Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Rago living the drain once
again on a spectacular NFL Sunday. This is Fox Sports
Red Zone Radio, Harpon and Taurres. Rich Hornberger is kicking
back on the beaches of Hawaii, where he was yesterday
covering the San Diego State in Hawaii game. He decided

(00:21):
why hurry back. He brought his wife. He's gonna hang
out an extra day in Hawaii. E look at Aaron
Torres in the building. When's the last time you and
I did a show that's been involved. It's it's been
far too long. What I will say is I had
that epiphany last night for people who are tired of
hearing me. I was until two am Eastern time last night,
the first two AM Easter, not the second one. And

(00:42):
I'm sitting there and I was like, huh, I wonder
rich Ormburger. He's a he's a go getter. He doesn't
take days off. And then I see Hawaii. San Diego
State is playing at Hawaii, and so I figured he
must either be on a plane now or he must
be extending the vacation. And I'm glad it is the
ladder not the former. Or I guess it'd be the former,
not the latter. Whatever, the point is, I'm happy to
be here, and I'm happy he's in Hawaii kicking it

(01:03):
up and having my Yeah. Absolutely. Uh. The problem there, obviously,
is that here on the West Coast, it's three hour
difference from Hawaii. The team flew back after the game.
He would have arrived in San Diego at about six
in the morning and then have to drive straight up
here on no sleep. So that was never gonna happen. So,
Aaron is great to have you here today. We got
eight games about to kick off around the National Football League.

(01:26):
Here is our lineup, Browns at the Bengals, Broncos at
the Cowboys, Texans at the Dolphins, Falcons at the Saints,
Raiders at the Giants, Patriots at the Panthers, Bills at
the Jaguars, and Vikings at the Ravens. And right now,
before we get started with the games, Aaron, there's so
many big stories that have come out of the NFL
this week. I want to touch upon him throughout the

(01:48):
show today. I want to get your thoughts on the
Aaron Rodgers situation. What what happened there? His twisting awards
to make it sound like I never said I wasn't
vac and I just said I was immy nize, which
of course was not approved by the NFL. His spin
on everything no longer spinning things. Now he's come clean
about his thoughts about vaccination. He's losing sponsors left and right.

(02:09):
How do you think this is gonna affect the Packers
for the balance of this season? Well, for the balance
of the season. I mean, I think they'll be fine
the balance of the season. And now today, I will say,
and we had this conversation on my show last night,
you talk about kind of a best case scenario for
Jordan's love. Uh, you come in your playing one of
the statistically the worst defenses in the NFL, can't can't

(02:30):
stop anybody. On top of that, it is also worth
noting if Jordan's love stinks up the building today, you
know what the conversation is gonna be. Aaron Rodgers let
him down. Aaron Rodgers is terrible human being. Everything is
gonna be about Aaron Rodgers. This is not uh, the
starting quarterback getting hurt to back up, having to step
in for him. This is a an almost perfect scenario

(02:51):
for Jordan's love, where no matter what happens, the conversation
is either gonna be he was awesome or shame on
Aaron Rodgers for what he did to this organization. So
this would have been the State Farm quarterback matchup that
we were looking forward to, or the first Super Bowl,
which at the time was known as the NFL AFL
World Championship Game. This is an amazing game because obviously

(03:12):
Jordan's love is going to be a big story of
this game, but so will Patrick Mahomes, who has looked
anything but like Patrick Mahomes the last couple of weeks,
and every week people keep saying he'll be back, don't
worry about Patrick Mahomes, He'll be back. Well, last week
might have been the worst of it because it wasn't
the Chiefs defense. They'll let them down, Aaron. It was

(03:33):
Patrick Mahomes in that offense that look completely discombobulated. And
I had a guy named San Petro who does a
radio in Kansas City, and he went through a litany
of all these distractions that are in the life of
Patrick Mahomes, and you know, social media with his girlfriend
and his fiance and his brother and everything else. And

(03:55):
I'm like thinking, you know when if I'm the Chiefs,
I've invested half a billion dollars. You can we focus
on football right now. Yes, I don't want to hear
about distractions during the season. Well, and that's been First
of all, I will give myself credit. First, I will
slap myself on the wrist and say shame on you.
But then I'll give myself credit. I picked the Chiefs
to win the Super Bowl this year. That was the
slap on the wrist. Okay um. And the reason was

(04:17):
because I believe that last year. If you go back
to last year, there were every single game you remember, Steve,
you were on air for all those games. Uh, every
game was a one score game. And they survived every
single one, every single one, barely beat the Browns in
the playoffs, go to the a f C Championship game,
destroy the Buffalo Bills, and then they get destroyed themselves
by the Tampa Bay Box. And I said, that was

(04:38):
the wake up call this team needed. They are this
is gonna be the revenge tour, that's gonna be the
destruction tour. Instead, they come out Week one against Cleveland
and it's the same exact thing. And right then I said,
there's something wrong with this organization. They have not learned
from their mistakes and it has been all downhill from
from there. Let's go back to the Rams. Rams had
a two year role that got shut down by Bill

(05:00):
Belichick and that Patriots defense and that Super Bowl. They
never looked the same. They did not look the same.
And at the very least, Tampa gave everybody a formula, because,
as Mahomes said after that game, I've never done this.
I've never been blown out of a game, much less
a super Bowl. And we have seen a lot of
the teams use the same defensive game plans against the

(05:23):
Chiefs and it has worked. Unfortunately for the Chiefs. All
the acquisitions they made to rebuild that offensive line have
failed for them. He's under pressure and all of a sudden,
he's seen ghost he is starting to make throws premature
and he's seen ghosts. I want to ask you a question.
So I think there is this idea that, like you said, oh,

(05:43):
there's this distraction, there's this there's that Super Bowl hangover.
It happens the teams that losing Super Bowl at the time.
I think it's bigger than that. I think there are
major structural, infrastructural problems with this organization. We already know
by the way, Andy Reid kind of runs a loose ship.
He's not a disciplinarian. He lets stuff slide, and now
all of a sudden it gets sloppy. It's it's a

(06:06):
little sloppy off the field. Now it's a little slopp
beyond the field. As you said, in terms of Mahomes,
that Mahomes, excuse me, there's distractions from the family. Andy Reid,
of course, is dealing with his own personal family stuff
dating back to last year's Super Bowl. If you remember,
everybody will know what I'm talking about. I don't think
this is a one year well they stuck this year,
but it's a Super Bowl hangover. They'll be fine going forward.

(06:27):
I understand Patrick Mahomes is a very gifted quarterback, one
of the most gifted quarterbacks we've had. I don't think
this is magically gonna bounce back to a thirteen and
fourteen and three type regular season next year. No, I
agree with you. I think there are some serious problems
there and they have not been able to make any
adjustments to get their quarterback on. One of the games
we've got going on right now has got interesting side

(06:50):
stories on both sides, the Bengals and the Browns. Still
trying to figure out what happened to the Bengals. How
could they Mike happen? Baby Mike White the one week
one r over four hundred yards passing next year? Then
you know his gears on display in Canton, Ohio. I
have a question for you. Yeah, did you did you
your your college football junkie? Un at? Uh? What is

(07:13):
this one oh eight pm last Sunday? Did you know
who Mike White was? Absolutely not. I didn't even know
he had come into the game the week before. I
wasn't even paying attention. I knew that Zach Wilson had
not exactly panned out to be the next step up
for the Jets of the quarterback position. Sometimes it's an
organizational thing. All right. We're watching the Bengals right now,

(07:33):
trying to bounce back. Remember, the Bengals went into last
week as the number one seed in the a f C.
They lose to the Jets. Now they're going against a
Browns team that had all kinds of controversy this week
involving Odell Beckham Jr. Brown's defense stifling right now inside
the ten yard line, that's what the Bengals are on
this opening drive of the game. Odell Beckham Jr. I

(07:56):
warned people about this, and you have started. Jeff Schwartz
was telling me because he played with Odell Beckham and
he said, he's he's a very popular teammate. He's not
a bad guy. He's is He's a really good guy.
Liked him a lot. But he creates an immediate distraction
for any team that gets him, because as soon as
he gets to wherever he's going to get, that quarterback
of that team is gonna be asked, are you gonna
throw on the ball? You're gonna throw on the ball

(08:17):
because if you don't throw on the ball, his father's
gonna be upset about it. He's gonna be upset about it.
That's why the one team I think that just cannot
afford to take on Odell Beckham Jr. Are the Raiders.
With everything that that organization has gone through, the last
thing they need almost intercepted by the way, wait a second,
what's going on here? Almost intercepted by the Browns here
inside the tent. But that's one team. De Sean Jackson,

(08:40):
I think that would be a nice fit for the Raiders. Um,
but I would stay away from Odell Beckham because he's
just gonna he's gonna take the oxygen out of the
room and you and you don't need that right now
if you're a team like the Raiders. It was really
interesting to hear the what I've heard some people, not everybody,
because I think I've actually heard more of the he's
a good teammate, he was a good soldier in Cleveland.

(09:01):
Then he then he's a locker room problem. But I
did hear some of the you know, if you're say
the Los Angeles Rams, if you're say the New England Patriot, whoever,
you're playing really well, you're on a hot streak, whatever,
do you want to bring him in for that reason?
And I said, I actually don't think that he has
been very much of a locker room distraction up until
this week in Cleveland. But at the same time, if

(09:24):
you are worried about distractions, it appears as though the
Raiders are very distracted off the field, some very serious stuff,
not only with Henry Ruggs this week, but less serious
but still significant Damon Arnett. And so I'm with you,
is whatever is going on with the Raiders right now,
I think they need to keep it in house, focus
on the fifty three. However, many guys are in that building.

(09:45):
I don't think they need more with Odell, even though
they obviously do need a playmaking wide receiver without Henry
all Right. On third and goal, Joe Burrow got sacked,
but they get a break because there was an offside
penalty against Cleveland. Looks like an infraction just lining up
up is where it was more than anything else. So
the flag was thrown, so it's still third and goal
for the Bengals. Meanwhile, we got the Giants already on

(10:08):
the board. Jones over center, drops back to throw Rose
a deep ball down the white side. Lot of the
passes caught in for the touchdown. Want to throw by Jones,
and what a catch by evident grom w Fan Giants
Radio Network. So this was another game this morning. We're
wondering the mindset of the Raiders after they're very, very

(10:30):
emotional week with the Henry Ruggs tragedy. And just like that,
the Giants opening drive, they go right down the field
seven yards, seventy five plays and the Giants get on
the board for seven nothings. Steve uh Joe Burrow intercepted
at the goal line. I believe it was Denzel Ward
took it all the way back for a touchdown for
the Cleveland Browns. Yeah, this is segment one. You turned

(10:52):
you turn around for one second. This is what about
the Giants. We're watching a replay right now. So Joe
Burrow on the third and goal through a pass, he
gets picked off one hundred yard pick six for the Browns.
So the Browns turn it right around and get on
the board first. So it's official. Baker won the divorce
against Odell Beckham. It's established, right, I don't know. I

(11:15):
want to see how the Brown's offense. That was a
really bad throw by Joe Burrow. So a lot of
people were wondering about the Bengals. You know, they got
to five and two. They suddenly were the number one
seed in the a f C. Is this team as
good as advertised? Is a huge matchup at home division
rival and the extra point is good. So the Browns

(11:35):
taken early seven nothing lead on a one hundred yard
pick six. All right, we're just getting started right now.
You know how this works. We will kick back and
we are gonna watch the games for you. We're gonna
bring you all the stats, all the scores, everything you
know our need to know. This is Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio, Fox red Own Radio, and we've got the

(12:01):
plays that you may have missed. Borrow takes the snap
play action, fake back in the pocket, throws right sideline
and prepped off. It's that's a ward. He's in the
thirty forty, he's in a fifty, he's in a forty thirty,
twenty fifteen, ten four touchdown pack six, that's award is
bar Now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.

(12:28):
This is Fox Red Zone Radio. Well, that was a
very excited Brown's radio network, understandably so. So the Bengals
went right down the field, but on a third and
goal of one hundred yard pick six, putting the Browns
up a seven and nothing. This is Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio. Harpen and tours with you. Also, little Raiders

(12:50):
have answered back against the Giants. They have scored to
tie that game at seven. So again we've been talking
about how would the Rays respond today after this horrific week. Uh,
and I'm not opening drive Derek Carr five and six
forty yards and a touchdown pass. In fact, let's hear
it play action, car back, car check put baby Hunter

(13:13):
Renfroll an extra point away from a tie. Here at
MetLife Raider Nation Radio, a M Brett Musburger with a call,
So the Raiders answer back, We've got five forty four
to go. And the first quarter Giants and Raiders are
tied up at seven. Meanwhile, the Ravens are on the
board first against Minnesota with a field goal lead, three
nothing there. And how about this, Aaron Jacksonville on the

(13:36):
board first at home against Buffalo and three nothing Jacksonville
as they tried to pull the upset of the day
at home against the heavily favored Buffalo Bill. Remember when
we were urban Meyer wasn't Eve gonna make it to Halloween.
I'll say that that. I mean that, I know last
week in Seattle wasn't great, But you win last week.
They're playing competitive. I think I think they're considering where

(13:57):
they started. They're clearly getting better. We'll see what means
from a win loss record. But urban Meyer, when he
you know, takes the team flight home, the team seems
to be playing. Everyone forgot about that the soon that
John Gruden's story hit. I mean, I mean, did you
think John Gruden for that that because from that point on,
nobody was talking about urban Meyer. And it puts into
perspective like the difference between being I don't know, we

(14:21):
don't need to get into degrees of right and wrong
and all that stuff. But in the grand scheme, what
urban Meyer was doing probably not great for his marriage,
but in terms of what exactly like for the two
day window where that you have to fire, you have
to fire urban Meyer because he was dancing with a girl.
It's not his wife. Give me a break anyway, It's
more important pressing issues to get to. But all right, well,
the Bengals now get the ball back after that shocking

(14:43):
one yard pick six for the Cleveland Browns Joe Burrow.
When we look at Joe Burrow's game, there's no question
he is a franchise quarterback. But even we saw this
a little bit with Justin Herbert, Right, we get a
young quarterback and suddenly they get the spot. Lie, do
you think, wow, this guy is something truly special. Defenses

(15:05):
will find ways to expose weaknesses in quarterbacks. They will
look for trends and things they do, and they will
make adjustments accordingly, and all of a sudden guys are
looking pretty clean for a few weeks, start making mistakes.
Now they got a counter obviously by making adjustments of
their own. But it also goes to show you what's

(15:26):
interesting what Mahomes is. It seemed like he bypassed all
you know, he's the league m v P. Then he
wins the Super Bowl, gets back to the Super Bowl.
You think, wow, this guy is never gonna have any
real problems, and suddenly they show up year four of
him as a starting quarterback. But eventually defenses will figure
you out. Well, and I'll say this too, is that

(15:46):
sometimes in sports we do these weird things and people
say stuff and doesn't really make sense. I think the
Patrick Mahomes Steph Curry trajectories when we started talking about that,
it was a on point, completely unique comple Lately, UH,
different types of players and guys that that have now
in the middle of their careers hit all sorts of

(16:07):
bumping brus a long way go ahead, such down Bengals.
They want to write down the field. Joe Burrows listen,
he doesn't have Zach Taylor, and his head said he's
got Steve Hartman. He didn't like what he had to say.
Joe Mixing essentially walking into the end zone here on
about an eleven yard run. Cleveland's defense does not look good.
They did get the picks six, but that was too

(16:27):
easy from eleven yards out. So Joe Mixing gets in
the end zone. The Bengals answer back seven six brunds
right now, penning the extra point for the Bengals. Alright,
so we uh yeah, this Bengals team is I don't know,
are you all in on the Bengals? Is this a
playoff team? Do you feel that with this Bengals team?
Are they a team capable let's say, going ten and

(16:48):
seven this year, which I think will be absolutely necessary
to be in the wild card makes it the least
becauld they win the division title? Are you sold on Cincinnati? Well,
they don't have a very easy schedule going forward. They
still have the Chargers, they still have the Ravens obviously
within the division. They still play the Chiefs end of
the season. Maybe by then the chief start turning things around.
They have a second game with the Browns. I think

(17:09):
they are the quintessential fun young team. Dynamic quarterback who
Steve Hartman was just trashing thirty seconds ago, Dynamic young
wide receiver in Jamaar Chase. They'll get to the playoffs.
They'll be fun during the regular season, get into one
of those wild card games, probably lose, But if you're
a Bengals fan, you're drafting number one overall two years ago,
I think you'd gladly take that. Well, a guy that

(17:30):
Jamaar Chase and Joe Burrow knows well. Justin Jefferson just
on the receivm a fifty yard touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins.
The Vikings lead the Ravens now seven to three. Mike
Zimmer another coach on the hot seed. You gotta believe
I know he got a contract extension. What does that
mean if they missed the playoffs again, he could be
in deep trouble. Well, it's a one pm kickoff when

(17:53):
one's paying attention, So you know Kirk Cousins is gonna
play out of his mind. Um real quick. I know
this is very ancient history. I never thought they should
have moved off Case Keenum. They get to an NFC
championship game with case Keenum. Olha, he's not good enough.
I'm gonna go get Kirk Cousins. They've never been the
same since then. That's my only that that's my only vikings.
Thought for the day. Promise the Dolphins without two at
quarterback leading the Houston Texans seven thing gasking with a

(18:17):
touchdown run their battle of one and seven teams. Uh.
The Dolphins had yet to win a game at home
this year. Brian Floores, this is a ten win team.
A year ago, they were the hot young team in
the a f C East. You talk about a team
that had defense, they had great special teams, and all
the controversy about the quarterback position, whether too was the

(18:38):
guy moving forward? Should they make a deal for they
get Deshaun Watson Sitting at one and seven. I'll say
this is that I think there's this narrative that, you know,
go into those types of games, or take these types
of jobs, if you're a coach with real options, take
the kind of job where you can rebuild from the
ground up and do it your way. Here's the thing, though, people,

(18:58):
everybody's all in on the rebuild, and then you get
to year two year. At some point you gotta start
winning games. And if I'm Brian Flores, I'm starting to
get concerned, and you know who else I'm kind of
seeing it with ironically, is Matt Rule at with the
Carolina Panthers. Is always this offensive genius he's got all
this time he hired Joe Brady. Well, now, last year
didn't work, Sam Donald isn't working. Now you're gonna go

(19:19):
into year three you still don't know who your quarterback is.
I just find it interesting. All these guys want the rebuild, uh,
the build from the ground up, all that stuff, and
then you have that opportunity. At some point you gotta
start making it work. And I think Brian Floor is
starting to feel a little bit of heat. All right,
Let's hear the Bengals latest touchdown toss sweep to the left,
Mixing looking for a running lane to the sideline. Touchdown

(19:43):
steals as Mixing takes in the eleven yards into the
end zone from the Bengal score Bengals Radio Network seven
seven that game. Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos will have a
first and goal at the one yard line after a
pass interference called by the Cowboys. This is a Cowboys
team coming in at six and one, undefeated at home.

