watching the Warriors game.
She goes, oh, look there's Steph Curry. She goes, what's
he doing. I'm like, well, he's he's playing basketball. He
plays for the Warriors. And literally, aren't she go legit?
She said, huh, I had no idea he played basketball.
It's like, what, that's what he does?

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Well? Was he like a TV producer for the Mini
Golf game or something like that.

Speaker 3 (30:56):
That's all she had seen him in. That shows you
the kind of family dynamic that I have around me.
She had no idea that Steph Curry played basketball. She
had seen him on the Golf Show and she fell
in love with him. And I don't know if they
never referenced it he's a basketball player on the Golf
Show or what, but literally she was so excited. She's like, well, hey,

(31:18):
I can start watching basketball now. Oh gosh, unreal. Hey,
they're crushing you on Twitter right now, Randy, which, by
the way, Randy, I'm gonna tell you something a man.
I wish I had the same kind of just blind
Homerism that you have for the Titans. Bro I wish

(31:39):
I could share that with my raiders. But he writes, Arnie,
you and the rest of the national media are looking
at nothing but the Titans last seven games, not thinking
Ryan Tannehill didn't play the last five games, zero offensive line,
Jeffrey Simmons at fifty and a practice squad quarterback, and
but for a trap call, they win the division, Tennessee

(32:03):
will win the South.

Speaker 4 (32:03):
Oh, he wasn't done with you, Arnie. Oh, I know, yeah, yeah,
two parter. Now, Randy rites, you talk about d Hop.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
The entire Titans wide receiver group had two one hundred
yard games. D Hop had two alone. He's not going
to be our number one receivers. It's Burkes. Hold on
a second. You just basically said your receiving course sucks,
and now you're telling us that one of those guys
it sucks last year is gotta be your number one guy. Anyway,
back to the ten back to tweet. You can tell

(32:31):
these national guys don't do their research. Revamped offensive line,
Harold Landry back keep writing us off.

Speaker 4 (32:38):
Bad idea? Is that your burner account? Is that your
burner account?

Speaker 2 (32:43):
How dare I do something that to a mighty team
that was seven and ten last year in the worst
division maybe in the history of football. But that's okay,
And they did lose seven in a row, and you
know what, So what if Tannehill? So what am I
supposed to be going?

Speaker 4 (32:59):
Oh? Boy?

Speaker 2 (33:00):
Is that this is Tannehill? Even a top twenty quarterback
in the in the NFL. I could probably think of
twenty quarterbacks I'd want over him. So there is absolutely
that nothing. Nothing scares me about the Tennessee Titans except
they're running back and that's that's pretty much it. You know,
the culture will be better, the Texans will be a
little bit better. I expect the team that falters a

(33:22):
little bit this year will be the Titan.

Speaker 5 (33:23):
If I may ask a question, quest question, does Tannehill
even finish the season as a starter?

Speaker 4 (33:28):
Getting quarterbacks?

Speaker 3 (33:29):
Then there you got Levis that you used a third
round pick on this fast strap, you got Malik williss wum.

Speaker 4 (33:35):
Yeah he looked pretty terrible. Ye jeez, Yeah, it's tough.
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
I don't And you mentioned the revamped offensive line. I
don't necessarily know if revamped is better right now. I
loved what they did in getting Scornsky. You can put
him in at right or left tackle if you want.
And I know they got Dillard who's probably gonna be
at left and you know, you you you moved on
from a legend. But I don't know, aren't I wish
I was that high on my team because I'm just

(34:02):
not seeing it right now with the Titans, Hopkins.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
Yeah, even in that lousy division also, so I'm not
buying it.

Speaker 4 (34:09):
First.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
I think you can say that's a lousy division anymore?
Can you can't you kind of start to believe in
what the Jaguars are doing now with Trevor Lawrence.

Speaker 4 (34:17):
Haven't you been picking them every single year to be better? Yes?

Speaker 2 (34:20):
I have, But you know again they're the best of
the worst. Yeah, let's be honest. I mean, I still
don't think that the Texas are one of the three
worst teams. When I brought that up to start in
segment number one, the coach will be a little bit
better and the Titans don't scare me, so it's not
like their world beaters in that division.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
Roman numeral Segment number one. To be very clear, all right,
when we come back to the Tiraq dot Com studios.
More of your reaction. We're just living on Twitter at
Stinking Genius one. I'm at Plank Show. Everyone go follow
us at Fox Sports Radio. All right, welcome back into
the show that's known as already in Plank on Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
I know what you're gonna talk about now, it's gonna
take over the whole show.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
What's that? What do you mean? What's that? I have
no idea what you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Clippers just hit a three to tie it up against
the Lakers, tens of a second left.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
I don't know any of these dudes that are playing
on the Lakers. Though, Matt Morgan hit the three pointer.
Come on now, well he's playing on the Clippers. Yeah,
but I don't.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
Know any of these dudes that are currently playing for
the Raiders. Are the Lakers? Excuse me, no clue whatsoever.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
I know, I know, I saw that. I'm like, oh
my goodness, it's the only thing that's on right now.

Speaker 4 (35:27):
So they keep showing me.

Speaker 3 (35:28):
The they keep showing us the brackets is that here's
what the champion doesn't have either one of these teams
in the brackets. So they are they playing for like
tenth place or something?

Speaker 4 (35:39):
Right now? I don't know what's going on. It's like
the N version of the I know this much. It's
going overtime.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
So if you had an undertaket on this game, you
might be sweating it.

Speaker 4 (35:49):
Oh did they commit? Never mind?

Speaker 3 (35:51):
Oh he committed. Oh my gosh, he committed a foul
on the inbounds.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
Did you see what happened in the Maverick game the
other day.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
I'm not gonna lie to you, Arnie. I paid attention
to the Summer League twice to watch Chet Holmgren's debut
and win Ben Yama's debut. And that's the only and
I mean the only time I've watched any Summer League.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
The Mavericks had the ball, they're passing it around. They
passed it to one of their guys who just decides
to take off the other way and going first.

Speaker 4 (36:22):
Oh yeah, he dunked on the wrong on the wrong rim.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
They called, They called the you know, over and back
before he had a chance.

Speaker 4 (36:29):
To dug get those. It's crazy, it's crazy. So that's it.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
Lakers went out of foul shot because of that foul.

Speaker 4 (36:34):
Yeah, exactly exactly. I uh, look, two guys. I bet
the Lakers are.

Speaker 3 (36:40):
Yeah, a ball game one four, one o three on
a away from the ball foul, some guy in Castleton
who hit the game winning free throws. These are the
people that we should be watching Arnie instead of, say,
Arnie Span you're playing for the brown team.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
No, I think I think I get more of Arnie's bad.
You're playing for the brown team, then these guys get
watching them.

Speaker 3 (37:03):
I mean, I appreciate that you say that, but you don't.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
I'm not so sure about that.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
I'm pretty sure we can pull up numbers that say
they're doing much better than you already. Can it just
be a rec league game that you're playing in and
not try to compare it to a summer league game
or keep your own stat Can it just be something
you do to try to stay in good shape.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
No, I'll tell you what I This is what I'll
put on Twitter. I entered the three point shooting contest
later on next month, so I'll have to put that live.
When I go ahead and do that, that's gonna be fun.

Speaker 4 (37:34):
What does jeez?

Speaker 3 (37:36):
If you win the three point shooting contest, I'll I'll
quit my job.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
I may do it. I may do it.

Speaker 3 (37:45):
LJ hits us up on Twitter, which is the best
way to stay in touch with the show at Stinking
Genius want them at Plank Show. Everybody should be following
us at Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (37:54):
LJ.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
Wrights, guys, I told you Di Hop was not signing
with New England. Who goes into an other year without
a number one receiver? That concerns me. Belichick is not
getting Jones that much up on offense to consistently succeed. Still,
the offense as is should be much better than last
year for the Patriots. Interesting last segment, we spent a

(38:15):
lot of time on the Titans and what it means
for them. Here's LJ rolling in saying, hey, wait a minute,
hold on a second here, this makes me mad as
a Patriots fan because we didn't go get any help
for Mac Jones our offense.

Speaker 2 (38:27):
He's one hundred percent right, And not only that, if
you want to go and take it a little further,
they don't have enough offense. They're going to be the
worst team in that division. They won't make the playoffs,
they'll finish in the last place, and Belichick will be fired.

Speaker 3 (38:45):
By the way, I just want to remind everyone this
is the third straight year that he's picked the Patriots
to finish last. And you did it even when Tom
Brady was there. So eventually, shoot a gun in the
air enough times, you'll get it. Right with the Patriots,
I think they're going to be better. What about Belichick?
If Belichick is fired by the Patriots are gone, He'll
be out of a job for two seconds.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
Right, But do you think he'll be gone? Because I
said to that article, Arnie.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
There's eight thousand articles written about it. You and I
talk about it incessantly, right, we talk about it a lot.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
They have a Belichick's friend say they're worried about him.

Speaker 4 (39:20):
Do you know what I would do if I was
Bill Belichick? What's that? Here's what I would do.

Speaker 3 (39:24):
I would go and I whatever they do this year, right,
I mean they, I don't know what. I don't know
what kind of difference you're gonna make signing Juju Smith,
Schuster Orvante Parker getting a long term deal, Right, I
don't know. But I would go ahead and finish out
this year and I would just walk away, and I
would take the head coaching job of the Las Vegas
Raiders and I would shift Josh McDaniels out and I

(39:48):
would run that show. That's what I would do. You
can have a you have people in place. The Patriots
mindset is already there. Want you think he should be gone.
Patriot fans they want to have the sub twins in
the sub kind of mindsets of yeah, it's try to
move on. Good, fine, let go let him go somewhere else.
Let's see how easy it is to rebuild a dynasty
around someone not named Belichick.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
Yeah, I don't think it's beyond the realm of possibility,
to be honest with you.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
Even though Jerry Jones would probably win that race, because
I think I think that's necessarily I think Jerry Jones
would love to have him in Dallas. All Right, when
we come back, let's dive into a couple of big
camp notes. Plus the biggest story in sports radio hasn't
even been debated yet.

(41:30):
I got this list of teams that are reporting. The Jets.
Are everyone reports for the Jets on Wednesday? Yeah, They're
the only NFL team that has everyone reporting on Wednesday.

Speaker 4 (41:39):
The Browns it's like three days later.

Speaker 3 (41:41):
Where they have everyone reporting, but the Falcons, the Ravensville's Chiefs, Chargers, Giants,
forty nine Ers, Saints, and Miami Dolphins all have rookies
reporting on Tuesday. And then most teams are reporting around
the twenty fourth of the twenty fifth with.

Speaker 4 (41:59):
The first squad.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
Wow, we are here, We're ready to roll.

Speaker 3 (42:04):
But I'm just curious what filled the sports void for
you today? Was it baseball? Well, you went on the tennis.

Speaker 4 (42:14):
Oh, you totally.

Speaker 2 (42:15):
I was watching the watch the whole fifth set of
the tennis.

Speaker 3 (42:19):
I I wasn't really in on the tennis.

Speaker 4 (42:22):
Why. I don't know, I just you know, it's so funny.
I was thinking of that.

Speaker 2 (42:27):
I'm like, man, this reminds me of like the old
days with Connors and Borg and McEnroe.

Speaker 4 (42:32):
And I'm like.

Speaker 2 (42:34):
Damn, I would I would love I mean because Wimbledon
I used to love watching meds. Women's didn't make a difference.
Women's was just as almost as popular as the men's.
Had so many great players, And yeah, I love it.

Speaker 4 (42:47):
I enjoyed it very much.

Speaker 2 (42:48):
I mean to see Jokovic go down like that, I mean,
he had a big streak going.

Speaker 4 (42:54):
No, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a good
time watching it.

Speaker 3 (42:56):
I watched old college football games today. Oh jeez, you
that I did. So I have these these two things.
This week starts SEC media Days, which I would assume
I'm gonna be there next year, so you just better
be ready if we're doing it. I don't know we're
doing it in Nashville again next year, don't care wherever
it is.

Speaker 4 (43:15):
I'm gonna be there.

Speaker 3 (43:17):
So our show a year from today will be live
from SEC Media days.

Speaker 4 (43:22):
Great as that, but I.

Speaker 3 (43:23):
Just, I mean, teams are reporting in College Arnie this
week too, So it's it's.

Speaker 4 (43:31):
Been hard for me.

