Hushman Zanna.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
All Right, good morning, welcome to hour two. This is
Up on Game man. Yeah, I'm excited about everything we
got going on. I heard Isaac lowing Crom. I'm still
trying to recover from how he took his nice little
pause after saying that nor Western is leading fit State.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Then the game. That's I caught it.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
We are broadcasting live from the tyrack dot cog studios.
Tyrack dot com will help you get there and unmatched selection,
fast free shipping, free road hazard protection, and over ten
thousand recommended installers. Tyrack dot com the way tire buying
should be we will get back into football. But there
(01:25):
was a major, major story, maybe the biggest story in
all of sports, most likely not debatables, you know, most
certainly Dame Lillard, Dame Dash Dollar Dash ends up getting
traded from the Blazers, but not to the Miami Heat.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
He went to the Milwaukee Bucks. Uh that costed the Bucks.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
I believe the most significant player in the in the
trade was Drew Holliday, TJ. We have TJ hair Plex
will be back. He's handling fa family business, the family
business of catching footballs and catching them well, so he's
handling that with Elijah.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
What do you think about this this trade?
Speaker 4 (02:10):
I mean, I love the trade, but I feel like
it could almost be problematic because we're in a day
and age where players that don't go to where they
want to go may not like where they are and
it could lead to, you know, not so great results.
What do you feel about this this trade? I think
it clearly If Dame embraces this trade and this opportunity,
(02:35):
I think they easily become the favorites to win the
East and to most likely possibly win win it all.
I think this puts them in prime pole position to
win the NBA Championship.
Speaker 5 (02:49):
What say you, TJ, How dare you say that? Like
the Lakers aren't in the NBA. But we'll get to that.
Damien Littler is going to embrace this. This is the
best team he's ever played on. White wouldn't this is
what he wanted? Why wouldn't he He demanded a trade.
Obviously he wanted to go to Miami Heat. That did
not happen. This is not the next best thing. This
(03:10):
is the best thing for him. And so you're playing
with Giannis, who's arguably the best player in the NBA.
This will be Damian Lillard's best chance to win the championship.
But it's not going to be easy. Okay, Boston they're
going to be better, and you can make an argument
(03:33):
that Boston may be better. I didn't like that they
lost Smart in this trade.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
I didn't like but you have to I don't know
that this is this is this.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Is the thing though.
Speaker 5 (03:43):
This is the thing, though, LeVar, When you've done it
a certain way for so long and it doesn't and
it doesn't work, But did you get rid of here's
the problem. You get rid of the right person. That's
that's the problem. Who do you get rid If you're Boston,
who do you get rid of? You're not getting rid
of Tatum or Brown.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
That's the sad part of it.
Speaker 5 (03:59):
They try to get rid of Brogden. Nobody wanted them.
I would prefer to get rid of Brogden over Smart,
but nobody wanted them.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
And so I'm saying, you named the two.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
If you've done it for so long and you're getting
the same results I saw, I continue and this is
just me. I continue to see Jason Tatum disappear.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
And Jason Man. When you're younger, there steps you got
to go through. Jayson Tatum is one of the best
players in the NBA, buying nobody.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
And so I agree.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
But when you're young, there's steps you must take to
reach greatness. And I believe I agree with adversity. I
agree with that the adversity that he's faced in the
past will help him in the future, and so he'll
know how to handle that if it comes up again.
He's at that point where if it comes up, I've
been through this, I'm good, let's go. And so Boston
(04:53):
is right there. You is clearly Dame Dash and no, no,
it's not to me. They're they're right there looking at
each other out of eye. They're both they're looking out
of it's not a clear thing they're out of. Now,
you got the team that was in the championship last year.
They're still in the conference now in the Miami Heat,
they are still there.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
So you have them.
Speaker 5 (05:16):
We don't know what's gonna happen with James harden An
Embiid in the sixers. And so when when I look
at the East, those are the teams that I put there.
Now you go to the West. You got the Lakers,
you got the Sons. Oh, the team that won the
championship that everybody seems to forget about is the Denver Nuggas.
