Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports.

Let me look at the mugs over here. You look
like you're raring to go, rare in to freaking go
over here. Ohio State against Michigan and fresh off of
ball yesterday, a healthy portion of ball on a black

(00:47):
Friday here.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Yeah, no doubt about it.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
How about how about Oregon knocking off Oregon State unnecessary win,
a big win. I've got an opportunity to see Oregon
State in person in Corvallis this season. That's a that's
an angry Beaver team. That's that's a group that Jonathan Smith,
we were talking about this a little bit last week,

(01:09):
has really got running and and Ouyungalil.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
A decent season.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
I think he's done a lot to revive his image
a year a year in Oregon State. But the Ducks Man,
that's a real football team, playing real good football on
both sides of the ball, holding them to seven points,
scoring thirty one. Bow Knicks looked great. That was probably
the highlight of the games or the slate that we
had on Friday.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
Yeah, and my bon Knicks Heisman ticket is one win away.
Maybe one win away. I think Oregon is a team
that maybe in a game against Georgia potentially in a
collegeable playoff, or one of those Big ten winners, or
perhaps Alabama, that number, that point spread would be a

(01:56):
little bit closer than I think some people might think.
I don't know exactly what the number would be, but
I can tell you that Oregon's probably going to be
a seven point favorite next week against Washington. And remember
Washington was favorite the first time around. So it is
an interesting Pac twelve road here as we get a
rematch of those two teams that played a thriller like

(02:19):
a month or two ago in Seattle, and we'll get
that rematch here in Vegas next Friday, and then the
rest of the picture will formulate. Today there's a big
ten contender still to be eliminated, and there's an ACC,
a couple of ACC games of note one especially that's
you know, Florida, Florida State. That's going to kind of

(02:39):
determine how that rest of the ACC picture shapes out.
But just an interesting, just an interesting week here as
we get ready for the final conference championship games next week.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Man, I'll tell you what the bo Knicks ticket, the
Heisman ticket right there, Jared, like you said, is oh
so close huge next week against Washington. That could be
Pennis Junior versus bow Knicks for the Heisman. It would
be beneficial if the Texas A and m Aggie show
up defensively against Jayden Daniels today just a little bit right,

(03:13):
like maybe hold them in check is a little bit
big argument, cause yeah, absolutely old.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
Do you think it matters?

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Though? Is the question?

Speaker 6 (03:20):
Like?

Speaker 5 (03:21):
If Oregon wins and Daniels throws for ten touchdown passes
today and Oregon still wins next week, do you think
they give it to Daniels.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
I don't know that they give it to him, but
it definitely matters. You know, if he just goes ballistic today,
I think it still will matter.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
Daniel's overs today maybe so A.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
And m sneakily pretty good defense, pretty good defense this season,
So I do think it matters. But man, it really
helps if you're backing either Pennix Junior or Bo Knicks,
whichever one comes out on top. If they shine and
Jaydon Daniels isn't in uniform, LSU has no opponent next week,
that absolutely helps your heisman.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Cause yeah, yeah, when we go back to the futures
and we start looking at some of these futures bets
we put in to start the college football season, one
of my regrets, well, I guess he can't even call
it regret, but looking back on that Jordan Travis, that
that heisman run absolutely that that is that is one

(04:21):
that was right there.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Yeah, I won't say, I won't.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Say I can't I regret it because you can't predict injuries.
But what a way for that to go down. And
most importantly, I feel for the athlete like Jordan Travis.
Things outside of his control, his schedule, his conference. You know,
I guess you could choose to go to a bigger school,
so you know, you could rewind the clock three years

(04:45):
ago when he decided. But outside of some of the
things he can't control. The things he could control, he
was doing an incredible job with and that's an undefeated
team and so you know, it's just one of those
things where the the narrative would have put so much
focus on an undefeated Florida State team with a Heisman

(05:06):
candidate as a quarterback that I'm curious if, almost as
a consolation prize, if Florida State wasn't going to be
welcome to the CFP and play and be one of
the top four teams and it was based on strength
of schedule, if they would have given Jordan Travis to Heisman.
And I'm not saying given it to him because obviously

(05:28):
it's voted on, but you know what I mean, Like,
I wonder if that would have curried him some more
favor as almost like a consolation prize to the program
and to the athlete, saying like, hey, you did everything
you could. Here's here's the next best thing, Florida State.
You get to walk away with a Heisman winner.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
I don't think that's how the Heisman works. No, No,
I don't know it's a consolation prize. Well, here's what
I do think about this season with Florida State, especially,
they're kind of the new blood right, Like every year
there's like the more things it's wild to fathom this,
but this is the last week the record season, like
Regan season's over, and it's every year like the more

(06:08):
things change, the more things stay the same. It's Georgia
and Alabama playing. One of those teams is gonna go
maybe both teams are gonna go to the playoff. Like
that seems like every year, constant the Big Ten has
their winner. Constant, we'll get the Higo State Michigan winner,
and we'll flash forward and say that that team will
beat Iowa next week and they'll go to the playoff.
Oregon and Florida State are kind of the new bloods,

(06:29):
right or Washington that's kind of the new bloods. We
haven't seen one of those teams in the playoff yet,
so there's excitement around that anytime you get one of
those teams that hasn't made a trip recently. I know
Washington went a few years back, got their butts kicked
by Bama. Florida State went few years back and won
it with Winston, but recently we haven't seen those teams
in so it's exciting to see new blood and new
new you know players that we haven't seen it, compete

(06:51):
for the count role, playoff, new coaches, how they handle
the moment. And I think that's what makes this year
exciting because we'll get the Oregon Washington winner and I
think we're gonna rin. I think Florida State's gonna rally
around Rodamaker today. I think they're gonna beat Florida. And
then I think I think they have enough to get
through the a SEC Championship, and I hope the committee
does the right thing and puts them in and not
downgrade them because of Travis being out. Obviously, without Travis,

(07:13):
they're not a top four team, but the resume still
speaks for itself up to this point. So again, the
last week of the record, weird things happen, But I
think I feel confident in saying the five slash six
teams with the big ten B and the asterisks there
that we're gonna see in in the playoff and giddy up, baby.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
It was wild yesterday too, you know, just the cliffs
notes little bullet point version here. Oklahoma scores sixty nine
points against TCU is like holy, the lowest total this
century in the Iowa. Nebraska going under it was twenty
five and a half under still hits at thirteen.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
I don't get it. That's the crazy low enough.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
I think twenty three guys reason number maybe.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Twenty five, twenty three and a hook.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
I heard twenty three would have pushed.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
But like that's like, that's the we have reached. We
finally reached the floor. Right. It opened at like thirty
and that all the way down now we's seen it
twenty three.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
How about Missouri too, top ten team. They crush Arkansas
forty eight to fourteen yesterday, your Nitney Lions with a
shutout TUFE Michigan State.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
Of course, they cover their big favorites. They're bullies.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
They almost hit the over by themselves. Yeah, forty two
to nothing. What a what a season for Sparti man,
and then the night cap. I'm so impressed, not only
with bow Knicks, but Oregon's defense man. Oregon State has
been able to run it on everybody this season, and
Oregon was like, we're gonna give you fifty three yards rushing. Wow,
that's it, that's all you get. Rely on dju if

(08:51):
he can take it to the Promised Land. God bless you.
Fifty three yards giving up on the ground. That's sensational
from the Ducks team.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
That's a real, real run back in Damian Martinez, like
a real dude, and Oregon was able to shut him
down and anything they tried really didn't work. Planned QB runs,
you know, DJU trying to do things on his own
on broken pass plays. It just it just all kind
of fell apart from him. And that's exactly how I'd

(09:18):
scheme it up. If I had the guys to do it,
and I was playing against an Oregon State I would say, Okay,
let's let ouiyungala La beat us with her with his arm.
If he can, you know, let's see him do it that.
If I'm a defensive coordinator and I've got some guys
like Oregon does, I've got some guys to play with,

(09:38):
I'm going to make my game plan to shut down
the run game.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
And they did that.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
The Oregon State Beavers were only able to put sixty
three excuse me, fifty three rushing yards up on the Ducks,
and that was an incredible performance by their defense. And yeah,
it's just another feather in the hat for bow Nicks
and Dan Lanning and an Oregon team with the real
shot to win it all.

Speaker 5 (10:01):
If this is how if it's gonna play out the
way I expected to play out, this is how I think.
I this is how I'd like to see a play out.
I'd like to see the Ohio State Michigan winner be
the two seed, right I think I think Georgia winning
locks up the one. But I'm thinking to myself, if
Alabama wins that game, is Georgia the three or the four?

(10:22):
Because let's be honest, Georgia is in no matter what, guys,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
They might be the five.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
I don't know, Okay, okay.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
I don't know if they're in if they lose Tobama
because there's just so much.

Speaker 5 (10:32):
I think. How they lose matters, how they lose matters.
If it's thirty one to twenty eight, George's in. If
it's thirty one to ten, maybe not. But I would
really like to see Oregon not have to be the
you know, the SEC sacrifice in the in the semis

(10:53):
like flash forwarding and expecting Oregon being favored next week
if they win that game, and even if they don't
win it with margin, let's say they just win by
field goal. I'm hoping that it's enough to leapfrog them
over Florida State because I think the committee might downgrade
Florida State because of the Travis thing. And if they
do get in, they'll be the four even if they

(11:15):
blow out whoever in the AC title. But I'd like
to see Oregon play the Big ten winner in the semis.
I think that would be a fantastic semi final. It
would remind me of the like Oregon's like the TCU
of last year.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Right.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
I think they're better though than TCU, so I think
that's what makes the semis and a potential game against
Georgia Alabama very interesting. Organ's legit, like top ten on
both ends, like they are legit, and I don't think
enough people realize how good they might be because they
haven't been in the playoff all year. So really interesting
situation with the Ducks. They haven't been in the top
four all season, but I think they might be the

(11:50):
best team of the non secs, which is wild to think.
As we move forward to next week.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
They very well could be. It's funny this time of year,
just without fail clockwork, it's these what if nightmare chaotic
scenarios like what if Bama wins and what if this
happens and what and almost every year I roll my
eyes and I'm like, guys, it's not gonna be nearly
as chaotic as it could be. Remember this season, though,

(12:17):
this season, I feel is different. I think they're gonna
be one, maybe two teams with playoff worthy resumes that
don't get into the playoff.

Speaker 5 (12:26):
Texas is the one. I think that is they have
no I don't think they can get in.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
That's look at their resumes. I know you though, man
is I know we get a little arch man in glimpse.
Last night they put up fifty seven on Texas Tech.
Their one blemish is the last second win from Dylan
Gabriel and Oklahoma.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
It's their only blemish and that might keep them out.
It's crazy.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
Oklahoma hasn't been good.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
Just remember those those officials. They're hired by the NCAA
so you can you can get outcomes you want. It's
pretty easy to blow the whistle and throw flat. You
can find holding on every single play. Somebody's holding. That's
all I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (13:05):
Rich you were never holding, You never.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
Held, Okay, okay, Jared Jared honestly true admission here. I
held on every single play on my entire collegiate NFL career.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
I'm it feels good to come clean. It feels so man.

Speaker 5 (13:20):
It changes so many games that I watch Now I
just downgrade all the performances that I thought Rich was
just my hero in college, and now he's a big.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Fat holder, just a cheater out there fatholder. There's an
art to it, you know, there's an art to it.
I felt like, it's okay, it's okay, it's now I'm
starting to hook him, let him go. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (13:41):
It's like me at the buffet at the Thanksgiving the fan,
like I'm going after that pop guy. No, no, no more,
no more punkin Bye Jared, no more, stay off the pumpkin.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Les Go Big Ten Matchup of the Day.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Man, you talk about high freaking stakes, not just high stakes,
high freaking stakes. Here today we got eleven and zero
versus eleven and zero Ohio State against Michigan. Guys, I
don't see how the loser gets into the playoff, right,
You don't make your conference championship game, certainly don't win

(16:51):
your conference championship game. If your eye to eye with
another team that has one loss who won their conference
champion I don't know how the loser of Ohio State
Michigan is gonna sneak in there. When you think of
it from that perspective, it just makes this matchup that
much bigger on top of the bitter rivalry that it is.

(17:13):
Like I say, high freaking stakes today, gentlemen.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
No doubt, no doubt. I mean perfectly stated. This is
the big ten championship game. So if you're waiting until
the Hawkeys take on one of these two teams, you're
you're doing the wrong thing. This is it, This is
the whole show. This is the biggest game of the
regular season. Two undefeated teams facing off each other each

(17:36):
other couldn't be juicier. And then on top of it,
there's controversy. So if you're you're more narrative driven than
you are football driven. Harbaugh's not gonna be patrolling the
sideline and will that tilt things in favor of Ohio
State today as a result? I mean, this is just
sink your teeth in. This is the best football burger

(17:58):
we got to eat this entire football season. It served
up Week thirteen.