Speaker 3 (43:33):
I love watching the highlights of the tennis, right, I've
loved watching even some of the summer league highlights. But
to get me to sit down and just watch it's like, ugh,
r right, get there football somewhere that I can watch.
So this is obviously like a meat problem right now,
right you.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
Are so, I mean, you would think that I would
be more excited because my teams are gonna probably have
a better year than your teams, right Especially did you see, then,
said you the outfensive rankings for college football were that
my Arizona Wildcats, like therem were thirteen or fourteen in
the entire country, way higher than Oklahoma. I'm like, damn,

(44:11):
I wish we were playing Oklahoma this year.

Speaker 4 (44:13):
Damn.

Speaker 3 (44:14):
There is nowhere on planet Earth that Arizona's offense should
be ranked higher than Oklahoma.

Speaker 4 (44:20):
Yeah, did I didn't send that to you? You apparently
did not. You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (44:24):
What did it come from Arizona wildcatcountry dot com?

Speaker 8 (44:28):
No?

Speaker 2 (44:28):
You know those ranking cause I send you that did
do one for fifty and it's all with the colors
and everything like that. I don't remember the website.

Speaker 3 (44:35):
I'll say it louder in case you didn't explain it,
there is our understand it or I didn't explain it. Well,
there is no galaxy where Arizona's offense should be considered
in the same class as Oklahoma's wower No way, no way, no,
how well, I'll find the right side.

Speaker 4 (44:53):
I'll send it to you.

Speaker 3 (44:54):
You may have sent it to me. You send me
too many tweets that are wrong. That's part of the group,
that's part of the prom album right for instance. I
don't know if this is a real account or not.
But as we you know, by the way, my point
in bringing that up is I didn't find myself just
glued and suddenly becoming a tennis expert like everyone on
my Twitter timeline did.

Speaker 4 (45:14):
Today.

Speaker 3 (45:15):
I liked watching the highlights me personally. Actually, they were
showing old Bowl games on ESPN. You today, I'm myself
watching I think it was the Tennessee Bowl game was on.
I was watching Joe Milton, who I think is a
Heisman Trophy candidate, and they showed the Oklahoma game against
Florida State, who was supposed to be big bat Florida State.
And if it wasn't for a freshman that rarely played fumbling,

(45:37):
then Florida State probably loses that game. But I digress.
But let's get to what's happening now. Let's get to
the here and now. Arnie, you sent me a tweet
after doing your victory lap, right, you were so you
were so confident that sho Hey was getting traded, Oh well,
one hundred two, one hundred and two percent confident that
he's getting.

Speaker 2 (45:56):
Traded, by the way, I did find that that tweet,
So I'm going to send it to you about.

Speaker 3 (45:59):
Saying okay, So then why would you send this this
tweet that apparently is from an Angel's insider that says
in a meeting this, oh it's.

Speaker 4 (46:12):
Big game, Boomer. That's what you're using, dude.

Speaker 3 (46:17):
You're sending the conference realignment stuff with Gregg Swain.

Speaker 4 (46:21):
What are you doing right now? Don't blame the messenger here. Stop.

Speaker 3 (46:30):
It's quit following him right now, hear me. And if
you send me another dumb tweet from him or his
stupid ass list, unblocking your number. All right, there's there's
absolutely nothing on it instead of troll. And I'm still
mad at Schwartz for putting him on his radio show too.
Guy's a fraud. Yeah he's okay back, by the way,

(46:51):
love you, big game.

Speaker 4 (46:51):
Boomer.

Speaker 3 (46:52):
In a meeting this morning with Team Brass, Angels owner
Ardi Moreno promised Superstars show heyl Tani he will not
be traded and is prepared to offer him a contract
north of five hundred million dollars. Any noise created that
the Angels are in listening mode to trade Otani is

(47:13):
a media driven and completely false false. Have one hundred
confirmation that show Hey will remain an Angel for the
rest of the season. I think he misspelled show Hey
in there somewhere, so you're saying.

Speaker 2 (47:26):
That false that that's the I look, I have an
inside source.

Speaker 4 (47:31):
Would you like me what you're laughing at my inside source?
I'm laughing at your inside source for the Angel ears.
You want me to give you, I'll give you my
source on the air. I don't care do it. Then
I'm not saying you have to.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
His name is common sense. Okay, That's that's who my
source is. And I got plenty of it right and
common sense tells you right. Are you sure that no,
I'm a one hundred percent sure. Common sense is going
to tell you instead of letting show Hey O Toddy
walk away again, absolutely nothing, because he's going to walk away.

(48:06):
It's going to happen. He's not going to be on
the Angels. You'll trade him and you'll probably end up
trading him to the Dodgers and get like four triple
a guys, a double a guy, single a guy. Whatever
it's got to take, you'll do it if you're the
Dodgers out there. But I will tell you this, he's
not coming back to the Angels. Five hundred million. That
she sounds like a low ball off. I bet if

(48:27):
somebody comes up with six or sive.

Speaker 3 (48:29):
I don't think that was a real tweet that you
said either, by the way, but I think that's from
a fake account.

Speaker 4 (48:33):
But anyway, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (48:34):
I think he'll be higher than that. So I think
show Hay is gone. And I think Ardie Merino, who
once said he wanted to sell the team.

Speaker 4 (48:44):
Right, so at least was trying to sell the team.

Speaker 2 (48:47):
I don't think he's in it for the long haul anyway,
So I I got to say that that show Hay
is gone and probably like the Dodgers or maybe the Mariners.

Speaker 4 (48:58):
Or something like that, but I think the Dodgers won.

Speaker 3 (49:00):
Can I Can I go opposite mode? Can I go
against the grain? I feel good going against you and
feeling right?

Speaker 4 (49:08):
Don't do that? But how how do you.

Speaker 3 (49:11):
Know that when Arty Moreno went out and tried to
sell the team, that he quickly realized he's got himself
his golden ticket and show hey Otani.

Speaker 4 (49:22):
And even though they've struggled to win with Otani.

Speaker 3 (49:26):
There was it wasn't as if the Angels didn't have
people wanting to buy the team, Arnie. They they had
people wanting to buy the team, and maybe through the
process Artie Moreno feel about him as you want to.
You can talk to your Moreno. What was the source?

Speaker 4 (49:43):
Again? Common coming? Common sense? Right?

Speaker 2 (49:46):
But you know I love Ardi Moreno, very educated man.

Speaker 4 (49:49):
That's I would assume, so I don't know much about
him at the University of Arizona. There you go.

Speaker 3 (49:55):
But in my mind, You're like, oh, he's trying to
sell the team, so he might not be in it
for the long haul. Well, he had offers and decided
not gonna do it. How can you say that he's
not in it for the long haul whenever he had
big money offers and decided to keep the team.

Speaker 2 (50:11):
Chris, If a guy cheats on his girlfriend or wife wants,
he's going to do it again. If Ardy Marino once
already threatened to sell the Angels, he's going to do
it again. This is not something that he just wakes
up in one morning. You know, Let's see what I
get for the team, and maybe I'll sell it. You know,
it's not like if you're putting your car for sale
or anything like that. That takes months and months, maybe

(50:34):
a year or so. If planning and thinking on what
you want to do and why you want to do
it now, I really have no reason why he pulled back.
Maybe the offers weren't as high as he thought they
were gonna be. Maybe he had a change of heart.
I'm not so sure, but I don't think he's gonna
be in for the long haul. And two he's gonna
walk away anyway. Otani so it.

Speaker 4 (50:53):
Doesn't make a difference of Brito's in it for the
long hall or not.

Speaker 2 (50:56):
Show Otani's not gonna want to play for the Angels
for the rest of his career. He'll want to play
for somebody like the Dodgers, So make the trade. Might
as well get something back for him instead of getting
absolutely nothing for him.

Speaker 3 (51:08):
You you talk about show Hey as if you have
some sort of inside source in Otani's camp. Arnie sense,
you seem pretty certain about a dude that we know
absolutely nothing about.

Speaker 2 (51:22):
Well again, I mean, just put yourself in his shoes.

Speaker 4 (51:26):
Aren't common sense?

Speaker 3 (51:27):
Common sense to me would say you don't trade a
generational talent.

Speaker 4 (51:31):
No, No, you're gonna be competitive.

Speaker 3 (51:35):
You're saying I'm gonna match any offer that's out there,
and if you leave, you know, I'm gonna say I
gave him my best shot to keep you here.

Speaker 4 (51:41):
He's gonna leave. So you don't know, Arnie. I'm sorry.
I appreciate your inside source here.

Speaker 3 (51:47):
Common sense, yes, but I will kindly and and very
in a friend like way, say you don't know what
the bleep you're talking about, and trying to say that
you know what shoe hey, Tony's gonna do. I have
no clue whatsoever. You're going with this common sense thing. Okay,
you don't know if he's happy there, Well let's take
it from this go ahead.

Speaker 4 (52:04):
I'm all ears.

Speaker 2 (52:05):
If he wanted to stay with the Angels, wouldn't they
be working on a contract right now?

Speaker 4 (52:10):
I don't know that they're not.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
Really you want to bet on that one or what?

Speaker 4 (52:15):
Sure? Yeah, I'll bet you.

Speaker 2 (52:16):
I mean, it just doesn't seem like they're working on
a contract. That doesn't seem like they're If they were,
you think one insider would have that information, wouldn't they?

Speaker 3 (52:25):
Well, I don't know if any of the insiders have
a good feel about show. Hey Otani, I mean Jeff Passon,
we've played him as inside. There's a clip, by the way,
on our cut sheet. I don't know who it's from.
It's just listed by our editors as a show Hey
Otani wants to play for a winner, which I.

Speaker 4 (52:42):
Think is fascinating. But I don't know who says it,
so I don't know. Brandon.

Speaker 3 (52:46):
If we can find out who that's from, I'll play it.
But it's I don't even know if any of the
insiders truly know what he's all about and then if
it is you're counting on all right, that conversation going
between you and interpreter or you and his agent, and
then you know it's just to me. I feel like
it's one of the great unknowns, and to speak in

(53:07):
such certainty as Arnie Spanier is today, Yes, I don't
know if I feel confident doing that right.

Speaker 2 (53:12):
Let me ask you this, if I made you bet money,
all your money, what team were you gonna take that
he plays for next year?

Speaker 3 (53:18):
I'm not gonna bet on show hey Otani, even what
team he's gonna play on, because I can't even have
a conversation with him. But you know, I would bet
the under on the Raiders if you asked me if
I had to bet all my money on something, but
I would give I would give the Angels as good
of a chance as anyone.

Speaker 4 (53:34):
Really.

Speaker 2 (53:35):
Yeah, I put the Angels maybe like third. I think
the Dodgers are gonna be first. I think Seattle's second.
I may even have the Yankees third, then followed by
the Angels at number four.

Speaker 4 (53:48):
Why Seattle because they chanted for him.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
You know, he's lived there the last couple of years
during the off season and just kind of check it out.

Speaker 4 (53:57):
I thought he lived overseas a lot. I thought he
was he lived in Seattle. There you go, it's done.
He's going to Seattle.

Speaker 2 (54:04):
No, seriously, that's a that's a true story. I'm surprised
you didn't know that.

Speaker 3 (54:07):
I well, you're right, because I'm not stalking him right now,
apparently like you are.

Speaker 2 (54:11):
Yeah, he lived in Seattle for the better part of
two different years. Not the better part, but you know,
two different years. The better part, it said, not the
better part? Is it for two different years?

Speaker 4 (54:23):
For two different years?

Speaker 1 (54:25):
You know?

Speaker 4 (54:25):
I Do you not read any of the articles I
sent you?

Speaker 2 (54:28):
As I busted my hup looking for these things like
all week long?

Speaker 4 (54:33):
No, I don't. Such is why I wish we quit
sending them. Do we have a producer? No, you don't
let hold on pause. I'm gonna break down the wall.

Speaker 3 (54:42):
You don't let anyone produce the show because you send
your little shit I don't think we have with the
Roman numerals, and then you don't end up wanting to
talk about any of it because when we try to,
you trample all over to talk about the Dolphins or
your rec league game.

Speaker 4 (54:55):
You should just you shouldn't send a sheet.

Speaker 3 (54:58):
You should just say I want to talk about how
I should have been in the NBA, or how the
Dolphins are going to live in the U are going
to be in the super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (55:06):
I will find the one that said on Toddy was
living in You act like I'm making this stuff up.