You had them. You got the Kings that are young
(05:39):
and they coming. And so there's so many good teams. Oh,
Golden State added Chris Paul, And you can say whatever
you want. Chris Paul's old, he gets Chris Paul's a leader,
he's a winner, he knows how to play. And so
there's so any teams that I wantn't say. So, I mean,
(06:01):
it's probably six teams that I can see winning it.
So this makes the Bucks the clear favorite. No, No, no,
clear favorite. No, because when you give up Drew Holliday,
you give up a guy that is one of the
best defensive players. And we know when you get to
(06:22):
the playoffs, you got to have guys get a bucket
and guys that can get a stop. Dame can get
a bucket. He ain't getting a stop, and so you
lose Grace and Allen. That's depth and people say, oh,
that doesn't matter. You lose depth. And I think that
was part of the reason that Milwaukee was so good
(06:42):
because of their bench. So it's gonna be inching. Obviously
they are one of the favorites. But heading shoulders above
everybody else. I don't see that.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
All right, maybe not head shoulders, but I say, clear favorite.
Do you know?
Speaker 5 (06:56):
No, it's not clear no, because I don't. I don't
see that. Man.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
I just got that Jannis and and Middleton are like,
first of all, the offense was in a lot of
ways running through Middleton Middleton.
Speaker 5 (07:12):
Yeah, and now now now what happens LeVar because Middleton
would have the ball in his hands.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
You know, I think I think Damian Lillard makes those
two better. I think he makes the team better.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
Is Middleton a really catch and shoot guy or is
he a guy that kind of gets his own own
shot and helps others get.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
Their shot line. I think anyone he can shoot the
ball really well. He but he does a lot of
it off the dribble. But all right, so here's my thing.
If if you're getting space because you have a player
of the caliber and the scoring abilities of Lillard, and
you add that to the attacking style, and it's going
(07:55):
to open up space Like Middleton isn't going to have
to be able to create space to get shots because
how else are you gonna cover y'all, Jannis and Lillard.
Speaker 5 (08:05):
Let me say this, great players adjust, so they'll figure
it out. But what I'm saying is this, let's go
back when Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Boss played together.
Who took a back seat Chris Bosh And so you
got to put your ego to the side because all
those isoles that was he showed no longer gonna get those.
(08:29):
And so he's already won a championship. It's not like
the Bucks haven't won it. He's already won a championship.
And so are you willing to sacrifice your game for
the betterment of the team? And every oh that's easy.
Why wouldn't you. It's not as easy when you've played
a certain way for so long. They're going to be
a really good team, but it's not gonna be without
(08:51):
some hiccups and some bumps along the road, because y'all
gotta figure out how was this gonna mesh. You got
a first year head coach, and that's another thing. It's
first sure head coach. He assume he's gonna get a
great coach. I agree, we don't know, and so degree
so many variables that go into this. But when you
have two of the top ten players in the NBA
(09:11):
on the same team, you always are one of the favorites.
But Clearcut is just too many other good teams, at
least in my opinion. I think Boston in the East
right now is out of eye with him.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
I don't know, man. I think Dame Lillard adding that
type of fire power. And one thing about Dame if
you watch him play, he's he's an unselfish dude, and
he's a leader. He's a facilitator. I almost feel like
as good a dude as Jannis is. Am I am
(09:47):
I going down the wrong lane by saying is he
too nice? Right Middleton. I don't know his personality because
you don't get a personality from him when you're watching
him play, like, I don't know him as a person,
so I can't give an assessment on what type of
a leader I think he would be.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
But he just seems like a quiet dude.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
You can tell and you can feel the leadership of
Damian Lillard the interviews that we've been able to hear,
the things that he said.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
The reason why he was in Portland for so long.
Speaker 4 (10:22):
Is because he was a leader, and he was a
class act and he's one of those guys that you follow.
But you can tell he has that fire, like there's
fire there, like he might get up in your face
and challenge you and and bringing energy. I think he
brings a different energy to Milwaukee that takes them to
the next level because it's gritty. Dame Damian Lillard is
(10:45):
a gritty type of guy. He's a gritty player. He
has he has that that something about him. And I
think that if I were to look at the Milwaukee Bucks,
would it be safe to say the reason why they
struggle at times is because you could basically consider them
not like they kind of I.
