to pick up a lot more starters playing this week.

on some other starters, Cam Smith also rookie second round
guy to South Carolina. I think it's gonna be QB.
Excuse me, c B two the right cornerback when the
season started. So on the first pass either yeah, well
well no, no, no, complete, you're doing an interception.

They ain't doing an interception.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
It's all good though, And then they come right back
on the field and they drive down ninety nine yards
of sticking it in zone. The players are there. It's
just a bad reading, a bad throw. Its preseason is
gonna happen. These teams just practice together for three straight days.
It's not too much you're gonna bring out today that
you didn't already show during the week. That's what we
see in week two because a lot of these teams
that are playing just finished practicing together.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
So but I was pleased with the following drive.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Please with some of the young players and some of
the other veterans, Chubb and Phillips looks unblockable. I got
a crazy future for their total sack numbers for the
two of them, twenty six between the two of them.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
They both had eight and seven respectively last year.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
I think they each add four or five to those
and Vangio system this year with just Wilkins in the
middle Zegler in the million, our defensive line is a
top five line in the league, and we have might
have the best pass rush duo on the ends in
the entire league. It's yet to be seen, but my
prediction is I like twenty five to twenty six sacks
between the two of those gentlemen.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Have an early we J sighting talking about the Miami Dolphins.
Let's move into it now the AFC East Aaron Rodgers
a big story in the AFC East. The Dolphins to it,
you know, and will he be able to stay upright?
And then you know you got Buffalo Stefon Diggs reports
the camp or doesn't report the camp.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
I don't know, I would.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Say as Sean McDermott, but he seems confused about it
as well, at least he did a couple months ago.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
He was like, isn't a big deals. It's not a
big deal. Who really knows?

Speaker 2 (03:26):
So if EJ coming out of the AFC's, what are
you expecting to see out of this division?

Speaker 3 (03:30):
I like the division to be competitive, even though I
always wish for every team other than Miami Dolphins to
tie every game. I don't even want you to lose.
I want you to tie just so you're in the
middle and you still don't know who you are. If
you lose, you just know you're bad. If you win,
you know you're good. When you're tied, you just have
no idea. I wish that could happen for the Bills,
the Patriots and the Bob Mass Jets, but it can't.

(03:51):
So I would like the division to be very competitive.
One thing that I did notice about the division, the
schedule makers didn't match up a lot of division matchups
towards the end of season in the last three weeks
in the AFCAS for some reason. So a lot of
these teams play early. They play often. Bills open up
with the Jets, so you have that game on the
opening weekend. And I think the three best quarterbacks all

(04:14):
the best quarterback of the three is gonna win the division.
Aaron Rodgers is the best quarterback, the Jet's gonna win
a division. If Josh Allen is the best quarterback, the
Bills will win it. And if the Dolphins have two
of being the best quarterback, they'll win the division two.
So to me, this is all quarterback. The receivers all
wash out. I love Waddle and Hill, but I'm not
gonna act like that. Diggs and Davis and Gave. Davis

(04:34):
isn't formidable. I'm not gonna act like that. Jarrett Wilson
but Hill are the classes. Oh if they're the class
of the division. But these other quarterbacks still have weapons
that they can get the ball to. I like Miami
in about twelve and five. I like the Bills at
eleven and six. I like the Jets. I think something
happens with this offensive line. And Aaron Rodgers isn't fooling me.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
I get it. He's being friendly. He's hanging out with
the guys.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
He's going to the Nick games, the Ranger games, the
Yankee games, doing all the New York stuff, showing his face,
talking well, making it sound good. But there's still something
with this team that lost seven of their last eight
last year, fell completely off the earth, and people could say, well,
it's because they didn't have a quarterback. There's other teams
that didn't have a quarterback and they were able to
manage to at least fight towards the playoffs in the
middle towards the end of the season last year. So

(05:17):
I don't want to hear about not having that quarterback.
You shouldn't have drafted him to begin with. You wouldn't
have been in that problem. So I think the offensive
line who Pro Football focus, so you're not a big
fan of I kind of like them a little bit,
but they have them ranked at twenties.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Because it's not based in like actual football reality. Sometimes
like if your stats are telling me that Pro Football
Focus is telling me that, you know, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
I can't even think of a gradies, but pro football.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
Folks not even they're not even stats, their subjective guests
passed off as a stat.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Yeah, it's like and that's what it is. It's like,
it's like we took this one person's.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Grading system and it's like this is the way that
we're now grading things from now on. It's like, no,
I disagree, Like, don't tell me about the guy's QBR.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
You know why, because it's made up. It doesn't exist.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
It's not a real stat, and if you really want
to go back into it, you will remember you never
heard QBR until people are trying to explain how Tim
Tebow was winning football games when he was never Bronco. Again,
it did not exist prior to that. So no, Like,
I'm good with the regular role passer rating, you know
what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
I'm with a few of them.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
Like there's a few, there's a few advanced ones that
are really cool, but it's not I.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Think per attempt is important. I think that's an important one.
But when you watch the games, it can then explain
to you how Kirk Cousins can have the completion percentage
he does versus you know what I'm saying, versus a
guy who like Aaron Rodgers when his MVP season, Kirk
Cousin probably had a higher completion percent of JAM. But
nobody would want Kirk Cousins over Aaron Rodgers in that moment.