Speaker 5 (18:02):
Yeah, the history here says Michigan is a chance to
do something they haven't done since the last time they
won the national title. So again, you know, it all
comes full circle, right. They haven't won three straight in
this series since ninety seven, which is the last time
they won the national title. They win today, they'll win
their third straight over at their bitter rival. The total
is intriguing here, and I bet the under at forty

(18:24):
seven a little earlier in the week. It's kind of
still sitting in that range my guess as we close
around forty six. But we've had nine straight overs in
this series, so ter, you know, I bet the under.
This is the first time in about six years we've
had a total in the forties. So again, this game
will look and feel very different than what we've seen
in recent form, where it was last year five touchdowns

(18:48):
of forty or more yards in this game. I mean,
it was up and down the field all game long.
I don't think that's the case here. I think Michigan's
offense is a real red flag. JJ McCarthy. Maybe he hurt,
Maybe he's hurt, maybe he's just bad. He's completed twelve
passes in the last six quarters. He hasn't been a
touchdown pass in almost a month. And on Ohio State's

(19:09):
offensive side, when they've managed up this year. You know, Brian,
you remember that game against Notre Dame. We remember the
game against Penn State. They really struggled to move it,
couldn't run it. So I don't really know where the
offense is gonna come from here. Some quarterback's gonna have
to make some fantastic plays. But which one do you trust?
McCord or McCarthy. Frankly, I don't trust either of them.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Yeah, I hear what you're saying. McCord has been much
better as of late than McCarthy has. Like you said, Jared,
like this guy hasn't thrown a touchdown pass in the
last three games. He didn't throw a pass in the
second half against Enn State. And it wasn't just this
dominant Michigan running game against Penn State, that wasn't the case.
They just couldn't protect JJ McCarthy and their best bet

(19:50):
was just to pound the rock. That blows my mind.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
What was it?

Speaker 2 (19:54):
Thirty two rushing attempts in the second half, only one
pass play and there was a penalty he that negated
the play technically six quarters?

Speaker 5 (20:04):
What is this air force?

Speaker 2 (20:06):
I know, I know it's crazy, and yet Jaje. You
look at Kyle McCord on the other side. Eight passing touchdowns,
one interception the last three games. Marvin Harrison Junior is
just unbelievable. So you know, when I'm looking at this matchup,
I hear you on the total while you're looking to
the under there, Jared, I look at grabbing the points.

(20:28):
This Michigan offense hasn't been the same the last couple
of games with no Jim Harbaugh. I don't see them
doing major damage today against Ohio State. I'm going to
scoop those points and take the three in the hook, Okay.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
Kind of going by bye here from the last ten
minutes or so.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
I'll take the three. Yeah, I'll scoop.

Speaker 5 (20:44):
But it seems like the market is agreeing with your
sentiment based off of the move this morning.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
Yeah, yeah, what's wild about this matchup?

Speaker 4 (20:53):
If you really think about college football football, you know,
professional football, high school football, it does no matter what
level we're talking about. Both of the quarterbacks on eleven
to zero football teams that can buy for a national
championship run, neither of them have a real Heisman candidate
at quarterback.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
Like JJ McCarthy. I'm sorry, it's not winning it.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
You can't have those two games like you mentioned, the
second half against Penn State and then going non existent
against Maryland virtually and getting the win there in a
close game against the Turps, and then com McCord is
a top fifty quarterback, I mean top forty.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Maybe, Like he's good, he's not great.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
He's never been in the Heisman candidate conversation. So it's
just interesting. It's it truly does feel like a Big
ten battle like this is. This game is gonna be
won by playing great defense and possessing the ball.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
It is very much so throwback.

Speaker 5 (21:51):
Yeah, it really is. And it McCord like, it's kind
of funny because the efficiency numbers tell me McCord is
a top ten QB and QB, but the eye tests
not even close. And then if you go at layer deeper,
if you remove two plays, which is the dropped interception
late against Notre Dame and the defensive score against Penn

(22:13):
State that was called back because of a holding, a
very controversial holding, those two plays against their two biggest wins,
Notre Dame in Ohio State. I mean, the whole narrative
is different on Kyle McCord. So I think you look
at what Ohio State has had CJ. Stroud justin fields,
even like A JT. Barrett, I think are ahead of

(22:34):
where McCord was at this stage. And I again that's
why I really like the under here, because I just
I don't see it with McCord. Ohio State's weapons are healthy.
Henderson looked good last week against Minnesota, and Harrison's a
stud and a BUKA, and Stover looked healthy. My guess
is they tried to scheme out Harrison Easier said than done.
But for Michigan's offense, Roman Wilson got hurt last week

(22:57):
against Maryland. He is like the only receiver they have,
and their left tackle got banged up. They're all supposed
to play today. I'm sure they all will play biggest game.
Of the year. But what do they have? And then
Jim Knowles on the other side, man all State's defense
might they might be the best defense in the country.
Like that scheme has taken some time. This is the
second year of Jim Knowles. That scheme is legit. And

(23:18):
they don't have like a stud pat Like, they don't
have like a number one pick type guy. It's very
much scheme and I would be surprised if someone got
into the thirties today in this game.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Well hey, and think about this too, where going back
to the Penn State game, the running game was able
to take pressure off of JJ McCarthy. Let's say that's
not the case today. Yeah, right, Imagine if it's like
Oregon last night and they're like, we're giving you fifty
three yards rushing, go ahead and try to beat us
with dju yep, right. What if Ohio State is able

(23:50):
to say that today? That's the question to me, how
much can Blake Korum and Donovan Edwards how much can
they do in the running game to take pressure off
of JJ McCarthy, Because if they can't do that and
there's more pressure on him in that passing attack, I
mean that very well could be advantage Ohio State if
that's the only way Michigan can really run, really move

(24:12):
the ball. So that's something to watch for in the matchup.
He We'll have much more on this as we go
through the morning, but right now we've got a healthy
dose of Isaac Loewen Krown. Okay, this is like warm ups.
This is like Thanksgiving lunch slash dinner all in one.

(24:34):
It's the best of both worlds. I love how you doing.

Speaker 9 (24:37):
I am doing great, Fellows, Thank you so much. We
are precisely two hours and forty two minutes away now
from kickoff. Ann Ann Arbor, number three Michigan hosting second
ranked Ohio State. They're one hundred and nineteenth all time,
meeting both teams eleven and OH eight and oh in
the Big Ten. Meanwhile, on Friday night, six ranked Oregon

(24:59):
if He had a Number six Oregon State thirty one
to seven to advance to the Pac twelve championship game
against the Washington Huskies. Seventh rank Texas blew out Texas
Tech fifty seven to seven, and number eleven Penn State
whated Michigan State forty two to nothing. We've got some
fresh NFL news regarding yesterday's Jets Dolphins game. In fact,

(25:20):
a couple of items following up on Yesterday's Jets Dolphins game.
On Black Friday a short time ago, Jets said coach
Robert Sala said that Tim Boyle will once again start
at quarterbacks for the Jets next week against the Atlanta Falcons.
And finally, at electronics company called TCL announced that it

(25:41):
would give away one million dollars worth of ninety eight
inch led big screen TVs if there was a touchdown
of ninety eight yards or more in yesterday's Jets Dolphins game.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
Yep.

Speaker 9 (25:58):
Of course, Javon of the Dolphins returned his hail Mary
interception ninety nine yards for a touchdown. So now TCL
is indeed going to be giving away eighty four of
the approximately twelve thousand dollars worth TVs to winners randomly
chosen from people who signed up for the promotion.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Before the game.

Speaker 9 (26:23):
Does one more footnote from that wacky hail Mary pick
six back to you?

Speaker 2 (26:28):
Can you imagine the reaction to that executive? Yes, watch
lifetime time fix it off at the one he's just
weaving through through traffic.

Speaker 5 (26:42):
How about we met the under like me? Oh that
was the first half under and if you were on
the Jets first half lost on that.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
Yeah, that oh gosh, that's I know.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
That was really that's up. That is really unnecessary, worse.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
Than the TCL.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
People cares about it, but the t Yeah, they're like,
was he at the two? He was at the two
and it's ninety eight yards. Please. We're brought to you
by Progressive Insurance. Progressive makes bundling easy and affordable. Get
a multi policy discount by combining your motorcycle, RV, boat,
ATV and more all your protection in one place. Bundle
and save at Progressive dot com. How about LSU eight

(27:19):
and three. They're hosting Texas A and M today. It
starts at noon Eastern time. And Jaden Daniels, he's been
sensational this season, the LSU quarterback. Can he keep it going?
Can he have one more impressive Heisman worthy performance? He's
certainly in the conversation, will be there in New York City,

(27:39):
But does he have enough to win it when he's
not gonna be playing next week and you've got bo
Nix and Michael Pennix Junior on the same field. This
Texas A and M defense has quietly been pretty good.
You only give up nineteen point five points per game.
They've been a decent unit throughout the season. So I
want to see if Jaden Daniels can carve him up
like carved up almost everybody else this season.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
Look, I mean, good defense can be had, and Jaden
Daniels is definitely one of those quarterbacks who could get
after even the most talented of defenses in college football.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
He's a special talent.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
However, I don't know about you, guys, but I don't
feel good about giving him much of a chance to
win the Heisman if his team isn't going to amount
to very much in the postseason of college football. It's
a very narrative driven award. We're just talking about Jordan Travis,
and I don't know if you can really convince enough

(28:36):
voters that a team that has three losses to their
name can have a quarterback that qualifies really for this award.
That's just the way it is. You know, Hall of
famers in all sports, whether we're talking football or hockey
or basketball, they're filled with winners. You know, Heisman's they're

(28:57):
all winners. Like that is one commonality that all voters
in all of these different you know, greatness criterias agree
on you have to be a winner to be up
for this award, and I don't think three losses I really.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
Allows you to qualify. Whether that's fair or not, that's
the way it's been.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
I agree. I think it's almost like McCarthy's gonna be
the finalist and there's nothing like there. The glass ceiling
is squarely in place, like he is just going to
New York and it's gonna be a fun trip and
he's gonna get a ton of attention and people are
gonna talk about the draft and the NFL and and
and all that stuff. I'm sure in the next step.
I don't Actually I don't know if he's he's eligible

(29:38):
to this third year, right. I think he is eligible
to leave. So my guesses will go to the NFL
next year and that'll be his experience. Because the winner
of the PAC twelve championship game deserves I have made
that case. I did a video for the MGM. I
do the videos every week.

Speaker 3 (29:55):
I did it.

Speaker 5 (29:55):
It was like back in October. It was the week
after Oregon loss to Washington, and I said, the winner
of the PAC twelve title deserves to be the Heisman
Trophy winner this year because it's the conference with the
best quarterbacks, and one of those teams I hope will
do enough to make it to the Collegeable Playoff and
that quarterback deserves to be the Heisman because it's difficult
to navigate through what I think has been a gault.

(30:17):
I mean, I know the Pac twelve has historically not
been this way but over the last decade or so.
But this year, I mean, they had really, until about
a month ago, three teams that were going for the
Collegeable Playoff USC Oregon, Washington, and even Oregon stayed at
an outside shot until they kind of tripped up. So
that Pac twelve is a gauntlet this year of quarterbacks,

(30:38):
and it's a quarterback award. So unless we got just
something absurd from a Marvin Harrison or a Blake Koram,
and we didn't, I know, Marvin had a great year,
but he had three catches for thirty yards last week,
and in his biggest games of the year for Ohio State,
he has not played exceptionally well. So I just don't
understand that you can give it to him. And the
Michigan running backs have have had, you know, bad injuries,

(30:58):
and not great seasons. So yeah, this is this is
a PAC twelve award and Daniels is kind of the
side show that you know comes for the stats, but
I think the winning of Oregon or Washington deserve it. Well.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
It's one of these deals where the comparison has been
drawn to Lamar Jackson when he won the Heisman, Louisville
lost three games, and so that's the common tie in
with Jadon Daniels in LSU. And you go back to
that year in twenty sixteen and it's obscene, it's absurd
what Lamar was able to do. He threw for what,

(31:33):
let's see, thirty touchdowns and nine interceptions, but running the ball,
he rushed for over fifteen hundred yards and twenty one touchdown.

Speaker 5 (31:40):
See, Daniels isn't even close to those numbers. He's at
ONY ten. So that's why you know, like it hasn't
been that crazy for him.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
Yeah, I remember that year, reviewing and going back in
my mind, like I didn't know the stats, but I
remember the feeling when you turn on a Louisville game,
you were expecting to see something you've.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
Never seen before.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
It was it was like watching somebody play different sports
than the rest people on the field, and the officials
were kind of tasked with it, like.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
Do we blow the whistle? Is it illegal what he's
doing here?

Speaker 4 (32:11):
Like it felt like somebody put on god mode for
their quarterback and the rest, you know, the rest of
the kids out.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
There didn't get the contra cheat code and we're going
way back. That's a deep cut.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
I love it, but that's that's what it felt like.
And Jayden I love him. I think LSU has a
special talent at quarterback. But yeah, I just it's not
It's not gonna be that year where we say, wow,
narrative be damned. This guy's just so supernatural. We have
to make a change here because Lamar's the exception that

(32:43):
proves the rule. I think the rule wins on this one.