Speaker 5 (11:02):
Mean, you can you can take that point. But LeVar Let,
let's look at other things. Damian Lillard does miss games
because injuries. So the eighty two game season, how many
gonna play sixty? So what happens in those other twenty
two he's gonna miss six, He's gonna miss twenty games,
let's say twenty because of injuries. That's what he's death.
(11:25):
The history of what happens has happened in the past,
and so.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
Does he get his banged up? Is his body getting
does he have to play as many minutes? Like I
think there's a different scenario that plays out when you're.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
On a better team. You know, it's good things that
he's had to go.
Speaker 5 (11:40):
Sit here just thinking about when I bring up injuries,
I didn't even bring up the Clippers.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
If Kawi and Paul George stay healthy, their threat they're
But that's not gonna happen. I mean, I think the
book is out on that that's not gonna happen.
Speaker 5 (11:57):
It's just I like, I like Talkey, but head and shoulders,
you know they're in the penthouse and everybody else is
underneath them. I don't see that. I see teams that
I think the West right here with them.
Speaker 4 (12:11):
I think they got the East tied up the minute
Dame Damian Lillard signed to port uh To to the Bucks.
I think they had it tied because they were going
to be They were going to be a favorite anyway.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
Currently. You got to make them the favorite in the
East anyway, they were already the favorite.
Speaker 4 (12:28):
Throw Boston in there. You could throw Boston there, and
you could throw the new head coach in there.
Speaker 5 (12:32):
I like them, I don't know, man, I like I
like Boston, uh being right there with them so one A,
one B type of things that Boston they're just that talented.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
But they were that.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
But they were on that conversation point before you get
Damian Lillard.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
Think about that.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
You're having that conversation before Dame Lillard comes to that team.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
But the reason you say that for me, the reason
I say they're there, and this this is why, LeVar
is when you played Boston Drew Holliday with guard Jalen
Brown or Tatum Middleton Reguard the other one.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (13:09):
Now that Drew Holliday isn't there, who gonna guard him?
And I understand and I do. I knew you were
going to go down the defensive lane because I.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
Was gonna go them. But but but now you have
to Now you have to say, who's going to guard Dame?
You you like, Yanni's is virtually impossible. The only defender
that works against Gianni's is the free throw line.
Speaker 5 (13:34):
That is the only defender that can be we That's
one thing we do agree on. Is virtually unstoppable.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
So if you can't stop that man and you add
another dude, you.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
Can make it hard on Lillard.
Speaker 5 (13:50):
You can make it if Lillard is gonna hit contested
threes the whole time, Hey, hey.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
Nothing, you can do it.
Speaker 5 (13:57):
But it ain't nobody stopping that. I'm just telling they don't,
no matter who Gardening. The potential of what that represents is.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
I think it's it's a clear they're clearly like they
separated themselves from being in a conversation with Boston Dame Lillard.
Speaker 5 (14:11):
And this is what makes sports so great, because you
see something a certain way. I see it one way,
bow may see it, Like everybody's gonna see things differently.
I just think Boston is right there with them, and
the only way we're gonna find out is when the
season kicks off. Because although Damian Liardar I would say
he's one of the top fifty players to ever play.
(14:32):
Would you say he's a top fifty player all time?
Top sixty at the worst. And that automatically makes you
a better team. But when you get positives, you got
to put in the negatives as well. Jrewe Holliday is
nowhere near the type of player that Damian Lillard is,
but he brings elements to the game that Damian Lillard doesn't.
(14:55):
And so if they can overcome it, then everything you're
saying is correct. And if they can't, then and it's
gonna be very interesting.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
I could dig it all right. That's t J.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
Huchman's atta. I'm LeVar Arrington. This is up on game.
We're gonna take a quick break. On the other side
of the break, we're gonna talk a little Zach Wilson, Uh,
you know Joe name if Willie Joe came out, they
get him up out here. You know, we'll touch on that.
Get TJ's uh, you know, feelings on what's going on there.
I have an interesting take on it, and I'm sure
(15:26):
you mind you're black and white. I can't wait for
this one. I have an interesting angle. We're gonna touch
on that. On the other side of this break, it's
up on game Fox Sports Radio.

Plexico is off today.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
But he is. Yeah, he's part of the crew. You
know what it is, he'll be back.
