Speaker 1 (01:38):
James Harden here. That's some interesting things to say.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
But first, fellas, let's let's get into you know, there's
a big slate of college football games today and none
bigger than USC Notre Dame night.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Okay, so.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
USC travels to and Arbor, so there's a time difference,
and there is a weather change, and they're playing against
what would be considered to be less ditch effort to
save their season. With the Notre Dame fighting Irish. Being
at five and two, they can they cannot lose another game.

(02:19):
Now on the other side, you got USC, who's six
and zero, and this could possibly be one of the
biggest games of for now for Caleb Williams to define
and maybe put himself in pole position to win that
Heisman Trophy for the second time, only the second time
in the history of college football. With that have been achieved,

(02:42):
We'll start with you, TJ. What's what are you looking at?
What's what do you feel as at stake with this
game against USC and Notre Dame.

Speaker 5 (02:52):
This game is the battle of the bads. Bad offense
for Notre Dame, bad defense for USC. Who's gonna be
the Who's gonna be the best of the bads? I
mean it's very simple. Notre Dame offensive coordinator is he's
just not getting it done. You have a quarterback in
Sam Hartman who transferred from Wake Force, plays extremely well

(03:15):
at Wake For. We have a chance at the national championship.
We all the Notre Dame fans and early on you're like,
we can't score, we can't move the ball. Had Ohio
State beat but we couldn't score enough points. And they're
just not clicking on offense. Defensively, with Mark Freeman been good,

(03:39):
gonna always be good. Conversing with USC. Alex Grinch was
a problem at Oklahoma. Alex Trench is a problem at USC.
They can't stop anybody. Give them the best recruits in
the country, give them the best players in the country.
I don't know if the system is too complex, or

(04:01):
they just are not teaching things the right way, or
he's just calling the wrong defense at the wrong time.
They can't stop anybody. I just remember vividly last year.
I'll never forget this. They're playing Utah. Everybody knows Utah
wants to run the ball. Utah is on a three
yard line going in, USC had three down linemen.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
They had three.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
Down linemen inside the five yard line, and Utah proceeded
to run it in for a touchdown. It's like stuff
like that, like, how do you get in the position
you're in and you showing year after year after.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
You get it below average? You know what goes in?
You know what happens?

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Right, they go watch them, they go watch the film
as a staff when they just named the players, you know, no, it.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
Was is call it what it is, man. Marcus Freeman
is on the hot seat. Oh, let's just call it
what it is. He was expected to come in thore
to day to bring this new life into this and
to this you know this, this university and his team,
and up to this point he's basically failed from what

(05:11):
the UH the the fighting alumni would expect from a
winning coach to come to this university. So if they
were coming into the season as a top ten football team,
and I thought that they were, and obviously they lost
game one, and then last week they go to Louisville

(05:32):
and they basically looked like a shell on themselves. They
couldn't stop to run, they couldn't stop the pass. They
just couldn't do anything to slow down this Louisville football team.
And they basically put Louisville on the map. So wait
a minute, we know that Louisville is five, and oh
but they are they this for real? Which I believe
that they are. But back to know the dame you
know playing in this game today, LaVar, you said they

(05:54):
can't lose another game. They've already lost two, so that
automatically puts them out of the Now, that's no championship
top four to win a national championship. There's no way
that you can lose two games and expect to get
into the top four to compete for national championship. And

(06:14):
lelone that I don't even think they're going to be
killer with in this team today. I think that the
USC is going to go in to Notre Dame, kick
them while they're down, and then then they're going to
have three losses in the season is basically going to
be over. So Notre Dame basically picks the team that
they want to play against every year. They pick their

(06:35):
own schedule.

Speaker 5 (06:36):
So don't be upset when you're losing football games when
you're basically selecting your own schedule of the team that
you want to play to take the basically the easy
route to get into the national championship or the top
four to compete for national championship. And then you put
Louisville on your on your schedule and you go up

(06:57):
there and they make.