Speaker 3 (32:45):
This year.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
Well, I think this is there are a couple of
scenarios where Jaden Daniels could come out with the Heisman.
One he's got to go crazy today, and you think
about that Lamar Jackson season, he accounted for fifty one touchdowns,
so Jade and Daniels right now he's accounted for forty six.
Now I want to be shocked if he accounts for

(33:06):
four or five more and you're right there at the
fifty threshold. And then think about next week. You just
saw Oregon's defense play great yesterday. Let's say somehow someway
Washington wins again. Michael Penix Junior hasn't had that much
Heisman buzz as of late. It hasn't been a great
second half of the season for him individually. When we're

(33:27):
talking about the Heisman standards. Imagine if Washington wins again
and Pennix Junior is good but not electric, right.

Speaker 5 (33:36):
Yeah, make the defensive score something fookie happens that it's
a low scoring game and they win.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (33:41):
I was trying to think of a scenario that could
happen where he is the guy that's the only one
I think, like, it has to be like a really
ugly game.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
Yeah, right, and it's hard to foresee that happening. I know,
Oregon's defense is good.

Speaker 5 (33:54):
You got Penix with two wins over Oregon undefeated, Like,
how do you not give it to him?

Speaker 6 (33:59):
Right?

Speaker 5 (34:00):
I know, Like, how do you not give the award
to a guy that's probably gonna throw for what four
thousand plus yards and an undefeated season? They beat Orgon
twice in the PAC twelve they go on the road
to beat Oregon State, Like, that's tough. That would be
tough for Pennis. That'd be a tough beat. Almost as
tough as the TCL thing.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
It was as tough as a Javan Holland just the
end zone before a halftime in the Dolphins Jets game.
I apologize on the behalf of sambling in general to you, Jared,
that is it was a rough one.

Speaker 5 (34:32):
The good news is I at least had hope because
it was the full game under but I knew I
was it was Graham after that play, and then of
course the last touchdown for Miami's what put it over
the meaningless one where I forget who it was.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
He most are a little thirty four yard or to
the end zone, right, if.

Speaker 5 (34:49):
Someone want a two touchdown, bet on him. I saw
in my timeline and I was.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Like, ah, and he was running on the one yard
line for a little while. I'm sure that better was
like just get in a storm byke.

Speaker 5 (35:01):
Wow, Michael's great. He was like, go in you tell
Al was on the over too. Probably yesterday.

Speaker 2 (35:06):

(35:29):

Jared has been in the lab. There is smoke billowing out.
He's been researching all kinds of stuff to put together
the perfect parlay. We'll see what he unveils. Right around
the corner. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff

Bet MGM, the King of sports books, the King of Barlays.

(36:12):
All right, let's do this.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
Check this out with Barlay letter.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
Yes, the parlay platter and I have gotten word there
is a rumor that Jared Smith might be returning to
his old waves. We're to have a big payout over
here longer odds. What do you have cooking up here
this week, Jared?

Speaker 5 (36:32):
Yeah, it's the last week of the regular season. This
is our last chance to splash, last chance to dance
with a big card where we could have some underdog upsets.
I think the later we go, the hard art is
to find them. So we'll do one last trip around
the sun here and give you a big winner, big
payout on this money line underdog parlay. We'll start with
ball State at home today against Miami Ohio. Ball State's

(36:53):
an underdog in this game by about four four and
a half points. They've covered five in a row and
they have two outright wins as a dog, and that's
they are trending in a positive direction despite having a
really rough season. Miami Ohio has a whole lot of
nothing to play for either. There will be in the
MAC Championship game next week against Toledo. We saw Toledo
yesterday play their starters till very late in the game.

(37:14):
They covered in their matchup against Central Michigan. I don't
know if Mima Ohio is going to take that same approach.
I think conserving your energy for next week is probably
the prudent approach it. We'll take fall stake to keep
it rolling. Their defense has been fantastic, number one of
the nation over the last six weeks. Two hundred and
thirty five yards allowed per game. Impressive stuff. Cal on
the money line against UCLA. Guys, this is the last
Pac twelve game at the Rose Bowl. I mean, this

(37:36):
is exciting stuff. The Swan song, last pack Pack twelve
game after dark letdown spot for the Bruins too. They
beat USC last week. We'll see how they handled that.
Thanksgiving week. Col's coming in. They're trying to get their
six win, trying to get Bowl eligible. Strength on strength
defense for UCLA against that really good running game Jade,
not for Cal and finally San Diego State. They throwing
the fighting. Rich Hornberger's in here this week. Bye bye

(37:58):
to Brady Hope right. I'm sure Rich has heard a
lot about this. This week the last game for Brady
Hook until he rides off into the sunset retires at
San Diego State, and it's really more of a fate
of Fresno here, who has just looked awful in the
last two weeks. They got walloped by San Jose State
and then they lost at home to New Mexico as
a twenty two point favorite. What is going on with

(38:21):
Fresno State? But the Aztecs haven't looked great either. They've
lost four straight, but I think they've at least competed
over the last couple weeks.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
Rich can attest.

Speaker 5 (38:29):
So San Diego State, Cal Ball State all underdogs on
the money line twenty six to one. You can bet
that right now over at bet MGM.

Speaker 4 (38:41):
Cal takes every other week off offensively forty point scored
in a loss against Oregon State, fouled by a fourteen
point game against UTA, followed by a forty nine point
loss against USC filed by a nineteen point game against
Oregon filed by a thirty nine point game, or excuse me,
forty two point game a win against Washington State followed

(39:01):
by a twenty seven point game against Stanford. So they're
due to have another forty burger I hope so. And
then in terms of San Diego State win or lose.
All these games are close. They come down to a
possession or two. So I like that bet as well.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Twenty six to one. You you are back in a
big way.

Speaker 5 (39:18):
Let's go we're hit today.

Speaker 3 (39:22):
Let's go our back.

Speaker 2 (39:24):
What was it last week? About five to one?

Speaker 5 (39:29):
Yeah, I mean that's not bad either, but right I
prefer twenty six. We'll be back to probably five like next.
Let the conference championship game last year is when we
hit one, it's.

Speaker 2 (39:39):
Like an NBA player, like the warm up jersey. You
just just rip it off your back, cob it up.
It's an argument that really isn't believable. Oh what's going on? Everybody?
Welcome in here on a Thanksgiving weekend ball of plenty.
As I say, the ball buffet is in full four.

(40:00):
So we were brought to you by Progressive Insurance. Progressive makes

so we got a couple of matchups here, guys. Rivalries
for sure got the Apple Cup Washington State at number

(40:20):
four Washington that's at four pm Eastern time on Big Fox.
And also number five Florida State against Florida that's at
seven pm Eastern time. And both those teams, Washington and
Florida State flip flopped in the rankings. You had Washington
leapfrog Florida State, and the committee came out and said,

(40:43):
oh no, the Jordan Travis injury that didn't impact Washington
leapfrogging Florida State. It's just an unbelievable stance. It's just
not a believable stance right where I think they would
have been better off saying, hey, that was certainly considered,
but may Washington beating Oregon State on the road that
carried a lot a weight make that the focus. Just

(41:06):
don't lie to us and say, oh, that didn't carry
any weight. Really, so if Jordan Travis was completely healthy,
that would have no bearing on who leapfrogs who. I
just don't buy that at all.

Speaker 4 (41:18):
Yeah, the chair of the College Football Playoff Committee stating
that Washington's past six quarters of defense is what really
did it is what really tipped the scale in the
favor of the undefeated Huskies. Really, that's all that mattered
you know what. Yeah, like you said, Brian, I think
everybody understands what this is. This isn't a meritocracy. It's

(41:43):
just the closest thing they can approximate to a meritocracy
while making very human decisions. If he came out honestly,
if the chair of the CFP came out and said, look,
Washington's gonna be in our top four because they have
their starting quarter. If he was that blunt and that honest,
I think there would have been outrage for like from

(42:06):
from a select group of people, seminoles, fans, and then
everybody would go collectively, but yeah, we get it because
that's gonna be the better matchup, and everybody gets it.
It's we're all adults here and we know why you're
doing it, So why lie to us?

Speaker 5 (42:22):
Yeah, I think it's fair to downgrade them. You don't
need to make it like front and center like you
just just to do the rankings. And I'll be honest,
I think Florida State even with Rodenmaker. I mean, and
we'll get to the Flora State Florida game a little
bit later, but I still think he's good enough to
get them to the playoff. Now they're going to be

(42:43):
the sacrificial land. If they get in, they'll be the
four seed. They'll likely play Georgia and they'll be a
fifth you know, two touchdown, three touchdown underdog. It'll be
a very similar Georgia versus the you know, the underling
in that semi final and and you know the real
game will be the two three. But I still think
Florida State has a lot to be proud of, like

(43:04):
if they get themselves, and from everything I've heard this week,
they have been really intense there, Like Mike Norvella's run
a really tight ship this week and the players are
really rallying around Rodenmaker. So I think you're gonna see
an inspired effort from Florida today. Again, we'll get to
that game of Florida State. We'll get to that game
when we talked the rivalry game a little later in
the show. But in terms of the playoff, I've been

(43:27):
doing this all year long, like I've been my own
committee all year long, and I'm proud to say that
I've had Georgia. I had Georgia one before the rest
of the committee did. And I think you look at
what the Washington Oregon situation is playing out to be.
It's obvious to me that the Washington Oregon winner deserves
to jump Florida State. Like to me, that doesn't and

(43:48):
Washington already has. But if they win, they'll they'll stay
there and Oregon will jump Florida State.

Speaker 2 (43:53):
If they win.

Speaker 5 (43:54):
To me, that's obvious. Like the PAC twelve has been
better than the ACC all year, it shouldn't be a
surprise that the team that emerges from that path deserves
to jump Florida State. So I think that's the only
way to really rank them at this point is Florida
State is there because of their past, but their future

(44:14):
is a little bit clouded because of the situation.

Speaker 2 (44:18):
Well, I think I can understand the committee doesn't want
to say the quiet part out loud. Yeah, I understand why.
I don't want to grab a megaphone and say it's
because Jordan Travis is injured. That's why Washington is number
four in Florida State's number five. I get they don't
want to say that, but it's like, just don't lie
through your teeth and say that had no bearing on
the rankings whatsoever. I just think you gotta be sly

(44:40):
about it. You gotta be Derek Jeter. If you're asked
a direct question, did you put Washington ahead because Jordan
Travis was injured, you just say, hey, we took that
into account. But man, look at that road win against
Oregon State, gritty YadA YadA, YadA YadA, where you're acknowledging it,
but you're not harping on it. But to say that

(45:01):
has no bearing is ridiculous. No one believes that at all.

Speaker 3 (45:05):
No now.

Speaker 4 (45:06):
And really, look, the worst thing about all this is
because it is such a farce because we do know
that it's made for TV, and there's been plenty of,
like really good debates over why a fifth team or
a sixth team was left on the side burner while
the top four got to play it out to see
who's the quote unquote national champion.

Speaker 3 (45:28):
Like that's the reality of this situation is.

Speaker 4 (45:31):
When we went from the BCS to this new format,
that we still don't have a real national champion. In
my opinion, none of these teams since this new format
has been adopted, and by the way, expanding it to
six changes nothing. In my view, there's no such thing
as a national champion in college football. You can't whittle

(45:52):
the field to four have three games to side a
national title. That's not a national champion.

Speaker 3 (45:59):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (46:00):
I mean, if you want to make this believable, if
you want to have a format, you at least need
to invite sixteen teams at least I mean expand that
even I'm fine with it, because like the regular season
has too much filler anyways, with you know, teams playing
against New Mexico State who have no business putting them
on their schedule.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
It just you could get rid of some of that.

Speaker 4 (46:24):
You can have more consequential games earlier in the football
season or later, depending on where those games are scheduled.
And let's go, let's have an actual real conversation about
who should be in when we're arguing over the sixteen
seed or dare I say the thirty two seed if
you want to expand the bracket that far. Because in
college basketball, there is a real national title. In college football,

(46:46):
we still have yet to have a real national champion.

Speaker 5 (46:49):
Just wait for next year. Twelve teams, I mean, and
that's going to be a fun one. Because I'm looking
at I'm actually I was going on the CFP site
when this segment started. There actually is a clause on
the CFP committee bylaws for Army Navy, you know, just
in case that game matters in the College Troble play
of rankings. So they've really thought of everything, right, But
the twelve team field is I think I think the

(47:13):
twelve team field like it in my mind. I'm gonna
I'm gonna rank them this year and I'm gonna see
what my twelve team field would look like. But it's
gonna be a different animal next year. And I agree
with you, Richie, it still feels very tight, like it's
just there's not a lot of wiggle room. And I
think the regular season means so much that after you've

(47:35):
lost one, sometimes two games for most part, but sometimes
one game. Yeah, a lot of those games after that
do feel a little bit hollow, especially for the you know,
the mid major teams that are trying to get to
the new year six. But I still think we have
a system in place that at least gives us the
best team in the country at the end of the year.
I feel more confident about that than I did the BCS,

(47:57):
where you could literally have for example, this is a
perfect example of it this year with Oregon and Washington, right,
we think Oregon is the second best team in the country.
A lot of people do. But in the BCS format
from ten years ago, they would have probably been the
odd man out. They would have been the three. It
would have been the Big ten winner and probably the
SEC winner. So I do think we have at least

(48:18):
a better version of it now. But I'm excited for
twelve teams next year.