Speaker 4 (16:45):
Uh, TJ in the club came on. That's you know, yeah,
fifty fifty is from New York City. In fact, let
that keep playing. Let that New York keep playing, because
you know, fifty went at Jy Rule to blow up.
(17:06):
If we all historically remember the meteoric rise of fifty cent.
He he went out who was considered to be on
his way to being one of the goats in the
game and Jy Rule. You know, he was singing and
rapping and had a shantea out there and kind of
changed the game. And then here count here come your
boy with Wangster. The reason why this story is so
(17:29):
significant that I'm I'm presenting to you all for this song, TJ.
Is I'm setting you up for the call with well,
my man Willie Joe fifty cent Nameth, Oh wow, brought
the ether to your boy Zach Wilson. Who was I mean,
is he the highest draft pick at quarterback in the
(17:52):
history of the Jesus it's up there.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
Here's what Willie Joe names after fourth I believe Okay,
Mark Sanchez might be yeah, Mark Zosi, Yeah aa, Zach Wilson,
he was two. Yeah, Well there you go. Well here's
what fifty cent name.
Speaker 4 (18:12):
Has had to say about the highest draft pick at
quarterback for the New York Jets.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
And you brought up the coaching.
Speaker 6 (18:21):
How can a coach make things better for Zach?
Speaker 7 (18:25):
How can a coach say the locker rooms together?
Speaker 1 (18:29):
How many teams have we been on? Are you telling
me they're on?
Speaker 7 (18:32):
Some cats on the defensive side saying?
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Whoa man wan't the wrong with you?
Speaker 7 (18:37):
Yeah, there's not all harmony in the locker room, and
if there is, they need to get rid of the people.
You got to get people in there that are competitors
and want to fight to win. These guys don't have
to be in love with each other, and if they,
if they're staying, they're in love with each other, that
bs and you got to get rid of them top
to bottom.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
What would you if you if somebody handed you, Zack
Wilson said, Okay, Joe, make him better, what would you do?
Speaker 7 (19:04):
Send him to Kansas City to back up against somebody
like my home. Maybe had learned something I wouldn't keep. Yeah,
I've seen him enough of Zach Wilson.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
Yeah, you could cut it off right there. So those
are some strong words. Now before I get your your
your response on it, TJ.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Here was Zach Wilson's response, and he's passionate.
Speaker 8 (19:26):
He's obviously was, you know, one of the greats, and
so that says an offense, We've got to do everything
we can just to try and prove him on and
keep doing what we can and improve. I think the
guys are feeling very optimistic. You know, we all believe
in each other. We're all right there so excited for
this week.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
He sounded a little delusional to me.
Speaker 4 (19:44):
But what what what's your take on this?
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Zach Wilson should have told him to shut up? Mm?
Speaker 5 (19:51):
Like I I just it bothers me when former players
do that to younger dudes.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Man, that bothers me. Support. Is he playing good football? Nah?
He's he isn't. He knows he isn't. But like to
do all of that for what? For what? Why?
Speaker 5 (20:12):
Like he knows he isn't playing well, the coaches know
he'sn't playing well, his teammates know he's'm playing well, and
his teammates are gonna support him because that's what teammates do.
Speaker 4 (20:20):
But do you think they're really supporting him. I mean
there has been a lot of they're upset because they're losing.
They're losing, of course they're going to be upset. But
when you have Joe Namath who led the Jets to
a super Bowl, and I look this up because I'm like, damn,
(20:44):
Joe Naman, I just assume Joe Namath had great stats.
When you look Joe Namath up and look, just don't
listen to me. Just go look at his stats. Yeah,
he won a super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
But like.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
You, all you're doing when you think of the Jets,
you think of your name is because of the super
Bowl that he brought him. But show this man some
support so that he doesn't feel a type of way
like Zach Wilson already feels like this is it. I'm
(21:20):
sure he does, and he's saying all the right things.
He's putting on a smile, but he's already down. We
know he isn't playing well. I just don't like it's
almost like bullying him, so to speak.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
I don't like that.
Speaker 5 (21:34):
I don't like that, like you're being so negative towards
the dude, and yeah, we're playing football and this support
the man and if and when he gets benched, do
you know this was a long time coming, But to
come out and dude it like, I don't like it.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
I wouldn't do something like that.