(20:03):
The Broncos have been anything but impressive this season, but
on this drive, Teddy Bridgewater has got them moving they
have a first and goal at the one yard line. Uh.
And the Cowboys looking pretty good on that play. Now
you are saying to me off air that you think
the Cowboys are the best team in the NFC. I
counter with the Rams right now. Uh. And a lot

(20:25):
of it just has to do with defense. I mean
they've obviously dan Quinn has come in and and got
them playing much better defense. Lee Parsons has been everything
has advertised the great rookie aud of Penn State. But
still I'm not what's interesting is what you just said,
elite offensive coordinator. You didn't say that part, but I'm
filling in for you, elite defensive coordinator and Dan Quinn.

(20:47):
At some point Mike McCarthy is gonna have to make
some big decisions and crunch time in a playoff game,
which would concern me. But touchdown, Broncos. They just blew
a hole open that Dallas defl Like Mike sha the
hand was calling that play there? Wow, Melvin Gordon gets
in the end zone six nothing Broncos? Is that Terrell
Davis and John Wait? What was that? Just power football? Right?

(21:09):
That is zone blocking? Right now? Yeah? Student body right,
student buddy gunn Right? Clear, the clear of the way
into the end zone. So the Broncos getting on the
board first six nothing penning the extra point. Meanwhile, the
Bills have tied up their game against the pesky Jacksonville Jaguars.
That's my pick of the day, by the way, Aaron

(21:31):
is Buffalo minus fourteen and a half. Well, I've been
writing the Bills when they've been big favorites this year,
and they've been big favorites in a lot of games. Uh,
they've been coming to the extra point is no good
for Denver. We every week we always wonder who's going
to be the first missed extra point of the day.
That courtesy of the Denver Broncos. All right, let's find

(21:54):
out what's trending right now as we welcome back. Well,
look loose here David gas god and how David? How
are you today? Man? I wish she was in Hawaii
with Rich. Yeah, he's he brought his wife and and
decided there's no reason for me to do a quick
turnaround from Hawaii. If you're there, enjoy it for a day, right, Yeah,
I don't blame him. And lucky for him as a

(22:16):
defense kind of showed up. Yeah, San Diego stay big
winn especially since Fresno got blown out. And now if
you're looking at if you're a Mountain West Conference fan,
big showdown coming up at San Diego State will host Nevada.
The winner of that team game will be in the
driver's seat to get to the conference championship. And Nevada

(22:36):
didn't looked good yesterday against barely survived against San Jose
stage so Aztecs back end track. There you go, Um,
Sam Donald looked like you fumbled the football but got
it back. Panthers and Patriots right now our scoreless in
the first quarter. As you mentioned, Steve, you got over
fourteen that you're chasing. Bills and Jags three up. Trevor
Lawrence is four for seven early on forty four yards

(22:59):
vikings of the touchdown. Kirk Cousins is two for two
fifty six yards of touchdown pass Justin Jefferson from fifty
yards out Vikings on the road leading the Baltimore Ravens
seven and three. That ballgame is on Fox. Dolphins seven
over nothing, seven nothing over the Houston Texans. Jacobe Brissette
starting today because two a tog below is gonna fractured fingers,
so he'll be out for a little while, and Denver

(23:20):
went down the field after stopping Dallas on downs six
to nothing on that pt being shanked Cleveland and Cincinnati
lot tip at seven and peace. You mentioned that he
picks six Joe Burrows stoing I n T in five
consecutive games. Shout out Patrick Mahomes not good. Still the
best quarterback and think in that division? Do you think so?

(23:42):
I'd take him over Lamar Jackson? Very good? You. How
about tourists in the house today? Yeah, I saw you
last week Gasco. Did you we're talking Big West basketball? Yeah?
Oh yeah, that's right. Yeah. Why do you see Irvine
in that conversation? I'll be uh, I'll be in New
Mexico for them on on Tuesday. In Mexico State. Have

(24:03):
you've been to Las Cruses? I feel like I've never
been to Los Crusos ips. You know, I've not been
to Los Crusoes. I've only driven through New Mexico, driven
through like Albuquerque. Yes, yes, I've been through Albuquerque. I've
been through the heart of New Mexico. But I haven't
spent a lot of time. And how about this, I
have spent time in forty six out of fifty states.

(24:24):
New Mexico is not one of them. That's interesting. I've
been in all but six states. Yes, uh no, Maine, no, Vermont, No,
North Dakota, Montana, Arkansas, in Oklahoma I've never been to.
I've in Arkansas. Yeah, I'm lagging. I'm only at twenty seven.
Oh yeah, you get it. You gotta do what I

(24:44):
did with a buddy of mine. We did the cross
country right that was, and spent time in the Indio,
go to different states and the biggest shoe in Oklahoma. Yeah,
we got you. Guys have both gone in Nebraska. Oh yeah, yeah, Lincoln.
I actually had a great time. And Lincoln can't comment
on a lot of what happened there, but sale, everything's flat. Yeah.
My sister lives in Iowa. By the way, we have

(25:05):
Iowa Sam here, and he can tell you there's something
special about the heartland of America, right Sam, for sure
the beer was not flat. David gascon no beer. Uh David.
We will check it with you a little bit later
on how once again we are Fox Sports Red Zone Radio,
and let's hear the Dolphins getting on the board. Wildcat

(25:26):
here with Gaskin at the quarterback spot. Waddled in motion
and gasking we'll run with it the right touchdown. That's
a five sixty the Joe w q a M Dolphins

on the Browns right now. Who This has been a
heck of a first quarter here Aaron Brown's and Bengals
going back and forth, and we got the Browns inside
the Bengals ten yard line. They got a third down
here as we near the end of the first quarters.
So at least now the Brown's offense is moving. They

(26:32):
were in the red zone. Then they had a false start. Also,
nice deep ball from Baker Mayfield to Nick Chubb one
quarter into the divorce. Now this is my second time saying,
and I think Baker has the edge so far overdubs.
All right, So third and four right now for the Browns. Uh,
let's move on with more highlights. Sovereign in motion from
wing right to wing left. They run it again, Gordon

(26:53):
off the left side of Gordon to the gold line.
Touchdown Denver Melvin Gordon from three yards out off that
left side. It was well blocked, and the Broncos with

(27:13):
Extra point was no good. So the Broncos lead that
game against the Cowboys six and out. They nearing the
end of the first quarter there and the Cowboys facing
a fourth and one situation. Well, let me know about
the Broncos. They have some defense. So much offense, but
they do have some defense. And now the Cowboys are
going to punt. If the Cowboys were to lose this

(27:36):
game at home to the Broncos or that knock him off.
Your pedestal is the number one team in the NFC,
it's gotta do the Hartman Heisman. It's like the Hartman
Heisman um, I just I've just been really impressed with him,
dating back to that opener against Tampa where we spent
four months talking about Dak's shoulder and elbow and what
does it all mean, and then he's pitching the ball
over the field. I said, they actually looked pretty good,

(27:57):
and they've been pretty much unstoppable since. But yeah, you
lose to the bronco Is, I might have to reconsider them.
This is one of the games that I like today
was the Saints at home against the Falcons. Trevor Simeon
is not exciting me at all. The reason why I
picked the Saints in this game to cover, you know,
six and a half points against the Falcons is that
Matt Ryan has been killing me all season long with
picks Atlanta. No team has been more detrimental to my

(28:19):
picks than the Atlanta Falcons. I have no read on
that team, so I just said enough with this. I mean,
I feel like it's been like six years we have
no read on them at all. I mean that the
Matt Matt Ryan era is just limp into the finish line.
At this point, you realize if you say Philip Rivers
is a Hall of Famer, that Matt Ryan has to
be a Hall of Famer. They're there, their stats are
almost identical. The difference making is that Matt Ryan actually

(28:40):
won a league, MVP Award, got a team to a
super Bowl, unlike Philip Rivers I had, you would not
think of them in the same light, right, I had
never considered that. I'll be look at their career numbers.
They're almost identical. In fact, Matt Ryan will pass them
on all those stats. You don't think of Matt Ryan
as a Hall of Fame quarterback. I mean it's I
always say what we say it with baseball. It's it's
Hall of Aim, not Hall of It's Hall of great

(29:01):
not Hall of good. Yeah, Matt Ryan's just like he's
just you know, he's just been there. He's just you
know whatever, Um real quick, what you what'd you make
of Philip Rivers kind of loosely uh thrown? Oh yeah,
enjoy enjoy being home with kids. But if the Saints
made me well, He had made that clear. Nick Hardawake,
his former center dear, a friend of ours. We had
talked him frequently. He just said he didn't want to
interrupt the high school coaching season, but their season is over. Yes,

(29:24):
so he is available. Look, he is a junckey. He
wants to play the game. I've known Philip Rivers a
long time since he first broke in the NFL. Say
what he will about his Hall of Fame credentials, here's
what I do know. The guy's a savant. He's addicted
to the game. He can't get enough football in his system.
And he would do a good job for a lot
of different degrees. Uh, Let's let's talk about the Saints

(29:47):
right now. Think about think about Philip Rivers in that
Saints offense for the balance of the year. Because they
have a short passing game, it requires a quarterback to
be accurate short, which Drew Brees obviously was. There were
be some symmetry there. If he were to go to
the Saints, could he pick up on the Sean Payton system.
He would learn it overnight. That's the way the mindset

(30:08):
of Philip Rivers is. So if the Trevor Simian situation
doesn't work for them, I would take a look at
Philip Rivers if I were the Saints. I think in
that offense it would work. I thought to me when
I when I heard that, it was a no brainer
by the way really quick. Speaking of blast from the past,
Adrian Adrian Peterson making his debut tonight for the Tennessee Titians.

(30:28):
That's an amazing story. I think it's incredible when you're
talking about what is that fifteen years of the running
back of the NFL. I don't care who you are.
That is absolutely mind blowing. All right. So Cleveland right
now has a first and goal on the Cincinnati one
yard line. Baker Manfield throws the end zone and almost
gets intercepted. Wow, very fortunate that wasn't intercepted by the Bengals.

(30:52):
It's that they call it a back shoulder fade, Baker.
That was a front shoulder fade, to say the least
that was underthrown and not a could pass and he
got away with that one so second ago. Right now
for the Browns, they are knocking on the door. It
is seven seven Browns and Bengals, just the start of
the second quarter in that game. Meanwhile, the Broncos have
the ball back and they are trying to move some

(31:15):
Teddy Bridgewater is not the long term answer for the
Denver Broncos. What are they gonna do at quarterback? There?
When you mentioned the Broncos a minute ago that defense.
They just feel like the most nondescript team to me
in the NFL, where it's like, yeah, if they're playing
the Chiefs, if they're playing the Charges, if they're playing
the Cowboys on a day like today, you tune in.
But outside of that, it's just kinda yeah, Well, they're

(31:37):
running the ball right down the throw of the Cowboys.
What the heck happened there? Twenty five yards on a
run has gotten a near midfield, So the Broncos are
moving the ball on the Cowboys, already leading this game
by a score of six and nothing. I thought the
Von Miller tree was a hell of a deal for
the Broncos. He wasn't in their future anyway, and to
get a second and a third round pick at this

(31:58):
point for a guy that you probably weren't going to
extend his deal beyond this year anyway, I thought was
a pretty good deal for Denver. I was gonna say,
I don't know why we don't see that more, non
contending teams just getting rid of older, veteran, high price players.
I get it. No, no, no, no oh, I thought
we have to wait an update. We do have an update,
and that is that the Browns have gotten into the

(32:19):
ENDZ touchdown Nick Chubb one yard run, so Cleveland taking
a thirteen seven lay waiting on the extra point. Browns
are looking pretty sharp today. Extra point is good. They've
already scored more points than they did last week against Pittsburgh. Absolutely.
By the way, a little strip sack from the Carolina
Panthers on Mac Jones. They have the ball deep in
their own territories, all right, and Denver right now carving

(32:41):
up this Dallas Cowboys team. I'm really forcing Aaron to
uh flip on this Cowboys. Yeah, I'm on the Cowboys.
I'm alright. We'll keep our eye on them right now.
They have a second and ten, all right. We got
so many games going on, eight games going on. By
the way, the reason we haven't mentioned anything about the
new England Carolina game. No score, Aaron, let me get

(33:04):
your thoughts on where Belichick is going with this Patriots
team right now, so really quick. I mean, my my
general thought is, I I was a huge Mac Jones guy,
but Matt Jones at some point there is a ceiling
to what he can do because of the same reason
that Tom Brady left. Right now, Bill Belichick is not
investing in skill position guys. He's not investing in wide receivers.

(33:25):
Uh And, And it's funny to think about, like the
whole kind of narrative of well, you know Brady had two,
three or four good years left in him, Well did
he really? Because I don't think we would be seeing
this Tom Brady in New England because he didn't have
Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Gronk, all of these guys. And
so until Bill Belichick moves forward and gets more kind

(33:46):
of explosive offensively, I think there's a ceiling on who
they can be in what they can be. But I
do think mac Jones has been good. Yeah, I think
that as far as coach in the game, he's still
obviously very much an elite UH coach, but his decision
making with some of the personnel moves could be good.
Question And if the season goes south, they're sending up
four and four, but let's say bottoms out. Let's say

(34:06):
they go seven and ten. Uh and, and Robert Craft
steps in and say, you know what, I think maybe
we should bring in a little extra help. And you
know Belichick's answer to beat no either, either I have
total control of this team or I walk. So that's
something I'll be considered with the future. Meanwhile, we have
touched down Broncosandy Flags lick at Tim Patrick on the

(34:31):
receiving and Teddy Bridgewater laid it in perfectly, And just
like that, the Broncos are up twelve nothing on the
road against the Dallas count I just single handedly ruined
the Cowboys. They don't win the Super Bowl this year.

Couple updates here, the Raiders have taken a ten seven

games like this. I do have a question for you
about the Raiders. But do we have to get to
another update real quick? Well, let's hear our latest update here.

(37:47):
Second goal. They give the ball to Chop off the
right side. He drives and drives. Mayfield says he's in
no signal yet. Touchdown. Nick Chup is in It took
a while, but finally they give him the touchdown and
the Bronx back on top. It's thirteen seven from a

the Bengals fourteen seven. Brown's leading the Bengals fourteen seven.

(38:09):
There in the first half. We got eleven minutes ago.
Continue on Mr Tourists. All right, so we got Giants
Raiders here at the Meadowlands. And I know the Giants
aren't very good football team, but I bring it up
because the Raiders are up ten seven. I think there
was this thought of everything that has happened this past week, Um,
you know it's gonna be a distraction, blah blah blah
this and that you worked for the Raiders many years ago.

(38:29):
You have been around sports, professional whatever. Sometimes I feel
like going on the road, getting away, getting away from home,
that it go ahead. Best thing I said the same
thing this week when I looked at it and and
understanding what's going on in that locker room right now. Uh,
the best thing that could have happened was playing a
road game, no question. And it's just for people who
maybe don't see the correlation. I think getting away from home,

(38:52):
getting away from the wife, questions people at the grocery store, whatever,
you're all together kind of down in the bunk or
what do they say, down in the ba or whatever.
And so I'm not surprised at all by this. This
result is uh Vegas is up ten seven on the Giants. Yeah,
so the Raiders, by the way, with the Titans now
without Derrick Henry, and of course the Titans have a

(39:12):
road game against the Rams. That'll be the sunny night
game tonight. But let's assume for argument's sake, the Rams
win that game at home against the Titans. If the
Raiders win today, they're the number one seed in the
a f C. Unbelievable believe they are the number one
seed in the a f C. If the Raiders win
today and the Titans lose, I don't think too many

(39:34):
people would have thought that this is a great shootout.
Came we got going on between the Bengals and the
Browns and no one passed interference on a fourth down?
Was that a fourth down play? They went for it
on fourth and three? And what kind of past was
that call for the Bengals on fourth down down fourteen

(39:56):
seven and Browns I don't mind going for it on
fourth down, but wow, you gotta be like the Broncos
and just run a power eye. You know. Uh, student
body left, student body right there, just shoving the ball
right down the Cowboys throats right now? What is happening
to this Cowboys defense? Well, I told you this earlier.
I'm not a hundred percent sold on this Cowboys defense.
I think Dan Quinn's done a heck of a job

(40:17):
turning things around from what was arguably the worst defense
in the NFL a year ago. Um, but not so
much right now in the Cowboys defense. I mean, Teddy
Bridgewater and Tim Patrick really are kind of like the
new Montana Rice. You know, I've heard a lot of
that this week, so I mean I totally get it,
you know, only a slight exaggeration. Panthers finally get on
the board first. Uh three nothing Panthers. However, the Patriots

(40:39):
have a first and goal at the Panthers three yard
line right now, So here we go. There's New England
at the three yard line and your guy Mac Jones
hands it off Hatriots in the ends on, the Patriots
take a six three lead as we got about eight
and a half minutes to go in the first half,

(40:59):
the Patriots win this game. When you look at the
whole a f C ET situation, right the Jets awful,
Miami awful, Patriots. I don't know. I mean, I understand
Buffalo is the king right now the a f C East.
But if you look at the Patriots and they can
win the games that they should win, I'll tell you
what if this team sneaks into the playoffs with a

(41:22):
rookie quarterback, belt is gonna get some Coach of the
Year votes. Well, and think about the young quarterbacks they
could face, justin Herbert Joe Burrow. And we know how
Belichick does against young quarterbacks. All right, So Patriots with
the seven or three lead in that game in Carolina,
eight nineteen to go, we're just getting started. We're heading

I know you're a gambling attict, Aaron. I wouldn't call
myself an addict. Yes, that's that's you know. You can't
be just throwing out that accusation. No, I like to

(44:11):
gamble responsibly. Fun Is it fun when you lose games? Like?
I don't know, maybe that rams backdoor covering as someone
who bet the Clemson Florida State game and had Florida
State plus nine and a half. You don't need to
tell me about backdoor this and backdoor that, all right.
I don't know how you do it. I really don't,
because I just make weekly picks. I picked some of

(44:32):
my picks, and I have been victimized weeked after week
after week by these backdoor covers and everything else. But
if I had money on it, forget it. I mean
I'd be out. You just go into a little shell
and I would not come out, by the way it.
Speaking of going into the shell, the Saints need to
call Philip Rivers right now. Three nothing Falcons inside four
minutes to go in the first half, Trevor Simeon cannot

(44:55):
complete a pass. Yes and again in that Sean Payton
off fence, all you're required to do is throw the
ball accurately over about ten yards, and he is not
capable of doing that. So even though the Saints are
running the ball effectively, their passing game is a zero,
which is why the Falcons lead this game three and
out there. I don't know what they're gonna do, but

(45:17):
the Saints at home shout out by Atlanta's defense not
looking good. Well, and it goes back to the conversation
from the previous hour, is is Philip Rivers in the cards? There?
His high school season is over? Oh my goodness. The
Cleveland Browns almost did the unthinkable. They had a third
and one inside the five yard line at the Bengals

(45:38):
and a run was going nowhere, and then there was
a lateral that should never been made. However, fortunately for
the Browns they did recover. That was really bad. I
mean that was like exceptionally bad. There's a replay wolf
Nick Chubb was very fortunate to fall on the ball.
You know what that reminds me of Reggie Bush. Yes. Good.