Speaker 6 (06:59):
It look like you are high school football team. So
they haven't been doing with any justice. And I don't
think that they will beat USC today. I just think
it's one of those seasons for Notre Dame where you know,
you just gonna, you know, have the enjoy seeing them
on NBC every Saturday for the next six or seven weeks.
But as far as them come beating for a national championship,

(07:21):
they lost that opportunity last week when they went to
Louisville and got beat That was a big loss.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
For him. They've been competitive.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
I mean they've they've pulled out close ones and they've
let close ones get away.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Obviously, I think.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
This is a super big game for both teams, but
I think none bigger than USC.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
You know.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
I think that for them to maintain pace, not only
for Caleb Williams to win another Heisman, but for their
season as a whole. You know, I believe that this
is this is a strong team. They do need to
improve on defense, that has been their liability. You watched
Arizona have with with a young shirt freshmen have a

(08:02):
tremendous day. You know those my boys right there, you know, Yeah,
shouts out to Lesson Noah. You know, they had an
amazing day and and and carved them up. I think
that this is a game where they have to show
that they can be a top notch opponent, because I

(08:24):
do believe Notre Dame is still considered to be a
top notch component or opponent today. They need to show
that they can go in and really really handle their
business against a team like Notre Dame because otherwise some
of the teams that they're going to see the rest
of the way out. I think it makes it very
difficult for them to win out and put themselves in

(08:45):
a position to get into the playoffs. And with that
being said, does that cost Caleb Williams the opportunity to
win a second Heisman Trophy?

Speaker 1 (08:56):
He's winning. Who else is gonna take the Heisman Trophy
from them? I don't know. I mean, I don't, I
don't know.

Speaker 5 (09:03):
I don't see anybody playing at the level that we
could say, ah and again they once November comes around,
it's really okay, he is the for sure Heisman favorite.
But I see Caleb Williams winning it.

Speaker 6 (09:22):
So if if if Caleb Williams and the USC loses
game to day against I know, the Dame, you think
he still wins.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
The Because see, I think that's a hard one.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
It's hard to justify for because that's the position that
matters most in winning and losing.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Well, if he were to lose to the quarterback.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
Man, listen, man, he can put up fifty points, his
defense gonna give up fifty one?

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Is that really the position that I mean?

Speaker 4 (09:50):
I think I think it comes down to a lot
of it comes down to how well the team performs.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
I really do like in some cases it does it.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
They put up points at at a race that we
haven't seen like this is the best offense that Lincoln
Riley has ever had, and look at the offenses he's
had at Oklahoma USC.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
And I know a lot of these kids.

Speaker 5 (10:13):
It's just crazy that they go to college with all
this promise and they're not getting better on the defensive
side of the ball. They're not getting better offensively, They're
getting way better. And see better change it because I
know these kids in high school, they stay this way,
they not going to s C. They're not going to

(10:35):
s C. They better be kings of the portal because
you will not be getting these kids out here in
Southern California to commit to USC if y'all stayed this
win on defense. And the reason they get a lot
of them now is because of the daddies. The parents
always grew up to daddies right here, Charles up wanting

(10:57):
to go to USC and so in that's since they don't.
They basically forced they kids to go to see because
they wanted to go. The kids don't even be wanting
to go, they forced. I'm just telling you what I know.

Speaker 4 (11:10):
That's DJ Hushman's outa right there bringing the truth.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
That's Plexico Purris.

Speaker 4 (11:16):

man Cuffs, the legend. You may know him from some

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Don it's too long, all right?

Speaker 4 (12:35):
I will Hey man, that's kind of funny, all right, love,
Welcome back to the boy Game. We're live from tyrack
dot Com Studio, TJ. Hitchman, Zada Plexico, Burrs, LeVar Arrington.
Let's get an update from from is Low because we're
going to go to cuffs the legend. We're gonna talk
some roundball. But let's see what's going on in the

(12:57):
world of sports right now? What you got I Low, fellow.

Speaker 8 (13:00):
We will start in ann Arbor, where Indiana took a
seven to nothing lead at number two Michigan. On this
trick play.

Speaker 7 (13:08):
Lucas goes in motion to the near side where the
other three receivers are at.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Here's a quick throwout here. It's the Dodavan McCully.

Speaker 5 (13:15):
Mccully's gonna throw it down the field, hit us Dana
Lucas touch.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
What a plan.

Speaker 5 (13:22):
It was a lateral back to McCully and McCully bombs.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
It down the field to Lucas.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
For a forty four yard touchdown.