Speaker 5 (21:54):
It's just unfortunate man that older retired players they do
these type of things. Man, I don't like it. I
will never do anything like that, at least I hope
I wouldn't. And if I do, somebody need to tell
me to shut the f up and come smack me,
because I just don't think it's the right thing to do.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Now.
Speaker 5 (22:13):
If I'm Zack Wilson, I know I'm on my last leg, LeVar.
When I tell you any single high look, Garrett Wilson
is getting the ball, I don't know, like Zack Wilson,
when you get single high safety, if you don't feed
Garrett Wilson the.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
Ball, what are you doing? Right?
Speaker 9 (22:37):
What are you doing? And take the chance, take chaste
the chances. Like if it's a single high safety, it's
cover three or it's cover one. That's basically a man
look on outside. Even if it's cover for us a man,
Throw the ball to your best player. Make it easy, confuse,
check it down, very simple. Zack Wilson check down, sorry,
(22:59):
the wrestle of the and then when they figure out
what I'm doing and y'all gonna double him, then I
can go to other guys.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
I mean, but he hasn't played well. When you're drafted.
When I say he hasn't played, he hasn't played well
at all. You give or take a game or hear
or there. When you're drafted second overall, so much is
expected of you, and he's underperformed. But I just don't
like the retire player beating down a current player like that.
(23:29):
I've never been a fan of it. I never will be.
I think we as players got to support him through
the good in the bad, because if Zach Wilson was bawling,
he wouldn't be saying that. He wouldn't be saying it,
and that's obvious. But don't do this to a player
that when he got drafted, I'm sure you was in
his face, shaking his hand, congratulating him, talking to him,
(23:51):
and now you're beating him down.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
I just don't think it's a good look. But that's
just me. That's how I think.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
I'm gonna I'm gonna get my angle on on this.
I I'm not terribly offended by what Willie Joe had
to say, only just from the sense of sometimes and
you're right, I think you should support guys, but sometimes
hearing somebody say how they really feel is refreshing to me.
(24:19):
I just, you know, whether it's he should be supporting
because his his duty is that as a former player
that played for the team and that position knows the position.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
But I kind of thought that.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
Like listening to him, you could hear how genuine, genuine
he was about the whole thing, including if players is
okay with where they are right now, like everybody's in harmony,
going y'all not good right now? So so here's my
here's my take on on Zach Wilson and and and
why the you know this is escalated the way that
it has in terms of saying that Robert Salah is
(24:55):
supporting why is he so married to to Zack Wilson?
Why is he so know in on kind of like
protecting him. So I think that that's where the whole
conversation of the whole you know, locker room being divided
is why why is Robert Salah so committed to Zach Wilson.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
Here's my theory I'm curious in your.
Speaker 5 (25:18):
Opinion everything like he got many options, but go ahead, okay,
today he doesn't have any options, right, they bring in Simeon, Well,
what's the guy's name?
Speaker 4 (25:26):
Who's Trevor Sam And they bring him in. He ain't
got no he don't have no resume. I would say,
he's going to change what's going on there. So here,
you don't have a choice if you're Robert Salah today
to support to support Zach Wilson in terms of trying
to salvage a season that's already slipping away this early on.
(25:47):
But why would you support him in the summer? Why
would you support him in the off season? Why would
you support him going into into training camp? Why wouldn't
you just get rid of him? Like like Joe Nama said,
why didn't you just get rid of him? You know
other people have said get rid of Zach Wilson. My
theory on why he had to support or why he
felt good supporting Zach Wilson and keeping him around was
(26:12):
he was betting he was he was betting on Aaron
Rodgers to be what he needed to be as a player.
I don't think he ever felt like he was going
to have to show the team or show the fans
that he was in with with Zack Wilson or not
because he wasn't going to play. So you can say
(26:34):
face with a guy that was drafted as highs he
was drafted, and you give him the opportunity to either
a develop as a player and maybe possibly two three
years from now he gets back in and plays. Maybe
or you go in a different direction, but you have
the option and you kind of, you know, you supported him.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
I think that was the ideal situation.