(06:49):
I don't know what either one QBR.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Was or their PFF grades, that's true, But what they
do is they get it accurate, though, so people can't
I disagree.

I don't. I disagree.

I don't think it's accurate. Well, here's the thing. If
you go and look at where they have, like an
offensive line rank like they have the.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Like they had the boat like they had the Bills
offensive line ranked in the top three, and then they
would have got pushed around by Sam Hubbard and Trey
Hendrickson in the playoffs, and then everybody's well, PFF didn't
account for the snow. Well, maybe this PFF was damn wrong.
Maybe they were just wrong. And this team in Buffalo
that had not been able to run the ball all year,
whether by design or by choice, now all of a

sudden can't block.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
No kidding, Yeah, I don't like No, I don't like ahead, And.

It's all these freaking nerds who never played football, and
I also never played football. But not it has its place,
it has its importance. However, it is a data point
in the big sea of data points. It's not the
end all be all, it's not the alpha and omega.
But you will see there somebody will be like, oh,
Trevor Penning was ranked third in tackles.

I don't know, maybe never wrong anyway you were saying, done,

It's all the same people who are sitting there talking
about oh who whatever page Jonathan Taylor or Dalvin Cook.
And then there's the same freaking people that retweet Bjohn
Robinson running for seven yards in the preseason, like.

Oh my god, look how smooth he is. You know,
you gota.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
It feels like a good baseline, but there are you're
actually are there are numbers where it's just like, I
don't know how this guy got a ninety today, Like
I don't see your I don't see what you're going for.
I've heard them try to explain these things and it
feels mealy mouthed.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Okay, So as I would say Pro Football Focus has
their offensive line right between twenty five and twenty seven,
I think Dalvin Cook's gonna find out how tough that
offensive line is. And Aaron Rodgers already kind of expressed
about the offensive line in the joint practice, and then
of course after the week goes by, they kind of
blow it over. So I think the Jets fit is third.

(08:56):
And I don't think the Patriots have a quarterback, and
I don't like the team the Zeke signing another older veteran.
I think they whiffed on Devonte Parker. I like Gasicky.
I wish he'd just stayed in Miami. But you're going
to a worst offense, a worst quarterback. You know, just
the system is not going to be the same. They're
not going to just find you and throw the ball
to you all the time like he wanted at Miami
and even getting the attempts at the targets he did

(09:16):
at Miami. So like the Dolphins to win this division
right here. I like the Bills to come up right
behind him and second and then the Jets. I feel
like eight or nine wins are where the Jets are
going to end up in this division.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
For the Jets, it really depends on the tackle play.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
You got mkai Beckton, him and Aaron Rodgers apparently going
to lunch at some point this week, you know, as
they saw on Hard Knocks. But really the big issue
is whether mccai beck is eating lunch or not.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
His knees are going to be an issue.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Then on top of that, on the other side of that, youah,
Dwayne Brown. He's thirty seven, you know, so you can't
have met you know who knows. Wouldn't shock me if
we see Jason Peters, who's come out and say he
wants to play again this season, wouldn't shot me if
we see him around there. That's a lot of older
fellas around around the quarterback. The marek talker is I
think he's I think he's a good player. I think

(10:04):
he's I think he'll be all right. He had his
peck injury. I think he'll be just fine. Tackles concerned me.
But again, when you have a quarterback like Aaron Rodgers,
somebody who's gonna be making quick decisions obstensibly right, you
would imagine make quick decisions you magic get something similar
to what you saw the entire time you in Green Bay.
Might be able to negate some of the tackle issues there.
But I think bigger thing is I'm concerned about the

Buffalo Bills, and I don't I think everybody's kind of
slating Buffalo in as a team that's gonna win this
division or be a wildcard out of this division. The
bigger thing for me is, we've seen how many different
how long is this window supposed to be?

Speaker 1 (10:40):

Like?