Speaker 8 (13:30):
Michigan came back to Tide on a one yard touchdown
run by Blake Krum. And right now Michigan is going
forward on a fourth down end goal at the Indiana
two yard line, and McCarthy just threw a touchdown pass
to a wide open receiver in the back of the
end zone, Roman Wilson, so with a conversion to follow.
Number two Michigan has just taken a thirteen to seven

(13:52):
lead over Indiana with three twenty four left in the
second quarter. Number one Georgia a fourteen to seven lead
at Vanderbilt with three forty nine left in the second quarter.
Third ranked Ohio State a twenty to nothing lead at Purdue,
five fifty eight left to play in the first half.
Fourth ranked Florida State up seventeen to three over Syracuse
with five minutes left to play in the second quarter.

(14:15):
Number eleven Alabama fell behind Arkansas six to nothing at
home today, but since then it's been all Crimson Tide.

Speaker 9 (14:23):
Now the snap, here's Mill Road loads up long, looks
half a man, ride open midfield, taking it to the house.
Kobe Prentice touchdown Olabama eighty yards and that's the way
to recover.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Right there.

Speaker 8 (14:43):
The call on WTBC, and that opened the floodgates because
Alabama now leading Arkansas twenty one to six with just
over a minute left to play in the first half.
One NFL note, the Cleveland Browns today officially elevated quarterback PJ.
Walker from their practice squad to the Browns active roster.
He will get the start tomorrow against the San Francisco
forty nine ers.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Fellas, Hey, Ilo, at your service.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Enjoy the rest of your day. Man, Hey, hey, your weekend.

Speaker 8 (15:10):
You as well. Absolutely you guys as well, Absolutely much appreciated.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
All right, buddy, all right, that's Isaac Low and Kron
with our sports updates. Uh as promised, we're gonna bring
him on. Calls himself the legend and then put cuffs
right before it. And then you have cuffs the legend.
That's right from some dude show on up on game presents.
Make sure you check them out and go check them
out on you know what on his social media handles

(15:37):
as well.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
What's happening c TL.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Bro, what's good man? It's NBA time. Man's right around
the corner and I can smell the popcorn.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
I'm glad you said that, because that's why you're here,
because you're the man the myth, the legend, to talk
about it and to do it. We got this whole
thing with James hard going on and let's you know,
tj you know plex lit'sten, you know, Cuffs, Let's take
a listen to what James had to say and let's
get some uh, let's get some opinions, some feedback on it.

Speaker 7 (16:11):
You got head to hear them.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
That whole thing was I wanted to the tire sixty,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
But I wanted to be here on Tyro sixty and.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Front office didn't have that an interest.

Speaker 6 (16:22):
Again, it's literally all.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Of my control and some of the I didn't. If
I didn't want to have a manage position, I gotta
make it a decision for you know, my family. I'm
so's a business, Cuffs.

Speaker 4 (16:36):
We'll start with you, man, I mean, what's your take
on this?

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Man?

Speaker 3 (16:41):
My thing with James is, I just want to know
what his legacy is. What does he want his legacy
to be, because he's in a perfect basketball situation with
Joel you know, returning MVP. You got Tyree's MAXI. Carl
Thomas made the song called Sohoy emotional and that's what
I see with James, like, he is so emotional. Man,

(17:04):
he's never been happy. Yeah, you're right, he's never happy.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
It's like he wasn't happy in Brooklyn when he played
with KD. He had Kyrie, nice trio that could have
did things. He wasn't happy. He wasn't happy in Houston.
Now he wanted to go back to Houston. That didn't happen.
Now he's in Philly with a dominant big man. Still
not happy. And it's like I said, I feel like
it's a perfect basketball fit for him, But I don't

(17:32):
know if he's really a winner.

Speaker 5 (17:33):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
And y'all guy's been around winners. Plassico won the Super Bowl,
LeVar U a legend, TJ. You played with with Chad Like,
y'all guys were dolls. Y'all was winners. It didn't matter
about the stats, it didn't matter about none of that stuff.
With James, it's like the opposite because they were saying
he wanted to go back to Houston because so he
can win another scoring title. Perhaps, like what who cares?