(46:00):
So on a fourth and seven, now, Cleveland will try
to increase their lead on a field goal attempt. Chase McLoughlin.
Here pretty much a chip shot and it is good.
So twenty four to seven, twenty four seven, Cleveland leading
on the road against Cincinnati, a little more than four
minutes to go in the first half. Denver kicking off

(46:22):
now with their sixteen nothing lead on the road against
the Cowboys. Where is the Cowboys offense? Where is the
Cowboys offense? Dak Prescott is four for eleven and fifty
four yards the Cowboys have a hundred and one total
yards of offense inside four minutes ago in the first half.

(46:43):
So we talked about this Dallas defense. Where's the Dallas offense?
Now that I'm talking through this, Dallas is the best
team in the league. Take that I had, Um, you're losing?
Are you winning overtime a few weeks ago in New England? Um?
Obviously the Cooper Rush thing last year last week was
an outlier because he's not gonna play. But uh, you
hold on you You basically kick a last second field
goal against the Chargers. Um. And so I bring it

(47:05):
up to say, close win against the Chargers, close winning
overtime against the Patriots, You lose the Tampa. Maybe I
oversold the Dallas just a little bit. Well, I'm just
watching right now this Dallas offense. Uh, look, we need
all of this. That Vic Fangio is a good defensive coach.
Maybe not a good head coach, but he's a good

(47:25):
defensive coach. And they have come up with a really
good game plan today against Dallas. They haven't enable to
won the ball and Dak Prescott can't get a clean
pocket and he's rushing throws, which accounts for the fact
that he's for for eleven passing in this game. All right,
So now they did get a play here, Dallas did
get a play. Looks like they're gonna get a first down.

(47:46):
Uh So Dallas trying to at least get some points
on the board before we get to the end of
the half. Well, and you said, these young quarterbacks and
Daka notes year four, year, five, year six, whatever it is.
But um, you think you got it figured out, You're
throwing the ball all over the field. Somebody comes up
with something to slow you down. It's a tail as
old as time. Steve Hartman, Alright, one of the games
we had an eye on early is the Raiders and
the Giants. Raiders had the week of tragedy involving Henry Rugs.

(48:11):
Derek Carr in this game not great, seven of four
team fifty one yards. He does have a touchdown pass
Jacobs has run for forty six yards. Uh Daniel Jones
in this game is nine for nine and DeVante Booker
has seventy eight yards on the ground. But it's the
Raiders that lead this game ten to seven. What are

(48:31):
your long term thoughts on Daniel Jones? Is he a
franchise quarterback for the Giants. Um, I don't think he
is as bad as the blame that he has gotten
in previous years. I think he's one of those guys
who's a ceiling though and and at a certain point
like it, like like the perfect example Joe Burrow last

(48:51):
year didn't have Jamar Chase elevated the entire franchise before
he gets hurt justin herb. But I know he has
a lot of talent around him, elevates the entire franchise.
They would have been, you know, in lost record wise,
they would have been really good had Anthony Lynne not
blown a bunch of games. So Daniel Jones is not bad,
but we kind of have enough of a sample size
to know he is not going to reach the level
that you expect a quarterback to reach, er you hope

(49:13):
a quarterback reaches when you draft him in the top ten.
Is that fair to say? That is fair to say? Uh,
Denver just sacked Dak Prescott for a big loss third
and long four of the Cowboys. Dak is five of thirteen,
just seventy five yards in this game and two minute
warning in Dallas or it's not Dallas, but anyway, it's

(49:35):
just say it's Dallas. It's not. I know Arlington. It
is a suburb. Is it a suburb? It's not that
close to downtown Dallas. I remember because I covered that
Super Bowl in Dallas, the deep freeze. Were you ever there?
Free I was not. I read all about it though.
He was unbelievable. You couldn't get a taxi? You couldn't you.

(49:56):
I almost broke my back. I and Victory we all
went out to dinner with Sam Patash and I came
out of the restaurant on a on the ice and
one airborne, so it was like home alone. You just
turned the corner like that, just you felt it, and
all I could think about is I was airborne? Is

(50:16):
to fall flat on my back as opposed to trying
to brace myself. I did knock the wind out of me.
The owner of the restaurant came out immediately see if
I was okay, and I said, can you just hand
me over your restaurant because I'm gonna sue you for
everything you got, which I didn't do. I should have probably, um,
oh yeah, I was hurting. Man. That was here's the problem.
You're a so cow guy. You weren't ready for that.

(50:38):
Black guys. Black guys is a real thing. Man. You
don't see it. It's frozen, you know what they had
that They had this out in the balcony area, well
not balcony, but in the patio area. They had a

I'm gonna walk over there and get a little warm
because we're going to walk back to the load. We
couldn't get a cab. I've heard, I was, I was there.
That was that was. That was a nightmare week. Had

(50:59):
the final four there a few years later, you come
on National Champion. All good stuff there, all right, So
keeping an update on all the games. Carolina has gotten
a field goal, so New England still leads that game
seven to six. Miami continues to lead the Texans battle
of one in seven teams by score of seven or three,
and now the Giants have tied up their game against
the Raiders ten, ten, three, four to go in the

(51:23):
first half there. All right, We'll continue on as we
get to updated on everything happening heading to the halfs
now of these first eight games on this NFL Sunday.
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Steve Harvan Aaron
Torres with you. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
All right, we're inching towards halftime. In fact, we're almost

(51:44):
at halftime right now, as the Atlanta Falcons have taken
a ten nothing lead over the Saints. And if I'm
shot in Peyton, I gotta make some deep, deep decisions
here at halftime. Give you an idea. Matt Ryan is
fifteen seventy eight yards and a touch down. Trevor Simeon
is five for eleven thirty four yards passing. You don't

(52:05):
see the Saints in a lot of games that have
thirty four yards passing at halftime. Here's the stat for you.
On top of that one, uh My buddy, who is
a professional gambler, just tweeted out, not one favorite is
covering an hour and ten minutes into the games for
the professional betters or for the betters out there, the
casual betters, not a single favorite is covering the spread
right now. The two games that I played, I make

(52:26):
four picks for the weekend. I had the Saints minus
six and a half at home they're down ten now,
think that's looking sharp? And then I Buffalo minus fourteen
a half to cover the spread on the road against
Jacksonville Josh Allen. I don't know if you saw this, Ara,
but Josh Allen, according to Vegas odds, is the current

(52:47):
leader to be the league's m v P. And I
was like, what, Josh Allen first half against Jacksonville is
twelve of nineteen for seventy nine yards, no touchdowns. Yeah,
I'm not that that very surprising to me. What I
would also say it was interesting. I was on air
with Dan Buyer the day that he signed that big extension,
and I understand, you know, he had an m VP

(53:09):
caliber year last year, but it always concerns me when
you're paying for the outlier year rather than the you know,
every year his past. His completion percentage is improved a
little bit, but he was basically inaccurate every year of
his career except for last year. They gave him a
boatload of money, and it seems like he's regressing a
little bit to the me Trela Lawrence decent half at
least statistically eleven fifteen eight yards, no touchdowns. Again, no

(53:32):
touchdowns in this game. Come to the two minute warning
battle of field goals, the Bills and Jacksonville are tied
at six and six. Speaking of Trevor Lawrence, Actually he
just went to the locker room with an ankle injury.
We do have the audio of that play. Grebber got
looks like he got hit and he is very slow
to get up and he's not getting up. He tried

(53:53):
to get up and went down and I couldn't tell
if he got any kind of hitt And watching him,
looks like the ball was planing and that came after
the place. So I don't know if somebody stepped on
his ankle, one of his own offensive lineman, maybe walker
a little or what. But he didn't take a big
hit or anything. W j x L A M ten
ten and FM ninety two point five the Jaguars Radio Network.

(54:14):
So obviously we'll try to keep you updated on the
condition of Trevor Lawrence, who, considering the circumstances in Jacksonville,
I think that he has represented himself pretty well so
far this year. Yes, stayed out of the headlines. Doesn't
really say very much that I've heard or of. Note um,
and consider he's getting killed back there in the pocket
every week, you know, gets up, you know, takes takes

(54:35):
the hits on the chin. I think he's been pretty
solid for them. Where are the Ravens today? We got
inside two minutes ago. They are trailing the Vikings by
a score of fourteen to three. Lamar Jackson just six
of fourteen fifty six yards and a pick. He has
run for thirty nine yards. But the Ravens offense has
suddenly disappeared. And this was a Ravens team. After they

(55:01):
blew out the Chargers, um, everyone was suddenly back on
the Ravens bandwagon. At that point they had rattle off
five straight wins. Then they get blown out by the Bengals.
They have a bye week, and now they look terrible
at home and some Vikings. What's happened to this Ravens team?
So I don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves.
Baltimore loses today. They're five and three. Cincinnati loses today.

(55:23):
There five and four. Cleveland wins today, they're five and four.
You talked about an interesting division if Cleveland holds on
and and if Baltimore loses. Like literally, I was on
air last night in uh you know, two am saying
if the Browns lose this game, they're probably out of
the playoff picture. And now we're talking about them potentially
being one game out of first place. Right Bengals trying
to get on the board right before they have twenty

(55:45):
four seconds ago and they have trailing Cleveland. Seven passed
through the end zone. Chase is incomplete Cleveland. Actually that
was Higgins on the receiving and he had his hands
on the ball, but the ball is a little bit
stripped and he incomplete passed the third and eleven. Cincinnati
trailing Cleveland twenty four to seven, twenty four seconds to

(56:08):
go in the half. But this is the way it is,
you know, week to week, look at all these home
teams losing, Baltimore losing, Carolina losing, Cincinnati losing, Dallas losing.
It's just there's no New Orleans losing. I mean, there's
just there's no rhyme or reason from week to week
in the NFL. That's what I love about the NFL
is you know, I love college football, but college football, um,

(56:31):
you know, you kind of know who's gonna win on
any given week, and it's just by how much and
how many and what they look like. Uh, the NFL
is not that at all. We were talking during the
break in terms of the gambling stuff. Everybody's you know,
talking a little more gambling. I don't know how anybody
ever bets on the NFL, because you just don't know
what you're gonna get on any given Sunday. All right,
So Raiders and Giants ten ten. Raiders with the ball

(56:51):
right now, they have a fourth and three at the
Giants fourteen yard line. This game is tied ten ten.
Derek Carr in this game welve of twenty one, but
just a hundred three yards passing. Jacobs has fifty five
yards on the ground mentioned earlier. Daniel Jones still city
a perfect nine for nine passing. But it's the Raiders
that are trying to get a late score, and they did.

(57:12):
They get the field goal right before the half. So
the Raiders go into half leading the Giants by a
score of thirteen to ten. I'm telling you the best
thing they could have done. You know, it's it's just
a happenstance of the schedule. But get out of Vegas.
There's obviously a lot going on with this organization, a
lot of questions that they have to answer answer every
time they take the podium. Get on the road, get
down in the bunker, stay in the hotel, get away

(57:34):
from friends, and family in the city. They seem to
be playing. Well, let's get back to this Bengals Browns game,
and this is a game that we targeted. Is a
very interesting match of the Bengals coming off a disastrous
loss against the Jets. We thought was that has to
be an aberration. They're gonna go against the Browns team
and their heads have got to be spinning after everything
they went down with Odell Beckham Jr. Instead, it's the

(57:56):
Browns that show a big time today. Baker Mayfield is
seven of eight hundred, twenty one yards and that touchdown
pass that he threw two people's jones and perfect sixty
yard bomb for a touchdown. Meanwhile, Joe Burrow seventeen one yards.
It says one interception, doesn't it seem like he's had
more than that. Yeah. I think there was a strips

(58:19):
strip there that led to points for Cleveland um and
then there was one that looked like there was an interception,
but I don't know, maybe there was a pre snap
penalty or something that that negated it. But he definitely
has thrown it to the other team more than one time,
including one that went ninety yards either way for a touchdown. Well,
as you said, this is a division that could flip
one week unbelievable to one week, how about like twelve hours.

(58:41):
I'm telling you, I was on air at A ten
fifty last night Pacific time, saying the Browns loses game,
it's hard to see a path for them to the playoffs.
It's could be a half a game about a first
place if they went in. Baltimore loses today. And where
does Pittsburgh fit in all this? I don't know. Pittsburgh
just kind of you know how they won three in
or all? Oh, I mean, people, Mike Tomlin has better

(59:05):
Hall of Fame credentials than a lot of guys that
are in the Hall of Fame, and yet he never
seems to get any credit. He's never had a losing
season as a head coach. Never never had a losing
season as a head coach. Well, and they're sitting there
at five and four and three. Excuse me, you look
at the losses, though in hindsight they don't look as bad.
They lose to the Raiders, as you said, Raiders by

(59:26):
the end of the day could have the number one
seed in the a f C. Lose to the Bengals,
Bengals just smoked Baltimore two weeks ago. I know they're
struggling now, but that loss isn't nearly as bad. So
I still don't know what to make of them. I
still don't know if I trust uh, if I trust
Ben Roethlisberger going into kind of the second half of
the season. But they're not an easy out either. I
guess that maybe that's the theme of today the a

(59:49):
f C North. There are no easy outs in that
division alright, looks like the Bengals have come to their senses.
Earlier they went for a fourth down play that was
a disaster, turned out to be a field goal on
the other side for Cleveland, out with just five seconds
to go on a half fourth and three, and the
Bengals will line up for a field goal, try to
cut this to a two score game. Uh, And that's

(01:00:09):
a smart play. I know this. You know they remember
that one week Brandon Staley of the Chargers and they
were just going when not didn't matter. And it looks
we'll go for fourth down the whole game. They got
away within that wacky game against the BRADSI one forty two.
They tried the same thing the next week against the Bengals,

(01:00:30):
excuse me against the Ravens, and it absolutely blew up
in their face. Let's hear the Patriots getting on the
board chat the staff to Matt John's fires to be
caught at the call on it's a touchdown off Hunter
Henry as the Patriots at to their lead sports hub
and the Patriots Radio network. Patriots lead on the road
against the Carolina Panthers fourteen of six by the way.

(01:00:52):
Christian McCaffrey back in action for the Panthers, but not much,
going on six carries for twenty six yards and he
is yet to get a reception. Sam Donald is five
for twelve for thirty two yards. It's over. Can we
lay this guy to rest? Yes, take him behind the
barn and hit him over the head with the shovel.
It's time. I mean, listen, I'll say this. I've been

(01:01:13):
on the Sam Donald thing. He got worse every year
at usc UM and I vividly remember one of the
big college football analysts on the other four letter network.
I remember the day of around the time that he
declared he said, Sam Donald is not ready for the NFL.
The NFL you do not go to the NFL to
learn how to play the quarterback position. He should come

(01:01:35):
back for another year. He should get more experience. He
hadn't had he had enough starts, but it was clear
he was regressing. And ever since then I've been out
and I know it was the Jets and all that is,
I mean, you go back. He took over it at US.
He is a red shirt freshman, ritled off nine straight wins,
ending up with a big win against Pans Stay in
the Rose Bowl. Lamar Jackson is coming off his Heisman

(01:01:59):
Trophy win in year. Ap put out a preseason All American.
They had Donald first. Jackson remember the team, and he
then led the nation in turnovers and he had more
turnovers individually the next year, then over half the FBS
schools as a team. And then going into the draft,

(01:02:20):
most people are like, well, Donald's got to be Cleveland's pick.
He's a better quarterback than Baker Mayfield. And when you know,
people were crucifying Cleveland for taking Mayfield over Sam Donald.
Jets getta steal at number three with Sam Donald, and
everyone thought, all right, well maybe it's just because he
was with the Jets. Well he goes to Carolina, showed

(01:02:40):
a little promise early on and it just gets worse
and worse and worse week after week. I'm telling you,
I just college football. I know it is an NFL,
but it reminded me the only other time I've seen
that was with Jamis Winston. He got worse one year
over the next. Get declares for the draft. Oh well,
I mean you still gotta take Jamis one. It's like
why he couldn't stopped turning the ball over. It was

(01:03:02):
the same with Sam Donald. I'm not at all surprised
that he has struggled as an NFL quarter. So Patriots
lely this game, fourteen to six. It is at the half.
Mac Jones is eleven and third twenty one yards. He
has a touch now and he's also thrown an interception.
But statistically, how about this, Carolina has sixty five total
yards at halftime. Sixty five total yards with McCaffrey back

(01:03:27):
in the lineup. All right, let's find out what's trending
right now as we turn it once again to Mr
David Gascon A lot. If I tell you one thing,
if you bet on home teams today, you're hurting badly.
I took Minnesota today. I felt good about that. Yeah,
I think there's an overreaction when they played so bad

(01:03:48):
last week in a game they obviously should have won
without dek Prescott playing for the Cowboys, and it just
felt like what Aaron said, you get Kirk Cousins away
from a primetime affair, get him away from Minnesota, we'll
do some good things. When he got Dalvin Cook, he
rattled off a sixties. They had him last week. Dalvin

(01:04:11):
Cooks a horse, and they just I feel like at
times I didn't ride him enough for some weird reason.
But yeah, Minnesota's leading right now seventeen three. Baltimore does
have the football at the Vikings five yard line. It's
Games on Fox, but a fourteen point lead for Minnesota.
At this point, they're three and four of the season.
He hasn't mentioned the game between Jacksonville and Buffalo Ugly

(01:04:32):
affair twelve total points of this game six six is
a score a minute twenty four to go in the
game's opening half. Patriots fourteen six over the Carolina Panthers.
Matt Jones Mac Jones eleven thirty one and also a
score of his own Raiders thirteen ten in New York.
Falcons tend nothing over the Saints Steve did you uh,

(01:04:55):
did you like it Lina today? No, I took the Saints.
Matt Ryan's gonna killing me all season on Look, I'm
a disaster. My my picks are a disaster. I mean,
if you just put Matt Ryan and Trevor Simmons on
the same field, what quarterback would you take? Right now?
They need to remove Simeon. They need a fly Philip

(01:05:16):
Rivers in to take over the rest of the game.
That's like, yeah, oh gosh, yeah, Mimi just tacked on
the field goal. They lead Houston tend to six. There's
nothing doing in Dallas for the Cowboys. Awful. Dak Prescott
is five of fourteen for seventy five yards, has been
sacked once. They have a lost fumble. Ezekiel Elliott six

(01:05:36):
carries for twenty seven yards. Denver's leading sixteen nothing at
the end of the first half of this contest. Teddy
Bridgeward twelve and sixteen for four at TD pass to
Tim Patrick. This game should be interesting in the second half.
Joe Burrow through a pick six brown over the Bengals.
Jamaar Chase also fumble that led to some points in
this contest. So guys plenty of work to be done.