Speaker 5 (26:58):
LeVar was earned under Aaron Rodgers for two years and
let's hope we see a ton of improvement in practice
so that we can feel comfortable moving forward with you
as our quarterback. That was the plan. Obviously that's not
the plan now, and so they wanted to gamble. They
(27:19):
wanted to salvage I believe they wanted to salvage Zach
Wilson because they use the second tick on it. He's
such a high pick that they felt like if he
could sit a couple of years and learn behind Aaron Rodgers,
he'll be a better quarterback. And history has shown if
you're not good right away, if you can sit and
learn behind a great maybe you got a chance. I mean,
(27:40):
Jordan Love is playing solid. Aaron Rodgers did it behind
Brett Favre, and so it's a possibility. That's not the
case now. And so for Zack Wilson, let's just call
it what it is. He planned for his career. He's
not planning to be a starter. He's planning for his career.
That's what he's planned for. Because you're not showing that
(28:02):
you're gonna be a starter, people might even be sure
you can be a backup, because what you're gonna come
in the game and do throw for one hundred and
forty five yards. So he's playing for his career. I
wish he nothing but the best. I don't I know him,
but I don't know him like that. It's just, uh,
(28:23):
this is a dog eat dog profession that we play in. Simple.
They want results and if you can't give them results,
it's gonna be.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Tough for you. All right, let me throw this one
out at you. This is a little bit off the
beaten path.
Speaker 4 (28:40):
But while we're talking about playing for your career and
needing results and him not living up to the potential
and Aaron Rodgers, you double down on Aaron Rodgers to
be the reason why you don't have to play Zach
Wilson and allow him to kind of you know developed
as you mentioned.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
Well, isn't the guy. We just we just st that
he's not going to be the guy. Absolutely not, all right.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
J Cole releases the letter. Y'all know we had to
do this. Y'all know we had to do this. Jake
Cole releases the letter. Colin Kaepernick wants a workout. Colin
Kaepernick is ready, He's prepared. Do you go in this
direction knowing that after Wilson is the reason or you
feel like Zach we on the game.
Speaker 5 (29:27):
Sean gonna answer the question before you completely finished the question. No, No,
Colin Kaepernick has not played football in six years, man, Like.
We talked to Sean Watson, who was one of the
better young quarterbacks in the league. Last week was the
best game he played, Yes, it was since he's been back.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
You know how hard it will.
Speaker 5 (29:52):
Be for Kaepernick to get in the NFL in play like,
you know how hard that will be six years. Your
eyes not used to the speed of the game because
practice isn't going to prepare you. You don't play with
the same intensity and so no, it sucks for Cap
that he's in that situation. You didn't get an opportunity.
(30:13):
But when you make the choices, decisions, consequences, choices, decisions
and consequences. He made a choice to do what he did.
The league made their decision. He got to deal with
the consequence. It's very simple, and it sucks for him,
(30:34):
but it's over. It's over the fact that you can
show the dedication and a discipline to get up and
train every day like you said you've been doing.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
That's great. But the choices, decision and consequences, man, that's
what it is.
Speaker 4 (30:51):
You do know that I found it to be a
little a little irony in this. You sent, first of all,
if you wanted to be back in the league, send
the letter out to all thirty two teams, try to
get a workout and get a chance with all thirty two.
Why are you just sending a letter to New York
that's first and foremost. But then I started thinking to myself,
(31:13):
let's just say they gave him a chance and.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
He makes it. To say, back up.
Speaker 4 (31:20):
You do know that nine to eleven took place in
New York City. You do know that's one of the
most patriotic places and markets to go play. Does he
kneel when they played a national anthem? I believe that nearly.
And this is what I will say.
Speaker 5 (31:40):
He brought a lot of awareness to what was going
on that cannot be denied, the ND racism and police brutality,
and guys being able to put stickers on a helmet,
the NFL putting it in the end zone, and things
of that nature. He did bring some awareness to it.
But he paid his career for it.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
And.
Speaker 5 (32:02):
You gotta understand when you again choice his decisions and consequences.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
I don't know why they like.
Speaker 5 (32:09):
He didn't send it to the other thirty two teams
because he knew what he was gonna get, the same thing.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
The Jets gave me no thank you. That's why.
Speaker 4 (32:18):
That's why Well shouts out to j Cole trying to
get his boy back into the league.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
But bro, I don't think that. I don't think it's
gonna work.