Speaker 2 (48:22):
Well hey, if you dive into both of these matchups
real fast. I love with Michael PENNOCKX Junior, the Washington quarterback.
It's amazing how the complexion of a season changes from
the beginning to the middle part. Now the end of
the regular season, where think about the beginning where Pennick
Junior is going ballistic. He threw for over four hundred

(48:42):
yards in each of the first three games, he had
twelve touchdowns in one interception. And then last week against
Oregon State, he did enough. He did enough, like completion
percentage is at forty six, right, like one hundred and
sixty two yards but two touchdowns. Hooked up with Rome
a day enough in that game and got it done.

(49:03):
But it's just it's gone from prolific to let's just
get this done with some duct tape and we got
some pliers over here and a clothes pin and just
make it happen, man. And they're still undefeated as they
head into the Apple Cup, big favorites, favored by fifteen
and a half and much different in the Florida State

(49:24):
Florida game, a back a battle of the backup quarterbacks,
where like you said, Jared Tate Rodimaker, he takes over
for Jordan Travis, came on the road in the swamp,
you know, rivalry game. It's a tough spot. And then
Max Brown he takes over at Florida because of the injuries.
It's Graham Mertz went down for Florida as well, So

(49:46):
that matchup is really intriguing tonight between FSU and Florida.

Speaker 4 (49:51):
I wish there, you know, and you wish this for
any team that loses their quarterback, especially exciting quarterbacks like
both of these programs have, especially for Florida State. Considering
how consequential for Jordan Travis individually outside of just the
program and Heisman odds and all those things like how
will he'll be on the other side of this injury?

(50:13):
Hopefully very good and hopefully the recovery is great, but
you never know with injuries, so there's a lot of
you know, entanglements there with that side of the storyline.
But yeah, I wish, And again you can make all
the wishes you want.

Speaker 3 (50:27):
It's football.

Speaker 4 (50:27):
There's not a ton of happy endings in football. It's
just kind of the way the sport goes. It's a
war of attrition. But yeah, I wish that that matchup
had two healthy quarterbacks because it's exciting.

Speaker 3 (50:40):
That's the reason why the Apple Cup is so exciting
this year.

Speaker 4 (50:43):
Pennix Junior, the way Christian Ward's been playing like this
is what football is and has been.

Speaker 3 (50:48):
For our entire lifetimes.

Speaker 4 (50:51):
It's about the quarterback in football, and at least for
the Apple Cup, we've got a great matchup there.

Speaker 3 (50:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (50:58):
Radamaker, I mean, he's got a buzz to him, right.
He was the first recruit Mike Norvel brought to Florida State.
He's the son of a coach, and I think he's
got some athleticism too. He's arguably the fastest of the
quarterbacks that they have. I know that there's like some
argument about like the straight line speed versus the lateral quickness,
but straight line speed, from what I've read, Rodamaker's faster

(51:20):
than Jordan Travis, but he's got this weird, clunky release
and when he first came on campus from what we
heard again, he's been in the program for a while now,
Norbelle's first recruit, but when he first came to campus,
he really had a rough first year, and they the
defense gave him the nickname pick six. Tate is not

(51:42):
that's not not the right nickname you want to have
if you're a quarterback playing for Florida State. But I
think Florida's defense is not going to provide a whole
lot of resistance here. But as you alluded to Brian
Swamp at night rivalry game, a lot of weird things
can happen. And even last week against North Alabama, he

(52:02):
turned the wrong way twice when trying to hand it off,
like just a couple of you know, just blooper type plays.
So those types of things happen when the crowds are
screaming and and you're you know, you're in the moment.
So we'll see how he handles this moment tonight.

Speaker 2 (52:16):
Man, they're hoping for a new nickname of tea. You know,
TD Tate sounds a lot better than Tick six Tate. Right, Wow, good.

Speaker 5 (52:24):
First year on campus of Florida State. Imagine you get
that nickname your your confidence level is probably not booming
after that.

Speaker 2 (52:31):
No, No, that's not the most flattering nickname right there.
But hey, some of us started at the bottom. You know,
hopefully he's a couple long way at least Florida State
fans are hoping so hey. From live betting to player props,

we've got rich Ornberger sterling admission at the beginning of
the show. He said he held on every play.

Speaker 4 (53:14):
I appreciate that on every single play college, en pro,
in high school, high school.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
Yeah, yeah, as an offensive lineman.

Speaker 4 (53:23):
If you've played the positions, you know that this isn't
all that great of an admission because every single offensive
lineman holds on every single line.

Speaker 5 (53:30):
If you have rich I thought he was this sterling
star student.

Speaker 3 (53:35):
Oh he's just one of the Sorry, just a criminal.
Here's just a lowly criminal.

Speaker 2 (53:40):
He's an honest criminal, that's true. Honest. We've got Jared
Smith FSR betting analyst. I'm Brian no coming up next,
Seamus McGee. Will you have some crazy trend this week
that you can take advantage of in the betting market.
He had one last week week right on the money
with what was it.

Speaker 5 (53:59):
Over and now Obama game because it was it was
ten points off the spread.

Speaker 2 (54:03):
That's right, the total was ten points off the spread,
and so he said take the over Sama hosting Chattanooga
and it was an easy cash. So we'll see if
he has anything for us this week. My guess is
he does.

Speaker 5 (54:15):
Yeah, I would agree with that.

Speaker 3 (54:17):
Yeah, good beat out.

Speaker 2 (54:18):

(55:00):
let's do this.

Speaker 1 (55:02):
Follow the money, real good money.

Speaker 2 (55:04):
We are following the money with our main man, Seamus McGee,
team lead of sports Trading at BEDMGM. Good morning to
your Seamus. You know I'm gonna cut right to the chase.
You had a tremendous trend last week on the Alabama game.
You took the over. Do you have anything for us
today where we can get rich and line our pockets.

Speaker 10 (55:26):
I'd be were missed if I went an entire season
without picking the Virginia Cavaliers. Yeah, today is the day
I hate Virginia Tech. Without every fiber of my bands
and Virginia's played better football than their record of pears
and coming back home, it's gonna be an emotional day.

(55:47):
I think Virginia wins that.

Speaker 5 (55:48):
Right, Nothing says Seamus special Lake right at in a
gate Virginia Virginia Tech. I mean that is that is
elite stuff, Seamous the bigger game today. Let's start with
the game, right, because it's about our plus and I'm
looking already over the last thirty minutes, we've seen this

(56:09):
total drop, We've seen the spread. Now get onto the
key of three. So it looks like the early sentiment
this morning is Ohio State and under. Is that what
the rest of the week look like? And how's the
book looking for this Wolverine's Buckeyes game.

Speaker 10 (56:23):
Yeah, it's the Publican and Sharks have been on Ohio
State all week. I'm a little surprised. I thought we
were going to get a little more Michigan money. But
it's a lot of a high state action coming in,
so we definitely get to be a ring from Michigan.
And it's as I guess, two to one sided on
the total sharp plays definitely than the under. But I'm
going to saying we're sweating right now.

Speaker 3 (56:44):
Is Ohio State the most beat underdog of the day.

Speaker 10 (56:49):
I say so, I say, yeah, yeah, Hey.

Speaker 4 (56:53):
I had a quick question for you about handicapping these games.
It just occurred to me when I was watching Game
Day and you know, some of the ESPN coverage leading
up to JAMU taking on Appalachian State, do you guys
get a huge or a significant bump in picks on
teams that are featured with that coverage, Like, you know,

(57:15):
depending on where the game day crew ends up, do
you see like a noticeable trend in terms of, you know,
the team they show up at. Because I found myself
even falling into this trap where I'm like, hey, you
know I haven't taken a close enough look at the Dukes.

Speaker 10 (57:31):
Yeah, it's uh, I think you got to pick their spot.
I think when they go to place like JMU, you
know ESPN's going there, they're really drumming up the story
of jam You so that's a week we're going to
see it once. But like you know, it's different when
they're gonna Ohio State Michigan. But I'd even say when
when they were in Colorado for the Nebravs game earlier,
even though it was like coach Prime. I mean that

(57:52):
was like a super Bowl of college football. It was
you could stop me from that in Colorado that day.
So I think it depends on the week and where
they go.

Speaker 2 (58:00):
Really, you know, I like when you go contrarian shamous
on us from time to time here, meaning is there
a team that's heavily bet on this week where you say, yeah,
really you're going with that squad?

Speaker 11 (58:18):
I mean, I gave you up.

Speaker 10 (58:20):
I think Virginia is pretty contrarian, to be honest, it is,
But I would say I that Olivern Alabama game. I
keep like looking at Auburn and I think I know
they're coming off a lost to New Mexico State, but
I think that was interesting, a ginormous look ahead spot
for them coming into this one. I think it's a

(58:42):
lot of points to be laying. We took a big
ben on Alabama earlier in the week, so we're definitely
gonna be rooting for albert.

Speaker 5 (58:49):
I know that Heisman race last night. You know, one big,
one big notch in the belt of Bonnicks. He's got
one more. Do you see a scenario did we talk
about this earlier in the show. If Nicks or Pennix
play well next week. Is there anything in your eyes
that Jayden Daniels can do to steal the award from

(59:10):
one of those two Pac twelve quarterbacks or is this
kind of he's the number two guy and he just
needs both of those guys to play really bad next week.

Speaker 10 (59:19):
He's I mean, he's obviously gonna light it up this week.

Speaker 2 (59:21):
Yeah, I think A and M.

Speaker 11 (59:24):
But I honestly, I.

Speaker 10 (59:26):
Think Pennicks have to do something really special next week
to pass Daniels to Dale's numbers. I think you burrow
at the idea he won the island.

Speaker 1 (59:35):
But if Knicks has.

Speaker 10 (59:36):
Like a huge game, I could really see a lot
of people going starting to head towards Knicks, especially like
coming out in prime time championship game and all that.

Speaker 4 (59:48):
When I looked at the college football futures, I didn't
look at him prior to the to the seminals, losing
Jordan Travis. But now for them to get into the
College football Playoffs or to win the championship. Rather, they're
at like plus twenty eight hundred. When when you realize
that the playoff committee is in charge of selecting which

(01:00:10):
four teams.

Speaker 3 (01:00:11):
Make it in, I don't know, man, Look anybody.

Speaker 4 (01:00:15):
Can spend their money anyway they want, But it's it's
a weird thing to try to bet on championship odds because.

Speaker 3 (01:00:22):
A team like Florida State, what would they have to do.

Speaker 4 (01:00:24):
At this point to even get an opportunity to play
for the championship game? Or or do you think it's
kind of already decided without that quarterback, even if they win,
they're gonna be left out in the cold.

Speaker 11 (01:00:37):
I think if they blowout Florida and Louisville and there's
a chance they get in, I mean, they just have
to look as good as they have with the Travis hobviously.
So at the end of the day, if they blow
out Florida and Louisville, they're gonna be a thirteen to
zero team, undefeated Power Conference champions. So I mean they
got to leave no doubt.

Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
Well, hey, Seamus, always good to catch up with you, man,
and uh, we'll see if Virginia can bring it on
home for.

Speaker 1 (01:01:07):
You when they bring it home.

Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
When I like that confidence, swagger, swagger seamous today, I
love that. Well, hey, Seamus, enjoy the games. We'll catch
up with you soon, Bud, Thank guys, good stuff. Bo
there he is Seamus McGee, team lead of sports Trading
at bet MGM. All right, we go from power hitter
to power hitter. Yeah, it is murderer's row here on

(01:01:33):
the show. That's right, from Seamus McGee to Isaac loew
and Kron, which is just it's a double dose whatever
you got down with Thanksgiving wise, you know, whatever your
one two combo is, Turkey mashed potatoes or whatever it is.
That's Seamus making way for Isaac Lowan Kron. I love

(01:01:53):
what's going on by.

Speaker 9 (01:01:54):
Turkey mashed potatoes and here comes the pumpkin pie. And
actually for college football fans, because we are now one
hour and forty three minutes away from kickoff in ann Arbor,
the one hundred and nineteenth meeting between Michigan and Ohio State.
Ohio State comes in rank number two at eleven to zero.