(01:05:59):
Baltimore just scored Lamar Jackson uh through a touchdown pass
from five yards out, so penning a pt, they'll be
within seven seventeen nine right now, Vikings with the advantage.
Now it's time for the NFL Fox Focus. Well, one

(01:06:20):
of the big games coming up later on will be
the Packers on the road against the Chiefs. And Johnius
right now the voice of Fox Sports Joe Buck once again,
and Joe, we always appreciate your time before we get
to this matchup between the Packers and Chiefs, which we
anticipated would be the battle of the state farm quarterbacks
or maybe a rematch of Super Bowl One. I want

(01:06:41):
to get your thoughts on the whole week for Aaron
Rodgers and and how do you think the NFL is
going to handle this situation that really came to the
top of the list of talked about stories around the NFL. Yeah,
I don't know. I think that's a big question going
forward with regard to and I mean I think it's impossible,

(01:07:03):
um that you know, the rest of us didn't know.
I mean, when he said that he was immunized, I
think everybody took that to mean that he was vaccinated,
but the league knows and the Packers news, So then
the question is is he following the protocols for unvaccinated players?
And they're supposedly going through tape and looking to see

(01:07:23):
how he was, you know, masked up or not massed
up in the facility, and we'll just wait and find out,
you know. I I'm I guess just like anybody else.
Watch it on the pregame when Jake Glazer says he's
not facing a suspension and they're not facing losing graph picks,
it's just going to be a fine situation. And if
that's the case, and I think this thing will will

(01:07:45):
come and go and in a month from now this
will be something that we all remember. But isn't the
focus anymore. I think the focus is how does Jordan's
love play today? And I don't think anybody has any
idea until he steps out on the field when it
counts and the game is his and I can't wait
to see it. I'm I'm actually more intrigued, uh than

(01:08:06):
if everybody was healthy and here planned well and Joe
that was gonna be kind of my follow up there
is obviously it is kind of the regular season first
real look at Jordan's love. Obviously, we know Kansas City
statistically has struggled defensively. Uh, talking to the coaches and
players around the team, what are their expectations of Jordan's love.
You know, like Matt Lafleur told us yesterday, you don't

(01:08:27):
know until you know. And I don't think he's being
cute and I don't think he's being ky. I think
he's uh a very interested observer. The whole organization is,
and I think the whole league will be because you know,
he's the last time he played as a starter, he
threw seventeen picks in his in his last season in college,
and now you know he had a tough time fumbling

(01:08:48):
the ball in the free season. He fumbled in Week one.
We had that game when they got blown out in
Jacksonville by New Orleans. So, uh, you know, it just
remains to be seen. I he is from everybody that
I've talked to, he has come a long long way
from being very raw coming in two. From footwork to

(01:09:11):
play calling to everything else they've worked with him. He's
made progress by leaps and bounds. And now you know,
we'll see if in a live situation on the road
in a very hostile environment in Kansas City. If if
all that stuff sticks and and if he's fundamentally sound,
as you said, if he is against this Kansas City defense,

(01:09:32):
yards can be had. So it's a tough place to
play stadium wise, but maybe not the toughest defense to
take on the way they've been playing here lately. Joe
on the other side, week after week, we keep saying, oh, Mahomes,
he'll figure this thing out, all right, he's too good,
He'll figure this whole thing out. And yet he seems
to be going in the opposite direction. What kind of

(01:09:53):
feedback are you getting from the chiefs, how kind of
what kind of concerns that they have with this offense?
Because they're an offense and Patrick mahomes play bears no
resemblance to what we have seen over the course of
his career. Yeah, I mean, it's a lot of them
shooting themselves in the foot. It's uh nineteen turnovers interceptions

(01:10:14):
by him that you know, we just haven't seen with
him as a starter in the league, So you know,
it's boring. But when Andy Reid says his fundamentals are
all over the place and his feet are all over
the place and he's getting getting too Auntie. And you know,
I think there is something to the fact that the
safeties are playing in twenty yards downfield. You know, they

(01:10:36):
have been unwilling to to kind of take the quick
timing routes of the things that are open underneath, always
looking for the deep shot, and they haven't been there.
And and so there are some faces that are getting
forced um and this team is just handing the ball
to the other side. So until that stops there there,
you know, you look at the numbers, have got what

(01:10:59):
I can look it up, hundred and twelve yards per
game of offense. That is second most enfranchise history through
eight games. So to say they're not moving the ball
or piling up yardage is inaccurate. But a lot of
these drives are ended by turning the ball over. They've
got to stop that. Penalties. They're a heavily penalized team.
It's all that stuff that gets boring talking about, but

(01:11:21):
it's it's real, and I think it's what stopped this
offense from really getting into any kind of a group. Joe.
I know you've been doing some baseball stuff, so I
don't know how many of these kind of elite NFC
teams you've been able to see in person, But do
you have any kind of feel for what the pecking
order is when everybody is healthy and ready to go?
Because Green Bay has looked so good at times, Arizona,
the Rams, obviously the Cowboys, although they're not playing well today.

(01:11:44):
Do you have any sense or feel or opinion on
who you think are is or are the favorites in
the NFC, which is obviously absolutely stacked right now. Yeah,
I mean it's stacked, and you know, I would have
been willing to put Dallas even in the conversation and
tel what they're on today. We're just standing here in
the booth watching it, kind of dumbfounded. But I I think,

(01:12:05):
as you said, if you if you preface it with
everybody's healthy, then I I think Tampa Bay. I think
Tampa Bay is still the team to beat. Their their
secondary has obviously been ravaged by injuries. L a um
Arizona I think still has something to prove. Even though
they were the last undefeated team. Uh, they didn't look
that good when we had them last a week ago

(01:12:27):
Thursday against Green Bay. Defensively, I still think Green Bay
has got something to prove um, but they should get
healthier and better as the season goes on. They missed
a Darius Smith a lot, so you know it's who
comes back and when they come back, how healthy are
they and how you know, into the into the flow

(01:12:47):
of the offense or defense they get. But I I
still go back to Tampa Bay if if they're healthy,
I think they're really hard to be I agree with
you on that one, Joe. Just just one quick thing
here about Matt Lafleur and their game plan with your
and Love at quarterback. Obviously they had all week to
prepare for this, but are are you expecting to see
them run essentially the Aaron Rodgers offense? Can you run

(01:13:10):
that kind of offense with Jordan's Love or are they're
gonna scrap that and try some new things with Jordan's Love.
They didn't scrap it. They had it all, you know,
they had the fundamentals and the face offense in when
they found out about the positive diagnosis for COVID and
they had to change gears on Wednesday, but he said,

(01:13:30):
we tweaked some things, you know, we'll get him out
on the edge a little bit more than they would
have with Aaron Rodgers. I think he's more worried about,
you know, not having Rogers experience that covers up so
many holes and and every team has them, but they've
got some holes on their offensive line. Box. TR's not
going to be back this week, so they have to

(01:13:52):
wait another week for that. Um. And and Rogers is
just so good at getting them into things that work,
uh and getting rid of the ball so fast that
he can cover cover up a lot of things. So
I think that's where he's most concerned. Um. But they're
gonna turn them loose, They're gonna let him play. He
told Jordan's you know, see it and believe it and

(01:14:15):
throw it and if it doesn't work, it doesn't work.
But don't be hesitant. And I think that's you know,
probably a good message for him or anybody getting their
first crack out of just just do what you do
and we'll clean it up after the fact. Yeah, it's
amazing when you think about you see this game in
your schedule before the season and think, wow, man, the
two best quarterbacks perhaps in the league, going head to head.

(01:14:36):
I'm with you on this one, Joe. I think it's
even more intriguing matchup. What are we going to see
from Jordan's love and are we going to receive finally
see a return to form Patrick Mahomes, We'll be watching.
It's always Joey appreciate at the time. Thanks so much.
All right, guys, thank you. That's Joe Buck there doing
the game today. That'll be the Packers and Cheese. And

(01:14:57):
just to follow up here on this game, Aaron, it
really is not what we expected. If you look at
the preseason scheduled midseason game remain Bay Kansas City, maybe
two teams are preview of the Super Bowl instead. A
lot of questions on both sides. Well that was the
big thing. Remember they had the seventeenth game. Oh look
who the Packers got. Look who the chief Scott. And

(01:15:18):
now it's like you kind of look around and you're like, okay,
Chief's Chiefs signed very good right now, so their best
team in their division. All right. On the other side,
we're gonna get you caught up on things. Yeah, how
about this second halfs are already underway on these early
games around the National Football League for all the latest,
keep it right here on Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Oh,

(01:15:41):
this is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've got them
plays that you may have missed part of a shotgun.
He takes the stocks back and looked it left the
whole way. He throws it left and it's intercepted by
the Giants ptitty down the right side like touch dot.
Giants say, very McKinny with his first career pick six.

(01:16:05):
Now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio. That was w FAN
Giants Radio network, And just like that, the Giants take
a seventeen thirteen lead over the Vegas Raiders inside twelve
minutes ago in the third quarter. In that game, meanwhile,

(01:16:27):
Dolphins looking good back to throw pressure at games foot.
It's Mac Collins who makes a diamete kits in the
back of the end zone and Dolphins finally have their
first touchdown in the second quarter of this year. Mac
Collins go down and get at the end zone. Man.

(01:16:48):
That is a M five sixte the Joe w q
a M Dolphins Radio networked J Kobe perced in this
game thirteen hundred forty six yards and a score to Rod.
Don't call me Tyrod Taylor is a nine of nineteen
nine yards. Two picks not looking good seventeen six Dolphins
leading the Texans at the half. Do we have some

(01:17:09):
raven highlights for us? Jackson throws quickly, he's got a man.
Why don't put Defonte Freeman touchdown? Ravens And how's that
for a turn of events? With nineteen seconds left to
the opening half, w b Al Ravens Radio Network. Just
when Gascone said he was all over the Vikings, immediately
the Ravens score to make it a game. So that

(01:17:31):
game right now is what are we at? Seventeen ten?
Vikings leading this game against the Vikings. Vikings just scored again.
The Vikings took back the kickoff for a touchdown. Wow,
look at gas Gone. I was wondering, he's doing a
dance right now, doing a little jig. Meanwhile, we're watching this,
uh Dallas Denver game. What happened here? Ryan? We had

(01:17:55):
a blocked punt for the Cowboys, and I look and
it's the Broncos scoring again. Right, Yeah, the Cowboys blocked
the punt, but the Broncos picked it back up and
moved forward with it and so retained possession. I'm not
entirely certain how that. I think it's because of the
block Gascon. Do we have an update from David Gascon,

(01:18:18):
what happened When the punt was blocked, it moved forward
for Denver. They're not legally allowed to recover it and
advance it and keep possession, but a Dallas defender touched
it after a crossed the original lot of scrimmage, so
in turn, it's treated like a live ball in a fumble.
So Denver recovered it, they went down the field and
just got a field goal. Gascon? Do you have an

(01:18:39):
update on the Falcons game with the Saints? For those
scoring at home? Do you? No? I think Steve Hartman
does I. I it's one of my picks of the week,
seventeen three. You're vomiting all of yourself. It's just a
Trevor I have seventeen three. No, no, no, I said,
did I say? You said? My apologies? It was a

(01:19:00):
lot worse than I made it up. Yeah. I was
getting excited there. I thought, you mean the Saints are scoring.
I look up and I go, No, Trevor Simeon is
still at quarterback for the Saints right now, so then
I canna do much scoring with him at quarterback. Well,
in his defense four point nine yards per completion. I
mean he's throwing the ball all over the field. I
will say this, though the Saints have more points than
the Cowboys have right now, they sure do, baby, how

(01:19:21):
about them Cowboys? Nineteen nothing? Bron goes with eight minutes
to go in the third quarter, Dak Prescott stuck five
of four team for seventy five yards. I will say this.
One of my hot takes early last year was I said,
I think Mike McCarthy is gonna get the Freddie Kitchens
one and done deal because if you watch them last year, unprepared, penalties,

(01:19:41):
blown leads, all that stuff, and then of course what
ends up happening, Dad gets hurt, everybody forgets about it.
The team actually plays pretty decent down the stretch with
Andy Dalton. But what did I say, even in the
first hour, I said, I like the Cowboys, great offensive
coordinator Kellen Moore, great defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, But do
you trust Mike McCarthy. And today's one of these days
that's proven. Why uh, let's get a falcon's highlight in

(01:20:02):
right now? Please, here's Ryan going to work under center
Patterson still there, Matt gonna sprint to the right now
point and keep it and score strung it all the
way out, and all of a sudden, there were more
white shirts and black shirts for the touchdown run by
Ryan in one of the finest two yard runs in
the history of American football. I feel like they're laughing

(01:20:24):
in my face, and they're taking the Saints in this game.
Ninety two point nine the game Falcons Radio Network seven
teen to three. Falcons lead this one. Matt Ryan's had
a big day in my face, eighteen or twenty three,
two hundred and fifty five yards and the score. Uh.
And they haven't had to have a running game today.
They have none. They don't need it as long as

(01:20:44):
Trevor Simeon as a quarterback for the Saints. Uh, Saints
are gonna have to get back to the drawing board.
He can't have Trevor Simeon. The Simeon story out of
Northwestern was amazing, right. Remember you had already signed up
for grad school and then and then suddenly somebody said
you just got aften. He goes, who in the seventh round?
He goes, They did, All right, we'll find I'll show

(01:21:07):
up next thing. You know. He was their starting quarterback.
I didn't even know Simeon was in the league. Still, Oh,
I I didn't either, Gino Smith, by the way, I
had that moment earlier this year as well. Uh, speaking
of college, the Raiders just put in Marcus Mariota for
one play, pulled the Scott Frost option read off the end.
He ran for about thirty yards. Now the Raiders are
in the red zone against the Giants here all right,

(01:21:28):
so Raiders on the move. It's Giants leading this game
by a score of seventeen to thirteen. We're inside around
the seven minute mark of the third quarter and the
Raiders are down to the fourteen yard line. They have
a four first and uh down right there. It's been
an interesting week, to say the least for the Raiders.
The Henry Ruggs situation was just so horrific um and

(01:21:50):
and I mean part of the story in this horrific
story of which a woman and her dog lost their
lives was that Henry Hugs was making progress as a
player after a pretty nondescript rookie season. The word on
Ruggs was he was the first in last to leave
working hard on his game. He'd already match his season

(01:22:13):
totals of a year ago in just half a season.
Why all accounts are very popular teammates, which only compounded
the horrific nature of what happened at night. Well, and
you hear the stories of his texting Derek Carr and
uh Hunter Renfro from top golf, let's work on our swing.
Blah blah blah, bah blah. Tragedy all around. It goes

(01:22:34):
without sayings. All right, Derek Carr in a little bit
of a scramble there, and they have a third down situation,
third and one, Raiders trying to regain the league. Right now,
the Giants lead this game by a score of seventeen
and thirteen. All right, second, so underway. We got lots
going on and once again, there's only one place to
be for all your NFL coverage. That's right here with

(01:22:54):
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Fox Sports Radio has the
best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch all of
our shows at Fox Sports Radio dot com and within
the I Heart Radio app. Search f s R to
listen live. Wong Goo from the two to the five,
from attend to the fifteen to the twenty angle to
the right to the thirties. Now we else, Prince Tucker

(01:23:15):
and can I Wall do is go? A ninety eight
yard kick return by rookie Can I wong do? That
is k FAM Inneapolis and the Vikings Radio network ninety
eight yard kickoff return. Isn't that a cyclone? There was

(01:23:36):
Sam gone like that? However, the uh Ravens have answered back.
So it is now seventeen, Minnesota leading that game inside
nine minutes ago in the third quarter. Meanwhile, the Patriots
are having a day play fake to Hubbard knot like
to the near side for Donald under pressure tosses the

(01:23:56):
bo intercept the s J. C. Jackson goodbye to the
forty to the fifty, down the mid of the field,
of the forty to the thirty, to the twenty. He
has head pick six touchdown Patriots, the Sports Hub and
the Patriots Radio Network. Patriots lead this game by score
of twenty one to six. Sam Donald is seven of