(17:56):
Who cares about a scoring title? We've seen you do
all that. But I think it's an ego thing, man,
where in his mind, you know, certain great players like
that do have big egos, and he still thinks he's
the twenty seventeen, twenty eighteen version of James Harden. That's
what he talks like. His ego is talking right now.
But he is a number two option at this stage

(18:17):
of his career. Man, So I just wish he'll humble
hisself because kids are watching, young players watching what gona be.

Speaker 5 (18:25):
What is the reason for his stance. Is it that
he didn't like the way he was being used or
is it the fact that Philadelphia said, we're not giving
you a max contract with the way you're playing.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
Yeah, that's what happens. It's like they made a backdoor deal.
You know, they probably told him, yeah, we're gonna pay you,
and then, like you said, they saw him not show
up in game seven. Well you know they had a
chance to really put the selfish away and go to
the game six. In game six, yeah, you're right, game six,
and then he didn't do nothing of those last two
games basically, So you know, Maury was sitting back thinking, like,

(19:02):
you know, he's got a great relationship. I know, I
winding don you to get you to come up here,
But man, they just got because that guy. No disrespect,
no disrespect at all. But like James Harden is like
a better version of like a Catino Mobley right now
at that stage, like he he can give you nights
where he can gives you thirty thirty five, He can

(19:23):
give you thirty five. If he showed in the Conference
in the semifinals against Boss, I think he had forty.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Two that game with forty he had forty five.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
Yeah, he had forty five. And it's like he can
do that, but he can only do that in spurts.
Now like the Houston Harden would give you a forty
ball any night because he was in great shape. Those
lungs were different. Them lungs were different. Man, the lungs
them lungs burning. Now you know what I'm like, You
get asked, Braun, Like the lungs are burning. Now, that's
what comes with age. Man. So I just think he

(19:51):
needs to humble hisself and if he's a winner, if
he wants to win, man, just ride it out with
MB and Philly the fans love you.

Speaker 6 (19:59):
Right, He's in the best situation in Philly if he
if he wants to contend to win an NBA championship.
But the only reason I can see him wanting to
go back to Houston because he's brilliantly going to be
the only person that can shoot the basketball because he's
gonna sca all the points. So that's that's the reason
why he wants to go back to Houston. But it
just like you said, I think what happened was that
him and Maury in that organization, man, they made the

(20:21):
backdoor deal, uh, you know, to you know, to give him.

Speaker 5 (20:25):
Especially he takes lax money packs the call when they
signed to give him J Tucker to give him a
max deal.

Speaker 6 (20:31):
But if they don't let the Boston Celtics out of
the building in Game six, then we're not having this conversation.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
I think that.

Speaker 6 (20:38):
I think that's what it all stems from. So if
he's saying that the relationship between the organization and more
is beyond repair, then I mean, if he's not going
to play basketball in Philadelphia, and what's the next move,
where is he going to play basketball at?

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Yeah, I think it's I think it's individual accolades. But
you know what I would love to see. I would
love to see two things happen. If if he can
go to Miami, I think I think he's scared of
the grind. He's scared of that situation.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
No, he doesn't have it to play in Miami. Man,
y'all just really killing Harden. I don't like that.

Speaker 5 (21:12):
I don't like I don't like him in Miami at
all because James grime. He does not He don't play.
Defense is about physicality, rebounding and playing.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
Da But you know he don't do to go to Miami.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
You know what comes with it, you know what comes
with playing with the Miami he.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
I would love to see him in that he culture,
just to see if he's about that life, is what
I'm saying, And I don't think he is. So the
only alternative to make James Harden happy because everybody wants
to be loved, right all athletes to tell you this,
the stars, everybody on the rocks, they want some love.
So if he wants love and he don't feel like
Philly show him enough love, why not just go back

(21:57):
to OKC and ride out to the sunset where you
all started with the young boys.

Speaker 6 (22:02):
Be a mentor and Josh, we all get to a
certain point as athletes, and we gotta be honest with
ourselves and look at ourselves and they made and be
honest and say, you know what, I'm no longer.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
The player that I used to be exactly. And I
think that's one of the things.

Speaker 6 (22:19):
That he's having some issue with his ego and pride
and all those things.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
In a way.

