In this NFL Week 1 Instant Reaction, Philly sports talk icons Paulie & Tony Fusco tell you why they're NOT AT ALL surprised by the Tyreek Hill situation with the Dolphins and Miami police, why the Dallas Cowboys made a DUMB move with Dak's contract, why the Philadelphia Eagles already won a championship this year, and why New York Giants fans should be HAPPY that their team stinks.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Bally fools go here with Tony Fosco.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
And Dony Yo.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
NFL Week one with your song, bunch of action. Now
it's dime b NFL reaction reaction boom. Let's get right
into it, all right. The first story, Dolphins beat the Jags.
But the big headline Tyreek Hill pulled over by Miami
police on his way to the stadium. And Dony, Will

(00:29):
you just had to see this coming, didn't you.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Totally? You know, for years NFL players have been protesting
the police, so don't the police have a right to
protest NFL players.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Great point that, Dony, But of course you know Tyreek
Hill just wound up getting to the game right on time.
And it's not odd to see why, Tony. It's all
because of his gay scaleability.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yup, exactly. You know we talk about handcuffing receivers. Even
when they literally handcuffed Tyreek Hill, they still couldn't stop them.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
No, they couldn't. All right, Well, now to the Vikings.
Whill absolutely destroyed the Giants, who played like hot trash.
Now videos were circulating on social media showing the fans
the Giants fans leaving the game in the middle of
the third quarter and Tony, you know, people are saying
this is bad for New York. Well, I think this
is great for New York, don't you.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
One hundred percent? You know, one of the issues plague
in New York right now is severe traffic congestion. If
the Giants keep playing like such absolute garbage, the fans
will slowly leave the stadium in a very organized fashion,
thus reducing traffic congestion and creating a better experience for

(01:41):
all New York residents and not just football fans.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
So Well said that, Tony, and well to this story.
You know, the Cowboys beat the Browns, but the real
story was that the tame announced that Dak Prescott had
been signed to a four year, two hundred and forty
million dollar contract right before the game started. Tony, this
was just terrible diving by Jerry Jones, wasn't it totally?

Speaker 2 (02:06):
You know, instead of letting his quarterback get a good
night's sleep the night before a game, he made him
stay up all night negotiating his contract. No wonder deck
looks so sluggish in that game.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yep, he looked like a guy who had been up
all night, you know, crunching numbers, negotiating signing paperwork just terrible.
But you know, the other quarterback didn't look much better either,
you know, Deshaun Watson for the Browns through topicks looked
totally tight, just totally uncomfortable, and again not hard to
see why, Tony.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
No, you know, what do you expect if you don't
let your quarterback get massages anymore? You know, I blame
the Browns and the FBI for interfering in his training
and recovery regimen.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Yep. And you know, I think the clear solution it's
got a bit doty for both parties. You just you
got to take the shaw or a massage Paula, and
you just put him in a straight jacket. It's the
only solution.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Absolutely, he'll throw for four hundred yards next week, guaranteed.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Well. Through another quarterback story, the Bears, you saw them
beat the Titans in their first game with rookie Caleb Williams,
who completed forty eight percent of his passes through for
ninety three yards with no touchdowns. Now, after the game,
Williams vowed to quote be better. But Tony, I thought
it was perfect, didn't you.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Totally he played like a true Chicago Bears quarterback. You know,
letting the defense carry him while he played like warm
dog diarrhea. Low completion percentage and almost zero pass yards.
That's what Bears quarterbacking is all about.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Just terrific analysis, Tony. And you know, watching that game
just brought back so many memories of you know, Rex Ghostman,
Kyle Lawton, you know.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Just legendary Bears quarterbacks.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Absolutely all right. Well, now through the Panthers, who lost
to the Saints by the score of forty seven to ten. Tony,
did you watch that game? No?

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I didn't, did you No?

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Okay, well, let's just move on.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Let's go talk.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Let's talk about the Eagles game. We haven't covered it.
You know, obviously they start the season undefeated at one
to zero, just like we predicted. And by the way,
you can go to our merch store and get that shirt.
It's undefeated at one in er exactly. Now, Tony, a
lot to say here, but what's your main thought about
this very decisive win.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Frankly, to me, that Eagles win in Brazil counts as
a championship because when you think about it, we say
that titles are national championships. Well, that was the only
football game taking place in Brazil this year, so that
makes the Eagles the national champions of Brazil. Congratulations on

(04:46):
the title, boys.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
So well said that, Oh, you know, we got to
cover this though. By the way, you know, even though
this is the NFL Reaction Show, we do need to
address what happened at the US Open tennis event today
with Janet Skinner winning just a couple of weeks after
he failed two drug tests which showed steroids in his system.

(05:08):
Now he's been cleared since of all the charges and whatnot,
But to me today he made a total mistake. I mean,
if you're under suspicion of doping, the last thing you
should do is win a tennis major, Isn't that right?

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Though obviously you know if I was him, I would
have been out in the first round just to clear
all suspicion. And you know, when Wimbledon comes around, you know,
maybe then you make it to the quarters of the semis,
you move slow, then you win the next US Open.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Terrific tennis analysis that Dody and Well, that wraps our
NFL and I guess Tennis Reaction show. Hey, don't forget,
as we said, visit the March Store. Oh wait, wait,
we wanted to make this quick and get in get out.
You know, it's like every girl who goes on a
date with you. But okay, what what producing j all right?

(06:02):
Your corrections go?

Speaker 3 (06:03):
What?

Speaker 2 (06:03):
All right? Hurry up?

Speaker 3 (06:05):
You said Kyle Orton was a legendary Bears quarterback.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Yeah, relatively.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Yeah, he was pretty good.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Yeah, he never even started a playoff game for them,
so I wouldn't call him legendary.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Oh yeah, well when I throw you off allege, that
will be legendary.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yeah, you know what Bear is gonna be legendary the
one I get to maul you to death.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
At he still talking? What you said?

Speaker 3 (06:34):
The winner of the US Open was Jenic Sinner, and
I even think you might have said Skinner.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Yeah, so so yeah what No.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
It's Yannick Center, not jenk He's European.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Oh yeah, well I'm going to be European on your
dead body.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Yeah, you're gonna have a US Open stab wound. Oh okay,
wait for that from you. He's done tolding. That's it
all right? Anyway?