(01:24:20):
eighteen seventy eight yards and the pick right there. It's
gonna be really awkward when next next year, when Richard
warren Berger's out, Sam Donald's in here next to five
for red zone radio. You can't gonna be the starting
quarterback in the NFL for very much long. No, not
much longer. Speaking of starting quarterbacks, we have some news
right now. I did I just saw something on social

(01:24:42):
media from someone named Darren Urban who seems pretty credible.
Let me see if I can find it. Uh, you
caught me off guard here, Steve. But apparently Kyler Murray
is inactive today and DeAndre Hopkins as well. This is
from Darren Urban working my twenty second season and covering
the Arizona Cardinals. Um. He says that Kyler Murray and

(01:25:04):
DeAndre Hopkins are both inactive today against San Francisco. Colt McCoy.
We're just talking about Colt McCoy, You Heisman Trophy voter.
You McCoy is still in the league. Hey man, Gino Smith? Baby,
how about that NFC West who had Cult McCoy and
Gino Smith on their NFC West Bingo card back in September.
So let's say if you had taken the forty Niners

(01:25:26):
minus two in that game, you'd be feeling pretty good
right now. Yeah. Probably. I mean, I don't know what's
going on in San Francisco though. Well, Jimmy Garoppolos coming
off one of his best games, certainly his best game
of the year. Um, I don't know. I mean this
you talk about a must win for uh, the forty Niners.
There are three games back the Cardinals coming into the day.
By the way, the forty Niners haven't won a home

(01:25:48):
game this year. Uh, and the Cardinals haven't lost a
road game this year. But the Cardinals gonna have to
do it without Kyler Murray. I will say I was
on the why are we calling Kyle Shanahanna genius train? Early?
I'm glad everyone has joined me aboard that train. Um.
I get that Jimmy g has been in out, banged up, whatever,
but at the point, you gotta win some games before

(01:26:08):
we start calling you a genius. And I know he
made the Super Bowl that one year. So let's go
back to David Gascon right now, what he got davind
I gonna ask, why isn't Ryan activating his microphone today
at all? He's like scared you guys, It's not he's not.
He's a little intimidated by Aaron was waiting for Were
you about to say that Joe Burrow got picked off?
That's right, I was waiting for a little break. It's

(01:26:29):
another first goal for the Browns already up in this
game thirty one to ten in Cincinnati. Tip ball interception
for Cleveland and let's hear Cleveland's latest touchdown hate field
from his own thirty second and Ted turns gifts Chop
runs thirty thirty five. There he goes forty, forty five, fifty,

(01:26:49):
there he goes forty He's running to the river. Townty
fifty touchdown. That job yet, that's Brown's radio now works.
Seventy yard touchdown run for Nick Chubb. He has good
numbers today. Eight carries for a hundred ten yards and
two touchdowns thirty one to Tam Brown's leading Cincinnati six

(01:27:10):
and a a half minutes ago on the third and it
looks like they're gonna add to that. Meanwhile, the Ravens
had an answer for the Vikings. Jackson fakes the handoff,
throws full back put Ricard, touchdown. Ravens. Pat Ricard came
into today with three receptions. He closes out this drive
with his third reception of the possession. W B A L.

(01:27:33):
Ravens Radio Network seventeen. Vikings leading the Ravens. Um, I'm
almost keep an eye in this Dallas game. Uh Dak
Prescott looks like he's in a state of shock right now,
as they just turned the ball back over to the Broncos.
Nineteen nothing Broncos inside four minutes ago in the third quarter,

(01:27:54):
Dak Prescott a six of nineteen for seventy nine yards.
Not good, real quick? Who is you Who is the
best team in the a f C in your opinion?
I'm so, what are you saying right now? I don't
I think that are the right answer. I just they
do nothing for me. I think I'm not saying that
they're better than I don't right now. If you say,
who are the top five teams in the NFL, They're

(01:28:17):
all NFC. That's why I asked Joe Buck, I said,
who's the best team you've seen? I want to know?
Oh no, I don't have an a f C team
on my top five power rankings. Who are your top
five coming into today? Well, I guess in order. Right now,
I have the Rams number one. Say that I probably
would still have Arizona number two because they should have
won last week. But I don't know what's going on now.
Because if Kyler Murray's adds a different team, I would

(01:28:39):
have Tampa three. I would have had the Green Bay
four in Dallas five, because I told you going in
I still wasn't a sold on Dallas's defense. But today
they have no offense none. Zero. Adam Schefter, by the way,
has just confirmed Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins both inactive
today for the Arizona car Well, if you put a

(01:29:00):
little wager on the forty Niners are feeling pretty good.
But I keep in mind again the forty Nights have
not won a home game all season long. Third and
goal for the Browns, so they will not get the touchdown.
They're gonna have to settle for a field goal attempt.
No problem here in Cleveland, leading Cincinnati by a score
of thirty one to ten five minutes ago in the
third quarter, and I think we got another field goal

(01:29:20):
in Buffalo Jacksonville. Baby, great day to be a kicker there,
although there is a flag on the field. What is
going on with Buffalo's offense today? They have no running game.
I mean outside of Josh Allen who has fifty yards
on the ground rushing, Singletary and Moss combine eight carris
for nineteen yards against Jacksonville, you can't run the ball?

(01:29:42):
Is New England right now the best team in the
a f C. Come on now, I mean, I'm just
saying I don't buy Buffalo. Who's gagging right now against
the They're about to fall down to the Jaguars, the Raiders.
There's a lot going on. We can all admit that,
uh tight ends are without Derrick Henry. I'll say this,
I don't know about the Patriots, the brown The Browns
can start. I was waiting for you to say the Browns.

(01:30:05):
By the way, they did get the field goals, So
thirty forward to tan Browns, so you could walk away
from this weekend Week nine. By the way, field goal
attempt by the Jacks is no atose job right there.
So it remains six six right now, Buffalo and Jacksonville
to go in the third corp. There is a penalty
though on the field goal attempt, and it looks like

(01:30:30):
roughing the kicker. Well, and here's the thing. The kicker
made a field goal and it was a false start,
got a second shot at it, missed it. Now he's
gonna get a third. It looks like all right running
into the kicker there. Um, So you're saying that at
the end of this weekend, based on this dominant performance
by the Browns in Cincinnati, that you're gonna be trumpeting

(01:30:50):
Cleveland that's the team to beat me. I am not
trumpeting anything. Okay, well I'm trumpeting that Baker won the
O'Dell divorce for one day until he signs with a
new team. But no, I'm just saying, is you start
to line teams up the Titans without Derrick Henry, we
don't really know about the Raiders. Obviously, Cleveland went score
for score with the Chargers in in l a deep

(01:31:12):
into the fourth quarter. I'm just saying, I just I
just halfway through last season, would you have said I'll
put all my money on Tampa Bay winning the Super Bowl?
Of course they were my preseason picks, so I don't
think you were feeling too good. And they when they
were seven and five, after the club completely discombobulated, when
they had that bye week, and all of a sudden

(01:31:33):
they well they didn't lose another gamey TB twelve method, baby,
uh huh? Alright, Denver trying to add to their lead,
and wow, you gotta catch the ball, Teddy Bridge ordered
to Tim Patrick, gets the new Montana to Rice like,
is that a catch? What are they ruling here? The
ball was He had the ball for about a step
and it was knocked out by Dallas. I guess they're

(01:31:54):
gonna call that an incomplete pass, all right. We're also
keeping our eye on the Raiders Giants game. We're trying
to fire out which games we have going on right
now that could come down to the wire. This might
be the best of them. We're going to the fourth
quarter and the Giants are leading the Raiders by a
score of seventeen to sixteen. Daniel Jones actually did get

(01:32:14):
an incomplete pass. He's now thirteen of fifteen in this game.
DeVante Booker has ninety nine yards on the ground. Uh.
Neither team is doing much offensively at all. A big
pick six is the difference in this game. While the
Giants are still leading the Raiders. But I think in
light of where's the field goal attempt by the Giants
is good? All right? So the Giants up there lead

(01:32:35):
twenty to sixteen, just underway in the fourth quarter. There
you see that stat right there, Cleveland Brown's first team
since nineteen sixty seven who have an interception return, a
reception touchdown, and a rushing touchdown all of sixty plus yards.
Last team to do it, the sixty seven Chargers. That
was That was an a f L team, that wasn't

(01:32:57):
even an NFL team in nineteen sixty seven. You gotta
talk to the TBS. I know they sort of inherited
all the stats, but technically that was an a FO
game in nineteen sixty seven. All right, we'll continue on
here as we are head now into the fourth quarters
of eight games going on around the National Football League.
Just keep it right here on Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

(01:33:19):
Steve Harvin, Aaron Torres, this is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
All right, let me get jail update on all the
scores around the NFL right now. Uh, the Browns leading
the Bengals thirty four to ten inside a minute to
go in the third quarter. There two minutes to go
on the third quarter. It's still all Broncos nineteen nothing
over the Cowboys, five minutes to go on the third

(01:33:42):
Dolphins leading into Texans seventeen to six. Fourth quarter, now
inside eleven minutes to go. Falcon still leading the Saints
seventeen to six, twelve minutes to go on the fourth quarter.
Of the Giants are leading the Raiders twenty to sixteen
nineteen seconds left in the third quarter. Patriots, I mean
at Carolina twenty four to six inside two minutes ago

(01:34:04):
in the third quarter. This is just a crazy score.
Bills in Jaguars six six and three minutes to go
in the third quarter, Vikings leading the Ravens twenty four
to seventeen. Would you have bet the bank on the
under in the Bills Jaguars game. I mean again, I
don't know, Aaron. You you you put some odds out there.

(01:34:27):
You make picks about college though, I mean college you
got a board of fifty games. I mean the NFL
you got sixteen games, and the talent is so flat
um flat, meaning pretty equal. I don't know how anybody
does the NFL. I mean, I you know, obviously, in
what we do, you kind of have to have an
opinion on all these games. But I don't know how

(01:34:47):
anybody has any any consistency. Is Josh Allen was just
picked off? You saw by the way Josh Allen sacked
Josh Allen in the Jaguars Bills game, right first time.
I hate having to make weekly I feel like we're
almost obligated if you do a daily radio show that
sort of makes some NFL picks every week. I've gotten

(01:35:08):
to the point this season because I'm going against my
my board of you're just kicking my ass. You know,
just destroy me right now, and we have what we
call our bonus pick of the week. So it's it's
very simply if you get it right to get a point.
If you miss it, you get zero. But the bonus
pick can you get two points if you get it right,
but you get a minus one if you get it wrong.

(01:35:31):
My bonus pick today was Buffalo minus fourteen and a
half against Jacksonville six six. By the way, I don't
mean to cut you off, but very weird. I just
mentioned that Josh Allen thing right, as Kevin weeber tweets
in been listening off and on, did you guys mention
that in the Jags game, Josh Allen sack Josh Allen.

(01:35:51):
First time that's ever happened. What happened? Josh sacked Josh
Allen the quarterback that I was saying, and Kevin tweeted
as the words were coming out of my mouth. So
shout out to Kevin. We're in some weird inception Josh Allen,
Josh Allen, Kevin and Torres on the same wavelengths. So
the first time in history though. Well, the other game
I picked today was the Saints minus six and a

(01:36:12):
half Atlanta just scored again. I cannot believe hot of
all the games on this I told you Matt Ryan
all season long has been killing me, then why wouldn't
you pick him if he's been killing you know, because
I'm not going to pick him. And by the way,
he's having a day and then some. Matt Ryan is
twenty seventy four yards and two scores having a big day. Uh.

(01:36:33):
Taysam Hill finally finally in the game for the Saints,
but too little, too late. This one is all Atlanta,
leading by a score of twenty three to six. So
I do have a question for you, right, you know
how you said you make your picks. We all do. Yeah,
I'm not saying I get mine right, I get mine wrong.
I think I really very much thought we would get

(01:36:53):
a great Brown's performance today based on the fact that,
of course Odell in the news all that stuff. But
this team has statistically played much better without him. Are
you at all surprised by the results? Maybe not? The Yes,
I thought I was. I was on the Bengals bandwagon,
I really was. I thought after they blew out the

(01:37:13):
Ravens that the Bengals had truly arrived. And I'm watching
that Jets game, and you know they weren't playing well,
but they were up ten late. It's the Jets all
of a sudden, you know, Mike White, a couple of
scorers and his jerseys on his way to Canton, and
all I could think was, all right, that was an

(01:37:34):
aberration the Bengals. I don't know what happened there, but
you know, you just have one of those days. They've
been a disaster today, disaster thirty four to ten Cleveland.
Now the Bengals do have the ball right now, but
we're coming to the end of the third quarter and
Joe Burrow has made some rookie mistakes. He's thrown it,

(01:37:57):
there's a drop all in the end zone. They're is
that was a touch? Jamaar Chase? What's this one? Jamaar
Chase right through his hands, right through his hands. So
that's the guy we saw in the preseason. I was
just gonna say, wasn't that a thing there? For a minute? Uh. Meanwhile,
they keep showing shots of Dak Prescott on the sidelines

(01:38:20):
for the Cowboys. They just came to the end of
the third quarter, just the start of the fourth quarter,
Denver on the move again, up nineteen and nothing. Dak
Prescott is six of nineteen seventy nine yards. They have
a hundred and thirty excuse me, a hundred and twenty
two total yards in this game the Cowboys. Is it
time to think about going back to Cooper rush permanently?

(01:38:42):
I kid, I kid, I what how do you explain this?
By the way that Denver, that Dallas defense has given
up a hundred and seventy six yards on the ground
to Denver at Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon lighting them up.
By the way, I did see something I don't think
we ever fully updated it. Burst told us last hour.

(01:39:02):
Trevor Lawrence went to the locker room ahead of ahead
of half time with an apparent ankle injury. He is
back on the field. So he is back on the field.
Good news there for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Uh, that game
is still six six as we had to the fourth quarter.
Falcons did by the way, Tech on that extra point,
So twenty four to six. Falcons are leading the Saints.
That game is eleven minutes to go, so you know

(01:39:25):
we're hoping for fantastic finish and right now the only well,
I look at the Ravens have the ball right now,
start of the fourth quarter. They're trailing the Vikings by
a score of twenty four to seventeen. And that's been
one part of Lamar Jackson's game we've seen over the
last year or so, his ability to bring a team back,
because in his MVP season every game scenely was a

(01:39:47):
blowout Ravens, and suddenly when he got to the postseason
and had to deliver, he came up short. Let's get
that latest Falcons score, tight end, left eye formation, way
fake Ryan Matt looks he's gonna throw and open and
caught touchdown and another one for a Lamadays the kiss

(01:40:10):
two point nine the game Falcon's radio network. Another losing
pick for me. Losing. So we have the Jaguars driving
in a six six game against Buffalo in the fourth quarter.
It's early in the fourth quarter, but they're driving. Where
would this rank in terms of most shocking upsets in
recent memory? Well, again, we're talking about a Bill's team

(01:40:30):
that was more than a two touchdown favorite, which we
don't see very often the NFL. By the way, Jeff
Schwartz did a little research. When you talk about teams
that are huge favorites more than two touchdowns in the NFL,
they cover about eighty percent of the time. Yes, Bernie Fretta,
who does straight out of Vegas after me on Saturday nights,
he has some stets pretty similar to that, like if
you're more than a two touchdown favorite, which rarely happens

(01:40:52):
in the NFL, it usually means a blowout, which is
why I thought Buffalo was a good play against Jacksonville today.
Who could have imagined Jacksonville holding the Bills without a touchdown?
So much for Josh Allen and his m v P
favorite status. When here's some numbers, He's nineteen or thirty
win for a hundred and fifty four yards two picks,

(01:41:14):
two picks, no touchdowns for this Buffalo Bills team. This
would be a huge game for Urban Meyer. It would
be if they win this game against the Buffalo Bills.
I mean, so let me ask you though, but I mean,
at the end of the day, this is still gonna
be what a three and fourteen football team even if
they win today, Like, so, how long do you realistically

(01:41:35):
think that he has because he's just he's not a
five year rebuild, built for the long haul kind of guy.
He's there for a good time, not a long time.
That's no pun considering what he did at the bar.
But like I I still think, even like it'd be
a great win today, I just still don't see him
as like a five year Jacksonville Jaguars coach kind of guy,
if you know what I mean. Well, then he signed

(01:41:56):
a long term contract. I don't think he's going back
to the college game. I mean, there was a lot
of speculation about this, all right. The Broncos, by the way,
are knocking on the board right now, the door right now,
and quarterback sneak is looks like the Cowboys may have
stone him on that Quarterback sneak third and goal. Don't
call it a comeback. No, they're saying touchdown, Teddy Bridgewater.

(01:42:19):
They're gonna review this play. That's why they call him touchdown?
Teddy answer, since I said I think the Cowboys might
be the best team in the NFL. Alright, we're watching
a review of this play. He got, how's this a touchdown? Well,
he's reaching across. But wow, I'm not so sure on

(01:42:41):
this one. That's gonna be reviewed. I guess it depends
on when the whistle was blown on that play it is.
They gave him every opportunity to try to get the
ball across the goal line. Physically he did not. He
reached across with the ball as he was standing up. Uh.
There's still reviewing the play right now. But if it holds. Uh,
Denver leading the Cowboys by a score of twenty five. Nothing,

(01:43:03):
we don't call it a come back. We got Cincinnati
just punched it in. The Jaguars are seconding goal on
the goal line the last two number one overall picks
of the draft, Baby Burrow and Lawrence. But the Bengals
have scored. Let's see if the Jags can punch this
one alright, So for the Bengals, it's a long way
to go. Although they are coming to the end of

(01:43:24):
the third quarter here, so they had a quarter to play.
But yeah, the Bengals have scored. It looks like they're
gonna go for two. And the reason being is they're
down eighteen. If they get the two point conversion, they're
down two scores. I always think this is a mistake.
I agree, I know what the analytics say. I get it.
If you kick the field goal, if you kicked the

(01:43:44):
extra point. Excuse me, he looks silly. Go ahead, by
the way, to add insult to injury here for the Cowboys. Uh,
the Broncos one for two and they got it. Make
it seven nothing. There you go, twenty seven nothing. Broncos
on the road against Cowboys, not in Dallas, though not Dallas.