(01:02:18):
Michigan ranked third also at eleven and zero in both
teams eight and oh in the Big Ten Conference. While
on Friday night, six ranked Oregon advance the Pac twelve
championship game against the Washington Huskies by beating number sixteen
Oregon State thirty one to seven. Seventh ranked Texas over
Texas Tech fifty seven to seven, number eleven. Penn State

(01:02:38):
won at Michigan State forty two to nothing. While in
the NFL a short time ago. Today, New York Jets
head coach Robert Sala said the Tim Boyle once again
going to get the start at quarterback for the Jets
next week against the Atlanta Falcons.

Speaker 2 (01:02:51):
In the NBA.

Speaker 9 (01:02:52):
On Friday night, Steph Curry scored thirty five as his
Golden State Warriors defeated the San Antonio Spurs won eighteen
to one twelve. The Spurs now on an eleven game
losing streak. They are three and thirteen overall, but their
problems apparently do not end there. San Antonio rookie star
Victor weban Yama had to change his jersey during the game,

(01:03:17):
not because of a jersey tear. It didn't get blood
on it or anything. It's because his name on the
original jersey was spelled wrong. It was spelled weban Yana
instead of wemban Yama. They had to change it with
the correct spelling. So apparently the Spurs woes even extend

(01:03:39):
to jersey stitching and spelling.

Speaker 2 (01:03:42):
Back to you, good miss man, that's ye. Yeah, did
the good team screw that up? Who's the best teams.

Speaker 9 (01:03:49):
They never they never misspelled Ornberger during your career.

Speaker 5 (01:03:52):
Today, I have names on the back of our jerseys, No, Pence.

Speaker 4 (01:03:56):
I do have a high school All Star game MITSTL
jersey though, in the collection, and that is one that
I think they flipped around an e.

Speaker 3 (01:04:06):
I forget exactly how they did it, but it.

Speaker 2 (01:04:08):
Was not z in there somewhere silence, c were you
holding in that game?

Speaker 3 (01:04:13):
Rich?

Speaker 4 (01:04:13):
Every single game, Brian, every single game, every play.

Speaker 5 (01:04:18):
The next time he gives you a hug, he's just
gonna hold on.

Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
Yeah, that's right, Just get a handful of claw.

Speaker 3 (01:04:27):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
It's Fox Sports Radios Countdown to kick Off presented by
bet MGM. Bet MGM is now available under one wallet
and select states. For example, if you're in the DMV area,
no need to worry about making separate accounts for DC,
Maryland and Virginia when crossing state borders. Simply just log
into your existing account instead of creating a new one.
All right, let's dive into this. We've got number one

(01:04:48):
Georgia against Georgia Tech. Georgia a huge favorite right twenty
four in the hook in this, so uh they should
be able. You do whatever they won offensively, Carson Beck
should be able to sling it around. Georgia Tech's defense
is rough. Their run defense in particular is brutal. They
allow two hundred and twenty two yards on the ground

(01:05:12):
on average, and Georgia they can run the rock. So
the one to two combo really a balanced attack with
Carson Beck and the running backs that they have right there.
I love what their backup running back brings to the
table where he he's not very talked about very much, Milton.
He's a really good change of pace running back where

(01:05:35):
that's your your second guy. That is tough to deal with,
and Georgia Tech has shown no ability to slow down
the run. So watch out for Edwards and also Kendall
Milton doing some damage on the ground against g Tech tonight.

Speaker 4 (01:05:48):
Hey listen, I'm thinking for the Yellowjackets. They already played
their big emotional game last week with a win over
Syracuse that earns them Bawl eligibility. I mean, if they
even make this a competitive game, that's just icing on
the cake, which I don't forecast is gonna happen. Because

(01:06:08):
as much as the Bullsdogs defense gets a tremendous amount
of attention. The offense for Georgia is as good as
you'll find in the country. I mean, Carson Beck is
playing well as any quarterback in the country. Now, I
know the stats don't tell you that. I mean, they're
not as good as compared to a Daniels or maybe

(01:06:28):
even a bon Knicks, but he's a talented guy, and
this Georgia team is going to be looking to run
with a full head of steam into the college football
playoffs or into their SEC championship game. So I mean,
obviously it's the Bulldogs by a mile, but it's not
just because of how much more talent they have or
how big of a mismatch this is. It's really because

(01:06:51):
of the emotional letdown of a team that's already earned
their Bowl eligibility. So the best they can do is
hold on tight and not get hurt. Their postseason action
for the Yellow Jacks Jash.

Speaker 5 (01:07:02):
Yeah, I think handygaving his game is you know it's
gonna be one way traffic. I think the more interesting
part about this game is how it kind of fits
into the landscape of some of the other games that
we are going to see today, with teams that have
quote unquote nothing to play for and for the radio audience.
I am doing the air quotes now, hm, because for

(01:07:25):
someone to look you in the eyes. And I've heard
this with the Alabama Auburn game this week, and I'm
just like, what are you talking about? For someone to
look you in the eyes and say, Georgia has nothing
to play for, They're playing their most bitter rival. Like
I heard someone say this week, Well, Alabama doesn't have
anything to play for. They got the SEC Championship game
next week. It's the Iron Bawl. Yeah, I know they

(01:07:47):
needed to play for, like and I know Georgia Georgia.
Check's not the Iron Bowl. But my point being the
idea that Georgia is just gonna sleep walk through this game,
I'm not so sure that's the vibe. If I was Georgia,
I would want to be playing my best football this week.
Why because then you have something to carry over for
next week. You don't want to be playing your worst

(01:08:08):
football the week before the SEC Championship game. So I
think the notion with this game and others like it,
big spreads, but big rivalries, that the team with a
lot to play for next week and the weeks beyond
are gonna let their foot off the gas. No, this
is rivalry week. This is Georgia Georgia Tech, big rivalry.

(01:08:31):
I think Georgia will be up for it. Can they
win by margin? Suore? Do they want to win by margin?

Speaker 3 (01:08:35):
Eh?

Speaker 5 (01:08:36):
Maybe not. But I don't think they're just gonna punt
on the game quote unquote if they're really invested in
the rivalry, which this clearly is.

Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
Well, that's the thing to me is I don't understand
that Alabama point at all. As if SPAMA has zero losses,
you know, if they lose this game today against Auburn,
it doesn't matter. If they beat Georgia, they're not going
to the playoff. So true, I don't get that point
at all.

Speaker 5 (01:09:02):
But the Georgia Georgia Tech thing too. I mean, if
if Georgia loses to Georgia Tech and then then they
beat Bama next week, they're still in the playoff.

Speaker 6 (01:09:09):
You know.

Speaker 5 (01:09:09):
So it's it's a weird. It's a weird dynamic to
think that these college kids don't care. They care about everything,
especially these games.

Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
Yeah, well, they definitely care.

Speaker 4 (01:09:18):
I guess my point is Georgia is gonna be so
motivated that it's it's it's going to be a steamrolling
now Auburn Alabama. I give Auburn a puncher's chance, Like
if you want to talk about like a big underdog
with a big chance to play runer, that feels like
more of a spot than Georgia Tech.

Speaker 3 (01:09:40):
I'm not saying I feel sorry.

Speaker 4 (01:09:42):
For Georgia Tech either, because what an accomplishment being ball eligible.
I mean, there's a lot of teams around this country
who wish to go to a postseason bowl game and
they won't because they had less than satisfactory seasons.

Speaker 3 (01:09:56):
I mean, let's face it, the bar is set really low.

Speaker 4 (01:09:58):
You gotta win half your game, and if you can't
muster that, that is an extremely disappointing season. And so
there's a lot of disappointed teams out there in the country.
So bravo to the Yellow Jackets. But I look at
Georgia as almost machine like in their dominance of college
football over the past three seasons. Now, because we're almost there,

(01:10:18):
this is almost another full regular season in the books,
and Kirby Smart's got that program, hummin'. He's got that
program operating, operating the same way we used to view
Alabama and Nick Saban, like you remember that, Like we
almost got so used to Alabama's dominance that we just
forgot how good they were. That's what it kind of

(01:10:41):
feels like with Georgia. They've almost they've almost grabbed zero high.
Headlines have been dominated by the Harrba stuff and obviously Michigan.

Speaker 3 (01:10:51):
Football blah blah blah.

Speaker 4 (01:10:52):
But holy smokes, like Georgia is a really good team
and they're contending for their third straight national championship this year.

Speaker 5 (01:10:59):
They're the best team in country, being the best team
all year, we hadn't seen We didn't see it because
they didn't show it to us because they didn't need
to in week one and two and three and four.
I forget which week was their first like explosive game.
Let's look here, Oh it was the Kentucky game. Yeah,
when when Kentucky came in undefeated and everyone thought they

(01:11:20):
were hot to trot and and Georgia dropped the fifty
burger on him like it was nothing. Same thing in
the in the Florida game, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:11:26):
Oh Florida.

Speaker 5 (01:11:27):
Oh h yeah, yeah, forty three twenty like it was.
It wasn't even close. Georgia has the ability to flip
a switch like any other team that I've ever seen,
and Carson Beck, I think he is just as good
as any of these other guys. Maybe not on the
same level as Daniels, but I would say Nicks Pennix. Yeah,

(01:11:49):
Carson Beck has the ability to be that good. He
has an NFL arm and NFL physical size, and he's
got a heck of a team around him, that's for sure.
I mean that receiving group and the tight end Bowers,
I mean the running backs Edwards.

Speaker 2 (01:12:01):
I mean they have dudes.

Speaker 5 (01:12:03):
So I think George's best team in the country, and
I think they can cruise easily. They can set their
number today they want to cover today, they will, It's
just a matter of how much they want to.

Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
Yeah, listen, Carson Beck. His accuracy has really impressed me.
It's every single week he'll make a couple of throws
where I'm like, man, that is that's high level, just
pinpoint accuracy. And so I want to see how he
performs when we get to the SEC Championship game, assuming
they're in the playoff, when he gets on the playoff stage.

(01:12:31):
But he's been really, really solid thus far, and he
seems cool, right, That's the other thing he doesn't seem
like he's been in some close games like the Missouri
game was closer and Georgia. Man, they call plays with swagger,
they're not scared, and he's unflappable to your point, Yeah, yeah, yeah,

(01:12:53):
whatever the situation is, it's like, oh man, this is
third and seven is a big play, or hey, we're
deep in our own territory. If we turn it over
and we give them some live they just don't operate
like that. They're like, execute the play, we trust you,
and Carson Beck has responded thus far, it's been impressive,
all right. Coming up next, we get to the props.

(01:13:14):
Huh prop Betskalore with Rich Orenberger, Penn State All American
Got Jared Smith FSR, betting analyst. I'm Brian know there
are so many prop bet options.

Speaker 3 (01:13:24):
How do we.

Speaker 2 (01:13:25):

Speaker 5 (01:14:29):
Well, I'll give you a fun one. And I was
doing my research this week and I was listening to
Justin Wilcox, the Cale head coach's press conference, and he
said something that caught my ear. So last week against Stanford,
it was second and nine from the Stanford twenty four
Cole's up two scores, Jade not gets the ball on
a carry, runs, gets a first down and he's wide

(01:14:49):
open like the end zone there. Stanford's letting him score,
but instead of scoring, he takes a knee, so cal
can and the game smartly, right Justin Wilcox was asked
about that this week during his press conference. Then he said,
great play, Jade not smart football player. We're gonna get
him back in the end zone this week. He actually
said that in the press conference. And Jade Not has

(01:15:09):
scored a nine or ten out of eleven games this year.
He did score last week against Stanford as well. It's
not like he didn't score against the Cardinal. But you're
getting a little bit of value on his number this
week because UCLA has the number one rush defense in
the country. But how motivated is UCLA off in a
letdown game after their big win over USC and they've
got their bowl game coming up, you know, in a
few weeks. So I think Jade Not to score a

(01:15:32):
touchdown today at minus one sixty, it's juicy, But the
coach told you they're going to get him into the
end zone. So who am I to argue with that?

Speaker 4 (01:15:39):
All Right, I'm taking a look at this Ohio State,
Michigan game, and I'm thinking the same defensive strategy is
going to be employed by both of these teams, which
is shut down the run and force these quarterbacks to
win the football game.

Speaker 3 (01:15:52):
This is gonna be all about.

Speaker 4 (01:15:53):
McCarthy and McCord. Who is going to outduel who. So
I'm taking the under on bol Trayvion Hens.

Speaker 3 (01:16:00):
And Blake Koram's stats.

Speaker 4 (01:16:02):
I got Traveon Henderson at under eighty five and a
half rushing yards Blake Koram under eighty nine and a
half rushing yards because that's what I would do.

Speaker 3 (01:16:12):
I would just give the run games zero daylight.

Speaker 4 (01:16:15):
These are two top three defenses facing each other great
against the run, and so I'm taking the under on that.
If you like a defense, better choose choose the opposite back, you.

Speaker 3 (01:16:26):
Know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (01:16:27):
And then looking at this LSU game, this little bit
of a companion pick, I think they're going to try
to increase Jayden Daniels Heisman odds and they're gonna go
after it. So I have over thirty one and a
half pass attempts and Malik Neighbors, who's been piling up
receiving yard after receiving yard I'm taking the over one
one hundred twenty two and a half receiving yards.