Speaker 3 (55:11):
No, no, no, I'm I'm inquisitive. I'm curious, okay, but now
they're looking for it. He spent he spent four months
across two hat season Seattle.

Speaker 2 (55:22):
Because I've actually spent about two off seasons in Seattle,
the total of four months.

Speaker 4 (55:27):
He spent four months, So I didn't what he has
to obviously play baseball. What do you want to.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
Did four months? That's two much he only gets. He
only gets three months a year off for crying out loud.

Speaker 3 (55:38):
Four months off of two years, and always like he's
been living in Seattle for like two years.

Speaker 4 (55:44):
I was right, though, you kind of.

Speaker 3 (55:47):
It was almost when you said, hey, that place can
seat thirty and he could see eighteen.

Speaker 4 (55:52):
He didn't take you round up quite.

Speaker 2 (55:53):
What what did you think he wanted to go see?
He was just hanging out there for vacation or something
like that.

Speaker 4 (55:58):
Well, I mean two months with the amount of mine,
he makes maybe space or something.

Speaker 3 (56:02):
Come on now two months? Yeah, so anyway, show hey
off to Seattle. According to Arnie sources based on.

Speaker 2 (56:09):
I just oh my god, I just said one one
of maybe four teams that I could say would maybe
want him or that he would want to go to it.
I put Seattle on there. We obviously he was checking
it out. I mean, come on out read between the
lines from crying out loud again? Maybe should I give
you my source on this one? Common sense again tells

(56:29):
you when a guy goes there for four months, he's
obviously likes it.

Speaker 4 (56:35):
Am I crazy? There's something wrong with me? I'm top.
Maybe I don't know. Maybe something's wrong with me, I think.
I mean, I look at all these signs, I read
everything I can.

Speaker 2 (56:46):
I get all this information, and you're like, what are
you talking about, you idiot?

Speaker 3 (56:49):
I don't know he never I think there's a major
difference trying to say he lived at a place for two
years and he was there for four months over the
span of two years. I think that's quite a lineation
between the way you made it sound. But when we
come back, when we come back, does anyone truly have
an insight? Source on this as we come to your

life from the tire Rack dot Com studios. It's already

(57:31):
dot Com. All right, you'll like this, yeah, because it
agrees with your idea that you trade a generational talent.
Jim Bowden was on with Mad Dog Chris Russo and
he was asked about show Hey and again bone rights
for the Athletic. I was reading his list of like

(57:52):
teams that should be in or out before the show started,
on whether or not they should be movers or sellers,
buyers or sellers.

Speaker 4 (57:59):
Here's what he's I am.

Speaker 9 (58:01):
Being told that showe Aotani is not going to resign
with the Angels, that Shoe a a Tani has gotten
to the point where he wants to be in the
playoffs in the World Series the rest of his career.
He does not like losing. I don't see a pathway
where the Angels are going to be all of a
sudden become perennial contenders. I don't see it with their
farm system. I don't see it with their resources. I
don't see this happening. I think he's gone, and I

(58:23):
think the Dodgers are going to do everything they can
to land them. They prepared this year. They let Trey
Turner walk, They made a lot of decisions last offseason.
They have not spent money because they were waiting for
shoe Aotani and I think they got a legitimate shot
of landing him. And if I'm the Angels, am I
going to let Otani go for a draft pick? So
I gave Otani all that money. I never finished above

(58:44):
five hundred with him, and now I'm going to get
nothing back. I mean, do you remember when the Nationals
held on to Harper and he left and they got
nothing for him. Well, they learned their lesson, right, because
then they got Soto and then they traded him for
six players, and now their future is bright. If you're
the Angel, you have no choice but to trade shoy Otani.
You have no choice. Or if your choice is not

(59:06):
to trade him, you should either lose your job or
sell your organization there.

Speaker 4 (59:10):
You gotta do it on your side.

Speaker 2 (59:12):
Obviously, you just listen to everything I said. I mean,
I've been saying that for a while.

Speaker 4 (59:15):
Now. What really worst sitting in for Jason this week?

Speaker 2 (59:19):
Weren't just think about I mean I really, I said,
trade him to the Dodgers. He's got to be gone. Obviously,
he's got the same inside Sosaiah. Have common sense. The
guy doesn't like losing, wants to win, gets to stay
in the Los Angeles area.

Speaker 4 (59:35):
Win win, win, win, win, win win. I mean, there's
You're right.

Speaker 2 (59:39):
If you don't trade him, you should be fired from
your job for crying out loud.

Speaker 3 (59:43):
Julian rights, Arnie's right on this one. Artie Moreno can
vacillate between selling the team or not. I wouldn't call
that the best most winning this environment to win in
you don't have to put most in front of that, Julian.

Speaker 4 (59:55):
That's just my take.

Speaker 3 (59:56):
And then she added the Angels are not a winner
or entirely on the map as far as being considered
an elite team forever. Hey, listen, I'm not going to
complain about trading him to the Dodgers. I mean trading
to the Dodgers all you want. I just don't know
if I want to be the guy that traded shoe
Hee Otani. To me, he's in a completely different category
than Juan Sodo. To me, he's in a completely different

(01:00:18):
category than Bryce Harper. I mean this is like the
Patrick Mahomes of baseball.

Speaker 2 (01:00:23):
R jus embarrass to be the one guy that lets
a generational guy leave without getting anything in return.

Speaker 3 (01:00:29):
I'll take that chance rather than trading him. I really
fired them too. I would listen, you pay the money
to get him there. He seems to be pretty comfortable there.
I don't know what's Jim Bowden's sources are, outside of
maybe talking to a couple of other gms and how
they feel, and maybe talking to a few agents and
see how they feel.

Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
Has there been a lot of stars, super superstars traded
in their prime like this, like not even I mean
just getting well he.

Speaker 3 (01:00:58):
Just mentioned too, Sodo and and Harper didn't get traded,
but obviously got uh Khalil Mack comes to mind me
for the Raiders, right, they traded him after his best
season at the Bears, got a couple first night picks,
and they absolutely is.

Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
Going to be a Hall of Famer. We're talking Hall
of Famer. I think Clil Maxwell of okay, you could,
I you know, I I was thinking. The only person
that came to mind for me was like when the
Meds guy KEITHR. Nandez, but he was passed his prime
with Saint Louis.

Speaker 3 (01:01:24):
I believe that's that's why I just I can't fathom it. Man,
and I would have all I mean, think about this.
You might be struck. You're six games out of the
wild Card now right, You're not going anywhere this year.
I can't even fight and say, well, you're still in
the playoff change a couple of weeks ago Trouts out.

Speaker 4 (01:01:42):
You don't know when he's coming back.

Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
But man, Harnie, I just I would have the hardest
time on the planet trying to make a deal that
would involve moving on from him.

Speaker 4 (01:01:51):
I just wouldn't be able to do it.

Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
I can answer that second question, go ahead about when
Trout's coming back?

Speaker 4 (01:01:57):
When's that?

Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
That would be never because I'd be tray him also.

Speaker 4 (01:02:01):
So now you're gonna trade Mike Trout as well? Franchise.

Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
Oh you better believe I could reboot my whole team
like you wouldn't believe if I traded those two guys
and I wouldn't have to pay because a billion dollars
for him.

Speaker 3 (01:02:15):
Well, if you want to play that game, Artie Moreno,
did spend the most money that the Angels had ever
spent in free agency? What last couple of seasons? Open
up the checkbook? Has it worked out? He might say that?

Speaker 4 (01:02:29):
You know?

Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
There, he goes, I tried, it didn't work, So let's
cut costs. If you want to live in that world.
What's the best way to sell a team? Low cost
or high cost? Do you tell me?

Speaker 4 (01:02:38):
I think you just put it up for seal. That's
what I think. Scores.

Speaker 3 (01:02:43):
I guess the best way to make money off a
team have it. Have it be a winner whenever you
sell them.

Speaker 4 (01:02:48):
But that doesn't even matter. You don't think it matters
if you're winning champions.

Speaker 2 (01:02:53):
With the Clippers and Bomber and he'll pay that started
the extra billion those.

Speaker 4 (01:02:59):
We're still pretty good with balmer Bottom.

Speaker 2 (01:03:01):
Yeah, but he overpaid for him, but he didn't care.

Speaker 4 (01:03:03):
Who cares?

Speaker 3 (01:03:04):
Only get he overpaid for him. But have you seen
the arena? Holy smokes man, it's gonna be unreal whenever
it gets finished, all right, so anyway, there's thirty good
minutes of show Hey O Tani discussions. I think we
fulfilled our sports radio obligation right whenever it comes to
show Hey Debate, and we got the Jim Boden cut

(01:03:25):
in there, and we got your tweets in there as well.
It is at the very least the biggest name heading
into the store. The trade deadline in a couple of
weeks and Arnie, you know, it's gonna be a roller coaster,
right what. One day it's like, Oh, I hear they're
moving him. The next day, Oh, he's gonna be happy.
It's just gonna be NonStop until we either trade him
or we get pass it.

Speaker 2 (01:03:43):
It's gonna be that one insider that says, I got
the story, he's gonna be traded, blah blah blah, and
then somebody's gonna have to company goes, I have what
ahead and I heard that it's not been decided. Nothing
has been decided. You know, the I'll just start fighting
with each other.

Speaker 4 (01:04:01):
He's going to be NonStop.

Speaker 3 (01:04:02):
As we come to you live from the Tirerock dot
Com studios. You all got takes on this. We'll hit
Twitter coming up in a bit first man, Steve the
Sager is in the house with everything going on in
the world of sports. What's up, Steve?

Speaker 6 (01:04:13):
You played the cuts from Jim Bowden, former Saturday host
here with us and former Cincinnati Reds GM in his
younger days. But there are three in season trades of
note in baseball history that we could bring up. One
I brought up before that. John Smoltz was from Michigan
and Detroit Tigers and for trade Doyle Alexander rated for

(01:04:34):
Doyle Alexander, he was superb down the stretch for the Tigers,
got him in the playoffs, and Smolts wound up in
the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2 (01:04:41):
Not but he wasn't in his prime though, Smolts or
anything like that.

Speaker 6 (01:04:44):
No, he was just just starting out and wind up
having a very long career. Jeff Bagwell was born in Boston,
was on Boston and they traded him to get relief
help and it worked for the season for Larry Anderson,
but he didn't return to Boston and Bagwell wide's up
in the Hall of Fame with somebody else. And the
Padres got Hall of Fame closer Trevor Hoffman in the

(01:05:05):
trade for Gary Sheffield and It's not like Sheffield didn't
do anything for the Marlins or anything in his career,
but the Padres did get a Hall of Famer in return,
just for the record. Might have a little more on
the Hall of Fame in about fifteen.

Speaker 2 (01:05:17):
Oh, somebody's put up a good Bookie Betts in his
way in his prime.

Speaker 6 (01:05:20):
Yeah, Rookie Betts, absolutely, because were they going to re
sign him. The Dodgers gave him the enormous deal. The
Dodgers did trade a starter, alex Erdugo was one of
their top prospects. It wasn't a nothing, certainly in return.
Houston Astros with an incredible weekend at Anaheim, lost in
ten innings last night thirteen twelve, but beat the Angels
nine to eight tonight with four runs in the top

(01:05:41):
of the ninth, even though show Hey Otani hit a
solo homer bottom of the ninth. Otani's batting three to
oh one. This was his thirty fourth home run leads
the Major Leagues by the way. As a pitcher, he
has the lowest batting average against this year. In addition
to on offense, leading the majors in home runs, and
the Angels record is forty six and forty eight. So

(01:06:01):
there Philadelphia and twelve innings beat the Padres. Ten inning
wins for the Mets over the Dodgers, and for the
Giants at Pittsburgh. Colorado with two homers in the eleventh
beat the Yankees. White Sox won at Atlanta eight to one.
When they beat the Braves in Atlanta last night, that
was a Braves first home loss in over a month.
Kansas City defeated Tampa Bay eight to four. Baltimore won

(01:06:23):
its eighth straight game, five to four over Miami. Do
you know that the Rays are only one game ahead
of the Baltimore.

Speaker 4 (01:06:28):
Orianes for the site signs.

Speaker 6 (01:06:30):
Yeah, the AL East and the Rays have a record
of sixty and thirty six and might not finish first.
That's how good the O's have been. Minnesota, meanwhile, is
a first place team at forty eight and forty six.
They're now two and a half games over the Guardians.
Cleveland lost its fourth straight six ' five at Texas,
while Minnesota got to play in Oakland this weekend five
to four twins. The final A's have lost seven straits

(01:06:53):
and the A's record is twenty five and seventy that's
pretty good or not? Attendance was nine thousand, three point
thirty five in Oakland.