(01:44:07):
The Cowboys have not lost the games since they're opener
against Tampa. That's unbelievable. And here they are on a
six game winning streak hosting a Broncos team that has
shown nothing of note this year. The bank you said
a little bit earlier, they have. The Broncos have been
as anonymous as any team in the NFL. If they're

(01:44:27):
not playing the someone else, I'm only watched them when
they play somebody else, I want to watch. The Bengals
got stoned on fourth down. It looked like, by the
way the Bengals that was the two point conversion. Sixty
and the Browns maintain their lead over the Cincinnati Bengals.
All right, let's find out what's trending right now. We'll
turn it back to David Gascon. He's been bragging about

(01:44:48):
his vikings pick today games. Game it is it is,
you know, if Denver ends up winning this game, which
looks like they will. Your executive producer, Ryan Burr singer
owes me a bottle of mccallen's. Really is how it happened? Ryan,
you didn't even tell us you bet the bank on
Dallas today. Nope, No, it's your executive producers making that

(01:45:08):
cheese man coughing up. Ryan will be cheap on us
now he's spending it. He has a lot, he has
overhead with his girlfriend. You know that is that his
girlfriend is there? His fiance? Is it a fiance? Now,
big announcement? That's my girlfriend? Girl? Whoa? I hope she's
not listening. You're talking about man, future fiance? You make
make a commitment here? Ryan giscon six undred stations. Come on, man,

(01:45:30):
what it? Don't under sell us? She listens to every
second of every show that he produces. Ryan's turned bright
rate that announcement. Guys. Yeah, Minnesota has that seven point
advantage right now over Baltimore, but the Ravens are driving it.
First down and goal to go from the Vikings eight
yard line. Still plenty of time ago in the fourth core,

(01:45:51):
about ten and a happnutes to go in that contest.
Jaguars by three over the Bills nine to six. Mentioned
the Browns and Bengals earlier, makes the snap play action
fake back in the pocket, throws right sideline and cracked off.
HiT's that's a ward. He's in the thirty five forty,
he's in the fifty. He's in the forty thirty twenty
depth game ten fir touchdown pack sex that's award is star.

(01:46:18):
He certainly is. Brown's thirty four sixteen over the Cincinnati Bengals.
I want to guess Nick Chubb's yards per carrying this contest,
guys ten Aaron, It's that feels about right, Yeah, it would,
but it's twelve point three. He did have that seventy
yard run. He did nine nine carries for a hundred

(01:46:41):
eleven yards and uh two scores in that ball game Denvers,
You guys mentioned twenty seven and nothing over the Dallas Cowboys.
Miami seventeen six over Houston Dolphins. Defense has three picks
so far. Atlanta leading at the Saints like we all
thought would happen, Atlanta Matt Ryan to seventy four and
to score Raiders on the move down by four, the

(01:47:03):
Giants sixteen six ten to play in the fourth Quartering, guys,
I don't know. Do you think Sam Donald can sit
in that chair next year? No, Steve, No, he wanted
to be sitting in the chair next week. He Uh,
he's gonna pick six through another pick in the end zone.
Patriots are smothering the Panthers six. I'm telling you all

(01:47:26):
these coaches they think they got forever. By the way,
I have an up date for Gascon touchdown, Ravens touchdown,
Ravens extra point is good, but we are all tied
up now. The Vikings anointed the promised team today by
one David Gascon. Uh, and now they have blown their lead.

(01:47:48):
Is plus. I'm just terrorist, I'm just I'm just stating fact.
Right now. We need a game here, and we want
to get an exciting finished at least one of these
early games. Did you see Jacksonville kicked the field goal.
They're up nine six, they had to settle for the
field goal. Five field goals and that hum dinger. Jacksonville

(01:48:11):
leading the Bills by a score of nine. To telling
our grandkids about that one a few years from now. Yeah, uh,
let's hear a get this Bronco's highlight. What it looks
like he's gonna sneak here he does. Teddy off right guard,
tries to lean the ball over. It's knocked out of
his hands. Now let's see, still no indication, and now

(01:48:31):
they're gonna say one line. Judge says touch now, touchdown
Teddy Bridgewater, Dallas to the seven man box. Teddy takes
a snap, looks left, bounces around pinballs now roll streets right,
chased by Parsons, throws the ball in the run. It
is caught by Courtland Sutton in the two point conversion.
Is good? Okay? Oh? Eight fifty a m and ninety
four point one f M. Broncos Radio Network and I

(01:48:53):
Heart affiliate Broncos leading the Cowboys twenty seven nothing ving zero.
Just a bad day for everybody on set. Huh, Gascon
had the vikings, I was praising the Cowboys. You were
all in on, Trevor Simeon. I'm a double loser today, Saints.

(01:49:13):
Do you get a touchdown? By the way, Taysom Hill
a little late though, they're down the Falcons now inside
eight minutes to go in the fourth quarter. All right,
So the games that we got, we got three games
right now, they're still in play. That would be the
Giants leading the Raiders. Twenty to sixteen. We're at the
six minute mark now the fourth quarter, Raiders with the

(01:49:34):
ball deep in their own territory. Long way to go there.
You mentioned the Jaguars lead against the Bills, Bills near
midfield right now and trailing nine to six, and then
we got a tie game Ravens and Vikings nine minutes
to go. We've got a question for you. So Dolphins
up seventeen six um against Houston, Houston's driving. What are

(01:49:57):
we what are we gonna do about this Dolphins quarterback situation?
We two, is not the guy. The franchise doesn't trust him.
He can't stay healthy. Like what what? What is going
to happen with that position for that team in the
next Well, let's get back to the Deshaun Watson situation.
And we and I said this leading up Aaron, no
trade could be made until the team had a definitive

(01:50:17):
answer on what the league was gonna do with Deshaun Watson.
Now you wanted to settle those civil suits. Uh, that's
something you can do with money. Start throwing money around,
they go away. But when you have a you know,
a waiver that says you're not going to talk about it,
some of the women boxed at that idea, But I'm
not making a deal until I know from the league

(01:50:37):
what are we looking at. Total suspend him the rest
of the years. And there's no reason for the Texans
to trade him either because you're not gonna get anything
close to what value you need to rebuild your team.
So so when you do get clarification, which I think
will come after the season as far as Deshaun Watson
is concerned, then I think a they're going to be
in a better bargaining position to the Texans because you
need competition for his services and for any other team. Look,

(01:51:00):
I'm not gonna bring him in now if he can't
play the rest of the season. Um, so that that
will be part of the equation. As far as the Dolphins, now,
I know you're a big to a fan, the problem
is staying healthy. If you're not on the field, then
he's a very little value to you. And he can
hardly call him a franchise quarterback if he can't stay

(01:51:21):
on the field. But by the way, guys, Dak Prescott
just intercepted Cooper rush time baby call the bullpen eight
of twenty three, a hundred and two yards in a
pick doesn't get the best team in the league. I
was talking about when Cooper Rush is under. I mean,

(01:51:41):
I don't know what what's so confusing about of twenty
three d two yards Now. I don't know what Denver
is doing defensively today because everything is working. But I
would imagine other teams are gonna be looking at this
game like, wow, what did they do to completely shut
down Dallas? Is offen? This is one I don't know
if they do it in the NFL, but in college,

(01:52:03):
you you know how you read those stories about a
really bad game and the coach literally buries the game
tape to move on from it, like digs a hole,
puts the tape in, says boys were moving on to
the next one. That's what you gotta do. He's ready
to cry. It looked like, yeah, his head is down
and he's about to weep. When you see your career
flashing before your eyes, a Cooper Rush right next to
you on the sidelines, that's what happens. Well after the pick,

(01:52:26):
we're looking at Denver trying to add to their twenty
seven and nothing lad there at the Dallas twenty nine
yard line. First down there, we just got a super
extended camera angle on Brown's offensive line coach Bill Callahan,
Like it's just another guy that you just forget, like
was a human being, Like I just haven't thought about
Bill Callahan in probably fifteen years. Guys. We need to

(01:52:48):
flip some of these games right now, all right, So
we've been the games that we thought were gonna be
good games are not. Uh, we can flip off that
Brown's Bengals game that's going nowhere. Le Broncos Cowboys game
is certainly going nowhere. So let's see if we can
get up Giants, Raiders, Jags, Bills, and the Ravens and Vikings.
Those are the three games that at least right now

(01:53:09):
are in play around the NFL. Are blowing at Lanta,
New Orleans to or should we stay away from now?
I wish I wish well Texans right now, they have
a third in goal on the Miami two yard line.
If they can get into the end zone, that would
be a one score game between the Texans and Dolphins.
But let's get those other three games up. Um. We

(01:53:31):
have a plethora of viewing options here, but we get
to watch to watch that. Yeah, we don't need to
see anywhere of that line. I'm gonna put that one
in the bank. Broncos are gonna win that game against
the Cowboys. All right, let's see what we got going
on here we are, Oh, like Derek Carr just got
picked off. Here's the Raiders are trying to drive. So

(01:53:52):
Giants have the ball once again. So five twelve to go.
Giants with the ball, and they have a first down
there at the Vegas thirty nine yard line. So what
you know, we're talking about Vegas and being on the road.
It might work for them. A couple of ill time
Derek Carr interceptions have undermined this Vegas attack. Daniel Jones

(01:54:16):
hasn't done a lot for the Giants, but this game
becomes a game of turnovers. I'm looking at overall stats
right now they favor the Raiders, but a couple of
turnovers have been the difference. And that's why the Giants
still lead this game. Twenties sixteen. They have the ball,
they're in Raiders territory and we got four and a
half minutes to go. We have four and a half
minutes to go. Um and my hypothesis that would be

(01:54:38):
better for the Raiders to get away. I mean they
could still come back and win this game. But yeah,
it's it's been a sloppy performance. They started out well,
they were up what thirteen to seven. I think at
one point you had the ball, you felt good about them,
and it's been all pretty much downhill since then. Looking
at the a f C seatings going into today, ready
for this? Do we have number one seed Titans they
play later on the road against the rans of that

(01:55:00):
Derrick Henry. Number two seed Raiders they're losing right now.
Number three seed Ravens they're tied right now. Number four
seed Bills they're losing. Number five seed Bengals, they're losing.
How's that looking? I told you Patriots and Brown's two
best teams in the a f C. Uh, you know
who is the sixth seed? That would be the Steelers. Unbelievable.

(01:55:23):
They're just kind of like, you know, they're just kind
of like that guy at the party. They're just kind
of hanging out by the chip bowl, just having a
good time. Nobody's really paying attention. So you remember after
they had the stunning upset in the first game against Buffalo,
they rattled out three straight losses where everyone was saying
that's it, it's over. Big band. See you later. But again,
we talked about it earlier. You look at what the

(01:55:44):
losses were. Raiders all of a sudden, better than we thought,
Bengals certainly despite the score today, better than what we
thought Packers Obviously at that point, we're still trying to
figure out what Week one against New Orleans meant. So
I'm just saying, Broncos end up with a field goal
thirty to nothing. Remember leading the Dallas Cowboys thirty to nothing?

(01:56:05):
They lead? Am I watching the Saints driving right now?
What is going on with the Saints? Trevor simeons On,
don't fire to come back? Okay, wait a second here,
it's first in goal for the Saints are down to thirteen.
It's not like we've seen Atlanta blow any late leads,
have we? No? Uh, that's what That's just what I'm

(01:56:28):
saying about mat Ryan. He's just he's just a guy.
He's just a guy. He has the lead. All right, Well,
we got a time out for the Saints right now,
forty two to go in the fourth quarter, and this
one is not over. Uh, they are trailing. They got
a first ang goal, all right, We're coming down the
stretch all of a sudden couple of more games in play.
For what's gonna happen next, Keep it right here on

(01:56:49):
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio,
and we've got the place that you may have missed
inside handoff Cameara and he will get into the end zone.
Touchdown Alvin Camara. Now back live to the studios of

(01:57:13):
Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio. That
is ww L Saints Radio Network. We got a game,
got a game there. They went for a two point
aversion failed, so the Falcons still lead the Saints and
nineteen inside three minutes to go, and Atlanta is facing

(01:57:35):
a four down right now, so I'm gonna have to
get the ball back to the Saints. See if the
Saints can pull that game out. All right, We got
a lot going on right now and that game between
the Vikings and the Ravens. Jackson out of the gun,
takes the snap, pumps once throws to the back of
the end zone, and it is called one headed grab touchdown.

(01:57:57):
Kevin kober Day and the ray Ones are an extra
point away from tie up backs in the offset I
Levyan bel De deep Back gets to carry right side
pushes behind the pile touchdown Levon Bill and the Ravens,
for the first time since the opening drive, have taken
the lead. W B A. L. Ravens Radio Network. You

(01:58:19):
heard that, right, back to back touchdowns by the Ravens.
They were down twenty four to ten. They now lead
the Vikings thirty one to twenty four inside three and
a half minutes ago in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, Aaron
Josh Allen is having a disastrous day. He just got
stripped fumble and the Jaguars have the ball and they

(01:58:42):
have the lead nine to six. Well, uh, disastrous day
for which Josh Allen. Josh Allen just had the strip
So I mean it's a great day for one of
the Josh Allen's, but not the one that is the
second highest paid player in the NFL. Right now, Uh,
Bills did not show up. I have not shown up.
And now the Jags are running down the clock five
and a half minutes to go and counting. Dallas finally

(01:59:03):
scored and they got a two point conversion. Do not
buy any comeback. Though Dak Prescott did throw a touchdown pass.
Let's see Malik Turner was on the receiving end of
that pass. Broncho still lead this game by a score
of thirty to eight. Eight. This is a bizarre day.

(01:59:23):
I mean, my biggest takeaway, I mean, obviously the Dallas thing,
but like, what is going on in the a f C?
Is anybody good? And is anybody good? Oh? We just
talked about it. The top five seeds, although the Ravens
now have taken the lead. If the Ravens win this game,
they could well be the number one seed in the

(01:59:44):
a f C again, they would get to six and
two on the season. You're ready to jump back on
the Ravens bandwagon after that went away when they got
blown out by the Bengals a couple of weeks ago.
But maybe, I mean, I listen day they got the
number one seed a few years ago. They want to
playoff game last year. It's obviously wide open by the way.

(02:00:05):
I know they lost last week. But where we kind
of did in the conversation about the a f C,
we did just very quickly brush aside the Los Angeles charge.
I know that I was gonna mention. In fact, I
wanted to ask about the Chargers. They have an interesting
game today on the road against the Eagles. The line
on that game has been going the Eagles way. Problem

(02:00:30):
for the Chargers right now is that suddenly Justin Herbert
is making mistakes again something he was able to avoid
for about three weeks in a row. And they are
dead last in run defense in the NFL two out
of thirty two. They cannot stop the run. Eagles are
running team. So I guess that's the play there is
that Jalen Hurts and company are going to be able

(02:00:51):
to run the ball. But I want to update on
Lamar Jackson. When we talked about m VP candidates, we
were talking about this got a little bit interrupted about
the change in Lamar Jackson we've seen over the last
couple of years. Is his ability to bring them back
then I have to do that as m VP season
when they were blowing out everybody today, look at these
numbers nineteen thirty one seventy eight yards, three touchdowns in

(02:01:14):
a pick. Oh, by the way, twenty carries for a
hundred fifteen yards. Yeah, I mean he would argue against
Lamar Jackson as an m v P. I was just
gonna say that. I mean, listen, I mean the evolution
of his game has been so awesome. Where Like you said,
I think he brought up the important point of earlier
in the show. I forget if it was this hour
or another hour, but it was a lot of blowout
wins that m VP year playing from ahead, dictating tempo,

(02:01:37):
dictating terms last couple of years. Obviously he goes ahead
and has a lot of comebacks. All right, we're keeping
her eye on the Raiders and the Giants were inside
a minute ago. Now on the fourth quarter, Giants leading
twenty three to sixteen, and the Raiders have the ball
at the Giants sixteen yard line. It is third and two.

(02:01:58):
Let's keep it right here on this game, same Derek Carr,
looking for a little magic where the Raiders could use
some after a very very tough week for the Silver
and Black. Third and two, they are at the Giants
sixteen yard line. Car will throw the ball and that
is going to be a first down. See where they
market it is a first down for the Raiders. So

(02:02:20):
fifty seconds ball out of bounds. Clock is stopped. Uh
and the Raiders of the Raiders obviously looking to tie
this game and hopefully for them, try to get him
into overtime. Derek Carr in this game right now, updated
thirty of forty five passing in this game, just around
three hundred yards passing in the game. Fascinating one. Obviously,

(02:02:43):
we're we're driving towards potentially over time here. It's a
great considering what the slate looked like this morning. It's
been a great slate of games this afternoon. Well, we
didn't have we certainly had some unexpected results all right,
First down for the Raiders, and it looks like the
official just got run over by somebody that was going
on there. They blew the whistle and uh, they have

(02:03:04):
yet to signify what's going on. We got some heated
exchange going on right now between some of the Raiders
and Giants players. The official. It was a time out
for the Giants, is what happened. The Giants called a
time out fifty seconds to go again. First down for

(02:03:25):
the Raiders. The Raiders that snapped the ball, but the
Giants apparently called the time out. But by the way,
Trevor Lawrence had a wide receiver streaking down the field
untouched and overthrew them, which would have basically sealed the
win over the Bills. And that wasn't even close. That
game is still nine to six, Jacksonville leading the Buffalo Bills.
And Jackson was gonna have to punt the ball with

(02:03:47):
three minutes to go in the fourth quarter. All right,
some exciting finishes coming up for all the latest news
around the National Football League. Hey, you're already here. This
is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Fox Sports Radio has

to listen live. First and Goal Prescott back looks left
at Elliott, won't go there, backside of the end zone.
Malik Turner's got a touchdown. That is I'm in the
state of shock. Dallas Cowboys Radio Network. Yeah, the Cowboys
finally did score that game, losing now to the Broncos

(02:04:30):
eight a minute to go. We've had a couple of
games flip Big Time, Harvard and tours with you here
on Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. The Saints are leading
the Falcons to twenty four. However, the Falcons have a
first and ten at the Saints eleven yard line. We
got one oh one to go, so I would imagine

(02:04:53):
the game plan here is to run the clock down
and walk away with a field goal. If you can
get that field goal, Uh, look at that there. It's
almost like the there's a fumble. There's a fumble by
the Falcons. Did the Saints recover? This would be unbelievable.
Oh no, they say the Falcons recovered the Falcons running back.