Speaker 2 (01:16:50):
Okay, I'm gonna look at that same game. I'm gonna
get a little daring on you over here. I'm looking
at Jayden Daniels his rushing prop that is at eighty
one and a half. To take the under eighty one
and a half. Wow, I know he's hit the over
in five of the last six games. But if you
look at Texas A and M, their rush defense quietly

(01:17:10):
is very good. They're one of the top rush defenses
in the nation. There have only been let's see four, six, eight, ten,
about twelve defenses that give up less than one hundred
yards on the ground per game. Texas A and M
is just outside of that. They give up one oh
two each game on the ground. And I think this

(01:17:33):
game like, you can't let Jayden Daniels carve you up
with his legs. Also, and if you get a couple
of sacks on the guy that works against his rushing
yardage total, if he rushes for eighty and a couple
of touchdowns, that's a good day on the ground for
Jaden Daniels. I'll take the under eighty one and a half.
I just think the odds are better that he doesn't

(01:17:53):
get there. You're rooting for me, Jared.

Speaker 5 (01:17:56):
Here's their I don't agree with this. I agree with
the value because I agree with the value that it's
they've priced in this Heisman bump for Daniels and now
the value does say under.

Speaker 2 (01:18:08):
Yeah, we'll see if it works out. Sharp No over here, Darren, No,
maybe dumb No, I don't know. We'll find that the
game coming up. Oh, what's going on?

Speaker 3 (01:18:19):

Let's dive into this.

Speaker 1 (01:18:41):
Let's go ten matchup of the day.

Speaker 2 (01:18:45):
Okay, that would be the game of the day, arguably
the game of the year. That would be number two
Ohio State against number three Michigan. You know, I'll start
a little.

Speaker 3 (01:18:56):
Bit broad here.

Speaker 2 (01:18:57):
I don't want to be a downer, but when we
go to twelve teams next season, in the playoff, a
game like this isn't gonna have the same pizazz. You know,
Rivalry week isn't gonna have the same punch that it
does today, Because I contend, man, I don't see a
way realistically that the loser of Ohio State Michigan is

(01:19:20):
gonna get into the playoffs. That's as high as you
can get for the stakes here, where it's not gonna
be as great next season. If we're in a similar
spot where the loser of this game would be in
a twelve team playoff, so much higher stakes today, and
it's not all bad once we get to the twelve
team playoff, that's gonna be fantastic to see him duke

(01:19:41):
it out on the field. But a spot like this
to get into the playoff, it's not gonna have the
same punch in the regular season that it does right now,
I agree with you.

Speaker 4 (01:19:51):
But at the same time, I think I think as
long as scheduling wise, you keep these rivalries intact, you
could still it's you could still see a way where
it matters and it's meaningful, Like for example, in college basketball,
I mean, you have sixty four teams with a real

(01:20:12):
legitimate shot to win a championship and rivalries still matter
to fan bases.

Speaker 3 (01:20:18):
You know, Duke, you and c it doesn't matter.

Speaker 4 (01:20:21):
It doesn't matter if it's consequential in terms of tournament berth.
You want your team to win, you have the fan
bases are still invested. So it comes down to the
schedule makers. Like if you have a situation where teams
are leaving conferences, there's a reshuffling of the deck happening
in college football basically every year. You have to make
sure that you keep some of these these rivalries intact.

(01:20:43):
Otherwise it will become less meaningful because there'll be too
much distance from the last time these two teams match.

Speaker 5 (01:20:49):
Yeah, I think it'll be a it'll have a different
feel for some of the Pac twelve games today, I think,
especially the last game at the Rose Bowl in a
Pack twelve. Washington Washington Spit though, from what I read,
is going to continue their series.

Speaker 2 (01:21:03):
Yeah next right, Yeah, five years.

Speaker 5 (01:21:07):
They're playing one of the games at the Seahawks Stadium
in Seattle. I mean that'll be electric, and then they'll
go home and home for the other two years there
two in in Pullman and two in Washington's campus. So
I love that at least there's some talk. I don't
know about Oregon Oregon State last night. It might have
been the last game we played between those two teams.
We'll see. But for this Ohio State Michigan game, I

(01:21:30):
really like your your your prop angle rich because again,
the way that I think props are most effective is
when you game script and then you find the value
based off of the game script. And I agree that
the game script for both of these teams is going
to be take away the run and make the quarterbacks
beat them. And for Ohio State's defense, Jim Nole, I

(01:21:54):
mean this is Jim Knowles can win this game. Like Michigan,
it doesn't matter what Michigan does do. If Jim Knowles
has the right scheme, I think they have the personnel
to completely eliminate any explosive offense from Michigan. Roman Wilson's
playing in this game. He's banged up, he's nine hundred percent,
but he's playing for Michigan.

Speaker 3 (01:22:12):
He's their leading receiver.

Speaker 5 (01:22:14):
But JJ McCarty's explosive pass right and all of the
numbers have just fallen off of a cliff. And the
one thing that Ohio State has done better than anything
else like they are top ten defense in like every
Schedulejusted Metric, but their best is early downs and explosive plays. Yep,
that's what they control the best. So this game, to
me is a phone booth game. And I don't know

(01:22:35):
if Michigan's offensive line, which is outside the top thirty
in line yards created Blake Korn does not look good
post knee surgery, and Donovan Edwards, I don't know what's
going on there. This could be a really tough game
for Michigan's running attack and it's gonna kind of all
fall on McCarthy's shoulders, I.

Speaker 3 (01:22:47):
Think, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:22:48):
Well, and that's the other part of it, too, is
how well does Michigan slow down Ohio State's ground game
as well, because Trayvon Henderson has been really good the
last four games. He's got at four hundred and ninety
nine yards and five touchdowns, and so if they're able
to rely on him a bit more and you have

(01:23:08):
Kyle McCord throwing to those first round wide receivers as like, yeah,
maybe your number two option, that becomes really tough to stop.
So really really important obviously for Michigan's rush defense to
be on point today because if Ohio State is balanced offensively. Lookout,
it's gonna be a tough day for the Wolverines to

(01:23:31):
win a game like that when you're basically like, hey,
JJ McCarthy, go do your thing and win it for us.
That's not a position you want to be in.

Speaker 4 (01:23:39):
Yeah, I'm really neither side wants to be in that position.
You have two offensive minded head coaches with Ryan Day
and Jim.

Speaker 3 (01:23:46):
Harbam well, Sharon Moore.

Speaker 4 (01:23:49):
Because Jim Harba is going to be at home wearing
his khaki, is staring weirdly at the television.

Speaker 5 (01:23:55):
He's watching the game of Stallions. Yeah, yeah, you gether.

Speaker 2 (01:24:01):
What doing in the game, you know what I mean?
Is he just pacing like a mad man. That has
got to be such And listen, he did it to himself.
They did it to themselves. So it's not a pity party.
But that's gotta be a rough watch to not be
on the sideline, not having any control, man.

Speaker 4 (01:24:20):
Chewing his fingernails to the studs, Like I mean, it's
just going to be anxiety written mourning on the West
coast after noon on the East coast for him. Look,
the reality of this game is, though, these these offensive
minded coaches are gonna go into the game with the
best possible game plan. Right, We're gonna be balanced, we're
gonna we're gonna try to affect him with our run game.

(01:24:42):
We're gonna win in the play action game. We're gonna
have those explosives. Jared was talking about both sides, right,
Michigan wants to do that to the Ohio State defense.
Ohio State wants to do that to the Michigan defense.
But guess what, they've got defensive coordinators too, and guess
what they're getting paid also, and they're getting paid to
stop these opposed offenses. So again, if you're worth your salt,

(01:25:02):
if you're watching any any film of these two teams,
what do they feature? What are they great at? They
feature controlling games on the ground and beating it with
those over the top explosive passes. So, if you can
find a way to shut down Henderson if you're Michigan,
if you can find a way to shut down Korum,
if you're Ohio State, you have a great chance of

(01:25:24):
getting the W because I don't trust either.

Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
Of these guys to win games on their own.

Speaker 4 (01:25:29):
McCarthy as a Heisman candidate, I mean I get it
because winning is a huge quot when we're deciding who's
going to win that award. But I don't see him
winning the Heisman if he's on a three loss LSU team,
you know what I mean, Like, he's not that same
same with cal McCord. I mean, these guys just aren't

(01:25:49):
those type of quarterbacks. So so yeah, it's gonna come
down to playing stifling run defense for both these teams.
Gonna be a rock fight, gentlemen.

Speaker 5 (01:25:58):
Yeah, that's again. Then it looks like we are still
sitting forty five and a half. I got under forty
seven earlier this week. I would still play under forty six.
I think if you can find a forty six bet
MGM right now is at forty five and a half.
I think it's trending under guys, it is.

Speaker 3 (01:26:13):
Yeah, it's trending.

Speaker 4 (01:26:13):
Other because when we started the show, bet MGM was
at forty six and a half.

Speaker 5 (01:26:17):
Yeah, so we've seen a point shaped off. And I
was surprised because I thought Roman Wilson, maybe that was
an indicator when that move happened. It was during Seamus's
interview about an hour ago. When that move happened, I thought, oh,
maybe Roman Wilson's not playing. He is playing. But I'm
glad you mentioned Schiron Moore, Rich, because we haven't had
a lot of time to kind of analyze his style.

(01:26:38):
But he has been from what I gleaned the first
two weeks here a little more on the conservative side
with the fourth down conversions with some of the other stuff. Right,
he like the buck stops with him, So is he
going to be aggressed like fourth and one from like midfield?
Are they going to be aggressive and go for it
or are they going to play the conservative punt field
position pinya deep And I don't know if that's the

(01:27:03):
right strategy today. I think you need the explosive plays.
You're not gonna get as many as you got last
year in Michigan because you just like every play was
like a forty hour touchdown. But this year I think
you need to be a little bit more aggressive because
to your point, Rich, I don't think the defenses, like
the defenses are gonna win most of the time. So
if you have an opportunity for it and short from
the go zone, you don't know how many of those

(01:27:25):
you're gonna get with the with the style that this
game might be played, in, so we'll see what your
own more. If he's got you know, rolling the dice
today could be the difference in win or lose for
the Wolverines.

Speaker 2 (01:27:34):
It was funny Rich you started off saying, you know,
the total was forty six or forty six and a
half at the beginning of the show, and then we
gave our breakdown.

Speaker 1 (01:27:44):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (01:27:44):
And I really honestly feel like there are times where
this show is moving the market the more the more
we talk about you know, just look again, stop how
to make fights. And I think there are two things
that I love about both of these teams is the

(01:28:07):
underrated defenses. And so I think a lot of people
are waking up this morning and they're turning on the
radio or you know, they're watching the clips as they
filter through social media, and they're saying to themselves, well,
I'll be damned. Yeah, everybody concentrates on the offense, but.

Speaker 3 (01:28:21):
These are two really really.

Speaker 4 (01:28:23):
Stout defenses, and so everybody wants to bet overs and
you know, go higher on these these point totals, and
that's sexy and that's fun. It makes it you don't
have to sweat these games as much. But the unders
have great value especially in the spots like this big game,
a lot of tension, players play tight. I've been in
these situations, especially in the first quarter, as you're sort

(01:28:45):
of you know, feeling each other out early rounds.

Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
It's it's the unders hitting these games.

Speaker 5 (01:28:51):
First quarter runners a good look, but a little peak
behind the curtain here and again, I'm getting this information
from professionals gamblers. This week, Thanksgiving Week is a unique
week in the betting markets because a lot of the pros,
especially on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, they take off,
you know, they have their bets in. They're not actively

(01:29:12):
scouring the market on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday. They're
taking some time off. So the public everyone's home, they're
on their couch, they're betting the games. Thanksgiving week, the
public will have its say in moving the market a
little bit more than the average week. So the favorites
usually on Thanksgiving Day are a very popular wag here

(01:29:34):
and the number will always move in their direction, sometimes
too much. And this game, particularly because it is a
massive game, the public will have it say. So if
there's a lot of over vibes with the public and
this numbers moving up, maybe there's your indicator that there's
value on the under, but we've seen the opposite this morning.
It's moved down, So I think that kind of tells
you where the vibes are for this one here today.

Speaker 2 (01:29:55):
I like over Vibes as a good new indie punk rock,
you know what I mean? Like just something. I'm an
alternative over vibes, right.

Speaker 3 (01:30:07):
That sounds like a Spotify playlist.

Speaker 5 (01:30:09):
Yeah, you've got you've got to have a wager in
your queue before you can enter the concert, like you
have to bet it over us.

Speaker 2 (01:30:16):
You can't over your ticket? Is a free play? Yeah,
you go a free overplay.

Speaker 3 (01:30:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:30:26):

(01:30:47):
we've got rich Oornberger. I don't know if you are
blow torching some pork shoulder for Thanksgiving or not.

Speaker 5 (01:30:52):
Rich he was holding on to it really hard, that's
what I heard.