Speaker 4 (01:07:02):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (01:07:03):
Sellout at the Rams Stadium tonight seventy three thousand to
see Mexico win soccer's Gold Cup final in l one
nothing over Panama on a goal in the eighty eighth minute.
That was on Fox TV. Fox TV. We'll have the
US women's soccer starting the World Cup this Friday night.
The US will play all three of its group matches
in New Zealand, the openers against the Vietnam team that

(01:07:24):
is not ranked in the top twenty five. Carlos Alcarez
won the Wimbledon final, a superb five set match over
Novak Djokovic sixty four in the fifth. Arnty had it right.
This was like the old time matches with Borg or
McEnroe or Conners. This was really special.

Speaker 4 (01:07:40):
Fogulars. Yeah, that was fun.

Speaker 6 (01:07:41):
People are saying that today's match was like the changing
of the guard. We got about twenty years ago when
Roger Federer upset Pete Sampers at Wimbledon, and they were
saying at the time, Oh, this guy Federer, He's gonna
win more of this. He's gonna be the next guy
for the next end he was and Pete Sampress was not.

Speaker 4 (01:07:57):
That was the change.

Speaker 6 (01:07:59):
Novak Jokeovich is what thirty six years old now, he
had not lost a match at Wimbledon since twenty seventeen.

Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
I didn't see either one of them ever win a
challenge too.

Speaker 4 (01:08:10):
Never.

Speaker 6 (01:08:12):
Sometimes they just waste their video challenge, like, you know,
I could use thirty seconds off He's just look at
that last shot. I know my serve was out. But anyway,
all Krous is only twenty years old, rank number one
in the world. He lost the first set six to
one today and still wins in five. They put up
a graphic that Djokovic in his superb Wimbledon career when

(01:08:33):
he won the first set of a match was seventy
nine and one by know and did not win today.
Rory McElroy took the Scottish Open by one stroke. NASCAR's
race was postponed to tomorrow. The Tennessee Titans are expected
to sign wide receiver DeAndre Hockett. And you guys did
mention this, but the Lakers we've never heard of beat
the Clippers we've never heard of at the Las Vegas

(01:08:53):
Summer League, which ends with its final on Monday, most
teams last game was today. The title game will have
Cleveland versus Houston for the record they each won today.
But even if you know the young players in the league,
they probably weren't playing this weekend in the team finales.
Except for late first rounder Marcus Sasser University of Houston
for the Detroit Pistons today forty points in thirty minutes

(01:09:16):
and no turnovers. Marcus Sasser was sixteen of twenty five
shooting from the floor in the Pistons win.

Speaker 4 (01:09:23):
I'd like to play.

Speaker 6 (01:09:24):
Geez, it's always a better already effect to you.

Speaker 4 (01:09:27):
Wow, gosh, have you noticed it? Wow? It always gets
back to you. How is that?

Speaker 2 (01:09:32):
Why is that all these guys they're playing defense like me?

Speaker 4 (01:09:35):
It seems like I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:09:36):
We're coming to you live from the tire rack dot
Com studios. Tire rack dot Com will help you get there.
Twitter is the best way to stay in touch. Buzz
great at stinking gior Do you ever say that it's
not buzzing, but.

Speaker 4 (01:09:49):
It's buzzing though tonight?

Speaker 2 (01:09:50):
Though?

Speaker 4 (01:09:50):
All right, all right, were go on.

Speaker 3 (01:09:52):
Uh, here's here's a couple bake, right, So Arizona will
have a better offense than Oklahoma, Otani will be the
Dodger and Arnie would be an NBA star if he'd
been six ' eight.

Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
Yeah, he got that all that right. By the way,
I did send you that one from your Oklahoma guy
that had Arizona with a better offense. You know, somebody,
even when I send you factual proof about something, Arnie,
you still don't believe it.

Speaker 4 (01:10:17):
You know, it's amazing.

Speaker 3 (01:10:19):
That is not factual proof. That is one man's opinion.

Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
And I happened to respect it more than God right now.

Speaker 4 (01:10:26):
So there you respect big.

Speaker 3 (01:10:29):
I'm Kenny, I'm Kenny. I'm kiddy at banks here. That's
good stuff, nature boy. The tennis match today had the
same feel as when Jordan and Kobe faced each other
in the All Star Game years ago. I saw the
full five set match today. It was epic.

Speaker 2 (01:10:47):
Yeah. I don't know about well, I understand the analogy there,
but the it did bring back that old time tennis
feel you did miss the day, just started thinking about,
you know, all the time when you were younger, and
all those great matches and all those great names out there. Really,
it just brought back golden memories watching these guys.

Speaker 3 (01:11:07):
And then two other quick ones Big Cat Comics. One right,
Jacksonville is still winning the AFC South.

Speaker 4 (01:11:13):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:11:13):
I don't think this Hopkins signing puts Tennessee as the
front runner, do you.

Speaker 2 (01:11:17):
No, No, not at all, jackson That matter of fact,
if the SEGUR does his job, he'll say it the
next update that Jacksonville clinched the division already. So yeah,
that's already done there, they're gonna win that division.

Speaker 4 (01:11:28):
There's a doubt about that. Oh v e R.

Speaker 2 (01:11:31):
It's over and it's O V e R. Chris absolutely so.

Speaker 3 (01:11:33):
Is is this gonna be another year when you tell
us that of the sixteen or excuse me, eight divisions, Yeah,
in the NFL, six of them are already over.

Speaker 2 (01:11:42):
I didn't say six last year, I said, what two
or three of them?

Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
No? No, No, you said all of them pretty much
were over.

Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
No, I said like three, And it turned out to
be absolutely right on them, right, Arney.

Speaker 3 (01:11:53):
Last year, your thing was there's no drama. I'm trying
to tell you you were right. You're like, there's no drama.
Here's the team that are going to win their divisions.
You said it over and over and over.

Speaker 2 (01:12:03):
Cincinnati, I think I said, Kansas City.

Speaker 3 (01:12:07):
I think you even had given Buffalo the not in
the East. Yeah, you had your Dolphins, so you you
were pretty much dead set on that last year. I
don't know why. I think you even had Philly winning. No,
you had the Cowboys winning the East.

Speaker 4 (01:12:19):
I had the Cowboys, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:12:20):
Which again, I think you're a closet Dallas Cowboys family.

Speaker 4 (01:12:23):
What do I know? So I'm with him.

Speaker 3 (01:12:26):
Jacksonville would be my pick right now, But I'm I'm
how about this? Color me intrigued Arnie by whether or
not Hopkins suddenly rediscovers his love for football. Yeah, because
that seemed like a dude that was on what did
romy Wance say, operations shut down? That seemed like a
dude that even whenever he was out there was on
operations shut down for Arizona the last few years.

Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
Yeah, and you're probably right about that. And also Tennessee
did lose their last seven games we of last year.
We didn't even bring that up. Their point differential was atrocious.
The whole division was actually atrocious other than Jacksonville. And
yet even in a bad division, Tennessee was able only
to go able seven and ten. So I'm not expected
DeAndre Hopkins, what is that gonna do when you're down

(01:13:10):
like thirty five ten. Oh, I just had some stats there.
It's not gonna make a difference at all.

Speaker 3 (01:13:15):
And then late night drug tester, one more quick one
before we break. Arnie doesn't like the Falcons. I'm guessing
he goes Peter King and pitts the Saints to win
the South in twenty ninety.

Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
No, no, I'm not picking the same that the Vision
or the NFC is.

Speaker 4 (01:13:30):
He said, Well, he.

Speaker 3 (01:13:30):
Just says to win the South. You gotta remember Peter
King had them going to the NFC.

Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
Champions Yeah, yeah, big difference there.

Speaker 3 (01:13:36):
That's where we were kind of laughing about it last year.
But to win that division this year.

Speaker 4 (01:13:42):
Maybe maybe maybe yeah maybe maybe. For now, all right,
we'll have more tweets.

Speaker 3 (01:13:47):
But when we come back, Steve de Sager is here
to dot all the eyes and cross all the tea's.

Speaker 4 (01:13:52):
It's Arnie in Plank on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (01:13:55):
It's already in Plank on a Fox Sports Sunday into
a Monday Rookies report this week all across the NFL
can't wait camps here. So Steve de Sega, what's going on, Steve, Well.

Speaker 6 (01:14:08):
It's Baseball Hall of Fame weekend next weekend. Already Fred
McGriff in by committee. He gets into the Hall next Sunday.
Scott Rowland was voted in by the writers. He gets
into the Hall next Sunday. And by the way, Scott
Rowland will go into the Hall of Fame as a
Saint Louis Cardinal. He played his first six and a
half years in the majors for the Phillies, who drafted him.
Fred McGriff's Hall of Fame plaque will not feature any

(01:14:30):
team's logo. He played for six different teams, just like
none for Mammanski. Remember, might as well have that as
his logo exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:14:40):
He spent more time known for that, didn't he get
so he didn't even you don't get to choose, right
the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 6 (01:14:47):
I think I think there's obviously input, But yeah, no,
was it four seasons max? For any of the teams
in a long career, pick your favorite team, then come
in pick to Padre. Are you know none of those? No,
it's going to be just no logo on the plaque
on the hat for Fred mcgraf, who had nearly five

(01:15:08):
hundred homers but finished top five at MVP voting only
once I don't know what.

Speaker 4 (01:15:11):
I think of him.

Speaker 2 (01:15:12):
I just think of Toronto's for some reason.

Speaker 6 (01:15:14):
Yeah, yeah, and that was his highlight really and a
championship championships, I guess he joined ninety three.

Speaker 2 (01:15:20):
We'll slap in the face to the people up there,
but go ahead.

Speaker 6 (01:15:24):
This weekend's wimledon final shows yet again. The unfairness of
so called equal pay in tennis. Now, to be clear,
I am not talking about salaries for regular people in
the workplace. Women in offices, for example, they've had to
fight for a ridiculously long time trying to get as
the phrase says, equal pay for equal work, But that
last part of the sentence is exactly the problem in tennis.

(01:15:46):
The work is not equal. Venus Williams was among the
athletes who fought hard for years to make the prize
money equal for women and men playing at Grand Slam
tennis events. Congratulations, she succeeded. Unfortunately, the women tennis don't
have to work as long to earn their share. Women's
events are best to out of three matches. Yeah, men's tennis,

(01:16:06):
it's best of five at Grand Slam tournaments. And why
is that?

Speaker 4 (01:16:09):
By the way, do.

Speaker 6 (01:16:11):
Female tennis players only play best of threes because women
are somehow the weaker sex can't handle plays. Wow, because
that's the same type of silly thinking that kept the
Olympics from having a women's marathon like the men had
already had for decades. Finally, Los Angeles nineteen eighty four
was the first to have an Olympic marathon race for
women too. But women in tennis can't play a best

(01:16:33):
out of three match only. Why aren't any female athletes
speaking up about that?

Speaker 2 (01:16:38):
By the way, by the way, I want to see
Dwayne Wade now that he bought into the women unba.
I want I assume now they'll be private flights for
them and they'll pay whoever's the best on that team,
the same as Lebron. Right, we're gonna get to the
equal pace. So okay, we have the best team, give
them fifty million a year.

Speaker 4 (01:16:56):
Let's go, let's go. Come on.

Speaker 6 (01:16:58):
The Wade men's final at Wimbledon, as we mentioned, was
a classic. It was four hours forty three minutes. Yes
to wow. The women's final yesterday only took one hour
and twenty minutes, but both winners earned the exact same
amount this weekend two point seven million dollars each, even
though in the two weeks of Wimbledon this summer, the
men's winner played twenty five total sets of tennis compared

(01:17:21):
to sixteen sets for the women's chang.

Speaker 2 (01:17:23):
What about the ratings though from the men's is it separated?