(02:05:17):
I would't I didn't see who it was was. Basically,
the Saints are trying to let him score. Yes, they
were basically telling him walk into the end zone. He refused.
He sort of let up for a second and the
ball got knocked out of his hands. But the Falcons
did recover. So we're inside a minute ago and the
Saints still leading the Falcons by a score of twenty

(02:05:39):
five to four. All right, let's hear that Saints touchdown
back to pass throwing towards the end zone. That passes talk,
But I think he stuck the ball across and he dude,
and that is a touchsdown for the launch far side
Kenny Stills w w L Saints Radio Network. So that
put the Saints in the least twenty five to twenty four.

(02:06:02):
But the Falcons do have the ball, trying to get
themselves in a position for a game winning field goal. Meanwhile,
the Vikings tied it up against the Ravens thirty one
all with a minute to go. Let's hear that Viking score.
Jefferson slot left, Perk back to pass, per Feeling caught
the sto Adam Feeling his seventh touchdown this season. Let's

(02:06:27):
go E one nine. Hey, fam Innneapolis and the Vikings
radio network. Meanwhile, what's happening in that Buffalo Jacksonville game.
Buffalo was driving to get into field goal range to
tie it up. It appears as though Josh Allen, the
quarterback is sapped sacked and now, as the question is,
was the ball out? They still would have been able
to line up for a field goal. But if it's
out and recovered by Jacksonville, they'll have the ball with

(02:06:49):
about a minute to go. It looks like the ball
came Lewis before his knee hit. That does to me
as well, wow, what a day he's had. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah, Urban my here baby. Jacksonville leading this game
nine to six. We're waiting for a ruling on the
play and disappear the Buffalo fumbles and that would turn

(02:07:09):
the ball over to Jacksonville. Well, actually, now we're seeing
if alright, they're ruling right now, they're saying it's a
fourth down, so apparently Buffalo did recover the fumble. Obviously,
you have to go for it. Now, fourth and fifteen
for Buffalo with a minute to go, trailing in this
game by a score of nine to six. Dallas, by

(02:07:30):
the way, got another garbage time touchdown and two point conversion.
Garbage time. Excuse you come back? Thirty to sixteen. Now
Broncos lead. They have the ball with less than a
minute to go. I will tell you that Josh that
does not even look close to him being down unless
I'm missing an angle here. I don't know if they're

(02:07:51):
going back to review it, but it didn't even look
close to his knee being down. But I guess, I
guess I missed something. All right. So it's at the
forty eight yard line, fourth and sixteen, and now there
time out Jacksonville minute eleven to go. Jacksonville has called
the time out. Buffalo is facing a fourth and sixteen

(02:08:12):
there at the Jacksonville forty eight yard line, and the
Jacksonville leading to this game by a score of nine
to six. All right, keeping a rise on the Ravens
and Vikings. Twenty six seconds to go in regulation, Baltimore
has the ball. They are near an past midfield. The
clock is stopped with twenty two seconds to go, and

(02:08:35):
Baltimore frantically trying to get into field goal position. And
to say that they have the right field goal kicker,
considering he had a sixty six yard all the air,
we're on the air. I feel bad for Dan Campbell.
Let me just say, well, he lost that game in
a sixty six yard He lost a fifty four yard
field goal. Both games, by the way, score nineteen and seventeen.

(02:08:58):
But yeah, we were sitting here on the when we
watch that Justin Tucker kick go up. Uh Falcons, by
the way, they've won it. They have won it. So
the Falcons get the field goal. It is over. They
have beaten the Saints by a score of twenty seven
to and of course, a little bit earlier, the Giants
did come away with the victory against the Raiders by

(02:09:21):
a score of twenty three to sixteen. Alright, fourth and
sixteen for the Bills. Alan throws it and it is incomplete, incomplete,
and that means that Jacksonville Jaguars are gonna be able
to run it out a minute to go on the game,
and the Jaguars, barring some disaster are gonna escape with

(02:09:42):
a victory at home against the Buffalo Bills. I love
this sport man. This is you know, and I'm fortunate
enough to do the Saturday Night Show where we're reacting
to a lot of college football. This is a lot
of fun. First of all, thank you to Richard Berger.
I hope he's having a blast in Hawaii. But this
is a really on time slot to be in. So
oh yeah, because we got all the exciting games going on.

(02:10:03):
By the way, we also got games kicking off right now.
That Chargers Eagles game is just underway. Eagles, let have
the ball first in that game. And then of course
later on we've got Packers, Chiefs, We've got Cardinals forty Niners.
Those games would get started as we are here. Um,
I was just watching here. Lamar Jackson went down awkwardly,

(02:10:26):
and there's a time out on the field right now,
thirty one all Ravens and Vikings. We got seventeen seconds
to go. It looked like was that Mark Andrews that
went down? Yeah, it looks like he's getting up them,
and so Mark Andrews is up. Meanwhile, we're watching Jacksonville.
There's just not enough time out for the Bills. Yeah,

(02:10:48):
they have used their first time out. Sean Sean McDermott
is clapping aggressively on the sidelines, trying to figure out
a way to get a little turn over here. But
it looks like Jacksonville is gonna win alright. So final now,
Broncos beat the Cowboys thirty to sixteen. That game was
thirty to nothing. Uh so don't be deceived by that score.
That game was all Broncos all the way. Falcons, as

(02:11:09):
we mentioned, escape with the victory against the Saints. Patriots
take care of the Panthers today twenty four to six,
three interceptions or Sam Donald his time as a Carolina
quarterback could be over quickly. And the Raiders, in a
very emotional week for them, were not able to come back.
And the Giants will win that game by a score
of twenty three to sixteen. So again, as we look

(02:11:31):
at the overall picture in the a f C, we're
seeing a lot of teams that came in the week
looking good that are not looking as good right now.
The Bills lose, oh they haven't lost yet. Got Jacksonville.
When anytime I see a handoff, I always think of
like I don't know, Larry Zanka. I mean I go

(02:11:53):
old school at the Giants, the Miracle of the meadow Lands.
That one uh Bills losing Raiders of lost Bengals, lose
uh Chargers. You've talked about the Chargers today. They can
put themselves under a pretty good position. I can't see
the Chargers. This was another one of my picks today.
By the way, Charges minus one and a half on Philadelphia.
I can't imagine the Chargers losing three straight, right, I'm

(02:12:16):
with you, No, I'm with you. And by the way,
you mentioned, uh, the craziness of today New England with
the win against Carolina, they are now six and four.
Buffalo is five and three, So that, by my math,
is what a game out of first place for New
England after actually there'll be five and four? Who would
be New England? New England five and four? You said,

(02:12:37):
so did they already tally the win? My yeah, they're
five and four, five and four, Okay, I added a
win there, so five and nine weeks so nobody's had
ten games, okay, Okay, said I was a math expert. Okay,
I'm looking at I didn't know they updated the stage
this week, so they're five and four. Five position right
now in the a f C was wide open, but
Buffalo is five and three. Talk about half game back

(02:12:57):
in the division. That's all I'm saying. All Right, third down,
play this Buffalo stuff. One more time out. The clock
is running now, so Fort Jacksonville facing a fourth down
and Urban Meyers frantic, like what do I do now?
I still play in the NFL. He's yelling at his
guys like, get you guys together, and obviously they're going

(02:13:19):
to uh well, they're they're not gonna be able to
win out the clock. Gona have to punt? They do.
They have a time out. I can't see they have
one time out, right, they have one time out? One twenty.
There's twelve seconds on the play clocks. It's gonna be
down to seven. They will run it all the way down.
There's no reason too So alright, so fourth down, do

(02:13:44):
you punt? Seven seconds left? I was just gonna ask,
do you still running? But that's incorrect. Do you just
snap it to Trevor Lawrence and have him run around
like a madman for seven seconds? It's probably right on
the cusp of too much time. That's too much time.
It says three seconds the clock, but it will be
seven seconds on the clock. Uh, they'll have a reset

(02:14:06):
of the clock. We'll see how that plays out. But
even if Buffalo gets it, they're looking at a hail
Mary from beyond midfield to try to Uh they can't.
They can't. There's not enough time with no timeouts to
throw a pass, get out of bounds and set up
a vehicle. That just not seem likely. So they officially
reset the clock. Seven seconds to go. It is nine

(02:14:28):
to six Jacksonville leading Buffalo, fourth and nine for Jacksonville.
Urban Meyer is waving around frantically realizes, my god, I
can actually win a game, and it's against the Buffalo Bills.
They are gonna punt. I think that's it's that is
a smart play. Well, and the other thing too. You
give them the ball at midfield, Um, you know, you

(02:14:48):
try to run it out. You don't, You don't. Josh
Allen could put that in the ends on on one throw,
you know, and so uh so, yeah, no, it's the
right move. It's basically the only move now. And they
got the punt off pooch punt right there. That's all
they needed to do. There's no one on the return
and the ball lands at the five yard line. So
and it says no time in the clock, and that's it.
Game over. We got a smile out of urban Meyer. Wow,

(02:15:13):
urban Meyer's second win as a coach. Trevor Lawrence happy
as well that Jacksonville Jaguars have stunned the Buffalo Bills.
What is more stunning Jacksonville's win over the Bills or
Denver's win on the road against the Cowboys today. I
mean it's probably Denver, but I would say Jacksonville. I mean,

(02:15:33):
you're talking about the perceived many many people believe the
best team in the a f C coming into the week. Um,
you know, obviously Jacksonville. They had to win a few
weeks ago against uh the Dolphins in London. But then
they come back to the US and they get, you know,
last week against a bad Seattle team, And so I
would go with Jacksonville. Would you disagree with that? I

(02:15:54):
would go with Jacksonville. Yes, fourteen ap point favorites Buffalo
today losing that game. Didn't see it happening. On the
other side, Hey, we're gonna continue to roll on. We
got overtime going on right now. The Ravens will have
the ball first thirty one all against the Vikings. Keep
it right here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

(02:16:16):
This is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've got the
place that you may have missed. Josh harrisl snapped Dustin
colkittlehol snap spot kick from Cooa's away and it is
good and Atlanta is a winner in New Orleans seven
the final at the Superdome. Now back live to the

(02:16:41):
studios of Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio.
That was point nine the game Falkins Radio Networks. After
blowing a lead, Falkins this time pulled this one out
as he beat the Saints. Meanwhile, we got overtime going
on right now between the Ravens and the Vikings. Vikings

(02:17:04):
got an unbelievable play by Anthony Barr. The Ravens were
already in Vikings territory and he tipped a Lamar Jackson
passed and intercepted it. However, the Vikings did nothing with it.
So the Vikings are now plunting the ball to the Ravens.
We got five nineteen and counting right now in this overtime.

(02:17:28):
What a day? What a day? I wonder you know,
I know you're not a Vegas guy. I wonder what
a money line parlay of Denver and Jacksonville would be.
That would be for people who are not gamblers. That
is a straight up bet, and you combine the two
bets together. I would I would love to know somebody,
you know, listening out there is probably yelling at us

(02:17:49):
saying I did that. Yeah. Well, tweeting, yeah, tweet and
somebody tweeted in not too long ago with some good information.
The guy that was tweeting about Josh Allen also tweeted
me something else good, something interesting. Alright, Chargers and Eagles.
That game is just underway right now. The Chargers are
all the way down to the Eagles. Well, they're inside
the five yard line. This is the Chargers team that

(02:18:11):
a lot of people were hyping up after that amazing
game they had against Cleveland, and they were going in
on fourth down, didn't matter fort the nineteen. We're at
our own twenty yard line. We're just gonna go for
the analytics, Steve, it's the analytics, and they were getting
first down. So they tried the same thing against the
Ravens the next week. It was a disaster. They got

(02:18:32):
absolutely blown out of that game and then you figured,
all right, So then they had a bye week to
get ready for the Patriots, a home game, and they
lost that game. So that's where the Chargers stand for
and three on the season. Ravens have the ball right
now after the Vikings punt, were at the five minute
mark of the overtime and they're trying to move the

(02:18:55):
ball down the field. Lamar Jackson, big game right here. Yeah,
he's pretty good. I'm hearing good things about this Jackson.
By the way, you know, after that turnover the bar play,
which was really a remarkable play tip to the line
of scrimmage, was able to catch the ball for the interception.
It was like a golden opportunity, right, Kirk Cousins, come on,
let's do something. Nothing nothing speaking, absolutely nothing. Uh, the

(02:19:19):
Chargers are getting stone at the goal line right now
by this Eagles defense. Where do you stand on this
Philadelphia Eagles team right now? Aaron Um. You know how
there's like whenever there's a big social justice cause and
people like I stand with I do not stand with
the Philadelphia Eagles right now now? You are is Jalen Hurts,
a franchise quarterback. So it was really funny. So I

(02:19:39):
was filling in with Jason smith Um while the Thursday
night game against Tampa. And I respect that guy, Jason.
I'm not criticizing him at all, but he was on
this like this proves Jalen Hurts is underrated and but
like I think he's fine, I don't. Again, we talked
about a little bit with Daniel Jones. Is there are

(02:20:00):
guy the guys, the Joe Burrows, the Lamar Jackson's. You
can even be on a bad team and I'm not
saying Lamar Jackson was and elevate your team even when
you're not a super Bowl contender. And I think Jalen
Hurts is a guy that can be in this league
for ten years have success, But I don't know that
he's a franchise guy. All right, here's the analytics play

(02:20:21):
four down for the Chargers, and they are not gonna
kick the field goal. They're gonna go for it on
fourth and goal. By the way, the third down pass
was not a great throw by Herbert there at the
three yard line. They're going for it, no score. Early
in the game, Herbert rolls out throws the ball and
that is short. I hate it, and they get nothing.

(02:20:41):
So the analytics are backfiring on the Chargers over the
last several weeks. So there's a college analogy to this.
And I know this is NFL Red Zone radio, but
Lane Kiffin keeps doing this. He had a bunch of
he left a ton of points on the field the
other day when they played Auburn. It is so stupid.
It's the first quarter, the first drive of the game
for the Chargers. You're on the road. Take two points.
I don't care what the stupid analytics, the stupid binder

(02:21:04):
that you're holding says, kick the ball, get the points.
It's that if their kicker is hurt, like if your
kicker has a pulled hamstring, Well they have a new kicker.
Remember they had to cut their kicker after he missed
five extra points. I remember that this guy, you know
he was he was a doozy. Um. Yeah, they don't
have strong kicking. But this is Brandon Stale, I tell you.

(02:21:24):
After that Cleveland game, boy, this guy, he that's the
wave of the future. You go for it on fourth
down every single time. And now we see what happens.
All right, we are still tied at thirty one, two
sixteen to go in the overtime, Ravens with the ball
and they got a first down. Uh so the Ravens
trying to get themselves in the field goal position and

(02:21:46):
you have a Hall of Fame kicker. That's a good
position to be in with Justin Tucker for sure. For them. Again,
how much how many players would you run right now?
If you're the Ravens when you have Tucker, you just
keep going down and it's not like you're running clock.
So right now we are staying, we're looking at about

(02:22:08):
a fifty yard field goal for him. They're just gonna
run the ball and they're down. I I wouldn't. I
wouldn't risk many more plays. I'm telling you. See, here's
my thing. So I get the whole kick the field goal.
Oh well, we might have a hole there you go.
That's why you see on on a straight run holding

(02:22:30):
on the Ravens and all of a sudden you're there
throwing unless you're ready for another sixty six yard field goal.
But that's what happens if you keep running plays. You
had a fifty fifty yard field goal for Justin Tucker
is automatic. Sixty yard field goal is not automatic. And
it's so funny because you always think about just this

(02:22:50):
whole thing of what if the field goal gets blocked,
you recover it, you get another shot, And it's like,
I've never seen that actually happen, But I guess the
alternative is something dumb like that at where you could
potentially you could potentially lose yard John the penalty. All
right there, Raynolds swing pass, so the ball is down
to the thirty eight yard line of the Vikings. Again,
we're looking at a fifty five yard field goal at

(02:23:13):
this point two oh six to go in the overtime
period as the Ravens just trying to get Justin Tucker
on the field to end this game against the Vikings.
Two oh six to go. Lamar Jackson, by the way,
three yards, three touchdowns. He has thrown two interceptions for

(02:23:33):
every ending. There's a new beginning. Jordan's Love just took
the field as the starting quarterback of the Green Bay Packers.
All right, so that poetry kicking off right there. What
is your prediction for Jordan's Love today? I don't think
he looks terrible because the Chief's defense is terrible. I'm
out on the Chief. So let the record show my
Super Bowl pick in there is the Kansas City Chiefs.