Speaker 4 (01:30:55):
Yeah, the roasted turkey give it a little glazed finish
with that flamethrower.

Speaker 2 (01:31:01):
Is there anything else you specialize in?

Speaker 3 (01:31:04):
I mean I make all the sides.

Speaker 4 (01:31:06):
I mean it's the when it comes to cooking, I'm
the chef of the house.

Speaker 3 (01:31:10):
That's it. Nobody else touches the stove or the grill.

Speaker 2 (01:31:14):
Do you have like a trademark riches fill in the blank?
You know, yeah, thanks to cast a.

Speaker 3 (01:31:21):
Roll or what.

Speaker 2 (01:31:22):
I don't know what.

Speaker 4 (01:31:24):
The stuffing gentlemen, Look, I don't want to toot my
own horn, but.

Speaker 5 (01:31:27):
If you can to, this is something you can toot.

Speaker 4 (01:31:31):
Moist stuffing right with the perfect crisp edge, and I'm
talking about like underneath end on top because I'll hit
it with the broiler. I mean, come on over to
Papa Rich's house on Thanksgiving.

Speaker 3 (01:31:43):
You're gonna eat right.

Speaker 2 (01:31:44):
Yeah, we've got Jared Smith FSR betting analyst. I'm Brian
No coming up next. Last week was ugly for this team.
Is it possible that today could be even uglier? We'll
dive into that. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff,
presented by BETMGM. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff,

(01:32:07):
presented by Bett MGM once a day, play betmgm's free
to play eight Bit Barry for a chance to win
daily prizes. Play as Hall of Famer Barry Sanders and
choose to spin, stiff arm or juke your way to
the end zone to win prizes. If Barry scores a touchdown,
you score a reward. All right, let's do this.

Speaker 1 (01:32:26):
LEO SEC matchup of the day.

Speaker 2 (01:32:31):
Yeah, we go to the Iron Bowl over here. Number eight.
Alabama against Auburn ugly. Last week before Auburn they lost,
they got smacked by Jerry Kill's New Mexico State squad.
So the question is could it be even uglier today
against Alabama. It de bets how you look at it.

(01:32:53):
It's got the potential to get away from them and
be an ugly beat down. But you could say is
it uglier to Alabama that it is to New Mexico State.
You could go the other way and say it's gonna
be a lot more memorable should Auburn get beaten decisively
against Alabama, because these games carry a lot more weight.

(01:33:15):
So yes would be my answer. It could absolutely be
uglier for Auburn today, But maybe it was a look
ahead spot last week and they rise up. Some of
these teams after embarrassing performances, they look a whole lot
better than next week. But Auburn's work is cut out
for them today. There's no doubt about that.

Speaker 3 (01:33:33):
Yeah, Yeah, there's no doubt about it.

Speaker 4 (01:33:35):
Look, I think it's fair, especially when you look at
their three game win streak prior to New Mexico State bloodbath.
They were scoring out a clip of thirty five plus
points per game.

Speaker 3 (01:33:51):
Like they were performing well.

Speaker 4 (01:33:53):
And so it's a hiccup and it could just be
a speed bump in what will be a continued progress
for Hugh Freeze to continue working on that program. But
Alabama's good. And Alabama has won eleven of.

Speaker 3 (01:34:12):
The last fifteen of these.

Speaker 4 (01:34:14):
Iron Bowls, which I know you can't really bring history
into this situation, but they've dominated this series. And again
they're the big boy on the playground and you have
to play the game the way they want to play it.

Speaker 3 (01:34:27):
Jellen Milroe is.

Speaker 4 (01:34:30):
Good enough, I think, to lead this team into a
playoff should they get there. And it seems like they
still have a heartbeat, they're still live in that conversation.
It's it's gonna be a rough and rocky day.

Speaker 3 (01:34:44):
For Auburn here.

Speaker 5 (01:34:46):
It was a master class Jerry Kill coaching.

Speaker 2 (01:34:49):
Performance last Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:34:51):
I mean it was like if you looked up the
textbook play keep away from the big favorite and try
to win the game by not letting them touch the
ball strategy. Jerry Kill that performance last week. So how
about this seven possessions for Auburn the entire game. Wow,

(01:35:12):
they had fifteen plays in the first half and it
was all run left, run right, first down, slow it down.
And also it was a lot of Auburn getting pushed
around up front. And that's scary. Now you could argue
they were looking ahead to this game. This is like
there's kids growing up in the state of Alabama right

(01:35:33):
now that are in their backyard fantasizing about playing in
this game, like this is the game. So I'm curious
how they'd bounce back from that. When you focus on
the Alabama side, I think Jalen Milroe is starting to
round into a pretty darn good quarterback. And if you
want to talk about the deep ball only, Jayden Daniels,
according to Pro Football Focuses deep ball grades, throws a

(01:35:56):
better deep ball this year, going twenty or more yards
down the field. He has big time throws. Dalen Milroe
does on throws going twenty or more yards down the field,
zero turnover where he plays. I mean, this kid is
he is the Steph Curry of college football. Not great
on the inside routes, the intermediate stuff, but throwing deep.
Oh man, he might be the best passer in the

(01:36:17):
country throwing deep. And it's not a great Bama receiver group.
So can Auburn take that away? And man, can Peyton
Thorn and this Auburn offense do anything against Alabama's defense?
I think that's where this number may or may not
be covered.

Speaker 2 (01:36:30):
Well, that's the thing is Auburn can't throw it nuh
at all at all. And if Auburn can't run it
very well today, ye, it was ugly last night for
Oregon State. Oregon State could not run it against Oregon
They gained fifty three yards and Dju is way better

(01:36:52):
throwing the ball than Peyton Thorn is, and even that
was a huge struggle for the Beaves. They just couldn't score.
That's their bread and butter is running the ball. And
Alabama their rush defense has been really solid this season,
and so if they're able to really slow down that
running attack the way New Mexico State did last week. Goodness,
if New Mexico State can hold them to fourteen points,

(01:37:13):
Alabama sure can. It's just if Alabama can slow down
that running attack, because that's really all Auburn does bring
to the table offensively.

Speaker 4 (01:37:21):
And the reality is with Alabama is they've slowly kind
of transitioned away from being a team that's all about
defense every single year. Run great running backs throughout the
course of the years, you know Ingram and Henry, I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:37:37):
The list goes on.

Speaker 4 (01:37:38):
They've They've produced tons of them, Najee Harris. It's when
you look at when you look at what they have now,
they have a higher scoring, more pass happy offense.

Speaker 3 (01:37:50):
In fact, over the last.

Speaker 4 (01:37:52):
Four games, they're averaging forty seven eight points per game.
During that span, they're they're the third highest scoring offense
in that SEC. Like, Alabama has quietly made this transition,
and they they can pile up points in a hurry.
So as much as you want to slow down Auburn's offense,
and you know, I do agree with you with what

(01:38:14):
you said about their run game, I mean Alabama can score.
I mean they're averaging nearly fifty points per game over
the last four.

Speaker 5 (01:38:21):
Yeah, Hugh Freeze, I don't know what to make of
what he's done. I mean, Auburn like Peyton Thorns, like
he has some experience. Auburn has players, but the scheme
just is not good. To to Brian's point about Bama's defense,
they are likely without their number two and number three
leading tacklers today Deontay Loss and Jalen Key. Both of

(01:38:43):
those guys have missed the last two games, and again
college football injuries. Good luck trying to figure out if
these kids are playing or not. But even if they
do play, my guess is they're not one hundred percent.
And staying in front of the change is key because
that was like the number one thing in my notes
about Auburn, like obvious passing down, shaky wide receiver group
outside the top one ten in late down success rate.

(01:39:05):
So when Auburn gets into third and long, they really
struggle outside the top one ten in late down success rate.
That is the perfect stat to illustrate Auburn's inefficiencies at
the wide receiver position. When they get to third and
five or more, I mean, forget it, it's like might
as well be third and fifty. So That's what Auburn

(01:39:25):
has to stay out of today, because man, this Bama
offense is humming, right, and it's taken some time. Offensive
line was young, new quarterback this year, new offensive coordinator,
not a great talented group of receivers. But over the
last eight weeks since the Texas loss, they've won every
game on their schedule, and they've looked better and better
each week. So I would imagine Alabama wins with margin.

(01:39:48):
But I'm assuming at some point the back door has
slightly left a jar for Auburn to kick it through.
If Peyton Thorn a company can figure out anything they
do offensively.

Speaker 2 (01:39:57):
I like this. This is a great quote from Alabama
offensive guard Tyler Booker. He was talking to some of
his teammates and he said, I heard some of my
teammates say that Jordan Hare it gives their their players superpowers.
You know. So you think about that atmosphere, this rivalry
and embarrassing loss last week, there's gonna be a lot

(01:40:19):
of emotion.

Speaker 5 (01:40:21):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 2 (01:40:24):
So there's gonna be a lot of emotion. But look, man,
I think sometimes we look too closely at emotion. Where
an example, think of the Egg Bowl, right, think of
all the emotion, Mississippi State runs out of the tunnel,
their interim head coaches on an ATV. It's just e
motion City, and then they score seven points and they
lose by ten.

Speaker 3 (01:40:44):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (01:40:45):
Like, there's gonna be a lot of emotion, But do
you have what it takes to keep the game close
and to be arranged to pull an upset? I just
don't see it. With Auburn man like they you got
to run the ball almost like your army, and I
don't see that happening against Alabama today at all. So
unless Peyton Thorn has an out of body experience throwing

(01:41:07):
the ball, I just I don't see this being a
competitive game.

Speaker 4 (01:41:11):
Yeah, I'm I'm siding with with you here, Brian. I Again,
rivalries are built up to be special for good reason, because,
like Jared just pointed out, there's kids growing up in
Alabama who their parents turn on the iron ball every
year and they live and die on this thing like
it is.

Speaker 3 (01:41:30):
It divides the state.

Speaker 4 (01:41:32):
It's it's it's football country out there, and it means something.
It means a lot, It means a lot more than something.
But you gotta have the Johnny's.

Speaker 3 (01:41:41):
And Joe's you just do. You've got to have great
coaching to compete with Alabama and Auburn this year. They
just they just don't. They don't have what it takes
to stack up. Now that's on paper.

Speaker 4 (01:41:53):
Emotion comes comes out to play when things start going sideways.
So if Alabama coughs up in turnover, if Alabama has
an untimely interception or Muff's a kick in the kicking game,
and all of a sudden, you breathe life into the Auburn.

Speaker 3 (01:42:09):
Tigers, especially on their home turf.

Speaker 4 (01:42:11):
Yeah, we may have a different ball game, but most
of the times, when you're this outmatched, it's not gonna
go well for you, especially when Alabama has so much
to play for.

Speaker 5 (01:42:20):
Yeah, we got a big game next week, right, Like,
there reaches a certain point and I know there's no
letting off the gas in the Iron Bowl because to
my prior points, it's the it's it's the freaking Iron Bowl.
There will be a point in the fourth quarter up
three scores where Alabama's like okay, like like we do
have bigger fish to fry here. This game is over.

(01:42:41):
And if you get that fourteen and what did I
just say? About the public having their say on Thanksgiving week.
Maybe we see a fourteen and a half before this
game kicks off. That's where I think the Auburn value
comes into play. Because if it's a you know, twenty
one to nothing game in the fourth quarter and Alabama's
all right, we're good and an Auburn sticks that last
one in the end zone to make it twenty one seven, well,

(01:43:02):
you know, you know, you know what the betting window
is gonna look like. It's gonna be a lot of
upset Alabama people, a lot of happy offer people.

Speaker 2 (01:43:09):
Well you talk about happy people there, Jared. And that's
what happens each time Isaac Lowenkron graces the microphone with
information and charisma, just a sparkling combination. If I could
say so myself, I low with the latest what's going on?

Speaker 9 (01:43:27):
But oh you are too kind as always, Brian, and
we're too excited because as we speak, we are now
just forty minutes away from kickoff between Michigan and Ohio
State from Ann Arbor. They're one hundred and nineteenth all
time meeting, the Buckeyes ranked second, Michigan is ranked third.

(01:43:47):
Both teams eleven and oh including eight and oh in
the Big ten. Here was Ohio State head coach Ryan
Day a short time ago with Fox Sports Tom Ronaldi.

Speaker 6 (01:43:56):
You can't let the motion get in the best yet,
you know, and that's why you try all year for
this moment. So we had a great week, good preparation,
the guys that woke up with great energy. Now we
gotta go put on the fields and it's gonna take.

Speaker 3 (01:44:07):
Four quarters, So you want to start fast. That's a
big part of the game.

Speaker 6 (01:44:10):
But but we know it's gonna go four quarters and
it's gonna be a physical game.

Speaker 3 (01:44:13):
We gotta run the ball. We gotta stop the run.

Speaker 9 (01:44:15):
All right, guys, with that in mine, I'm gonna put
the three of you on the spot. It's time to
address the elephant in the room. You guys ready, sure
this is this is true controversy, nothing like you know,
predicting who's gonna win to day or anything like that.