How long are.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
They are we saying that Buffalo is going to be
their windows close to win a Super Bowl with it?

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Well, that's the point. Eventually these things fall apart.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Buffalo hasn't necessarily they drafted, okay, but it's not like
they're hitting on crazy picks left, right, and center. Where
you're seeing like a team like the Chiefs. Where they
are hitting it is seemingly on every draft pick that
they make in this time period, that right there will
push that window down even more even more so, I'm
a little worried about Buffalo here, Josh Allen.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
I mean, he's you know, these injuries coming.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
He's incredible, right, but we never speak about how the
durability of Josh Allen is a major key for Buffalo.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
And look, and the other thing is, all right, well,
they're saying they're gonna run him less.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Well he won't run less though they They may not
run him as much, but he will stay tight off
and go.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
But just the thing is, okay, that's part of what
made him so great. Part of what makes Josh Allen
so great is he can run people over, right, and
he's not. Everybody talks about Lamar Jackson getting hurt running
the ball. Lamar avoids contact. Josh Allen runs two contact.
So that's something I'll you know. And that team was
flying high before before he got hurt in Detroit on

that game that got moved to the snow and then,
I mean, we were joking about this earlier before you
got in here. They said Brandon wanted me to come
in there and say that Kylo Thompson needs to be
QB one in Miami.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Right, I'm not going to do that.

But what I will do, what I will say, what
I will do, and what I will say is.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Mike McDaniel and this shame Dolphins team walked in the
Orchard Park with a third string quarterback, and if they
had gotten some plays in earlier, if they had got
you assume Mike mcdaniel'll be better at that getting stuff
in sooner and get you know, being able to because
that was their hold up. They just couldn't get the
plays off. They were starting first in fifteen, second and

fifteen because he's taking too long and to call the play.

Speaker 6 (12:38):
It's all allowed there too.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Not only that too, you have to remember there was
a one play where he thought they were resetting. They
should have reset the play clock, and they did it,
so he thought he had time on the third down
and he said, no, no, no, it's fourth down. But they
waited to tell him his fourth down. And he said
in the press conference, now you're scrambling to look at
your fourth down plays because I'm thinking it's third down
because they didn't reset the play clock and they told
us we had a first down and then it ended up.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Being fourth down. Whatever, that's where one of them came from.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Whatever it may be, there was enough of them where
it was a big impact in the game, and quite honestly,
that allow Buffalo to advance and last year's postseason. If
Miami wins that game, how did we look at the
Buffalo Bills right now? Of course, you know a lot differently,
a lot differently, of course, especially if they walk in
there was colony lose Leslie Fraser, Jordan Porter, Michael Hyde,

the safeties, defensive backfield.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
I think it's going to be an issue. But so
that's why I'm leaning in.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
If I had to call it right now, which I
guess I suppose, I will I go Miami, New York, Buffalo,
and then New England.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
How mean wins you have for Buffalo? Nine? Okay? Yeah,
Vegas has over under said at ten and a half,
which was shocking, but see, I.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Would go under ten and a half. I think it'll
be a sweat. I think it will be a sweat.
I'm not expecting them to only win four or five games,
but I will go under ten and a half.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
They last summer, like this whole Buffalo thig is weird
to even hear now, because last summer I was saying
the same thing all year long. We were a victim
of what we last saw, and when we last saw
from Buffalo was the game against Kansas City where they
probably should have won the football game, and they put
up over thirty five points. But they decided to kick
the tarik and then decided to Lettereric catch a short
pass run a long way down, and then they decided

to let a linebacker cover Travis Kelcey in the red zone,
which with no safety help. You know, nice play call.
And that's Leslie Fraser who decided to take a year
off and you know, go hang out and chill for
a while. But coming off of that game, they were
picked by Vegas to win it. Josh Allen was picked
to win the MVP, and all summer long, I just
kept saying, this is none of this is gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Guys. We're being a victim of what we last saw.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
So if I got to say that about them last year,
then I have to keep the same consistency about what
I'm gonna say about him this year. The reason why
I like him still let eleven assists because Josh Allen
is still a great quarterback.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
He still has a great receiver. They should start to
run the ball a little more.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
The last four years twenty fifth or worse in the
NFL and rushing offense per game totals, touchdowns, across the
board for some reason. They don't run the football very well.
But last thing we saw was them being embarrassed by Cincinnati.
I think we're being a little victim of that. I
think this is still a good football team.

Get the quarterback. Seventy sacks last year led the league.