Speaker 4 (32:26):
I don't I don't for the New York Jets or
any other team, but I don't think it's gonna fly.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
But hey, we'll see how it all plays out. Man.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
Let's see what's playing out in college football and sports today.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
What you got trendon eye Lobe.
Speaker 6 (32:42):
What's playing out? Caleb Williams is a ranked usc Trojans
now have a thirty four to seven lead at Colorado
with twenty eight seconds left in the first half. Williams
has completed sixteen of nineteen for two forty eight with
four touchdown passes. At halftime, Number six Pence, Stay and
Northwestern are tied at ten. Penn State drawing even on
(33:04):
a thirteen yard touchdown run by Trey Potts with one
sixteen left in the second quarter, and at halftime, Kentucky
has a twenty three to seven lead over Number twenty
two Florida. Kentucky's Ray Davis has scored three touchdowns. He
has eleven carries for two hundred and six yards, including
touchdown runs of seventy five yards and three yards, and
(33:25):
he also has a nine yard touchdown reception. In golf,
Saturday's Ryder Cup action has come to an end in Italy.
Team USA won three out of the four afternoon matches,
but Europe still has a ten and a half to
five and a half overall lead. Finally, fellows, listen to this.
The Cleveland Browns have added tight end David Najoku to
(33:46):
their injury report. Najoku is now questionable for Tomorrow's game
against the Baltimore Ravens after he sustained burn injuries to
his face and arm in a household accident. Associated pressure
report that Nadjoku was injured while lighting a fire pit
(34:06):
in his backyard.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
Man, that's real, bro.
Speaker 6 (34:10):
Yeah, yes, His agent tweeted, thank you everyone for reaching out.
David is, Oh, hey, thank god. Indeed, guy back to you.
Can you believe I burnt?
Speaker 4 (34:19):
I burnt my hand so back? My hand in my
arm so bad. You want to know what happened?
Speaker 1 (34:25):
What are you lightning with? LeVar and thoughts and prayers
to him?
Speaker 4 (34:29):
Well, he might have had a gas He might have
had a like a pro paying tank for for his
his uh.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
You know place you just turn the thing.
Speaker 4 (34:37):
Oh you know they had a little little no no,
no no no.
Speaker 1 (34:40):
Not for wood.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
You can use there's a multi multi use, right, Like
you can use wood, but you also have one that
that has has gas in it. It has natural gas
or propane where you can light it, right, so you
can have real wood smell and real wood and you.
Speaker 5 (34:58):
Can have it lit with with the gas. Yeah, it's
just a gas line and you use one of those
sticks to light right. Yeah, all right.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
So I'm sitting there and I'm about to light this fire,
right and we were talking sports.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
So I turned the gas up.
Speaker 4 (35:16):
The gas is on, I got the wood on, and
I'm talking like I get get distracted, so it's like yeah, yeah,
but no no, this, that, that that and the other
ba da da da da da da. And then I
was talking for about five probably like five minutes before
I turned back around. Bruh, I go and put the
(35:36):
lighter in to like the starter log and forgot that
I had the gas on, and bruh, that joint shot
up out of there. I got my face out of there,
but I burnt my hand and my arm like and
I mean like singed it like you could, like I
(35:56):
cooked my arm.
Speaker 5 (35:59):
True story. So we got we got a fireplace in
our backyard. I promise we used it one time.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
One time.
Speaker 4 (36:07):
I like using fire. I like I like fireplace. We're
a fire fireplace house. But I mean that that one
time is like and like I said, I'm just I'm
not gonna be lazy on on starting the fire anymore.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
I'm just going back old school. I'm using paper because
all I was.
Speaker 4 (36:22):
All I was really doing was lighting it to get
the starter light or the starter log going, and then
they would give you give you like a really really
good fire on the logs. Man, I let that thing jump.
I ain't realized that the whole thing was just filled
with gas because it was it was so deep.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
It was laugh.
Speaker 5 (36:42):
Turned the gas on and you don't light it right away,
you let all that gas build up.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
Yeah, that's what it was. Man.