Speaker 6 (22:23):
Listen, I'm sure Carmelo Anthony would love to be playing
basketball right now, but he's not the Carmelo that we
have been accustomed to seeing when he was in Denver
and playing in New York. Every every chapter comes to
an end when he has to realize that he's not
the two or three four time leading NBA scoring title

(22:46):
James Hard that he was seven years ago.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
So maybe.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
It's like that mean plague. It's like that mean when
they say you're not that guy. You're not that guy anymore?

Speaker 1 (22:55):
May not And it's fine.

Speaker 5 (22:57):
We still be hard, you know what I mean, Like
I still I still got crazy little for him.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
But dog, you're just not that guy anymore. Give me
forty and fifty.

Speaker 4 (23:08):
Wow, all right, well, James Harden, you've just got a
lot of dirt poured on top of you, that's in
the coffin and in the ground yet, but it seems
as though you're dead on up on game.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Hey, man, Hey, we can bring them on the show.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
Follow that, hey, which means that this topic is did
as well. Let's let's move on. What else is going
on of note to discuss in the NBA right now? Cuffs,
what's what's hot on your your radar?

Speaker 3 (23:36):
On my radar right now? Man, I gotta be honest.
I know a lot of Elio Laker fans listening to
the show man out on the West Coast. I just
want to say, personally, excuse me to the Laker fans.
Two Laker Nation number five is coming. Go ahead the
party city, Go to the party city.

Speaker 5 (23:53):
Gone a minute, back back it up, back it up,
number five?

Speaker 3 (23:58):
What bron Lebron about to get his fifth ring this year?
So I want everybody to go to come on to
the party city, get to the party what you want?

Speaker 1 (24:08):
T last night drinking up? You see, I'm just gonna
look at them.

Speaker 5 (24:14):
TJ was smoking a drinking so well, man, bron gonna
get his number five.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
And it shouldn't he stated that Cups is a known
and and the Weakers fan, you know it shouldn't be stated.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
What the Western Conference is looking like right now?

Speaker 3 (24:31):
Come home, man, the Golden State Warriors, the Golden State Warriors.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
He ain't talking about Golden State.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
But look as currently constructed, they don't have anything for
the Lakers. The Phoenix Suns booker Bill Kd. I love
those guys. I'm fans of all those guys, but it's
too many little shoulders on the Sun.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
They don't have shoulders.

Speaker 5 (24:51):
So so you think you think the Lakers can be
defending Sons in the seven game series.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
It'll probably go six or seven. But I'm telling.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
You and and the Nugget and the Nuggets. I ain't
mentioned the numbers one man.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
I didn't mention the Nuggets because you don't, Okay, I don't.
I don't think they replaced Bruce Brown. They didn't replace
those guys on the team, like Jeff Green. They're gonna
miss those guys.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
And that's a good point.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
Target The target is on their back this year, so
it's gonna be different when you're being hunted this year.
And I think the Lakers have so much more size.
Christian Wood right now, Christian Wood looking good plaques, who
Mac mac Christie, Austin Reied is gonna be a potential
all started.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Aren't you guys?

Speaker 4 (25:32):
And TJ you could chime in on this too, But cuffs,
aren't y'all basing this off of Anthony Davis being a
part of the games and playing.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
Yeah, has to be healthy. We know that.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Okay, so is playing sixty games this year. That's the NAFE.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
Is that a big contingency that a d can actually
be available for them to win it all?

Speaker 1 (25:52):
I mean, isn't that all the best teams your best players?

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Hey, no, Katie, yes what you're saying, yes, but but
Anthony is even that he don't play.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
They gets hurt and he gets hurt.

Speaker 5 (26:03):
Mound Of said two weeks ago day he wants to
play in all eighty two games.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
We don't need him in eighty two. We just need
him in six.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
Fine, in the teams, his brain is saying that these
hips ankles toes.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
I don't think those is agreeing with him.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
Come on, eighty is back. He's gonna play. He's gonna
play like sixty five where he's.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
Been at for the last few years.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
They're not need him. They're not gonna need him for
eighty two this year because in Japanese Jordan's Morris here,
who forget more.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
He's pretty good, he's pretty good. He's pretty good. I
like his game.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
I want to I want to leave y'all with this though.
I want to leave y'all with this man. The spicy
thing that I'm seeing right now is Victor winbin Yama. Bro.
It looked like he looks like a seven foot four
Tracey McGrady to me right now.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Oh wow, my greatness, that's my favorite player.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
He is highlight what he's done like last night, man,
like washed the highlights from last night, like bro, Like
he's gonna have moments every single night, whether it's a
defensive rotation, shot blocking, just the way he can cover
ground at that size, like washing the highlights from last night,
Like the way he covers ground on both ends of
the floor. He did a euro step from the three

(27:18):
point line and dump. I've never seen that.