So I will say I don't like the strategy, but anyway,
who do you have coming out of the NFC East Eagles.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
I love this division because I grew up in this division, man,
so I'm really attached to the NFC East, and i
love it just like I love the AFCs. I like
the Eagles at thirteen and four. And I'll tell you
a few reasons why. I always look at the first
seven games.

Speaker 5 (17:20):
Mark.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
My thing is when I look at a schedule, let
me see your first seven. Let me see at least
to almost the midway point where you possibly can be.
And their first seven is at the Pats, the Vikes,
at Tampa Bay, Washington, the Rams, the Bumas, Jets, and
then my Mighty Dolphins. I see one loss in there,
and that could be the game against the Dolphins. I
think they sweep the rest of that. They do have
a really tough stretch though, where they go Miami, Washington, Dallas,

(17:42):
Casey Bills, Niners, Dallas, Seattle Giants. That's a stretch that's
gonna tell me what Philadelphia is gonna be this coming season.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
I want to put them into Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
I haven't made my super Bowl pick because I don't
do playoff picks, the super Bowl picks really until after
fifty three man roster's been turned in because of the
injuries and surprise cuts and things like that that can
affect teams. But there's only been two teams in the
last thirty years that have gotten back to the Super
Bowl after losing the Super Bowl. That's the twenty nineteen

(18:14):
Patriots in the nineteen ninety.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Three Buffalo Bills. So it's not often that this happens.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
But then on the flip side, you think somebody's gotta
do it again, though, right, it can't just be these
two teams, and you look across the NFC, I think
they're the best teams. I like Dallas at eleven and six,
and I hate to say that because I'm always banging
on Dallas, but that defense is monstrous. It really is.
That defense is good. Dan Quinn could be the best
defensive coordinator in football. In their schedule, I think they

(18:41):
have a chance, Martin to start off for six and
one Jets, the Giants, Zona, Pats, Niners, Chargers, Rams in Philly,
that that could be a six and one football team
to start. It's all gonna depend on Dak in the
receiving corps. I think the line they got Zach Martin back.
I think they'll be okay. The running backs, you know,

(19:02):
people feel like you don't need one anymore in the NFL.
So I don't even know what to say about Pollard
coming back off.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Of a broken lage. Deuce Vaughan may not have gotten
tackled all preseason. I'm not sure.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
Yeah, yeah, duce Vaughn might be a guy. You know,
he might his preseason, but you could take a little
bit from preseason. He might be a guy. So I
like Dallas at eleven and six. I think Dak hopefully
doesn't throw another fifteen interceptions, but I don't think he
keeps it under ten as he predicted.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
I like the Giants at nine and eight. Daniel Jones
to me.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Just asn't that guy. I think their defense will have
to hold hold him down. I think there's still some resentment,
some little feelings between Saquan and the front office in
an organization.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
I don't think that's gonna affect his play mintally.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
Oh, I'm not gonna go out and play, but I
just don't like bad energy and bad juice and Washington,
who I was really high on until their players started
complaining about being coached too hard. They fell off to me, man,
I wanted them at ten and seven. I dropped him
down to maybe six or seven wins, and that's how
I see that division.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Yeah, I actually I think I'm gonna pick the Cowboys
to win it. Here's the thing, Like, I know that
we've annoying and Jalen Hurts, as you know, one of
the best quarterbacks in the NFC, and I'm not necessarily
disputing that, but is he the best quarterback in the NFL?
That's what I'm saying. That's a far reach for me
to go for, Like, that's a long walk to take.
I'm not quite there yet. And it's not that I

(20:17):
want to see more I'm hating on him or anything
of the nature.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
It's just like I gave him all the flowers in
the world last year.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
It's tough and he's a great guy, and he showed
last season he can win from the pocket when he
needed to. I do think though, when he got crushed
against the Chicago that was an ac joint.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
We've seen that the same thing.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
I've been Christian McCaffrey a few years back, and then
go figure he was not able to throw the ball at.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
The same accuracy.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
So I think that just part of their play design
and the way that they are is going to hurt
them in a certain stret That's what I think it
was what cost them last year. I think last they
are a better team than than the Kansas City Chiefs
were across the board. But Jalen had the fumble that
got turned for a touchdown to Scoop and score killed him.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
And that's one other thing too.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
People the people keep saying like it was the best
play that quarterbacks had in the losing Super Bowls.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
Like, no, say that against something people are saying what
people have I've heard it.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
I've heard it out there. I haven't done that that.
People have been saying that this was the most impressive
you know, oh effort and losing effort by a quarterback
in the Super Bowl. Sure really fumbled the ball, gave
up a touchdown. It's part of the reason, the big
reason why they lost the game.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