Speaker 6 (01:17:27):
I'm sure that's part of because it has to do
with income, right, think about the fans and this is
a huge point for me, not that the athletes care
about the fans, but Wimbledon charged the same ticket prices
for each of the two finals this weekend, close to
three hundred and fifty bucks US per ticket face value,
whether it's for the women's day or the men's today.
But the Saturday women's final was over in an hour

(01:17:49):
twenty Because if it's the best of three match, not
best of five like the men play, how is that
fair to the fans? Again, it wasn't equal work, but
they got equals will pay. And by the way, you know,
Soccer's Women's World Cup starts this week, co hosted by Australia.
Just today the Players Union for Australia's women's team called
for equal prize money from FIFA compared to all that's

(01:18:12):
awarded at the men's World Cup a little bit separate issue.
The total women's prize money is currently small, about a
fourth of what the men's World Cup turn gives out.
So they were asked today what about the men's World
Cup probably generating more money than the women's and their
answer was, I quote, oh, FIFA has billions they can
afford to give equal prize money now, so they should

(01:18:34):
just give you the money even if you don't generate
the same income as the men's World Cup does. For
the record, WNBA champs don't get close to the same
money that the NBA champions get. There might be a
business reason for that. So by the way, the US
women's soccer team, remember they were fighting successfully against US
Soccer for equal pay, They now get to split the

(01:18:56):
money that the US men just won last year at
the World Cup because they advanced so far. That's at
least thirteen million dollars the men got. The US women
get half of that. The major point is from tennis
this weekend, equal pay for equal work. There is no
equal work from women's tennis. Football reminder, tomorrow is the

(01:19:16):
deadline for franchise tag players to work out a contract extension,
so Giants running back Saquon Barkley wants a multi year deal.
Does it look like that's happening. Raiders running back Josh
Jacobs is not under contract. That's a little different. May
not report to camp but waiting an extension. But the
Jaguars did give tight end Evan Ingram a three year
contract worth twenty four million guarantees. So good news for him,

(01:19:39):
maybe not for a lot of other Tag players.

Speaker 3 (01:19:42):
Good stuff, Steve, I see, I always want to get
smarter about understanding the genesis of some of those debates, right,
is it? Is it footed in fact? And footed? Is
that even make sense? Is it based in fact? Is
it based in legit? You know, reasoning? And I think
you just laid it out for us when it comes
to equal pay. All right, when we come back to
the tire rack dot Com studios, you'all have takes. We'll

(01:20:05):
get to them, including the impact DeAndre Hopkins can make
with the Titans. Is Josh Jacobs on his way out
of Vegas?

Speaker 4 (01:20:12):
And is there.

Speaker 3 (01:20:12):
Another potential major holdout in Kansas City. We'll dive into
it all in our final hour of nine Plank on

Speaker 4 (01:20:36):
Why is that?

Speaker 6 (01:20:36):
Man?

Speaker 4 (01:20:36):
Why is that?

Speaker 3 (01:20:37):
Well, we haven't had any of your Dolphins propaganda.

Speaker 2 (01:20:41):
I have that in my predictions on Tyrek l.

Speaker 4 (01:20:44):
No, he threw quite a prediction out there. Not real.
It's it's a done deal. Oh, it's a done deal.

Speaker 3 (01:21:04):
I take it you're not one of those people that
care about a lot of quote unquote experts getting on
your dolphins bandwagon now.

Speaker 4 (01:21:14):
Over the place.

Speaker 2 (01:21:15):
It's all it's crazy, it's all over the place out there.

Speaker 4 (01:21:17):
It doesn't concern you.

Speaker 3 (01:21:18):
Whenever people that are I don't know, usually pretty wrong,
like yourself, are telling you how good they're gonna be
this year, that doesn't bother you at all.

Speaker 2 (01:21:26):
No, because I obviously everybody's starting get to see it
my way now, So it's just yeah, so now I
just know that it just took everybody else so while
to catch up to me. But I mean I saw
it from the beginning. It's gonna be a it's gonna
be a.

Speaker 4 (01:21:40):
Super Bowl year. I'm feeling good.

Speaker 2 (01:21:42):
It's it's my year, my year for football, big boy?

Speaker 4 (01:21:45):
What are you gonna do when it's not?

Speaker 3 (01:21:47):
I'll tell you what you're gonna do, because you've done
it for the ten years we've done this show together.
What is that a vice called in men in black?
It's literally like you don't learn a lesson? They yeah,
the mindwiper. Yeah, it's almost as if you just completely
and totally forget anything you said.

Speaker 4 (01:22:04):
Then you're like, oh, this is the year. Now, this
was the year that I met In the twelve years
we've been doing this show. Is there more time too?

Speaker 2 (01:22:12):
Has there been more of a time that the Dobbins
were a bigger favorite to go to the Super Bowl
than this year?

Speaker 4 (01:22:18):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:22:18):
I'd have to look back the answers. No, the answers no,
let me just answer that for you.

Speaker 3 (01:22:22):
I don't know if you can factually say that they
had some pretty decent teams.

Speaker 2 (01:22:26):
I'll say no until some producer as we don't have one,
looks that up, so that'll take like a month and
a half. But uh no, they've never been that much
of a favorite that they are this year.

Speaker 3 (01:22:36):
A couple of things that we are keeping an eye
on as far as the NFL is concerned, is we
mentioned Wednesday. We've got the Jets fully report for camp
on Wednesday Fame game, at least from what I've seen.
And remember we had to figure out that what was
it to Sager, we had like the Ravens where they
had it listen on the NFL dot com site that

(01:22:58):
oh they're reporting on like the twelfth of like what
and it.

Speaker 4 (01:23:01):
Was some sort of ticket purchase you could buy.

Speaker 3 (01:23:04):
But at least from what I can see for the Jets,
everyone is reporting on Wednesday. Now they played the Browns.
The Browns don't report until later in the week. But
Atlanta the let's see who all do we have here?
The Atlanta Falcons, the Bills, the Chiefs, the Ravens, the Chargers,

(01:23:26):
forty nine Ers, Giants, Saints in Miami all have their
rookies report on Tuesdays.

Speaker 4 (01:23:30):
Aaron rodging up on Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
Aaron Rodgers is gonna play in that Hall of Fame game?

Speaker 4 (01:23:34):
Doubtful.

Speaker 3 (01:23:35):
Oh, Packers two will report on Tuesday with these are
your rookies, These are your rookies?

Speaker 4 (01:23:39):
Would you play them on?

Speaker 6 (01:23:40):
And are some teams, by the way, like Arizona that'll
wait to have the rookies report with the veterans on
the twenty fifth, but most veterans report on the twenty fifth.

Speaker 3 (01:23:49):
I mean, I could really nerd out and go down
that list, but there's a handful of them. There's four
or five that are having their rookies report at the
same time. Would you have them play with the in
the Hall of Fame game?

Speaker 2 (01:23:59):
I mean, you've got to give him some time with
your team. I mean, are you're gonna play you have
two home games Tampa and the Browns, and you don't
want to wait till the third game of the year
the preseason to play him there, So I would I
would may have to do that, maybe.

Speaker 3 (01:24:15):
Just four now whenever you have that right. I understand that,
but I don't want to play them so much.

Speaker 2 (01:24:20):
You're not gonna play them against the Giants because you
know in that type of game you could get him
hurt and that's the last game. Anyway, you could play
him against Tampa, which is the third game, and that's
a home game, and they played at Carolina in the
second game, so I may have to play maybe a
series maybe.

Speaker 4 (01:24:38):
I don't know. If we've ever seen a starting quarterback
play in the Hall of Fame game, I would love it.
I love it.

Speaker 3 (01:24:43):
I'll have to go back because the Raiders were in
it last year and Jared Stidham played. I don't even
remember they played against I think they played against the
Jaguars and it was like the fourth string Jaguars quarterback played.

Speaker 6 (01:24:54):
But well, sure Roger Stabauch or somebody way back when.

Speaker 3 (01:24:57):
Yeah, we if you really want to dig into the numbers.
But I mean, Arnie's not even wanting to look back
in ten years for the Dolphins, so I feel pretty
good about that statement. Meanwhile, tomorrow at four Eastern is
the franchise tag deadline for running backs. So as we
talk about everyone reporting that Josh Jacobs has not signed,
de Sega brought this up.

Speaker 4 (01:25:16):
It's a good point.

Speaker 3 (01:25:17):
Josh Jacobs hasn't signed his franchise tag, so technically he's
not even on the roster right So he's not even
he can't get fined because he hasn't signed it yet.
Tony Pollard and the Cowboys have been according to Jeremy Fowler,
moments before we went on the air, reported that the
Cowboys and Pollard will not reach a deal by Monday's deadline,

(01:25:38):
and so he'll play on the franchise tag, which is
due ten point one mil.

Speaker 4 (01:25:42):
And I mentioned I mentioned Arnie.

Speaker 3 (01:25:46):
The other potential holdout, maybe at Chris Jones after seeing
Quinn Williams deal. But unfortunately, with the way that the
Kansas City Chiefs have done business, I don't anticipate them
in any way, shape or form allowing this to drag
out at all, especially with how good Chris Jones has
been over the last couple of years.

Speaker 2 (01:26:05):
Right, that was Williams getting that type of money, what
was it ninety six million or.

Speaker 4 (01:26:10):
Something like that?

Speaker 3 (01:26:11):
Yeah, paid, man, Yeah, absolutely pay.

Speaker 2 (01:26:14):
It was something absolutely insane. Certainly that running back Bundy,
that's for sure. Chris forget about that. But yeah, no,
you're right about that. I don't anticipate that either, So
I don't know, I think that's gonna be much of
a problem.

Speaker 3 (01:26:27):
Four year, ninety six million dollars extention the second highest
average paid defensive tackle in NFL.

Speaker 4 (01:26:34):
Nice history.

Speaker 3 (01:26:35):
Oh, also, Joe Mixon took a pay cut on big
pay cut with the Bengals. Yeah, so that that was
another big story as far as contracts are concerned. But
we're slowly but surely, Arnie, getting to the point where
we're not arguing or fighting about contracts. We'll be able
to argue and fight over how guys look in camp.

Speaker 2 (01:26:56):
By the way, our producer, I guess we do have
a producer, which is a shock to me.

Speaker 4 (01:27:01):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 2 (01:27:02):
How old have we had a producer?

Speaker 3 (01:27:04):
Don't don't do that, dude the whole time show. Why
do you disrespect everyone that works on this show.

Speaker 6 (01:27:09):
He's never heard of you either, I'm guessing.

Speaker 2 (01:27:11):
Wow, look this guy with Chris Plank lookiget ye.

Speaker 4 (01:27:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:27:17):
I think the Dolphins' best odds to win a Super
Bowl was twenty fifteen, twenty sixteen, but does actually the
second best odds.

Speaker 4 (01:27:26):
So I was I was called, So there you go.
You're close the second best odds ever. So there you go.

Speaker 3 (01:27:30):
Yeah, and yeah, Brandon, great job in digging that up.
Appreciate I don't know how you've moved this is his name?
What's our producers? Don't don't be like that. Man, give
credit to the guy he grinds on the show. I'm
kidding on the show.

Speaker 2 (01:27:41):
When you're new, when you're new on the show.

Speaker 4 (01:27:43):
How old has he been on the show? On the show,
how old has he been? Three months?

Speaker 2 (01:27:46):
Okay, then when did you be here? Three years?

Speaker 4 (01:27:48):
I'll know your name. You still will laugh like you
don't know who he is? All right?

Speaker 3 (01:27:53):
Well, anyway, there's there's a couple of NFL notes that
we've been diving into today. So Twitter has been where
we've been react, acting and responding to you, and it's
been good. It's been a busy day on Twitter dot com.
At Stinkingenius one, I'm at plank seawana d Go ahead.

Speaker 4 (01:28:07):
You didn't get it? Well, I mean, what about Roman
numeral number five? I don't have your sheet in front
of me. Go ahead.

Speaker 2 (01:28:13):
There were about the Winfield saying he wouldn't be surprised
if they've already reached out to the number five a
few times.

Speaker 4 (01:28:20):
You know what I mean? Number five? Dave Winfield? What
is Dave Winfield? I did say, I did say number five.
I say, Dave.

Speaker 3 (01:28:27):
Winfield, you just said Winfield.

Speaker 2 (01:28:31):
Yeah. Yeah, So I mean, Geez, I told you for
a long time now that don't don't end that career,
don't end Tom Brady's career so fast, and you thought
I was nuts.

Speaker 4 (01:28:42):
Well now now now.

Speaker 2 (01:28:43):
You're starting to see some some rumors coming out there.

Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
Okay, Oh you didn't like that. That's I just hat
number five. You you Roman numeral five? He got m
numeral five, Shady Sean. Don't you ever number five for
going to Twitter. I try to go to Twitter so
often on this show. Okay, okay, and this is why,
this is why I beg listen breaking down the fourth
wall again. I'm like, Arnie, just drive the third and

(01:29:09):
fourth segments of the show. I'll do the first two,
you do the third and fourth, and that way you
can get to all your Roman numerals that you want.
But I mean, Antoine Winfield Junior comes out and says,
I'm sure we'll still we're still trying to reach out
to him, trying to see if he's trying to come
back to the team. Hey, it could happen. Anything's possible. Yeah, naha, gotcha.

(01:29:31):
Go Shoja shows you that, right, Yeah, I mean that
sounds like he's like in camp. Are you sure they
don't have a locker for him? But that's what I
have him back in Tampa instead of the Raiders. I mean,
I thought he was coming back to the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (01:29:44):
I could tell you're being sarcastic.

Speaker 3 (01:29:46):
I'm I can tell you you shent me this story
and it's on Pro Football Talk dot com from so
it must be real.

Speaker 4 (01:29:55):
But the Bucks have his rights.

Speaker 3 (01:29:58):
They have thirty five billion dollars in dead cap money
for Brady, whether he's on the team or not. And
if he's trying to buy the Raiders, that's.

Speaker 2 (01:30:06):
Not going to go through in the next owners meeting.

Speaker 3 (01:30:08):
By the way, it's not no, there you go. Then
you got another isn't it this week? Opportunity?

Speaker 4 (01:30:14):
Yeah? Why is it not going to go through? I
don't have an answer to that. I just heard.

Speaker 2 (01:30:20):
I just heard that it's not gonna be able to
go through in time on the next owners meeting.

Speaker 6 (01:30:23):
So I thought Antoine said anything's possible.

Speaker 4 (01:30:26):
Anything here.

Speaker 2 (01:30:27):
Yeah, So I mean Arnie and Edwin, that might be
the new show, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:30:32):
I will say the most intriguing thing in all of this, Arnie,
was that you could if you went to the Tampa
Basebak years shop.

Speaker 4 (01:30:42):
That's a great cut.

Speaker 3 (01:30:43):
There's a there's actually a Tom Brady creamsicle jersey that
you can buy.

Speaker 4 (01:30:47):
Really yeah, yeah, they.

Speaker 3 (01:30:50):
Just announced that the creamsickle jersey's the creamsicle color scheme
is back this year for Tampa, which it's it's funny,
it looks great, but oh what an awful era of
Bucks football. They were just a terrible football team when
they wore the cream sickles. And of the jerseys that
are being marketed right now, you got Mike Evans, you

(01:31:11):
got Videvea, and you got Tom.

Speaker 6 (01:31:13):
Brady, Steve Spurrier. No, Steve Spurrier jersey.

Speaker 3 (01:31:16):
I'm still looking. They do have a Baker Mayfield Avante David.
There's a Derek Brooks on here too. Maybe Dark Brooks
is coming back too, to the Tampa Bay.

Speaker 6 (01:31:24):
By the way, Leroy Salman was still in that era with.

Speaker 4 (01:31:27):
That's right, yeah there you go. So okay, Well, since
since you've let us down this road, Arnie, that's my father.
Are you buying? Are you buying that he's gonna play again?

Speaker 2 (01:31:37):
Yes, I'm I am buying one. I don't think he's
walking away. And if I put myself in top Brady's shoes.
And I know that's tough because, well, the only thing
we got that are equals our looks. But if I'm
gonna put myself in top Brady's shoes, I'm a good
looking guy. I'm single right now. I know you want
to spend more time with your kids. But in case

(01:31:59):
you didn't know this, and he might not know this,
I'm breaking news to Tom. Your kids go to school,
They're not gonna be home to like four or five o'clock.
They got after school activities and stuff like that. So
you know, you gotta have to keep your days pretty busy.
I think he's gonna go back to football. Why wouldn't
you want to go back to football.

Speaker 3 (01:32:16):
Well, it sounds to me like he's keeping his days
pretty busy, right, ownership part ownership of the Raiders, Yeah,
gonna be involved in that. He's got several business entities.
Is gonna do the TV thing?

Speaker 4 (01:32:27):
We think?

Speaker 3 (01:32:28):
I know he's taking a gap year. I feel like
I see him at a lot of high profile events.
Loving life.

Speaker 2 (01:32:34):
I mean like, yeah, those parties, is that what you're
talking about?

Speaker 4 (01:32:38):
Sure? Absolutely? Why not?

Speaker 2 (01:32:40):
Well, you can still go to parties, by the way
if he wants to spend more time with his kids,
how did he take the kids to the party too,
or that wasn't part of the deal.

Speaker 4 (01:32:47):
I don't know. I mean, you can still spend time
with your kids and go enjoy yourself.

Speaker 2 (01:32:51):
Well, you can still spend time with your kids and
go back to playing football too, I guess, is what
I meant.

Speaker 3 (01:32:55):
I don't I don't know if that's gonna be the
case with Brady's you. I don't think you ever think
dudes ever retire. I'm sure that you're still sold to
Barry Sanders might come back and play next year. And
I'm a little bit disappointed that where you know, two
and a half hours into the show, and you haven't
brought up the possibility up Andrew Luck coming back this
year too.

Speaker 2 (01:33:15):
Hey, Torell Owen said he could come back.

Speaker 4 (01:33:17):
That's right, Yeah, if you were, if I were to.

Speaker 2 (01:33:21):
Ben Roethlisberger wanted to come back.

Speaker 4 (01:33:23):
All right, so you're said he's coming back.

Speaker 3 (01:33:25):
Philip River, Philip Rivers, though Philip Rivers, Philip Rivers and
Drew Brees both and Ben Roethlisberger all three allegedly tried
to come back last year. But again, I don't know
if that's whenever people realize there's not much going on.
Sometimes when we get to Wednesday of game weeks, you're like,
we need some content around here. Someone make up of

(01:33:45):
Ben Roethlisberger.

Speaker 6 (01:33:46):
Remember, Philip Rivers got another kid to come home to.

Speaker 2 (01:33:48):
Right, so you might have to go back to work.

Speaker 4 (01:33:50):
They got number ten, They got umber ten on the way.

Speaker 2 (01:33:52):
More likely to play in the NFL. Tom Brady or
Colin Kaepernick, Well, neither.

Speaker 3 (01:33:57):
I think right now. But if you're gonna put up possible,
I would take Tom Brady on that front. But okay,
well then let me one more question on this, one
more question. If he's coming back, then who is he
playing for? And when does he come back.

Speaker 2 (01:34:14):
If he comes back, he's going to play for Tampa.
And you'll hear about it, like within the next week
as they get ready for training camp, about a week
or or ten days that that's.

Speaker 4 (01:34:27):
We'll have to go back.

Speaker 2 (01:34:28):
He'll see if he has a change of heart, and
they'll get him in the camp and maybe they'll just
you know, give him Mike a week or two and
he'll be ready to play. But other than that, I
don't think he could play anywhere else.

Speaker 4 (01:34:39):
I think he's done. I think he's out.

Speaker 3 (01:34:42):
I think there was I'm sure that there were moments
during this offseason where it's like.

Speaker 4 (01:34:46):
Dang man, I could still play. Oh, but I think
he's done.

Speaker 3 (01:34:49):
I think he would have said something by now, because
I would think that he would want to be part
of the full camp. To me, Tom Brady is one
of those dudes. He's only in if he's all in.
And I don't think, as easy as it sounds for
you and me to say it, I don't think he's
just a guy that is like a couple weeks into camp,
here I come.

Speaker 4 (01:35:06):
I'm coming back.

Speaker 2 (01:35:07):
I miss me, so I've got through. I gotta go back.

Speaker 3 (01:35:10):
I don't think anyone says that about missing camp, but
the way camp is now.

Speaker 4 (01:35:14):
Maybe they do. All right, so easy I know. I
promise we'll.

Speaker 3 (01:35:18):
Get to tweets next, unless Arnie wants to talk about
Roman Numeral six or Roman Numeral seven, which could be next.

Plank on Fox Sports Radio number six. All right, it's
already in Plank on a Fox Sports Sunday coming to

Speaker 2 (01:35:54):
I feel better now, I feel better now?

Speaker 4 (01:35:56):
Why is that?

Speaker 8 (01:35:57):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:35:58):
You know I was hungry, you know, like the Snicker's commercials.

Speaker 4 (01:36:00):
So I went up.

Speaker 2 (01:36:01):
I went up to the cafeteria, a little cheesecake. Oh,
cheese dayish you mean your do you mean your kitchen? Yes,
my kitchen had uh had a little cheese Danish.

Speaker 4 (01:36:10):
And now I feel much my cheese Danish from seven eleven?
Is that what it was? I will say I did.

Speaker 3 (01:36:17):
I did get sucked in because I was looking at
your your rundown here that you would sent us, and
I feel like you're holding off on Roman numeral three
for your picks, right with Treki number three kill Yeah,
that's gonna be for my for my pick.

Speaker 4 (01:36:32):
Second.

Speaker 3 (01:36:33):
But I but I also was intrigued by Roman numeral
seven because you're pack twelve to big twelve percentages. That's eight,
you know, number seven, number eight well, no, that's your
that's your handwriting, dude, is what it is?

Speaker 2 (01:36:46):
Well, the I I I V I I I.

Speaker 4 (01:36:49):
Means a put the number.

Speaker 3 (01:36:50):
I understand that, but I mean it's it's it's just
use numbers. I'm never gonna look at this thing again
until you start using numbers.

Speaker 4 (01:36:58):
I'm just telling you right now.

Speaker 2 (01:37:00):
We should print it for the audience so they could
follow along as we go.

Speaker 4 (01:37:04):
No, because I don't follow it.

Speaker 3 (01:37:06):
Twenty eight point six percent for Colorado and twenty percent
for Arizona.

Speaker 4 (01:37:10):
To go we're in the Pac twelve to the Big two.
Where do you come up with twenty eight point six percent?

Speaker 8 (01:37:16):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:37:16):
Well, I took what I did?

Speaker 1 (01:37:18):
Was?

Speaker 4 (01:37:18):
I took the math? Right right? Show your work?

Speaker 2 (01:37:21):
What did you think I did the math myself? What's
wrong with you?

Speaker 4 (01:37:24):
I'm just asking where you got that number from.

Speaker 3 (01:37:26):
It seems like a pretty odd number, And as confident
as you seem in this happening, that seems to be
a really low percentage.

Speaker 2 (01:37:35):
Really, you think that's low of those two teams going
to the to the Big twelve, that's seem below to you.

Speaker 3 (01:37:41):
Well, as confident as you seem about it, based on
you reading Big Game boomer and sending me everything that
other people say.

Speaker 4 (01:37:48):
About sorrys that he made it up.

Speaker 2 (01:37:50):
No, I said that I didn't make up twenty like
I'm just gonna go, okay, twenty eight points because I
took it from somebody's tweet.

Speaker 4 (01:37:57):
Okay, well, like where is here? So let's see here?

Speaker 2 (01:38:02):
Oh my god, I think these guys put a percentage
that I know exactly I have, right, Jim Williams put
it out.

Speaker 4 (01:38:10):
Jim Williams, you gotta remember, man, this is what my
phone looks like. It says.

Speaker 2 (01:38:15):
Colorado's the leader at twenty eight point six percent chance
of moving, followed by Arizona at twenty percent. Arizona State
and Utah after that are tied in seven point seven percent.

Speaker 4 (01:38:28):
Yeah, there's this dome.

Speaker 3 (01:38:31):
I mean just because if you think they're gonna go,
and if they're on their way to a conference other
than the one they're in, I don't think I would
be having it at twenty percent. I think it'd be
having it at sixty or seventy or eighty percent at
this point. To me, if I saw that, I'd be like, yeah,
they ain't going to the pack from the Pac twelve
to the Big twelve. I don't think Arizona's in this
mix anymore. I think Colorado is the only Pack twelve

(01:38:53):
team that has a chance. I think the Big twelves
add in Yukon, right, and if Colorado wants to come,
that's it.

Speaker 4 (01:38:59):
That's such a waste.

Speaker 2 (01:39:00):
What an embarrassment they've taken u con to the Big
twelve that that doesn't fit in at all.

Speaker 4 (01:39:06):
That's just terrible. You uh, you dogging on the defeating
national champs in basketball.

Speaker 2 (01:39:13):
Yeah, first of all, the geography of it all.