Speaker 3 (01:44:27):
All Right, does.

Speaker 1 (01:44:28):
Ryan Day.

Speaker 9 (01:44:31):
Dye his hair slash beard?

Speaker 3 (01:44:33):
Yes? Or no?

Speaker 9 (01:44:34):
I say an emphatic yes. What's say you?

Speaker 5 (01:44:37):
I go yes, yeah, Yes, there's someone who has a
beard with gray now seeping in at age thirty seven. Yes, probably, I.

Speaker 3 (01:44:44):
Mean, come on, that sucker, it's dark now.

Speaker 2 (01:44:47):
It is very dark. It's Robert Sala like dark. It's
Sala shaped it off for Black Friday.

Speaker 5 (01:44:55):
Yes, Black Friday. Dark is what it was. That's probably
is that Jets game was yesterday.

Speaker 4 (01:45:00):
It's the black like you know, the color of his
beard is that black that sometimes they paint on cars
where it's where it's so black you can't even make
out other details of his face.

Speaker 3 (01:45:11):
You're just like, I'm looking into.

Speaker 5 (01:45:12):
The abyss darker than Orenberger's black shirt that he wears
every week.

Speaker 3 (01:45:15):
That's your that's right.

Speaker 1 (01:45:17):
I mean, it's just so obvious.

Speaker 3 (01:45:20):
So we share black.

Speaker 9 (01:45:21):
We are four for four, apparently a lot less controversial
than I thought it would be. On Friday night, number six,
Oregon defeated sixteenth ranked Oregon State thirty one to seven.
So Oregon advances to the PAC twelve championship game against
the Washington Huskies. We do have an NFL note today,
New York Jets head coach the aforementioned Robert Sala said
the Tim Boyle will once again start a quarterback for

(01:45:42):
the Jets next week against the Atlanta Falcons.

Speaker 2 (01:45:45):
Fellas, it's all yours, thank you. I low always a
pleasure but it is Fox Sports Radio's Countdown to Kickoff,
presented by Bett MGM. Just twenty five minutes away from
kickoff right now, beautiful stuff. We'll go rapid fire in
terms of I shouldn't say that because that's the last segment.
Let's go quick hits. How about that? Hey, you keep
it drill? Yeah, two minute drill. Clemson is at South Carolina.

(01:46:09):
I love Dabo Sweeney, who's like, buy your stock right now?
Is that a basement bargain price by Clemson stocket? They've
been better lately man, and this one two combo they're
running back game with MafA and Will Shipley. It's been
on point, especially as of late, going up against South
Carolina today. But you gotta lay seven in the hook

(01:46:31):
in a rivalry game against South Carolina, who quietly has
been better, been better lately. I know they're not like
just world beaters here, but they've been better. So when
you handicap this game, what are you guys looking at here?

Speaker 4 (01:46:42):
I'm looking the same place you were just talking about.
It's it's the run game and the matchup on the
ground between these two game, these two teams, and I
think the game Cocks are really going to struggle moving
the ball against Clemson because they've struggled all year, averaging
under ninety yards per game on the Meanwhile, Clemson one
hundred and seventy six plus yards on the ground per game.

(01:47:06):
That tandem out of the backfield, staring down the opportunity
to be an eight win season after a disappointing start.

Speaker 3 (01:47:13):
They haven't lost at home.

Speaker 4 (01:47:15):
I know that doesn't matter here because they're taking the
show on the road, dusting off the road Jerseys after
a three game stint at home, but Clemson looking to
finish strong. Dabbo looking to him improve the couch pitch
on the recruiting trial this offseason. I think I think
the Tigers look pretty good in this matchup.

Speaker 5 (01:47:34):
Dabo's like that used car salesman trying to get you
a spring for the rims on the car. You know,
after you've already gone through all the paper, He's like,
you know what buy? But I got something else for
you here you might be interested in. This is a
classic motivational battle because South Carolina on five wins, needs
a sixth win to be Bowl eligible, and it's again

(01:47:58):
one of those spots where I think the motivation is
kind of misconstrued like, obviously South Carolina's motivated like it's
the Clemson. But Clemson's probably pretty motivated too, you know why,
because they got their butts kicked in this game last year.
So if you're betting South Carolina or if you're betting
any other five win team hoping to get that six win,
hoping to get a boost, because they need to win
to get bowl eligible, well, just because the team needs

(01:48:19):
to win doesn't mean they're gonna win. Clemson. I think
Clemson roles in this game. I think the running game
for Clemson against South Carolina's defense is a big edge.
And again, Clemson lost this game last year. If South
Carolina lost last year, I would have given a little
more stock to the game Cocks upset, But the fact
that Clemson lost this game last year makes me think
they are going to be fired up in this one.
And I think unfortunately Cocky will not be bowling this season.

Speaker 2 (01:48:44):
That sounds like a T shirt somehow. And we'll stick
with the acc here real fast, North Carolina against NC State.
NC State the team that's ranked right wolf packs twenty two.
North Carolina with Drake May and company. They're unranked. Both
teams are eight and three. But uh, a home dog
with NC State. And here's the thing, man, when you

(01:49:06):
look at Amari and Hampton, the North Carolina running back,
he has been sensational, especially the last six games home
run potential, It's been over one hundred yards rushing in
each game. NC State plays real defense, so that matchup
right there with North Carolina offensively, specifically the running game.
I want to see how well they're able to run
it against the wolf Pack, who is stingy, stingy against

(01:49:30):
the rush. But that is a great matchup with North
Carolina has the ball.

Speaker 3 (01:49:33):
Yeah, yeah, no question about it. It's gonna be uh,
It's gonna be a fun weekend. Boys. This is uh.

Speaker 4 (01:49:39):
This is one of the better, better slated games that
we've gotten to enjoy to close out a season a
long time. And I know it's rivalry week, but this
Michigan Ohio State game has This has more juice than
I think. I don't want to say ever, we always
do that, we're always so hyperbolic, but I'm so looking
forward to kick off here because this is the Big

(01:50:00):
Ten championship and this is hugely consequential looking forward to
the playoff picture.

Speaker 5 (01:50:07):
Yeah, I think UNC is gonna try to get like
that's what we see that that's a good, good angle.
I think with player props down the stretch, UNC is
gonna try to get Drake May on display as much
as possible. The problem is NC State's defense pretty darn good,
so I don't know how much of an impact he'll have.
It kind of reminds me of last year with the Stroud,

(01:50:29):
the Stroud Brice Young thing down the stretch. You know
which one of these quarterbacks, Williams or Drake May are
gonna kind of be the guy at the end of
the rain. But we have plenty of time over the
next three months four months to break that down before
the draft. But my guess is UNC is going to
try to put Drake in the most advantageous position possible
because UNC getting a number one pick in football would

(01:50:50):
be a pretty darn big story around those parts. So
I think they will do everything possible against the tough
enc State defense to put him in a favorable spot.

Speaker 3 (01:51:00):
And also it helps with nil all.

Speaker 5 (01:51:03):
Of it across the board, transfer portal Nil. It's a
different world today with these with these teams.

Speaker 2 (01:51:07):
Yeah, we've got Rich Hornberger chomping at the bit. Huh,
Penn State all American. We've got Jared Smith chomping at
the bit FSR betting analyst. I'm Brian, No, you guessed it,
chopping at the bit. We're all doing that, chomping on
a bone right now. We're all chopping. Oh man, We
got picks, go lore to make. Right around the corner,

(01:51:28):
rapid fire, Jared's play of the day. We'll get to
it buffet style as the ball buffet rolls on here
just eighteen minutes from kickoff. It is Fox Sports Radios
Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Bet MGM. Only eleven measley
minutes away until kickoff. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown
to Kickoff, presented by Bett MGM. Props to the crew,

(01:51:51):
our main man, Bo Benson, trusted producer, Chris Purfet, technical producer,
doing a great job, Isaac Lowenkron and only crushing it.
Top of the hour. Up on game, LaVar Arrington, TJ Hushman,
Zada Plaxico Burris. They'll have all the ball for you
here as we roll on with a loaded weekend. Hey,

(01:52:14):
we got picks to make. Let's do this rapid fire,
all right, Jared, We'll start with you, what are you
thinking today?

Speaker 5 (01:52:24):
All right, Well, I gave you a ball State money
line earlier during the parlay platter segment. I think if
I'm willing to bet them on the money line, absolutely
willing to take four and a half points. I think
of the money line plays, this is my favorite against
the spread because the total super low in this game,
just thirty four and a half. So those four and
a half points for ball State very valuable. We talked
about it. They covered five in a row, They've got
one of the best defenses in the country over the

(01:52:44):
last few weeks, and Miami Ohio on deck the MAC
championship game, so we'll see how fired up they are
for this one as they look ahead to the conference
championship next week. Old Dominion is laying two and a
half against Georgia State. This is another one of those
Bowl motivation angles that I like. Why well, Georgia State
already has six wins and they have been playing really
bad football over the last few weeks. Four straight games

(01:53:07):
they've allowed forty plus. They got lasted by LSU last week.
I think ODU, who by the way, has only gone
bowling twice in their entire program history, will win today
minus two and a half at home against Georgia State.

Speaker 3 (01:53:21):
All right, I love that.

Speaker 4 (01:53:23):
Let's talk about the biggest game on the board today,
kicking off in just minutes, Ohio State at Michigan total
set of forty five and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:53:31):
We talked about this earlier.

Speaker 4 (01:53:32):
I think this game is going to be a defensive slugfest.
It's going to be a rock fight. I'm taking the
under there. Alabama favored thirteen and a half on the
road at Auburn the Iron Bolt, no motivation needed. This
is the game before the big game for Alabama. He's
off that Belichick coaching tree. As Nick Saban, He's going

(01:53:53):
to want to get his team right before they head
into the SEC Championship game. I got Alabama covering the
thirteen and a half points. They're favored by.

Speaker 3 (01:54:01):
San Jose State at UNLV.

Speaker 4 (01:54:03):
This is a sneaky low line for two of the
best offenses in the Mount West fifty eight and a half.

Speaker 3 (01:54:10):
I'm taking the over on that total.

Speaker 4 (01:54:13):
Really productive offenses with the Rebels, pen, the Spartans bolt.

Speaker 2 (01:54:18):
Okay, I'm looking at the Ohio State Michigan game. Give
me the three points. I'll roll with the buck Guys,
this Michigan offense has been sputtering the last couple of games.
I don't trust their running attack against Ohio State. I
certainly don't trust JJ McCarthy to do major damage. So
I think Ohio State plus three is the right side.

(01:54:40):
I'm gonna go with Alabama wide receiver Jermaine Burton. Give
me over fifty six and a half receiving yards. I
think Jalen Milroe dials up a deep ball. He's gone
over this number in for the last five games. I
like that one. And then I'm also gonna go with
a running back over here. Give me Georgia running back
Kendall Milton. I love this dude. He runs hard, He's

(01:55:02):
a change of pace guy. I got to take over
sixty five and a half rushing yards. Georgia Tech just
does not stop the rush. They are allergic to stopping
the rush. Second half many more rushing opportunities. So I'm
gonna go with Kendall Milton over sixty five and a half.
All right, let's do this.

Speaker 1 (01:55:23):
This is the best play of the day.

Speaker 2 (01:55:25):
It's a touchdown to that, all right, Jared, what do
you have for us?

Speaker 5 (01:55:30):
Channeling the inner Shamous Special here, we're going Jacksonville State
minus two and a half against New Mexico State. This
line is currently available at BETMGM. I actually betted at
minus one earlier in the week. We've seen a lot
of money on Jacksonville State and here's why. So the
game Cocks are on eight wins, they're six and one
in the conference, but because of the stupid NCAA rules,

(01:55:52):
denied postseason eligibility, which means they can't play in the
Conference USA championship game next week. If they would have
won this game, they would have played Liberty next week
in what would have been a wild Conference USA title game. Instead,
this is the last game of the season and New
Mexico State is coming off of a three touchdown win
at Auburn as a twenty two point dog. So I

(01:56:13):
just don't understand how New Mexico State gets up for
this game. They are already in the Conference WHOSA title
game next week by default because Jacksonville State can't go
because of the stupid nc DOUBLEA. So I think the
game Cocks are gonna put on a big number in
this one. They're on the road, which I don't love,
but I just love this number underneath the field goal

(01:56:34):
Jacksonville State minus two and a half at New Mexico State.
Play of the day.

Speaker 2 (01:56:39):
Okay, all right, I like what you with you bringing
that up because last week it was all about James Madison. Yeah,
they're not eligible either, but Jacksonville State they got a
crack man. Well yeah, he wins.

Speaker 5 (01:56:50):
Pretty good year for at Rod.

Speaker 2 (01:56:51):
Huh, that's so silly. I like that stupid NC double
A another band name right, stupid, the very popular group.
Someone's gonna all right, everybody enjoyed the ball. Good hanging
with you guys. As always. We kick it off with
Ohio State and Michigan on Big Fox in a couple
of minutes.