Speaker 5 (27:24):
I've never seen a euro from take it out.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
Yeah, they called Chris stap porzingis Porzingi's been labeled a
unicorn many years ago and he didn't really live up
to that. But I pray to this kid stays healthy
because Victor I think he is really the basketball unicorn
we was gonna get a chance.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
To really see. Wow. Let me ask you about Boston.

Speaker 4 (27:49):
They you know the last time we talked, I kind
of felt like, you know, losing Smart is a hurt piece,
but they've since added Drew Holiday and and just just
seeing that that him filled that void. I've I've always
felt Brown and Tatum were players that are are Megas

(28:12):
megastar players, no doubt, but I don't know that they
had the personality to be that that person that wills
them to that that next level, that that leadership quality
or that dog that it's like they're going to get
you to go to the next level. I don't know
that that's Drew Holliday, but from all reports I've heard

(28:34):
about him, he very much has that type of leadership
brand and resume that he brings to the table. And
clearly he brings a toughness and a hard nosedness like
almost like a you know, like a PJ. Tucker, but
he can facilitate. He can facilitate with the ball. And
I feel like this gives now to me. It now

(28:57):
puts them back in the conversation of winning the East
and then not just being a fore gone conclusion that
Milwaukee'll do it.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Yeah, I think I think I agree with everything you say.
I think Drew Halliday like he puts them over. I
put them over the Bucks slightly because of him, because
Tatum and Brown being heavy ISO scorers their whole career
and they never had somebody just to get them easier.
Look like you said, facilitate. I think Drew Holliday is
really going to bring that man, and I see him

(29:25):
stepping into more of a like a Rondo role as
far as their leadership and like you said, being a
vocal leader because he has that championship pedigree, in that
championship respect because they've seen him win a championship. So Tatum, Brown,
those guys are gonna be all ears this year, like
really locking in. Like Malcolm Broaden. They got him last
year to be that guy, but he was injured here
and there. It wasn't really a seamless fit because Broaden

(29:49):
does have certain limitations offensively, Drew Holliday can get you
twenty five thirty some nights. He'll sneak up on you
and cook you some nights. But I just think it's
a perfect piece man. Like they've been missing this for
a while since Fron, since Rondo.

Speaker 6 (30:02):
It is that they definitely have two elite defenders uh
in the backcourt with Jalen Brown and Drew Holiday. So
we're gonna see how they match up.

Speaker 5 (30:12):
Police.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Like you said about A d staying healthy with Boston,
it's gonna come down to KP. Por Zingers. He gotta
stay healthy because that's been a knock on him every year.
Last year he was great in Washington, but we know
Boston are different type of pressure, different type of pressure.
It's almost like l A pressure. So I want to
see Porzingis because he looking He looking real good right
now in the preseason.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Kay, anything else? T J Plas, Oh yeah, ay, cuffs?

Speaker 6 (30:41):
Hey, man off to say, off the drugs man, there's
no way.

Speaker 5 (30:44):
Related the Colorado.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
We come, we comment.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
Black.

Speaker 5 (30:55):
I'm going I'm going Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks and
NBA Finals.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
Mettle shoulders. That showed us too little, man, showed us
too little.

Speaker 5 (31:06):
Hey, I know, hey, I know what the set of
the little shoulders can do.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
They gonna prove it. Who you got the final coff?
Who you got in the finals? Cuff?

Speaker 3 (31:22):
Oh, I got I got the l A Lakers of course.
And I'm going with the selfies. Man, I want to
see the bat. I want to see that battle for
the eighteenth banner.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
That's what I have as well. That's what Yeah.