Speaker 3 (01:39:16):
And oh they've West Virginia is in the Big twelve.
Geography does not matter in conference re alignment. That doesn't
mean you have to make it worse, Chris, exactly. Come
on now, well it's it's not going to get any easier.
USC and UCLA are in the same conference as Rutgers.

Speaker 2 (01:39:32):
Well, and that's what the Big Ten wants. That's different.
But the Big twelve, and besides, they're not known as
a football power like an Arizona is.

Speaker 3 (01:39:40):
Well, they've they've been better the last couple of years
of football in Arizona.

Speaker 4 (01:39:44):
Has Yeah, not this year, that's for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:39:47):
So twenty six percent is our twenty percent is how
you're feeling now about your team.

Speaker 2 (01:39:54):
I just don't for that guy's tweet. I didn't do
the math myself. For all I know, it's twenty two percent.

Speaker 4 (01:39:59):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:40:00):
Y'all wonder why I don't look at the rundown that
he sends us. It's like, could you get that number?

Speaker 4 (01:40:03):
I don't know. It just such a story. He gonna
read this story. It was like I was making up
the math myself for no. No, no, you know, Okay again,
I'm just letting this all out on the air.

Speaker 3 (01:40:14):
You send the rundown and then like four days earlier,
you might have sent a tweet of the eighty six
other tweets that you sent my phone.

Speaker 2 (01:40:20):
Okay, so just keep them in there. Don't erase him.

Speaker 4 (01:40:24):
I don't erase them.

Speaker 3 (01:40:25):
They get lost and all of the other ones that
are stupid lists from Big Game Boomer or something like that.

Speaker 4 (01:40:31):
See again, trying to get to Twitter, aren't you always doing?

Speaker 3 (01:40:34):
I'm trying, guys, I'm trying to get there at stinking
Genius wanted Plank show. Good point by Steve off Twitter
when we were talking about the return of the Cream Sickles,
Jimmy Giles, Ricky Bell, James Wilder, Kevin Howse, Doug Williams,
Doug Williams, dude, I love my neighbor. We would play.

(01:40:55):
We had a play called the Jimmy Giles and I
don't even know if we'd ever seen Jimmy Giles play
football the pros. He just played at Missouri is where
Titan would go and they turn across the middle and
they'd fall down your throat while they were falling down.

Speaker 4 (01:41:06):
But Jimmy Giles, Arnie, it never not worked.

Speaker 3 (01:41:10):
Scotty writes, are we forgetting that the Titans played for
the division and a playoff spot despite being incredibly awful
down the stretch last season?

Speaker 4 (01:41:20):
No, we're not forgetting.

Speaker 3 (01:41:21):
We're pointing out how incredibly awful that division was, and
the only reason they were playing for a division for
a spot of the playoffs is because they were in
that incredibly crappy division.

Speaker 2 (01:41:29):
I don't think anybody put that they were. They minus
sixty one in point differential there. That's pretty good and
it's funny. It's funny Titan fans. I love y'all, but
you hate Ryan Tannehill until him being hurt fits your narrative. Well,
you know, our quarterback was out for a couple of games,
So I mean, that's the reality of it.

Speaker 3 (01:41:50):
Scotty, by the way, don't worry about your tights. You're
gonna be fine with your valls and their soft ass
schedule this year. You'll be okay until Georgia comes to
Knoxville and beat you by fifty nature boy, right, You'll
never believe what I saw in an NBA Summer League game.

Speaker 4 (01:42:03):
Guys. One of the power forwards was my pizza delivery
guy mL times.

Speaker 3 (01:42:10):
If Summer League is twenty percent of the NBA, then
Arnie's rec league is zero point two percent.

Speaker 4 (01:42:16):
Okay, close, I'll take that. I'll take the point two percent.

Speaker 3 (01:42:18):
I'll do that, and our buddy Jason B. Diamond rights
my faith level in the Raiders. They will start zero
to fourteen. Then they'll somehow win three in a row
to lose the number one pick in the drafts like them.

Speaker 2 (01:42:29):
Sounds like the Raiders.

Speaker 4 (01:42:30):
I agree with that one.

Speaker 3 (01:42:31):
That's what your boys did, That's what the Dolphins did.
You can have Trevor Lawrence right now, but no, no,
you're better off with two.

Speaker 4 (01:42:38):
Yeah, much better off.

Speaker 3 (01:42:41):
Here Randy writes, what do you guys think about Peter
Skronsky and any part he may have played in northwesterns hazing.
He's gonna be asked the question Skronsky, first round pick,
right tackle for Northwestern now a Titan.

Speaker 4 (01:42:55):
He's gonna be asked the questions.

Speaker 3 (01:42:57):
He won't, but he's gonna be asked, and some reporters
going to snoop around and find out what if any involvement.

Speaker 4 (01:43:04):
Interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:43:05):
We haven't talked about that yet here tonight, and I
know it's a it was a week ago. We had
a chance to talk about it a little bit yesterday.
But you had a ton of fallout from this, right
You haven't heard any players in the portal yet. You
get thirty days after a coach leaves, or at least
haven't seen any yet.

Speaker 4 (01:43:19):
They've lost a few recruits that have been committed.

Speaker 3 (01:43:21):
It's a tough time to try to change schools because
I mean, you practice to start here in like two weeks, right, right,
But I can't help but wonder what that is gonna
what the fallout is going to be for some of
the guys that went to Northwestern and are now on
NFL rosters.

Speaker 4 (01:43:36):
That's a really good question.

Speaker 2 (01:43:37):
Yeah, I'm not sure how that's going to play out.
All things just terrible, you know what I mean. You
don't expect to still hear that, still hear stuff like
that in twenty twenty three and then their baseball program
fire their coach. Yeah, fire their coach. So obviously things
out looking real well at Northwestern.

Speaker 3 (01:43:54):
All Right, we got some good tweets to continue to
get to keep them rolling at Steinking Genius one at
Plank show everyone and give us a follow at Fox
Sports Radio. But first or one final time tonight, Steve
Sager is in the house with what's trending?

Speaker 4 (01:44:06):
What's going on? Steve.

Speaker 6 (01:44:07):
I don't know if you saw any of the celebrity
golf at Lake Tahoe this weekend. Steph Curry won it
fortunately yes eagle putt on the eighteenth holl the hole
in one yesterday, the incredible putt before that. He was
a one man viral video for the weekend. So there
are about ninety golfers this weekend. Baker Mayfield was down
to seventy ninth place after being one of the worst

(01:44:28):
today in the final round. Charles Barkley loved his round
of golf today, so he finished eighty first out of
how many out of how many ninety two.

Speaker 2 (01:44:38):
Okay, that's not bad. Usually he's dead last.

Speaker 6 (01:44:40):
Yeah, exactly, So he's getting so much better. Also in
the bottom ten Jim McMahon, Mike Golick, DeMarcus, where Kyle
Rudolph and basketball Zach Levine tied for eighty ninth. The
miz was down near the bottom.

Speaker 2 (01:44:54):
What are they shooting as their like? What's their score? Like?

Speaker 6 (01:44:57):
You get a point, if it's a part, you get
more points. It's you know, two under par for the
hole and so forth. So you had going into the round.
I think Steph Curry had fifty points total the first
couple of days, and guys that were bad had minus
thirty five, like Berkley for the first couple of days.
You can get minus and not in a good way

(01:45:18):
in this golf. Aaron Rodgers finished fifth place, just ahead
of Anica Sorenstin. Defending champion was Tony Romo. He came
in eighth place. John Elway tied for ninth.

Speaker 4 (01:45:28):
At Lake Tahoe where was Rick Rowe didn't he kick
button this thing?

Speaker 6 (01:45:31):
Or what he usually did? I think I saw Derek
Lowe was usually in the John Smolts was tied for
tenth Steph's dad, Del Curry finished eleventh place, so not
too bad. Carlos Alcarez won the Wimbledon final over Novak
Djokovic in five sets, six to four in the fifth.
Djokovic hadn't lost a match at Wimbledon since twenty seventeen.
He's won seventh titles there overall. And this is the

(01:45:53):
guy who won the first two majors already this tennis year.
Won the Australian Open, won the French Open, won the
first set six to one. Today, did not take the crown.
Djokovic was close to taking the two sets to none lead,
but lost a tie break. He had won last fifteen
tie breaks in a row in Grand Slam events, but Alcarez,
the twenty year old kid ranked number one, got him.

(01:46:14):
If Djokovic had won today, this would have been his
fifth straight Wimbledon title that would have tied the record.
This would have been his eighth overall title there, tying
the record. This would have been his twenty fourth career
major victory, tying the record. Instead, in five, Alcarez takes it.
Rory McElroy won the Scottish Open by one stroke. British
Open starts Thursday in Liverpool. Tennessee Titans are expected to

(01:46:37):
sign wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to a two year deal.
By the way, the Titan Stadium is going to be
hosting the Tennessee balls opener this year Tennessee and Virginia.
September second, Jaguars gave tight end Evan Ingram a three
year contract. Tomorrow is the deadline for franchise tag players
to work out a contract extension. NASCAR's race was postponed
to tomorrow due to bad weather in New Hampshire. It'll

(01:46:59):
be sunny there on mine. Defending champion Christopher Bell will
start from the poll. Fox TV had the Gold Cup
Final in soccer tonight, a sold out ram Stadium in
La seventy three thousand, Mexico on a late goal, won
nothing over Panama. And baseball Sunday night game, another wild
one in Anaheim and another Angel loss. They're forty six
and forty eight, four runs top of the ninth for Houston,

(01:47:20):
they held on nine to eight. Sho hey Otani in
the bottom of the ninth hit a solo homer, his
thirty fourth that leads the major leagues, but the Angels
gave up five home runs in the last three innings
of this one, four hits a piece for Alex Bragman
and Kyle Tucker of Houston. Each of them homered in
the ninth, and Tucker had the diving catch in right
field to end the game. Philadelphia in twelve innings beat

(01:47:43):
the Padres. Yesterday I swept the Padres in a doubleheader.
Mets in ten edged the Dodgers two to one. There
was a rain delay at the start there nearly four hours.
San Francisco won its fifth game in a row, a
ten inning win at Pittsburgh, so the Giants just a
game and a half back at first place LA in
the NLS. San Francisco is now at Cincinnati and the
Reds have lost four in a row. There are two

(01:48:04):
games back in Milwaukee and the ale Central. The Brewers
got two runs top of the eighth one four to
three at Cincinnati. Baltimore won it's eighth straight game. It
was five to nothing against Miami going to the ninth
five to four the final. Luis Ariaz of the Marlins
wentzero for five at the plate. Is batting average down
to three point eighty a round?

Speaker 4 (01:48:21):
Forget that?

Speaker 6 (01:48:22):
Yeah, there's no four hundred here to make up? Here
the final few months. Ariah's lined out to end the
game after Miami had scored four runs in the top
of the ninth. Kansas City's record is up to twenty
seven and sixty seven. They beat Tampa Bay eight to four.
Catch your Salvador Perez, though has a strained hamstring. White
Sox won at Atlanta eight to one. Luis Robert four hits,

(01:48:43):
including his twenty seventh homer victories for Toronto and Seattle,
Colorado with two homers in the eleventh, beat the Yankees
eight to seven, Saint Louis and Boston with wins. That
Boston victory over the Cubs was it was an eleven
nothing lead in the eighth, eleven to five to the
final and they beat the Cubs Justin Steele, who was
nine and two. Mastaki Yoshida Boston a grand slam and

(01:49:03):
a two run triple, and finally, the standings in the
Al Central, the first place Twins are now forty eight
and forty six, two and a half games over the Guardians.
Because Cleveland lost its fourth straight lost six to five
at Texas, Rangers scored four times. Spottom of the eighth
Minnesota was in Oakland this weekend, so they went again today,
five to four. The A's have lost seven straight. As
we mentioned earlier, the A's record twenty five and seventy

(01:49:26):
attendance was nine thousand and three thirty five in Oakland.

Speaker 3 (01:49:30):
Back to you, unreal, Steve, have a great week, buddy.
Can't wait till next Sunday?

Speaker 4 (01:49:34):
Steve? Actually I kind of can, but you know, wow,
enjoy the week? Why do you want to enjoy the week?

Speaker 8 (01:49:39):
Man?

Speaker 3 (01:49:40):
We I have a few free weeks before we get
crazy in football. I mean, I'm not acting like I
don't know the people that work.

Speaker 4 (01:49:46):
Off the show. I'm just saying I'm in no rush
to get to next Sunday.