(02:23:54):
I am completely out on him. I think he looks fine,
in large part because I think the Chiefs are terrible
and I expect uh Chiefs might win, but I think
it's gonna be ugly, low scoring, in part because of
the Chiefs as well as the Packers. All Right, Lamar
Jackson has completed and passed down to the thirty five
yard line. Uh that was the first down play. Um

(02:24:14):
still trying to you know, get the ball into better position.
One to go in overtime, Ravens trying to get themselves
in the field goal position. Jordan's loves first pass of
the game incomplete, incomplete could be a metaphor for what's
what's to come today. Eagles have the ball after stoning
the Chargers. I don't get it. I I just do
not get with what this this Brandon Staley is doing

(02:24:37):
with this going for forth down woof Eagles barely get
the ball out of the end zone on our first down,
run right into a stone wall. This is a Chargers
team that comes into the game rank thirty second, dead
last in rushing defense, which is like a lot of
people think the Eagles should fare fairly well today. A
pretty good running team by the way, justin Herbert when

(02:25:00):
up at first drive of the game six and nine
for eighty one yards passing, but it comes back with
no points. No points for the Chargers on that opening drive.
All right, let's let's break a little orally. Let's find
out what's trending right now, because this man has got
all the updated information on what has been a very
busy day around the NFL. That would be Mr David

(02:25:21):
gascon Man. I'm curious on this Charger's stance, But I
don't know. I mean, you damned if you do. Damned
if you don't, right, I mean, are you I mean
damned if you do kick a field goal and get points?
Are you really damned? The idea of going for that
offense for Philadelphia is terrible. Well, you really expect that
Philadelphia offense to go ninety nine yards on you? It

(02:25:44):
wasn't like a fifty four yard vehicles. Yeah, but I
mean I get it. You're it's fourth down and cool
to go from the two. Well, now the Eagles are
punning out of the back of their ends exactly. You
can go for seven. Show some balls, gascon I like that. Wow,
you're gonna be saying that the call in New Mexico State.
Uh yeah, come on, Russ Turner, come come on, big

(02:26:05):
play alright. Sorry, no one cares except for you and
I on that one. Sorry, you're talking a little New
Mexico State, you see. Irvine, Baby and Eater. Uh fellas
are in overtime right now, still thirty one thirty one
Vikings and ravens Lamar Jackson two sixty six through the air,
three touchdowns, a hundred twenty yards on the ground. Charges
and Eagles are scoreless right now. Sam with the Packers

(02:26:25):
and the Chiefs Arizona today without DeAndre Hopkins and no
Cayler Murray. San Francisco has the football at Arizona's forty
two yard line. No scored just yet. Brown's tattooed the
Bengals for one sixteen Joe Burrow two picks, one of
them was a pick six. Nick Chubb one thirties seven
on the ground, two touchdowns Denver thirty to sixteen over Dallas.
They scored two cheap touchdowns at the end Miami all

(02:26:47):
over Houston seventeen nine. Atlanta lead the majority the game,
nearly gave it up, kicked the last second field goal
to drop the Saints five, and of course the shocker
Jacksonville nine six over the Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen was
awful in the day. It was sacked twice, maybe sacked
four times. Through two I N T s. He had
two and sixty four yards, but obviously nothing doing for

(02:27:09):
the Buffalo Bills. Jacksonville gets their second one of the season.
All right, thank you very much, David. And again, if
the Ravens do win this game, and it looks like
Justin Tucker this has been the slowest drive of all time,
but at some point it's Justin Tucker gets onto the field.
If he can kick the game winning field goal, the
Ravens would suddenly be the number one seed in the

(02:27:31):
a f C. Now that's penning the Titans game tonight,
Titans on the road against the Ramps. Of course they're
gonna be without Derrick Henry Um. What do you think
of Adrian Peterson? Well, how much? How much? How much?
I mean, you're replacing a guy that is at the
peak of his power, carrying the ball times a game.
What can you do with Adrian Peterson? I don't know.

(02:27:51):
And this was well that's not really why. But I
was never a big believer in the Titans because at
some point Ryan Tannehill is gonna have to win games.
And I think he's five and I think he's okay.
I think he's an above average quarterback. I don't think
he's a guy that can put a team on his
shoulders himself. And I thought it was really weird when
everybody this offseason, well, I mean they got Julio. Julio
Jos is thirty three years old, and so if you

(02:28:13):
can slow down Derrick Henry, you can have success. And
now we see what the ramifications of not having him
at all can be, especially by the way it gainst
an offense that can obviously score points in a hurry.
Another game that has just kicked off, Cardinals on the
road against the forty Niners. If you missed the news earlier,
No Kyler Murray, no DeAndre Hopkins for Arizona. Jimmy Garoppolo

(02:28:34):
on the opening drive to a Ford twenty three yards uh.
The forty Niners, however, had to kick, so Arizona will
get the ball. Who's the Arizona quarterback in this game, now,
Gino Smith? I think no. I don't know how Co McCoy,
co Sam Bradford is his back cold. Garrett Gilbert will

(02:28:54):
be coming in for him. All right. So after the
Eagles planned, the Chargers got the ball back and once
again the deep in the Eagles territory. We'll keep our
eye on the Chargers trying to get into the end zone,
something they failed to do on their opening drive. All right,
final time out for the Ravens. This is just endless here.

(02:29:15):
What are they doing? It's second and nine. They still
are not Now, finally they're gonna bring Justin Tucker onto
the field. There's twenty seconds to go in the overtime,
so it's very simple. If he makes it, they win.
If they if he misses, we're gonna have a tie game.
This game started, the Jaguars will winless when this game started,
I mean, this game has been going on forever and

(02:29:35):
uh alright, So Justin Tuger, let's see what the yard
is is gonna be on this one for the best kickers?
A thirty six yard field goal attempt by the best
kicker in the NFL? Are you a big believer in
kickers in the Hall of Fame? Is that okay with you? Aaron?
I'm gonna knock on wood since you said best kicker
in the NFL, even though he is, and of course
it's a part of the game. And here's the kick.

(02:29:56):
It is up and good and that is the gay
got a little love that everybody got it in and
that's it. The Ravens have come away with a thirty
four win over the Minnesota Vikings. So with that win again,
Ravens go to six and two and at least temporarily
the number one seed, uh in the a f C.

(02:30:17):
And that you get us get a sense that's gonna
move week to week. And I love you bringing up earlier.
With the Patriots winning today, I suddenly am looking at
the Patriots. They are the seven seed at five and four,
just ahead of the Browns. Here's the Steelers in the

(02:30:38):
mix now, by the way, Brown's Patriots next week and
Brown's Patriots next week, another team trying to move up
as far as city. And so the Chargers, uh, they
have another first down. In fact, there are all the
way down to the two yard line of the Eagles.
Let's see what their play calling is going to be
this time around. They were in a similar posi nitition

(02:31:00):
identical situation where the first and goal earlier in this
quarter and they walked away with zero points, deciding to
go for it on a fourth down. All right, also
on the field right now, Patrick Mahomes Jordan loves opening
drive for the Packers was a three and out. He
missed on both his past attempts over two. Kansas City

(02:31:23):
has a ball right now and they're moving along. And
where is that game? Guys, we gotta find that game. Oh,
we don't have that game. It will come on momentarily.
Big Fox was on the end of the Vikings. Okay,
all right, so I'm I'm looking around. I got the
forty Niners, and I got the Arizona card, and i's

(02:31:43):
got the Chargers Eagles game. But the Chiefs have the
ball right now on their opening drive and so far
Mahomes three or five for nineteen yards, Darryl Williams seven
yards on the ground. Uh. If that opening drive is
any indication for Green Bay. Uh, if you can only
get four yards against that Kansas City defense, could be
a rough day. And that's why earlier when we had

(02:32:05):
Joe buck On, I had asked him whether or not
they were gonna run the Aaron Rodgers offense interest or
if they were going to maybe change things up Jordan's
love obviously is not Aaron Rodgers. And he said the
indication was they were pretty much gonna give him what
they have with Aaron Rodgers. Well, that's that's a problem.

(02:32:27):
I go back a couple of years ago, remember when
Aaron Rodgers went down to his injury and Brett Hunley
came in, and they were trying to have Brett Hunley
run the Aaron Rodgers offense because Mike McCarthy had no
no idea how to run anything other than an Aaron
Rodgers offense. And they got disasters results. Speaking, disaster results,

(02:32:47):
first down for the Chargers ran right into the Philadelphia
front seven. By the way, I got a quick update
on a on a query that I had Kevin Weeber.
Remember I said, how much money could you have made
if you parlayed the Jaguars and inver to win outright?
And he tells me it was fifty three to one,
meaning that if you bet one dollars you would have
won fifty three d beat all Right, second out in

(02:33:13):
goal for the Chargers, down Chargers of the time. It
works every time. Alright get in the end zone and
the Chargers are the early six nothing lead, penning the
extra point. All right, So where are we right now?
We got the Chiefs. They have a second and six

(02:33:33):
situation right now, they are at the nine yard line
of Green Bay. Mahomes trying to get something going with
this offense checks down for a very small game. I'm
telling you, I've been trying to tell people for weeks.
Oh they'll figuring out. No, they just think it's okay,
let's just say it. Their offenses off. There's no question

(02:33:57):
about that. It really showed last week in that game
against the Giants is like, wow, what is happening here?
And if you really go back the last three or
four weeks, I mean it's been pretty bad for a while. Now.
I mean, here's the results of the last four games. Uh,
they score uh twenty last week against New York. They
scored three against Tennessee, thirteen against Washington, but they barely

(02:34:18):
scored it all in the in the first half. They
rallied late, and then twenty against Buffalo. It's not the
same offense. It is not the same offense. And Patrick
Mahomes has not been the same quarterback. He's making a
lot of mistakes. He seems like he's seeing ghosts. He's
getting the ball, throwing the ball into the turf. Alright,
can't sitting now though. On this opening drive against Screen,

(02:34:39):
Bay are knocking on the door. They're inside the one
yard line. They will have a first and goal. They're
all right, so this is good for me. I had
two games I picked in the open, all right. I
had the Chargers minus one and a half. They're up
seven nothings. That's why you were so mad about the
non field goal. But and I have Kansas City as

(02:34:59):
a seven point favorite to cover against the Packers. How
you feeling about that pick? I don't trust Kansas City,
so I think they'll win, but I don't truy. I mean,
when's the last time they beat somebody? I guess they're
assuming Jordan Loves going to get this offense going for
the Packers today. I'm assuming Patrick Mahomes is gonna get
the offense going for You're assuming Patrick Mahomes gonna get
the offense for Casey and not turn the ball over
three times. He's completed five passes for a whopping twenty

(02:35:22):
five yards. They've actually got more yards on the ground.
Right now, we're just what happened to Tyreek Hill? Where
is the unstoppable Tyreek Hill. When you can like five
super Bowls in a row, I remember that one. Yeah, yeah,
I'm telling you. The parallel with with Steph Curry is fair.
Steph Curry meteorc Rise. Then they get to that six
team finals against the Calves, He's throwing, dribbling the ball

(02:35:43):
off his foot, out of bounds. I just see a
lot of that with Patrick Mahomes right now. I can't
wait for us. Are you Are you going to go
on the record right now, Aaron Tauris and tell us
that Patrick Mahomes has won what will be his one
and only Super Bowl championship. I will not do that
because the last time I went on the record with anything,
I said the Cowboys were the best team in the

(02:36:04):
league and then they got destroyed by Denver. No. I
don't think so, But I I think there needs to
be a major overhaul. This isn't like a major overhaul meeting.
Bye bye Andy Reid, bye bye Eric b Enemy, new offense,
new twist, new turns for the girl. I don't know
that's support that. I don't know, but but I think
everybody thinks it's like a week to week thing, Like

(02:36:24):
one day they're gonna magically flip a switch. They haven't
been that team since early last season. People people think
it was, well, they're starting slow this year. They weren't that.
They weren't dominant in any way, shape or form in
the in the middle to the end of last season,
every game was a one possession game. All right, Packers
stone him on first down. It's second down now, and

(02:36:46):
that's going nowhere. So they're running into the middle of
the line at the one yard line in Green Bay.
Is stoning on third and goal for Kansas City as
they try to get in the end zone. All Right,
coming up, we're gonna get to uh war on this
opening drive for the Kansas City Chiefs. We got an
overtime victory already for the Ravens. We've got other games

(02:37:06):
going on, and we'll preview the Sunday night matchup between
the Rams and the Titans. This is Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've
got the place that you may have missed. Sam cooked
for the whole Tucker's kick is up at It is good.

(02:37:32):
The Ravens have won in overtime. That Hayes in the
barn and the Ravens are six and two. Now back
live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio. This is
Fox Red Zone Radio. That was w b A L.
Ravens Radio Network. At one point, the Vikings led that

(02:37:58):
game twenty four to ten. That's when David Gascon said, hey,
it's all Vikings. No, Baltimore wins that game by a
score of thirty four two thirty one. I want to
thank the guys today star game with the Iowa sam.
I was a weekend for you. Sad by the way,
it was okay, Hawkeyes got back on the winning track barely.

(02:38:20):
We'll take what cap are you wearing today? I'm wearing
a Santa Barbara. I was gonna that's a you see
Santa Barbara hat? You know it. I don't know what
are your ties? Your Iowa ties. I don't really like
the campus. Well, how did you even get ahold of that?
I went to the campus. I went to the one
of the its. I mean, Santa Barbara is one of
the most beautiful places. It's one of my favorite places
in this al right. So against sporting the well a
little bit of Hawkeye colors. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what

(02:38:43):
when I first walked in. Yeah, she said, there, but
you CSB, David gascon Um, you know, to be a job.
To be fair, Iowa's football team is comparable to you
see Santa Barbara. I don't think they have a football team.
They don't, they don't. That's was his whole point right now,
Sam Uh David great job is always and Ryan are

(02:39:09):
brilliant producer today, intimidated apparently by the presidents of Aaron
Torris today. But he only produced me for like three years. Yeah,
but now I guess I'm I didn't realize you had
that kind of psychological hold on Ryan. When I was single.
The ladies at the bar were the same white go
over today and they wouldn't even talk to me, won't
even make that contract. Oh maybe that was me. WHOA,

(02:39:32):
I wasn't a serial killer, My goodness, Come on, sam Um.
But far by the way, Chargers leading the Eagles now
seven nothing, Chief's over the Packers. They did get the
touchdown Travis Kelsey on the receiving and short passed from Mahomes.
No score Cardinals and forty Niners as Colt McCoy doing
his magic. What are your thoughts on this Rams game? Tonight? Seven?

(02:39:53):
A half point favorite? The latest update, Uh taking on
the Titans. I say, I said before the day you
had the Cowboys id the Rams is the best team
in the NFL. We do not know yet whether or
not von Miller will actually play for the Rams. Eventually
he will be as that ankle injury right now, Matthew
Stafford better or worse or what you expected upon his

(02:40:16):
arrival with the Rams way better. I I you know,
I knew the physical gifts obviously, but you know, knowing
Bernie Fratto, who lived in Detroit for years, knowing Rob Parker,
who lived in Detroit for years covered the team, was
at the games, those two guys convinced me this guy
is gonna be terrible. He's not gonna make the plays
that you need. And so far, so good. You brought
up the point earlier. It's a great point by you. Um,

(02:40:38):
he needs to prove it in the playoffs. He hasn't
never won a playoff game. But at the same time, yeah,
you know, you know you can do the show. You
gotta do the show right now based on what we know,
and I think he's pretty good. I do have a
question for you about the Rams. By the way, Eagles
just scored a touchdown ran right through that Charger defense,
So there are an extra point away from tying this
game up and James Conner short touchdown run. Colt McCoy

(02:40:58):
led uh Arizona Cardinals up on the San Francism forger.
So next time that you come on air, obviously you'll
be with Jeff Schwartz, but next time you and Richard together. Yeah,
Odell Beckham is a member of what team? I believe
it will be the Rams. I think so too. I
think so too. I believe it. Deshan Jackson obviously was
let go. By the way, I think Deshan Jackson will
be a nice addition to the Raiders. I think that's

(02:41:21):
a guy you would like to have for the Raiders.
But yeah, I think that. Well that wasn't there a
picture von Miller taking a picture with Odell Beckham? Well,
I know he's been actively recruiting him. Yeah, so I
think they took a picture together after von Miller's deal
to end up with the Rams. Uh field goal and
extra point attamp by the Cardinals as good so seven nothing?
Uh they lead their um. Yeah, as far as the

(02:41:44):
Rams are concerned. Here here's the stat that I really
love Jared Goff because my argument was how much better
is Matthew Stafford gonna be than Jared Goff? How about
this stat for Jared Goff, and that is Jared goss
record as a starting quarterback without Sean McVeigh owen seven

(02:42:05):
as a rookie, oh and eight this year with Detroit,
oh and fifteen without Sean McVeigh as his coach. I
heard that stat this week. I was not aware of
it until this week. But then it's a pretty incredible stuff.
That is a pretty amazing stuff. Also, shout out Jeff Fisher,
who was trying like hell to get his name into
the USC mix, even though USC is clearly now as
you know, Jeff Fisher and I went to high school

(02:42:27):
to the other that same year, same high school. When
you look at him, you see me, right, a spinning image. Uh. Well,
he played at USC. Was the legacy. He was an
insane high school He just like, well, what's the thing
about it is he's my size, right, He's like, he
just he was an insane athlete. He really was. And

(02:42:50):
he started at USC as a defensive back. He played
five years of the Bears that he was. He was
on I R the year that they won the Super
Bowl and Buddy Ryan was the defensive coordinator and said
basically to Jeff, since you're just sitting around here, how
about helping me out. After that season he retired to
go into the No No, he went into the computer

(02:43:15):
bills early stage of six. Just a very se gates,
just the two of them. He could have been very
smart guy. And then Buddy got the Philadelphia Joe and
he offered him an assistant job of the Eagles, promising him,
I'll start you as a defensive backs coach, but I
will make you my defensive coordinator within a couple of years. Wow.

(02:43:36):
I didn't know that that was the kind of promise
because Jeff had moved on. He's going to go to
a computer software and everything else. But would that kind
of offer he couldn't refuse and the rest of his history.
I did not know. You went to high school with him.
I did, same year, same high school. That's insane. Yeah,
a lot of years, a lot of years ago, a
lot of years ago, long before you've been dreamt him. Well, yeah,
that is that is factually correct. Um. Yeah, I just

(02:43:59):
think it's always funny when when a guy like that, Yeah,
you know, I mean if they call I mean I mean,
I gotta listen. It's like, yeah, of course, but they're
not gonna call stop, They're not. Anthony was another one
to Anthony. Oh yeah, if the if USC calls, I'm in.
It's like, yeah, they're not calling. What what's his future?
Anthony Lynn? Yeah, I think he's a really good He's

(02:44:20):
like Dan Quinney's a really good coordinator. He shouldn't be
a head coach. But when you say Anthony Lynn is
a good coordinator, he was a coordinator for half a season.
He was a running back coach his entire NFL coaching career.
So whatever the point is, are there any least significant
coaches then running backs coach? Maybe the tight ends coach.
I don't know, position coach. I mean, where does running

(02:44:40):
backs coach rank? I know, I'll say Dabbo Sweeney went
straight from wide receiver coach and Clemson coach, one of
the greatest of all times. So all right, Well, the
Chargers right now are tied with the Eagles seven all
in that game early on, Let's see here, we got
Herbert fifteen yards looking good. Jalen Hurts three is seven
forty seven in yards. Unbelievable day with you today. It

(02:45:02):
was Aaron torres I told you it was going to
be a very fast four hours hanging out, all right, Well,