Speaker 5 (31:34):
These La Laker guys, man, everybody's on the Celtic. They
speak the same language. They agree with each other. Eighties
gonna play seventy games.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
I mean, come on, man, you gotta stop.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
Ad is going to be the Defensive Player of the Year,
if anything. He wants that award.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
Man, y'all are really on something out there. You said
a D wants Defensive Player of the Year.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
He wants. I know that for a fact.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
He was.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
He been getting He's been getting jerk the last couple
of years. They had a preheating pole.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
By what.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
They had a pole the other day about the defensive
players of the year who the best, like leading candidates.
They had him receiving votes. He wasn't even a top
four or five in the in the pole. So he's motivated.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
Good thing is on paper.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
So y'all think he's going to retire to the nickname
Street Close, Street Closed David.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
That ain't gonna be his thing this year.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
No, it's all day a D. All day a D
is bad.

Speaker 4 (32:29):
You know that there was an all day a D
that played football that was kind of where that that
nickname came from.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
He played a lot of games.

Speaker 4 (32:35):
I'm just I'm just thoroughly perplexed that y'all really had
faith in the fact that he's going to be able
to stay healthy enough.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
To have that new season.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
Knew him, I believe. Man, it's something special about this team.
Y'all dead series right now. It's some serious about this team.
He's smiling. You seen Broun last night. He went and
changed middle of the game and he on the bench
eating fruit bowls.

Speaker 5 (32:56):
Hey, it's something different by my New York Giants team.
They smiling in there and all that. If they smiling,
it's a problem. They got none to smile. They smiling
some different Mothers team. They just ain't the same results.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
This is gonna be so much fun. I tell you what.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
Buckle up, y'all out there, because this is gonna be
a fun ride here because that that is he TJ.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
You got a teammate now like your your Lakers.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
Now you you have a teammate here where you got
some support with when we tell you, you out your
mind for thinking that the Lakers is gonna be good.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
So there you go. You got cuffs on your team,
cups you.

Speaker 5 (33:41):
Candy apples, candy apples, normal apples.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Candy Hey, hey, t.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
J, got a plug on them, them candy apples, them
them sweet them sweet tasting apples.

Speaker 1 (33:56):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (33:56):
So, you know, maybe it'll hook you up because y'all,
you know, y'all Laker buddies.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Now, y'all y'all Lakers.

Speaker 5 (34:02):
You know, for my birthday, Fox sent me some a
bunch of cookies from Cookie Society Smash though.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
Yeah, thank you, Fox. I appreciate it. I should a
few weeks ago. Thank you, thank you, thank you at
them all. It's funny. It comes to legend. Man is
from some dude show.

Speaker 4 (34:19):
Make sure you check him out up on Game Presents
is where you can find them. His content, as you
could tell, is fire. He's the dude Cups. We appreciate you.
Man probably had you back on next week, you know,
so we'll.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
Talk to you soon anytime. Man stride for five Lakers,
Lakers and.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
Five bro oh my gosh. All right, well, have a
great day, cuffs and enjoy yourself.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
And uh, you know what, if it comes time for
me and Plex to do an intervention on you and TJ,
you will do just that. But on the other side
of this break, you know what it is up on
Game down on Game as I continue to dominate TJ
and Plexico on these picks.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
We'll take quick break, but we'll be right back. All right.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
It's Fox Sports Radio. All right, welcome back into the show.
This is up on Game st J Huchman's Eyes, plexco Burst.
I'm LeVar Arrington. If you missed anything, make sure you
check us out wherever it is that you get your
podcast that's up on Game and you can check out
up on Game Presents where you're able to hear guys
like Cuff's legend. You could check out Burn Factory coach

(35:19):
Randy Taylor on recruiting, so so many great things going
on there. And we added coach Franklin from Penn State
my weekly conversations. The audio will be available on up
on Game Presents if you like coach Franklin and hearing
what he has to say. We were going to do
up on Game down on game but you know what,

(35:40):
it was brought to my attention that and it was
correctly brought to my attention that we needed to pivot
and make a move and let some receivers talk about
some receivers. If y'all know what I mean, so here's
a treat for you guys that are listening, a bonus
treat because well, we weren't even going to make.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
It to the topic.

Speaker 4 (35:58):
But let's talk about Steve's Smith and Jerry Judy the
situation that took place. Do we have the audio, bow,
Let's let's set it up with the audio that took
place with Steve Smith and what he had to say
about Jerry Judy. But then it came out, you know,
obviously people were weighing in Jerry, Jerry Judy weighed in

(36:21):
and responded to the critics. The two that were the
most notable critics were Mark Schliff and Steve Smith. So
let's let's check out what Steve Smith had to say,
and and then we'll comment on what Jerry Judy had
to say, and then we'll just go from there.