Speaker 3 (01:49:49):
Could this Alcarez, this Carlos Alcarez be that star that
tennis needs? And listen, they've got Federer, you know, obviously
we in Jokovic has become incredibly controversial in some ways
because of his views on the on the jab and
how he kind of felt about Covid right.

Speaker 4 (01:50:08):
And be a jerk on the court like that very
much so. Raphael and a doll.

Speaker 3 (01:50:14):
You've had some stars, but Federer retires and the doll's
not what he once was.

Speaker 4 (01:50:18):
Jins.

Speaker 3 (01:50:19):
Could we have that dude in al Karez. Now he's
only twenty and he's won a couple of majors already.

Speaker 2 (01:50:24):
Well down six to one, I mean, I have to
lose the first set six to one. You thought that, well,
he was just gonna get blown out, or maybe it
was gonna go four sets.

Speaker 4 (01:50:31):
But he fought back.

Speaker 2 (01:50:32):
He had he was doing drop shots all over the place,
especially in the fifth set. Man, he just had Djokovic
back out of his heels. Man, it was it was
great to see him, man, it was. It was by
the way the majority had felt this way. I don't
have a fact on that, but the majority of the
people there seemed like they were rooting for him, you
know what I mean, They were really good.

Speaker 6 (01:50:52):
Only because it's a good story. I think of the
big three in men's tennis history, you mentioned Federer and
Nadal and Djokovic, who's been spectacular. Of those three, clearly
Novak Djokovic is the least beloved.

Speaker 3 (01:51:05):
It's fascinating to see how many people were glued to
this today, right, and hopefully it means good things for
the future.

Speaker 6 (01:51:14):
My question is, Okay, this week in Sports TV, we
had at six am Pacific time, this tennis match which
turned out to be a classic, and you had in
prime time the SB Awards. What had a better audience
this week?

Speaker 4 (01:51:28):
The SPS?

Speaker 6 (01:51:29):
That'd be curious. We don't know the tennis ratings yet
from today, but I'm saying something at six am might
outdo a prime time Oh I.

Speaker 4 (01:51:38):
Hope you're right again. We all knew Lebron was coming back, right.

Speaker 6 (01:51:44):
Yes, we didn't need that whole We're lucky anyway, apparently.

Speaker 2 (01:51:48):
I guess, thank god he's coming back. Thank goodness.

Speaker 8 (01:51:51):
Is that?

Speaker 2 (01:51:51):
Do you like that?

Speaker 4 (01:51:52):
You guys?

Speaker 3 (01:51:53):
I mean, it's the cringiest thing on the planet to me.
I'm just like, if you gotta have awards, we don't
need musical acts. We don't need to get preached to.
I just you know, tell me how your year went,
get the award and say say bye. I don't need jokes.
I just let's go congratulations. You've created something that people
care about. Right, But oh, that's a hard awards show

(01:52:14):
to watch, all right, let me get us some tweets here.
I don't want to get off on that at stink
Ingenius want them at Plank Show. Brendan, we were talking
about the Raiders and Caleb Williams. Brendan writes, the Raiders
won't make the playoffs, but they won't be as bad
as media hacks are making them out to be, thus
destroying our chances of landing Caleb Williams in the process.

Speaker 2 (01:52:33):
Yeah, that would bother the hell out of you if
that happened.

Speaker 4 (01:52:36):
They're gonna be bad. Just be bad. If you're gonna
be bad, just embrace it.

Speaker 3 (01:52:39):
Now, Max Crosby is one of the better edge rushers,
maybe one of the best defensive players in the NFL.
So if Chandler Jones is somewhat more than just a
shell of his former cell and Tyree Wilson can be something,
they might be better defensively. In fact, I think they're
gonna be better defensively, but I don't know about a

(01:53:00):
back and receiver outside and Vante Adams.

Speaker 4 (01:53:03):
But we'll see.

Speaker 3 (01:53:03):
I want to have hope, Brendan. I do, But Arnie,
I think they'll even screw up if they do try
to tank this year.

Speaker 2 (01:53:09):
It all starts with what they're gonna do with Jacobs,
So we'll see if he ends up on the team,
gets in camp trading him, I don't know how that's
going to play.

Speaker 3 (01:53:17):
Out, and then Brad and lost wages before we get
our final timeout, asks wondering if either of you have
seen Quarterback on Netflix yet.

Speaker 4 (01:53:25):
I can't say. I'm a huge fan of shows like
Hard Knocks and the like.

Speaker 3 (01:53:29):
However, this show does highlight how absolutely important a top
tier quarterback really is.

Speaker 4 (01:53:35):
Have you watched it yet? No, I've not seen it.
Have you seen any of you? That's good? It's really good.

Speaker 3 (01:53:39):
Man. Speaking of Max Crosby, he helped fire up Patrick Mahomes.
It's wild how likable Patrick Mahomes is and how everyone
around him is so unlikable, like his brother and his sister.
I'm sorry, his sister, his wife. I mean, they're just
they're very obnoxious. And I haven't seen a ton of

(01:53:59):
Jackson in this so are But you like Kirk Cousins.
He's very likable dude so far, and so with Mariota.
So I don't know, man, I I think he's right.
You need a top tier quarterback. We're talking about tanking
to try to get Kayleb Williams or Drake May just
to compete with some of the best guys, and we
don't know, Arnie, how their games are going to truly
relate to the NFL.

Speaker 4 (01:54:19):
That's how important we think. You You love Williams, do
you think he's you think he's great? I do, I do,
But I also I loved Kyler Murray. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:54:28):
I also love Jamis Winston. I also loved Marcus Mariota.
I don't know they have truly become franchise guys.

Speaker 2 (01:54:35):
By the way, just just back it up to one
topic that the SEGA brought up about the TV ratings
real quick before we move on. One thing I want
to watch and I don't even know when the hell
it is.

Speaker 4 (01:54:45):
How about that?

Speaker 2 (01:54:47):
But I think with everybody else, I'm talking about Messi's first.

Speaker 3 (01:54:52):
Game Apple TV plus Baby, Oh is that what it's
going to be on? Is MLS has an exclusive deal
with Apple TV plus the song would have to dig
that up there, You got are illegally streaming. I know
his first game is not even gonna be in the MLS.
It's in this thing called League's Cup, which is like
between the MLS and Mexican's lega MX.

Speaker 4 (01:55:10):
Oh so I'm not even so. I think I think
it'll still be on TV, but it'll be He'll be
able to find it, Arnie.

Speaker 3 (01:55:16):
Everything is on TV now now I watched your rect
League game tench I mean everything's on TV. Arnie's picks.
Wrap up this edition of Arnie and Plank. Next on
Fox Sports Radio. All right, Hey, great job tonight, Brandon,
good job, Chris Purfet. Awesome is always on. Updates by
Steve Sager and the millions and millions of editors behind
the scenes who helped make today's Progressive play of the

(01:55:39):
day possible.

Speaker 4 (01:55:40):
What a finish between the Angels and the Astros. First
pitch to Thie and that is back toward right field.
Coming over is Tucker. He dies and he bangs the catch.

Speaker 3 (01:55:52):
Kyle Tucker saves the game with a headlong tiving catch
and right center field, and the Astros hold on for
the ninety eight. Anahi Otani hit a home run in
the night to cut it to a one run game.
The Angels would have won the game if that ball
gets down. Instead, they fall to the Astros, And that
was the Progressive play of the day. Progressive makes bundling

(01:56:15):
easy and affordable. Get a multi policy discount by combining
your motorcycle, or if you vote atv and more, all
your protection in one place, bundle and save at Progressive
Dot com Arnie Span you'd take it away with your picks.

Speaker 4 (01:56:27):
Where are we going?

Speaker 2 (01:56:28):
Let's go give me a little music, put me in
the mood. Remember last week I told you al Corez
was going to win Wimbledon. So I'm on a roll,
my friend. I'm I'm just tearing it up.

Speaker 4 (01:56:38):
So I don't even know if you mentioned Wimbledon last
week in your picks. Maybe I did it two weeks
ago then maybe.

Speaker 2 (01:56:44):
So all right, Tyreek Hill says he's gonna go ahead
to have two thousand receiving yards. Guess what he's gonna
do it. He's gonna have the two thousand yards. I
think the record is what nineteen sixty or something like
that by Calvin Johnson.

Speaker 4 (01:56:58):
But he'll do it.

Speaker 2 (01:56:59):
This is gonna be a just a tremendous year for
TUA and the Dolphins and Tyreek Hill.

Speaker 3 (01:57:05):
So you're saying that for the first time in the
history of the National Football League.

Speaker 2 (01:57:09):
Yes, yes, okay, Yes, that's what I'm saying. How many
other people are saying that other than me and Tyreek Hill?

Speaker 4 (01:57:17):
Yeah? Not many.

Speaker 2 (01:57:18):
Dalvin Cook will be signed by the Miami Dolphins, by
the way, so you can put that in the book.
Congratulations to the Dodgers. You will get shoe a Otani,
There's no doubt in my mind. Will cost you a
king's ransom. You'll end up signing him and you'll have
him for the next gazillion years and he'll just crush it.

Speaker 8 (01:57:37):
You got what.

Speaker 2 (01:57:40):
Arizona's gonna go to the Big twelve, by the way,
he like you know that, don't you?

Speaker 4 (01:57:43):
And you say, I don't think they're going to the
Big twelve Army. They are like dad, Dad, sat you're
in at twenty percent.

Speaker 2 (01:57:54):
Say Kawk Barkley will get his deal done before tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (01:57:57):
I changed my mind. I think they'll get it done.
They just have to guarantee more money.

Speaker 2 (01:58:03):
And Tom Brady will come back and play this year
for Tampa.

Speaker 4 (01:58:09):
So there you have my picks. Do with them as
you please.

Speaker 2 (01:58:11):
No longer strictly friends are tabing purposes.

Speaker 3 (01:58:14):
Only you know there's baseball games going on that you
can pick. I mean, you don't have to just pull
stuff out of your backside.

Speaker 2 (01:58:21):
I got that right. It's in the nation of the league.

Speaker 4 (01:58:23):
Did I not or what? I don't think you picked
the national guyause I did.

Speaker 2 (01:58:27):
I said they were going to break the streak.

Speaker 4 (01:58:29):
But then why wouldn't you stay where you're hot. I
don't get it. I'm hot at everything. I don't know
if that's necessarily the truth it is.

Speaker 2 (01:58:38):
We're gonna you know, we'll keep track of my football
picks again this year? Right, every year I pick it
like six.

Speaker 4 (01:58:45):
I don't think that's right, but I do think so.

Speaker 3 (01:58:49):
I'm sure you have the notebook somewhere to prove it
rather if it's right. But I guarantee it's been destroyed
if it's wrong. The problem is you make these outlandish predictions.
Those aren't necessar your picks, right. I mean, you've got
Dalvin Cook signing, You've got Saquon Barkley done by.

Speaker 2 (01:59:07):
Just saying Doalvin Cook is gonna be with the Dolphins?

Speaker 3 (01:59:09):
No, not necessarily, but I just I think you've said
it in your picks every single week for like the
last five weeks. At some point, you know, we got
to freshen up the content. Do I need to give
your writers a raise?

Speaker 4 (01:59:20):
I can't. I just be right.

Speaker 2 (01:59:22):
Do I have to give you the exact time and
day that he's going to sign? Well, I mean it's
one of those to where when you keep saying it
over and over and over. I mean, I keep saying
on Tony he's going to go to the Dodgers. I
don't know the exact day in time though, Come on.

Speaker 3 (01:59:37):
But no, yeah you are, because the trade deadlines August first,
so it's got to happen before then.

Speaker 4 (01:59:41):
Yes, yes, there you go. So I got a deadline
on that. I just I feel like you're mailing in
this last segment.

Speaker 3 (01:59:47):
Wow, I don't feel like you're putting the amount of
work that could be in there for Arnie's picks segment.
I mean, you got the Dodgers and the Orioles starting
a big series tomorrow. Got a lot of really big
things going on Arnie. He's proven wrong very quickly, so
he doesn't want to do it. Yeah, I know that's
You can at least live on this one for a while.
All right, We'll have a safe week, Stinking Genius. We'll
be back to it again next Sunday Night for Brandon,

(02:00:08):
for Profet, for de Seger, for the editors, behind the scenes,
for Arneon Planks, stick around. Big Ben Mallor is coming
up next right here on Fox Sports Radio. Have a
great week, everybody,