Speaker 5 (36:49):
I wish you. I hope he's okay. Man, I hope
he's okay. Dangerous, but that joy is really it just
reminded me of that. Anyway, we're gonna come back on
the other side of this. We got up on Game
Down on Game to wrap up the show. This is

Speaker 1 (37:10):
LaVar Arrington's t J. Hushman's Out of Pluck co is off.
He'll be back.
Speaker 4 (37:15):
If you missed anything, Just go check out up on
Game all right wherever it is that you download your
podcast and check out up on Game Presents as well.
I hope you guys enjoyed the show. But before we
get up out here, let's get to it up on
game down on game time for some picks.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
Are you up on game Let's break this up. Let's
break it up down on game all right?
Speaker 1 (37:42):
Did we keep track from last week? Yes? We did?
Speaker 10 (37:45):
And uh, LeVar, you came away with the win last week.
Speaker 1 (37:48):
Thank you. Of course he did because I picked with
my heart not my head. Thank you, thank you, Thank you.
Speaker 10 (37:54):
A good chance for TJ to rebound here. Uh, we're
gonna start. All of these odds are from our friends
over at DraftKings. We are going to start with the
oh and three Denver Broncos heading to Chicago to take
on the oh and three Bears. Denver favored by three
and a half in this one. The point total is
sitting at forty six and a half.
Speaker 4 (38:13):
Yeah, lay the points on Denver and that forty six
and a half. Uh yeah, I'll take the over on that.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
What's the spread Denver minus Denver three and a half?
Speaker 5 (38:26):
Man pick the worst of the worst. Huh, I guess
I'm gonna go with the Broncos man. The Bears seem
to be just struggling, struggling, struggling, struggling, you give up
seventy points. I believe you'll be much better, at least
you better be much better. So I'm gonna go with
the Broncos and I'm gonna go with the under all right.
Speaker 10 (38:47):
Next up, the Las Vegas Raiders head to Los Angeles
to play the Chargers, where they might actually have a
home field advantage. Chargers favored by five in this one,
and the point totals sits at forty eight and a half.
Speaker 1 (38:58):
Ooh. I like Chargers.
Speaker 5 (39:00):
I don't care about the home field advantage that they
can't get on the field and play for them. The Chargers,
now that they have Kellen Moore as an offensive coordinator,
they've been unbelievable. Need to pick it up on the
defense side of the ball. But the Chargers, they move
the ball and they score a lot of points. So
I'm going with the Chargers and I'm taking over. Yeah,
I'm gonna rid with that.
Speaker 4 (39:18):
That's That's exactly what I would have said, all right,
exactly what I would have said.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
No reason to repeat the.
Speaker 10 (39:29):
Game of the week here. Maybe the Chiefs go to
New York's take on the Jets. I believe Taylor Swift
is expected to attend. Yeah, so Kansas City favored by
nine the point total since a forty one and a half,
but we may that might jump if we get confirmation
on Taylor Swift appearing with the game.
Speaker 1 (39:47):
I'm taking the under on the points. Yeah, was that
Taylor Swift.
Speaker 4 (39:53):
I'm gonna take the under on the points, and I'm
also gonna say I'm gonna take I'm gonna take the
Jets with that that point spirit that fitaking the Jets, huh,
not to win, but on the points, yeah, I'm for
sure gonna go to the opposite the LeVar. Yes, Chiefs
(40:13):
are favored by nine. Now I'm gonna take the over
on that one. That later points on that one for certain,
So you're taking the Chiefs. They'll beat on it fifteen points.
I thought it was fifteen points. I take, I take
the Jets nine points. I'm taking the Chiefs. Lay the
points on it.
Speaker 1 (40:28):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (40:28):
So I was gonna take the Chiefs because he took
the Jets. Now I'm gonna take the Jets because he
took the Chiefs. So I don't know if it makes sense.
I just don't want to know.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
I'm gonna win next line in all ways, he just
gave it away right there. That was the right take. Eight.
It happens. Man, I thought you had the Jets, so
I was like, I'm gonna go with the.
Speaker 4 (40:44):
Chiefs, Jack Wilsons, throw ducks alight, even boy, man, I'm
gonna win.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
That's all that matters. Here we go. It's up on Game.
That's t J.
Speaker 4 (40:55):
Hichman's Stay Locked In Jkas Show coming up next Fox
for It's Radio