Speaker 7 (36:39):
For a short while ago, yeah, Broncos wide receiver Jerry
Judy was walking by and Steve called out to him.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
He got a different reaction.

Speaker 10 (36:46):
I called out to him because on my podcast cut
to it, I just talked about guys that maybe have
not showed up in a way or in the manner,
and so they weren't that I've used to describe him
in the past.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
Was a jag.

Speaker 10 (37:01):
Just they got again, and so when I saw him,
he's playing well.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
I wanted to say to.

Speaker 10 (37:07):
Him face to face, like, hey, I know I said
some things in the past I probably shouldn't have and
I'm sorry. That's what I wanted to say to him.
His response, Mike, Robb and Bucky was ninja ninja. Yes,
I'm using the word ninja's I'm just using the word ninja.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
I don't mess with you. And it was like it
was a curse word, and so I.

Speaker 10 (37:30):
Was like, all right, and then he repeated it, so
I'll say it again. I'm sorry that I said you
were a jag, just a guy who's an average wide
receiver they used the first round.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
Pick on that isn't doing anything.

Speaker 10 (37:40):
I hope today that you actually show up in a
way that you haven't showed up in the last couple
of years since they draft you. So if you ever
got a problem with aged eighty nine, I'm sorry for
saying that you're an average wide receiver that they eventually
will move on. And when teams called me and asking
should they trade for you, I will say no, don't
trade for Jerry Judy because he's unable to handle constructive

(38:03):
criticism from people who watch. Specifically, can he be a
wide receiver. He could be a wide receiver. He's a
Tier three. Go back into the studio.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
I'm done that.

Speaker 4 (38:12):
You can cut it there, TJ. You want to chime
in on this first, I just feel like.

Speaker 5 (38:20):
Number one, that's Steve's opinion, and so me, this is
just my opinion on the entire situation. When I was
a player and guys made it personal with me, or
if I felt it was personal when I saw that guy,
I was gonna say something. Steve the same way, and

(38:42):
so me being in the media now, I will never
make it personal with a player because I don't want.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
That type of relationship. I don't want to be the old.

Speaker 5 (38:55):
Guy man when you played and now that you're not
playing this, I don't want to be that guy.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
But we have a job to do.

Speaker 5 (39:02):
And that's how Steve's Steve Smith feels about Jerry Judy.
Me personally, I think Jerry Judy can play. Drew Locke
was his quarterback. Now he has the Russell Wilson. That's
not the Russell Wilson of old. He needs to change
the scenery the way he's playing, Steve is correct, but
I believe if he was in a different situation, he

(39:23):
would play better. That's just my opinion what Jerry Judy
handled it in a way that Steve would probably handle
it had he been playing. And somebody said that about
him as well. Let's not forget that what you think
real quick.

Speaker 6 (39:37):
But one minute, I agree with TJ saying if he
was in a different situation, then obviously his results will
be a lot better. But Stek speaking on Steve Smith,
this is the same person who when I went into
free agency and I was to visit the Carolina Panthers,
he came out and said he did not want to
play with me, and they had some younger wide receivers

(40:00):
that they wanted that needed to work and get it uh,
that they wanted to work and get better with. So
so when he say he makes things personal.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
He does.

Speaker 6 (40:12):
And when he said when when he said that in
the media, I didn't even take the trip to UH
to the killin Panther because I'm saying, like, wow, uh,
maybe he's more concerned about being better getting food taken
out of his mouth than pursuing a championship. So I
never went on to visit. I said, you know, I'll
take my talent somewhere else, and and history shows we

(40:35):
went on to win a championship.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
So he can he can be a personal guy.

Speaker 6 (40:39):
But just like the teacher said in the media, and
he's supposed to be lifting these young men up and
you know, and giving them encouragement and motivating them. And
he's not in the best situation to where he can
show his true ability and to be somewhere better.

Speaker 4 (40:52):
All right, that's Plexico Burgs, that's t J. Huschman's outter.
I'm LeVar Arrington. You got Jonas Knox show coming up
